Speaker 1 (00:09):
Radio giveaways used to be a much bigger thing, all
kinds of different stuff. Right, There was a time when
radio stations would actually go and give away technology that
would actually help with the show, will be beneficial for
the radio stations and the hosts even go so far

(00:30):
as like give out like radios going way back. Doesn't
happen as much anymore. Most people have this technology at
their fingertips. If I had the ability, though, to go
and share technology and give it out to the audience
listeners of the show foes and friends here on Twin
Cities News Talk from the six to five to one
carpet next Day install studios, it would be whatever I

(00:52):
would need to give them so that they could record
talkbacks from the iHeartRadio app and not make it sound
like they were calling from inside of a barrel while
flying on the wing of a seven.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Forty seven to thirty thousand feet.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Because I've got a lot of great talkbacks that have
rolled in from foes of the show, but I can't
air any of them because the audio is so bad.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I don't I I'm not sure why that is so?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
All right, A few more, a few more points on this.
I have some other audio that I wanted to share.
Democrat who texted Epstein asking for Trump dirt gives Patent
Lee insane excuses, saying that Epstein was a constituent at
the time when she was exchanging.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Texts with the pedophile.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
During the congressional hearing with the Trump attorney turned to
adversary Michael Cohen, I played for you a couple of
clips of her excuses.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I'll just replay one of them here.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
This is again from the Virgin Islands Delegate House Representative
Stacy Plaskett yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
You don't want to talk about what is really happening here.
Your a tax on working families, your protection of powerful
predators and corporate criminals. You want to talk about texting,
texting felons. How often do you text President Donald J.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Trump? That's the individual we should be concerned about.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
And let me tell you.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
So let's go back in time.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Just briefly, keeping with the theme of what I mentioned
at the start of the show, one democrats said the
silly at things.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I have more.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Examples of that. That was also an example of that.
But they also do not care about the issues that
they say they care about, nor do they care about
Epstein's crimes again forty three days the government was shut down.
They waited until the day the government was opening back
up to then suddenly get all up in arms and
concerned about the Epstein files when they didn't give a
rip up until then, and certainly didn't care last year

(02:49):
when the election was going on. They only care about
using Epstein's crimes for political gains and use this.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
As another excuse.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
In twenty twenty three, Stacey Plaskett taking calls on c
SPAN and the caller asked about her relationship with Epstein.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Here's what she had to say.

Speaker 6 (03:05):
Does Representative Plaska have anything to say? Business Insider has
reported on this as recently at Week July twenty twenty three,
about meeting with Jeffrey Epstein in twenty eighteen and receiving
thirty thousand dollars of campaign contribution.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Jeffrey Epstein was a resident of the Virgin Islands. He
wanted to make contributions to the Democratic Party. He asked
for a contribution. He made contributions to my campaign. I
do believe that he was a reprehensible person, and after
finding out what he had done, I gave the money
that he had contributed to my campaign to nonprofit organizations

(03:46):
dealing with supporting women and children in my community.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
You see what she failed to say though to the
c SPAN caller is that she personally asked Epstein at
the time for money. Oh and then also the texting
with him during the hearings that had already taken place,
since this was in twenty twenty three. Here's one more
for you though. This is Raskin. I have a clip

(04:14):
from Raskin from yesterday on the House floor, But first
I want to share with you a previous comment from
Raskin when talking about Trump, so you have the how
it started and how it's going regarding his particular views
of Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaker 7 (04:33):
One thing he's clearly doing is changing the subject from
a different form of crime, which is child sex trafficking,
which Jeffrey Epstein was a mastermind of. Donald Trump's name
apparently appears throughout the Epstein file.

Speaker 8 (04:48):
Dave arraigned a Democratic member for taking a phone call
from her constituent Jeffrey Epstein in the middle of a hearing.
I still don't see what the charge is. Where is
the ethical transgression?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
So how it started?

