Speaker 1 (00:00):
All situations.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Morning, John, Happy Monday, Happy Thanksgiving week. Well, we surely
ripped off the Somalia sized band aid over the weekend,
didn't we enjoy hashing that out? Also, I really like
my flag back now, thank you.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
So, how did Minneapolis respond to the seismic news here
in Minnesota that President Donald Trump was looking to end
the contemporary protected status for really a handful of individuals

(00:45):
from Somali. There was a potluck I'm not even kidding
pot luck put on in support of Somali community after
Trump's call to end to This is where we start
on our Monday morning It's Twin Cities News Talk Am

(01:06):
eleven thirty one to three five FM on your Thanksgiving Week.
My name is John Justice. In the booth next door
is Sam and you this morning. Thank you George for
the I Talk Back on the iHeart Radio app. We
do have much to cover on the show today. We
will start off a bit about what has transpired since

(01:27):
Trump said that he would be stopping the temporary protecting status,
what that means. We have a lot of audio to
share Marjorie Taylor Green quitting Trump's response to that. We
have Senator Elizabeth Slotkin admitting there's no illegal orders. We'll
talk a little socialism. Trump and Mom Donnie at the

(01:48):
White House. Minneapolis police chief had to apologize after he
was specific relating to who was causing the majority of
crime in Minneapolis. But, as we will navigate on the
show this morning, you simply cannot call out specific demographics,
regardless of how factual the information might be. Sunday, people

(02:10):
packed into the Carmel Mall in Minneapolis for a potluck
in solidarity with the Somali community. Yes, that's right. Working
off of a story here from Caro Levin on the
fourth floor of Carmel Mall in Minneapolis, people of all
different backgrounds came together on Sunday for a potluck in
support of Somali Minnesotan That's nice, That's very kind of them.

(02:35):
Pastor Martha Bardwell of Our Savior as a Lutheran Church
in Minneapolis said, I honestly can't think of anything more American,
more Minnesotan than a potluck. This is what being neighbors
is all about. And yet our president would have us
believe us non Somalis, believe that Somalis are terrorizing our communities,

(02:57):
and we know that's not true. On's not at all
what the president did be that isn't me. Our job
is to stay as neighbors in a community, stay united,
to love this state, said Ali Goshan, a community leader
and business owner. We are the first to stand for Minnesota,

(03:18):
and we are the first to defend and we're here
to stay now. The potluck was put on in response
to President Donald Trump's announcement, as I mentioned on True
Social Friday, that he was terminating the temporary protected status
for Samali's in Minnesota. The President called Minnesota a hub
of fraudulent money wandering activity. The article from Caro Levin

(03:41):
then writes he went on to say, without providing evidence,
that Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great
state and billions of dollars are missing. Well, sure he
didn't provide evidence, but perhaps you should go and talk
with the Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara, who had to
apologize last week for actually again pointing out to East

(04:01):
African kids causing the majority of the problems that they've
been dealing with in downtown Minneapolis. And of course, this
all comes on the heels of the story that broke
last week from the City Journal of your taxpayer dollars
being sent overseas to fund terrorist activities by organizations like
Al Shabab. In response, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer said,

(04:25):
thank you, mister President. He posted that on x Amina Addon,
the community leader with Isaiah, said, I am deeply disappointed
in the President's attack on our community. There was no attack.
Instead of addressing the real issues that families are facing,
like the rising cost of living, childcare, education, healthcare, the
president chose to target our community. Now, according to a

(04:49):
congressional report, there are currently seven hundred and five Somalis
in the country that are under the temporary protective status. Well,
it's hard to h point in exact number. This effects
roughly four hundred Somali migrants in Minnesota. Okay, So that's

(05:10):
not the point of what Trump did, And this is
what we'll be getting into on the show this morning,
because relatively speaking, those that are pushing back on this
are correct. It's a small number of individuals and there's
nothing to say that these particular migrants in Minnesota under
the temporary protected status were involved in any of this fraud.

