Speaker 1 (00:00):
Actually going to go back to my old stomping grounds

(00:02):
in Tucson, Arizona, and talk about their mayor two coming
up in a bit. Oh, I lied, I guess I
did tease. That's the only teacher gonna get though. This
comes from the Star Tribune. Jennifer Carnahan took over less
than a year ago as the mayor of Niswa.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
That was a bad choice.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
This tourist city in northern Minnesota is embroiled now in
controversy because it follows.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Jennifer Carnahan wherever she goes.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
You know, at some point, with all the controversies that
have surrounded Jennifer Carnahan, she really needs to stop and go.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Maybe it's me.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Isn't that a Taylor Swift song? The problem is me,
I think it is. One council member is actually calling
for her resignation. Carnahan was pushed out of her position
as chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota in twenty
twenty one. She did not attend a special meeting on
Wednesday to discuss her conduct. More than forty residents filled

(00:57):
the room, as the Star Tribute notes, the morning after
her a snowstorm that dubbed eight inches in the area,
probably an attempt to underscore the links that people.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Went to.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Express their frustration, and this was for council members and
said they were hoping Carnahan would be there so they
could better path forward, better find a path forward as
the city in the city amidst of dysfunction, there's been
a revolving door of staff leaving and the city is
now without an administrative clerk. I want to jump ahead
in the story though, because this sticks out to me.

(01:31):
Maggie Wentler, the city's finance finance as specialist in Niswa
who is filling the roles of administrator and clerk, said
there's a lot of tension at city Hall that she
has not seen in her twelve years with the city,
not at this level, not to this degree. They called

(01:52):
the special meeting after Carnahan recently claimed online that she
was physically assaulted by her resident. That resident had sent
Carnahan an email addressing what she felt was unfit conduct
for the mayor. The resident denied assaulting Carnahan. Prosecutors twice
declined to press charges. This is not an act of
violence against any city official. This is not a violation.

(02:14):
This is a violation of our code of conduct, said
one council member, Bruce London in an interview. So hard
for me not to say, Council, it's a train wreck,
and I think it's our responsibility to prevent this from
going further in this negative fashion. At the meeting on Wednesday,
one council member jesse's On called for Carnahan's immediate resignation.

(02:36):
She brought failed city politics to cabin country, and she's
burning the cabin down, talking head song.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Right, Oh that's the house, all right. Sam's just shrugging
to showers. I don't know, burning down the house. Ah chah,
you get okay, Come on, man, I know you haven't
been here for a few day.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Carnahan, who declined interviews after the meeting, provided a statement
to the Minnesota Star Tribune saying she will not resign.
Months of tension, infighting and accusations of Carnahan creating a
toxic workplace, which the Minnesota Republican Party accused her of
previously led up to the meeting. Some longtime staffers had
resigned since Carnahan took office. Two interim city administrators stayed

(03:24):
several weeks before resigning. I'm gonna make the point again,
at what point do you stop and go I'm creating chaos.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You're an adult. You've got to be able to recognize this.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
When you've had this many controversies follow you wherever you go,
when people start resigning, Like if I'm working on this
show and suddenly, you know, my producers just start dropping
like flies because of my behavior, I'd be like me,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
They're problem is they can't they can't take it. It
work someplace else. I'll run my own board. That hasn't
happened by the way.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Carnahan won her mayoral bid in November of twenty twenty
four by one hundred and thirty four book votes in
a town of roughly two thousand people. All Right, I
don't want to get too too far ahead of myself.
There's a few more details that I want to share
in this story as we dive into other news today. Again,
we do have a lot of ground to cover, including

(04:20):
we'll go down to the southwest. Raheina Romero or who
I used to call during my time in Tucson, Arizona, Raheina.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
What about the working poort Romero?

