Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact that we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Vance on climate change. I'm going to take one thing
from the debate that I really thought was a unique
way of answering the climate change fiasco. And Vance did
a great job on many of the topics. We're going
to talk about this one, but first and foremost, I
want to go over a litany of, you know, again,
(00:36):
the nonsense that we're fed when it comes to climate change. Again,
I want to remind everybody again, another great day. Another
nuclear power plant going online in Michigan. They're turning on
red one that was shut off. They're going to turn
it back on. Here's something when it comes to win turbines. Okay,
(01:01):
average wind farm about one hundred and fifty wind turbines.
Each turbine needs eighty gallons of oil as lubricant. And
this is not vegetable oil. That's twelve thousand gallons of it,
and that oil needs to be replaced once a year.
Thirty eight hundred turbines would be needed to power a
(01:24):
city the size of New York. That's three hundred and
four thousand gallons of refined oil just for one city.
Now you have to calculate this for the entire country. Now,
where do you think that oil comes from. Let's say
the factories used to build these wind farms. Yeah, they
run on petroleum. Now let's talk about the footprint for
(01:45):
these wind turbines. Each turbine requires a footprint of one
point five acres, So a wind farm of one hundred
and fifty turbines needs two hundred and twenty five acres.
In order to power a city the size of New York,
you need fifty seven thousand acres. Think about that for
(02:07):
a second. And this is all clear cut. Land can't
have trees. Interferes with the twenty mile an hour sustained
wind velocity necessary for the turbine to work properly. And again,
not all states are suitable for this. Got to cut
down a lot of trees. Guys, can't be a tree
(02:30):
hugger if you believe in wind mills. Let's just leave
it at that. And I can go on and on
and on just how stupid windmills are quite Frankly, I
don't know if you saw this. In Texas, a hailstorm
reduced thousands of acres of solar panels into a pile
of debris, a couple of weeks after the same thing
(02:51):
happened in Nebraska. I want to talk about cow farts.
Cow farts. Do you know how many buffalo we're roam
in the country in the early eighteen hundreds, sixty million,
sixty million buffalo Currently they're nine point four million dairy
(03:17):
cows and thirty one point seven million beef cows in America,
so that there are less cows in America than there
were bison roaming in the early eighteen hundreds. Now, let
me ask you a question. Are somehow cow farts more
powerful than buffalo farts? Just ask him? Just throwing that
(03:40):
out there again. We've talked about lithium batteries and you
know what that does if they get wet. Oh that
that Jersey Shore wind power project. Yep, they can't find
anybody now willing to even manufacture the turbine blades. We've
wasted I god knows how much money on all of
(04:04):
these ridiculous ideas and technology. Let's get to JD. Vance's point,
and again, I think this is a good one, he says.
I think it's important for us, first of all, to
say Donald Trump and I support clean air, clean water.
I've said this again and again again. Most of the
(04:26):
you take a look at the environmental mistakes in the past.
Do I believe that there were some nefarious actors and
dumping and whatever it may be. Yeah, but oftentimes it's
just people who didn't know any better and didn't err
on the side of caution, which again is ridiculous because
you always need to be prudent when it comes to things.
You know, Prudent is a cornerstone of conservatism anyway. We
(04:50):
want the environment to be cleaner and safer. But one
of the things I've noticed some of our Democratic friends
talking a lot about is a concern about carbon emissions.
This idea that carbon emissions drives all of the climate change,
which again is stupid. Okay, I've said this. It's just
it's just plain dumb. Well, let's just say that it's
(05:10):
true for the sake of argument. Well, if you believe that,
what would you want to do. The answer is, you'd
want to restore as much American manufacturing as possible. And
you want to produce as much energy as possible in
the United States of America because we're the cleanest economy
in the entire world. And again I've said this, you
(05:34):
want to have you want to really clean world. We
want to clean up the environment, make people wealthy, export capitalism.
Last time I checked, most human beings don't like to
live in filth. What Kamala Harris's policies actually led to
is more energy production in China, more manufacturing overseas, more
(05:56):
doing business, and some of the dirtiest parts of the
entire world. So if we actually care about getting cleaner
air and cleaner water, the best thing to do is
to double down and invest in American workers and the
American people. And unfortunately Kamala Harris has done the exact opposite.
That was basically checkmate right there. Watchdog on Wall Street
