Speaker 1 (00:00):
Venezuelan drug Botes video release it Make your own decisions.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Take Dingdon conversation, My happiness lives in an hoa run
by a fascist.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
The Brett and the Master control booth looks very confused.
I just happened to be on the page of the
button bar that has a lot of drops from our
Friday guests, So I felt I felt inspired.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Are you kidding? What would be the context for the
HOA things?
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (00:38):
We had we had an HOA conversation here on Twin
Cities News Talk in the sixty five one carpet plus
Next Day Install studios.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
It was about three weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
There was a story of a woman who had purchased
a home inside of an hoa and then decided to
plant all this really tall all brush around her home,
of various different plants. But this was breaking the HOA
(01:08):
rules because it looked like garbage. It looked awful. I
mean sure to her, these were weren't weeds, right, These
were viable, large you know, large plants, but they have
strict rules. And at one point a neighbor had actually
because he does a favor and he goes around and
he mows other people's yards for them on occasion because
he has a riding lawn more and he went through
(01:28):
and he leveled she, he leveled everything under yard and
this launched a big lawsuit.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
And all that.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
So we got into a HOA conversation and Catherine Johnson
from American Experiment, My.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Happiness lives in an hoa run by a fascist.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
She was very pro the HOA, you know, being you know,
authoritarian in their in their role. So that's where that
that's where that came from. So good morning and good
morning all.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Right on the show this morning.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah, we keep trying to get to the stack of
evergreen material. Well, I don't know if it's going to
happen before I go on vacation because there is so
much nonsense going on.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
I nope, it's very disappointed. I'm half tempted.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
I am.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
I am considering something for tomorrow. Oh really, I am
considering something for tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
I'm considering for tomorrow, like not prepping at all, Like
not doing any prep even if I do grab some
stories now looking at him, because I've never done that before.
It could be either like the best show I've ever done,
or it could possibly be the worst show that I've
that I've ever done. So we'll see, we'll see how
that shakes out.
Speaker 6 (02:30):
Either way, you get a little more sleep, and you
could basically take a knee into vacator.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Oh you know me, I'll still get up at the
same time, you know, I say I'm not and then
I'll go in.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Yeah, well, thank you very much. All right.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
So on the show this morning, the continued controversies. We've
got multiple investigations into Minnesota. The Trump administration is actually
going and doing what I did a couple of weeks
back and calling for Governor Tim Walls to resign. Walls
held his press conference on is new statewide?
Speaker 3 (03:02):
How was it?
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Safety colouncil on gun control. It's a total distraction. And
this was evident yesterday afternoon when Alpha News went and
posted that DHS is now halting. They're halting all new
They're stopping all new applications for daycare centers. They're canceling
all pending applications for daycare centers for a full two years.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
Why.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Because they're fraudulent.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
That's why. These are all the reasons why. Suddenly now
Governor Tim Wallas has focused back on firearms.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
So we've got a lot of.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Ice news to share with you allegations of women being
dragged through the snow who are pregnant. Apparently Democrats now
care about pregnant women, or they didn't before, but now
it's an issue when they show up for ice raids
and have altercations with law enforcement simply going and doing
their jobs.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
So we'll talk about that on the show this morning.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Also Liz Collin from Alphaneus, we'll be joining us coming
up at eight thirty this morning. Tonight, President Donald Trump
is making a nationwide address. I don't think it has
anything to do with the new Steven Spielberg alien focused
(04:20):
film Disclosure Day.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
The trailer dropped yesterday for that. I was very excited
about it. It could be, though, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
There's a theory going around that the new Spielberg movie
that comes out next year is actually part of the
slow rollout of disclosure of the existence of aliens. Like
he's been given He's been privy to the information of
the existence of aliens and to prepare all of us.