(05:32):
But that's not the point.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
Now.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I don't know whether or not President Donald Trump was
considering this when he made this move. I'm of the
impression that Trump wanted to do something immediately to address
the situation, but more specifically and honestly, more importantly, to
address the problem and allow individuals to be able to
speak more openly about this problem without having to be

(05:57):
concerned over reprised and criticism and labels of pointing out
a particular demographic that has been the majority of individuals
involved in the fraud here in Minnesota. By the way,
this whole temporary protected status was going to end in

(06:19):
March of next year. So at this point I almost
wish the president, I think you could actually do this,
can say okay, fine, I'll tell you what. I will
not end it now. We'll just end it in one
hundred and ten days when it was going to end
in the first place, and in the meantime mission accomplished.
We can now have a more open conversation about what

(06:40):
is really taking place here in Minnesota. The solution, I
don't want to bury the lead on this as we
navigate everything that's transpired. The solution to the problem is
holding people accountable to the letter of the law, regardless
of their background. That's it. There's nothing racist, inherently racist

(07:01):
about that. Nothing inherently racist about pointing to the facts
of a given situation, which may include specific demographics and
groups of people. But the solution isn't to arbitrarily go
and target people. No, it's to make sure that if
people broke the law, then you hold them accountable and

(07:22):
not turn a blind eye, which is what DHS under
Governor Tim Walls has been doing. Not turned a blind
eye to the fraud that is clearly taking place right
in front of you. The first line of defense in
all of this should have been the government. The moment
that these programs exploded. In terms of the amount of

(07:43):
money that was being requested to these social service programs
created by Democrats and those requests coming into the state,
this all could have been avoided, and the reason why
is part of the problem. Because Democrats were too upset

(08:04):
to make large groups of individuals in the most densest
areas here in Minnesota that are largely responsible for ushering
in the small minority victories in size of Democrats throughout
the recent elections, so they turned a blind eye to
the problem. Well, now it simply cannot be ignored anymore,

(08:24):
So we thank you, President Donald Trump. A lot of
audio to share coming up. I have a clip from
Representative Tim Bershette talking about this very issue. One and
twenty seven Democrats refused to vote to to condemn the
horrors of socialism, speaking of which fantastic exchange is Zohron Mamdani,
speaking of socialists, visited the White House on Friday. I'll

(08:48):
share that with you and we'll get to your talkbacks
as well. Those are already rolling into the iHeartRadio app.
Your talkbacks are brought to you by Lyndahl Realty, and
we'll get to those next Happy Monday. On your Thanksgiving
week you're listening to Twinsday's new Talk AM eleven thirty
and one O three five FM. Good morning, and I
love your show. All right, we'll get to your talk

(09:13):
back shortly here on Twin Cities News Talk regarding the
big news heading in into the weekend, and then as
President Donald Trump wanting to halts of the temporary protected
status for some all the immigrants here in Minnesota, and
we'll break down all the details. There's a lot of
ground to cover. Christy Nome travel to the state yesterday.

(09:35):
We'll have that story to share with you and as
I mentioned, your thoughts as well from the iHeart Radio
brought to you by Lindahl Realty here on Twin Cities
News Talk Am eleven thirty one oh three five FM
from the sixty five to one carpet plus next Day
install studios before we do that. A vote to condemn
the Horrors of Socialism passed on a mostly party line

(09:59):
vote on Friday. Ninety eight Democrats voted against it, one
hundred and ninety nine Republicans voting for it. The resolution symbolic,
sponsored by Representative Maria Alavera Salazar out of Florida, read
socialism has repeatedly led to famine, mass murders, and the
killing of over one hundred thousand people worldwide, and recognizes

(10:23):
many of the greatest crimes in history were committed by
socialist ideologues.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
Oh hell yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
This morning, the House will vote on my resolution condemning
the horrors of socialism, and the urgency could not be greater.
My resolution lays out undeniable historical facts one hundred plus
million lives destroyed under socialist regimes. Stalin Mao Castro socialist
idea logus. Salazar, who is of a Cuban American background

(10:54):
represents a Miami area district. The resolution culminates the commitment
that Conger denounces socialism in all its forms and opposes
implementation of socialist policies in the United States. After the vote,
Representative Andy Biggs out of Arizona wrote on x one
hundred Democrats just refused to condemn the horrors of socialism.

