Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it will have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Are mass deportations coming? No? I well, I guess it
depends on what the meaning of the word mass is.
Donald Trump did come out and he said that his
administration has no choice quote, no choice but to carry
out mass deportations of illegal immigrants, regardless of how much

(00:40):
it may cost. I was an interview with NBC News
where he was asked about how much would cost to
carry up the plan, and I said, it's not a
question of price tag. Really, we have no choice now.
But listen carefully here. This is what he had to say.
When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have
destroyed countries and now they're going back to those countries

(01:02):
because they're not staying here, there is no price tag. Now.
There was talk about deporting eleven million people who are
not authorized to be in the United States. Some people
put the numbers as high as twenty million. He went
on to say, we obviously have to make the border
strong and powerful, and we have to at the same time,

(01:23):
we want people to come into our country, but we again,
we want it legal. And he said that, he said, listen,
you know people are saying that, no, you can't come in.
We want people to come in. I agree, we do
want people to come in. We do want immigrants to
come in this country, but we need it to be
legal and it can't be you know, haphazard all over

(01:44):
the place. Hey, you know what, anybody, anything goes, We're
going to pay for all of your services. We talked
about that in terms last week, but they were paying
people in New York and comparing contrasts what we're paying
American citizens who had their lives destroyed by some hurricanes.
Take that and put that aside. Mass deportations, again, it

(02:05):
depends on what the meaning of the word mass is.
Will they be going after criminals? Absolutely absolutely that it's
going to be enormously popular. It's going to be enormously
popular from both sides of the aisle. How how can
you argue against that. You start eliminating as well, you

(02:29):
start eliminating all of the government handouts and giveaways, then
one then what people will have to self deport? You
start working to obviously make sure that you're hiring people
through legal channels. With that being said, will they find

(02:53):
will they find a way to make illegal some of
the people that are already here that are working, absolutely
they have to. They have to. That were just not
enough workers to do the various different things that need
to be done here in this country. There's not there
not going to go. You're not going to see you know,

(03:14):
eleven million people being deported from the country. You'll see
self deportations. You'll see them going after criminals, which is great,
which is fantastic, and you're going to see them secure
the border, which is what we need to do. Again.
Legal legal immigration has been a moon for this country,

(03:38):
without a doubt that there's no argument there. But part
of the thing that made it work was the fact
that you were bringing people in, bringing people in that
wanted to be here. You were assimilating them to our
society and to our culture. People that again turned into Americans.

(04:00):
What's an American? American? Any color, religious, That's the beauty
of this country. Which was great was our ability to
assimilate all of these people. What was fascinating is actually looking,
you know, I live in Florida, South Florida, These Venezuelan
communities down in South Florida that were pissed off at

(04:21):
all of the migrants and all of the people that
were coming in into this country the wrong way when
they went through proper channels. Again, you know, I want
to be open to the world as well. I want
to be open to the world as well. And most
certainly we've got to find better ways to expedite things
and bring people here. I think it's great as well,

(04:41):
the idea that Donald Trump had. Other people have had
this as well, saying hey, listen, we're educating these people
from the entire world. You're getting a college degree here,
you know, slap a green card on that. We want
you to be here. We want to bring in the breast,
the best, and the brightest, and we also want to
bring in workers as well as we need them. But
it has to be controlled. It doesn't benefit anyone when

(05:05):
cities are overrun, when public service is over when schools
can't handle it, when we don't have the housing. It
makes life miserable for everyone. That makes no sense. And again,
properly vetted, properly vetted people. We all know, Yes, they

(05:26):
opened up this just like feed out Castro did. Let
all my la. We'll kick all of our bad guys
out and send them to the United States that the
United States deal with them. That has to stop, that
has to stop. The anarchy that has been taking place
must end. And again there we also put Tom Holman again.
He's huh, no one to mess around with, that's for sure.

(05:49):
He is. He's a border star, gonna shut it down.
