Speaker 1 (00:00):
You mentioned Sam's cruise.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (00:02):
Oh. Yeah, by the way, he was telling me the well,
I told you he prepaid for another one.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
And that that's gonna be sometime next year.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
I'll but he knows, well whenever, Yeah, I mean it's
for whenever you want to do it.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
There's no expiration on it.
Speaker 4 (00:17):
I asked him the same thing, and he made it
seem like no, he did say, and this is where,
this is where he wants us involved. He went by himself,
right yeah, and he was like, eh.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Like he loved it, he loved the cruise.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
But I don't think he wants to go solo again,
like if they have a solo.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Lounge, but he didn't. He wasn't fond of the solo lounge.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
He told us that. But did he meet anybody that
he's going to stay in touch.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
With, Like he met a couple of people on the
boat that he talked to.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
I don't. I don't mean like travel to see them,
but just occasionally send a note over to I doubt it, Oh,
I doubt it.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
I mean they were they were fine company on the boat,
but probably not. Probably not if I had to, If
I had to guess, I would say probably not.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
So he said two things number one. Number one.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Like he again he loved it.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
He'll tell you everything that was wrong, but he no, no,
that's just Sam. But the but he loved it. But
he just doesn't want to go by himself again. Yeah,
and he said, the bigger the group, he's like, you'll
see people that are doing like like big family vacations.
He's like, the bigger the group, the better he gets it. So,
(01:36):
like like the like the Wilson family reunion groups he
gets it.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Is that because you don't have to then rely on
others to enhance the experience for you.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I don't know if it's that.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
He just said, the bigger the group, the happier those
people looked.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
So it's just to the nth degree.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Yeah, and that's why he was like, we need to
do some kind of show cruse. I'm telling he wants
to I'm telling you that's all he wants to show cruise.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yes, I thought you said maybe your your family would go.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Oh yeah, but I talked to him about dates that
would work.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
It's not gonna work next year.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Oh Christmas and the fourth of July.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yeah, that's not gonna work next year so that's why
he's saying we should do a show.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Carew because he wants to build it in where he.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Wants he wants to go on two or three cruises
a year.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, No, I'm telling you. He loved it.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
And this was his first ever, first ever, and he
never did a river cruise either.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
He had never done He had never been on a
cruise ship.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I know, but river cruises and cruises out and the
Caribbean are a lot different.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
No, no, he had never been on. He didn't like
a river crew.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Did Was it Bermuda, that's the Caribbean? No?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yes, No, Bermuda is not in the Caribbean.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
I thought it was considered the Caribbean.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
I'm pulling up a map here.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
Yeah, I mean it's a little farther north than sy
Puerto Rico. But doesn't it isn't Bermuda. Doesn't it get
classified as a Caribbean island?
Speaker 2 (03:14):
It does.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
They're all not adjoined, they're not they're not the hencils.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yeah, I don't think so, Yes, get a ruling.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Is Bermuda the map's not enough? Okay, but yes it is.
It's not clumped as closely to the other Caribbean islands.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Listen, we've been to Jamaica together, right, Yeah, that's the Caribbean.
Do you see Jamaica on that map?
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Now you gotta zoom out more like you gotta go
south are Cuba? No, but like, where's where's the Bahamas?
Where's the Bahamas? Right here off of it's getting closer. Yeah,
you realize what the red dot I put on the
map was.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
That's Bermuda. Yes, the Caribbean island.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Listen, just say island.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
No, Virginia and California are all part of the United States.
Speaker 5 (04:13):
They say the Bahamas is considered Caribbean, the wider Caribbean.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah, the Bahamas.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
He's arguing Bermuda is not Bermuda's too high up.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Well, are you saying what what? What? What are you
sighting that said Bermuda's too high up.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Because on the on the map, on the map, it's right,
it's basically right from North Carolina.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Well, I can see that, but but that doesn't mean
it's not a Caribbean island.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Two minutes ago. I always thought it was.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Too But are you reading something that definitively says.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
It's not saying no where.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
The internet can every cartographer it is not. It is
not geographically in the Caribbean. It's in the North Atlantic
North Atlantic. It is located in the North Atlantic, which
is anago significant distance from the Caribean South Atlantic.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
Are we done with this part of the story. I'd
like to hear the other thing, Sam, Sam the oh.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
He wants us to go.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
He wants us to do like a show cruise, which
I would be all into. And it's the only way
I'll get you guys on a cruise ship.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Because they have to go.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
No, no, no. But that's where that's where Sam said, you
guys don't get it.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
You guys don't get angry with us.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Yes, he said that it is like Jackie, Like Jackie
won't go on a cruise ship because she's she's afraid
if she can't see land.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
That's it.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
It's not like it's not like, oh it's gonna be
the poop cruise or I'm gonna get dysentery or whatever.