(11:16):
There were no poison pills in this resolution. There are
one hundred plus socialism sympathizers in the United States and
representatives despicable, he went on to say, and again largely symbolic,
but it does much like what President Donald Trump did.
It does continue to allow the conversation surrounding individuals running

(11:42):
as self proclaimed socialists and the dangers that it brings.
It puts us in a position where we can have
these conversations that the left does not want to have.
And this is largely what Trump and his TPS desires,
and it did. Over the weekend. The media simply could

(12:03):
not ignore the report that we talked about in great
detail Friday from the City Journal regarding your taxpayer dollars
funding terrorist organizations. And I'll share with you the level
of coverage that local media actually gave to that specific
issue while they worked tirelessly to try to paint Donald

(12:23):
Trump in the worst light as possible, which doesn't come
as a surprise to anybody speaking of socialist though President
Donald Trump in New York City Mayor elect Zohron, Mom
Donnie turned around their heated criticism and remarks to the
press after an Oval office meeting that took place on Friday,
working off an article from The Minnesota Reformer. After months
of attacking each other, Trump and Mom Donnie pledged to

(12:45):
address the high cost of living for New Yorkers. The
White House has tried to steer messaging toward affordability in
recent weeks as Trump's approval ratings on the economy have sunk.
According to the Minnesota Reformer, a lot of very positive
things to say about Mom Donnie. He did that intentionally.

(13:06):
There's no point in bickering or feuding at this point.
Mom Donnie got elected. Trump wishing Mom Donnie the best
of luck doesn't mean that Trump supports a socialist or
communist policies. He genuinely probably wants to see New York
do well, even though Trump knows full well that under
Mom Donnie's policies, it's just not possible. So you disarm

(13:27):
Mom Donnie and an individual like that, you don't give
them any place to go in terms of their criticism.
And to that point, the way that Trump handled this situation,
specifically regarding Mom Donnie on Friday, wherein a reporter asks

(13:53):
whether or not Zohra on Mom Donnie. They're both standing
next to each other. Trump is sitting behind the desk
in the Oval office. Mom Donnie is standing there next
to him, and she goes and asks him, you call
Trump a fascist? Do you still feel this way? Here's
how the whole response went down.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Are you a ferman that you think Trump's a fascist?

Speaker 1 (14:09):
I've spoken about Okay, okay, it's easier than explaining a mettle.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
But so it was tough to hear what happened. But
the reporter asked, hey, do you still feel that Trump
is a fascist? And Trump, knowing that Mom Donnie was
going to go on a word salad rant regarding that
past comment, basically just completely disarmed him and saying, dude,
just say yes, because Trump knows the moment he leaves

(14:38):
the White House, though, Ron Mam Donnie's going to go
back to criticizing Trump, calling him the names and the
labels that he calls him. That's what a real leader does.
He's like, dude, just just say just say it. I
know the people of New York elected you. I'm not
going to undo that. I know you don't like me.
We disagree on our policies, So why waste everybody's time

(15:02):
Just call me a fascist? I don't care. I thought
it was a brilliant move by Trump, and of course
he doesn't get any credit for it. That should have
been headline news alone. He did such a great job
in handling that. In the meantime, as you know, Mom
Donnie campaign to lower the cost of living, including property
tax reform, making buses free, and floating the idea of

(15:22):
city run grocery stores. Much of what Mam Donnie ran on, however,
he simply cannot accomplish. The mayor of New York does
not have that type of power. As a matter of fact,
he's still having to resort to begging for money because
he knows full well that he doesn't have the funds
to go and implement what he wants to implement. So

(15:45):
now he's airing multiple ads. He's won the election, We're
heading into the holidays and Mom Donnie is running multiple
ads begging for money only three weeks after winning the election.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Remember how I told you a few months ago to
stop sending us money again. This transition requires staff, research,
and infrastructure that can meet this moment. Still asking for
your help because we need to raise four million dollars
in total, so January first can be the day we
start to deliver, not start to prepare. I hope very
soon not to have to ask you for money, but
until then, I'm asking thieves. They are changing the air.