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Was Representative Jamie Raskin talking about Trump and at the
time Epstein was a trialed sex trafficking mastermind. And then
yesterday when coming to the offense the defense of Stacy Plaskett,
Ebstein is just a constituent and I have no idea
what the ethical transgression is actually here again, Democrats say

(05:28):
the silliest things.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Keep in with the theme, let's go here.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Democrats urge military members to refuse illegal orders in viral video.
So a group of Democrat lawmakers with military and intelligence
backgrounds released a video yesterday urging service members to refuse
illegal orders. The message was appropriately blasted by conservatives as

(05:55):
they call to defy President Donald Trump and his Secretary
of War Pete Hexeth. Here is the audio of this video.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
I'm Senator Alissa Soockin.

Speaker 9 (06:06):
Senator Mark Kelly, Representative Chris Stluzio.

Speaker 10 (06:09):
Congressman good Lanyard, Representative Chrissy Hulahan, Congressman Jason Crowe.

Speaker 9 (06:13):
I was a captain in the United States.

Speaker 10 (06:15):
Navy, former CIA officer, former Navy, former paratrooper and Army ranger,
former intelligence officer.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Former Air Force.

Speaker 9 (06:22):
We want to speak directly to members of the military
and the intelligence community to.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Take risks each day, keep Americans safe.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now.

Speaker 11 (06:32):
Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk.

Speaker 9 (06:35):
This administration is pitting our uniform military.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
And intelligence community professionals against American citizens like us.

Speaker 9 (06:42):
You all swore an oath.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
To protect and defend this constitution.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Right now, the threats to our constitution aren't just coming
from a broad from right here at home.

Speaker 9 (06:51):
Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
You can refuse illegal orders.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
You must refuse illegal orders.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
No one has to carry out orders that violate the
law or our constitution.

Speaker 9 (07:03):
We know this is hard and that it's a difficult
time to be a public servant.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
But whether you're serving in the CIA, the Army, or Navy,
the Air Force.

Speaker 9 (07:11):
Your vigilance is critical.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
And know that we have your back, because now more
than ever, the American people need you. We need you
to stand up.

Speaker 9 (07:19):
For our laws, constitution, and who we are as Americans.
Don't give up.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
Don't give up, don't give up, don't give up the ship.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
First off, I can't believe we're still making these videos.
It feels also two thousand and late. I mean, we
were doing this back in like what twenty eighteen twenty seventeen.
Talking in our colleagues have spent recent weeks introducing legislation
to limit President Trump's ability to deploy National Guard members

(07:52):
domestically or launch military action against narco terrorists without congressional approval.
As a matter of fact, that Trump just recently before
I provide to provide for you more commentary about this video,
just recently said that he'll do whatever he has to do,
even striking with inside, with within Mexico to stop the

(08:15):
drugs from coming into the country.

Speaker 12 (08:19):
Your name, also potentially launching strikes in Mexico, putting American
troops or American personnel into Mexico to do.

Speaker 13 (08:27):
Would I launch strikes in Mexico to sub drugs?

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Okay with me?

Speaker 13 (08:32):
Whatever we have to do to sub drugs Mexico is look.
I looked at Mexico City over the weekend. This as
some big problems over there. If we had to wuld
we do there? What we've done to the waterways? You know,
there's almost no drugs coming in through our waterways anymore.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
This whole idea based off the video by Democrats, it's
nothing more than a ruse. None of the orders that
have been given by President Donald Trump, carried out by
Secretary of warpete Hegseth. None of them are illegal. It's
pure propaganda to say otherwise. And so in the video
when they say, you know you can refuse the illegal orders,

(09:10):
you must refuse illegal orders. First off, it's a horrible
thing to go and suggest to our nation's military.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
But the good news is.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
There's no illegal orders to go and refuse because what
has been put forward is not illegal. The Department of
War directed Fox News to excess response, which simply read
stage four TBS, referring to, of course Trump derangement syndrome.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
They have what's called the Trump derangement problem.

Speaker 9 (09:36):
Have you heard about that problem?

