Speaker 2 (00:05):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
We've had our terrible weekend this weekend with mass shootings,
but I'd like to start off with something happy. I
would like to wish Dick Van Dyke, legendary actor, comedian, dancer, singer,
a happy one hundredth birthday on the thirteenth.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I missed that one over the weekend. That being said,
there's a lot that's been going on. Well, Brad, I
guess you were correct. The Vikings had that one percent
chance of making the playoffs, and.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Despite the win last night, of.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Which one I woke up this morning, I was very
surprised to see alas it was not enough given their
dismal season up until this point.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Welcome to Monday.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Hey, Twin Cities News Talk AM eleven thirty one oh
three five FM from the six' five to one Carpet

five AS i posted online this, morning not That i'm keeping.

Speaker 5 (01:14):

Speaker 4 (01:19):
COUNT i think if my wife had a nickel for
every Time i've mentioned how Much i'm looking forward to,
vacation she could probably go and take a vacation of her.
Own brett's will be in the master control booth for
the remaining of the week since everybody else bailed on.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Me very happy though to Have brett with. Us good, Morning.
BRETT i know you had a busy. Weekend i'm. Good i'm.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Well. Nice i'm getting out of.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
It, nice gonna go to gonna head on over to
some warm some warm.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Weather almost crashed the car.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Yesterday, really, yeah it wasn't bad, Bad it was enough
to freak me.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Out.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
THOUGH i went to a h there was a holiday
party For Representative Tom, memmer and so it was funny
BECAUSE i had Dropped melinda off at the at the
front doors to the event hall where we went, to
and because there was so much ice on the, ground
so you, know she's wearing high heels and was very
concerned for her. Safety So i'm driving the car AND

(02:24):
i go to park, it And i'm coming in at
an angle AND i went to break to slow As
i'm making the turn into the, spot and the car
just kept on sliding and just was just there's a.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Truck truck's getting, closer hope please.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Stop and THANKFULLY i had about two or three inches.
There so, yeah and this is the brand new this
is this is the this is the this is the.
KEYSTINGERY i would have, THAT i would have been very.
Sad that would have made me very. Sad on the
show this, Morning Andrew, langer president of The institute For.
Liberty he's. Traveling we will let you know where he's.
Traveling got a number of different issues that we'll be

(02:58):
talking about with. HIM a few of those wellick things
off with this morning on the. Show we'll recap later
On Governor Tim walls and his press conference last week
announcing his fraud prevention, program which was as ridiculous and
unnecessary as you would. Expect we've got a lot of
clips to share Of Governor Tim, walls a lot of

(03:18):
clips to go and bring some rational commentary to his
nonsensical word.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Salnce he's very good at.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
THAT a lot of immigration talk continue controversies from over the.
Weekend we will get into that as well also later
on this, hour and we'll talk about this more With Andrew.
Langer Rob reiner and his wife found stabbed to death
and Their, Brentwood california. HOME i saw the story WHEN
i woke, up AND i thought it was one of
those clickbait, articles like, Really Rob ryner his wife. Stabbing,

(03:52):
nope sure. Enough the rumor is that it was one
of his sons that perpetuated. This apparently he was dealing
with drug, issues mental health, problems. Holmemlessness so we'll talk
a little bit more about that And Rob ryder's background
coming up later on in the. Hour and of, course
these horrific attacks that took place over the. Weekend we

(04:13):
had The Brown university. Shooting they had a suspect in.
Custody they have released. Him we'll get to this in
just a, moment but we'll start. Here this horrific terrorist
attack on A Jewish honukkah Celebration Bondie beach In, Sydney,
australia killing at least. Sixteen the initial story THAT i
had for today's show had that at. Eleven that's now

(04:36):
been increased to. Sixteen, tragically authority say that it's the
deadliest Anti semitic attack since The Hamas october seventh massacre In.
Israel the shooting occurred as roughly two thousand people were
gathered to celebrate the first night Of. Hanuka police say
the attack deliberately targeted The jewish, community involved at least two,

