Speaker 1 (00:11):
Twin City's News Talk Am eleven thirty one O three
five FM from the six five to one carpet plus
Next Day install studios. Over the weekends GOP State Central Committee,
there was a straw poll that was done and in
that straw poll you had Kendle Calls winning ninety three delegates,
(00:33):
followed by Lisa Daymoth at ninety Michael Lindell at forty
nine according to the State Party. And I'm very pleased
to welcome to the show gubernatorial candidate Lisa Daymoth.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
Good morning, Lisa. How are we doing this morning?
Speaker 3 (00:46):
Hey, good morning John. I'm doing great. How are you
and your listeners?
Speaker 1 (00:49):
I'm doing fantastic now that I'm counting days to my
vacation which starts after Thursday.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Show.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
But I am totally counting down to day still my
vacation which starts after Thursday.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
You get to counting down hours. That's the true test.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
So what are your takeaways from this from this weekend's
straw pole? As I mentioned, we had Kendall calls on
earlier in the show, and a lot can change before
the convention. Candidates, you know, oftentimes not that you had
a week showing you had a great showing, as said Kendall,
but they can show the straw pole, you know, week
showings in the straw pole would still end up winning
the Minnesota GOP nomination down the line. So how much
(01:26):
sock do you put in this polling? And what were
your takeaways from the event over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
So the State Central meeting that was held on Saturday
was a great time for Republicans to come together. The
delegates had a big showing there and I was very
pleased with the results. I've just been in the race
for six weeks and I thought if I could place
in the top half, that would be a good indicator
(01:51):
of where the delegates are. I think we could all agree,
all of the candidates right now that we need to
replace Tim Walls. That is the main goal here is
making sure that we had a solid governor, a Republican
governor in office in November of twenty six. But I
was very pleased. What I'll say is Kendall Qualls had
ninety three. As you mentioned, I had ninety and I've
(02:12):
been in the race for six weeks and very very
pleased with the results.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
I want to ask you we were talking quite a
bit about this last hour and have been since Friday
as well a couple of different moves by Governor Chim Walls. First,
what are your thoughts on this fraud prevention program and
new fraud integrities?
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Are that Walls announced on Friday?
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Too much, too little, too late? Is what I will say. Now,
fraud in Minnesota should never have gotten as bad as
it is or as far as it is. That never
should have happened, John, We all know that, but for
the governor to ignore it for maybe seven years or
not put the attention that it actually needed to stopping it.
(02:56):
I'm grateful that he is finally paying attention and making
moves on. But again, John, no one's lost their job
in his administration. Isn't fired anyone. We have well over
a billion dollars of known fraud, and you know those
estimates are climbing, and we'll watch to see those come forward.
What I would have to ask is why are his agencies,
(03:19):
the commissioners that are overseeing those agencies, why are they
not always already doing this job. Why did it take
him to put forward these executive orders? Now we saw
the first one back in September. Why did he have
to hire someone outside to come in. This is a
miss on his part, a lack of accountability and a
(03:41):
lack of leadership.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Really talking with a gubernatorial candidate to Lisa damonth we
also have apparently Walls is going to sign some executive
orders today for this new statewide Safety Council that is
supposed to compile data on gun violence and look at
education on safe gun store. You know, I talked about
this earlier, Lisa. He was going to call a special
(04:05):
session on gun control, didn't do it, and then moved
over to the town halls, and now he has this
new council he's setting up. Curious to get your thoughts
on this latest move by the governor relating to gun control.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
I am so glad that you're talking about this this morning, John.
I think more people need to hear what's going on.