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Eric Schmidt, senator out of Missouri said, at the end
of the day, they're mad at they're mad the American
people chose Trump and now they're calling on the military
and intelligence community to intervene. Sounds a little subversive and
subversive to democracy. Ish it was right, and it's another

(10:00):
as I mentioned at the start of the show about
how right now Democrats just have no interest in rational conversation,
dialogue on.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
The issues whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Every single move that they make, every commentary that they present,
is just a means to try to drag down President
Donald Trump, his polling and his.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Support coming up.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Representative Tom Emmer says he wants the government funding settled
by Christmas.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Can that happen?

Speaker 1 (10:28):
We'll find out next here on Twinsday's news talk Am
eleven thirty and one o three five FM Talk Am eleven.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Thirty and one oh three point five.

Speaker 10 (10:40):
I stually feel bad for a lot of the foes
of the show. The talk backs just aren't as chris
and clear on those government owned phones that are paid
for by taxpayers than they are on the phones that
we actually on and pay for ourselves.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
Right, have a great day.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
No, they're not. But you know what I did do.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
I went and I copied the transcript of all of
the talkbacks from one particular foe of the show, and
I put it in a post on the X for
those that might be interested in reading what they had
to say. Since the audio wasn't arable before we talk
with Representative Tom Emmer, I just want to sneak in
a couple of your comments. I played this audio a

(11:30):
moment ago. Democrats urging military members to refuse the illegal
orders in a viral video.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
And Senator Alissa Soockin, Senator.

Speaker 9 (11:39):
Mark Kelly, Representative Chris Deluzios.

Speaker 10 (11:42):
Congressman nig good Lanyard, Representative Chrissy Hulahan, Congressman Jason Crowe.

Speaker 9 (11:46):
I was a captain in the United States.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
Navy, former CIA officer, former Davy, former paratrooper and Army ranger.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Former intelligence officer, former Air Force.

Speaker 9 (11:55):
We want to speak directly to members of the military.

Speaker 5 (11:57):
And the intelligence community to take risks each day keep
Americans safe. We know you are under enormous stress and
pressure right now.

Speaker 10 (12:05):
Americans trust their military, but that trust is at risk.

Speaker 9 (12:08):
This administration is pitting our uniform military.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
And intelligence community professionals.

Speaker 9 (12:13):
Against American citizens like us. You all swore an oath.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
To protect and then this constitution.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Right now, the threats to our constitution aren't just coming
from abroad, from right here at home.

Speaker 9 (12:24):
Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
You can refuse illegal orders.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
You must refuse illegal orders.

Speaker 14 (12:33):
Hey, John Gray show as always you know, regarding that
little diet tribe by the Democrat representatives and senators, I
didn't realize that the US forces were being used against
US citizens because that's what they're claiming.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Yep, idiots, so they want you to believe.

Speaker 12 (12:52):
I just listened to the ad from the Democrats telling
you know, remembers, what we all know is that they
don't have to follow illegal orders. Well, dug this is
just more ammunition they're providing us against the future battle
that we will be having with these individuals when they
control the government. Thank God, these people are so idiotic

(13:16):
it defies description.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Representative Tom Emmer joins us this morning. Always great to
speak with you.

Speaker 9 (13:24):
Tom.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
I know that you'd like to get the funding settled
by Christmas relating to the government funding, but with all
the ridiculous nonsense that you've been having to deal with
in Congress, is that even going to be a possibility?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
And good morning?

Speaker 15 (13:40):
Okay, good morning John. Hey, Look, if you suggest it's not,
it won't be. You have to set a goal and
you have to go forward. We've got a deadline of
January thirtieth, and Democrats cost us forty three days with
some ridiculous, needless shutdown of the federal government. So we
do have challenges, John, But three of the twelve were

(14:03):
done at the same time the government was reopened. There's
another three to six that I'm told are very close
to closing because the leaders on both sides and the
appropriation process both House and Senate Republicans and Democrats stayed
working over the shutdown trying to find points of common ground.

