Speaker 1 (00:00):
By the way, I have helloes for everybody Locker actually
from a bunch of people, it was that was fun.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Last night golf tournament. It's not my golf tournament.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
No, but Craig Lachlan from Joe Bian Locker who obviously
called the Caps Games. It's his fifth year of hosting
this charity golf tournament. Now, I wasn't out there obviously
for the golf tournament that went on all day?

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Do you not long get took them to play a
round of golf?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
So when did they start?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I don't know what time everything got underway, Like.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
How long was the turn? Did they take some time
to have some food and beverage.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
It seemed like a lot of people drank.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
It seemed like there were a lot of people that
that may have had some cocktails at one point.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yeah, I mean, what do I care.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
At one point, Tarik elba Sheer, I was in the
bathroom and Tark walked in to use the pisser and
at one point, what, I'm sorry the head And at
one point he was like and he was going and
so I was talking to him and so he was, uh,
the no. I don't think he remembers, but at one point,

(01:05):
he's like, man, I've had a lot of orange crushes.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
It took him six and a half hours to play
around of golf. Okay, the it seemed like it took
a while.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
How long were they searching for balls?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
That I have no idea.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
You realize, even though you're not a golfer, that's an
insane day.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
That seems like a long time for only eighteen right.
Uh yeah, okay.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
They didn't try to do like thirty six No.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
No, no, it was just one round. Yeah, just one
round of golf.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
That's long.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
The yeah, so they went on.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
But it does it does seem like there were drinks
to be had during the course of the golfing and
then after they finished up the round.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
That's when I got there.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I got there during like midway through they had like
a like happy hour before dinner, and then dinner was
dinner and the live auction. First of all, like there
were there were some people that were there like just
like golfing part and then left but like for the
like like Spencer Carberry coach was there, and Muller was there,

(02:04):
like the coaching staff.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
I think they left to let everybody have fun.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
But then there were a budget like Devonte Smith, Pelly
was there, I saw Olie Colzigg, I saw Peter Bondra,
I saw brooks or pick the It was great.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Brent Johnson. Brent was great.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I almost had Brent take his pants off the No,
it was good, it was good.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
It was fine, meaning that was it was good.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
We're raising money, Diane. We're raising money through the charity
for the charity.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
By the way, how exactly like I'm failing to connect
the dots there. How does that raise money?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
So one of the things that people were bidding on
in the live auction was listen, I know nothing about golf,
but one of it was to go golfing with Brent Johnson.
I can't remember if it was that Congressional or what
is the RTJ what is that Robert Trent Jones or something,
which apparently are both very nice golf courses. I've been
to neither, but the one of them was you went

(02:58):
with Brent Johnson to play at the at the golf
course and some of the people started going and one
of them was like, oh, my wife is really attracted
to Brent. So Brent hopped up on a chair that
I tried to get him to take his pants off
just to help raise money. But people will spend money
to go play golf. Jesus Christ, will they spend money?
They raise so much money? Yeah, say again it's charitable.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Well I understand that, but you still have to pay
money for it.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Yeah, but you always pay more when you know it's
going towards a good cause.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
That is true. That is true.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
So were you the auctioneer?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
Myself and Joe B?

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Oh that's fun.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, Oh it was great. Joe B's awesome.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
I thought you were just like MC ing the no no.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
So like I did like a welcome thing.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
And then and then there was like some people who
spoke it was really really nice, like it was really
really nice. And then yeah, Joe B and I did
the did the live auction. There were a couple of
really cool and then I'll tell you what I almost
bid on, but I don't.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I don't think. First of all, I'm starving. I didn't
need any of the food.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
It would have looked bad if you're trying.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
To sorry job, if you're listening reach over.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
In the post that he was eating, but it would
have looked strange if you're like reaching over guests shoulders,
trying to grab something place.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
It would have been horrible.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Do it on your own show, don't do it on
someone else's day.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
No, and like and like these these these items are
going for thousands and thousands and tens of thousands of dollars,
and so I'm like, I can't be shoving like pasta,
and like they had a carving station. Like at one point,
like like Locker's entire family was there and they're very
very nice people.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Like at one point I just wanted to sit down
with them and eat.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
I was gonna sit next to uh Olie and eat,
but then Brent sat next dand like there was nowhere
to sit down to eat. But then I can, in
the middle of everything just start eating. So I hadn't
eaten since we were in the studio yesterday morning.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Like I went down, I went for my morning sit down.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Nothing came out, Like there's nothing, there's nothing in my
body dyeing.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
You didn't need to know that. What did you almost
been on?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Oh? So well, let me tell you.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
So they had They had a couple of really really
cool things. Like one of them was from the the
year that the Caps won the Stanley Cup. It's a
jersey that was autographed by everybody on the team. It
had a replica ring and a and a game puck
in it. So I had Devontae Smith, Pelly and Brooks
Orpik who won it, come up and like hold the

