Speaker 1 (00:00):
Do you see it, Diane. It's actually more visible now
after the procedure.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Which they said was very possible.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Oh, it is.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
And also I have a lot of aquafor on it,
so it is kind of I want to say, like
it's not shiny yet. My whole nose kind of looks shiny.
So maybe you're just drawn in looking at my nose.
But the trace aquafor what is aqua?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
It's almost like a bauslena.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Is that that white?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Like like viscusy?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, I've got I have to reply every so often.
So oh, I've seen that. It usually comes in bottles.
It's a travel pack.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Oh, you have to put that back on.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Every few hours. Yeah, for the next five days.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
So what was the procedure? Were you awake?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I remember. It was not a nose job, right, No,
that's true.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Uh So I went to a lot of people asked
and the office was so great. So I will say
it was Chevy Chase Facial Plastic Surgery just down the
street and it this like the staff from the moment
I walked in was so kind because I think they
could sense your nervous. I felt out of place, yeah,

(01:15):
and there was some anxiety there, just being in that
setting and maybe not having an obvious thing to deal
with like it. Maybe they thought I had some other
issues going on as well, so they wanted to hold
my hand through it, right, and they offered me tea

(01:39):
and water. It almost felt like a spot.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Did you take it? I would have?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I did not.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
We phone it out for lunch like let's go. I
did not.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
And there was other stuff too that that I didn't take,
and I later learned I really should have taken advantage
of When I made my way back to the room,
But as a new patient, they were taking photos of me.
I felt like a model. I had to sit in
a room and look at all these different numbers that
were around, so they could get all these angles of

(02:10):
want to go back and sculpt. Well, I mean some
people do go there and get facelifts, yeah, yeah, right,
But for me it was just maybe to see progress
that is or is not happening with my my nose. Listen,
they told me it could take multiple sessions. I was
well aware of that. Some people do sea healing within hours.

(02:33):
Others it turns purple, some its scabs fear so far
my nose does seem to be defeating the laser a
little bit, but I did everything they asked me in
terms of the aftercare.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Wait, will you look at me again? It's all I see.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Now, well here's I still don't see anything.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
But this is key. This is key. So they sit
me down and they explain everything that's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
And you're awake for this.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Oh my god, yes, okay, it's so quick. Uh and
I am though before they walked in the room, I am,
do you have your clothes off?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Why?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
It's my surgery? I didn't have surgery. Oh okay, I'm
watching the video screen that's going through.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Oh did you watch SpongeBob.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
No, it's all of the treatments and procedures they do.
And I was like, oh, micro needling, I could help
with my pores.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I don't even know what that is.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
It's it's like a roller almost, and it's tiny, tiny
little needles and it sort of like rejuvenates the collagen.
Some needles in your face, little teeny you can buy
like the self ones on Amazon.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I never would because.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I've never never do that.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
You can infect yourself. But they did keep flashing up
between all of the advertisement. No, they put up the
message less is more subtle. Tweaks should natural and refined.
The key is a conservative approach. The right treatment plan
in the hands of our expertly trained providers can create
beautiful and natural looking results.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Hear that cruise less is more.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
So they talk to you about what's going to happen,
and then they come into the room with an assistant
and it's Megan, Like I knew it was going to
be the practitioner for the day, and she says this
to me.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
She says, mind the blood on my jacket. Oh, she
may have been doing real work before this.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
No, these these this place was immaculate, like this is
not this isn't you don't You're not going to give
them a bad review because you didn't like the office. Right,
It was nice. It was really nice. And although I
thought they'd validate parking, they did not. She says, Oh,

(04:56):
so I see you have a spot on your nose.
She was more honest with me than maybe the photographer
who asked which side I was. I see that you
have the start of it on the other side. And
I said that's what it looked like for years before
it finally turned red. And she's like, want me to

(05:19):
do that one too, well, so.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
You've got it on both sides. Yes, will you look
at me again?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
So hold on. In the moment, I was like, is
it rude right now to ask if it's twice the price.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
There's nothing rude about that at all?

Speaker 5 (05:34):
Or can you just widen the laser and get them
both with one shot.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Well then then she says, you know what, if you
want it's.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
We could just totally redo the nose.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
No, she said, it's part of the session. We can
do your whole face.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Oh my god, do it.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
No, you don't blast.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
Your face for no reason, so you.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
No, No, I was, I was. I got very nervous
at that point because I didn't know how my face
was to react just to the little spot of my nose,
and for all the jokes he made about Barry Manilowe.
And this was the point where I realized, because now
now I'm nervous because I'm thinking, oh, should I do
the face? Well, how much does that cost? Like all this,

(06:17):
and she says it's included in the session, so at
least they could have for the same price. But then
she mentions that it could affect future hair growth on
my face. She's like, she said, do you like having
the occasional beard or mustache? And yeah, I'm fine with it.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, didn't you tell her? Look at the old picture
of my womb broom.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Let me show you during COVID.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
So it's at this exact moment where I realized I
should have taken a mint from that front desk because
they are right up in your face talking about all
this stuff. And I saw the bowl there and it
was right next to the employee he offered me tea
and water. But that's why that's there, because they are
so upon me, close to you, and she's not wearing

(07:01):
a mask.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
No o, because she ain't got COVID.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
No, no, So I will for my follow up, I.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
Will, Hi, doc, I'm a little nervous, can you tell Yeah,
no kidding.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
So I did pass on the whole face, but I
did say, let's go with the other side now as
they do.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Can I tell you this.

