Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Requiem for Trump. Yeah, there's all of the news now.
They're talking about the elections that took place yesterday, had
the special elections here in the state of Florida. He
also had a Supreme Court race in Wisconsin. Is interesting,
the liberal one, but also on the ballot you had
(00:37):
a strong turnout and a win for protecting protecting voters'
rights and keeping people out of out of the ballot
boxes that don't belong there. But this is being spawn
of course by the mainstream media, being spawn as a
big disaster for Republicans various different publications. Ah, these weren't
(01:00):
districts that were one much much more last time around.
What does this mean for Democrats? Uh, that's all bs
okay Again. They have to try to get the people going.
They've got to create a conversation. They've got uh, they've
got panel shows. They've got panel shows where they have
to have people arguing against one another. Later on, and
(01:22):
this is a great topic for that, is it real?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
No, No, I'm gonna I'm gonna basically lay out what's
gonna what's gonna be the requiem, okay, requiem for Donald
Trump and his administration, whether it be in the midterms
and in twenty twenty eight for Republicans.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Let's let's first start out with a little bit of
we'll go back in time, because quite for I mean
to be honest here, I'm gonna hurt my arm, pat
myself on the back on this one. But everything that
we called politically in the run up to this last election,
what transpired verty much spot on, pretty much spot on it.
(02:10):
And again you can go to the video tape, go
to the videotape. I was actually on Fox Business, was
on vov's Business today when the Alvin Bragg story broke,
when the Alvin Bragg story broke about him going after
Donald Trump for all of this this nonsense. At this
(02:32):
point in time, now, I want to go back to that,
you know, snapshot in time. You know, Donald Trump wasn't
really even talked about that much in running in twenty
twenty four. He wasn't even a top guy. He was
kind of playing golf kind of in the background. But
(02:53):
you had story after story, whether it be the marl
Lago raid, whether it the Alvin Bragg, whether it be
in Atlanta, whether it be that that was that case
there Bergdorf Goodman, which was an absolute disaster. People saw this,
people saw, they got ticked off. They got ticked off.
(03:18):
And I called it at that time that this was
by designed send it here. Oh well the video, Hey,
go go back and listen to my old shows. We
called it here that the Democrats wanted Trump to run.
They calculated, wasn't Biden Okay, okay, Biden's not tacked crafty right? Obama? Obama,
(03:42):
because I do believe he was the one that was
running the country when Biden was in office. Obama and
his people basically decided that in order for us to
run continue to run a shadow government, or for us
to continue to run a shadow government under Joe Biden,
(04:04):
we need to we need to have him run against
Donald Trump because we we They felt they felt that Biden,
Biden could beat Trump, that was the one guy that
he could beat. They calculated, they did their polls. They
are fighting against the Santus, bying against it. No, no
(04:26):
way it wouldn't have It would have been a wipeout.
And they did everything that they could, and I think
they got everybody. Ah got Donald Trum people in rage
to mag getam Dowen and basically propelled him into uh
into the Republican nomination. It was because of law Fair.
(04:47):
It was a miscalculation on their part. It was a
miscalculation in their part. You see in Europe they're conducting
law Fair properly. They're they're you know, basically putting people
in jail or outlawing them from running whatever. Anyway, Anyway, Biden,
(05:07):
they didn't allow him to do any interviews, tried to
keep him, try to keep him away from everything.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
People saw it when he spoke. They had their surrogates
out there in the media. Remember Joe Scarborough, this is
the best version of Joe Biden I've ever seen. The
bullshit was flowing. They had their marching orders. We need
to protect Biden, need to protect Biden. All we have
to do is we got to get Biden reelected. Now
you've got stories coming out on how they were prepped.
(05:36):
They were prepped for Kamala Harris to come in and
you know, basically she.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Would have just been a standard bit. Is she won
this time round? You think Kamala Harris was going to
be running the country. No, it was Obama and his
people anyway. Anyway, snapshot in time, we're here, Now, we're
here now, Donald Trump, Donald Trump gets inaugurated. Donald Trump
(06:06):
gets inaugurated, and again popularity the roof through the roof
brings in musk He's got business leaders, the optimism of
business owners, Corporate America through the roof, Gonna get rid
of regulations, Gonna get rid of ten regulations for every
new regulation. We're gonna lower taxes. We're gonna do all
(06:28):
these things. Slam out of brakes, get whiplash, get whiplash
with all of this nonsense, all of and how these
tariffs are being handled. Yes, have we seen seen gasoline
(06:50):
prices come down? People are happy about that. That will
filter through the overall economy. Seeing egg prices came down.
But if you don't think people are concerned, you don't
think people are concerned about what they're gonna be paying
with these tariffs that are coming down the pike. They are,
(07:12):
they are, And I'm here to tell you aside from again,
you know, there's there's the crowd out there, and I
get it. The super magas out there, the super magas
out there, I don't care.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
I'll pay ten dollars, I'll pay twelve dollars for a
couple of eggs.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
I don't care. You're all about it. You gonna get that, okay.