It's just she she's weird about not being able to
see land. So Sam's like, I get why she doesn't
want to go, but just to say, like, oh, I
don't go to I'm not a cruise person.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
You have no idea so I hear so he wants
us to do. I'll tell you this. So yesterday there
was a story.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Yesterday there was a story about a cruise ship that
had to return to port because of a fight that
broke out on the cruise ship.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
How many people in the fight?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Did someone get it? Really hurt?
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Two people?
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Two people?
Speaker 3 (06:19):
And they and they returned to port because they took.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
An entire cruise ship of thousands of people back to
the port because two people were in a fight. Now,
was it really bad?
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Maybe? I guess so, Like I don't did anybody get ever?
Speaker 3 (06:37):
People get shot?
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas?
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Was it?
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Wonder the Sea's the biggest one. That's got to be
five six thousand people.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Like the one that just yese Yes, the names are
so similar.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Look at the sod No Icon of the Sea that one.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
We've talked about. But I don't know if Wonder of
the Seas is that brand brand new one anyway.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas cruise ship returns to
Port Miami after fight with injuries.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
But they didn't say two Royal.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Caribbean passengers injured in altercation on board taken to hospital.
Our team provided medical care to adult guests who were
involved in an altercation, and the guests were being treated
for their injuries.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
So it does its sake. Did they stab each other?
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Please tell me they did. That's the only reason to explain.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
This, because if not, wouldn't it just be like I'm like,
and here's where I'll give the cruise ship credit.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
You know what Sam told me. It's Sam.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Keep in mind, Sam loved his experience. There was a
medical emergency that required like some serious assistant. Sam had
no idea there was a fight on the cruise ship.
Sam had no idea there was a death on the
cruise ship. I'm not kidding, right, And Sam had no idea.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
But how is he telling you this?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Then? Oh, he was talking to somebody who knew like
crew No, no, I think there are I think Sam
said like, like, there was a couple that he was
talking to. This may be their thirtieth cruise, give or
take who. So they're on all these crews like message
boards and stuff. Yeah, so I don't know if there's
like a Reddit or something for cruising, but they knew
(08:22):
that there had been a death of fight in a
medical emergency.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Sam's like, you have no idea. He said.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
The only time the crew sucked is when they on
Saturday morning they want you off that boat, like, let's go. No,
Sam said, did I not tell you guys this now?
Sam said that for six days all they do is
they tell you how great it is and how everything
is awesome. And Sam said, listen, I messed up. I
should have gotten the Vibes package. I should have gotten
(08:52):
maybe a SPA package.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
I was like, what SPA service are you getting?
Speaker 4 (08:55):
He's like, dude, they had cold Plunge, Hot plunge, See plunge,
Ocean plunge, had all these plunges. They said, they had
three different steam rooms. It seems like Steve. Sam was like,
I haven't been in a steam room in in twenty years.
But I was like, why wouldn't I.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
We were supposed to gift him one of those packages.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, I know. Wait, what was I saying?
Speaker 2 (09:16):
The thing that sucked?
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (09:17):
So for six days, it's anything you want, Like you
got the world by the short and curlies. You wake
up Saturday morning, vacuums are running.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Get out it is.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
And Sam said, like, there's a there's a track on
one of the decks that goes all the way around
and so people use it for like getting their steps
in or for running or something.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
Those doors are locked.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
There's an observation deck where like Sam would like to
go read locked the pelotons and the like the gym
locked in every five minutes. Just want to thank everybody again,
don't forget have your bags set.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Up and so next time.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
And Sam's like, I don't have bags.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
I got a roll on bad And they want everybody
off the boat by ten and he's like, I'll get
off at nine forty five. At six, they're screaming at
you priority because a lot of people bring like thirty
five thousand suitcases because the Walton family had their reunion,
so they've got a million of them. Sam's like, I
got a backpack, so I'm not getting off, and Chio
(10:19):
is screaming into the microphone.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
To get off the goddamn boat.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
And he's like, no matter where you look, it's vacuums
and messages.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
That's all it is.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
On Saturday, the person who passed away.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Oh, I don't know anything about them.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Oh so we don't even know if it was an
older passenger.