Speaker 1 (04:31):
This was back, This was back when she was a
lonely City Council member. She's now the mayor of Tucson.
She may actually be in big, big trouble for providing
location locations of ICE activity in her role as a mayor.
I'll give you details on that, and of course it

(04:52):
is a freedom Friday. We're going to take your on
and off a topic of comments from the ihearta radio app.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
All morning long.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
You can email me justice at iHeartRadio dot com. Your
talkbacks are brought to you by Lindahl Realty, and we
will get to those coming up in just a moment.
Right here on Twin Cities News Talk Am eleven thirty
and one oh three five FM, Good morning, and good
morning Trump.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Good morning, and I love your show on.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
Twin Cities News Talk Heya eleven thirty FM one O
three point five and on the free iHeartRadio.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
App corner, John Tim Kansas City, thanks for this form
allowing me to vent listening to the news for hours now.
And I'll bregover Garcia. They're saying that he was mistakenly deported.
He was not mistakenly deported. He was mistakenly sent to

(05:45):
El Salvador. He had a deportation order since twenty nineteen yep,
and then every other issue. The people that they have
on the air are all Democratic senators or representatives.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah, it's it's ridiculous. It is absolutely ridiculous. And thank
you for the talkback on a Freedom Friday, Tim, I
appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
On and off topic comments.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
All morning long here on Twin Cities News Talk from
the six to five to one carpet, Next Day install
Studios N one. Mayor Jennifer Carnahan facing call to resign
a mid controversy, one council member asked for the mayor's
immediate resignation. Carnahan, the former chair of the Minnesota Republican Party,
said that she refuses. Carnahan resigned as the state GOP

(06:28):
chair in twenty twenty one, and that was a week
after donor and ton Tony Lazarro was charged with sex
trafficking of miners. Carnahan had close ties with Lazarro, but
that I had any knowledge of his criminal activities. A
few months as mayor, Carnahan ran in a special Senate
primary in the state to fill the vacancy left by

(06:49):
former state Senator Justin Ekorn. I just Carnahan running for
that Senate seat given her past controversies and that seat
being available because of Ihorn's controversies.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
All of it's not.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
A good look for Republicans, in case you weren't aware
of that already. He resigned after being charged with the
sexual solicitation of a minor. One council member said that
he donated two thousand to her Senate campaign and eight
thousand to a political action committee supporting her because it
was clear to me that Niswa was a stepping stone

(07:26):
for Carnahan. After Carnahan lost the Senate race, thank goodness,
Zoon said, things changed and tensions grew inside of city
Hall over the proposed sales tax. The situation then escalated
with the assault allegation this fall.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Say what you want about this Carnahan lady, but at
least she's not throwing Tarangela's at people.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Is this the standard we're going by now, Hans, Because
that's not good either, John.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
She just doesn't understand denial. Isn't the river in Egypt?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
You know, come on, Lou, it's too early for those shows. Please.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
About half a dozen residents spoke out against Carnahan's behavior,
noting they were disappointed in what led up to the
meeting and her absence because she didn't show up. Now,
four council members said they will consider voting to censure
Carnahan or cast a vote of no confidence at his
next meeting. Carnahan said in her statement that any attempt
to censure is a political stunt, doing that thing with

(08:37):
my fingers. Asked what is feeding the tension and dysfunction
at city Hall, Carnahan said, I'm limited in what I
can say in my role as an elected official. Listen,
I just you know, for the sake of the GOP,
just stop, just stop.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Come on.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
It's a trend now in terms of the chaos that
follows this woman, and just like we talk about with
Tim Walls and anybody else who ends up abusing, in
my opinion, their position of power, showing a lack of leadership,
has this much controversy, Do the right thing for the
people around you and resign. Please realize you're the problem here.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
John An order for Jennifer Carnahan to realize she's the problem.
That means you have to have a good moral compass,
and I'm quite certain she's shown us that that does
not exist in her world. Have a great fangal freedom Friday.

Speaker 7 (09:38):
Of twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Thank you very much. I appreciate it, and I tend
to agree this.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Is a bummer because I wanted to fulfill this request.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Good morning, John, Tom from Hudson.

