Speaker 2 (00:16):
Little inflation reality, Yeah, I should break out the old
bear necessity song from the Jungle Book, Bare Necessities. Yeah,
we got headline CPI inflation at five month high. Core
CPI fell but remains one hundred and twenty basis points
(00:37):
above the fence target. But it was softer than expected,
so markets off to the races. Let's take a look,
shall we at inflation that really matters the bear necessities.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I know Biden and Finder doing such a good job.
Inflation is where is it? It's not there? What are
you talking about? Car insurance eleven point three percent, transportation
up seven point three, car repair six point two, utility
gas up four point nine, homeowner four point eight, rent
(01:15):
four point three, food away from home three point six,
hospital services up three point five. You forget about food
at the grocery store. It keeps compounding to the upside. Again,
this is what matters most to Americans. I've talked about
this before, you can listen to all the bs and
(01:37):
the spin and the narratives that are being pitched to
you by all of these these pundits on TV telling
you everything is awesome. It's not. It's not. This hurts, Okay,
this hurts. My wife comes home from the grocery store
and she's like, what the I can't believe what I
(01:58):
just spent. You don't understand how expensive. Again, it's out
of control. It's no quick fixes to this people. It's
going to take some serious work, time and effort to
unravel unravel this disaster that we have done to ourselves.
(02:22):
We talked yesterday about the you know, the deficits that
that's one of the things that that's problematic. You know,
hopefully Robert F. Kennedy Junior can do something with our
food supply chains and helping to bring the cost down.
But we have a lot of work to do to
get prices down to where they really need to be.
