(00:00):
This is Conversate with Us with KrisDonovan and Eveline Revas. We'll look at
us. We had a potty break. This is an audible podcast. Nobody
can look at us evil? Andwhy do you keep saying that every time
this podcast? Because I'm looking atyou and I'm like, look at us,
about us. I'm doing a PaulRed thing where I'm looking at you,
(00:21):
going look at us, look atus. We're doing two in a
row. Oh, don't step onthe little guy. Look at us,
Paul. Always look out for thelittle guy. Always. I see I
screwed it up. I know Idid screw it up. Every damn word.
Anyway, Hi, Hey, we'rehere again. Yes, and we
were. Um, I get tobrag a little bit, hearing a bit
about how I have you know,my job's doing okay and I actually get
(00:43):
to have perks and stuff. Sonnabrag a little bit. Yeah, Oh
this is gonna be fun. Let'sgo ok But we went to Knots last
night and we had some amazing foodand we've got out some cool rides and
we're gonna talk about in the secondwe are We're not starting with food mumbling
changed our We're at Christopher a lotin the flow we're getting into right now,
right now, Yes we are, because we're backing everybody. I know
(01:06):
it's teasing that I'm teasing that we'retalking about what food? What a tease?
Should we go to? Right now? Right now? Okay, what's
yours? Let's go. So yourson wanted to keep our murderous duck.
Yes, he And that's not afalse statement. I'm saying that out of
the I don't know the easiest words. That makes it sound like it's not
(01:29):
going to kill everyone. So ifyou don't know, we have a chicken
coop and we have two ducks, and we had we started with eight chickens,
inherited five more. That turned itinto three tea three three three more,
that turned into eleven, and thenwe had two ducks. Well,
that duck is a jerk and likesto kill things and killed a couple of
our chickens. Yes, we're he'sin total dhead and uh continuously, Uh,
(01:55):
I think violates the female duck. We're not sure, but we we
can't. We don't speak ducks.Do not sure if she's telling us please
get him away from me, oror I like it that we can't.
We can't tell. It seems veryaggressive when ducks sue it, so it
feels wrong. But my son hassaid to us, he googled it.
(02:17):
You're gonna say, oh my god, oh Jesus kid. My son said,
look, Mom, calm down, calm down. I look this up
and this is how ducks do it. And I was like, clear your
cookies. Yeah. I'm like,I'm like, go through in and delete
(02:38):
all your cash, delete your entiresearch history, because I am very concerned
about you. I'm going into ourrouter right now and deleting all the history
that's on that side. We don'tneed that people worrying about how ducks do
it, because eventually, as you'regonna start popping up on our TVs and
(03:00):
it's gonna be like, its gonnabe catered to what we look at,
mating animals mating like somebody's at yourhouse. They're like, yeah, yeah,
go team. Oh do I wantto buy a new nine millimeter pistol?
Wait? Why is that a what? What like an ad on the
TV? Why is that an addedfor ducks? I don't know. I'm
just saying like, eventually, timeout. Oh, that's what I'm saying.
(03:22):
Like, eventually, Christopher, youdid that all weekend. People's search
histories are gonna show up on adson their TV in front of people,
and people are gonna start getting embarrassed. Oh yeah, ours would be about
ducks doing it. That's not gungun That's what I'm saying. We need
to delete that so nobody sees theduck doing it part. Okay, Ours
(03:43):
is gonna be what Star Wars,Marvel it always for Amazon flawless. Mind's
always about weight loss? Yeah right, how to get a buzz without alcohol.
I'm starting to get more and moreads for more and more ads for
(04:06):
motor homes because we've been talking aboutit. Ye stop listening, but yes,
uh yeah, we had to buildpart of the chicken coop out a
little bit so the ducks could uhbe taken by owls. Time timeout,
We need to backtrack, Okay,we do. No, you're you're right,
(04:27):
You're right. We did have todo. Our son found out that
we were going to get rid ofthe duck. Okay, we were going
to get rid of the mail duck, and we couldn't decide how to get
rid of him, which should weeat him? Should we take him to
the golf course time out. Thereason we had to build a separate coop
(04:49):
for him and her is because webought ten new chickens. Correct, we
did not bring that up. Webought ten new chickens. And now there
you were not getting there. Youwere way away from there, and we,
(05:10):
oh, I'll fight you while we'rerouting. The lasting podcasts are gonna
get real rough. So we thebabies they grew, they're big, they're
big babies. Now they're not babiesanymore. They're like full grown. That's
what they are. You going there, they try to kill you, their
assholes. Yeah, maybe we shouldlet the duck go in. There's such
jerks and honestly, honest, kindof fun to let them. It'd be
(05:31):
like Chicken Duck thunder Dome. Wecan put on Tina Turner in like respect.