(04:56):
gunmen including improvised explosive devices found. Nearby. Now one attacker
and apparently this was a father son, duo was. Killed
the other is in critical. Condition the initial response of
The Australian Prime, Minister Anthony albanizi neither mentioned The jewish identity.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Nor the victims attending A hanuka.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Celebration we're gonna get into more of this coming up
BECAUSE i want to couple some of my commentary with
The Brown university. Shooting AS i, mentioned the suspects identified
as a fifty year old man in his twenty four
year old. Son the father was killed at the scene
of the. Shooting the son is the individual who is
in the hospital with critical injuries right. Now authorities have

(05:42):
labeled the, attack AS i, mentioned an act of terrorism
and an. Antisemitism criminal charges are expected to be filed
against the recovering. Suspect local police do not believe any
other suspects were involved in the, attack and so much
for those stringent gun laws there In. Australia apparently this
murderous father and son duo had access to some six different,

(06:06):
firearms so quite a lot for a country that has
very stringent gun. Laws and of course this hasn't Stopped
Angie craig Ilhan omar from immediately jumping to. Guns this
will be part of my commentary coming up in just a.
Moment lawmakers In australia in the wake of this have
already begun talking about tightening gun regulations because they're just that.

(06:30):
Stupid New South wales Premiere Chris mins has, said if
you're not a, farmer if you're not involved in, agriculture
why do you need these massive weapons that put the
public in danger and make life dangerous and difficult For
New South wales. Police, well perhaps the terror attack would
be the example of why an armed society is a polite.

(06:51):
Society so we'll get into a little bit more of
this coming up in just a. Moment and AGAIN i
want to couple some of my commentary with the shooting
At Brown university that left at least two dead and nine.
INJURED i hate certain things off on such a such a,
downer but it was a rough weekend in this, regard
so a lot of ground to cover on the show this,

(07:13):
morning and of COURSE i want to hear from You
justice at iHeartRadio dot. Com that's my email address and
if you want to leave us a talk. Back those
are brought to you By Lyndahl realty from The iHeartRadio.
App and we'll get to your comments coming up right
here On Twin City's News talk AT am eleven thirty
and one oh three FIVE. Fm Twin City's News Talk

(07:40):
am eleven thirty one oh three FIVE fm from the.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Sixty five to One Carpet Next Day Install.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Studios glad you're with the show on A.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Monday my name Is John.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Justice we Have brett next door in The Master control
booth for the week talking about The australian officials identifying
the suspected Bondieb each shooters as a father and. Son
in the, meantime a shooting At Brown university has left
to two people dead nine. Injured initial reports said the
shooter was in. Custody that turned out not to be the.

(08:13):
Case the latest update From Brown university confirmed The mayor's
statement and said no, suspects we're in. Custody authority said
the suspect is a male dressed in black but that's
all that's known so. Far we are utilizing every resource
possible to find this. Suspect there was a person that
was initially taken in as a person of, interest a

(08:36):
man detained in The saturday mass. Shooting he was a
twenty four year old From. WISCONSIN i tracked the man
down in A Hampton inn In Rhode island On. Sunday
he rented a room in a. Hotel law enforcement officers
who apprehended The wisconsin man found two firearms in his,
room as well a revolver and a glock handgun with

(08:59):
a laser site. Attachment law enforcement officials have been cautious
about giving much information about the person of interest in.
Public the person of interest to law enforcement was somebody
who police believed had information or connection to the. Crime
they had not yet identified the suspect in the, shooting

(09:20):
and again.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
This person was.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
RELEASED i only bring it up because it all seems very,
strange the background of the individuals they initially the individual
here they initially talked, to and they ended up releasing
AND i see no further. Confirmation despite some of the
online commentary that the shooter allegedly had yelled something before
going and committing this shooting At Brown. University, AGAIN i

