Speaker 1 (00:00):
We took a red eye home Friday night into Saturday morning,
and then I just stayed up all day so and
then Saturday sleep.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
In and out in it. That is a long ass flight.
It was great.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Like we went and did Seattle and Vancouver, which I
had never been to that part of the world. First
of all, Seattle is gorgeous. Yeah, Seattle is amazing. It was,
and for all the crap that it rains there all
the time, maybe we got lucky. So we did three
days in Seattle, three days in Vancouver, and then like
a day traveling between the two, which is only like

(00:35):
an hour and a half. But anyway, it's gorgeous. It's
all on the water, which if you look at the
map you can tell. But you know what you see
over in the corner the entire time that the big
mountains fourth of July, Well it's not the big mountain,
it's Mount Rainier covered in snow. It's awesome. And you
know what the high gets too. I don't eighty, that's

(00:56):
it nice. So like you get up in the morning
it's in the sixties, and you go to bed at
night and guess what time it gets dark later ten pm?
You know why because you're already on the western side
of the time zone. Seattle is fantastic. I loved everything
about it. I went to you know who gave us
some good spots to go to?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Do we know them?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Danny from kujimis no?

Speaker 1 (01:27):
The oh No. I felt bad. I didn't reach out.
I didn't know because what was I gonna do.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
To say, Hey, I want to go out for a drink.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I didn't want to go out for a drink. Where
am I gonna tell you he's sick? Where am I
gonna take Danny out for a drink? The no, I
didn't even I didn't reach out to him. No, But
you know who was great, the head in the heart.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
You contacted them.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
A long time ago, A long time ago. They were awesome.
We went all over the place. I made it to
the top of the of the uh of the space needle,
which I thought I would never be able to do.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Space needle is freaking amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Do you know what the space needle is built to
with stand a nine.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Point zero earthquake? Move?

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, a nine point zero earthquake and like an F
five tornado. It's beautiful up there, but there's so much
cool crap like we went to the fish Market and
saw the fish getting thrown like that was awesome. We
went to the gum Wall, which is like this little
famous wall in the fish Market. We put gum on
the gum wall. We went to where else? We went

(02:30):
to the what is it? Pop Culture Museum, which is awesome.
It's got all obviously it's all pop culture stuff, but
they've got all these amazing setups for like music and
the grunge scene coming out of there. So like there's
a whole thing for Nirvana in there. There's a whole
thing for Chris Cornell in there. I went to the

(02:51):
Chris Cornell statue. We went to West Seattle. We went
to we saw the trolls in Lincoln Park, Like Seattle, it,
what's wrong?

Speaker 4 (03:00):
What do you mean? The trolls?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
So there's this woman who built trolls. They're all over
the world.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
The funky hair.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
No, they're made out of wood.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
There are these big, massive wood sculptures and they're called
the trolls. I think there's a handful of them in
the US, but there's one hundred and fifty of them
all around the world. Freaking amazing. It was beautiful, beautiful,
so Seattle is great. And we went into like a
whole bunch of like these cool little neighborhoods again without
the head and the heart. Oh, and I went to

