Speaker 1 (00:00):
In the mainstream media nationwide. I won't bury what, I'll
break down. Let me just give you the let me
give you the framework. So yesterday there was a new
story that erupted saying that disability waivers were going to
be halted for the next two years. This is DHS
(00:20):
doing this for various social service programs. Okay, So DHS
is actually doing what they should have been doing all along.
Now they have another excuse for this, and I'll explain
when I get there, But basically, there's been this massive
increase in demand for these disability waivers costing a lot
(00:42):
of money. Same thing that we have seen when it
comes to health and human services with daycare center fraud,
with the autism fraud, all of it. Okay, So DHS
is finally doing what they should have done all along
when there was a massive funding request increase from these
various entities, and then they waited, they waited, they waited,
and now we're in the middle of all this fraud scandal.
(01:03):
So they're now going and haunting any of these disability
waivers for the next two years. So why is this interesting? Well,
beyond the fraud aspect of it, and further examples of
This is interesting because when you go back a year
ago basically, I mean a full year ago, like December fourth,
and I'll have the audio to share when Governor Tim
(01:24):
Walls came out and talked about how the eighteen billion
dollar surplus that we had was gone and now we're
facing a deficit. Would you like to venture a guess
for those that don't remember, because I didn't until I
was reminded via the clip online, would you like to
venture a guess of what Governor Tim Walls blamed the
(01:45):
deficit on and how we went from eighteen billion down
to a deficit. It was disability waivers. Oh, so basically
the argument moving forward forward is that perhaps that eighteen
billion dollars went up in smoke also because of fraud.
(02:13):
So we're gonna dive into this in great detail coming
up next hour. You might ask yourself, John, why don't
you just why don't you get into it?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Now? Get into all of it. Well, it's kind of
like a party.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
I consider the show kind of a party, mostly because
I got a great night's sleep due to the Mini
Leaf Nightgummies, nice little plug in there. But as any party,
you gotta wait for everybody to arrive you don't wanna
you know, you don't want to go, and you don't
want to start spinning all the great tunes right.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Out of the gate.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
You're gonna even kind of wanna wanna warm warm things up.
So we'll get we'll get into this next next hour
as I peel back the curtain on the on the show,
we have a lot of news regarding the ice hops
that did start yesterday. Minneapolis Man Baby mayor Mom Jeans
Jacob Frye has moved to strip away any ability for
(03:11):
federal law enforcement officials to.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Park Oh my god, that's not even a joke.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
He signed an executive order saying that ice authorities are
not allowed to use city parking spaces. I have a theory.
By the way, I'll share this theory with you last hour.
I cannot take all the credit for this theory. I
was talking on the phone yesterday with lawyer Extraordinair Jeff O'Brien,
and we were going back and forth to which this
(03:40):
theory was formed of what's actually happening with these ice raids.
We have audio from city council members that we'll share
with you later on in the show as well, and
we'll get into what these ice raids have actually, you know,
entailed so far. Not a lot of arrests, a lot
of made up stories though without any evidence whatsoever of
these things happening. The Democrats are screaming to the high
(04:02):
heavens about it was funny yesterday I was on the phone,
so Logan's upstairs, one level up, and I'm down prepping
in my usual prep spot, and I was talking with
Jeff O'Brien, and I hanged the phone.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Up and Logan goes, who are you talking to your dad?
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Because he didn't know right, and uh, just without even
without even missing a beat, I just go, no, I
was talking to lawyer extraordin there.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Jeff O'Brien.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Couldn't have just been Jeff was lawyer extraordin near Jeff O'Brien.