(09:44):
have not seen any confirmation of, that but AS i
mentioned a moment, ago it didn't take.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Long before.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Elected officials Like Angie craig hopped online to express her
frustration about you, know guns and.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Stuff sheryl AND i are just.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Devastated another act of senseless gun violence in this, country
and we're the only nation in the world whose lawmakers
don't seem to be willing to step forward and at
least try to address this epidemic fail on the.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
COUNTRY i am so.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
SADDENED i am just disgusted with My republican colleagues and
their lack of acknowledgment that these lives, matter their lack
of acknowledgment that These annunciation school children matter in our
country and that.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
We could do something about.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
It it is time to ban assault weapons and high
capacity magazines in our.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Nation just an, absolute just a waste of.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Commentary they don't have a suspect in, custody they don't
know a motivation of any of. This she's completely, unaware
and they immediately default To republicans. Bad it's all their.
Fault i'm more to stay on this in just a.
Moment let's get back to The iHeartRadio App You Talk,
back brought to you By Lindaul.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
REALTY i find it laughable that they're going to jump
on the gun bandwagon. Again these heinous crimes In, australia
in a country that has strict gun, laws some automagmatic weapons,
bands and then we Got Brown. University it's all heinous
crimes caused by, people not the. Guns people kill. People

(11:21):
guns don't kill. People And Rob reiner can attest to
that because he was stabbed together by a. Knife god bless.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
Post nine to.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
ELEVEN i, remember AND i was working in music radio
at the. Time, OKAY i don't know IF i had
even heard of Al qaida prior to when nine to
eleven had taken. Place of course heard about, jihad but
was really unaware beyond What i'd watched in. Movies probably

(11:55):
like most of my knowledge at the time when that
took place of terrorism would have been the bad guys
From James Cameron's True lives For Crying Out. Out but
there was extensive coverage post nine to eleven and it
was accepted by everybody for the most part as to
why Al qaedo went and did what they, did a

(12:17):
genuine desire to learn about why a religion was so
ardently Anti, west anti our Traditional american. Values it's always
a crucial aspect of getting the complete picture of why
people commit the atrocities that they, do and we are
a long way from that, now and unfortunately we continue

(12:38):
to see the horrible consequences of ignoring the motivations of these.
Individuals in the shootings of the brown circumstance obviously doesn't.
Apply we don't know the background of the individual, yet
but make no, mistake when we do catch that, individual
and he will be caught and we find out what
his background, is depending on what his motivation, was it's

(12:58):
either going to receive a lot of atten it's. Not
and this is applicable in the coverage thus far of
the tragedies this past. Weekend it's relevant to the fraud
being committed here In. Minnesota you're not allowed to Say
somali without being labeled or. Racist and it's become even
worse this lack of curiosity around, radicalization the reasons the

(13:25):
why people go and break the law and harm. Individuals
it's worse because The democrats hatred Of Donald trump and
vilification Of. Republicans republicans And conservatives have got to be
the biggest enemy to somebody's.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Life For, democrats.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
They want their voting block to believe that there is
no larger threat to them specifically Than republicans and conservatives
In trump and therefore or motivations of the criminal and
the evil must be downplayed or ignored outright in order
to continue the narrative that the true enemy is always

(14:11):
the adversary To. Democrats on top of, this you probably
didn't hear about this. Story five men arrested for An
islamist plot to Attack German christians in a.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
Market, yep this one completely flew under the.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Radar german police arrested five men suspected of plotting an
attack on A christmas. Market the, suspects Three moroccan nationals
aged twenty, two twenty eight and, thirty a fifty six
year Old egyptian and a thirty seven year Old syrian
were detained in connection over the weekend with an Alleged
islamist motivated plan to ram a vehicle into crowds at a.

