Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact that we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
So uh no surprises Kamala interview with exactly as exactly
as I expected it to watch the interview yesterday. This
was different experience. I went with a bunch of friends
of mine of mind, uh got nice vote. And here

(00:39):
in Long Island they do you do this thing from
time to time where we leave Huntington, we go straight
across the sound and go to Stanford, Connecticut. There have
a little uh you know, food and cocktails there and
then come back later on and go to bet And
it was, you know, it was how many we was
about eight of us there and we were you know,

(01:01):
hanging out, you know, ordering some food and watching this
uh this debate or debate, excuse me, this interview. And
you know, different jobs, different walks of life. But you know,
basically the consensus everyone there is just like, can you
you know, basically can you believe that we in the

(01:22):
country we live in and you know, these are all
successful people I'm with and you take a look at
all the accomplished people we have in this country. And
basically they echoed, I laughed, is this the best we
can do? Remember that was the original when we started
covering this election, you know, decision twenty twenty four. Is
this the best we can do? She didn't implode. That's

(01:50):
all they were all they were looking for. Okay, but
you're watching this just someone that is even I mean,
you can consider someone that presidential can't even answer questions.
See your appearance yesterday in Georgia. Non sensical word Salid Again,

(02:17):
it's you knew, I said, you know people are up
in our data. Bash could a destroyer? Did you think
that CNN and Dana Bash, we're going to wreck Kamala Harris. No,
first and foremost, it's not in their interest to wreck
Kamala Harris. From a business point of view, the last

(02:40):
thing in the world that the news networks want is
it's for ratings purposes, is for a race to be
a blowout. They don't want that. It's like the It's
like the super Bowl. You know, they want super Bowls
to be blowing. They want the game to be good
because again, you know, I want people to stay tuned
in so the advertisements can be seen. You know, the
entire wife anyway, neither here nor there. They don't want that.

(03:02):
They know, they are well aware that she's full of it,
and she's flipping on positions. What was what was her
her big thing? You know, her belief system has remained
the same. We all, everyone sees it, we all know,
we all it is that the progressive commercials there with

(03:23):
doctor Rick. I love those commercials. They're hilarious, you know,
keeping people from becoming their parents. And there's the one
there in the home depot and there's a kid with
the blue hair. We all see it. We all see it.
We all see it, we all see it. We all
know Tim Walls. Tim Walls is having troubled grammar. That's

(03:45):
why he, you know, did that whole stolen val. I
think a follow up on that, they're not. But I'm
gonna say this again, and I made this, made this point,
We justus this last night. It doesn't matter. It doesn't
matter when you have when you have a block of

(04:09):
people here in this country like we have. Quite frankly,
it's again, I didn't even know how to get around it.
And we talked earlier earlier podcast, A fifty percent of
the population is not paying any income text, you also
have a block of the population that the reality is,
if they decided to run and I believe this to

(04:32):
be true, and challenge me on it, if they decided
to run Polepot, Adolf Hitler, Joseph, come up with your
own monster out there, it doesn't make any difference. And
that candidate was pro abortion, going against a candidate that

(04:55):
was pro life, the pro abortion, the pro that they
would find a way to justify voting for that monster.
That's all they care about. That that is a reality.

(05:15):
We had We were actually throwing around ideas over cocktails,
and I said, you know, if it's almost as if
if you you you you lie the Republican candidate, if
they were, you know, pro pro life candidate, it's almost
like you say, I'm not taking a position on that,
cross your fingers behind your back and do what you

(05:37):
need to when you get elected. Basically, there's no way
there's That's that's what these that they are one issue voters.
And now you can throw in the whole the alphabet
people in that whole situation as well, and you know,

(05:59):
you got self a pretty good sized block right there.
That again, it wouldn't matter, wouldn't matter who they threw
up there to run, what type of monster, as long
as that person was pro abortion they're voting for. So again,
how do we get around that? I don't know. I

(06:22):
don't know, but I you know, And we also got
a little deeper in the conversation. It's something I brought
up here before. You know, a country that believes like
that like this, does it deserve to even stick around
in the first place. I'm just saying, if we're going
to vote this way, we deserve everything that we're going

(06:46):
to get. Uh, you know, I'd be very blatant about it.
I mean, what do you want me to say? You know,
I'm gonna live my life. I'm gonna, you know, do
what I believe is right, work my tail off every
single day. You know, It's great that we live in
a world today, quite frankly, that's interconnected, where you know,

(07:07):
the companies, you know, you can when you have a
collapse of an economy or not even the economy collapse,
of the effects are not the same as they would
be in the past. I've already talked about the drift
that we've had for a long period of time here
in this country. But again, you watch this interview, you

(07:31):
see Kamala Harris up there. You know that she's not
competent or capable or deserves to be in the place
that she's in. You know, you come up with a
myriad of different things. You know, who's running the country,
who's running Kamala Harris? All of these things. Again, people
don't care, they don't how do you make them here?

(07:55):
I couldn't tell you. I couldn't tell you because again
I've do this thing for a long time, and yeah,
what am I supposed to say? I've been some sort
of help obviously, haven't. Yeah, I I you know, it
pushed the rock to the op top of the hill,
keeps on coming down. You. The electorate gets dumber and

(08:17):
dumber and dumber as we go along. The media gets
worse and worse and worse as we go along. I
don't know what to tell you. I don't want to
tell you. I'm not gonna let it ruin my weekend.
I gave that. I you know, there's enough issues, you know,
to deal with in the world. I'm gonna put my
faith in you know what, I believe to be true.

(08:39):
And again the chips are going to fall where they may.
I will rant rave, I'll continue again. Let's I say
a big believer, you know, uh, build, create, protect, teach.
We're talking about all the time here, all the time,
and that's all you can do. That's all you can do. Again,
we all see it. If you if you have you know,

(09:00):
a few brain cells sur rubbed together, you see it.
What are you gonna do? What are you gonna do?
You get to change people's minds who are wearing those
types of blinders on how you do it? It was funny.
I was, I was, you know, listening to Joe Rogan's podcast, Yes,

(09:24):
and he was interviewing doctor Andrew Haberman I'm a big
fan of as well. He Stanford UH professor and doctor
and talking about politics and he was talking about how
you know, they took part of his podcast MSNBC and
twisted it to making him sound like, uh, he was
endorsing Kamala Harris when he was interviewing Tulsea Gabbard, who

(09:46):
was really ticked off about the entire thing, and he
gave the same wrote the same thing. I said, there
are certain older people here in this country. There are
certain people that are out there, and again that's a
large part of as well. Well, they don't want to
think about these things. They've signed up, they signed their
name that they were a Democrat decades ago, and that's

(10:10):
the way that they're going to vote. He basically said,
you know, it's like, you know, a team'sping. Like we explained,
you are voting for laundry. You're voting for laundry. And
that's many people are either they're voting for abortion or
they're voting for their team that they've always been on,

(10:32):
and it doesn't matter what that team stands for. Armor
donor Tizar's a kid. My parents were Democrat. Tom Acts again,
you get the government you deserve. Or Ben Franklin. You know,
it's a republic if we can keep it, not so sure.
