Well, I didn't run out.

Speaker 5 (00:23):
I try to put it out. I couldn't because it's
a great.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Fire and I'm dumb ass. And so then we had
to run out and call and the kids were so
excited because we got to eat McDonald's.

Speaker 6 (00:34):
An when't you.

Speaker 7 (00:36):
Saying, yeah, you know what I'm gonna Yeah, I mean, listen,

I'll take that.

Speaker 7 (00:42):
So, you guys, you couldn't get the house, You couldn't
get the fire put out, like the fire department had to.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Come in everything.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Did it destroy much of the group house?

Speaker 5 (00:52):
No, just really that little part of the kitchen.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
It kind of was more contained to like the stove
and the wall above the stove.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Okay, well that's good, that's good. But yeah, you know what,
for the first one, I'll take that. Listen.

Speaker 7 (01:05):
I could have asked, I could have asked someone. They said, no,
there was nothing. So I'll take that, Kristen, will you
do me a favor? And maybe the answer is we
won't find anybody who's had to flee a burning house
or a burning a burning home, or or.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
I guess just work or whatever.

Speaker 7 (01:21):
Yeah, I'd like it to be a house or an
apartment or a townhouse.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
But I feel like that's being too picky.

Speaker 6 (01:30):
I mean, the story would top anything I have to
I don't care what the.

Speaker 7 (01:36):
Okay, so we'll take We'll take house, apartment, townhouse.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Are we gonna take work?

Speaker 6 (01:41):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (01:41):
Yeah, okay, all right, all right, let's take work then, So, Kristen,
anybody who has had to flee a burning what do
you want to call that?

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Establishment?

Speaker 6 (01:51):
Structure?

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Structure, house, apartment, townhouse?

Speaker 8 (01:56):
Work?

Speaker 1 (01:59):
I'm not We never even got close that positive. Oh yeah, no,
that's good. That's good.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
Stories may not end well outside of well, if they
got out of the house, that ends well. There's not
like family members outside or pets or the entire.

Speaker 7 (02:17):
Okay, but you still got out. That is the positive.
Human life more important than a sofa.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
Right, But I just there may not be a lot
of ha haas.

Speaker 7 (02:28):
Oh I beg to differ. I beg to differ. Remember,
we set Eddie's jacket on fire in a fraternity thing
and that got away from us.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
We thought that the house was going to go, but
it didn't. It didn't.

Speaker 7 (02:42):
The thank God for ed Prado line too, And what
do you remember about ed Prado?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Older than me?

Speaker 7 (02:50):
But same birthday anyway, Hi Elliott in the morning. Hello, Yeah, Hi,
who's this? Yes, Josie?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Where are you calling me from Richmond, Virginia? Did you
have to flee a burning house or work or something?

Speaker 5 (03:10):
I should have fled, but I was not able to.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
What do you mean?

Speaker 5 (03:15):
I was in a house fire when I was four
and I was really young, and so I could not
get out and actually hid under a coffee table. And
I'm I'm a burn.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Survivor, which is good. Josie's stumped up.

Speaker 7 (03:35):
No, I'm looking for the haha real quick at me?
How did they get you out?

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Man?

Speaker 7 (03:42):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (03:43):
A firefighter? He just he said, when he crossed the threshold,
he just knew there's a little girl that he had
to save. And he had no idea where to go
because there was a cover in smoke. But he went
right to me. The boot kicked me and I was
just a curled up.

Speaker 7 (03:56):
Little black ball did he and he scooped up carried
you out of the house.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Dude.

Speaker 7 (04:03):
That's awesome. Good for you, Good for you. What his
name the I'm assuming that the fire in the house
was bad? Oh?

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Yeah, it was actually my babysitter's house at the time.
But yeah, their house was completely.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Round, right did everybody well, why ask Kelliet? Everybody else
get out? Should have asked?

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Yes, everybody else? My older brother he was fine, as
well as the babysitter and his grandmother.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I got it. The did they so? Were they just
not able to grab you?

Speaker 7 (04:33):
All right?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
They couldn't find me? You know. I was hiding under
a little table and the room was completely covered in smoke. Wow.