All right, coming up, we'll get to your talkbacks from
the iHeartRadio Apples are brought to you by Lyn Dahl Realty, No,
not Lyn Dall, but Lindell. He's filed to run for governor,
mister Mipellow. We'll talk about that. We'll also get to
one of the bigger stories that everybody is talking about
(04:53):
right now that has absolutely nothing to do with politics whatsoever.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
I love this story. By the way, I understand why
everyon he's interested in it.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
You can also email me Justice at iHeartRadio dot com.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I'm glad you're with the show.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Don't go anywhere because you're listening to Twin City's News
Talk Am eleven thirty and one oh three five FM
and a lot of people love the show.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Good morning, and I love your show.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
You know, just like Trump firstplus Home of the Next
Day install studios on Twin Cities News Talk Hey Yeah
Me eleven thirty FM, one oh three point five and
on the free iHeartRadio apps.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Good morning, folks. You know I only get to listen
to bits and pieces of your show here and there,
so maybe you have done this already, but I was
just wondering, have you thought about having Joe.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Pegs on your show? He has been talking a lot
about what's been going on in Minnesota, whether it be
the fraud or the situation of ice. Just to suggestion,
have a good.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Day, So Adam, A couple of things on that first
off from a talk show host standpoint in terms of protocols,
not not the right word, but this would go the
other direction, like I wouldn't specifically, have Joe Paggs on
this show to talk about Minnesota issues, it would go
(06:19):
the other way. I would be on Joe Pagg's show
to talk about Minnesota issues. Joe Paggs is on this
station but doesn't broadcast from Minnesota, so this would go
the other way. For example, I went on a show
yesterday in Denver to talk about what was going on
here in Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
So that's how you know.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Mammazon Mandy Connell's show A Great Friend Goes Way Back,
we go way back. She was great friends with Drew,
so I went on her show yesterday to talk about it.
Second thing is I also know that Joe Paggs days
up late because his show is later, and he also
does a lot of stuff online. Can not tell you
how many times It'll be a late Saturday, you know,
(07:04):
Friday into Saturday, Saturday into Sunday night, and I'm wrapping
up the evening, getting ready to go to bed, and
I hop online and Joe Paggins is doing a live
on TikTok or Instagram, and I just hang out. On occasion,
I'll pop in and say hi. I am highly entertained
when he sings. It's got a fantastic voice. So because
of the fact of his schedule, it's why I don't
(07:25):
typically reach out. So there you go, a little inside baseball,
but thank you for the talkback. Brought to you by
Lyndall Realty. Here on Twinsday's news talk from the Associated
Press Press. A maxed, masked burglar broke into a closed
Virginia liquor store early on Saturday, hit the bottom shelf
scotch and whiskey, that's where they were stored. The bandit
(07:49):
something of a nocturnal menace. Bottles were smashed, a ceiling
tile collapsed, and alcohol was pulled up on the floor.
The suspect acted like an animal because in fact it
was a raccoon.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Story's gone totally viral.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
On Saturday morning, an employee at the Ashland, Virginia area
liquor store found the trash panda passed out on the
bathroom floor at the end of his drunken escapade. The
photograph spectacular. Samantha Martin, an officer who looked who works
for local animal control, said, personally, I like raccoons.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
They are funny little creatures.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
He fell through one of the ceiling tiles and went
on a full blown rampage drinking everything. Martin said she
took the raccoon back to the animal shelter. Though she
had feared her fair share of giggles, she had her
fair share excuse me of giggles along the way another
life in the end as an animal control officer. Yeah,
(08:48):
this story had been completely viral, and it's the because
the pictures really are what sold it. Because you see
all the broken alcohol bottles on the floor and then the.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Next voter that you see is the raccoon with.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
The it's legs sprawled out.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
As he's passed out next to the toilet. Cracked me up.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
From raccoons to turtles, specifically Franklin. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth,
working off a version of the story from The Blaze,
shared a meme on Sunday depicting the eponymous star of
the children's book of franchise Franklin, the Turtle, and the
television adaptation Franklin. However, the image shared had Franklin dressed
(09:34):
up as an American soldier perched on the side of
an attack helicopter and firing a rocket propelled grenade at
maritime drug runners. The AI generated illustration shared after lawmakers
from both parties expressed concerns over American strikes against suspected
drug traffickers and the Caribbean Sea or were doing Caribbean Sea.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
We're back to that now.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
It was made to look like the cover of the
book series, complete with the title a classic Franklin Story.