Speaker 8 (09:49):
You're doing the Carnahan's story, so please please please play
the Jenny song that you used to play every time
she came up.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Yeah, I don't have it anymore.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Unfortunately, went looking for it as the show started this morning,
and I was not able to track it down. But
I'll tell you what, I'll try to do you one better.
It's not Jenny from the block, but I think you'll
be pleased anyway.

Speaker 9 (10:19):
We have all seen him yelling in a megaphone, but
he don't have a lot to say about his wisp
couns and lice.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
He'll just say.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
These three words, like he says to his.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Girls, you gotta kiss the tip.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
See they're both about failed politicians, so it works.

Speaker 9 (10:41):
Sha la la la la la. Don't now wispans are
on the ground.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
You're saying, kissed the tip. Whoa whoa shalla.

Speaker 10 (10:49):
La la la la.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
My own mind.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
This guy too shy to tell you kissed it.

Speaker 10 (11:04):
Good morning, John, Merry Christmas to you, your family and
I hope you have a nice time off with your family.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Let me stop that real quick before Scott goes any further.
I'm so on next week. I knew that was going
to cause confusion. I was talking about it being the
final Freedom Friday here on Twin City's News Talk from
the sixty five one Carpet plus Next Day Install studios,
and I was like, I'm gonna have to preface that
I am on next week Monday through Thursday. I'm just
off next Friday. So I just want to make sure
that's clear.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Family.

Speaker 10 (11:30):
As to the people like Carnahan, you name it, these
politicians who are there to be important over useful. Back
in the day, we didn't act that way. And I
think it's when Bill Clinton came out with his scandal
that everything started going down the slippery slope of dishonesty
and Charlatan's infesting our political class.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
It's pathetic.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
You're right on the timing, Scott, but it wasn't Clinton.
I'll explain here in just a moment. Let me squeak
in one more one more talkback from the iHeartRadio app
brought to you by Lyndall.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Realty, and then we'll say good morning, to Max here.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Don't get me wrong, I love the sign, but for
whatever reason, it just gets stuck in my head. Yeah,
you know what, kiss the tip tends to tends to
do that. So I'll get back to Scott's comment here
in just a moment. But representative Max Rymer A long.

Speaker 11 (12:23):
Time no see my friends, goood morning.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
A lot's happened since you've since you You've only been
gone a couple of weeks, but it feels like a
lifetime has happened at the time you've been out.

Speaker 11 (12:33):
That's that's what happens. It's like every week is a
new year.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Basically to Scott's point, just really quick, you know, it's
less about Clinton and.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
It really is just more about.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
The explosion of the Internet, group think taking hold, social
media views being reinforced, everybody sharing their opinions online. You
have these bubbles that form, and that's that's more of
where this comes from. Because I don't care what kind
of controversy you're embroiled in. If you are clever enough

(13:05):
to frame things a particular way, you can bring a
group of supporters to your side, even if you are
in the in the wrong. And we've seen this play
out time and time again. I'm not going to get
into one on the show. But the controversy's swirling right
now around Candace Owens is it's just it's it's it's
it's insane, and she has her group of individuals that

(13:28):
have rallied around her dug their heels in while she
continues to spread these horrible rumors. But just as a
as a case in point, so I don't want to
wipe out.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
On it too much.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
But well, what's the old adage that politics is Hollywood
for ugly people?

Speaker 11 (13:41):
And never has that been more true?

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Right, you do have, and I've always as a legislator
now I'm acutely aware of it'd be so easy to
be an influencer. It'd be so easy to go and
pop off on a certain topic and go viral and
that kind of thing. So it's something I'm aware of
as I'm a legislator that, hey, I still take this
to be a pretty serious job with serious consequences depending

(14:06):
on my decisions, and not many people view it that
that way. It really has become a way to get
into the bloodstream of politics, has been a way to
get famous and look no further than Cannis Owans I mean,
this is disturbing. What's happening.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Well, with great power, you know, comes great responsibility. You're
spot on when it comes to influencers. We'll talk talk
a little, Hope Walls, she's taking a break, oh from
posting to no.