(14:53):
Market and this would have been in a district Of
Southern bavaria northeast Of. Munich prosecutors allege The, egyptian reported
By german media to be an emom at a local,
mosque called for the attack with the intent of killing
or injuring as many people as. Possible the Three moroccans
are accused of agreeing to carry it, out while The

(15:14):
syrians suspect.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Encouraged.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Them but, again this flew under the, radar wasn't talked
because they caught the individuals and their background does not
fit the current progressive narratives that are being put. Forward
and it's to our own demise that we don't have
an open conversation about what radicalizes and motivates these, individuals

(15:39):
why they hate The west And america so, much because
to do so again would take away The democrat's ultimate,
goal and that is to continue to Paint republicans as
the biggest threat to the way of life of individuals
here in The United. States Andrew, langer president of The
institute For, liberty will be joining us. Next we'll get
his thoughts on what transpired from over the. Weekend, Also

(16:02):
Rob reyner and his wife found dead stabbed in Their la.
Home we'll get the details on. That And Erica kirk
in the midst of this online, controversy controversy of social
media conservative commentators choosing to actually meet With Candice, owens
who's been perpetuating an abundancy of an Abundant.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
I'm trying to think of the right word to use.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
Here she's basically been spreading a lot of conspiracy. Theories
So Erica kirk has decided to meet with. Her we'll
talk With Andrew langer and get his thoughts coming, up
and we'll get to your talkback from The iHeartRadio app
next On Twin City's News Talk am eleven thirty and
ONE o three FIVE, fm they have.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
What's called A trump derangement. Problem have you heard about that?
Problem ONE o three point five And iHeart radio. Station Hey, John,
Mary christmas to.

Speaker 7 (16:52):
YOU i know this has nothing to do with anything,
really BUT i think it is so sweet that you
Drop melinda off at the door for The christmas party
because she was wearing high heels and you were afraid
for her. Safety it's just very. Cute you guys are
a really, cute lovely. COUPLE i wish you much, Happiness

(17:15):
Happy New york to both of, you And Merry.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Christmas oh thank you for that rock. CALL i appreciate.
It i'd hate to.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Juxtapose you're incredibly kind to talk back from the iHeartRadio
app here On Twin Cities news talk with a heinous
individual Like representative Ilhan, omar and yet here we. Are
Ilhan omar was asked about the shootings At brown And
australia on MS now over the. Weekend he she had
this to, say, maybe of, course right at this very,

(17:48):
moment my laptop decides that it does not want.

Speaker 8 (17:51):
Become normal, occurrence not just in The United, states but
now see it In australia has worked really hard to
create gun professional laws to prevent the kind of tragedy
that took place.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Today, yeah it didn't. Work that didn't go so, well did.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
It?

Speaker 9 (18:16):
Yep Anjie craig and Neilhan omer and the Other democrats
jumping on the gun control. Bandwagon, yep that's. Right why
don't we ban all? Guns ban all? Guns that's your,
side right then the only people that would have guns
would be criminals and. Terrorists that would take care of
the rest OF us law biting.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
People, right great, job.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
But it's less About there is that group that wants
to go and ban all the, guns but make no.
Mistake and you know this is used so often when
it comes to push, back to pushing back on any
adversary To. Democrats and AS i mentioned right, now The democrats'
dance is to ignore the motivations the radicalization of individuals

(18:57):
because the enemy of The american way of life always
has to be conservatives And. Republicans so you have to
go and look the other. Way and so whither are
those that want to go and get rid of guns.
COMPLETELY i think The democrats are fine to be able
to have this argument that they can continue to use
over and over again whenever we have horrific incidents like
we saw over the over the. Weekend Andrew, langer president

(19:18):
of The institute For liberty Regulatory, guru works With, seedback
who's also traveling this, morning joins us for his last
appearance of twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Five good, Morning. Andrew you, know it was.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
One of those. Things AND i had that oh darn
moment yesterday WHEN i, realized oh my, Goodness i'm going
to be on the. Road, Yeah i'm heading up a
good buddy of. Mine his wife is being sworn in
as the investador of The, Bahrain and So i've gotten
invited to the swearing in ceremony And i've never actually
been to one of, these So i'm heading. Up so, yeah,
anyway but thank, you thank you for having me. On