Speaker 7 (04:40):
Wow, Wow, that's something all right, very good, very good.
I appreciate it. Thank you, ma'am, Thank you.

Speaker 5 (04:46):
Ellie.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
You got it. Okay, technically she didn't follow the instructions. Yeah,
she didn't flee. No, she didn't flee the house. That's
what you solicited. That's on her. Okay. Do you hear that?

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Josie'll have to call back in for did you ever
hide under a table during a house fire?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Hi?

Speaker 8 (05:05):
Ellieah the morning, Hey, this is Zach from Gamesburg.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Hey, what's going on, dude?

Speaker 8 (05:12):
Not too much. Yeah, my neighbor when I was in
my twenties sent his apartment on fire accidentally and we
had to flee the building.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Did you how'd you get out?

Speaker 8 (05:23):
So I was asleep because I was working nights at
the time, and my dog actually started blinding at the door,
and I was kind of mad because I was like, dude,
it's not time for you to go out. Yet went
to the door and opened the door, and smoke was
about halfway down the wall. So we just grabbed him
by his collar and we just ran out the back door.

Speaker 7 (05:39):
Oh okay, so you were able to get out though.
That's fleeing, by the way, that's fleeing. That's a good one.
That's a good one. Was the was the apartment a mess?

Speaker 8 (05:50):
So my apartment smelled like smoke for probably about a week.
And then my neighbor who ended up passing away, they
had to completely demo his apartment.

Speaker 7 (05:57):
Okay, all right, let's well, sorry, sorry.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Very good.

Speaker 7 (06:07):
I didn't think that, thank you, sir. I didn't think
that part of it through.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Why ever, do you reading a story where everybody got out, well,
not pets? But the so you had heads up.

Speaker 8 (06:21):
Life.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yes, but it was the you know what I want?
You know what I want?

Speaker 7 (06:26):
Has anybody had to jump from a window, well, window,
balcony something like that?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Okay, now you are really I know. Now I raised
the bar. Now I raised the ball.

Speaker 6 (06:38):
These people have a story for life, and you're telling
them it's not good.

Speaker 7 (06:41):
No, no, it is good. Listen everybody that's calling, I'm
glad you got out. That's a listener. Can we find
anybody that jumped?

Speaker 6 (06:52):
I wouldn't be surprised.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
I'm reading about this old gal. She was.

Speaker 7 (06:56):
There was a was it a house fire? Yeah, house
fire over the weekend. She's from Saudi Daisy, Tennessee.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Never even heard of it. She was. She went right
out of the second floor. She broke her pelvis though, Yeah,
she broke her pelvis.

Speaker 6 (07:16):
At she's alive.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yeah, no, exactly exactly. Pets aren't Where am I going?
Line three? Hi Ellie in the morning?

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Hi is this Snae?

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Yeah? Hi?

Speaker 1 (07:28):
How are you.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Good? How are you good? Thank you? I didn't get
your name.

Speaker 9 (07:35):
Christine.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Hi, Christine. You had to flee a fire?

Speaker 10 (07:40):
I did. It's not as we jumped, but it's not
going to be as exciting as.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
You wanted it to be.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
Oh, would you like jump out, like jump over the
front door threshold.

Speaker 9 (07:51):
Now, we did go out of a window. It's about
twelve years old. And my friend's mom didn't.

Speaker 10 (07:56):
Choose, didn't speak a lot of English, and she was
cooking and doing all this and she ended up we
had a little there was a grease.

Speaker 9 (08:04):
Fire in the pan and she threw water on its mistake.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
Yeah, so we.

Speaker 10 (08:11):
All had to jump and climb out of the window.

Speaker 9 (08:14):
Granted it was first floor, but okay.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
It was still in their method of escape. You didn't
say okay, minimum.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Third floor, I know, sorry to make it so like what.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
We had to We had to jump through right out
of the window.

Speaker 7 (08:34):
It was a sliding glass door and we had to
we had there was a step, we had to jump
down the step.

