Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
All right, anybody's talking about this big conservative win and Germany. Yeah,
the center right Christian Democrats CDU and the CSU they
took twenty nine percent of the vote, four point improvement.
The AfD party, which is the pariah party, they got
(00:41):
about twenty percent. You want to take a look at
the current leadership. They're all dropping now. Many people are saying.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Oh, it's a big conservative win for Germany and what
this means and this you know the conservatives that take
you o't no, no, stop stop. This is some luke
warm conservatism. And the realities on the ground in Germany
is that in order for this party to run the country,
(01:09):
they have to partner to form a governing coalition, and
they refuse to partner with the AfD, the alternative for Germany.
Again we concly hair, Oh, it's you know, got roots
in not season all this stuff again, a lot of
it's just complete and utter nonsense. But anyway, they won't
work with them. They won't work with them, So that
(01:32):
means they're going to have to find a deal with
one of these other far left parties, meaning what the
milk toast lukewarm. Yeah, they're not going to get much done.
They're not. Again, they haven't really in its extraordiny, they
haven't really hit rock bottom yet, despite the fact that
(01:52):
they've basically been in a recession for three years, the
fact that manufacturing continues to leave the country. The country
in of itself is almost uninvestible at this point in time.
I mean that and the UK and many others. Who's
going to set up shop there? Quite frankly, very very
difficult to do business there. So but they haven't. They
(02:15):
haven't fully come to grips with that yet. They haven't. Again,
I don't know what coalition is going to be put
together when it comes to this. But again it's just
same thing over and over again. Angle and Merkle and
all the stupid mistakes that she made right on through. Well,
let's open up the door. Let's open up the door
(02:38):
to all of these migrants that do not want to assimilate,
they're not interested and become they want a German passport,
but they have no interest in becoming German again at
some point in time. Again, these terrorist attacks continue to
(02:59):
have happen on a regular basis, and you're obviously seeing
it starting to reflect in the voters and how they're
turning out. Quite frankly, not enough. One quick shout out here,
one quick shout out for Germany on their election. Paper
ballots have to show ID, paper ballots have to show ID.
(03:24):
What is it a country? They got about fifty million people. Yeah,
they had the whole thing counted within a few short hours. Well,
we can't figure it out. How to do that here? Right?