Yeah, we put it on asa tribute to her as our ducks
and chickens try to go to killanother heron. I don't know if it's
that one, but that's a goodYeah, I think it is, is
it? I think this is anyway? So the point would be is now
(05:54):
we needed to give those babies morespace, and there was no space in
their small coop. And they wereafraid the duck was going to kill them
if we would let them go inthe big coop. And we couldn't allow
that, because well we could. We loved eggs. One less chicken,
one less egg a day. Ijust gotta get rid of the duck.
All I was going to take upthe park and let it going to the
wild where it's supposed to be.No, I guess a mallard, it's
(06:14):
not a domesticated duck. It's areal live duck. Well that said duck,
I sound like an idiot. Wow, you are having how many bad
things are going to say? It'snot it's not a white duck. Then
sounds racist because you'd only saved thewhite duck now because it smelt bad and
(06:35):
we didn't want to take care ofit anymore. Wow, it lived on
its own. I'm learning a wholelot right now about what's your right now
right now. No, we're notfinished, Yes we are. We're talking
about the coup. We're done. And it built out the chickens coop a
little bit so the ducks could livein one little area and the chickens can
all live in one other area. And it was all because my son said,
(06:58):
please don't get rid of our murderousduck. Yes, the hardest part
is the pond we had with thepond her oldest daughters. That's because she's
tried to make that she doesn't takecare of the animals, so whatever she
doesn't, she says, are gonnasay, anyway, what's your right now
(07:18):
right now? My mind took fortyseven hours, actually three minutes. My
right now right now actually does stillhave to do with the metal sun?
The middle sun? Is that whatyou cat our middle kid? He's he's
our daughter, was off Mike andshe was screaming like the middle child thunder.
Okay, Aiden is doing summer schoolfor the first time ever. Well,
(07:45):
yeah, because he's actually in schoolthat matters. No, Yeah,
so he is a freshman, he'llbe a sophomore. And this school year
has been fine, but there havebeen challenges, and if you've listened to
this podcast, Evelyn's right over manyof these challenges. And I had to
say that since first grade said, since, I'd have to say that Evelyn
and I have different views on schoolfor sure, very different, terribly different,
(08:13):
heartbreakingly different go on. So itstresses around a little bit more than
Aiden's going to summer school. No, no, that part doesn't stress me
out. No no, no,no, no, that part doesn't stress
me out. It seemed too earliertoday when we're talking. It's not stressing
me out that he's going to goto summer school. What stresses you out,
(08:33):
then he's completing it. So no, any completing any course of schoolwork
stresses me out. With Aiden,my beautiful, amazing, smart son,
going to school and completing school, the same thing. No, no,
I was down with him going tosummer school, like that's fine, because
(08:54):
every time I've ever gone to summerschool it was to get ahead or like
to do a class that I didn'twant to do during the school year.
That would be never a problem. You're an idiot. Summer is not to
go to school. For the record, I am definitely not an idiot.
And I had three classes my senioryear. Much I know, I took
a full load my senior year toworry about it. My senior year was
(09:16):
fun. I had three classes,it was the greatest, and it was
senior class president, and I justdid all the fun things and didn't have
to freaking worry about school because Itook summer school. And it was so
easy, and I passed all myclasses with days in summer school because summer
schools easier anyway, that's the that'sthe thing they don't tell you. Taking
(09:39):
summer school is easier than taking theregular school. I don't think. I
don't think. I don't think it'seven comparable to twenty years ago to now.
I think you need to not aigeme anymore. And I'm I would
be nice talking about Christopher laden Slugger. I'm just saying, like, oh,
my two podcasts in a row,I've called you Christopher Lauden's log.
(10:03):
Well, don't do that because thenthe cops will find me. Don't think
you're the cousin that's most wanted. He is a sense sober and being amazing
and not and not most wanted, and honestly it's been really hard for him.
So oh, I'm sorry so thatI take it back. I take
it back, I take it back, but anywhere I'm well sorry, I
(10:24):
trust your opinion. No, Ijust don't know where I was going with
this, because you confused me threetimes. I'm trying to figure it out.