While we enjoy popcorn in the movie theater watching the
(04:48):
latest Steven Spielberg film, we're actually going to be watching.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Something that is truly happening. So I don't buy that.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I think it's just all part of marketing hype, but
it is fun to sort of speculate.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
I thought the working title for that movie was actually
Atlas whatever that three.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
I atlyts it was, well, yeah, that'll be a Michael
Bay movie. Oh yes, Explosion the sequel will be the
sequel to Armageddon.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
No.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Tonight, the address apparently is going to focus on highlighting
some of the Trump administration's biggest accomplishments in twenty twenty five,
while also teasing some policy that will be coming in
the new year. According to the White House Press Secretary
of Caroline Levitt, it might have something to do with
the speculation around this tonight. And this will air at
eight o'clock our time. The President will be addressing the nation.
(05:34):
I wonder if he'll drop a profanity like Walls did
yesterday during his gun control press conference.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
N we'll see.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
There is no speculation that this could be also about
what's been taking place in Venezuela and our military actions
down there. Trump yesterday did order what he called a
total and complete blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers entering
and leaving Venezuela, kind of like the pneumodians outside of
(06:06):
Nabu at the beginning of the Phantom Menace taxation of
the trade route vis nicely Da, sharply escalating the US
pressure on the socialist regime after months of rising confrontations, maritimes, seizures,
and anti narcotics operations in the region. The president's declaration
did come one week after US forces seized a sanctioned
(06:29):
oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, an operation that
US officials described as part of an aggressive enforcement push
against illicit to oil shipments and sanctions evasion networks. Pambondi
Ag said the seased tanker had been used to transport
oil for sanction to actors linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard
and Hezbola, adding that the vessel was taken under lawful
(06:52):
US warrant and is now subject to forfeiture proceedings under
US law. Yes, get that oil, listen, I'm I'm down
with this. It's long overdue. It's long overdue. We needed
to start sending clear messages to these regimes, the drugs
coming into the country, the terrorism, that they're no longer
(07:13):
going to be able to conduct the operations as they
have in years. Past and certainly during the Biden administration.
I don't know what this is going to lead to
in Venezuela specifically. Maybe the President will address this tonight,
but I am in support of the efforts so far
in what they've been doing down there to take care
of this problem and to stop our enemies from continuing
(07:34):
to harm American citizens.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
It's the right it's the right thing to do, all right.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Coming up, Kia and Hyundai agree to a car theft
settlement after the lawsuit led by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. Yeah,
he can't be bothered with fraud, but definitely concerned about
you getting your Kia.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
And Hyundai's stolen.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
So I'm actually surprised that Kia and Hundai settled on this.
And so we'll talk out of here in in just
a moment, because there's two different there's two things that
need to be done to go and tackle this problem
of these cars being stolen. This is one part of it,
while Keith Ellison and the State of Minnesota continues to
ignore the more crucial element to that. So I'll share
with you the details coming up, and we will get
(08:17):
into the latest ICE operations. A lot of frustration from
the activists of apparently ice ICE agents targeting uber drivers
at MSP, and you have these loser Democrat representatives role
playing revolutionaries as they shoot their selfie videos and go
(08:37):
out to these various ICE raids taking place. We've got
a lot of ground to cover on Wednesday show. You
can email me justice at iHeartRadio dot com. If you're
listening on the iHeartRadio app, and I see many of
you are, leave us a talkback. Those are brought to
you by Lyndahl Realty. We'll get to some of those
next right here on Twnesday's News Talk Am eleven thirty
and one oh three five FM.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
You're fascinating to talk to.
Speaker 7 (08:58):
Thanks, Good morning, John, Happy Wednesday, George and Brooklyn Park.
I am an Irish Catholic and I am disgusted with
police Chief Brian O'Hara please resign.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Oh you mean because he said this yesterday during a
press conference.
Speaker 8 (09:20):
It's especially personal to me, having been raised a Catholic
to be in a Christian church this morning, as we
are approaching Christmas, and I cannot help but think of
what is happening in our city today and how that
(09:40):
echoes with how outsiders have been treated for thousands of years.
How Mary and Joseph themselves were considered outsiders and forced
to stay in a barn. That's what we're getting ready
to commemorate as Christians around the world, while all of
(10:01):
this fear is happening right here in our town.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
That's your police chief. It is so utterly ridiculous.