(14:23):
I think we can get to probably ten of those
very quickly, and then it's going to probably come down
to and I'm not an appropriator, I just have to
help them get these things done. It's probably going to
come down to the Defense Authorization Act and the Labor
and Education Bill, which seemed to be the last two

(14:48):
every time, and maybe a little bit of what they
call TEA HUD, the Housing and Urban Development build It.
Other than that, John, we should be moving very expeditiously.
It'll come down those last two or three as to
whether or not we can get this done before the
end of the year.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
When it comes to those ACA subsidies, how is.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
That debate going to going to take place?

Speaker 1 (15:11):
I mean, can you even offer up any sort of
expectation of what may transpire is that debate ensues and
then work towards a solution. I'm just curious to get
your thoughts on where those subsidies are heading right now.

Speaker 15 (15:25):
Yeah, Well, there's a lot of differences of opinion if
you've noticed, not, the least of which is our president
who says, hey, if you're going to do these credits,
send them directly to the American people, which I could
not agree with more. I mean, why are we in
LLOWI allowing health insurance companies who are already fat and
happy to engorge themselves even more on these temporary subsidies.

(15:46):
The public doesn't seem to understand that these enhanced Premium
tax credits were temporary. They were only created by Democrats,
and only Democrats during COVID for the alleged extraordinary circumstances.
They were trying to mask the fact that the Affordable
Care Act, which is the law of the land, John
and has been for over a decade, was passed with

(16:08):
only Democrat votes. And since they created that law, it's
been destroying the healthcare marketplace in this country. It has
literally been renamed the Unaffordable Care Act. You've got health
care costs have gone up for the average family since
the Unaffordable Care Act was passed, John, by almost one
hundred percent. All right, and so now what they're claiming

(16:32):
is this is somehow the issue. Okay, Well, we got
all these different opinions. You know, let it, wean the
public off of it, end it, send the tax credits
directly to the American people. At the end of the day,
people need to understand the healthcare marketplace is broken. You're
going to have an average increase of somewhere between twenty

(16:53):
and thirty percent in your health insurance premiums, and this
red herring call the enhanced Premium tax credit, John, is
only going to cover about four to five percent of
that if it applies to you. And keep in mind,
out of three hundred million people plus in the United
States of America, this issue applies to somewhere between one

(17:15):
point four and one point seven million people.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
John, we really.

Speaker 15 (17:19):
Got to I think what you're going to see from
the House, Republicans are solutions, real solutions as to how
you start to drive choice, transparency, and competition within the
healthcare marketplace, restoring the power back to the patient, the
consumer of the citizen, and that's going to be the
answer for the long run.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Representative Tom Ember, before I let you go, the Epstein
files issue has been sucking a lot of air out
of the room over the course of the past week
or so since the shutdown ended, I'm convinced that regardless
of what gets released, is not going to satisfy most individuals'
minds are made up on this particular issue. But are
we coming to the end in your mind of this

(18:01):
issue at a congressional level with these votes to release
the Epstein files as they've been called.

Speaker 15 (18:09):
Oh, I was much ado about nothing, John, because that
was purely a political stunt by people who want to
get the president. What they don't understand is that the
president has wanted this open for from the beginning. Remember,
Democrats look Republicans goal all along in Donald Trump's goal
is to make sure that everything is disclosed so that

(18:33):
you can finally deliver justice to the victims and hold
people accountable who committed these horrendous crimes with Jeffrey Epstein.
What's the Democrats and some of the people that joined
them on this discharge petition, their whole goal has been
nothing more than to get Donald J.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Trump.

Speaker 15 (18:53):
And I will tell you, John, if there was something
in there that implicated our president Obama and company would
have used it in the last four years. Remember, Democrats
were absolutely silent on this issue until Donald J. Trump
ran on it and won the election. Guess what this
thing is already backfiring on them. Sixty five thousand documents,

(19:16):
and your listeners can go look them up. They've been
published on the House Oversight web page, way beyond what
this discharge petition I would require. But it just got
to be such a distraction because the press sees a
shiny object and they go after it. We passed it
with only one no vote yesterday. It passed the Senate

(19:38):
before it was even delivered over there, because everybody realizes
that this is going to come back and haunt Democrats.