(05:23):
thing up.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
It was I mean, it's unbelievable and literally it's the
entire team that signed the that that signed the uh
that that's that signed the jersey.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Freaking awesome.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Did you see what it went for?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
The Yeah, but I mean that's getting into people's business,
Like it went for a lot of money. It went
for a lot of money. And then there was a
there were two jerseys that were framed one by and
they're together, right, So it's a bit. It's a big
freaking frame and it's got two jerseys that Locker had signed,
like he got Like I know, Locker doesn't look like

(05:59):
he does a lot of work, but the but like
he's so busy getting everything done. So it was two
jerseys that were framed side by side by Ov and
Gretzky's awesome.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
It was great.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Surprised you didn't bet on that?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
The not Well, I don't know. I don't think I'm
allowed to bid on anything. Why because I'm hosting the things.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Haven't taken your code of conduct and ethics training yet.
You could have placed.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
That well, i'll tell you what that thing that I
would But no, that went hot, that went hot out
of the gate. Then there was a there.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
There was a one of one which.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Was a it's a it's a it's a like a
photo that was taken.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
It's like a professional photographer took it during when Ov
scored the record breaking goal. And remember he does like
the flop on the ice and the whole thing. So
there's that, there's a there, there's a puck from the game.
And then if you remember the two people that assist
did on the goal, where Dylan Strom and Tom Wilson,
they both so all three of them autographed the picture.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
It's freaking awesome. It's great. That also went for a
crap ton of money.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
But then there were like all these experiences, like all
the golf stuff people were into. You know who you
know who donated to locker to be able to auction
something off Adam Sandler. Oh really, yeah, So you've got
a suite for when Sandler comes to town. So you
get a sweet and a happy Gilmour hockey stick.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Potter.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yeah, it was freaking awesome. That went for a lot
of money. Oh yeah, there's the you see it, the
ov Gretzky Jersey.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Is that the same one because this was the online company?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Oh no, no, no, then that one would have been
that one would have been different.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
This this also was happening yesterday as well.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yeah. The by the way, I know that the like
midway through the live.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Baar Jared is it's not available or wasn't available online,
But they did post a photo.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Isn't that amazing? Isn't that amazing? Yeah? That went that
went for well into five digits.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
The uh, what tells you here how much it went for?
Oh okay, all right, well I know you're not saying,
but it is published.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Oh okay, Well I'm not getting into people's stuff.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
So who was running who was executing this and updating
the paddle numbers online? It wasn't you or Joe.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
B No, no, no, I didn't even know they were
updating online.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
If I'm being honest, I had no idea.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
By the way, that humid door at the bottom, do
you see that, the one that looks like the White House,
I didn't even know what that was that's a humid door.
That's a humidor. It took two people to carry it.
I don't know how many cigars went in that. I
also told everybody you could store weed in there and
it keeps it fresh. That may have missed a little
bit in the crowd the but yeah, that thing was awesome.

(08:46):
That's awesome, and it's autographed, and then you get there
were some cigars I don't know if they were legal
that also went with that. Like there was a bunch
of cool stuff. But that's not what I wanted to
bin on. I wanted to bit on something for the show.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
Is it a trip? The Is it for Diane's birthday Thursday?

Speaker 2 (09:04):
The No, Jesus, no, God, damn it, Diane. I may
have gotten you.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
You know what I got you, Diane, I got you
a They so like the like for like Locker and
the they have like like custom made jerseys that they
wear for the golf tournament.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I got you one that says one O one E
I T M on the back.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
No, but so like during the during the course of
the night, like listen, like I love Joe b and
Locker and all them.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
I had no idea how much they listened to the show.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Like it's crazy how much they listened to the show,
Like no, seriously, like like Joe B was like talking
about stuff. I was like, I don't even remember us
doing that, and Margaret so it was great. So you
know what I wanted to bin on there was so
one of the items that you could bin on. This
is the one that I wanted for the show is
a dinner with Joe B and a private chef at

(10:02):
Joeb's house.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
That was up for grabs.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Yes, yes, did he tell you, uh, the people that
are running this Oxen can't bet on it was that
his rule is that why you didn't put your paddle up?