Speaker 11 (14:35):
Thanks, thanks, thanks for letting us know, Hope Walls, it is.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
It is.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
We'll get to it after Grace gets here at the
top of the hour here on Twin Cities News Talk.
But yeah, in typical Hope Walls fashion, it's incredibly ridiculous.
But to your point, in the time that I've been
posting on the Chinese spyware app, you know grown, you know,
I've grown to almost fifty thousand followers, and I can
tell you firsthand that you know, I post pretty consistently
on there, and a lot of time since basically ninety

(15:01):
second sound bites of commentary that I'm doing on the
on the show. But it is a separate audience. But
now I understand further. You're right, it is relatively easy,
you know, to to to generate. You know, I'm not
making you know, a ton of money off the app
by any stretch, but based off of my you know,
paltry numbers, compared to actual influencers that are making a

(15:24):
living off of this. I completely completely understand now.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Right, Yeah, And I've done I've done content in the past,
and I'll continue to do content. I did a video
last week or a week and a half ago on
the property tax increases, and we talked about it last
time I was on the show, and that thing. That
thing popped off, right, But I'm not gonna for me,
I'm not going to put out content unless I think
that it's need to know. Basis right, because it is easy.

(15:53):
The algorithms have made it easy. If you have something
that people want to hear, it's going to get out there.
And while that is an amazing thing and I'm thankful
for it, it's also it's also kind of a scary
thing because we've elevated a bunch of a bunch of
crazy people.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Yeah yeah, and a lot of people have shifted, you know,
they found a lane. That lane serves them, It becomes
you know, financially lucrative, and you just continue down down
that path. It's a lot more at least from my perspective,
it's a lot more prominent within pop culture. We've seen
this when it comes to fandoms of different of different ips,

(16:31):
but the same thing also happens in politics as as well.
And speaking of social media, lips of TikTok brought this
to my attention, and thanks to you know, a long
time a longtime friend of the show for raising this
awareness of what's been taking place in my former neck
of the woods. So I got to say thanks to
t ken King for posting this. So there's DHS rumors

(16:55):
right now that Rahina Romero, she's the Democrat mayor of Tucson,
has now been refer to the DOJ for potential obstruction
of justice charges.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Reason being is that through her.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Official capacity as the mayor of Tucson, Arizona, she put
out a press statement saying federal agents are currently active
on Miracle Mile. Miracle Mile is a stretch in a
very prominent historical stretch in Tucson, Arizona, saying the federal
agents are currently active on Miracle Mile. You have the

(17:27):
right to protest and document these activities. It's important you
remain peaceful while doing so. The Trump administration wants to
create fear and chaos in our community. Please stay safe
and do not physically engage with the agents. The problem
with that is that she's essentially doxing ICE's live location
through an official capacity of the as the mayor of Tucson.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
And you did have some controversy with an app that
got created a few I believe several months ago, where
it was live tracking Ice locations, and you had politicians
sharing that and getting in hot water for the same thing.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
This current mayor Raheina Romero. I think she goes by regime.

Speaker 11 (18:04):
When did she get elected?

Speaker 1 (18:06):
So this was a number of years ago, is after
I got here, because I followed her career she started off,
and this happens all the time, so it's not a
huge surprise, but it's part of the machine. She started
off as just a staffer within Democrat circles and was
identified early on, and they spun her out of you know,
local districts. She ended up becoming just sort of a

(18:28):
secondary character on the Tucson City Council, where I first
coined the phrase, and then slowly rose her way up
the ranks to the mayor of Mayor of Tucson. I
used to call her Rahina what about the working part
Romero because that was her whole stance. It was always
what about the working poor, So that was my moniker
for her at the time.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
It seems like she might have rebranded away from the
working poor to actually boxing federal agents pretty much.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Yeah, yeah, she's atrocious, absolutely atrosis. So we'll see what
ends up happening regard this. Walls reached out yesterday. I
didn't get a chance to talk about it.