Franklin targets narco terrorists and keeping with the theme of
Democrats being ridiculous, Democrats have actually gotten into the game
of defending narco terrorists. We doubt Franklin the Turtle wants
to be inclusive of drug cartel's or laud the kindness
(10:21):
and empathy of narco terrorists. The viral meme, which heg
Seth captioned for you You're a Christmas wish List, had
over twenty five point six million impressions on x as
of Wednesday, enraged various liberal media personalities and Democrats, as
well as the Toronto based publisher of Franklin Books out
(10:42):
there from Canada, I don't care. Chuck Schumer guided on
the action, stating on the House floor, excuse me, on
the Senate floor.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
He wants to be taken seriously.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
But yesterday he posted a ridiculous tweet of a cartoon
Turtle Fire hiring on alleged to drug traffickers a sick
parody of a well known children's book. This man is
a national embarrassment, says it's the guy who took him
selfie of of himself grilling with raw burgers, to which
he was already placing the cheese on top before they
(11:16):
had been cooked. Kids can Press, It's the publishing company,
said in a statement. Franklin the Turtles is a beloved
Canadian icon who has inspired generations of children and stands
for kindness, empathy, and inclusion and inclusivity. Okay, awesome for Franklin.
We strongly condemn any degrading, violent, or unauthorized use of
(11:40):
Franklin's name or image which directly contradicts these values, said
the Canadian publisher. They're aware that the book hasn't been
made right. This is not this is not a not
a real book. It's just a it's just it's just
a meme. Just maybe they're not, I don't know, depending
on Spokesman Sean Parnell responded to the publisher's condemnation, saying
(12:02):
we doubt Franklin the Turtle wants to be inclusive of
drug Cartel's or lot, the kindness of empathy of Narco terrorists.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
You know what cracks me up about this.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Too, is that we're at the point now where you
can create these things within seconds.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
It doesn't take time at all. I mean what used
to take you know, a.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Half hour to an hour, fifteen minutes says you know,
ten minutes through photoshop. Now within seconds on grock you
can create a realistic image like Pete did.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
So.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
I imagine Pete was just oh, hey, this is funny,
makes the image and posts it, probably in shorter He
spent less time making the image and putting it online
than I have commenting on this whole thing, and yet
the Democrats just end up slipping out overall of it.
(12:55):
This has sparked a lot of other Franklin memes, of
many of which I will not share, but there are
some really good ones out there. All right, we'll get
to your comments coming up from the iHeartRadio app in
just a moment here.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
On Twin City's news Talk.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
My Pillows, Mike Lindell files to run for governor, although
the Caraleven subheadline is one not to be missed. A
little bit later on in the hour, we do have
some audio fair warning of Representative Ilhan omar very upset
at President Donald Trump. There's no surprise there, and then
we'll be diving into all of the outrage as the
(13:33):
ice raids have begun here in Minneapolis and the response
from Minneapolis man baby mayor Mom Jean's Jacob Frye. Here
on Twin Cities News Talk Am eleven thirty and one
oh three five FM, the.
Speaker 6 (13:46):
Have what's called a Trump derangement problem. Have you heard
about that problem?
Speaker 1 (13:59):
My pillows, My Glendell files to run for Mike governor
from the six five What Carpet plus Next Day Install Studios.
My name is John Justice. Glad you're with the show,
Devin and the Master Control Booth this morning. Here on
Twin City's News Talk, the Carol Levin subheadline.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
On the announcement made me laugh.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
The embattled businessman a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump.
I'm using that tone because you know that when they
wrote it, that's the tone that they had in their head.
Has faced a plethora.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
A plythera what is it? Plethora?
Speaker 1 (14:38):
Has faced a plethora of lawsuits on everything from unpaid
bills and taxes to defamation immediately he gets the negative slant.
I don't believe that Mike Lindell has a snowballs chance
in ag double hockey sticks of winning the endorsement. Well,
maybe the endorsement, because the endorsement process is kind of
(14:59):
a mes yes, but certainly not the nomination. But he
doesn't deserve to get lambasted out of the gate by
Carol Levian over this. But if I were Mike Lindell,
I go all in on the my Governor aspect of it.