And those that crowd is just as wacky as the
lackos lack of Dow's, you know, lack of Neow's on
the left, wlack of Neowo's on the right, right, both places,
you're gonna have whack of Dow's. They're gonna buy into
anything that this guy says. I get that, but a
lot of people are not a lot of people are
(07:52):
gonna say wait a second and say, you know you're
saying you're gonna be bringing prices down. You said you're
gonna be bringing prices down, and you're gonna tell people
to be patient when tariffs kick in and prices start
going up everywhere. Not gonna work, all right, I don't
(08:19):
care what type of bells and whistles, bullshit Rose garden
ceremony you're gonna be pulling off today. Okay, it's not
going to fly. Okay, it's gonna make life more expensive.
Americans know this, how expensive we'll see And now we're
(08:43):
getting other things as well, where all of a sudden,
well we were told that, okay, gonna, we're gonna we're
bringing tariffs. Tariffs are gonna raise all of this revenue.
And yeah, we're gonna, we're gonna, we're gonna get major
tax cuts that are out there. Today, I heard that
Trump administration is caving to the Blue state Republicans and
(09:05):
they're going to raise the they want to raise the
salt the state local tax deduction from ten thousand to
twenty five thousand dollars. But you know what they're discussing
right now, you got you got the spokesman. Spokesman came
out for the Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith talking
(09:29):
about everything is on the table when it comes to
tax rates. They're basically in his conversation, this is Republicans
right now talking about raising taxes, talking about raising taxes
to pay for the no tax on tips thing. Yeah, yeah,
(09:56):
they'll lose me. You're gonna You're gonna lose me instantaneously
because you freaking lied, you lied. Elon Musk is discovering
all of this waste and fraud and all of this crap,
(10:22):
and you're gonna tell me that I have to pay
for more of that. Okay, Okay, see how that works
out for me. That's a I'm gonna crush him again.
I don't know who's whispering in his ear. I don't
(10:44):
know what type of bs he's I mean, he's gonna
lose people. He's gonna lose people very very quickly. The
reality of the situation is we need to be cutting
spend it. And again we're watching Elon Musk, watching those
(11:05):
do Yeoman's work and finding all this stuff, discovering all
of this stuff, and again, what do we do rather
than make it a part of the continuing Resolution? No,
they didn't. They said, hey, you know, we're going to
wait until September. And again, we already alerted you to
the fact that again, Republicans like a lot of the
(11:26):
spending as well. I've talked about the Green New Deal.
Any Republicans like, yeah, I like all those subsidies. Now, yeah,
we're we're against it when we're on the campaign trail,
but you know, we've got our friends back home that
want those checks and they donate a lot of money
to us. So yeah, you're gonna have to keep all
that stuff up and run it. This is sounds working,
(11:50):
and those people that and many of them, many people
in this country, mister President, held their nose, hell their nose,
and voted for you and wrote and quite frankly without
a doubt, I mean, for crying on a loud your your
your competition. Your competition was Kamala Harris and he can fly.
(12:20):
It ain't gonna fly, and it's going to be your
downfall again. It seems to me that Bess seems to
be some sort of voice of reason, you know, I
see him in various different interviews. It seems to me
that he's making a little bit of sense. This lutnik character,
(12:44):
I'm not I'm not so sure about him. Okay, he
seems to me like a little bit of a sickle
fan is telling telling Donald Trump exactly what he needs
to hear. Maybe hell an he needsier what he wants
to hear, maybe not what he should hear. You've got
(13:04):
Republicans and they are going to raise taxes on people.
They're not going to cut spending. Prices are going to
go up for consumers out there. Republicans will lose in
a freaking landslide in twenty twenty six, they will lose
(13:30):
in a landslide. Tell me the way it is. Okay,
if this again, this is his calcul This might be
his calculation. Okay. Obama got destroyed in the midterms after
he got elected. He got wrecked. Remember this, He got
(13:55):
absolutely wrecked in twenty ten. But he got a lot
accomplished in those two years. He got a lot and
he got a lot of accomplished legislator. Okay, a lot
of what Trump is doing right now is going to
get tossed to the courts. Even all of this terrorist
stuff is dubious at best. He's got an he's calling
(14:20):
it an economic emergency. And how he's allowing him to
put out all these ships. Normally you'd have to go
through Congress. I don't know if it's gonna fly, quite frankly.
So Obama was able to get a lot of stuff
in through Congress. Trump's got a lot of executive orders,
(14:43):
so everything that he's doing right now, quite frankly, could
be undone. These are the famous people. This is this
is what concerned people. Again. Border doing a great job.
I give him that. It was one of the big
items out there they're being a border. They're they're doing
a great job on dealing with the border. But we
(15:06):
get prices start going up, people start having to pay
a lot more for for stuff. You're gonna lose. You're
gonna lose, and you're gonna lose, as you might say,
Big Lee watch dog on Wall Street dot Com
