Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Watchdog on Wall Street podcast, explaining the news coming
out of the complex worlds of finance, economics, and politics
and the impact it we'll have on everyday Americans. Author,
investment banker, consumer advocate, analyst, and trader Chris.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Markowski Republican Losers and healthcare.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
I'm going to take you back in time.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
This was the first Tea Party, first Tea Party event,
when it first got kicked off twosand and nine April fifteen,
two thousand and nine, I gave a speech thousands of people.
This was in southwest Florida, Sarasota. And I started off
my speech and I said, I said listen, I said,
(00:42):
I'm up here.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I'm not here to go after Democrats. Not going to
do it.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
I'm not going after Democrats. I'm not going after Obama.
At least they're honest. At least they are honest in
the sense that when they say they're going to do something,
they do it and they get it done. I'm sick
and tired of Republicans that say they're gonna do something
and they don't follow through. I actually did a piece
(01:09):
on this and talked about this a long time ago.
It was I talked about the size of government, and
I compared it to Steve McQueen's blob nineteen fifty.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Six, bloated by the blood of its victims.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, that's that's government as it continues to get bigger
and bigger and bigger. I'm watching I'm watching these Republican
losers because that's what they are. Yeah, you can that
old song by Beck from the nineteen nineties, I'm gonna
lose a baby, So why don't you kill me? Ye
Republican lose. I'm watching this Don Bacon on with Thomas
(01:43):
Wosey from Long Island. Oh, we gotta worry about to
hear and now that those two want to extend the
Biden Biden Obamacare subsidies for two years. And you know
what's funny is is we're gonna do away. We're gonna
we're gonna put income limits in, and we're gonna do
away with the out of the fraud. How because in
(02:04):
what they're proposing doesn't say anything, doesn't say anything about
doing away anything in regards to income limits, doesn't say
anything in regards to doing away with fraud. We were
even talking about it here on the program. Ninety percent
of the people that putting in fraudulent applications, fake so
(02:24):
secure a no income verification.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
They get subsidies. Oh, you're going to change that all
of a sudden.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
They're saying they're able to deal with that, but they're
saying they cannot deal with the entire problem with Obamacare
in the first place. That's going to take years. Meanwhile, again,
they've had fifteen years to Republicans losers Elle, Yeah, there's
my ace ventur pet detective sub reference Losers. So you
(02:57):
want to extend this? Democrats they want to extend it
for for three years. That's the non compromise position. The
compromise position where I don't know, they got like thirteen
Democrats thirteen soon me thirteen Republicans signed off on this.
They want to extend it for two. Democrats just want
to make it three. Make it three. How about this?
(03:20):
This is what I would do if I was there. So, okay,
you want to extend for three it's gonna cost how much?
How much is it gonna cost to extend for three years?
I tell you what, Let's cut that from someplace else
in the budget. Cut that from someplace else in the budget.
It's that simple, it's that important. It's that important.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
You're the one up.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
But he's gonna fucking loads to happen with my people's
insurance is gonna go up like two thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
They're not gonna afford it. They'll tell you what.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Okay, Fine, Well we're gonna operate like Americans. We the
people have to operate. Oh no, I got a hole
in the roof for my house. I'm gonna fix that.
How much money do I have to budget? Well, you
know what, I can't afford. I'm gonna have to take
it out of our vacation fund. Looks like we can't
go on vacation. But at least we'll fix the roof
(04:10):
on the hohold, the roof of our house. You can't
do that.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Cut somewhere else. Do you want all this money, and
it's a lot of.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Money, a lot of money. You want to hand all
this money to these insurance companies? Cut it someplace else
oute of the budget. Yeah, oh, Republicans, you want this
to cut it out of defense budget.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Let's see you do it now. I didn't think so.
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
You're just gonna print more money, You're gonna borrow more
money and you're gonna put it on my kids and grandkids,
credit card losers, losers and all due respect. Here's another
I'm gonna again. I know I've mentioned this before. Okay,
this is I'm gonna give you real world. Okay, what's
(04:57):
going on? Insurance companies right now? Are how shall I
put this pissing in their pants? Oh yeah, oh yeah,
you don't think that. There's you think the American people?
Oh my ensure, we're looking at these costs and insurance
premiums are gonna go up.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Don't pay it. Sorry, I can't afford it. Well, and
then I can't go.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
No, no, just go, I'm telling you right now, just go,
continue to go, don't pay the bill. What are they
gonna do? What do you do? Illegals do it all
the time. Illegals do it all the time. I'm telling
you right now, you gotta buy it.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
You gotta pay for that. And you know you don't mind.
Don't pay it.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
What do you think is gonna happen to the stock
price of all these insurance companies? But he's just like,
you know what, Yeah, I'm not gonna buy it, not
gonna buy it. Sorry, not gonna do it. No force
their hand. Insurance companies don't allowed that to happen. They're
gonna have to figure something out. They're gonna have to
(06:10):
lower their prices. Oh, they'll hold out for a little bit,
but as that stock price tanks, which it.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Will, they're gonna have to do something. They're gonna have.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
To do something. Let's I'm gonna be perfectly clear, do
your own homework. Trust me on this. Why don't you
go and take a look at the recipients of the
donor money from the insurance companies and their executives and
see where that money goes. See what members of Congress
(06:41):
continue to get massive checks from the health insurance companies.