Speaker 9 (10:17):
Try harder not to suck.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
All right, I'm going to get into that in more
detail coming up just after the top of the hour
this morning. So I'm going to hold off on some
of my some of my commentary. The thing that frustrates
me the most about and so much of what we're
going to talk about on the show today. And I've
said this before, but again it's that it doesn't need
(10:39):
to be this way. You don't have to change your
political affiliation and your your beliefs relating to policy. You
can still be a Democrat, you can still support the policies.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
That you support.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
But we've gone, We've blown so far past that we've
just entered into this realm of the irrational. And this
is a perfect example of that. It tells you how
little I guess I am doing a little bit of
my commentary, but it tells you how little ground all
of the individuals that we will highlight this morning, the
(11:16):
police chief, Brian and O'Hara, I have audio of Representative
Emma Greenman, will get to Representative Brad Tabkey. I've got
walls audio, I've got Minneapolis. I'm sorry, Saint Paul may
or Melvin Carter, We're gonna play him in just a moment.
All of these individuals, they've all blown past justice, sticking
to Democrat policy, and they've reached this level that is
(11:39):
purely ridiculous, irrational, ludicrous. The context is just gone in
their commentary, in their pushback. Context doesn't matter. It's only
the narratives, it's only the messaging. It doesn't need to
make sense. But in all these circumstances, they're essentially ignoring
(12:04):
the rule of law.
Speaker 3 (12:05):
And that's coming.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
You know, this ridiculous comparison is coming from the police
chief for crying out loud, and there is and I'll
get into it, and you know this, and I would
hope the police chief would know this.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
A dramatic difference.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
Between Mary and Joseph and the individuals that ICE is
currently targeting here in Minneapolis. And I have updated data
points to share with you this morning of just how
little these individuals that are out there getting behind the
podiums speaking into the microphones complaining about ice, how little
they really do truly care about these issues, because they
(12:42):
certainly didn't care for all four years.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
When Joe Biden was in office.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Speaking of ridiculous, a multi state lawsuit led by Minnesota
Attorney General Keith Elison against a Hyundai and Kia has
reached a settlement. The car make have agreed to pay
millions of dollars in restitution and install free anti theft
to upgrade their impacted vehicles, and includes the stipulation requiring
(13:10):
the companies I'll offer free zinc reinforced ignition cylinder protectors
to owners or those leasing who are eligible in Hundai
and Kia vehicles in an effort to thwart further theft.
They also agreed to pay up four point five million
in restitution to people whose cars have been damaged by thieves,
as well as four point five million to thirty five
(13:32):
states involved in the settlement to offset costs of a
consumer investigation. Yet, my guess is that Kia and Hyundai
probably were looking at the numbers and We're worried about
facing individual lawsuits from owners that would end up costing
them a heck of a lot more money to defend
than it would be to just go ahead and settle
(13:55):
with these activist attorney generals like Keith Elison on these issues,
Ellison wrote in a statement yesterday. By failing to include
industry standard anti theft technology in their vehicles, Hyundai and
Kia unleashed a wave of auto thefts that cost Minnesotans
their cars, they're harder, and money, and sometimes even their lives.
(14:18):
Hundai and Kia owners are expected to learn whether they're
eligible for the hardware fix in early twenty twenty sikes.
Those who qualify will then have a year to make
an appointment for the ZINC Reinforceingnition cylinder protector to be
installed at a local dealership. Here's a little bit of
what Mayor Melvin Carter had to say on the announcement
of a settlement in this lawsuit.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
When basic safeguards are absent, the consequences are real and widespread,
and we all pay for them. The settlements that we're
announcing today delivers the accountability and the changes that our residents.
It requires real fixes and sets a higher standard for
the car industry moving forward. It also brings us back
(15:00):
so the deeper truth about safety itself. That accountability is
strengthened when it's shared with opportunity, When we hold systems responsible,
when we invest in our neighbors, in our neighborhoods, when
we shift our perspective to one of prevention, we create
communities that are safer, that are stronger, and that are
more just for all of us.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Public safety is not a shoot.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
It's a fundamental responsibility of government. And whether you an
individual or a corporation, accountability comes with responsibility. You are
responsible for helping us keep our communities and our community
members safe, every single one of us. So I want
to say thank you to a chief him. I want
to say thanks.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
That's right, you stand strong there, Melvin Carter.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Those the evil auto manufacturers, if they just had never
gone and created those cars, we'd never have this problem.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
You notice what was missing in there, right?