We were talking about about summer schooland how twenty oh yeah, twenty
years ago. He didn't. He'snot. I know. It's there were
computers. There wasn't a pandemic. There was computer There wasn't the internet.
There was Yeah, I know,I know what I'm saying. There was
(10:46):
online learning and all that. Soall this is different. So he the
thing you're worried about is this wholehe has to be plugged in online from
this time to this time or gunthis here. School has never been that
strict ever, Okay, I understood. So he has to do summer school
(11:07):
because the two classes he didn't passare actually hilarious. You don't have to
call him now and we'll say itdidn't pass two classes? Well yeah,
but it was stand up comedy, and clearly why you know what stand up
comedy he didn't pass because obviously ittook up bad teaching from his dad.
(11:28):
I'll take it. I take cookingbecause his mom, I mean, I
mean er blue apron well, whichwe'll talk about on her next Look at
that tease, Look at you again. My shirt is look at us,
(11:48):
look at us. Are you goingto finish? Okay? Yes? Um,
so anyway, my point is sharpthe clock. I love Springs Charter
schools. They're great, but Ihate their PE program. I think it's
the stupidest thing I've ever heard inmy life. Yeah, especially when there's
no outside of the school. Hesaid, we're going to Disneyland event going
(12:11):
to Disneyland. I don't even know. That's picked up on our microke.
We're recording a podcast. Shut up, and we're talking about you. So
shut up, get out of hereso we can be candid, not to
worry about what you think. Sowe're talking about aiden still with them in
the room. Nah. No,So PE they offer a physical stop.
(12:39):
So they offer a physical PE athis school. Okay, but it doesn't
count for credit. Yeah, sohe did the physical PE and he's also
expected to do the online PE.I have a question, and the online
PE he didn't complete. Quick question, so he failed PE, which is
(13:00):
quoe question trash. What does PEstand for physical education? Which he freaking
did? Is my point? Okay, so do we see he missed ten
credits? Do we see the wasit catch twenty two or the conundrum or
the it's not a catch, it'sa conundrum, or the sure we can
(13:20):
say it's a CONUNDR system. Yeah, it's actually just um and seriously,
and is principles, the one thatincorporated the physical activity because it wasn't there
at all because they had none. And that's okay. And that's okay because
when we sent him there, weknew like that might be a thing.
But he enrolled. He was like, no, I'm going to do the
physical education, thinking he would getcredit for it, and he never did.
(13:43):
And so there's one of the classeshe has to take for summer school.
The other one is Visual Arts, which we both loathe. Yeah,
because because I tried to help himwith the theory. Have you not seen?
He loves drawing, but he doesnot like the tedious assignments that they
gave. And I'm not gonna lieI don't either, but whatever. Yeah,
(14:05):
well I can tell you right nowthat he has did do both those.
The only the only class I evergot anything less than a C was
in Intro to Draw. Isn't thatfunny? Yeah? Isn't that funny?
It's always the classes you think thatyou should ace. Why am I?
For the record, our son passedAlgebra one, English, English, Science,
(14:28):
Science, all the fish three hepassed them. Physics definitely, not
in those how to build your House? He did sim City four, seventy
four adulting one on one. Iwill give you that. No, Yeah,
he passed all these other ones, but he didn't get nearly the credits.
He needed it. And if you'vebeen a part of our journey for
(14:48):
the last Brazilion episodes, you know, and if you've ever watched me online
or any of that, you knowthat our son learns differently, as many
kids too. Our daughters tend tolearn differently than our son does. It's
like it's weird, like everyone looksdifferently. And I have fought and fought,
(15:11):
and the reason we put him ina charter was because of the whole
situation. He was falling through thecracks. They wanted to get more help.
So this is not a new thing. It's been since first grade.
We have him on medication, hesees a therapist, all these things.
He knows it. He's the greatestkid you'll ever meet. He's a very
(15:31):
freaking cool kid, and he's verysmart, and he knows he's sincere.
He's sincere. He'll tell you straightto your face, here's where I'm struggling,
here's or not. If you're evercutting his hair, you'll know it's
him because he'll talk to you thewhole. Oh, he'll tell you the
whole. He'll tell you of hiswhole life. He loves talking. It's
so awesome. When I'm sitting theregetting a haircut, i don't talk to
my haircut person because I'm listening tohim doctor to his and I'm just laughing
(15:56):
the whole time about the stuff thathe through one place to another. But
yeah, he is is amazing. That's why his podcast does so well.