Speaker 7 (19:45):
Right.

Speaker 15 (19:46):
You saw Stacy Plaskett, she was texting in real time
with Jeffrey Epstein during an official committee hearing investigating Michael Cohen,
that disgraced and dispired former lawyer for President Trump. You
got Hakeem Jeffries, who is soliciting Jeffrey Epstein for financial

(20:10):
contributions to his campaign and the House Democrats as late
as twenty thirteen. Remember, Epstein was convicted based on his
own admission of sexual crimes in two thousand and eight.
He served thirteen months. And these guys, the American public
and the Democrats who have been trying to spear smear

(20:30):
Donald J. Trump, are going to find out in short
order that they never should have gone down this whole
because it is going to come back and haunt them.
Donald J. Trump is going to be completely exonerated, and
we're going to get back the issues that matter to
the American people, and that's the economy, that's healthcare, that's

(20:51):
making sure your cities, your states are secure. And by
the way, those Democrats who are calling for military members
to viole later ignore the laws. First, I noticed that
it's a non argument because they are not doing anything
against the American citizens. But second, if you're literally in
elected office, whether you're an appointed office or an elected office,

(21:13):
and you are actively calling for people to ignore the
rule of law, you should be impeached. John, you should
be run out of town.

Speaker 13 (21:22):
So I'll be mad.

Speaker 15 (21:23):
I don't have any appears today.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Well, Representative Tom Emmer. We were supposed to get a
winnery mix, but it didn't arrive. But you and I
both know that the snow will and we'll be here
soon enough. And I appreciate your time this morning.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Keep up the.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Fight and hopefully we'll talk next week. If we don't,
I hope you have a great Thanksgimming.

Speaker 15 (21:40):
Yeah, we will, John you too.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Coming up ice employee state worker among sixteen arrested in
Operation creep Sting along with federal agents confronted by protesters
during an operation at a Saint Paul company controversy. And
soon I'll bring you the detail and we'll get to
your thoughts from the iHeartRadio app Talkbacks brought to you
by Lyndall Realty. Coming up next here on Twin City's

(22:05):
News Talk at AM eleven thirty and one oh three
five FM. There's something in the air today full of

(22:27):
the show talkbacks rolling in. I got emails coming in
justice at iHeartRadio dot com. Typically I take that as
a sign of a win. And I'm getting a lot
of negative feedback. So if you're on X at John
j Owen at John Justice or at TC news Talk,

(22:48):
you can go and check out some of the feeds.
I'm posting some of the comments that have been rolling in.
The things that I can't to share on the air.
This I can share on the air. However, a couple
of different events. We'll start off with the one that's
not getting nearly as much attention as the other. This
comes from bringing the news over a dozen suspects, including
an employee with US Customs Immigration, a Minnesota Pollution Control

(23:09):
Agency worker, and a Metro Transit bus driver were arrested
this month for allegedly attempting to solicit a minor for
sex in Bloomington's not get a lot of coverage. A
press conference took placed yesterday with the Bloomington Police chief
said Operation Creep began on November fifth, involved the Minnesota
Bureau of Criminal Apprehension several Twin Cities police departments. According

(23:34):
to Booker Hodges, the sting caught sixteen men who were
attempting to purchase sex from a decoy posing as a
seventeen year old girl. Hodges said at least three of
the suspects were found in possession of drugs, including a
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency worker, and two suspects were armed.
One of the men arrested was a civilian auditor with ice.