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Any accountability for the idiots out there that are stealing
these And once again, two things can be true at once.
Apparently there was a legitimate claim to be made that
hyundaiyan Kia left their vehicles vulnerable okay to in the
settlement here more than what I expected.
Speaker 3 (16:11):
I'll admit that.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
But it's also a total redirect from the criminal element,
and you can't solve the problem without addressing both, and
they refuse to go and address both. In the meantime,
Keith Ellison is also.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Suming Uber.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
The new lawsuit is over what Ellison says is Uber
making it exceedingly difficult to cancel subscriptions to its Uber
one plan. Reminds me back in the back in the
day of the trope where you can't go and quit
your gym, Like it's almost impossible to go and quit
your gym. I just watched the Seinfeld episode where Chandler
(16:53):
was trying to quit the ohas Ross Rossell trying to
quit the gym? Was it Chandler, it didn't matter? And
a press release on Monday, Ellison argued that a person
might need a PhD to figure out how to cancel
a monthly subscription. This has included in the past the
end of membership button not being visible to customers until
(17:15):
the last two days of their subscription. Uber deliberately made
their Uber one cancelation process long. How dare they confusing
and frustrating in hopes that the consumers would give up
and let Uber keep taking their hard earned money. It's
really rich to see this type of mentality coming from
individuals like Keith Ellison when it's the Democrats that deployed
(17:37):
this tactic.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Of stalling over and over again.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
I'm just giving examples yesterday of the wrong information relating
to snap benefits has been given to the federal government,
just delaying the process. Far too many Minnesotans have lost
money to zombie subscriptions, bion fraud, and little man Keith
(18:02):
Ellison is concerned about zombie subscriptions. All right, coming up,
we'll talk a little bit more about Uber as we
turn our attention over to Ice. Apparently they've been targeting
Uber drivers at MSP according to the activists, and we'll
get to your talk back from the iHeartRadio Apples are
brought to you by Lyndahl Realty here on Twin City's
(18:24):
News Talk.
Speaker 10 (18:25):
As we wind down twenty twenty five, I'm facing some
serious leftist fatigue with the super hyperbolic language which is
also super shallow at the same time about everything really
the Ice raids, and then you've got Keith Ellison talking
with the Kia boys, and his whole thing was just
completely meaningless. And it's just this all sense of security
(18:46):
that they're trying to give people, which I don't know
how you can't see through it.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
I just need a break. I think that's why I'm
going on vacation.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
By the way, with the inclusion of super as many
times as he did in that talk back, was half
expecting him to mince it to mention super Sure. Just
more coming up on Twin Cities News Talk AM eleven
thirty and one oh three five FM.
Speaker 10 (19:11):
Oh hell yeah you Mary John and Brett Melvin.
Speaker 11 (19:21):
Carter is just one of the many hot air bag
beloviating politicians who all care more about being important than
useful to we the people. And I'm so tired of
all of them, and I hope they all have a
very unmarry Christmas for their ridiculousness that they put upon
(19:42):
the citizenry of this state and country.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
That was like Scott's version of a poc Sun Both
your houses.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Thanks Jowey Scott.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Twin City's News Talk from the six five one Carpet
plus Next Day Install Studios.
Speaker 7 (19:57):
Hey John, you know, when I think of all these
KI owners getting their car stole, and I can't help
thinking of the Bible verse where Jesus says He's going
to come like a thief in the night. Hey, if
our police chief can make awful biblical applications, why can't I.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Thank you very much for that. There was a little
King of party at the gas station yesterday. It was
kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
I had to go get I had to go get
some of the salt pellets for the water softener. Pinky's
up in the house, right, it must be nice, So I, uh,
you know, I pulled, I pulled the car up to
the fright, parked it, went and purchased it. And then
I pulled the car up to the front so like
loaded in the back because I wanted to have it
be closer because the bags are really really heavy.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
And uh.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
One guy walked by and says, hey, my daughter has
a Kia Stinger and she loves it.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
Do you like yours? And we got into a conversation.
