So? My name is Lisa Farbstein and I work with
the TSA. And last week you had a discussion with
somebody who said that they got through the security checkpoint
without their ID, and so I wanted to explain how
to get through a security checkpoint without an ID the
game for that.

I did? And you know what I'd liked about that
movie the most I think is that I think it
really showed, really depicted all the hard work that the
TSA officers have have, you know, to do, and all
of the grief oftentimes that some passengers do tend to

give them, and how calm they are for the most part,
right when the passenger goes off.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah all right, so you are you are the official
spokesperson for TSA.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I'm one of many. Yeah, dude, that's awesome.

All right, well spokesperson speed.

Okay, So the topic that came up last week was
all about, you know, somebody said they got through the
checkpoint without their ID, and you know that happens, and
it happens because people's wallets get stolen, they lose their ID,
they left it at their cousins, they left their wallet
at the hotel, and so yeah, so what happens is

you really do need to get to the checkpoint really early.
I would recommend two and a half to three hours early.
And when you get up to the travel document checking
podium with the TSA officer, you just tell them I
lost my ID at im ID for whatever reason. Then
you're gonna get pulled aside and they're going to make
a phone call and get you on the phone with

(01:48):
somebody who's going to verify your ID. So they're going
to ask you a ton of personal questions and they've
got a database in front of them, and as long
as you, you know, hit the jackpot and get all
those and is right, then they can verify that you
are who you are and then they'll let you through
the security checkpoint. But it does take a while. It
can take up to thirty minutes on that kind of

a call. I thought, honestly, get there really early.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I thought you were going to say it's longer, like
I thought you were going to say, like it took
longer than half a day? Hey, So can I what
do I call you? Missus Lisa?

Hey, I let me ask you this though, Like, and
I understand that you're telling people that they should get
there early. If that happens, what if I don't realize
I lost my ID until I literally get to the
airport an hour and a half before my flight.

Well, again, they're going to get you on the phone
with somebody and with luck, you'll still be able to
get your flight or maybe even just try to rebook.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I got it.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Is critical. We want to know who's getting on the planes.
We want to know you are who you say you are.
I mean, you just saw the movie Carry On, right, Yeah, exactly.
We need to know that you're good to go. Hey,
you're not the ad of this.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Hey, how did that? How did that person juggler get
by TSA and juggle going from bathroom to bathroom that
flew from New York to h to Charles de Gaull.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
So that right now is with the FBI. So I
can't really comment on an ongoing FBI investigation, or you
know then I could, you know, lose my job. I
don't want you to do that. Hey, I know, I know.
Because holidays are coming up, I need to buy some gifts.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
That a girl. Hey, So Lisa, if I may, can
I two things? Number One, I want to give you
an Elliott the Morning shirt, maybe wear during a press
conference or something. Number two, can we keep your number
on record in case TSA questions come up?

Kristin and I can definitely you know, call in whenever

Excellent, excellent, all right, hold tight one second? Yeah, let

and saying she's one of the spokespeople when it comes