(19:50):
it's been a.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Year how does one become an ambassador To? Bahrain that's,
Interesting it's.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Something you work very hard at it and it's One
and it's interesting because she he is a, conservative her
husband's a, conservative longtime conservative. Activist. Uh she is not
one of those who got her ambassadorship because she gave
lots of. Money she has just worked in diplomatic circles
for a very long. Time her name Is Stephanie. Hallin
she was a charged affair in The israeli, embassy so

(20:16):
the number two and then the acting, ambassador uh for
for quite a. Bit and, yeah so just, good, thrilled
thrilled for.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Her so let's start.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Here your thoughts on these these two different horrific events
that took, place the one Of Brown. University apparently the
suspect is still at, large and of course this Anti
Semitic honkah attack that took place a in In.

Speaker 5 (20:39):
Australia, YEAH i, mean, listen you, know it's not the
it's not the gun. Violence that is becoming increasingly, common you,
Know Congresswoman, omar it's it's it's the Anti semitic. Attacks
and you, know, Listen i'm going to an event, Tonight honka.
Party it's you, Know. Honkah the season is kicked, off

(21:00):
and it's going to have armed security for the first.
TIME i, mean because you have. To you have to do. That.
Now that's where we. Are and at the end of the,
day right you don't want to have these targets of.
Opportunity we, know we know why this this attack happened
down In. Australia we know or at least we're starting
to know why this attack happened At Brown university who

(21:22):
was targeted. There this is what happens when you have
THE i was going to use the phrase life, centisness
but when it's this permissive environment in which it's okay
to Hate jews and Demonized jews and Other, jews this
is what you.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Get, well and AS i mentioned, Earlier andrew AND i
go back AND i remember working in rock radio nine
to eleven occurs and even not being involved in political
commentary at that. Portion at that time in my radio,
CAREER i remember that we were more willing to have
an open discussion on why these different, radicals why these

(22:03):
different religions Hate america the way that they, do or
in this, case you, know when it comes to Anti,
semitism we.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Were willing to talk about.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
That it was a part of the conversation of how
do we go and solve these, problems and we've just
completely we're so far removed from that now and it's
to our own detriment here In. Minnesota you can't, mention you,
know The somali community perpetuating ninety percent of the fraud
here without immediately going and being labeled a. Racist thankfully
enough people have been speaking out. Anyways but we're just

(22:33):
Not we're no longer allowed By democrats to have those
specific and very important factual conversations about radicalization.

Speaker 5 (22:41):
Anymore, andrew you, know, LISTEN i WILL i will say
this is one of the most heartening things over the.
Weekend there's a you know, Me i'm the additional loving
sci FI i do happen to have a great love
of The Great White, way The broadway musical and there's
a guy Named Sep Threw devsky who is Deconstructs broadway show.

(23:02):
Tunes these these become a mainsay in terms of analysis
and content creation Over, broadway And Seth trudetsky has been
very vocal over the last several, months but especially over
the weekend in terms of his. Condemnation And i'm, thinking
you know, something if somebody who was so firmly enthralled

(23:24):
in these liberal, circles is you, know is mustering the
courage to speak out about these horrific, acts it really
should serve as an inspiration for the rest of us to.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
Do so let's move on to a couple of other other.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
Issues first, off we talked last week quite a bit
about the redistricting taking place In. Texas this Prompted Jasmine
crockett to announce to her run for the her.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Run for The.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Senate, so you, KNOW i don't want TO i don't
want to dismiss this woman out. Right obviously she has her.
Support she's a social media liberal. Darling there's no doubt
about that. Whatsoever what are her chances in This senate
race and what are your thoughts on her making this
announcement last?