(23:57):
When he was arrested, he says, I'm ice boys. Hodges said, Well,
unfortunately for him, we blocked him up. Hodge has indicated
some of the criminal cases stemming from the sting will
be handled by federal prosecutors. One horrible behavior upfront, as
I provide this commentary, let me just say that for
the record, it's a good thing all these individuals were caught.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
But in what world? And I'll deploy the lonely highway
theory on this.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Meaning an individual cought speeding on a rural highway probably
isn't the first time that they've got caught, even though
they'll claim to the law enforcement officer that it was
like in this day and age, the creeps are still
out doing this, which raises the question of how often
are they actually going and getting away with it? Wherein

(24:47):
they end up getting caught in stings like this in
this day and age, I would just if you're that,
I mean, if you're that kind of creep, wouldn't you
just assume if you not followed the news, I glad
they caught him. A story that is gaining a lot
of attention, and it did the moment that the raid
took place, which of course raises a host of questions

(25:08):
of who sent out the information that ICE was conducting
raids taking place in Saint Paul. Yesterday, local Office of
Immigrations and Customs Enforcement confirmed that its agents were on
hand at what the agency called a federal criminal investigation.
One witness that several of his relatives were taken into custody.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
So let me get you up to speed.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Here's the coverage from Care eleven over the raid that
took place yesterday and the protests that immediately popped up
as law enforcement was conducting their legitimate activity.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
It didn't take long.

Speaker 11 (25:49):
For a group of protesters to rally outside protexts how
dare you a long time sat old paper company?

Speaker 2 (25:56):
Outrageous man?

Speaker 11 (25:58):
Clashing then with federal agents. Witnesses say, storm the shop
this morning, take up matt. In a statement, I says
it was serving a search warrant, not confirming if anyone
was arrested. Hashu's treo saying they did detain his dad,
who worked here most of his life.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
He with the criminal cuts some works.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
His supports are family.

Speaker 11 (26:20):
An immigrant rights group deploying what they call constitutional observers
to document what's happening.

Speaker 16 (26:25):
We hold our police to a higher standard, and that's
not what a state that prioritizes peaceful demonstrations and democracy
should look like.

Speaker 11 (26:34):
This comes five months after a raid at a Minneapolis,
Mexican restaurant the FED said was a drug trafficking probe
after nine hundred pounds of meth was found in a
storage unit. Then in October, federal agents detained a group
of Latino roofers while on a job. A month later,
pulling a man from his car in Northfields.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
We can't always be aligned, but we should always be respectful.

Speaker 11 (26:56):
Former Onoka County Sheriff and President Trump's pick to be minister,
So does US Marshall. Jim Stewart says, administrations remove undocumented
immigrants every year, tens of thousands according to Department of
Homeland Security data dating back to the early nineteen hundreds.

Speaker 8 (27:11):
Right now, it's sad to me there's become such a
political device, and tragically we're getting way too much by
standard involvement that's compromising the safety of everyone.

Speaker 11 (27:20):
Involved an emotional outcome. This is absolutely wrong, leaving these
people with more questions than answers. Also, in its statement tonight,
I said that this investigation is still ongoing right now. Meanwhile,
there is a community vigil Julie starting first thing in
the morning at nine o'clock right in front of where
all this happened at Protechs.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
And that vigil was announced in the middle of when
this was all going on. It doesn't surprise me, but
the activist organization it's calling for the vigil tonight immediately
called for the vigil without even having a shred of
the details regarding the individuals who were being arrested by
ICE and the reason for their being arrested. According to

(28:08):
a statement released by the city, there is no threat
to public safety. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
Dozens of protesters began to gather and shout shame at
the agents. Some masks and others wearing tactical helmets looked
on and then use chemical irritants to push back on
the crowd.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
One protester broke.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
A window on one of the unmarked vehicles as it
pulled away. The agents shoved to some of the protesters
out of the way as some tried to stop the
moving vans from leaving. Many protesters spit on the cars
and sums enchanted show your face at the officers are
wearing coverings.

Speaker 17 (28:44):
I think an easy solution to this problem where protesters
are interfering with the arrest by ICE agents just make
it a ten thousand dollars federal fine and these people
they'll dry up and blow away like a tumbleweed. Because
these people probably don't even work and don't have a
dime to their name.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
And that was a significant crowd.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
You watched the footage from Cara Levin in the audio
that I shared with you just a moment ago, and
it was a decent amount of people that showed up
in the you know, in the beginning of when this
was taking place, which raises the question how did they
know so quickly? The agents hit the scene, working off
the article covering what took place yesterday from the Star Tribune,

(29:28):
wouldn't say.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Why they were there or why.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
They were taking anyone into custody. One individual said, if
working in this country is a crime, then God forbid.
These people are criminals. But everyone in here has worked
more than twenty years, said Gunisen al Aller Khan, fighting
back heres. My mom started working here in nineteen ninety nine.