Are you kidding? No, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
And then as I was getting ready to leave, another
guy walked out overheard our conversation, and he was driving
and an Optima and he was talking about purchasing his
keya and how much he liked his key. It was
like a nice little Kiya party. I felt like I
felt like I was part of the community, Brett. I
felt for you. I felt very very special. Do you
(21:15):
like the new logo? Yes, I prefer the new logo.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
I think I do too. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
I have a hard time with stuff like that, like
I like to have the most updated, you know, logos.
As a matter of fact, that was a factor in
purchasing the one, the car that I purchased, because it's
a twenty twenty three and it has the updated Kiya logo.
And while the design of the car really didn't change
all that much from twenty eighteen to twenty twenty three,
I really wanted a newer model so I could have.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
The newer logo. I do take it personally, I'm superficial
that way.
Speaker 7 (21:44):
Let's go here, Hey, John, you know when I think
of all these Kia owners getting their car stolen.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Oh, I just played that one, didn't I All right,
let's move on. My apologies.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
Minnie Appolis International Airport leaders say they're looking into reports
of immigration enforcement actions at the airport, including targeting Uber drivers.
Advocates spoke out on Monday, during a meeting of the
Metropolitan Airport's Commission, Hassan Yusef, who represents the drivers, told
the commission members that he was notified Friday morning about
(22:18):
an unusual car that was in the lot reserved for
ride hauling drivers at the airport. He learned that there
was an ICE officer in the lots randomly checking drivers.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
I believe want to see it.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Even though we are citizens and we are taxpayers. It
is something that was unbelievable. Another speaker said, using a translator, Well,
you know what if your citizens, you don't got anything
to worry about, just.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Saying.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Responding to public comment, the commission board members to confirm
they were aware of ICE activity, and while they made
it clear airport police were not assisting ICE with immigration enforcement,
commissioners made it clear that there wasn't much that they
could do to prevent ICE from operating at the airport. Really,
because why why is that? Could it be because ICE
is actually just following the law?
Speaker 3 (23:10):
Could that be? Could that be a reason why?
Speaker 1 (23:12):
It's funny, It's funny how that happens.
Speaker 12 (23:16):
Hey, John Brandon cotted your growth been a while. Just
wanted to let you know I have definitely not been
on x or Facebook or any of the other social
media accounts calling Tim Walls the hard word. Definitely have
not been doing that.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
Have a great day.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
Yeah, you shouldn't do that. Holy cow.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Whatever was like the vehicle, the audio from the talk
back like that was so deep it was making my
headphones rumble on my can you tell on a show
and a half away from vacation? Is this a parent yet?
We're not quite.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
We're counting down.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
Needing a PhD to cancel subscription.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
Is that a shot at the subscription company or at
our education sis?
Speaker 3 (24:06):
It's so ridiculous. Keith Ellison is a joke. He's an
absolute joke.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
They're all jokes. They're all jokes. They have no interest
in actually enforcing the rule of law. Their only intent
is to go and make sure that they are pushing
the democrat narratives and ideologies, the progressive beliefs.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
They get back to my commentary from before. This is
what drives me nuts is that you can do both.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
You can do both.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
You can be a democrat but also enforce the law.
But right now we're in a place where democrats and
enforcing the law if it is beneficial at all to
somebody who may not be a Democrat. They simply want
to ignore it. And that's where their heads are at
on all of these different issues.
Speaker 5 (24:52):
The hypocrisy is ripe with them. Why are we not
sewing walls, the orchestrator of all the programs, the approver
of all the program for the fraud that they created,
just like the Kias, it's the cars, not the people. Well,
it's clearly the system system needs to be prosecuted. There.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Let me see if I can pull this up quickly enough,
so bear with me. I grabbed this clip off of
x in order to do a video about it later
on today. However, it fits in nicely with the with
the talkback comments, especially relating to the Democrats and their
(25:32):
desire to constantly point to the firearm as opposed to
the person.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
In this case, they are pointing to.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
The cars the Kiya manufacturers as opposed to the criminals
stealing them. Here I found it who originally posted this
at a non patriot American AF posted this clip.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
It's a woman, young woman.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Eyebrow appears for what it's worth, black sunglasses, although she
does have regue colored air and she's posted a selfie
video of herself saying this.