Speaker 11 (19:06):
Reached out to the shew no.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
He reached out to the.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Department of Homeland Security Secretary of Christy Nome urging a
review of Immigrations and Customs enforcement operations in Minneapolis after
citizens were detained by federal agents. We I talked about
this quite a bit yesterday and the ability Democrats have
to go and create this scenario where suddenly, this one
thing that's taking place they act like has never happened before.

(19:30):
This whole citizen's arrest is not an issue. Citizens get
arrested all the time. You obstruct justice, you get arrested.
But suddenly, now the framing of this is because it's
ICE agents. It helps perpetuate the Gestapo being Ice mentality
to say they're arresting citizens.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Well, yeah, sayss get arrested.

Speaker 11 (19:49):
They got a job to do this.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
This is not any you know, this is not any
breaking news, and these individuals are the ones that aren't
doing what Ice says.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
But of course, you know, Walls wants to go and
steer attention away from all the controversies that have been
dominating the headlines.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
And so he's urging Christy Nome to.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
You know, back off, reassess what they've been doing, and
look at the constitutionality of ICE's effort.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
I'm guessing these citizens were not arrested and then immediately
deported back to a country they're not from, right, No, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
They weren't even charged.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
I had somebody online yesterday, Max that was pushing back
on sort of the procedural aspect of what was taking
place with these individuals.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
You had Sue Tincher earlier this week.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
We chronicled her as she answered the call via her
signal app through a well funded activist group as being
an individual who is what do they call him, oh
ICE observer patrols. She didn't listen to Ice, she got
detained and released, wasn't charged. And then this hobbi is

(20:51):
sheer guy yesterday who was doing all the press conferences,
the same thing happened to him. And I had somebody
pushing back, going, well, why aren't they charging them if
they obstructed justice and they're not being charged. Clearly they didn't,
And I'm like, no Ice has one bigger fish to fry.
I'm glad they're not charging these individuals. They are setting
a precedent that if you get in our way, you're
going to be detained. But they're also not going to

(21:12):
waste taxpayer dollars in paperwork on going and filing charges
against these individuals. They're simply trying to, you know, trying
to show them this is what happens if you get
in our way, we are going to take you.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
In and look at your background.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Well, and to your point, this is what happens with
local police all the time, right where you have a
maybe a routine stop and someone who's getting ornery or
somebody who's not involved in the investigation gets in the
way of the investigation. When people are arrested, it doesn't
mean that ICE is rounding up citizens now and like
I said before, deporting them to a country they're not from.

Speaker 11 (21:45):
That's not what's happening.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
But that is the insinuation of Tim Walls's letter and
some of the overt pushback against against federal law enforcement.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
So yesterday, speaking of Christy Nome, have some audio clips
I wanted to to share this morning. So anti ice
hecklers ended up disrupting disrupting Christy Nomes congressional testimony yesterday,
which is nothing compared to the ridiculous lines of questions
that she was receiving from Congressional Democrats during this particular hearing.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
So let's start here. A representative Shari Thanadar. You know who?
You know who? You know who?

Speaker 1 (22:26):
Yes, sure, yeah, he's the guy with that mop hair
and yeah, very very distinct perfect eyebrows.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
He does have very good I bress spends too much
money on the eyebrows.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
So he embarrassed himself, demanding the Secretary Christinom resign.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Here's how that exchange went down.

Speaker 12 (22:44):
I am sick of your lies. The American people are
sick of these lies. American people demand truth.

Speaker 13 (22:50):
America is very happy that finally they have a president
in the White House that gets up every day to
keep them safe.

Speaker 12 (22:56):
Madam Secretary, you're incompetence and your inability to truthfully carry
out your duties of Secretary of Homeland Security. If you're
not fired. Will you resign, sir?

Speaker 13 (23:07):
I will consider you're asking me to resign as an
endorsement of my work.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
I think you and I talked about this.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
One of the lots of times that you were on
Max is that she does not get enough enough credit. Yeah.
I know that she gets mocked for being, you know,
the the ice barbie and people giving her a hard time.
She may do botox and clams it up, but I
know does it may She's solid at this game doing.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
She's done a great job when she was and where
the conversation had led the last time we talked about
it was I was extremely skeptical when she was announced
for this position coming out of South Dakota, and it
was like, how is this going to work? But I've
been pleasantly surprised. I think she's doing a great job.
And I can't say that for every cabinet pick of
Donald Trump's.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Christy nom also.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Detonated the entire Democrat narrative during this meeting talking with
Representative Kennedy.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Here's here's how that exchange went down.