(16:19):
It is crisp, But one thing that says the same
is we still need you to donate.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
You get what you elect, all right? Your comments from
the iHeartRadio app coming up in just a moment on
Twin Cities News Talk. Got a few other stories before
we return back to the ending of temporary protected status
and the fallout from that. Tennessee Democrat candidate multiple times
gets caught with her foot in her mouth. If this

(16:51):
woman ends up getting elected, which is going to be
very interesting to watch in Nashville, If Yahoo's like this
can still get elected, then yeah, we're in a lot
bigger trouble than even I think you or I realize. Also,
Michigan Senator Alyssa slocke In admits Trump has an issue
any illegal orders, which raises the question of why they

(17:12):
potentially committed an active sedition by putting out that video
that caused so much controversy last week. It's all coming up.
On Twin City's News Talk Am eleven thirty and one
oh three five FM, they have what's called a Trump
derangement problem. Have you heard about that problem? HERT radio
station from the six y five to one Carpet plus

(17:34):
Next Day Install studios. My name is John Justice, and
the master control booth next door here on Twin City's
News Talk is Sam. I'm glad you're with the show
this morning. X. I don't know when they did this,
but it went viral over the weekend. Took me a

(17:54):
minute to find it. But on your X account now
you can click if you go to somebody's profile, like
I'm on mine right now, and you go down to
the last thing in the profile where it shows when
you joined. There's a little arrow. You can click the
arrow and then it opens up about your account and

(18:15):
in it it has date joined and then it has
account based in whatever location for me in this case
and verified right and then connected via United States app store.
So what has happened here is that this has exposed
a lot of individuals who have prominted accounts suddenly. Now
people are realizing that they're placed in other countries and

(18:39):
even prominent conservative accounts, which immediately you see responses to
those accounts individuals who run those accounts saying, oh, by
the way, I know it says as as the accounts
based in Japan, but it's just because that's when I
first signed up for Twitter. It was in I know, oh,

(18:59):
I know, it's backstand, but it's just I happened to
be traveling abroad when I decided to side up, but
I wouldn't to let people know about my travels. However,
there is there is a completely made up now new
elitist category that you can put yourself into, and that
is if you have an X account that's been around
for a significant amount of time, because it also says

(19:20):
how many times you've changed your handle. Okay, so if
you have an account based in the United States and
you've never changed your handle since you signed on, you
can count yourself as one group of elitists. Got it.
I'm only mentioning it because I fall into that category.
I actually got John Justice and I just left. I

(19:41):
haven't changed it since. So there, very very proud of myself,
you know what. Just yeah for small victories. That's right,
That's what I'm saying. Right, So check I was, I was,
I was concerned.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
I was.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
I knew I verified any understates. But I'm like, oh,
what is mine going to say that I routed through?
That I do it when I was on a vp
And that's another good excuse. Right when I signed up,
I was on a VPN. That's why it says that
I was registered in Siberia.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Right, says John Justice from Indiana instead of Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Right right. Okay, let's go here, got a lot of
your comments rolling in. Don't worry. We're going to get
to Trump and the temporary protected status to just have
a little bit more ground to cover as we get
caught up on things from over the weekend. This woman
here is going to be very interesting to watch. If
y'all who's like this can still get elected, and I
do not put it past voters to elect people like this,

(20:34):
then you know, at least the region of Nashville Tennessee
is in deep trouble. Democrat congressional hopeful often Ben or
is it being I don't care did not hold back
when describing how she really feels about Nashville, the city
she's now running to represent. In a twenty twenty podcast

(20:55):
that's resurfaced just days before the December two special election,
she had this to say about how much she hates
Nashville and she's running to be Nashville's representative.

Speaker 6 (21:08):
It's been heavily involved with the Nashville.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
Mayoral race because I hate the city.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I
hate country music.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
I hate all of the things that.

Speaker 6 (21:19):
Make Nashville barely.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
I hate city to the rest of the country, I
hate it.

Speaker 6 (21:24):
Yeah, I'm that girl at the airport that all these
bachelorettes are giddy walking out and.

Speaker 7 (21:27):
There in their two tone colored pant town pink shirts
and they walk out, I'm like, like, oh got nationale
so loud?

Speaker 3 (21:36):
She is the definition of a Karen in more newly
uncovered audio from twenty twenty three, often being mocked at
Tennessee as being a god forsaken state.

Speaker 8 (21:51):
Trump has called you the AOC of Tennessee and Republicans
have resurfaced. Oh comments you made, comments you made about
not liking country music. What's your response to these Republican attacks.