Yeah it does, which we needto get him doing again because we can't
afford a video games, so wegot we need some more video games to
(16:18):
talk about. I want right now. It's like a one hundred bucks I
can't afford. It just came outtwo weeks ago, so we gotta wait.
But like, yeah, so anyway, that's the whole thing. So
my whole point is not to harpon this too much. Is I'm really
proud of him from the school yearbecause he passed the classes he should have
freaking passed and he did, andhe put his all his effort into those
and some of these little hinge fringeI should hinge fringe classes that should have
(16:42):
been easy, he did not do, yes very well, exactly like elected
and stuff, but I can alsoadd to that just because you know,
I like to. He started offvery slow, so immediately we were like
three months behind. So for himto come back to the way he did
is even. It's really good. It's great. He's always been a closer,
(17:03):
if you notice, because even lastyear he won all those awards at
the end of the year and wewere so proud of him, and we're
like, I guess that's true becauseI yelled at him last weekend. I'm
like, okay, if you don'tcome out here right now and clean this
chicken coop pond and move it,then we're the murderous duck is out.
The duck's gone. And he cameout and he started scrubbing. He brought
(17:25):
it out, he emptied it out, he shoveled it out, he washed
it out, and then he's like, I'm gonna get a sponge and scrub
it. You don't have to dothat. He it was, I'm gonna
do that. I mean, like, okay, he's closing. He's a
closer, all right. The kidknows the attention to detail, all right,
are so cool. Dang, thatwas a lot of what's like right
now, right now, about tenminutes. All right, what are we
talking about. We're going into knotsLet's talk about knots. Let's talk about
(17:47):
food. Food. So okay, you have got to go to Knotsbury Farm.
Uh, it just kicked off.Well, I guess this week.
I don't know when we're putting thisepisode out. Oh yeah, it would
have been the week of around Yeah, so Memorial weekend basically because we're okay,
we're prerecording FYI because we're trying tomake sure that we give you your
(18:07):
content to deserve. So anyway,we went to the preview night for and
this was so fun. The FiestaVillage So if you've been to Kotsbury Farm,
you know the Fiesta Village area. They have fun rides. There's the
Dragon Swing and Revolution and all theserings make me want to go the swing
(18:30):
swings. Everything Chris doesn't like ridewise and goes in circles is in that
area. But everything the kids loveand I do is in that area.
As the roller coasters there ye,and that's always been there. Yeah no,
but that's that's in the same area. Yeah. So they what they
(18:51):
did was they revamped the whole area. So before we get into like all
of that. We're going to talkabout the food that we had, because
that was the first thing we didwhen we got there. Because when you
walk in, immediately there stands andone have food, there's a game and
stuff. There's tony people in lineof really good food there now. So
I have never I've always only knownKnotsberry Farm for their Boisonberry Festival, which
(19:15):
I can think of like the funnelcakes and the poisonberries, and they have
a lot of like poisonberry drinks andall these things. Different food, very
good. The other thing I loveabout Knoxberry Farm is the chicken because they
have. Oh and I've been tothe restaurant that's outside the park, so
good, super good. And obviouslythe rides, Okay, that's food number
(19:40):
one, rides number second, Scaredup for sure, number three, Yeah,
because scary is always fun and notscary farm. They do it.
They do it right. So wego to this and they give us some
tickets and get full disclosure. Obviouslywe were invited to this event. Yeah,
this is where I get, thisis where you get to go ahead
(20:03):
with my new gig. I thisis one of my first perks being that
I'm you know, promotion the peopleover at hot one of three nine.
I got invited to the preview ofthe Fiesta Village in Knots Very Far in
which we were at Knots I wantto say, a couple of years ago,
and they had it all boarded up, and we know, a couple
of years ago. How long agois this scary farm? Oh? We
went October. In October, wewent, took the two kids. Yeah,
(20:26):
it was still boarded up and wewent and we're like, okay,
cool, what is it gonna begreat to see? And then we were
invited. I'm like, this isso cool, let's go. Remember when
the walls were up, We're likeyeah. And the only ride we could
get on really that Cassie wanted toget on was we got on Revolution and
Aid refused. Yes, this iswhat I remember about that. But but
everything was really boarded up because theywere remodeling everything correct and we're refreshing everything.