Speaker 6 (10:39):
No, I have no idea because didn't he tell you
did reveal this that there were a shocking number of
rascals and mobility scooters.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
The mobility Yes, the Rascal and Mobility Scooter Brigade.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
It looks like it. It looks like a street takeover
bitstral that's charging. Yeah, and the only thing that.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
There's more of than that are those diabetes patches on
the backs of people's arms.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
But they're taking care of themselves.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Remember most people don't know they have diabetes.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
Right, Yeah, they're trying to go walk around, but it's
Saturday morning.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
And Cheo said, no way.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
So he wants us to go to like go on
a cruise. I told Aaron Market well not division President.
Aaron Highland like, let's let's put one together like that.
Sam was like, well, you know how like three to
eleven has their own cruise. I was like, Sam, we
are not filling a cruise. Chep like, can we get
five rooms on? Like not for us, but just give
(11:41):
away some trip. We'll treat it like Vegas.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Jay says for workers that turnover day is the worst
and longest day.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Well, when Sam first got on, his room wasn't ready.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
So what did he do?
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Just wheel his bag around the duck beck Yes, pretty yeah,
I mean wine, got something to eat.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
But yeah, when he first got on his room was
not ready.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Did they give him some sort of credit? Yeah, say again.
Did they have free drinkers or voucher for something?
Speaker 1 (12:10):
No, ice cream's free. Now you get cheer. You get
what you paid for.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
So you're aware. They tell you ahead of time that
you might not be able to get into your room.
It's like a hotel.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
He walked in, he was like, I'm in room bottom
of the boat eighteen.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
And they were like, oh, sorry, sir, your room's not ready.
Should be ready in a couple hours.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
And he was like okay, And he just walked around
wheel in a suitcase, avoiding all the people on the
mobility scooters.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
So what is the actual time between embarking and disembarking.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
I believe you. I believe it is.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
Everybody's got to be off the boat by ten okay,
and keep mine. Cheo's got you leave in by six
thirty seven o'clock.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
No one remembers why you're calling him that. And also
I think you told me off the air. Did he
stay on the air why they were calling him Cheo?
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Because he looks like Cheo the Hitman, but a better reader.
The and so the but and I think four pm.
I think they have six hours, but they could start
like if people leave their rooms, they could start earlier.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
And remember.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Observation deck cornered off like everything like you can eat
an egg and get out, but everything else is shut down.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
What are you looking at?
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Oh no, I just saw you pulled up a picture.
Where am I going?
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Line three?
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Hi? Ellieah the marting?
Speaker 7 (13:38):
Hey elle, what's up?
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Imagine?
Speaker 7 (13:39):
Want to add real quick the reason why they want
you off the ship so quickly, it is because they
got about four hours. The crew has four hours to
clean that ship up to get it ready for the
next people that's gonna come aboard, and they're gonna sail
right back out.
Speaker 1 (13:52):
Yeah no, And that's why everybody gets sick.
Speaker 7 (13:56):
And the crew they're on there for almost like they're
on the The crew is on the ship for like
six months at that time, you know what I mean.
So you can understand they run them ragged, but they
do an awesome job. I'm Royal, I'm loyal to Royal,
so that's what I do. I'm a Royal Caribbean guy.
Speaker 4 (14:11):
Hey, well, so you would know what happened on this
wonder if the seas cruise where How bad was that
fight that they had to go back to the dock.
Speaker 7 (14:20):
I didn't, I honestly didn't hear anything about that. I
just know that I me and my wife.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
And weak cruise.
Speaker 7 (14:24):
We do Royal Caribbean and that's it.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
We don't do carnivals.
Speaker 7 (14:26):
Too much riff raft going on on them ships, so
we stayed at Royal.
Speaker 8 (14:30):
We stick with the old people.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
It was Royal old.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Sam was on Norwegian. Sam was on Norwegian. A lot
of mobility scooters.
Speaker 7 (14:40):
Yeah, Royal Caribbean is more like papering, you know, older crowd.
You know, I'm in my forties, so I like to
be hanging out with the older people, like can't you.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
You won't catch me in a.
Speaker 7 (14:48):
Club going on like being old, you know, carnival or
anything negative.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Catch Sam four different hot tubs. He loved the hot tub.
All right, very good, you got.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
It was you've kind of poked fun at it. But
it was the illness factor ever a problem for him
as he was navigating his way through the ship.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Shopkay, that's a two part question.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
We know that it's very well established Sam is a hypochondriac, right,
so he thought about it regularly.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Every time he sat down.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
He was convinced he was going to have explosive diarrhea.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Because of the No, just he wasurovirus.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
He was concerned that if he had to go to
the bathroom, he was concerned he was going.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
To have neurovirus.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
Okay, so it wasn't because the food was no, oh.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
No, he loved the food. He loved the food.