If you think that you have a chance, and obviously
he does, you know, unless this is, you know, some
way to bring in dollars, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
I'd like to assume it's real. Mike Lindell seems pretty he.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Seems pretty authentic and the actions that he that he takes.
But if I were Lindell, I'd go I'd go all
in on the on the marketing aspect of my Governor.
I do the logo, just like the MyPillow and the
my slippers, I do all of it. It was funny
yesterday when I when I was on Mandy Connell's show
in Colorado and she brought this up because the news
(15:46):
had just broke of of Lindell announcing his run for governor.
It made me laugh because I was actually wearing the
my slippers when I.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Was doing the interview. I just made me. That made
me chuckle. Let's go here.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
President Donald Trump pardons Representative Henry Quahar on Wednesday. You
know he's a Democrat, Kayse, she weren't aware of. That
kind of runs counter to a lot of the teds
criticisms by Democrats. Trump did pardon Henry Quaar Wednesday morning
for federal money laundering, bribery, and illegal foreign influence charges,
(16:25):
Trump wrote on truth Social One of the clearest examples
of this was when Crooked Joe Biden used the FBI
and dj to take out a member of his own
party after highly respected Congressman Henry Quaar bravely spoke out
against open borders and the Biden border catastrophe.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
And listen.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Quaar is running for reelection next year in the competitive
South District South Texas District. It's raided a toss up
by the Cook Political Report. So so not like Trump
did any favors for Republicans. And again, this kind of
runs counter to those that, hey, Trump doesn't matter, They'll
never give him credit for it sleepy Joe went after
the congressman and even the Congressman's a wonderful wife, Amelda,
(17:04):
simply for speaking the truth. It is Unamerican, and as
I have previously stated, said the President, the radical left
to Democrats are a complete and total threats to democracy
esclamation point. Trump criticized the indictment back in twenty twenty four,
saying it was because of Quaar's criticism of Biden's border policies.
(17:24):
In twenty twenty four, Biden and his DOJ had charged
Quaar and his wife with having accepted approximately six hundred
thousand dollars in bribes from two foreign entities, an oil
and gas company wholly owned and controlled by the government
of iSER Beijan and a bank headquartered in Mexico City
from fourteen to twenty twenty one.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
His daughters had.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Sent a clemency request to to Trump in November, saying
that the actions of Quaar and his wife were lawful
and consistent with his role in Congress, adding that the
Democrat received a written legal opinion and opinions of the
Health Ethics Committee stating that his actions were lawful because
of these facts and others I hear by him announcing
(18:10):
my full and unconditional pardon of the beloved Texas congressman
and his wife, Henry. I don't know about you, but
you can sleep well tonight. Your nightmare is finally over.
The President further stated, I'll sleep even better with those
many leaf night coomings.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
I just want to say, look at that. Oh hell yeah,
getting that product placement in there.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Speaking of Biden, the Biden administration barely vetted the Afghan
migrant accused of shooting the two National guardsmen in Washington,
DC last week.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Not a huge surprise here.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
The alleged shooter didn't undergo the multiple standard background checks
after he arrived to the United States in twenty twenty
one as part of the Biden administration's Operation Allies Welcome
Home program that brought over seventy seven thousand individuals from
the war to or nation following the botched withdrawal of
the American troops.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
The Biden administration.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Allowed the individual into the US because of his past
work with federal agencies operating in Afghanistan, including the CIA.
The Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe revealed last week
he received full asylum in April. We saw with this
terrorist here he was barely vetted. There was no biometric vetting,
(19:31):
there was no criminal background check, no cyber background check,
no financial background check. Really, they took some people and
they just took them at their word, and that's a
huge problem.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
You have to jump.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Through more hoops, and it requires more work for you
to get your yearly wellness discount on your employees' health
insurance than what this guy had to do in terms
of a background check to be granted to stay in
(20:03):
the United States. It really can't be overstated what the
Biden administration did to this country in putting it in danger.
So I would obviously I excuse me. I would say
absolutely the vetting process is an issue, but these countries
of origin to are an issue. That's according to the
(20:23):
Assistant Homeland Security Secretary. You know, Biden was really just
referring to the Walls trust test approach. I want to
go back to a bit of what Walls had to
say earlier this week regarding the paid family leave and
the concerns that it could be fraudulent. When he went
and said this during the press conference, well, aren't people.