Speaker 3 (26:04):
Don't kill people. People kill people.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Okay, in that case, bread doesn't make sand, which is
people make sand, which.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Is cars don't drive people to work. People drive people
to work.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Yeah, hey, you got it. Yeah yeah, she sheep sheep.
That wasn't the point she was trying to make. Yeah,
you understand that, but she but she nailed it. She said,
guns don't kill right, here we go, don't kill people,
don't kill people, kill people, right.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Okay, in that case, bread doesn't make sand, which is
people make scand's true.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Cars don't drive people to work. People drive people to work.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
We'll have one exception on that last one. Are we
talking about Waimo or Tesla or Tesla? If we're talking
about automated vehicles, then you know, perhaps I mean, I'm.
Speaker 6 (26:53):
I've I had every nickel for every time I've walked
into a subway and the bread just starts magically dancing
around and puts it together in a sandwich form.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
If I walked into a subway Brett and that was happening,
I would scream and run the other way.
Speaker 13 (27:06):
What am I?
Speaker 3 (27:07):
What am I witnessing? Why is this happening?
Speaker 1 (27:11):
It's one of my favorite parody bits, and I can't
remember what it was from, but it was taking a
similar circumstance, but it was riffing off of breakfast commercials
wherein the cereal box comes to life like the sun
with the face on it, and suddenly it pops off
the box and starts talking with everybody, And how a
(27:32):
person would legitimately act if that really happened in real life.
And suddenly the character on the box of cereal in
front of you came to life, hopped off the box
and started talking to you.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
You'd freak got a run out of the room. It
wouldn't be pleasant.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
No, why am I getting beat with the hot dom
see exactly.
Speaker 10 (27:48):
After the press that Melvioyn Carter has done in the
last couple of weeks, something tells me he's going to
be a lieutenant governor with walls.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Oh, oh, don't say that. That's a terrifying thought. US
Department of Homeland Security. Let's turn our attention over to ICE.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
They said that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officers were in
tan Hassen over the weekend to make an arrest as
part of a targeted enforcement campaign. The chan Hassen city
council was speaking out against this.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
There were tense.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Moments once again, this taking place on Saturday morning, dozens
of protesters confronted federal agents in chan Hassen. The incident
became heated in bitter cold temperatures as two men stayed
on top of a roof under construction for hours to
avoid being taken in by federal officers. I bring this
up because and I waited to really get into the story,
(28:41):
because I wanted the further information. And it turned out
that my intuition was once again correct. This story was
ridiculously and falsely characterized by elected officials, the activists on
the scene that ice showed up while individuals were on
top of the roof in below zero temperatures doing construction,
(29:05):
and that ice came in, ripped them from doing their
jobs and hauled them off. That's the way that it
was framed in the media. And I saw the story
and I went, that's not that can't be what happened.
It's just like the story that we have coming up
in just a moment of a woman that was dragged
away by ice who's pregnant.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
We'll get into this in a moment. I had the
audio to share that wasn't what took place.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
DHS said ICE officers were conducting an operation to arrest
one Marco Chicaziza Chicazisa Duton.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Marco Chicaziza Duton.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said Marco is in the
country illegally and has a criminal record. He'd been previously
convicted in a case of disorderly conduct. During the operation,
the two suspects fled from a vehicle, entered the construction site,
and then climbed onto the roof to evade arrest. Federal
(30:03):
officials said. The other man, Edgar cheekazis a dute, did
come down and was taken away in an ambulance and
checked out due to exposure to the cold weather. He
was released by ICE. Edgar had entered into the US
illegally back in twenty nineteen. And again the lie that
was being perpetuated, and this was put out in the
(30:23):
media reports, was that ICE came in and listen, even
if it was the case, I don't care. Let me
just say that upfront. Even if these individuals were out
in below zero temperatures doing construction and ICE came and
grabbed them, it doesn't matter, but this was framed to
make it look worse by the activists, as these guys
just hard working individuals here in America trying to make
(30:45):
a living out in the bitter cold temperatures working on
a roof. No, they attempted to evade arrest and climbed
on the roof to get away from law enforcement. In
the meantime, Minnesota Loser Representative Brad Tapke posted a TikTok
video outside inn Islamic Center in downtown Shokapy, saying that
(31:09):
he has joined a rapid response group ready to intervene
if Immigrations and Customs enforcement agents appear, working off a
story here from Alpha News. In the video, Tapke says
that a group gathered to observe and document any potential
ICE activity. He asserts that agent's threatened to harm our
friends in their place of worship, though we did not
(31:30):
provide details of who made the arrest, of course not.