Speaker 9 (08:41):
Wait, so we didn't have to climb up. We had
to climb up and out.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
But it was still the first floor, so no.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
But still that's it was. Why why did you insane, Elliott?
You get away from a fire? Telly? I was going
to ask why didn't you Why couldn't you use a door?

Speaker 9 (09:00):
The way the kitchen was set up, it was kind
of like in the middle, like they had like a
cook top kind of in the middle, and everything just
like went up.

Speaker 6 (09:09):
Sounds like they were trapped.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
That was the only way out. How many, how many?
How many had to go through the window. How many
of you went through the window?

Speaker 9 (09:16):
Me, my friend and her mom.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
It was just the three of us.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Wow? Was that pretty hairy?

Speaker 9 (09:21):
The dogs kind of Huh?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Was that pretty scary? Yeah, of course it was.

Speaker 8 (09:26):
It was.

Speaker 9 (09:26):
I mean, we were young, so we had no idea.
And her, like I said, her mom doesn't speak a lot.
I spoke no English at all, thankfully my girlfriend did.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
But you spoke English. Your English is great now.

Speaker 10 (09:39):
Yeah, I mean I'm sorry, pre coffee.

Speaker 7 (09:43):
Oh you didn't speak whatever language she spoke, Okay.

Speaker 9 (09:47):
I apologized, Yes, I didn't Speakish.

Speaker 10 (09:49):
She did not speak English?

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Did so what was she like? Exito? Exito? Like fuego fuego?
Probably no, you could see fire. You just go out
of our windows.

Speaker 6 (10:03):
You have to break the window or good question, open window.

Speaker 9 (10:08):
I don't even remember, honestly, I think open.

Speaker 8 (10:10):
I guess we were twelve.

Speaker 9 (10:11):
I'm fifty three now. I just remember it was a
big impact as a young child.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Yeah, no, of course it is. I would have chaired
right through that thing.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
You got to throw a chair like you gotta go
dramatic and ricochet and.

Speaker 6 (10:25):
Then knocked belly it out. He's under the coffee table.

Speaker 9 (10:29):
All right, very good, dramatic enough, but.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
No, but everybody was good. That's good, all right, very good, grassios.
I appreciate it. Thank you, ma'am. Thank you. That's a
good one. That's a good one. Good.

Speaker 6 (10:42):
So you're counting they went out a win. You had
a problem with it?

Speaker 7 (10:45):
The floor, yeah, I mean this woman went out the
second floor broke, broke.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
I think if you were at trade, if you were trapped,
that is a fleeing stone.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yes, oh yes, where you can't just walk to the door.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
Yes, man, By the way, I found this story.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Don't you just hang from the balcony and go.

Speaker 6 (11:11):
You think you do whatever?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Yeah? No, probably?

Speaker 7 (11:14):
Yes, had a daisy, had a daisy, DoD satday daisy.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yes, she was pregnant. Yes, yeah, you didn't mention that.

Speaker 7 (11:23):
Well, I mean she was pregnant, okay, yeah, but by
the way, pregnant, Oh yeah she was.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
She was pretty far along.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
And now it does say that you mentioned the broken pelvis,
but there was some smokeing elation. Is she going to
be okay?

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, No, she's good, She's good.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
Okay good. But yeah, that makes the story that much crazier.
And you can see the damage from these photos.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Well yeah, I mean fire tear place up.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
It certainly did. My goodness, that had to be dramatic.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
And that was that wasn't just a first floor window.

Speaker 7 (11:56):
Now you imagine being up on a balcony or on
a or something and you gotta look.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Like second story. You probably feel pretty good about it.

Speaker 6 (12:05):
So it sounds like the first responders were there when
she jumped.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Did they catch her? I don't see that, bed cheat me,
bed sheat me.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
You mentioned that that she broke her pelvis, So if
they caught her, they missed her, tried to catch her.
But was she trying to alert them? I can't jump,
I'm pregnant, Like was there a communication? Well I wasn't there,
but I didn't know how much you read about it.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Oh no, I don't know. I just know she jumped.
I just know she went, uh, she went wait and
then she she did end up breaking her.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
Pelvis because you could certainly see where adding that top
of it she was scared to jump alone, but knowing
that you're I don't know how far along she is.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
She was close, yeah, were you would like.

