Speaker 1 (00:00):
See what I how was it out there too? It
was great.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
It was the first day of kind of incorporating the
scout team, so we're gonna look of our first opponents,
so it was great today.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
What are the biggest.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Challenges for you guys on your side of the ball.
I think the biggest thing I don't know if i'll
say a challenge, but different thing that's new for us
is like we have a lot of transfers on the defense,
so trying to mesh together and see how we can
all play together, all from different places, a lot of us.
Some of us came in the summer, some people came
in the winter, but trying to just mesh together and
play as a unit. Coach was saying, it's hard to
tell what you've got on defense until the games actually start.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
But do you feel like in practice you can sort
of tell what the guys next to.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
You are capable of? Yeah, yeah, for sure. I actually
with coach is fame for sure.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
But yeah, it is hard to like really see what
you're all about on defense. I can practice it because
sometimes you're doing thud or tag off, you're not really
tackling to the ground, so you get a different look
than like how a real game would be. So, yeah,
the first game is gonna like prove show a lot
and prove a lot of who we are.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
What about the offense are going up against every day
of practice? What is your The offense is great?
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Man, I think I think they're gonna be super productive,
super explosive this year. We've got some dudes that receiver
at running back, so I think they're gonna be good
in quarterback. With so many new faces on the defense,
how do you get the group jelling like off the field?
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Obviously on the field you're working together, but you guys
do anything outside of here to kind of get to
know one another.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Oh, I feel like for sure, I feel like we
just bond a lot in the locker room, like just
talking to each other toopping it up, like making jokes,
have a fun in the locker room outside of practice
and stuff, and like that's how we're gelling together as
a unit.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
How his Matt Brock met Maybe what you thought during
the recruiting process now that you're actually working with him
every day.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, one thing about coach of Brock is that he
brings it every single day and he's always gonna be honest.
With us and hold us accountable. And the one thing
I noticed about coach Brock. I was telling the coach
is that if he ever, like feels like he made
a mistake or did something wrong, he's the first person
to say, like, that's on me. So I respect him
a lot for that, and but he brings it every
single day, and I figured he would be like that
on the visit, and so.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
He held up to that. That was the women's soccer
game Sunday.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
No, actually I didn't go because that we are still
in fault camp. So we were a meeting. So I
showed up a little. I showed up right after it
got over, but I got to take my fiance home,
so it was good.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Who's your favorite linebacker? My favorite linebacker? I don't know
if I have a favorite linebacker, but I like all
the guys. All the guys are cool. You had to
pick one guy, Who's your favorite guy? I'll say, ed fiance.
Would you have a wedding date? Yes, June thirteenth. I
don't want to mess that up twenty twenty six. Sometime
I keep I keep saying July thirteenth and my fiance
(02:30):
gets mad at me. Son either lock it in.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
What's that like being the guy who's got wedding plans?
Is that you talk about breaking you know, breaking each
other up? Is that something to target for you being
the settled down old man of the bunch.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yeah, it's definitely different. I changed from buyu or that
was more common. More guys that are married and stuff
on the team, So I'm but there's some engaged people
on our team, so I'm not like the only person,
but I'm definitely a different vibe for sure.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
All right, fix right, thank you.