Speaker 7 (22:07):
Yeah, as a Nashvillian, I think we all get a
little annoyed with the tourists that come to town. But
that doesn't mean I love my city. In fact, instead
of sitting on the sideline and complaining about it, I
decided to run for office and that's why I'm the
state representative that represents downtown Nashville.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
And my apologies, that was actually her. I mixed up
my clips here and that was on me. That was
the clip wherein she had a slip of the tongue
saying that it doesn't mean that she loves the city.
With talking with Al Sharpton, this is the one where

(22:44):
she talks about Tennessee being God Forsagan.

Speaker 9 (22:47):
Last week, we you know, we had this great show.
We had Anderson Clayton. She's a North Carolina Democratic Party
chair and she came out of that rule organizing tradition,
which obviously is your your big focus. And I want
to ask you a little bit about her and a
little bit but first before I get to that, I'm
sure people would love to know a little bit about you.

(23:07):
Who you are, how you what you do at role
organizing dot org, and how you got into that Atlanta work.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Yeah, I love it.

Speaker 6 (23:15):
So I have an unconventional background. I'm a social worker,
but on the public policy side. And I was actually
working in Europe when Trump was elected, and unlike a
lot of my colleagues, decided to move back to Eastnesse
where I grew.

Speaker 9 (23:31):
Up after Grope was elected. Yeah, after Trump was elected, right, yes.

Speaker 6 (23:36):
Right right, not not quite the common route. And I
remember taking my parents out to eat and telling them
I want to get into Tennessee politics. And my mom
started sobbing at the table and she said, You're never
supposed to move back to God for sake in East Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Being a Democrat state representative former healthcare community organizer, is
running against the Republican none, Matt Vanepps to represent the
seventh congressional district there. The winner will secede former GOP
Representative Mark Green, who resigned from office in June to
take a private sector job. The district, which is located
in central and western Tennessee, stretches from Kentucky to Alabama

(24:18):
and it is solidly read. President Donald Trump carried the
district by twenty two points in his twenty twenty four
White House of victory. So at this point in time,
you just wonder whether or not she's just trying to
go and make a name for herself. Republican groups are
pouring plenty of resources into the special election to avoid
the possibility of a major upset and protect the GOP's

(24:40):
current razor thin twenty nineteen to twenty fourteen majority in
the House. He had a comment that rolled in regarding
Mom Donnie and a visit to the White House. By
the way, a Mandannie folders more proof that.

Speaker 10 (24:53):
Our education system is a complete failure five failure to
teach how our government.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Now, I listen, I agree with you. The interesting thing
about Mom Donnie is you're right, and I don't want
to push back on your assessment. There. We do have
a failure to teach how our government works. But it
speaks to individuals just lack of wanting to do any
sort of comprehensive research on their own. It's really easy

(25:23):
to go and vote for an individual who says he's
going to give you all kinds of free stuff and
better your life. By giving free stuff. But if you
don't go and do your homework, which falls into the
category of what the talkback said, listen, that's on you.
But it just tells you how blindly ignorant so many
individuals are when supporting a particular candidate. Taking of ignorant.

(25:47):
Senator Alyssa Slotkin admitted on Sunday to her knowledge that
she was not aware that President Donald Trump had issued
an illegal order to US military service members. Was on
with Martha Raddits on ABC and here's the exchange where
Raddits asked her directly about those illegal orders. I'm rad

(26:09):
so let's talk right now.

Speaker 11 (26:11):
Do you believe President Trump has issued any illegal orders?