(20:49):
So with the new gig, Igot invited tickets to bring my family.
Yeah, and so I got tobe his. I got to believe
be a plus three. Yes,she was a plus I mean, I
mean she was the plus one fat, but I mean, you know,
and two more people because they saidyou can get three tickets. Okay,
but she's doing daughters. So Ijust, you know, Cassie to the
(21:10):
fire station and then no, butwe but yes, I get to bag
that. I yes, this isone of the persons. Julian and Aden
came with us. Cassie went todance. Yeah she didn't go. But
it's all reimagined. Everything's painted superbright, super gorgeous. We walked through.
It was so bright and vibrant. In the first stand we hit has
a huge line and it was likewas this what this was like a drink
(21:33):
or like I want to say,it was like a was this att Yeah,
it was like a pineapple MEETSI Lattaand and tacos. The lady at
the very beginning, she had likea stand that she was selling these beautiful
paintings. Her name was Ronnie.I will remember this. That is a
very Mexican name, Veronica. Butshe signed all her artwork Ronnie, and
(21:55):
she said that she she told meall these things about her wonderful artwork.
And she said she does all ofthese and her dad does she does the
demos, and then her dad doesall the portraits. And they were beautiful.
All of it was beautifultures. Andshe said most of the stuff in
her stand was like nine was fromher family, handmade, and I thought
(22:15):
that was incredible. So I wasI'm talking to her and we're looking at
her artwork. She goes, okay, but when you go in there,
when you go in there, thefirst thing you gotta have is garnea saw
the fries. Yeah. So wewere like, whatever Ronnie says, we're
gonna go do. And that wasthe first thing we went got. And
it was smart too, because wewere like, Okay, well they're gonna
walk by. Oh, that standsgot a long line. That stands got
(22:37):
a long line. That stands gota long line. Oh where the carne
fries there? Oh? Two people? Awesome, get as many as you
want. Oh hell yeah. Theywere so good. They were so good.
So again preview night you they weregiving us all the Yeah, they
weren't massive meals, but they weregiving us to try and it was like
(23:00):
it was it was like potato wedges. It was it wasn't like French fries.
Kind of loved Joe potatoes. Itwas so good. It was like
if you go to Shaky's Pizza. It was like Shaky's fries or like a
Delia or a grocery store. Ohyeah, if you go to the grocery
store and you get the wedges.Yeah. And then I had the carne
on it. It had a littlebit of a sour cream. It wasn't
sour cream. Was the Caesa sauce. It was a Casa sauce. Because
(23:22):
it was all over my fingers. It was so good, you're right,
so yummy. So that's why Iwent back and made aiden get another one.
You just blew my mind. Andthe reason you blew my mind is
because I didn't get the case ofsauce on the Chipotle looking on. I
did, but I should have becauseI was thinking that what we had was
sour No, it was. Itwas the Casa sauce, and it was
really really good. It was warmer. That's the only thing I wish like
(23:47):
it was super hot on there, because that would be like getting them super
fresh, because you know how likecheese when it's melty, it's good and
it's like super But by the way, it was really yummy, super good.
That was really good. Yes,And then we were lucky enough because
we blew by all the earlier stands. We found this stand very in the
far back. Yeah, that wasthe tac Idea that had shrimp taco.
(24:10):
Yeah, they had shrimp. Ithink Takido's too, right, we didn't
try those, the shrimp tacos. And then then a vegan option was there
was mushrooms. Wait, so theyhad tacos and oh that was it was
just it was just it was justshrimp tacos and the vegan option. Yeah,
the mushrooms didn't realize that far inthe back too. They were smart.
They put the shrimp that's expensive farin the back, so everybody got
full before they go back there. We went got that did so that was
(24:33):
my favorite meal. Down two tacos. Uh, I got two down.
They were so yummy, they werethe best. It's your like God's on
his truth. Again, we're notgetting paid to say this, but we
did get to go o for free. The the shrimp tacos are totally worth
Gettings also worth getting. You're goingto get a bigger size, so I'm
(24:55):
sure it's yeah, yeah, I'mnot. I mean the size pretty full
because I was like, I can'teat anymore. Then I got a shrimp
taco and I said I really can'teating more. And then I got another
shrimp, so I couldn't do thecorndered tea anymore. And I was just
like, I'm eating all They wereso fresh too. I always forget how
good cabbage is. Oh yeah,in like any kind of like fish taco.