Speaker 5 (20:44):
Going to abuse the program?
Speaker 7 (20:45):
How disrespectful to people to assume that all Minnesotans are scamming.
That's what I hear from them all the time. I
trust Minnesotans. I believe in Minnesotans. I believe they know
you're not going to get rich and it's not your
full salary. You're not going to scam and take time off.
This is complicated. This was a very good question about
multiple members coming off. My family's dealing this with a
(21:06):
mother in law, my wife and her three sisters. My
sisters in laws have a schedule where they take turns
every couple of days being responsible, and then they shift off,
and then they shift off.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
As it stands right now.
Speaker 7 (21:19):
They leave their jobs without pay to do that. This
will make it so much easier. So I'm excited about it.
I'm excited about the program.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
So a couple of things on this.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
First off, to the last part that you mentioned, My
understanding is what he said with his relatives, they're switching off.
The new paid family lead doesn't even allow you to
go and do that.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
But to his first.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Point, basically, he admitted that the program can be exploited,
but is saying that he trusts that Minnesotans won't exploit it.
What a ridiculous take in the wake of everything that
we have been talking about on the show, and the
reason why so many prominent Minnesotans have basically broken a
(22:02):
record this week for appearances on outside Minnesota sources. You
have more interviews with prominent Minnesota politicians, especially Republicans, from
outside the state than you do for requests from inside
the state, which tells you all you need to know
about how Walls skated by last year when he was
(22:22):
tapped to be Kamala's VP, and everybody just ignored all
of what we've been talking about over the course of
the past few weeks. The pain family leave is going
to be a total disaster. Walls knows it. He absolutely
knows it. And this just reinforces everything that Walls is
(22:43):
dealing with right now. Reinforces my belief last year and
that Walls was gindy like a child bounding down the
stairs at the crack of dawn on Christmas morning to
go and see what Santa left. Walls was eager, that
eager to be Kamala Harris's VP choice one for the
(23:04):
ego boost, but two it would have been his ticket
out of Minnesota to stay in politics. Before all of
what we've been talking about broke loose too late.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Now now he's in the middle of it.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
So back to what I was saying before, Biden was
just with the Maybe Wallas was taking a tip from Biden.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
It's gonna just trust everybody. He'll be fine.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
We'll let in all these Afghan refugees. They're coming to America.
America's great. Nobody would want to come here and harm Americans,
or take advantage of it, or go.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
And break the law.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
I already am hearing from friends of the show who
have said that they have family members who know full
well that once the beginning of the year starts, they're
going to be able to go and take this time
off looking to take advantage of it is it's going
to be an absolute disaster. We're going to get into
(23:56):
a lot more of the paid family leave tomorrow on
the show Our Freedom Friday.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Guests will include.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Catherine Johnson from American Experiment RNC Committee, man Ak Kamara,
and Walter Hudson will be joining us in studio for
the show tomorrow as well. And I believe he went
down tomorrow lago. If I'm not mistaken. I was looking
on his X feed. He actually he actually traveled down
to tomorrow Lago, which bums me out because if I
(24:22):
had known I have a new item on my bucket list,
I'm kind of getting ahead of myself here. I have
a new item on my bucket list. I want to
get President Donald Trump since he's been talking about Jacob Frye.
I want to get Trump to call him Minneapolis man
baby may or, Mom Jean's Jacob Frye. I feel like
(24:42):
if somebody could feed that to the President and I've
the you know, I'm I'm less than six degrees of
separation from the president right now, actually way less than
that considering I know Pete, but I'm not gonna text
Pete and ask it to give it to the President.
Even if the President just called Jacob fry Man baby Mayor,
I would be excited about that. Yeah, I'm looking at
(25:03):
it right now. Walter Hudson honored to attend the Prager
You Gala at mar Alago. We'll talk about that when
he joins us in studio tomorrow on the.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
On the show. All Right, I see your top bacts
are rolling in.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Let's go here. I'll get to your comments here in
just a moment. On CNN yesterday, the lead.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
I had no idea. That's what Jake Tapper show is
called the lead.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Representative Ilhan Omar said President Donald Trump's comments about Themalians,
we're creating a dangerous situation because his followers exhibited violence.