(03:28):
You're ready for this, You're ready for Kismett. We went
to a Mariners game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. When we
were there, Yeah, Team Bobile Park beautiful.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
They do a great job.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
That whole area, which is where the Seahawks play at Lumen,
is right next to the baseball stadium. So we're at
the game. Skeens pitch for the Pirates, which was great.
I said they should have pulled them, and they did
hit a home run. As soon as he was done,
I got to see the big dumper in person. Cal Raleigh,
who was at the game that they put on the
jump tron. Celebrities at the game.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
M kiss met So that means you know them? Yes?
Were you able to text them when they flashed them
up on the screen?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I did?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Is there no no charity from the head and the heart.
I didn't even know they were going to be at
the game, and they actually were.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
They just were hanging watching baseball.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
They were promoting that the second half of the tour.
I mean they're from there. Yeah, so the second half
of the tour was starting and that they would be
back playing with uh with Mumford and sons. So it
was awesome, Like that was great. And then we went
to Vancouver. I could live in Vancouver. Really, Vancouver is beautiful.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Say, living on the West Coast and I understand that's
a different country, is not for you.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Oh, I could live in Seattle also, whoa, yeah, I
could live there. I could live there. Now again, maybe
it rains. We got one half day of rain and
that was it. Maybe it rained.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
Insane, Maybe maybe the winter would not be so kind.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
The drive.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
The drivers in Vancouver are horrible, horrible, well and for
a good reason, but the But Vancouver is gorgeous, gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I rode e bikes for the first time.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
We rode all around Stanley Park on the on the
sea wall. Like, Vancouver was fantastic. That is a part
of the cut. It's so far away, but it is
such a beautiful part of the country.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Never been. I could live in Seattle. I could live
in Vancouver. It was awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Now did you get to relax.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, a little bit, a little bit, like you now,
it took a moment to breathe.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, but I'm not going all that way to not
do anything. You know who, you know who was really
helpful for Vancouver.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I'm gonna get this one right, go ahead, the.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Head and the heart.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
No, not at all, not at all.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Jeff Halpern No, because traveling through there so many times
as a player and as a coach, he was fantastic.
So he said, you have to go to this little
craphole bar called the Roxy. So we got We went
to the Roxy. And you know what's great, even though
the drinking age is nineteen in in Vancouver, a fake

(06:15):
I D still gets you in.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
So the so we went with the boys.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
But the Roxy is this old, old it is a
disgusting bar, but it is where every NHL player this
goes all the way back, would go. So you would
get into Vancouver late at night, it would be like ten,
ten thirty, eleven o'clock, you'd throw your bags in the hotel.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
But they're open till three.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
So everybody would go in there and they would always
talk about how like the day after every all the
players had the Roxy flu because they would all just
get s hammered at this bar till three o'clock in
the morning and I can't tell you it is disgusting,
but the roxy was great. The yeah, and that we
just we ran all over the place. I was hoping
to run into you know who was you know who.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Was their training I'm not going to guess the ban
for this one though.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Connor Bodard and Maclin Celebrini were training together there, so
we kept hoping we would run into them. We didn't
well known he's from there, so yeah, it was very
well known that bubble Bedsy was back, was back in Vancouver.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
It was I'm telling you, it was great.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
And then maybe the greatest part of the entire vacation
happened because.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
I got to do something I've always wanted to do
in my life.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
We went whale watching.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Oh, Diane, there was a humpback whale that was less
than fifty feet from us. It is spectacular. I thought
I was gonna cry. It was beautiful, beautiful. So we're
out on a boat. I think when you go thirty
there's no way we were thirty miles.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Out twenty five.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Anyway, you go out on this boat and they tell
you we're looking for whales and whatever, and then all
of a sudden, the boat gets quiet. They had spotted
the whale up in the future, up in the future,
up ahead of us.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
Now that it could have been closer to this time,
I could have been east.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
But anyway, you hear them blow their blowhole, it sounds
like they're in the boat with you. It is so loud.
But that just tells you how big these things are.
So they know which whale it is. It's not tagged,
but they just know from signing it. It's this whale
called Smoke. He's sixty feet long. And you would just
see him come up. He never like jumped up and breached. Yeah,

(08:25):
but you would see him like come up and then
dive back down and you'd see that big f and tail.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Go right back down into the water. Whale watch. We
have to do it. We have to go whale Wamember.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
We tried to, but we were out of season when
we went to Portland.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
We were late.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yeah, exactly, I'm telling you. It was worth it. It
was so where and it took for it and it
was driving rain. That was the day we got rained
in the morning. But it was to see those things
in person was majestic. It was Diane, I'm telling you.
It's everything I wanted it to be. What a great
it may have been minus show trip's best vacation ever.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Wow, it's up there, it's up.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
There, oary is.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
We were on a bowl, bro. We were full.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Seriously, Yeah, we were full, and we ate like crazy,
but not like out of control like the going back
to the head in the heart. They gave us a
bunch of like little like hole in the wall restaurants.
Oh it's so good. The only thing I don't like
I don't like their oysters. You are more a fan
East Coast East, so the no, no, it has to
be cold up Northeast, Hold up Northeast.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
I did eat something I'd never eaten before. Gooey duck.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Oh yeah, those are hilarious videos.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Yeah, the it's the penis of the watery. Yeah they
look like great big dongs. Missed out on that, but yeah,
it was good. It was It was great. But then
we didn't We had a red eye red eye home.
I don't know why there's not more flights from Vancouver
to d C.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Oh so yeah, you just went straight from there. You
didn't go back to Seattle?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
No, No, why am I going to go back to Seattle?
I was already there.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
I don't know, maybe stop in say hi to Danny the.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Uh no, I feel now you made me feel bad
like I should have, like I should have and everybody else,
everybody was good.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
During the week. Jersey Shore was great.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, I loved it, and it was relaxing.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
Just got our rental and hung out and saw some
family and enjoyed ourselves that way.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
I had no relaxation, no relaxation at all. But it
was But it's everything you wanted to be. It was great,
and you know what was good when I got back.
So we got back. We took the Red Eye, stayed
up all day, went and play old man hockey, slept
in till eleven, full of pisson vinegar and ready to go.
But I do need Kristin for a moment. Kristin and

