Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
This sucks.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
We got another green green fire this time. The hits
keep on coming in California. This is in Monterey County,
another absolutely beautiful area of the country. There is a
fire right now that has been going on at the

(00:43):
Moss Landing power Plant. And a Moss Landing power plant
was I guess plant. It had large tower. It has
it's kind of like a landmark there, the towers that
they have there. But it's being converted. Was bought by
this company called Vistra, Vistra Energy, and Vistra it's actually

(01:06):
ten percent of its owned by black Rock. Just so
you no, Vista Energy is converting it slowly but surely
to a lithium ion lithium ion battery plant. This is
part of California's Green Dreams, Green dreams for renewable energy.

(01:27):
This is a massive let's put this in perspective. This
is a massive plant. You're you're talking about, Yeah, Okay,
this is fifty wow, and it's again it's at the

(01:47):
size you're talking tens of thousands of lithium ion batteries.
So I'm doing a lot of homework on this this morning, people,
and putting it together. The interesting thing is this follow
along here. It stores seven hundred and fifty megawatts. Seven
hundred and fifty megawatts is enough power for about five

(02:11):
hundred and sixty two thousand homes for up to four hours. Now,
seven hundred and fifty megawatts. Again, California says it's going
to need fifty two thousand, fifty two thousand megawatts of

(02:31):
energy storage. I'm sorry, people, I'm gonna pull out the
calculator here in real time, Okay, fifty two thousand divided
by seven hundred and fifty. They're going to need seventy
seven zero more of these type of plants just to

(02:53):
keep up with their green dreams of solar and windmill
and renewables powering the the the energy grid in California.
This uh, this is an environmental disaster. Okay. This fire
is going to burn for days, for days.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
There's nobody fighting the fire.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
You cannot fight this fire, can't fight it. It's gonna
burn for days and everything coming out of it is
it's toxic. They're evacuating everyone from the area. I want
to remind everybody haven't been to that area. That area

(03:41):
Monterey in the country. It is a big agricultural area
as well. So what's grown there Strawberries, let us, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach,
Brussels sprouts, celery. Also have a lot of livestock and
chickens as well. This is all going to affect that.

(04:07):
Just so you know, just I don't know if the
government is going to, you know, pooh poo it allow
all of this stuff to continue to be shipped.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
But you're you're talking lithium.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
You want to go it fall out, lithium ion fallout from.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Your green fricking dreams you're putting together.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
You're building plants that, yeah, you can't put out the fires,
You're just going to go into all of the energy
is used up.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
This is.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
This is where we're at today, people. This this is
the nonsense. This is the this is the destruction of
this whole climate, green renewable bullshit, the biggest financial scam
in the history of this guy.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Do you understand it's over? Okay?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Who in the world who in California is gonna want
to live next to one of these? Who?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Another seventy of them need.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
To be built now Again, I don't the government will
probably lie to you. Again. There's a lot of big
money behind this again any Blackcrock, Big State Street, other, big,
big investment firms behind all this. Gotta get subsidies, gotta
build more of these ridiculous power plants with batteries, clear

(05:40):
and gas. For crying out loud people, what is what
is wrong with you? Did you see what you did? Again?
I'm pulling my hair out with this crap, I really am.
And the bullshits everywhere here was a story. Professor at

(06:00):
Syracuse and Duke said this week that President elect Donald
Trump's pro fossil fuel policies could exacerbate the wildfires in California.
We well know that Trump does not accept the science
of climate change and the reality of climate change. He's
very dismissive of it. This guy's name is Robert Wilson. Okay,
he's an associate professor at Syracuse University, MI alma matters

(06:23):
geography and the Environment Department. That's that wasn't there wasn't
a that wasn't there was no department when I went
to Syracuse, the geography, geography and environment department. To geography,

(06:44):
you go to school and you study maps, But what
exactly do you do with that? I'm just just curious.
It was fun when we were like an elementary school
in middle school environment. So basically, this this fellow, Robert Wilson,
his entire life and career is based upon a lie.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
And there's a lot of people walking around the earth
right now that are fully all.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
In this bullshit, fully vested, Okay, fully vested in this
bullshit he goes on. Certainly, I've seen no news account
over the past week where he's acknowledged that climate change
has played a role in making the wildfires in California worst.
You are a professor and you don't know what the

(07:32):
flip you're talking about? Who? How has climate change? Robert Wilson?
You just need this thing about these climate poole They
just say shit. They make me again, I make my
head on. They just say crap and they don't back
it up with any facts. It drives me absolutely preserved.

(07:52):
And you give them a platform.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
What might you ask, you know, how has how we.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Went through the California climate and fires in the history
of what has taken place here. And this guy's a
geography freaking professor, he doesn't freaking know. And then there's
Biden Biden again. It's not Biden, it's Obama again. There's

(08:22):
so much money being made on this bullshit. Biden presidencies
now have an executive order that they want to accelerate
the buildout of both green energy and data centers for
artificial intelligence. Okay, let me put this in a perspective.

(08:42):
Microsoft is going to build spend eighty billion dollars, eighty
billion dollars on AI data centers this year. Now, these
data centers are going to need ten times more power

(09:05):
than New York City.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Now, I lived in New York. Everybody familiar with New
York City. All the lights, you can see it, You're
not seeing any stars anywhere near it. A lot of electricity.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Being used in New York City. These data centers ten
times the power of New York City. Now buy and says, well,
you can build these data centers. We're going to open
up federal lands. I'm not kidding. You know what caveat is?
Do you know what cavet is? You have to you

(09:35):
have to be supplied with renewable energy. Now what did
I just say? You know that power plant could provide
energy massive battery plant moss Lantic five hundred and sixty
two thousand homes for four hours? How many? How many

(09:56):
homes are in New York City? I couldn't even begin
to tell you. Apartments, buildings, restaurants, whatever it may be.
Did you do you have any idea they would have
We would have to turn We would have to basically,
you know, it's like the show Yellows.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
We'd have to just.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Tear down all the national parks up there and just
put up solar sales and that wouldn't be enough.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
And that wouldn't be enough.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
This is again, one of the biggest financial frauds and
scams in the history of the world, and it needs
to be called out every single time, every single time.
So we start talking about you.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
You are full of shit again.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
I know I've sworn a lot here on this podcast,
and I don't like doing that, but I am on
my rate, my rate by this.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
God willing, god willing people. It'll end, Okay, it'll end.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
The stupidity will end. People will wake up and say,
well wait a second here, how is this going to work.
