We're down here with Rob Rispoli. There was a lot
on the line today, but it looked like you guys
came out playing pretty loose. How were you able to
balance the stakes with what seemed to be a pretty
from our vantage point and easy performance for you guys.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I mean, in the regular season, they got they got
the best of us when they took a two to
one lead, and on a Friday night they beat us
off a tough game, really tough game on Friday. Oh no,
on Wednesday, I'm sorry. And then today we came. We
just knew like we have to just come play, be
ready to play, just play cool, cool, come just relax,
just do what we do best. And today we did

that perfectly.

Charlie West came out and gave you guys six and
a third innings. What's it like to have a guy who, hey,
he wasn't part of the weekend rotation to start the year,
but he gave you as big as start as you
could have gotten this year.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yeah, Charlie, Charlie man, he's he's one of the best
out here right now. He's just ever since like last
year as a freshman, we knew like he was gonna
be a good pitcher, and then this year coming through,
it was just like, wasn't gonna opportunities in the beginning,
and then once you got it, he should. He proved
to the coaches that he belongs to the Mount on
Sundays and he did a great job today. Good job

For you when you look back at your your aau,
your high school days, have you ever gone into a
day now and you needed to play eighteen innings, win
a couple of games, because frankly, that's what's on the
line tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I mean, yeah, it's just like we got to take
a tap, what pitch at a time tomorrow. I mean,
made the best team win and we're gonna be ready.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
What was a message from coach? You just broke huddle
with him? What did Jim have to say?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
I mean, the most thig was about Charlie, how like
he just overcomes so much adversity throughout the season. How
it's we just got to come out tomorrow and be ready.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
To play too, dead men walk and go get him.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yes, sir, thank you, I appreciate it.