Speaker 5 (07:18):
It's funny you say that because when you look at me,
you can see where that was, and then you could
see this one, and I was like, I don't even
remember seeing that one.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Yeah, so now now you can see all the double No,
you could see the double dot.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yes, so my my other one that wasn't noticeable at
all yet has decided to take on the darker effects
of the laser, which again I signed a way that
I understood all this right and is now much more apparent.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Yeah, like you could see both of them now, yes, yes,
So for how long?

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Well, the aftercare was a five day period and I
wasn't a to sweat and still am not allowed to
sweat for five days. So going to weird Al last
night was rough because I tried because it's warm.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Up, it's hot outside, right, did you wear the five
the five million gallon hat?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
I wore that on Saturday to Lonoak and he.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Said, you wouldn't have stood out necessarily at Weird Now
maybe at LONOK.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
So I, uh, but I but I'm not working out.
I'm not working in the yard. Like I'm not sweating
profusely for at least five days. I've done the the
aquafor I iced it in the car for They said
for ninety day, no, but for ninety minutes. You had
to ice it for like two minute periods. And I said, well,
I'll be driving for the next half hour. And they said,

(08:50):
if you can safe the ice and put aquafar on
then ice and put aqua.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Farn while you're driving.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah, yeah, you can do that. Yeah, and I did.
I did, even though Christen offered to come get me.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
You offered to go get him? Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
But I can't say enough about the staff. No, that's awesome,
and I do and I do know I'm gonna have
to go back in.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Why what do you have to do when you go
back in?

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Get to blast it again?

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Why? Because of how red it is? Now?

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Because everyone's different like some people.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
No, no, but I mean, like, is it going Is
that red color gonna go away?

Speaker 2 (09:24):
I mean, knock on wood, But eventually it's not gonna
I don't.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
I don't think so, not by Friday.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
No, that's not gonna happen by Friday. Uh yeah, So
but you are you gonna.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Be self conscious of it at the dinner theater? Then?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Why do you think I went to the plastic surgeon Friday?

Speaker 1 (09:52):
So wait, but when do you have to go back in?

Speaker 2 (09:54):
They said in a month. Oh, then you're okay for
some reason or another. There's a lot of sign it's
explained to me. But they don't like blast them multiple
times in the office. They just do it once.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
So now then they have to like take off the
tip of the nose again.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Remember my grmatologist offered to cut it out but said
there would definitely be a scar and that I didn't
want to do that. I didn't want to do, so
I'm I'll probably have another phone consultation again to discuss
how the healing's gone. It didn't hurt this week, No,

(10:30):
not at all. The people that said it kind of
felt like a rubber bands snapping on your face.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Oh did you get numbing cream? No? Nothing. They just
turned it on zapter face and that was it.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Now, they massaged my face, nose and like tea zone
a little bit with it was probably an alcoholic mixture.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
You don't know what a t zone is.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
I'm assuming it's like up my nose to my forehead. Okay, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
And then they put the goggles on me. Thank goodness.
They warn you that you can still see the red
even with your eyes closed, because you do sign away
that you realize there could be permanent damage. Yeah, vision issues,
And my eyes are closed and you're still sitting that
bright red light. Obviously it didn't.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
How long How long is the bright bright red light on?

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Thirty seconds? It was so quick because I didn't do
my whole face. Maybe next time I should.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
So you were in and out of there in five minutes.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Well, remember I had my photo session and then I
had my coordinator, Jess so sweet and since she had
the same thing on her nose and I was like,
I don't even see the thing on your nose. And
then talked to Megan the practitioner and all. So the
whole it took probably in an hour. I knew that

(11:47):
I didn't get the six dollars for the parking. It
was ten for the whole day, but it was it
was The office was great. Like if you were considering, are.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
You happy with how it came? Yeah, if you're interested
in plastic.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Surgery, yes, that's going to be your doctor for.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Plastic surgeries. Yeah, I see.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
To see now how like is maybe they'll decide Okay,
maybe that laser that we used is not what we
need for your situation, Like we might have to readjust
in a month, we might just go at it again.
I don't know. I'm not the one who has any
training in this, but as you rightfully and correctly pointed out,

(12:28):
the other side is now visible is fighting for attention.
Look at me right hand side.

Speaker 5 (12:36):
Yes, did it interrupt people at the weird Awl show
last night? Also, how do we not know you were
going to weird Owl? I really didn't want to get
involved with that kid who wanted to meet him, who
I don't believe met him, so I kept my mouth shut.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Did the kid meet him? What do you mean you
have no idea?