Speaker 5 (24:05):
Week Andrew, Langer, Yeah Jasmine crockett is Like beto o'rourk
without the mass appeal and appropriate. Marketing. RIGHT i, mean it's,
like how Is Jasmine crockett going to appeal to semi
Conservative latino, voters Independent latino voters In texas in the
same way That beto or work. Could, Right beto or

(24:27):
could sort of mask himself a little bit as a
more moderate iconoclass even though he really. Wasn't but, Yeah
Jasmine crockett represents like the furthest to the left that
you can get In. Texas it's, Funny. JOHN a couple
of weeks, AGO i was really fortunate because you, know for,
me it's always about the humble, Break. JOHN i was
able to go to one event a couple of weeks.

(24:48):
Ago Charlie, cook the political, forecaster gave a presentation to
a bunch of healthcare policy, professionals and one of the
things he talked about was the issue of making certain
that that parties on either either, side that they pick
candidates that are appropriate to the political landscapes of their
state if they want to have any hope in. Winning,

(25:10):
right if you're if you're A Texas, democrat you want
someone who's more in the mode of, WELL i don't,
KNOW i was gonna, Say, kabels you, know you want
you want sort of modern almost The GEORGE. W. Bush
you want Moderate. Democrats, now you Want democrats that are
going to have broad mass. APPEAL i will say this.

(25:31):
Much let's let's, Uh let's say for a moment That
Tim watson in fact knew how to use a shotgun
and did have a certain degree of masculinity that might
threaten other. People let's assume that that there was an, actual,
Uh Texas democrat who was a masculine gun Toting. Democrat
that person might actually have a. Chance right If Polcy

(25:52):
gabbard had stayed in The Democratic party and tried to
run for, Office Bobby, Kennedy Uh, junior if you'd stayed
in A democrat had tried to run for, office these
two would have a much better chance Than Jasmine, crockett
who represents like the liberal bastions Of houston And dallas And,

(26:14):
austin and there's just not enough of those voters to
overcome you know everything. Else WELL i.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
DO i tend to, agree AND i hope you're, right
because my concern is if individuals Like Representative Jasmine, crockett
even though she, lost she did close the gap a
bit from the previous, race you, know being beat by
only nine points as opposed to twenty Two Afton baine as.
Well but individuals like, that if they are consistently you,

(26:44):
know these these nutbar, democrats you, know these social media
influencing democrats that have said all manner of ridiculous. Commentary
if they're able to mount successful campaigns and start winning,
ELECTIONS i mean that is going to be a harbinger
of doom moving, forward If democrats are able to ride
the waves of ridiculousness into. Office and so, far you

(27:08):
know that seems to be have been held, back you,
know barring a few exceptions here and.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
There andrew, RIGHT i mean that the act and beIN
example is a really good one in this, Case, john
BECAUSE i was very eoorsh about that. Race the reality
of course was that that you, know that is an
over an overwhelmingly read, district AND i was concerned because
you never know what's going to. Happen the fact that

(27:33):
this was the, time if it was going to happen
at any point in time in a district like, that
it would have happened now given the unpopularity Of President
trump in certain circles and the hits that he's his
approval ratings have taken in in places like. That the fact,
is you, know but, again anything gonna happen in another.

(27:53):
Year But I'm I'm i'm a little dubious in a
in a cycle that is going to not be great For.
REPUBLICANS i am less worried About texas THAN i am
about other.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
STATES i want to get your thoughts on. This we
haven't talked about it much on the. Show we mentioned
it Briefly friday here On Twin Cities News. Talk but
this controversy within within conservative commentators stemming From Candace owens
and the conspiracies that she has been perpetuating on her.