Speaker 2 (15:45):
That's a good because remember he only had access to
a restaurant once and he went the other times he
had to go to the main dining hall.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Right, and he even says he didn't need enough hamburgers.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Because he never he never upgraded on the ship.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
No, no, no, no, it was all search for him.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
But yeah, what did he like?
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I know we talked at length about the discount he
got on the bathing suit, Yes, but like what how
dressed up do you have to get for?
Speaker 1 (16:15):
You know what he wore?
Speaker 2 (16:16):
He wore a lot of did.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
He have to he didn't have to wear like a jacket?
Did he to dinner a jacket? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Like a sport coat or hell is other than that one?
Speaker 4 (16:27):
I can't remember what cruise line that was where it
was like formal wear.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
I mean I think it is.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
You think the Walden family vacation is wearing a suit.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
I didn't know if that if that trend had changed.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Sam either wore a T shirt or like like one
of those like like a.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Like a golf shirt or something.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Yeah, like a like they with someone like that like
Rowback would sell or Robock.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
I don't know how you pronounce it, rob Smoothie place
or rebok.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
The they have all like the like, the the the No,
when you.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Pull up robock, don't they do like dex and patios?
Speaker 5 (17:03):
No?
Speaker 1 (17:03):
What am I thinking of.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Home escapes?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
The look up roboch.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
I don't know the company. R h O B A
c A first Amy right.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Robock.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Yeah, it did actually fill an Amy. There we go, Yeah,
and that's her.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
No.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
R h oh, I'm fixing it. R h oh, Robock.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
You mean Rowback however you say it.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
Okay, it's like it's like the the golf shirts that
have like the little tiny like college logos on them.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Yes, okay, by the way, okay, do.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
You know how a big robock is now?
Speaker 5 (17:37):
Yes, I mean I've I didn't know that was the
brand name. I've seen those shirts everywhere.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Started by two guys out of Charlottesville.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Oh, Uva guys.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
I don't know if they're Uva guys, but I know
there are two guys out of Charlottesville.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
But it's there's stuff is everywhere. I've never seen it
or stuff is awesome.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
What's the logo a dog? It looks like an R.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Yeah, yeah, I'm not familiar with this.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
They have they Yeah, no, they have all kinds of stuff,
like they do have a huge.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
College line, right, that's the whole game day thing.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
But that's not how it started. I think it started
as golf wear.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
They do have a lot of golf on their website and.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Tennis, but yeah, no, they have all but like shirts
like that, shirts like that, I'll teck a rally house.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
They have a I know that cutter and book.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
They have a whole page of Georgetown stuff.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Yeah no, I'm telling you, all right, all right, so
he'd wear that even to that fancier dinner.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Yeah, you know what I'm telling you. It's a cruise.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
Half the people are on half the well everybody's on
diabetes medication.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
The other half is on a is on scooters.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
Can you passion the anselin?
Speaker 4 (18:45):
No, I told you and no, he said, you know,
the one thing you never have to do on a
cruise touch a door.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Because everything's like motion sensor or yeah, because a.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Lot of times it's the scooter that's going, or it's.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
Like they can't they can't let go of a crutch
to pull the door, or they're just so goddamn old.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
He did say out of control kids weren't an issue?
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Is that because it was a little old?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Yeah, I think it was.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
Well also, I think it was after school had started.
Oh yeah, good point.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
I think it was after school had started, which is
when we'll do our show.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Cruise, Kristin, you can ask the follow up was new
clothes part of the onboard expense?
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Wait? Stay again?
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Kristen writes that Maggie's husband gained twelve pounds on a
four day cruise.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
No way, your husband gained four pounds. You know what though,
I would wait four pounds on a twelve day cruise.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Oh, twelve pounds on a four day crew.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Twelve out of four? Did he never go to the bathroom?
Speaker 4 (19:49):
I mean that's just storing it, by the way, I mean,
that's not impressive. I put on twelve pounds eating the
barbecue on a four hour show.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
It's not a four hour show.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
But yeah, I believe that Sam was shocked. He didn't
put on weight.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Oh he didn't at all.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Didn't put on weight.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
So was he, like you said, steps in and he did.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
He also ate three to five hot fudge Sundays a day.
I was like, Sam, and you're making fun of the people.
