Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Social Security and the conspiracy to keep people poor, stupid,
and dependent. Now, first and foremost got to give credit
where credits due. I'm not Joe Biden here. The conspiracy
to keep poor and stupid was quote and it was
actually a website from Donald Luskin, a really bright economic
(00:41):
thinker back from the nineteen nineties. I just added dependent
to it. Most of the most of the country is
brainwashed into thinking that Social Security is this wonderful, wonderful
program that's done all of these wonderful things right right again. Unfortunately,
(01:03):
most people they don't really do the math. They never
really calculate calculate how much money they've actually put in.
For most Americans, that's you know again, you got fifty
percent of the country's not paying any income tax, but
they're paying payroll tax, and it's a tax. This is
again part of the conspiracy to keep people poor and stupid.
(01:25):
On your paycheck, payroll tax and income tax. It's a
freaking tax. It's a tax. It all goes to the
same damn place. Okay, but most oh h, I got
my account a lock box somewhere. The government lied to
(01:48):
everyone when they started social Security. When the Supreme Court
Supreme Court looked into the constitutionality of Social Security, the
government changed its tune, changed its tune, and as of late,
there's been some more and more people that are actually
(02:12):
looking into it, which I'm happy. I'm encouraged. There's only
a few of us for decades here. Again, I've written
several pieces on it over the years. We've talked about
it on a regular basis here in the program. I've
warned people do not rely on getting social Security. I've
explained to people that you have no right to it.
(02:32):
And I was actually encouraged at Mike Lee from Utah
actually come out and put out some facts on this
that we've talked about in the past. There was a
Assistant Attorney General, Robert Jackson, who basically made the argument
that this was Heaverling. If I'm not mistaken, the Heaverlin
(02:56):
Supreme Court Chase that this Social Security money is not
your money, it's a tax. And because it's a tax.
The people in Washington, DC can do whatever the hell
they want with it. Everything versus Davis. That's a supreme thing,
Supreme Court case where Supreme Court upheld the Social Security
(03:18):
Act by embracing the government's argument that what people pay
into Social Security is tax revenue available to be used
as Congress may direct. Okay, not your money. So basically
the Social Security Act, you were told that you paid
(03:41):
into the system and it was your money, their money.
People to this day actually think that it's their money.
It's not yours, it's the government's. It's the governments. You
have no legal right to it. Now, once the government
has your money, do they invest it? No, build a portfolio. No,
(04:08):
doesn't sit in an account, doesn't have your name on it.
It goes into the Social Security Trust Fund. But this
Social Security Trust Fund is think again, I've described this before.
The best way to describe this is the suitcase from
Dumb and Dummer with Harry and Lloyd. They just dip
(04:30):
into it and they stick IOU's in it for whatever
they want. Again, that's your wonderful social Security plan. Again,
you'll get leftist economist Paul Krugmansey, Alan Blinders, Robert reish,
not even an economist basically sing the praises of this program,
(04:52):
really really, if I was to provide over the lifetime,
if I was knock on your door like Uncle Sam does,
and well, Uncle Sam kicks your door down, demands that
you pay into this program. If I was to do
the same thing as Uncle Sam and provide the level
(05:14):
of returns that Uncle Sam did, I go to jail.
It's a frickin' Ponzi scheme. And guess what it's going
to be cut. It's not a matter of if. It's
a matter and so again, you know what, people don't
listen to me. Don't prepare, don't save, be reliant upon
(05:34):
the government again, be poor, stupid. And here's the next one.
Dependent And I'm sorry, I know these words might be
a little bit harsh, but it's reality. Okay. The reason
why government does things like this is they want you
depend it upon them. You'll do what they tell you.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
I need my Obama care, I need my sourcial security,
needed this, I need that you will be good little peasants,
good little good little peasant living on the lord's mannor.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Oh, the Lord takes care of you and they know
you peasants out there. They want you dependent on them.
How about growing up and providing for yourself. Just throwing
it out there. Oh it's not so he's in this cold,
cruel world. Yeah. Whatever Again, I go back. I think
about that that member that Life of Julia advertisement when
(06:32):
Obama was running against Romney, where it was basically highlighting
all the cradle to grave government handouts that were gonna
be provided to Julia to make Julia good, little peasant,
because that's that's what jar So why are you You're
you're peasant living on the lord's manna, and the lords, hey,
(06:54):
here you go here, we'll give you a little bit.
You work the land for us, and we'll give you
some crumbs. Watchdog on Wall Street dot com
