Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
There's certain people in my industry that, quite frankly, I have,
you know, an enormous deal of respect for.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
If I find out that they're.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Going to be being interviewed, they're on TV, whatever it
may be, I'm tuning in one of those individuals, great
investor in philanthropists, gentleman by the name of Leon Cooperman,
and he was interviewed today on CNBC and.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I'm calling it a Leon Cooperan conundrum. Why I said
that Leon Cooperman conundrum. He is a again, he's a guy
that you know, he like me. It tells you exactly
who he's supported, who he's voted for. He mentioned, you know,
voted for Trump and sixteen Biden twenty twenty. And he's

(01:02):
talking about he's been a you know, a Republican conservative
guy his entire life.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
And again, he spent a lot of time during his
interview today talking about debt. How either candidate, either candidate
is not saying a damn thing about getting.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Our deficits and debt under control.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
And he pointed out, he pointed out issues with Kamala Harris,
He pointed out issues with Donald Trump. Now, why am
I calling this to Leon Cooperman conundrum the Edney interview
who he came out.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
And he said he was voting for neither. Neither.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
He said, he's going to vote for the House and
the Senate, voting Republican across the board. He just cannot
bring himself, cannot bring himself to vote for either candidate.
And again, a lot of the stuff with Donald Trump,
quite frankly, it was comments that he made in particular,

(02:01):
stuff that again made my stomach turn, stuff in regards
to John McCain and you know, other things that he
said to other people. Nikki Haley's husband he mentioned that
as well, that that's the conundrum. That's what Donald Trump
is facing right now, but it's also maybe what Kamala
Harris is facing as well. Will people and again this

(02:24):
is I'm curious to see, will people show up at
the polls, vote, vote, you know, down ticket candidates and
skip on the presidency all together?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