(28:26):
Show there's been verbal sparring going back and forth between
her and Commentator Tim poole quite. Often this has sparked
a broader conversation of the way in which these commentators
are going and putting out their content and how they're framing.
Things most of this has been swirling around the death
Of Charlie kirk and the ideas presented By Candace owens

(28:48):
that other individuals or entities may have been at play
as opposed to the shooter who turned up in court.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Last week and at the center of.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
This on the other side Is Charlie kirk's, wife you,
know But Erica, kirk who has decided after being asked
last week By Barry weiss in that, interview you, know
her thoughts about comments Like Candace, owens but has decided
to actually go and meet With. Candace i'm kind of
torn on whether or not this is a good. Idea
what are your?

Speaker 5 (29:15):
Thoughts, well, LISTEN i, mean you, know like everything, else
it's it's anytime you're gonna wrestle with a, pig you,
know you're always caution it begins wrestling a pig because
you wind up covered in mone in the pig likes.
It you never you never know what you're going to
get in this kind of a. Situation and of course
they're meeting behind closed. Doors you, know it could become

(29:35):
a she, said she, said kind of a. Situation but you,
know at the end of the, day, right you, know
All Erica kirk can do is be true to What
charlie would have. Wanted AND i Think charlie would have
wanted her to sit, down and you, know call it a,
confrontation call it a come To jesus moment For Candace.

(29:56):
Owens you know where you, Know Erica kirk is essentially,
SAYING i Am i'm not afraid of. You i'm not
afraid of what you're going to. Say ALL i can
do is demonstrate you, know love and and forgiveness and
grace and and you, know to, me there's a there's
a great deal of courage in doing. That it's funny
because you talk about how we all need to look

(30:18):
at these. THINGS i didn't. KNOW i, MEAN i Think
Charlie kirk AND i Were facebook, friends but we may
have met once or. TWICE i didn't know him at.
ALL i Know i've Met Candas owens a handful of.
Times our our our colleague and Radio larry, O'Connor WHO
i occasionally fill in. For you, Know larry O'Connor, said,
listen go back and look at old videos Of Charlie

(30:39):
kirk And Candace owens, together and you come away with
the suspicion that there were some there may be some
unresolved feelings Towards Charlie. Kirk The Candice owens has uh
and and, again if if that's the, case And Erica
kirk is aware of, this and that also may be
part of the reason why she wants to go and
and have this meeting of the minds to, say, LISTEN

(31:02):
i know you cared for my, husband but this is
not serving his. MEMORY i love, You, charlie loved, you
and of course the way that you know we are
supposed to love our fellow men and. Women but let's
leave it at. That let's stop with a.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
NONSENSE i was privy to a very enlightening conversation a
few years ago with Individuals i'm going to be very
very careful, here individuals who had firsthand knowledge had worked
With Candice owens in the, past and they had offered
up their view of her from basically behind closed. Doors

(31:38):
this was an angle THAT i never heard. Before and
what's fascinating about WHAT i had learned that afternoon was
in the wake of the current. Controversy it matches completely
with WHAT i was told About Candice owens and her
motivations from individuals who had worked directly with her early
early in her.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
Career you can tell everybody about the conversations you AND
i had About Candace. Ollens That ben's chili.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Bowlts actually that wasn't the CONVERSATION i was referring.

Speaker 5 (32:07):
To but, No i'm just. Joking i'm just, joking but you, know.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
On a broader sense, Though i'm actually kind.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Of glad that this controversy is taking place because it's
good to get this out in the open and have
an open conversation about how there are there are plenty
of conservative commentators out there that have And i'm not
and again we're devetailing off of Candas owen's.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
Here this whole situation will.