Speaker 7 (24:07):
The officials assessment that the United States has been operating
in a heightened threat environment for several.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Years now, Yes, yes or no?

Speaker 7 (24:17):
Would you say in New York City is susceptible to
these kinds of security threats?

Speaker 13 (24:21):
Yes, and that's why they should spend.

Speaker 12 (24:23):
With New York.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
One terrorist target in the national government gave them New.

Speaker 7 (24:28):
York City being their number one, New York City being
the number.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
One threatened this nation.

Speaker 7 (24:34):
They have, it's unconnctionable city. One hundred and thirty four
million dollars in Urban Area Security Initiative funding for the
City of New York. What compelled you to knowingly make
our cities less safe with these funding cuts?

Speaker 13 (24:49):
What compels you, your mayor and your governor to release
thousands of criminals on the streets rather than to turn
them over to Ice.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
You'd rather release.

Speaker 7 (24:58):
Murderer out of got thirty four million detainers? Honor our detainers,
support the sarity of.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
And the only good that these hearings do. And I
say this every single time we cover one. Right, it's
just because of the sound bites. They don't end up
accomplishing no anything during these hearings.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Now, there's been so many hearings with Trumpet administration officials,
I'm kind of sitting here going how much of their
raw time is taken up by by congressional hearings. It
seems like every day we have a new Trumpet official
that's going before Congress.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
And to the point that she was making yesterday, it
was revealed that Joe Biden allowed some eighteen thousand known
or suspected terrorists into the US, according to a top
official yesterday.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
This was the United States.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
The director of the United States National Encounter Terrorism Center,
Joe Kent, testifying to a House Homeland Security Committee meeting
on Thursday, and he revealed that that two thousand of
the eighteen thousand known or suspected terrorists who were let
into the country as part of the Biden administration to
bring Afghans into the United States following the botch withdrawal

(26:07):
of the from the war torn country. Also said that
the eighteen thousand number doesn't include the unknown number of
terrorists great the Biden administration allowed in after they crossed
the border.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
You know, and I have one more clip of Nome.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
But I bring this up because this is a part
of what ICE is doing right now, and this whole
controversy surrounding the ICE activity that's been taking place in
the Twin Cities. The only reason why there's any controversy
is because of the activists that are making it more
difficult for the ICE agents to go and do their job.
If you didn't have activists showing up, we wouldn't even

(26:40):
have any issue.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Half the people wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Even be aware ICE is going in in the late hours,
you know, of the evening, and they would be in
and out conducting their lawful search warrants and executing those
warrants and arresting these criminals without even the neighbors probably
even realizing until they were gone. If it wasn't for
these you know, citizen ICE observers is showing up and
getting an ICE's way, right.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
And again, if ICE is not going to put you
in handcuffs unless you're obstructing their work, I think that's
an important point to kind.

Speaker 11 (27:12):
Of hit on again.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
It's because what Tim Walls's letter and what these people
are insinuating is that ICE is just randomly arresting all
citizens because they hate liberals and they're going to deport
liberals to a foreign country. That's what the insinuation is here,
and that's just not the case.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Here's a one more clip from yesterday's Christy Nome hearing
Democrat representative of Benny Thompson referring to the attack on
the National Guardsman in DC as an unfortunate accident.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Listen to this response from Christy Nome.

Speaker 8 (27:47):
N CTC reference the unfortunate accident that occurred with National
guardsmen and Kio.

Speaker 13 (27:57):
You think that was an unfortunate accident, I mean this
is a terrorist.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Wait, look, I don't get this straight. Then you can
shot our National guardsman in the head.

Speaker 8 (28:05):
Look, mus Sam, will you direct witness to allow me
to ask my question? It was an unfortunate situation, but
you blamed it solely on Joe Biden.