Tapke says he was asked by some community members to
help create a network of folks to observe and understand
what's happening in ice with ICE in our community because
they're experiencing just tremendous amounts of fear I'm going to
jump ahead to a data point. I shared a portion
of this with you yesterday, but I went and grabbed
(31:52):
more information. I was gonna wait until we talked about
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hare at the top of the hour,
but I'll get this to you now.
Speaker 3 (31:59):
I mentioned yesterday that.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
Just doing a little bit of research, you come to
discover that between twenty twenty three and twenty twenty four,
ICE arrested roughly two thousand people. And you saw and
heard nothing from representatives, nothing from the police chief, nothing
from Walls, no calling ICE to the Gestapo, nothing from
Minneapolis man Baby may or Mom Jeans Jacob Frye. I
(32:24):
went and did a little bit more digging. So when
you look at the entirety of the time that Joe
Biden was in office, and you look at twenty twenty
one through twenty twenty four fiscal years, ICE has made
approximately four thousand arrests here in Minnesota. And as somebody
(32:49):
who does this show for a living and is on
the air by a large Monday through Friday six until
nine am, and was during the entire period where this
all took place, I don't seem to recall a single
story of any Democrat going out and complaining about what
Ice is doing. But now it's politically expedient to go
and do so, to act like a quasi revolutionary, as
(33:13):
if you're actually accomplishing something in your efforts. Brat Tabke
took to social media posted this selfie video of himself.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Hey friends, Brad, take here.
Speaker 8 (33:27):
We are.
Speaker 13 (33:30):
Group Shaky residents helping to protect our neighbors and community
today from unlawful actions of ICE and making sure that
we are doing what is necessary to take care folks.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
So let me let me stop here. What is he doing?
Speaker 1 (33:51):
How is he protecting anybody? This is all meaningless. He's
not doing anything. They may be blocking law enforcement, if
that's what they're talking about, but those arrests are still
being made. They're just exacerbating the issue and making it worse.
(34:13):
They're even making it worse for the criminals that ICE
is arresting because they're just prolonging the process. But I'm
just curious, this revolutionary, this warrior, Brad Tabke. What is
it that he actually thinks that he's accomplishing other than
posting a stupid video of himself and posting it online.
I do appreciate it though, because it gives me an
(34:34):
opportunity to play it back on the air and mock.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
The guy because he deserves it.
Speaker 13 (34:37):
We are here in downtown Shocapy at the Shah Islamic Center,
and we have a new rapid response group and we
are here to observe and document if ICE does show
up and as they've threatened to harm our friends in
(35:01):
their place of worship, So we are here today talking
to folks and just being present and making sure that
you're doing the right things to take care of our neighbors.
What the President has said about it's just propaganda.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
It's pure propaganda.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
They desperately tried to frame a few of the individuals
who are obstructing law enforcement from doing their job last
week as citizens being arrested, but that wasn't what happened.
Individuals were detained for getting in the way of ICE officials.
Ice officials not wanting to waste their time and taxpayer
money because the individuals, even if they were charged, are
(35:41):
probably just going to get put back out on the street,
depending on what county therein, especially in Hennepin County Minneapolis
or excuse me, Hennipin County Attorney Mary Moriarty gleefully letting
these individuals go. But it's just to perpetuate this propaganda
mentality that ICE is randomly targeting individuals, as if simply
being of a different ethnic background is enough for you
(36:06):
to be accosted by ICE and arrested.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
And it's just not true. So Molly community is just.
Speaker 11 (36:12):
Wrong.
