Chris revisits a longstanding theme of the Watchdog on Wall Street show: calling out liars, crooks, and cheats—wherever they may be found. What began as a focus on Wall Street corruption has expanded to expose political, media, and social media grifters on both the right and left. Markowski warns that many influencers today serve only their personal interests, not the nation’s wellbeing. Drawing on Proverbs, he highlights the timeless dangers of pride, deceit, and discord, and stresses that the fight for truth and integrity matters for future generations. He calls for vigilance against those who profit from division and falsehood. www.watchdogonwallstreet.com

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact that we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
One of my taglines going back twenty five years is
that we at the Watchdog on Wall Street show take
the liars, the crooks, the cheets out behind the woodshed. Yep.
I've been saying that for twenty five years and we
hold true to that. And again, we don't care as
far as politics are concerned. I mean it used to be.

(00:38):
We used to be we were just going after you know,
the Wall Street crooks and frauds and the you know,
the Stratton Oakmont types and all that stuff back in
the day, and then obviously the big brokerage firms as
well or whatever. And then as we continue to do
to show over the years, we got involved more in
main street, more in politics and highlighting all of those liars,

(01:00):
books and cheets. There are a lot of grifters today
in the media, and I'm just talking mainstream media television,
Fox News, MSNBC. It's also on social media as well.
The right, the right has a grifter problem. The left

(01:24):
has a grifter problem. Many of these stars on social media.
Many of these stars on social media are disingenuous people.
They're there to make a buck. Was a couple of
weeks ago here we talked about here in the state

(01:45):
of Florida and how these right wing influencers all of
a sudden getting checks from various different left wing concerns
and they start changing their tune on various different policies.
They care about their bottom line. They're there to make
a living. They're there to make a living. There's a

(02:08):
line and the first Godfather, this is when they were
dealing with Salatso the Turk, and they had that meeting,
and I remember Don Corleone said, he said, you know,
I don't care what a man does, what he does
for a living, as long as his interests don't conflict
with my interests. And I was thinking about this and

(02:32):
thought about that line like I have in the past,
and you know, these people really don't conflict with my
interest but they do. They do. Some people say out,
I'll let them do whatever they want. Doesn't click me,
it does? It matters? I have a vested interest, you
have a vested interest in the well being of this country.

(02:53):
I've got kids, God willing, someday I'm going to have grandkids.
And if you think that these disingenuous media types social
media types out there are helping, they don't. So their
interests do not align with my interests. They will do
or say anything to advance themselves. And the reality is

(03:18):
I didn't want to get into it. I'm doing some
homework on some of these people. A lot of them
hide behind aliases. Find out that these are Jordan Peterson
called them degenerates. Let's let's just say, let's just say,
you know, you wouldn't want them managing your money. You
wouldn't want them to be your doctor, you wouldn't want

(03:39):
them to be your kid's teacher. Let's just leave it
at that, Okay. And I want to get into it,
and I want to share with something. I was reminded
of this today early this morning when I was doing
a bit of my usual studies in the morning's proverbs
from the Bible. Okay, you, the funny thing is this

(04:00):
stuff that the atheists. I said, you know, you'll be
an atheist, but how do you disagree with the things
that they're teaching. And this is Proverbs chapter six, nineteen
sixteen through nineteen listing the seven things that God hates.
Haughty eyes, essentially pride. God doesn't like pride. He doesn't

(04:24):
like arrogance because it leads to looking down on others
and refusing to acknowledge that God's authority. A lying tongue,
lying tongue. God doesn't like a lying tongue. God doesn't
like hands that shed innocent blood. God hates a heart
that devises wicked schemes. God hates feet that are quick

(04:51):
to rush into evil, acting hastily. God hates false witness
who breathes out lies, not just in court people, not
just in court, but in what you do every single day,

(05:12):
how you speak. God hates one who sows discord among brothers.
Creating division in conflict is a destructive act that God hates. Well,
day we today's day in age, today's day in age.
Many of the people that you know, which we look

(05:36):
up to, we watch on TV. Oh, they seem to
do a lot of this, you know, and God willing,
you know, I have this platform here, I try very
very hard, try very very hard to try to put
forth facts, truth, not to not to cause division or

(05:57):
anything like that. But the ultimate goal is to bring
people together, and oftentimes the truth doesn't do that. But
when you're watching the actions of people in today's day
and age and what's going on online and watching what
to do and the plotting and the scheming, again, it's
turned my stomach for a very long time. But it's

(06:19):
something that we we foretold here on the program. Social
Media putting division and discord on steroids, Watchdog on Wall