And I want to get to more of that in
just a moment. Let me play this clip. First off, though,
we were talking about fraud a moment ago, and Jake
(25:48):
Tapper had asked Representative Ilhan Omar about the fraud taking
place and specifically it ties to the Somali community.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
And here is what Ilhan had to say.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Can you shed any light on why the fraud got
so out of control in Minnesota?
Speaker 8 (26:09):
I think what happened is that, you know, when you
have these kind of new programs that are designed to
help people, you're oftentimes relying on third parties to be
able to facilitate. And I just think that a lot
of the COVID programs that were set up, they were
set up so quickly that a lot of the guard
(26:30):
wheels did not get created.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
You know, people get busted for speeding.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
If the auto manufacturers would just create cars that were
incapable of speeding, then maybe people wouldn't be breaking the law.
So it's the program's fault in this. She's not wrong
in that aspect. She should be adding the human component
(27:00):
to it. I don't want to dismiss that fact, but
she is not wrong in the program being open to fraud.
It is the barrier to entry to open up the
autism centers, the housing stabilization services. What we'll get into
next hour, these programs in which these disability waivers have
exploded that may have ended up sucking our eighteen billion
(27:22):
dollars surplus dry. She's right, they are right for fraud.
They were designed that way. But then she makes the
mistake of completely dismissing the fact that there's a human
component here and that Walls had said that he trusts Minnesotans,
So why would there be any fraud? I mean, this
(27:42):
runs directly counter to the clip, Well, are people.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
Going to abuse the program?
Speaker 7 (27:46):
How disrespectful to people to assume that all Minnesotans are
scamming and that's.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
The wordplay there.
Speaker 1 (27:54):
How disrespectful to assume that all Minnesotans are scamming. You know, Tim,
not all Minnesotans are a scaming Nobody is saying that,
but some Minnesotans are scamming. A lot of Minnesotans are scamming.
Even though that a lot number is only a fraction
of the whole.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
Never gets called on the carpet by the media.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
Excuse me, governor who said that all Minnesotans are scamming,
I don't know anybody that's actually gone and said that.
Speaker 9 (28:25):
It's great that you trust the people of Minnesota. It's
great that you think that you have a state full
of people that are good herded and good natured people
that wouldn't take advantage of the system. The statistics would
tell you otherwise. Fraud does exist. Crime exists. You can
see it. You're at the top of the chain. You
know that it's happening, and it's your obligation as the
governor to make sure that you are safeguarding the taxpayers
(28:47):
dollars against fraud, crime, embezzlement, theft, especially when it's your policies.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
I was just.
Speaker 10 (28:57):
Curious that there's any way that the state could now
retract that program before it started. Is there anything we
can do, or the taxpayers or anything to just get
rid of that program before we start losing more and
more and more money.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
You'd have to go and take care.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I don't know what the actual technical mechanism would be
to remove the program, but it's it's all listen, that
is a non starter.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
We'll talk to.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Walt, to Representative Walter Hudson about this tomorrow. We'll get
we'll get his thoughts on it. But that's already a
non starter because you already had Democrat business owners last
year who at a time during the session came in
and just wanted a temporary pause on paid family medical leave,
(29:48):
just to delay it until they got more details worked
out because of the growing concerns about how of how
much this is going to hurt businesses, and it just
completely was ignored by Democrats. Unfortunately, right now, until the
program is implemented and we see the disastrous repercussions, I
(30:08):
don't think Democrats are going to pull back on.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Any of this at this point in time.
Speaker 11 (30:15):
Good morning, John. Is it just me or has anybody
noticed how much weight that Governor Wallace has been losing?
I mean, it's kind of sudden and it appears to
be significant.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
I just assume it's the injections. This is what the
semi glue tide is that what they call them. I
just whenever I see an individual now who has lost
a bunch of weight in a relatively short period of time.