Speaker 11 (28:19):
I just again, it was an unfortunate accident.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
This is how SNS pretty rich. Some people did some things.
If you remember that one from I see.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
This is why Democrats like maybe they get power back
one day, but this is why they are so out
of touch. Well why can you not acknowledge that that
was a terrorist attack on our federal law enforcement? How
how difficult is it for you to just call a
spade a spade? And they can't do it because they

(28:52):
feel like any concession whatsoever on immigration or on these
issues that Trump actually won on any con session on
the narrative or on what actually happened, means that you're
playing into the hands of the Republicans.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
I've said it for.

Speaker 11 (29:07):
A long time.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
If Democrats actually got like a left populist, almost like
a Bernie Sanders ish type, who still said you you
have a right to gun ownership, and we need to
close the.

Speaker 11 (29:19):
Borders, we'd be in trouble, you know. Or and then
maybe one more.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Concession where they say that men can't play in women's sports.
If you had a Democrat who came up and said
those three things, we need to close the border, you
have gun rights, and men can't play in women's.

Speaker 11 (29:34):
Sports, they'd be competitive.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
We'd be in trouble if we had a rising star
who was willing to concede that. But they are not
because they are so ideologically buried in this nonsense. Well,
and the common sense is removed from all of this.
Going back to the ice rates that have been taking place,
one of the big issues, even beyond the activists showing
up and causing the problems and the chaos. And this

(29:59):
is all intentional because then the leadership can go and
say ICE is causing the chaos. When these altercations take
place where and again, if you just remove the activists
from the equation, you're not going to have it. But
this is also a really good example of what happens
and why it's bad to adopt these sanctuary city policies
where they disconnect local law enforcement from federal law enforcement,

(30:19):
because if you didn't have local law enforcement and federal
law enforcement disconnected the way that they are, you could
have a circumstance where local law enforcement could use their
officers to essentially help assist in keeping the peace around
these particular events.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
When ICE moves when ICE moves in.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
And that's for the betterment and safety of everybody, because
right now, when ICE shows up, not having any backing
from local law enforcement, they have to deal with these
activists when they show up, they have to spend their
time also focused on them, which just heightens the tension
of the situation of what ICE is doing. Wherein if

(30:58):
local law enforcement was there, they could easily be the
in between and make.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
These particular warrants being served to go much smoother than
they are now, keeping people safer than they are now,
less chilling effect in the neighborhood. But of course this
is all by design because those that want these sanctuary
policies and disconnect the different law enforcement entities. They wanted
the chaos, they're inviting the chaos because they can go

(31:23):
and take advantage.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
They get their sound bites, they get the jarring video clips.
But hey, you're preaching to the choir on this, John,
because I wrote the bill on it last session. I
wrote the bill House File sixteen that said local law
enforcement must cooperate with federal immigration enforcement if there is
a case where they have a suspect who has committed

(31:46):
a violent crime or a crime in the past. And
I didn't have one Democrat vote for it. I was
called every name under the book while it was happening.
And you're right, there is no appetite for Democrats to
actually have some kind of unified.

Speaker 11 (32:00):
Front from a law enforcement perspective.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
To make these to make these raids, to make these
inquiries less chaotic.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Let's go back to the iHeart radio app here on
Twin Cities News Talk on a Freedom Friday.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
I'll take the ice Barbie any day over the open
border cue ball that Biden had in there, have a
great day? I know, is he an open border Cuball?
Was that?

Speaker 11 (32:23):
That was mayorcis right?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Oh yeah, I guess he was.

Speaker 11 (32:25):
He was bald.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
It was bald. I don't know.

Speaker 11 (32:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Well, by the way, Mayorcis, what a nefarious figure in
American history.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
That guy.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
We don't talk about that guy enough. No, Joe Biden.
Joe Biden's brain wasn't working. He didn't know what was
going on. Mayorcis. That's a true believer. He really felt
like we needed to open up the borders and flood
this country and he was successful at.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