He's like, hey, I'm one of them.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
Did he get in?
Speaker 1 (20:25):
He was gonna draw one on his arm just so
he fit in.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Line?
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Or Hi Elliott in the morning? Elliott, Yeah, Hi, who's this?
Speaker 4 (20:37):
Hey?
Speaker 8 (20:37):
This is Todd. How are you good?
Speaker 1 (20:38):
What's going on? Dude?
Speaker 8 (20:40):
So my wife and I were the ones that took
the Mediterranean cruise earlier this year pictures right, So yeah,
you were talking about, Oh what was your big question?
Speaker 2 (20:52):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (20:53):
Yeah, your rooms are never ready when you get on
the cruise.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Is that true with everybody? The room is never ready.
Speaker 8 (20:59):
The room is never ready. So you go on and
you go to restaurants and you go around, but you
drop your luggage off below the ship, see now, and
they bring your luggage to your room.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Oh is it really?
Speaker 4 (21:10):
I thought Sam said, he just wheeled his on with him.
Speaker 8 (21:14):
There are a few people that do that, but most
people just drop it off and they bring it to
your room later that night.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Hey, can I ask you Sam wheeled?
Speaker 4 (21:20):
I know that, but but Sam said, that's why everybody's
drunk the second they get on the boat. That makes
sense because nobody can go to their room exactly.
Speaker 8 (21:30):
Everybody that the Yeah, the liquor and the bar and
the food.
Speaker 1 (21:34):
Hey, where are you on pre tip?
Speaker 8 (21:38):
Definitely?
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Yeah, Sam said he did that also where you can
either like tip up front and they say it gets
shared with everybody on the boat. So I think, like
the I don't know if it was the lowest or
second lowest, but like the lowest pre tip total was
like two hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
So Sam was like, I did it. But when you
do it, they're like they it just what.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Do they give you? Like a pin?
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Like I already tipped?
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Seriously, Like how do you it's it's all tracked on
your card, it's all tracked.
Speaker 8 (22:07):
On your car, it's all pre calculated. And then that's
what we usually give the room steward a little extra.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
I mean no, because I even said to Sam, do
they make you feel bad.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
And Sam was like, they.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Tell you, or maybe they told me that you can
tip on top of the prepaid tip.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
And Sam was like, I already tips.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
And I don't know how many crew work on the
boat for for the seven days that Sam was on it,
but I hope it was worth his two hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Seriously, what's the breakdown? What's the average crew side?
Speaker 1 (22:47):
There's got to be six hundred people. Really, it's got
to be. It's got to be five six hundred people
on the crew.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
I'm gonna look it up for you. I know, we
don't know exactly the boat he took. They're saying that
the smaller ships have nine hundred and the larger of
their vessels have eighteen hundred crew members.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Okay, so let's say this is the smallest ship at
nine hundred crew.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Yes, Well, he tipped two hundred dollars and he was
on for how many days?
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Just seven?
Speaker 2 (23:20):
So each person got twenty two cents. Thank you for
a full week.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
By the way, but I tell Sam, we did the breakdown.
It'll be the happiest you've ever heard anybody.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Line three, Hi Elliot in the morning, Hey Elliott, I
had called a couple of weeks ago and said we
were going on our first Disney cruise and we got
back and you're exactly right.
Speaker 8 (23:55):
They made us take our luggage to breakfast.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
Right becaueah, because they are barking at you at like
six in the morning, like you need to get off
the boat and everything's locked up, right.
Speaker 8 (24:07):
Yes, they want you out there. They had vacuums running,
they were they were ready for you to be gone.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
How how how often were the announcements coming?
Speaker 8 (24:17):
Oh, it's perpetual, and and it did be when you
wish upon a star for the for the bonds, like
when boom boom boom boom boom boom, and then they.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Thank you, go to breakfast, take you bed, and it
did ahead.
Speaker 8 (24:34):
I'm a diabetic, so I'm feeling super triggered when I'm
listening to you guys. Yeah, diabetic.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Hey, I know you weren't alone on that You were
not alone on that boat. Hey what color port you guys,
that's what roboch got to do, have different logos on
the ports. All right, very good, very good, thank you sir.
All right, so do we agree we're doing the show?
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Tripp? It costs us two hundreds.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
He don't even want to divide it by seven to
see the show that they're getting daily. Oh my god,
And you said that was not even the lowest option.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
No, he treated it like ordering wine at a restaurant.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
When you told us the strategy, that's what I thought
of cheapest.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
I don't want to look cheap.