Oh yeah, it's just gonna flow. It's gonna flow. It
is flowing to them the status quo. Man, they don't
want to change anything. This is again, this is part
of the problem. Okay, And I want you to pay
very close attention. Okay, this is a teachable moment to
many out there. I did my most podcasts a couple
(07:03):
of days ago, talked about the enemy. You know, almost famous.
You're on the left, you're on the right. For the
most part, most part, we want the same things. We
want what's best for our neighbors, are fellow citizens. What
the people in Washington, d C. Have managed to do
(07:27):
is they managed it smart on airport, on their port
and machiavellian type stuff. Okay, uh, get pitting us against
one another, pitting us against one another, and they have
to say that we can save you, they can save you.
They're ripping you off. They're this, they're that, they're the
enemy in DC. They're not there for us, they're not
(07:52):
there to help you. Again, they're going to tell you
that we're looking out for the folks. We're doing all that.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
They're not doing crap.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Okay, Hey, it's it's what it's by design.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
They keep us focused on each other and fighting each
other and watching arguments on Fox News or CNN or msnbcos.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Are the crypt methods day one. Hey what do you
you don't think.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
That the daughter we're having a grand old time for
crying out loud.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
Money keeps flowing, and you take a look.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
At their the net worth of these people, the type
of money that they make. They're glorified influencers for crying
out loud. That's all they are. They're not they're not
there for us by any stretch of the imagination. You
want a New Year's resolution for twenty twenty six, this
(08:55):
would be one of the best things. This would be
great for the country. Okay, stop stop watching political influencers
that are just married to one side. I'm not talking
about actual freethinkers out there, freethinkers equal opportunity batchers.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
And I know I'm biased because I'm one of them.
I'm one of them. When you come to.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
This podcast, you know, it's like the Forrest Gumps box
of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get here
on the program in regards to what direction I'm gonna go,
who I'm gonna back, who I'm gonna go against? What
you are gonna get is I'm gonna be brutally honest.
I'm not gonna take any side. You look at all
these influencers out there. Oh or Scott Jennings is a genior,
(09:39):
so they'm on here and seeing him. He's paid, He
is paid handsomely, handsomely to always back the president no
matter what.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Have you ever heard him not back the president? Yeah
you have.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
That was before he was getting paid to back the president.
You give that guy any credibility? What because he's got
some snide comments. I'm not saying that he's wrong all
the time. He's right, but again he's not a reliable source.
Stop paying attention to those people, stop paying attention to
politicallypers and stop watching the damn debate shows on cable news.
(10:22):
In fact, turn him off, turn him off. How much
better would the country be if they just the ratings
went and the toilet and they just went away, went away.
I know, I'm sure they'd have to probably manufacture some
scandal or some war somewhere to get people paying attention
again and glued to the TV.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
You know, it was funny. I just thought about this.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
There was a there was a Simpson episode, Simpson episode
years ago where they had all of the network's heads
meeting because they were trying to get ratings and they
are all some of the shark is sold out. They
came up with I kid you not cat flu, cat flu,
and great Simpsons episode, but again it was basically playing
(11:06):
saying this is what they do.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Don't allow them. Okay, you're you're allot, You're you're letting.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Them live in your head. Okay, you want to make
the country better. I think most of us do. Most
of us do most of them frustrated with what goes
on in Washington, DC. Local local, I don't. I don't
turn on, okay, but I don't turn lose. What's the
(11:34):
point little cable news. I watch CNBC in the morning.
That's it, squawk Box, that's it. And again they got
three anchors up there. And you know, you got a
guy that's on the right, got Becky Quick was the
best female in the country by far, and you got
Andrew Ross Sorkin, who's on the left, decent human being,
(11:58):
good guy, and they have debates and they talk about things,
they have different opinions, and it's okay, it's best best
by thought.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
There's nothing better you're gonna watch. Watch Squawkbox.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
I know a lot of people are not into the business,
but they cover a bit of everything, and I always
agree with it. But it's still the best. There's nothing
better out there Fox and Friends. You know, in between
them kissing Trump's ass at this point and time and
having some barbecue gude commercial outside. I mean, come on,
I don't want to lose brain cells. It's either that
or I watch my local news. I going to old school.
(12:26):
I watch what's the local news? Pay attention to what's
going on in your community. I know this veered off track.
He's talking about healthcare, but again it's part for the course,
for everything, for everything. This is who these people are.
And it was you know again, oh, veer again, veer again.
(12:49):
I give credit to Ron DeSantis and again it's it's
a no brainer. You know what Rond de Santas was
pushing for again yesterday. Term limits.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
That's right. Term limits. Not in the state of Florida.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
He's termed out as governor, but national members, Congress, everything.
Term limits. I've talked about this for years and again
it's not just termed out of the House of the Senate.
You need to be turned out of Washington, DC. Yeah,
you need to leave. You need to get the hell out.
(13:26):
That's right. Ten years, that's that's my thing. You get
ten you get a decade. You get a decade. You
can I don't care. Ten years you can be in
the House being the Senate. Wow, you know that. That's
eight years right there. You run for the presidence. You wait,
I'm sorry, you got two years.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
You gotta leave. That's it.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
That's all you get. Ten years, go home, get yourself
a real job. You stay there for too long. Yeah,
it's uh, you all get attracted to that ring of power.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
You know. Tolkien was onto something there.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
The process, process, and again it's all about power, all
about power, and again making yourself enormously wealthy. Watch Dog
on Wall Street dot Com