Speaker 7 (12:51):
I don't think she hit in like ground, but it
was well. I mean that bud, whoa right on out.

Speaker 6 (12:57):
It's like a Jacob Young catch.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
That's a hell of a catch. Wow. You know what
I would want?

Speaker 7 (13:10):
I'd either want them to sheet me where it's like,
all right, jump it, we'll catch you inflatable.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
I want the pad. You don't see that those used
much right now.

Speaker 7 (13:21):
Maybe they don't use it at all, but coming off
and into one of those would be pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
That would be cool. But you gotta be up for that.

Speaker 6 (13:30):
For them to bring something back from decades ago.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, where am I going?

Speaker 6 (13:37):
Hold on, this is gonna take a minute to blow up.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 6 (13:42):
And why are all the firefighters animated? That's a cartoony
thing in my head?

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Hi Elliott in the morning, Good morning, Yeah, Hi, who's this?

Speaker 7 (13:52):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Hi?

Speaker 5 (13:53):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
So I was a teacher at an elementary school and
had a whole portable filled with sixth grader and my
roof was on fire, and yes, this is where we're going.
We all ran out my kid. Literally, we're standing on
the sidewalk going the roof, roof is all fire.

Speaker 7 (14:11):
And then stop the so good, but wait so but
everybody was able to just get out through like the
little uh like the little front door and go down
the couple of steps.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we had I had one kid like
hop jump off the steps, but it was only like
three stairs and then okay, the.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Kitchen window kind of.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
But listen sing it on the sidewalk. The roof is
on fire.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Come on, that's good. No, that's good, that's.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
Pretty dang good. So but then the pooper part. I
didn't even get the day off. The next day they
found us another portable, so we got to come back
to school the next day.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Ducks. That sucks. Very good.

Speaker 5 (14:48):
Fire.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
I will remember my whole life.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Of course, you will. Very good. I appreciate it, thank you, ma'am.

Speaker 6 (14:53):
Yes, Tyler, So she didn't want her kids singing that
from Instagram. Tell Elliott, exodo means six cess in Spanish.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Well you got out success. No, you were.

Speaker 6 (15:07):
Screaming that way. They're gonna think of saying, vomos.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
I don't know Dan speak Spanish.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
What what is it? We've I've seen it on the
overhead side. Oh that's why where te that's dead, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Well, if you don't get out like the vomitos, let's go.

Speaker 5 (15:27):
No.

Speaker 7 (15:27):
What does it say on the exit Salida?

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Salida, yes, Salida.

Speaker 6 (15:35):
Meanwhile, no one's fleeing because Elliot's suggesting that it's all
under control.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Killing it success, Hi, Elliot in the morning. What is
it in? Why why can't I think? Yeah, bear with
me for one second. What is it? Why can't why
can't I read the exit sign in my head? In French?
Salida and sortie sorty, sortie. They're very good, Diane, I'm sorry,

(16:04):
who is this? Ma'am?

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Uh, I'm gonna skip my name. But my uh my
best friend unfortunately passed away. But halfs of the other
people in the house jumped out of what was basically
a third story window because it was a beach house,
and wound up in the hospital in a coma for
a while. But yeah, so you know, woke up this morning,

(16:33):
turned on the radio and.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Got yeah, sorry about that. That's that. Maybe if you
didn't if.

Speaker 7 (16:37):
You didn't miss the if you missed the beginning part
of it, the setup was hysterical. Yeah, that's Okay, it
was funny, the exidoxi.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
Anyway, we'll put you under, Josh.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
But they had to go out a third story window.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Yeah, the it was the duplex, and so the whole thing,
the whole thing was gone.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah, it just went up.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
But you know, rather than save their their daughter and wife,
they launched themselves out of the window and left her there.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
Oh wow, Well that's not good. That's not good. Yeah, yeah,
all right, all right, all right, very good. Hey, I
appreciate the phone call. Thank you, ma'am. Thank you. You know,
I didn't think the ending out well enough there, ending

Speaker 6 (17:30):
With the kids singing the roof is on fire.