I mean, if somebody use that, that's fine. I prefer
to go the more traditional route, which is what I'm
doing right now. I got a plan underways, what I'm
(30:49):
doing right now. I'm looking at Devin. I got a
plan right now. So I'm eating really I try to
eat really healthy anyways, but I've really sort of limited
my calorie intake. Okay, but I've set myself up a deadline.
So I've been going now for a week and I've
already dropped a couple pounds. Are really excited about this,
already feel better about myself. But see, I'm going until
the eighteenth. To the eighteenth is then the start of
(31:09):
my vacation, because I want to be able to enjoy
myself on vacation. So my plan is once I get
on vacation, because I'm pretty much calorie counting right now,
when I get on vacation, I'm still going to calorie count,
but I'm just going to calorie count at that maintain
calorie level so they can just keep the weight off,
but I.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Can still enjoy myself. Saying, I think it's a very
very sound plan. You're fascinating to talk to.
Speaker 11 (31:36):
John regarding the unvetting of that murderous person from Afghanistan.
Do you know how many hoops you have to jump
through to get a real ID, The amount of documentation
an American citizen who's lived here their whole life has
to bring into the DMV to get a real ID. Yeah,
driver's license. It's insane. Yet this guy and so many
(31:59):
others just walk across our border and everything's good.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
I mean, we could provide thank you for the h
d M, thank you for the for the talkback. You
could provide so many different examples. Logan just got a car.
He about a used car. He's been driving around, a
vehicle that's been it's been with us for quite a
while now, and it's on it's it's on its last legs.
(32:22):
And I know this because the stains in the driveway
keep reminding me.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
That it's on its last legs. It's steering fluid apparently,
so it's going to be arriving this week.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
He had to jump through more hoops to get that
vehicle than most people do. When it comes to immigrating
into the country, or more specifically, creating one of these
programs that turns out to be massively fraudulent. All right,
So here's more from Ilhan Omar claiming that Trump was
demonizing an ethnic group, warning of the dangers of violence
(32:55):
from his followers. Tapper Head asked her, what is the
practical impact when a press into the United States demonizes
an entire group of people based on ethnicity, and Omar said,
I mean, it creates fear, and there is a possible
danger that a lot of people who follow the president
have exhibited violence in many cases, and so there is
(33:16):
a fear not just for Somali's not just for Minnesota,
but across the country that some of these people might
attack and harm them. So Representative Ilhan Omar is afraid
that Trump's comments could bring about violence and individuals that
hear it. That's really interesting, especially when you consider this
(33:36):
story from the Daily Wire. A fifty four year old
man has been arrested after carrying out a self described
terrorist attack by throwing molotov cocktails at security officers outside
of a federal building in California that houses Immigrations and
Customs enforcement officials.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
But you did to hear about this story, did you,
Jose Francisco.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Hovell accused by federal investigators of carrying out the attack
motivated by opposition to Trump's administration's crackdown on the legal immigration.
He who lives in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, Representative
Ilhan Omar. The case exemplifies how misleading and hateful rhetoric
(34:21):
against federal law enforcement can and does a result in violence.
According to the First Assistant United States Attorney Bill Assali,
irresponsible rhetoric by politicians and activists have real world consequences
and it must stop. Oh and just to add the
point that I'm sure you were already thinking, The Department
(34:42):
of Homeland Security said that Hovell has a criminal history
and includes arrest of attempted murder in eighty seven, robbery
with a firearm in nineteen ninety one, mullust molesting a
victim under the age of eighteen, and two thousand and
seven as well. All right, coming up, we'll get comments
from the iHeartRadio app. We have an immigration headline round up. Locally,
(35:04):
we'll hear from Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan as she acts
like she's very concerned over what is taking place right now,
Make no mistake, the Trump administration needs to continue to
enforce the rule of law.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
But it really it's the Christmas season.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
But it really is Christmas for the leftist Democrat activists
right now as they take to social media to post
their selfie videos acting like they're just so outraged by
everything that's taking place. It's all coming up an hour
two here on Twin City's News Talk AM eleven thirty
and one oh three five FM.
