Chris blasts House Republicans’ $150 billion Pentagon budget increase, pushing spending over $1 trillion despite a $36 trillion national debt. Agreeing with Rep. Ro Khanna, he criticizes the Pentagon’s failure to pass audits and highlights Elon Musk’s exposure of waste and fraud. Markowski accuses Trump and Pete Hegseth of failing to deliver on promises to cut inefficiencies, calling the hike hypocritical and a betrayal of fiscal responsibility. www.watchdogonwallstreet.com

Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris Markowski.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
You know, I'm consistent. I try to be as consistent
as I possibly can, going after both sides. I hate
government waste, whether it's Republican, whether it's Democrat. We have
railed for a long long time against all of the
nonsensical Pentagon spending, all of the waste, all of the

(00:36):
ridiculous government contracts, the thirty five, one thing after another
after another. And in fact, it wasn't that long ago
where Elon Musk was highlighting some of the waste and
fraud that was taking place in going on at the Pentagon. Well,
I know, again, I don't find myself oftentimes agreeing with

(00:59):
Democratic Congressman from California, Rocanna, but I most certainly agreeing
with him today he made some statements on the floor
basically pointing out the hypocrisy, the fact that the Pentagon
has been completely unable to pass an audit. Again, Elon

(01:22):
Musk highlighted all of the nonsense that taken place at
this point in time. Yet at the same time, again
we're thirty six trillion dollars plus in debt. House Republicans
are going to hike Pentagon spending by one hundred and
fifty billion. This is a part of this big beautiful bill,

(01:48):
another one hundred and fifty billion dollars, putting it over
a trillion dollars a year. Again. You know, you have
your your hopes and you kind of get excited. I
guess when a new administration comes in and they make
certain promises and you hope to see, you know, certain

(02:11):
things cut down size. I know it's easy to get
people all riled up. Way the greatest and biggest military
toughing this up, all this stuff on the police, stop.
Find the money in the budget, go find the money there.
All of this stuff that Elon Musk has been doing,
all this highlighting all of this waste and fraud and

(02:34):
doze savings, Well, you just spent the money. You just
spent it all by increasing the Pentagon's budget again, will
you ever get it under control? And I reminded people,
I know I've talked about this before in the program,

(02:55):
how much we spend on our military in comparison to
other countries around the globe. It's not even close, not
even close. And again, I wouldn't mind as much if
you could actually keep your books straight, but you can't.

(03:16):
And again, this is what you promise to do, missed President.
You and Pete Hegseth jump up down, we're cleaning up.
We're gonna get into Penny. We're gonna find all his
ways for we're gonna take care of the stuff. You
haven't found a damn thing. Musk highlighted a couple of things.
You haven't done anything, and yet you have the the
gall the nerve to come to the American people and

(03:40):
ask for an additional one hundred and fifty billion dollars.