(29:51):
This was her first job. Saint Paul may Or Melvin
Carter arrived at the scene about halfway through the protests
and federal operation, witnessing as protesters were with chemical irritants
while the unmarked cars left the scene. In an interview,
Carter said that federal officials did not inform the city
of the operation ahead of time, in that Saint Paul
Police did not participate in the raid.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Why would they? These are cities.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
That have disconnected themselves from federal law enforcement agencies. And
if you do that, you're not going to get a
heads up and as to your detriment. Regardless of what
your views are of what Ice is doing, they're conducting
lawful activity, holding people accountable for crimes of which they
will go through and have their due process. But because

(30:43):
it's not politically expedient for the left to go and
support that, what do they do. They adopt these sanctuary
policies bragged about by Governor Tim Walls, and then they
act shocked when federal law enforcement authorities don't reach out
to them ahead of their operations.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I mean, imagine if they did.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
There was already a significant number of protesters, given the
short period of time that they had to go and
arrive to conduct their ridiculous behavior. If the city had
a heads up, can you imagine how many people would
have shown up, how bad the situation could have spiral
out of control. Mayor Melvin Carter went on to say
the same Paul Police department will never ever participate in

(31:25):
criminalizing someone's identity or criminalizing somebody for who they are.
It's just propaganda. I don't know how else to describe it.
In almost every other circumstance, you're going to want to
see somebody held accountable for their actions. Can you imagine

(31:48):
law enforcement pulling over a drunk driver and having protesters
show up, having the mayor of the city go and say,
you're criminalizing somebody's identity, criminalizing.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Somebody for who they are.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
They're just an alcohol Like, how can you go and
do to do this to them?

Speaker 2 (32:02):
They have family.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
In a post on the Ward for Facebook page, a
city council member, Mollie Coleman said her office was working
to confirm details about what happened.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
I am devastated that this happened today, she said.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
I don't want to live in a country where the
federal government is a threat to our community.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Again, a complete refusal.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
To acknowledge that individuals are being held accountable for their actions.
But that is the politically opportunistic statement to go and
make to that point. Let's go back to the iHeartRadio
app talkbacks brought to you by Lindall Realty.

Speaker 16 (32:45):
You know, if you want to find time, go to
the leftist cesspool that is Reddit. Just go to the
Minnesota sellreddit or any of the Minnesota.

Speaker 14 (32:53):
Area cellreddits and listen to all.

Speaker 16 (32:56):
The people whine and complaining about the protests I got
made because are blocking federal vehicles, Like, what do you
expect You're blocking a federal hoficer.

Speaker 9 (33:10):
What do you expect is going to happen?

Speaker 1 (33:13):
And yet you had representative Unsurprisingly Leefinkey. He posted again
yesterday on social media, calling Ice the Gestapo.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
I'm gonna keep saying it.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
There is no reason to engage or attempt to engage
in any rational, common sense discussion with Democrats in twenty
twenty five, given the way that they behave on these issues,
because they're not interested.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
I'm interested.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
I would love to have cogent, rational conversations with foes
of the show.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
But instead I get.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Emails at four point thirty in the morning from individuals
hoping that I die. I might even getting you. I
got emails this morning. They're comical pointing to my heart issues,
hoping that I would pass away, and I even rationally respond,

(34:18):
and I go, I would love to have a conversation
with you about the issues. Nope, that's not what I get.
I get don't have another heart attack. I'll be looking
for you in the obituaries. This is this is what
I receive. It's nothing new, and it doesn't bother me.