(10:40):
Mike had a little couple get away. Where did you
guys go, kN kun How quickly did you come back a.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
Day before we originally were planned?

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Yeah, Diane said, Kristin came back early. What happened.

Speaker 6 (10:54):
It was a mixture of things, but we got uh,
we got sick.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
How bad it had to be bad if you came back.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
It was all day and I thought we were going
to have a bridesmaid's situation. You've seen the movie, right, yes, yes, yes,
they eat food right. Well, we think it was the
like maybe a batch of bad ice.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Right.

Speaker 6 (11:23):
So anyway, at one point Mike and I were like
going back and forth in between the bathroom and I'm like,
oh my gosh, squeeze the tush. I was doing like
a little dance because I'm like, oh my gosh, please hurry, hurry.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
And I didn't know if I should have a lobby.

Speaker 6 (11:40):
No, it's far away, and I'm like, should I just
run out to the waters.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Well, well, but it was so bad you had to
come home early.

Speaker 6 (11:51):
We also realized we stayed in the first time ever
all inclusive resort. It's not for us. We're very adventurous.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
We want to like, dude, you should have come to Seattle.
Maybe we didn't get diarrhea at all. Nobody in the
house got diarrhea. I did make a lot, but the
I went at the space needle, I went, you know,
they got a they.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Got a restaurant in there.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
I don't know if I knew that.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
I had no idea. So there's the top part, that's
the observation deck. Where it's kind of open, but it's
the observation deck underneath there's like a whole bar and
restaurant in there. I did not partake. I couldn't go
to the ledge of the observation deck. I had to
hug the wall. But I was so happy anyway, I'm sorry.
So it's not for you.

Speaker 6 (12:31):
No, we can now say we've done it all inclusive
and it's just not for us.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
How's your bowel today?

Speaker 6 (12:38):
I'm pretty good. Yesterday was e but I can finally
say I can poop.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Well, it sounds like that wasn't there. You go so
a normal.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
School, and I've never taken Is it amodium emodium?

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Yeahmodium ad for anti diarrheal.

Speaker 6 (12:55):
Well, one pill didn't work, two pills didn't work. I
had a pop and on it.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Just kept flowing.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
I'm like, I thought this was supposed to work.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
So you think it was from bad ice?

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Yes, Because then we met some other people down there
and they flew back sat. What days today, Monday? They
flew back Saturday, and they each they think they had
a bad batch of ice, either in the airport or
at the resorts.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
So they got the diarrheal. Also, oh, that's horrible. That's horrible. Yeah. Yeah,
Oh well, I'm sorry that you had to come back early.
That kind of that kind of stinks. But the rest
of it was good. Oh yeah, yeah, no, that's good.
That's good.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Yes, and where you upset that Elliott had already sent
a photo to the group of somebody dumping.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Wait what picture was that? What picture? Did I say,
your emergency telephone?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Oh that was you?

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yeah, yeah, there was the phone in the bathroom.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yeah, that was it.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
You on speed and I think you were You were
still well at that point, weren't you.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, yeah, no, no, I sent only classy photos.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I didn't send anything bad.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
You're right.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
So it was Elliott with the photo dump and Kristen
just with the dump.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Anyway.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
But it's so good to be back. Oh my god,
I got so itchy towards the end of the week.