(25:18):
Yeah, any kind of fish orshrimp bed of any type of fish
or meat. Yeah, it justact it's extra crunchy. It's better than
lettuce. It's so good it is. You have dessert. I didn't,
but I think Juline had the flaw. They had this whole display that had
like flon and other assortments. Yeah, they had these pinwheel cookies. I
(25:41):
didn't have any. You know howI met drank We drank ours. I
will tell you yet, one ofthe best margarita is I've ever had in
my life. I end up havingtwo of them. Um. It was
a hibiscus hibiscuits. It sounds likea type of insulation, it does,
but it's not. Thank god, hibiscus margarita strong. I asked the lady
(26:04):
when we were getting up there,we got to get two drinks. What
did you ask her? What wasthe words you asked? I'll tell you
in a second. Tell me rightnow. I'm telling you right now,
but I'm trying to get to thispoint. We had two drinks each that
we could get for free, andthen we you know, we could buy
the rest after that. So Itell the lady, I'm like, what
is your favorite? And she goesthe hybiscus margarita and I said, give
me that one, I said, and she'd give it to me, and
(26:26):
then we said God bless you,and I drank it and I was like,
this is so good. So Igo back with my next ticket,
and I feel like, because it'sa preview night, they brought us to
try other things. So I said, okay, I'm going to try something
else. Would you like they gota cucumber margarita or whatever. I was
like, what's got the most alcoholin it? She goes the hybiscus margarita
(26:49):
and I was like, damn,I already tried that. How much is
that? And they're like seventy sevendollars but I could have gotten two of
those for free, and I waslike, no, I better try a
different for So, how did youget cucumber margarita? Which tastes like cucumber?
Was great? It actually was reallygood for refreshing, very refreshing,
(27:11):
very light, not overpowering every somethingyou slept sit by the pool, especially
because I don't like very sweet sweetthings. Yeah, and that was really
good. So what happens later wego back to the bar, I might
give me one of those hibiscus maga. Is it weird that she was tapping
her wrist the whole time? Iwas like, give me another one right
(27:33):
now? In my veins, Iwas it not the wrist of the inside
of the elbow. I did notat all tap me right now, tap
it in. I knew what youwere saying. And then they were like,
what you got one eighteen bucks? But I'm guessing no park right now
is expensive though. But the previewcups were smaller than the big cups because
once I started buying beer, thecups size which actually the Mexican logger they
(27:57):
had and there was really good.Yeah, you got that a few times
in seventeen, like five four hundredand twelve. No, I had like
five beers because they give us thetwo. You had a lot more beers.
I only had three drinks. That'sbecause you guys were going on rides.
Was watching. I was trained asa throw up. Should we get
to that end. Yeah, let'stalk about the The rides were great.
(28:17):
They called them refreshed. There wereseven attractions, one same rides, same
rides that were always there. Theyre painted them. Everything is so vibrant,
super bright, beautifully vibrant. Yeahit's neat. It's not neon,
but it's that bright deo days lowsomeway outdoors. Those colors, yeah,
(28:38):
like the bright fiesta type colors.Yeah, and they had those monsters all
over the places. The guides goahead, Okay, yes that's what she
said. That didn't work out. What are you talking about, guy?
Yes, I took watched Coco.Yes, but I didn't realize that's what
they were until right now. Actually, I just Eden tried telling you three
(28:59):
times last night. Well, heon and off all of his rides that
he went on. Yeah, butwe tried telling you last night, and
you kept going monsters, those monstersthat are there, No, dude,
those are spirit guys. You're notjust here. I had three more bears
than you did. You're right. So Chris only got on a couple of
rides with us, and that wasbefore we went into the private party.
(29:21):
I got on roller coasters, beforewe went in. Okay, so we
went on a roller coaster that Icould never have seen my son ever get
on, at least not yet.Is this I don't know what? I
riptide? No, no, whatis it? I don't know what?
Yeah, I went straight out.So we talked him into it. We
(29:41):
get in the line because there wasno line, and we're like, aiden,
you gotta get on this. He'slike, no, I don't know.
That's a lot of loops, andlike he's he's gotten on the end
Credit coaster at Disney. He cando a loop. But I think it
looked overwhelming because there's so many loopsright all in the same directions. Looks
confused. It's just onstant So he'slike, I don't know, I don't
(30:02):
know. I don't think so whenyou're like, nope, you have to.