Speaker 1 (10:17):
And then he dropped a little nugget when we were
talking about it, so he said, listen, there's a and
forgive me, I can't remember who the chef is, but
it's it's it's a Michelin starred chef. So he's like,
you know, the next thing up is yeah, that's right exactly.
And so it was like, you know, we'll meet with
you and we'll go over the menu and make sure
it's what you want and stuff, and then you'll come

(10:38):
to come to the house. I don't know where Joe
B lives and then Joe B in the middle of
it was like, I'll go downstairs into the winelocker and and.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
No, but I even.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Said to him, Joe, you have a winelocker in your house,
so he's like a collector.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
He did say that, yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Well, not not so stuffy like you just did. He
just said, yeah, you know, there's there's some bottles down there,
and like, I keep it, I keep it chilled.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Yeah, and it's nice. I was like, sweet, that's awesome.
And then and then.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
It does refer to it as his highly prized personal seller.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Yeah, like he seller.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yeah, yeah, No, it's not like a locker like like
he was no, Like he was like, I'll go downstairs
and I'll uh, you know, I'll pair the wine with dinner.
I was like, this freaking awesomeuff and he has stuff
the and then he was like, you know, and we'll
all sit down and have dinner. And at one point
I can't remember like how many guests you could bring,
but I was like, Joe, you got a table in
the kitchen that seats that many people, And he said, no, no,

(11:40):
my kitchen table doesn't, but the one in the dining
room does. And then I asked Joe B if we
could also turn it into a sleepover.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
That's the one I wanted to bid on.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
That is awesome.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
Because I wanted a show dinner at Joe B's house.
How great would that be? And just ushering Joe down
into the basement to go get us more wine, how
awesome would that have been?

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Now?

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Who it just says he So, I'm not sure who
the pronoun is referring to. But he will design to
bespoke menu that reflects your story.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Oh that's Miles. But but Joe that we well what
he said.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
But by the way he said that that Miles and
he will will We'll meet with you for the bespoke menu.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
I looked at like at that point. So I was walking.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Around the room and at one point I was I
think I was walking by Oli at that point, and
I looked at him.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I was like, hey, cols it. What's a bespoke menu?

Speaker 1 (12:35):
He looked at me, Oh, something with bikes.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
But it was great and and I don't remember who
ended up buying it.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Pedal one one one, the that's all saying.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
No, I remember he was sitting next to the guy
who only had one leg, who I didn't realize had
one leg, and I started getting up his ass and
the just I asked if he had money stuffed in
the prosthetic, that he could dig out of there for something,
and then they could.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
So you started joking with him after you realized he
was missing a leg.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yes, I didn't realize that he was missing a.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
No, but his buddy said, you know, he's a tough
son of a bitch, and I was like, that's okay,
as long I don't care how tough he is. I'm
more worried about his speed. And so no, everything was good.
They turned out to be very, very nice people, but
it was It was great. So next year, next year,
I want to bid on dinner at Joe Bee's house.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Well, let's hope it goes well for this year's winner.
The oh absolutely, and it doesn't turn into the final
time he's offering up that.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Well, I think that's where I'll force that into the
program and then be able to do it.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
It was so much fun though it was great.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
It was great, like and I don't golf the but
it seemed like everybody who was had a good time,
Like it was fun.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
That was a good time. It says they raised so
much money.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Yeah, early count and says one hundred thousand dollars. And
that was their goal.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
By the way, they I can tell you this.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
They they raised it was over one hundred thousand dollars
just on the silent auction stuff.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
That didn't even include the live auction stuff that was going.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
That's awesome, and that stuff was going, I'm telling you,
well into five digits. Yeah, it was going. Like at
some point I got really nervous. By the way, Joe
B is such a professional. Joe B is such a
pro and he's doing it and I'm walking around like
a jackass, not knowing what I'm doing, and but he
is so good. He makes everybody so comfortable. Like Joe
B's great. He ate I didn't, but Joe B was fantastic.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
I'm starving to death, he said in the clip they
released the view and it was a quick moment as
he walked by you. But he said he was prepared
for someone who wasn't because he works with Locker.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
So anyway, thanks to thanks to Locker for letting me
come out and be a part of that.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
That was great last night.
