Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact that we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Moving European auto manufacturers here to the United States. I
have been very critical, very critical of Donald Trump's tariff policy.
We did podcasts on it this past week, and I'm saying,
how do you track business and manufacturers here to the
United States? How do you go about doing that? Will

(00:40):
you become a better environment, a better place where companies
can do business? And here's an opportunity. I've been jumping
all over this, jumping all over this. European car giants
are scared out of their mind. As it stands right now.
As it stands right now, the European auto industry might

(01:01):
have to pay up to fifteen billion euros next year
in fines. Why because they couldn't convince enough people to
buy evs. That's right, I'm not making it up. According
to their climate neutrality goals for twenty fifty, all these

(01:23):
European car manufacturers agreed to these numbers. Here, what are they?
The co two per kilometer. I don't know, some sort
of nonsense. And as it turns out, people aren't buying
evs to the degree that they thought. And now because
nobody wants to buy their cars, they're going to have

(01:45):
to pay a fine fifteen billion year. That's just next year.
If I was if I was someone here in the
United States and the higher up, some of the top man,
I'd say, hey, hey, come on over to the United States.
Come on over to the United States. What we're going
to do here is we're not going to have any

(02:06):
of these nonsensical fines. You can manufacture your cars here
in the United States. Did I mention We're opening up
nuclear power plants here too. Your energy costs are going
to come down. You can set up shop and a
lot of these low tax states here and write to
work states so you can have all a great workforce
here that can make money, can be competitive. Come on in,

(02:28):
come on over. This is how you compete. This is
the same reason why Florida and Texas and Tennessee and
all these other states are blowing away the states in
the north, that we have it within our own country.
You can actually even hey, you know what you can
list on our exchanges here. Become an American company where

(02:49):
you're not going to get taxed for not selling evs.
