Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
So I appreciate the kudos. What are my listeners? Yeah,
nuclear now. One of my listeners is actually like, Chris,
you should start I know you don't like gambling. We
should start playing lotto. We're going to the casino because
you've been calling a lot of stuff a day after,
a day after we reported on you know, with the
direction the fact that we're excited about what the country

(00:39):
should do in regards to nuclear reopening Three Mile Island.
Looking at this, how about it? Capitalism solves many of
our problems, does it not? Fourteen the world's biggest banks
and financial institutions are pledging to increase their support for
nuclear energy. You don't say, you don't say that technology

(01:03):
is there, The modular reactors are there. The reason why
you're not seeing a lot when it comes to major
investments in these areas is because, again, why would you
want to compete against the federal government and federal dictats,
especially if you're a big bank. At an event that

(01:23):
took place in New York actually had climate policy advisor
John Podesta. Okay, the Biden administration is caving on this.
Bank of America, Barclays BNP City Morgan Stanley Goldman sachs
that they will support a goal first set out Teaze

(01:44):
a while ago when it came to nuclear energy and
what they wanted done by twenty fifty. Public support is
heading in this direction. It is the answer. And again
I can't stress this enough. You lead the world, you
lead the world in energy like this, and you lead

(02:05):
the world an inexpensive energy. Businesses are going to flock here.
It's really simple. People, you lower costs here in the
United States to do business. Again, why wouldn't you? Why
wouldn't you? The only issue you might have is in
regards to whether or not the labor force is going

(02:28):
to be large enough here in the United States. And again,
if we had a coherent immigration policy here in the
United States, where we were bringing in legal immigrants and
training people properly for these various different jobs that are
coming down the pike, away we go, we might get
back to that point in time where we could start
seeing four percent plus growth on an annual basis. Watchdog