Speaker 12 (26:15):
To my knowledge, I am not aware of things that
are illegal, But.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
Because he hasn't, I don't want to rehash everything that
we covered regarding this particular issue and the video of
her and other prominent elected Democrats telling our military and
law enforcement to disobey illegal orders. But again, this is
that free speech separation that we're talking about. You see,

(26:43):
Alissa Slotkin and the others, they're propagandists. They want members
of our military to believe that an illegal order is
simply something that they may disagree with even though there's
nothing illegal about it. So they say ignore illegal orders,
and then they'll leave it up to other individuals at
a different point in time to share their opinion about

(27:06):
something that Trump directs and saying it's illegal even though
it's just an opinion. They want to sew chaos and discord.
It's something that we'll talk about next hour when we
get into the response to Trump wanting to end the
temporary protected status, because there are individuals that believe, for example,

(27:29):
that Governor Tim Walls still has an opportunity to win
next year. And I'm not saying he doesn't, but he's
damaged right now. And the Star Tribune is saying as much.
Coming off the heels of what I was saying last week,
there's a big possibility he is not the Democrat nominee
for governor, especially with all the news that broke last week.
As I was calling for and continue to call for
him to go and resign. But there are those that

(27:51):
still point to DC and they say, well, you know,
Walls can still ride a wave of frustration that Democrats
have because of the corruption and chaos taking place on
the national level coming out of the Trump administration. That
chaos is only there because of Democrats. They're the ones
causing all the chaos. If they just stood back and

(28:12):
let Trump do and I don't expect that they were
going to do this, but just by example, if they
would just allow Trump to move forward to hold people
accountable and enforce the law, there wouldn't be any chaos
apart from a handful of individuals that go in protest. No,
it's the Democrats that bring about that chaos. And of course,
in that article that we'll talk about, there is no
examples of corruption from the national level. That wasn't the

(28:35):
only takeaway clip from this exchange between Martha Raddits and
Alyssa Slotkin over the weekend. She defended the call for
military to defy the commander in chief's illegal orders, and
she did so by comparing consequences that troops might face

(28:56):
using the movie A Few Good Men in Nuremberg as
as examples.

Speaker 11 (29:01):
It is very clear that no one should follow an
illegal order, but it's very murky when you look at
what is an illegal order, and if you go into
morally ethically, that's a pretty tough thing to look at
and say, how do I navigate this I don't.

Speaker 12 (29:17):
I mean, look, you going back to Nuremberg, right that, Well,
they told me to do it.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
That's why I murdered people. Is not an excuse.

Speaker 12 (29:23):
If you look at popular culture, there's like you watch,
you know, a few good men like We have plenty
of examples since World War Two in Vietnam where people
were told to follow illegal orders and they did it
and they.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Were prosecuted for it.

Speaker 12 (29:37):
So the best thing for people to do is go
to their jag officer, their local law enforcement or illegal
officer in their unit, and ask for some explanation, ask
for help. And that's what we've been advising people to do.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
Says We're doing movie examples. Boy, I'm so glad that
space force exists because I saw what happened in Independence Day.
I mean, so it's a really a good thing that
we've got that that's space force in place, because when
the aliens arrive with nefarious intent, will be better prepared
for it. I just want to point that out. We

(30:11):
just got to make sure we have Randy Quaid on
standby true story. Nicely done, my friend. All right, President
Donald Trump on Friday again, just catching up all the
news from over the weekend. Talkbacks that are rolling in.
By the way, people are already very upset at me.
I must have hit a button. Trump on Friday said

(30:35):
it was great news that former GOP ally representative Marjorie
Taylor Green announced her resignation from Congress. By the way,
if you're online, if you're on X, you probably saw this.
But she waited just long enough to announce her resignation
so that she could reap all of the congressional benefits

(30:56):
that come with holding the seat in office. I don't
blame her, I mean it was you'd be dumb not
to if you're going to go and resign your resign
your seat. Clearly, she was one going to be primary
next year in two probably believes it's more lucrative for
her career to step aside from elected leadership. At this

(31:16):
point in time, there was some speculation that maybe she'll
end up running for the presidency. Please, by all means,
just for the mere entertainment value, I hope that EMPTG
does go and run for the for the nomination. All right,
moving over into the big news from Friday, We'll start

(31:37):
here because this has gone largely unreported, but it falls
into the same reason why Trump decided to say that
he wants to terminate the temporary protect the status for
Minnesota Somali's over fraudulent activities. This was largely due in
response to that City Journal article regarding the taxpayer money

(31:58):
heading overseas to on to terrorist organizations. Specifically, that City
Journal article said that Minnesota taxpayers were the primary funder
of Al Shabam, again largely unreported. President Donald Trump did
go on to clarify that he intends to classify the
Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization. Talking with Just