We didn't bring Cassie, you,Juliane, me and Dad. We're
doing this like we're not leaving anybodybehind. Okay, no one's no one's
sitting off here. It's all grown. This is the OG four. It's
like we're getting on the OG four. The OG four is getting on this
(30:26):
ride. We're in the Marines rightnow. We're like, no, one's
left behind. Nobody gets off onthe trap, so we all go and
he's like okay, and he startshyping himself up and he's like, I'm
gonna get on it. And I'mlike, okay, yeah, he's in.
He's in that kid, we geton that ride. I'm more scared
than he is. Yeah. Iwas so freaking scared of that right,
(30:47):
because it's like you lay on yourback to go straight up into the sky,
and that is not my vibe. And Eveleen looks at this little kid
in front of her that's in therow in front of her, and this
kid was probably eight eight probably yeah, telling off of course, and she's
like, well, and I lookover eight and I go, you little
a little nervous. Andy goes yeaha little and I go okay. And
(31:07):
then we got off. He goesso right, And you know that,
you know that feeling of doing somethingthat you're scared about and then you're so
excited about it afterward. And Iremember feeling that way at like Magic Mountain,
you know, like when I goton Viper, the first time time
you get on a roller coach forthe first time. Viper was the very
(31:30):
first ride I ever got on as. That was an upside down ride and
if you've ever been on Viper, that right looks scary as hell because you
go so high. It's the highit was at that time the highest point
in that. Now they have likenow they have like fifty other rides.
But then I was twelve. Itwas to two loops and it was featured
(31:51):
in Pee Wee Herman. I think, so, I don't know it was
so anyway. So Aiden was soabout it, right, he was so
excited about it. After we gotoff, we're we're excited. So we
get we go on a couple oflittle rides, and then we go to
the private party. Aiden is achanged person. It was funny. He
was a changed man for two reasons. One he did those early coasters too.
I said, hey, Aiden, yes, you're this age, you
(32:15):
can you have a phone? Right? Yeah? Cool? You know where
that that a table was when wewalked in. Yeah, don't go past
that area. Go get on whateveryou want to do, have fun.
Everything's free. And he goes, what wait what there was? And there
was nobody getting on rides, nobody'sgetting rights. They were all watching the
shows, which were pretty No,they were great, but they were it
(32:36):
was okay, it won't be real. Influencer culture is really kind of crazy,
and it was a lot of influencers, and everybody wanted to put on
their own show. And my owndaughter and I were laughing the entire drime,
like, how about go experience thelife right, go and get on
this stuff. So my kids wereon those rights. Aiden got on Revolution,
(32:59):
which he would nut get on inHalloween three times, and he was
all about it, and him andhis sister went and Juline and and went
and got on Jaguar and then thenwe went, Okay, we're gonna go
do the dragons. He loved it. I had never heard that noise come
out of his mouth before. Icould maybe when he's little. I was
(33:22):
dying laughing because he was screaming andhe was like, this is ter and
it was so funny. I couldnot stop laughing. I couldn't even catch
my breath. I thought I wasgonna die on that ride. I'm not
gonna lie. It was so fun, though, because it was for me.
It was fun watch that circle rightthere on that little courtyard where I
(33:44):
was standing. It was fun forme to watch him experience experience it,
and it was really fun for meto watch him be the photographer for his
older sister and her Instagram. Justkidding you pay him for that? I
think paid with love? Is hepart of the U s WGA? Does
(34:05):
he need to? Yeah? Screenwriters? I don't know what is the screenwriters
Guild. No, here's what happened. Cassie wasn't available now to be a
personal go on that night, andhe and Julie was like, guess what,
Aiden, you're my Cassie happen. But here's what's funny is Aiden now
has an Instagram right, and hewas posting his own pictures. I was
(34:29):
like, okay, Aiden, hewas living his own little life on Instagram,
and it's super fun. I lovethem at this age. I think
it's I wish they wouldn't grow up, but it's so fun to see them
at this age where they're in theirown but they're gonna d up and get
out, but not soon enough.Get out and get out. No,
you don't know. You could stayas long as you want. Oh yeah,
(34:51):
you can stay and stay in thebackyard. No, don't listen to
know he's lying. If you listento this podcast, Mommy will never kick
