Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it will have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Celebrity, lies and stupidity. Hey, the icing on the cake, Yeah,
I said on the cake this time around was Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah Winfrey saying that in essence, if you voted for
Donald Trump, this could be it could be an essence

(00:36):
the last election will ever have. Let me level with
everybody here, so again, I do a program. We present
various different ideas, We talk about various different issues here.
I'm not telling you how to vote. It never told you.
I told you how I have voted, told you who
I voted for in the past, why I voted for

(00:59):
this person. I am critical of both sides. You have
ever celebrity do that, harver a celebrity come out when
they're giving some ridiculous endorsement, whatever it may be, and
give you their reasoning outside of he's evil, He's been.
There's a song, it's a pretty funny song that was

(01:19):
actually a good tune by Guns N' Roses. I used
to love her, Larry, I used to love her, but
I had to kill her. But uh, that's that's basically
Donald Trump and these celebrities. They're actually going back and
watched Mika Brzhinski and Joe Scarborough buddy buddy with Trump.

(01:45):
He used to have him on MSNBC all the time.
Donnie Deutsch actually had a segment on one of the
early episodes of The Apprentice, Oprah, we used to be
buddies with Trump. They actually talked about running for office together.

(02:06):
How about Donald Trump? It won't en me for crying
out loud his appearance on Saturday Night Live. He was
on there, did an entire show and it was funny.
Now you may disagree with his politics nowadays, but again,

(02:26):
what kind of human being are you? You're somebody that
just uses people, obviously for advancement in some way, shape
matter form. You having on a show to increase your ratings.
You want to cozy up to him for whatever reason.
It may be because he has money, he's in a
position of power. He is a mover and shaker in

(02:47):
New York. And again I get this. I'm just coming
from somebody, Okay that's been highly critical. Guy on many
different issues. And the funny thing I'd say it, this
is where I disagree with you on these various different
things where I think you're wrong. And yeah, does some
of the statements that that Trump says sometimes is it

(03:09):
off putting? Absolutely? But this is just weird. It is
that the lies and the stupidity that the celebrity he
has put out here is a bit of advice. I

(03:32):
guess maybe some young and the younger listeners out there.
You want to listen to podcasts, you want to listen
to celebrities. So I have problems with these stupid influencers
whatever it may be that will become oh so popular.
Listen to what they have to say. Ask questions, why
why are they saying this? Why why do you hate

(03:52):
Donald Trump? And he answered, well, he the fantest and
he did know why? How how is he a fascist?
How what is your definition of the word fascist? How
in the world is he anything like a mass murderer
like Hitler? Can you explain that to me? And then
they'll they'll come up with things that we're taken out

(04:13):
of context, whatever it may be, to form their their own,
you know, feeble opinion. You've got to understand where you're
getting your information from. And again I always go back
to that Reagan line. Here, people trust but verify. But

(04:33):
when it comes to celebrities, all right, don't trust. Watch