(32:22):
the News on Sunday, Trump said it will be done
in the strongest and most powerful terms. Final documents are
being drawn now. The President's move against the Muslim Brotherhood
comes less than a week after a similar move by
Texas Governor Greg Abbott. On Tuesday, the Republican governor designated
the group and the Council on American Islamic Relations as

(32:44):
foreign terrorist organizations and transnational criminal organizations. Abbot said the
Muslim Brotherhood and CARE have long made their goals clear
to forcibly impose Sharia law and establish Islam's mastership of
the world. The actions taken by the most Brotherhood and
Care to support terrorism across the globe and subvert our
laws through violence, intimidation, and harassment are unacceptable. The Council

(33:10):
has contested and sued Texas over the designation. Now, the
Muslim Brotherhood was founded back in nineteen twenty eight. You
got to go way way back long being connected with
violent extremist groups like Hamas. In its nineteen eighty eight charter,
Hamas identified itself as one of the wings of the
Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine. Now, while the Muslim Brotherhood groups

(33:33):
in the West, including the United States, have condemned the
use of violence. According to the Foundation for Defensive Democracies,
and this was the organization that counter terrorism expert and
now are AI analyst Davide Gartenstein Ross used to be
a member of the Foundation for Defensive Democracies. They said,
it's almost always born of prudence, not principle. Is in

(33:58):
the Muslim Brotherhood taking that stance of condemning the use
of violence. A Foundation brief on the organization written last
month said the Brotherhood tends to be far more conservative
than al Qaida and isis when calculating the probable cost
of a turn toward violence, its branches hesitate to risk

(34:19):
the wrath of national governments. The Brotherhood also places a
premium on remaining able to gradually promote its brand of Islam,
especially within Muslim majority countries. Doctor Charles asher Small had

(34:39):
this to say, founding director of the institute, said, this
is not simply a political movement, but a transnational ideological
project that adapts itself to Western systems while working to
undermine them. Listen, in a sense, the Muslim Brotherhood is
far more effective and therefore dangerous in a much more seductive,

(35:01):
nefarious way, as they seek to upend traditional Christian values
and what this country was founded upon. And also, much
like Trump calling out the temporary protective status, these moves
open up the opportunity to have these conversations that we
have not had out in the open as often as

(35:21):
we've as we should. All right, now they are all
up to speed. Let's get to the big news in
the morning. President Donald Trump announcing Friday night that he
is ending the special program for Somali nationals in Minnesota,
which partially shields them from deportation. Let's get to some

(35:41):
of your thoughts from the iHeart Radio app and we
will start. We will start here morning.

Speaker 10 (35:49):
Everybody, Happy Monday's chat from Delano. Yeah, with the Somali community.
Yeah Wow, you'd think that Keith Ellison would be all
over that. He's all over making sure you know there's
no crime or anything going on. Just look, he goes

(36:10):
after Fleet Farm for selling guns. Have a great day, everybody,
Happy Monday.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
Well, listen, seeing the singular focus of Trump's maneuvers here,
especially when you consider how relatively few immigrants it's actually
going to impact, it tells you all you need to
know about how very little the Democrats in Minnesota care
about fraud and more importantly and more specifically obeying the law.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
More and John Russ here, So I think it was
Caro Levin saying there's seventy nine thousand Somali's a mina soda,
And if you'd take the six billion dollars worth of
fraud divided by seventy nine thousand, you're looking at about
eighty thousand dollars worth of fraud perse Somali. Not saying
all of them commit fraud, but I mean there's the math.
So he's got a pretty nice stimulus check to support

(37:03):
terrorism and all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
So that's good.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Happy Monday, John, Happy Thanksgiving as well coming up. I
just thought I thought i'd say this is temporary protection status.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Well, the first word is temporary.

Speaker 4 (37:21):
I think some of these people have been protected since
ninety So what's temporary about it if they've been protected
for thirty plus years.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Yeah, this has been in place. He's right. This has
been in place since going back to nineteen ninety one.
And Trump could do the funniest thing today and say, Okay, fine,
I'm not going to end it right now. I'll just
go ahead and end it on when it was going
to expire next year on March seventeenth. More of your
comments coming up from the iHeartRadio app brought to you
by Lindahl Realty. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to Twin