Speaker 13 (36:13):
It's just totally wrong, and we all need to make
sure that we are protecting our neighbors, make sure that
we're protecting our friends, make sure that we are doing
what is necessary to stand up to tyranny and fascism
and all the terrible things that are going on.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
It's probably my favorite part of the video.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
I love just the you like YadA YadA YadA, is
it YadA YadA yadas the whole comment just we're gonna
push back on the tyranny, fascism, you know, all of it.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
He doesn't even know what he's talking about.
Speaker 13 (36:48):
In our community.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
So just make sure if you are.
Speaker 13 (36:54):
Able to help join in the networks that we've set up.
So shoot me a mess if you're in shockaby, if
you want to join and help out and be part.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
Of the solution to make the world a better place.
So we're better than what the presence as we are.
Speaker 13 (37:10):
We will fight for it.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
So you're not going to do anything, You have no
power to do anything. Just there are a bunch of wannabes. Hey, John,
John Filmasante.
Speaker 11 (37:23):
You know, these clowns who are participating in the resistance
movements that are preventing ICE from doing their jobs and
investing illegal immigrants, should themselves be charged with aiding and
am betting.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
Criminal activity.
Speaker 9 (37:38):
Actually, so the punk knows ICE is committing lawful activities,
They're following the law, they're enforcing the law. Yeah, he
is engaged in the illegal activities.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
If he's obstructing law enforcement, he is. And I haven't
even gotten to the most ridiculous aspect of this whole
thing of Brad Tafty. You see in another post he
claimed that Ice Pepper sprayed a baby and said the
agency's enforcement operation in Minnesota needs to end. There's no
evidence of this at all, but in twenty twenty one,
America Thayer was beheaded by an illegal alien in the
(38:14):
middle of an intersection in broad daylight in Tabke's district.
Thayer's son, Charles, testified before the Legislative Committee earlier this
year in support of a bill seeking to crack down
on sanctuary policies. That bill was put up by friend
of the show Representative Max Reimer.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
Representative Brat Tabke voted.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Against Rymer's bill that would have ensured that that couldn't
happen again. Here's a part of Max's testimony.
Speaker 14 (38:43):
Mister Sharon, members, thank you for the opportunity to present
this amendment. When I think about what this amendment means
and why it's important, I had a testify her His
name was Charles Thayer, and his mom, America Fayer, was
brutally murdered and beheaded by a multiple convicted and awaiting
(39:05):
felony conviction Cuban illegal immigrant. And instead of saying we're
going to do the hard work to address his testimony,
which was harrowing, and he said at the very end,
he doesn't see how this is a partisan issue, instead
of doing the hard work and acknowledging the suffering that
he went through and the specific situation that led his mother.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
To that fate.
Speaker 14 (39:26):
That day in Shockaped, we had an attorney testifier come
in and say, you know what, it's really hard to
deport people back to Cuba and then I went and
did my own research, and in President Trump's first term,
we actually deported nineteen hundred people to Cuba. This bill,
(39:49):
this bill would have caught that problem early, would have
caught that person early, and increased the communication between local
law enforcement and the people who are most appropriate to
deal with it. I think about that man every day.
I think about his mom every day. And that's why
this bill is important. Because that crime which could have
(40:11):
been prevented. It happened in Shockaped It happened in Shockapye,
and it could have happened in Saint Cloud. It could
have happened in Carver County. It could have happened in
North Branch, where I live. This bill does make us
safer because it increases the communication between all pertinent law
(40:31):
enforcement that needs to be involved in situations like that.
I ask for your green vote.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
You see, Brad Tabke could have actually done something good.
He actually could have used the position that I assume
his voters elected him to do, to cast a vote
to protect the community. No, instead, he's going to act
like a quasi activist revolutionary loser and throw up selfie
(40:59):
videos talking about how he's pushing back against law enforcement.
Actually going and conducting the law. You help me make
it make sense. Your talkback's coming up. The Department of
Labor is sending a team to Minnesota to investigate potential
unemployment fraud as the Trump administration calls for Walls to resign.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
It's all coming up on Twin Cities News Talk Don't
Go Anywhere.