(34:38):
I just find it comical. But it does serve again
as the example of how there is just no having
a conversation with Democrats right now on any of these
of these issues because they have no interest in talking
about the issues or having a debate on the issues.
It's all propaganda. It's all vilification and demonization. It's all
Trump is Hitler, Maga's Nazis. That's it.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Ice is the Gestapo. This is exactly what I voted for.

Speaker 12 (35:08):
In addition, I would like to see a little bit
of punishment or pain dealt out to the employers who
are giving this incentive for all of these people to
come here illegally.

Speaker 9 (35:19):
You ask how they know so quickly.

Speaker 17 (35:21):
Once again, I'll go back to that stupid.

Speaker 14 (35:23):
Minnesota sub running.

Speaker 16 (35:25):
If you look on there right away, they're like, hey,
and now it's if you see Ice.

Speaker 17 (35:30):
Tell us if you see Ice.

Speaker 16 (35:32):
As soon as somebody sees it, the post on there,
and then the Bob.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Says, well, and I want to make a comment.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Somebody had raised this earlier relating to holding the protesters accountable,
and I do believe that we should. In my commentary
in the first hour of the show, and if you
missed it, I would encourage you to go and listen
to the podcast once the show wraps up today. But
I spoke at length about how law enforcement always has discretion.

(36:00):
ICE enforcement is going to want to come in, conduct
their legal operations, grab the individuals that they are tasked
to go and legally apprehend and arrest, and then get
out of there without causing further harm to the community
and without bringing about further harm to themselves. And in
that they're probably exercising an abundance of discretion over who

(36:21):
they want to go and engage with, because make no mistake,
there's a portion of those protesters that absolutely want to
get arrested.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
And even if.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
They do go and get them held accountable, and they
do arrest them, first off, it's ICE arresting them. You
already have the mayor saying that Saint Paul police is
never going to get involved. And even if they were
handed over to say Hennepin County. I know we're talking
Saint Paul, but be that is in may In most cases,
the activist judges here in the state. They're just going
to end up letting them off. I'm not saying it's

(36:50):
a good answer. I'm not saying that we shouldn't hold
people accountable. I'm just laying out the dynamics of what
happens and the mindset potentially of these ICE agents who
just want to come in, do their job, arrest the
people they need to arrest, and then get out of
there before anybody else or anybody ends up getting harmed.

(37:13):
A few protesters held signs that read hands off immigrants.
One protester showed up wearing an inflatable frog costume, similar
to the ones Warren in Portland, Oregon, protesting the increase
to federal agents agent president in the city. Whenever I
see that, by the way, I just kind of scratch
my head and I go, do you want to be
taken seriously because you're wearing frog costume for crying out loud?

(37:45):
All right, We're going to get back to more of
your talkbacks as they roll in. By the way again,
I'm going to go and add it one more time.
If you want to leave a talkback, especially if you
don't agree with what I'm saying, don't curse. I cannot
play those on the radio. I would love to play
your comments. I want to hear from the opposition, but

(38:05):
I can't play them if you're going to drop profanity
left and right.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
I just don't have the time.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
Neither does Devin in the Master Control Booth to go
and edit out all of your botty mouth. There's an
editorial and it's timely in the Minnesota Reformer that I
want to share with you.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Coming up.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Using the military to police Americans used to alarm conservatives
for good reason, writes this author in the Minnesota Reformer.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
I'll provide for you some details and why.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
It serves as another example of how those on the left,
when they address this issue and they want to actually
take the time to do what I was asking earlier,
to engage and talk about the opposing side of the
political spectrum, they conveniently go and leave out the pertinent
details relating.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
To that which they are pushing against.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
In this case, this article writer is trying to say
that conservatives used to care about when the military would
be deployed in America. But the examples they give have
virtually nothing to do with the current dynamics of which
I have just been talking to you about. I'll share
with you the details. Next, we'll get to your talkbacks
that aren't filled with profanity, coming up from the iHeartRadio app,

(39:23):
and Jenna Globe from Alpha News joins the show, coming
up at a thirty this morning here on Twinsday's News
Talk AM eleven thirty and one oh three five FM