Speaker 4 (32:27):
Play, out but just the conversation around those individuals that
are out there and they are, grifting they're pedaling in
a lot of the negativity because it is what drives their.
Views it is what drives you, know their their fiscal
you know how they're bringing in money for crying out.
Loud so it's good to have a broader. Conversation that's,
unfortunate it's the. CIRCUMSTANCE i know we got to. Go

(32:48):
but let me just say this. Much the reason why
we Have january, sixth and the reason why we're still
litigating the twenty twenty election controversy is because the grifters
got their hands on that, process and they got this
rally that was ill conceived and ill, conducted and then
and then you got the nonsense, afterwards and some of

(33:09):
those folks are still in the, movement some of them are.
Not but you know that, nothing nothing kills a movement
faster than the grifter class getting their hands on. It
two things BEFORE i cut you loose this, morning AND
i appreciate you joining us even though while you're. Traveling first, off,
boy just welcome this. Morning and, HONESTLY i thought it
was clickbait UNTIL i saw the further confirmation That Rob

(33:32):
reiner and his Wife Michelle Singer reiner announced that they'd
been found stabbed to death And sunday afternoon inside of
Their brentwood. Home, brentwood of all, places of, course the
same location of the ninety four murders Of Nicole Brownson
simpson And Ronald goleman at the hands OF. O. J.
Simpson you, know, Listen Rob reiner outspoken critic Of Donald,

(33:56):
trump would be an. Understatement that being, said you look
at you, know some of my favorite movies growing. Up
this Is Spinal tap When harry Met, sally The Princess,
bride and apparently they're they're focusing in on his on his.
Son that might have, been you, know might have been
the individual responsible of.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
This just absolutely tragic it.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
Is and AND i just you, know it's one of
those things where you're going to watch the, reaction and
of course they are going to be the outliers out
there who are going to try to dance On Rob reiner's,
grave and shame on anybody who does, that you, know right,
now especially this is a this is a tragic, uh you,
know situation event. Happening it. Is we can, all we

(34:37):
can all have, disagreements. Uh and and who, knows who
knows what was Motivating Rob reiner's son who allegedly killed
killed his. Parents but at the end of the, day,
right we don't we don't celebrate. This we celebrate the, life,
uh the, artwork the things that he. Contributed. RIGHT i,

(34:57):
Listen i've watched my spinal tap. Two we KEEP i,
KEEP i keep avoiding. It i'm me. Too i'm the
unavoidable THAT i have to watch.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
It me. Too it's available on streaming AND i have
it on my list to watch While i'm on. Vacation
BUT i am incredibly trepidacious about watching that.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
FILM i want to see.

Speaker 5 (35:14):
The, coloney The Coloney Adam sandler movie. First that'll be
first on the. List and then and then the spinal.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Tap last thing real quick BEFORE i let you. Go
just for those that are.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
INTERESTED i know you have a new editorial out talking
about The Genius act as it relates to stable coin.
Cryptocurrency where can people find that and what will people
learn in this?

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Commentary, well.

Speaker 5 (35:35):
Listen you, know, obviously as the mainstreaming of cryptocurrency becomes more,
prevalent we have This Genius act that's supposed to ease
a way for people to be able to use cryptocurrency
to pay for. Things one of the things we want
to make sure of is that people aren't getting scammed
and that there aren't these financial instruments out there that
are inherently risky And i'm ensurable and, so you, KNOW

(35:56):
i was talking about this idea That congress specifically said
that you can't earn, interest and you shouldn't you, know
there shouldn't be products out there where folks are promising
interest payments on cryptocurrency. Deposits in the same way in
The United, states you don't earn interest if you if you,
invest you, know you have some kind of a fund

(36:16):
that invests in land or precious. Metals and obviously there
are you, know things that are offshore that aren't in
The United. States, Right you earn interest when when something
is being u. Lent you know your your money is
being lent out because there is an inherent risk that's
involved in that and someone is covering. That so that's
what this op ed is. About it's a we're trying

(36:38):
to find some kind of sensibility in cryptocurrency. Policy, uh
The Genius act was a good step in that. Direction
we've got to make sure that the things don't get
mucked up down the.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
Road Andrew, langer, You terry the dubious honor of being
the longest running a weekly Guest wow during my talk radio.

up stopping this terrorist father and son in one of

the circumstances in the middle of when this was all going.