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Because it was the board member that was trying to
do it right? Okay, all right?

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Yeah, this was my kid's first ever concert, so we
kind of wanted to keep it as a family thing.
I didn't really want to bring another kid, draw attention
or have to step away. Like at one point my
son got in line for merchandise, It's like, wow, your
first concert T shirt? I want to stand in line
with you. I didn't know you were doing that. And
also how do you have forty dollars? It's you're just

(13:22):
gonna use my money. So it was a lot of
first like it.

Speaker 5 (13:27):
Definitely will they look back and be happy that that
was their first show?

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Did they like the show?

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Absolutely? Enjoyed every moment of it. I think that is
a great first concert demands a legend and the kids,
even if they don't know all the parodies, recognize the
songs are based on, there's custom changes, there's a stage show.
And it was a sold out crowd. So you got
that energy?

Speaker 5 (13:53):
Where was it?

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Wolf Trapp?

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Wolf Trap The one thing they were like, Man, concerts
are great. You could bring all the food you want
and drink. So no, oh, just to send you what venue?

Speaker 3 (14:02):
What does this?

Speaker 1 (14:03):
How?

Speaker 2 (14:03):
We're at it right now?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
So they liked it.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
They didn't remember they've passed up the Rolling Stones, Bruce
Springsteen and Guns N' Roses, well as what could have
been their first.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Guns and Roses was at Hershey and you had to
leave because they wanted to leave the park.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Where were the Where was the Rolling Stones?

Speaker 2 (14:20):
They were playing Soldier Fields when we were in Chicago.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Oh that's right, that's right.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
They passed up on all of those. Yes, no disrespect,
but I would have been that's not what we're doing.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
But it's weird how and it was.

Speaker 5 (14:34):
Oh I got no problem with weird, al, no problem
at all. We just don't know if I would want
that to be.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Their first concert.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
No, that's a good to go back and say, like
my first concert was weird. Ow, I mean, the guy
is an icon.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
What was Marley's first show, Taylor? Was it really? Are
you serious?

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yeah? In twenty thirteen?

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Oh, an old show?

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Yeah no, No, we haven't gone to any recent one.
Yeah no, but we went to a couple of like
twenty team, like twenty fifteen.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
That's good. That's good.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
That's the thing with weird al too. You forget the
guy is sixty five years old.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Oh wow, yeah, no, you're running out of time.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
No, but no, that's not what I mean. But he
but he's still he's moving around quite a bit and
doing the high leg kicks. I don't mean it's gonna
be the same show on Tuesday Night. So I don't
want to spoil much, but it's it is. It is fantastic,
amplified armpit, fark noises. What was your first show New
Kids on the Block? Oh god, they were big at

(15:31):
the time. I didn't see them on like the nineties
mixtape tour.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Yeah, what was yours?

Speaker 4 (15:38):
Was it?

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Really? That may be better than mine?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Warner Theater and it was like we got up to
like the eleventh throw. It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Mine was the Texas Jam?

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Who is that?

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Point blank?

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (15:52):
Sammy Hagar, Jon Jet Santana oh that's right. And uh, Journey,
I say, hey, yeah, Now except for Santana, well who
sucks and Journey, I mean, Journey was massive at the time, but.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
That was a full day. That was a full day thing.

Speaker 5 (16:09):
First individual concert was Kiss at the Houston Coliseum.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
And who does your boys?

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Team food Fighters? Okay, they loved they loved that. They
were right on the side of the stage on the
lone Am I going to line two?

Speaker 6 (16:29):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Elliet the morning Elliott Donna.

Speaker 6 (16:34):
Yeah, I just wanted to let Tyler know that we're
all glad that he's home and safe and well urested,
and that we had a good squad prayer circle going
for him all weekend.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Oh my god, Dona, what was your first show?

Speaker 6 (16:53):
It was Charlie Daniels's band, Riverfront Colise.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Oh, that's good, that's good. That's a good one.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
Were your kids the July fourth show where Dave had
the broken leg? Was that his their first gig?

Speaker 5 (17:06):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Absolutely, yeah, that was it.

Speaker 6 (17:07):
That was the kids. That was I went. I had
a great time at that gig, all the rain. It
was so much fun.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah, that was their place. That was their first one.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Like and like Tyler's kids, they didn't know that you
could bring food, or that there would be catering at
the at the concert exactly.

Speaker 6 (17:22):
Well, you get catering, We don't.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Well, I mean I can't help where I was. All right,
very good, you mean it all right, talk to you later.
Thank you, ma'am. All right, well, very good, and good
luck for the nose.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Yeah, no, I mean it looks fine. I mean you
can see it now much better than I could before.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
I'm telling you that could be the aquafor that's only
on for a two more days.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Oh good, then you're almost done.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Well, you know I'll still have the the sores.