So Governor Walls, after the enunciation tragedy, said he was
going to call a special session. Now I see in
the news that he's blaming Republicans for not doing that. John,
the governor is the only one that can call the
special session. When I was in meetings with the governor
(04:41):
and the other Democrat leaders every single meeting, I said
during the meeting and then at the end, Governor, when
you call the special session, Republicans will be there. As
you know, we show up to work when we're called in,
we will be there. We will do this work. What
we wouldn't be able to do was the promp a
us him a vote that didn't exist. He was talking
(05:02):
about gun bands, we were talking about school safety, mental health,
and additional criminal penalties. Apparently that did not fit his
political narrative. He never called the special session. Now he's
putting together another group and he's doing these executive orders again.
I think he's doing it to score political points or
(05:24):
to get people's attention off of his failure in fraud.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I've I'm going to get to this coming up after
our conversation talking with a gubernatorial candidate, Lisa Damoth. But
I have a comment that's rolled in another anecdotal story
of an individual and what they're planning on doing once
paid family medical leave is in place. I want to
ask you because I'm convinced that next to fraud, the
(05:48):
paid family medical leave next year is going to be
the biggest issue the state is going to be facing.
I mean, this impacts everybody, every single tax paying working individual,
whether it's the employer all the way through the the
employees is going to have to go and pay for this.
As we head into next year, a lot of concern.
You know, there's a lot of concern around this program.
(06:09):
And I know that the concerns that were brought up,
you know, during the legislative session this you know, this
year we're simply ignored. I'm just wondering expectations, Lisa Damuth
as we get into next year the legislative session, and
what becomes of this program that's now going to start
on January first?
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Can we make changes down the line? What's your expectation.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
The legislature returns into session February seventeenth, so that will
be a good indicator when Paid Family rolls out January first,
of how it is impacting in the first six weeks
or so before we get into session. John, every day
I talk to businesses that are so concerned about this.
They've been voicing their concern. Some of the smaller, hard
(06:52):
working businesses are just doing their jobs and providing whether
it's a service or whatever that business might be. That
it's really catching them where they've heard little bits about it,
but they've only got a couple of employees are a
little bit bigger, so as it's coming closer and hitting them,
there are grave concerns. This is something that House Republicans
since twenty twenty three were saying, great idea as far
(07:15):
as wanting to help your employees, but a mandate and
a one size fits none, really, but one size fits
all on all businesses is not the way to do this.
Up until the special session, we were still trying of
this year. In June of this year, we were still
trying to get changes, whether it would be a delay
(07:36):
or a change in the definition of family or a
minimum number of employees, and the Democrats would not hear
of it. This is going to be damaging for our
economy here in Minnesota because of how it will affect businesses.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Lisa Dama, gubernatorial candidate again, congratulations on your showing in
the straw Pole over the weekend. Where can people head
online to find out more about your campaign?
Speaker 3 (08:00):
They can go to Lisa for m N dot com.
That's l I s a f O R m N
dot com. And I'm also on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or
x whichever we're calling it and TikTok.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
It was a nice seeing you on a Sunday.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
I look forward to the next time you and I
have a chance to talk in twenty twenty six. And again,
thank you so much Lisa Damuth for coming on the
show this morning. I greatly appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Excellent Jo I'm Merry Christmas to you and enjoy that vacation.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Merry Christmas to you as well.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Coming up, Alex Falconer, DFL District forty nine A operating
with signal groups running a resistance network to foil and
impede ICE operations.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
There was a clash yesterday wherein.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Calls had to be made to go and assist ICE
because of the way the protesters in their agitated and
aggressive pushback on their efforts, We're putting ICE agents in
harm's way. I'm going to share with you coming up
some really interesting data points that, in my opinion show democrats.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Do not care about this issue.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
We'll get to your talkbacks as well from the iHeart
Radio app brought to you by Lyndahl Rerealty here on
Twin Cities News Talk and speaking of paid family medical Eve.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Hi, John and Brett, I know of an individual who
is going to take his family to Disney World under
the guise of family bonding under this new colossal calamity
called Family Medical Eve, and is planning to take time
off for the bereavement and grief of losing.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
His brother in July of twenty twenty five. What a
croc so yesterday.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
I first found out about this altercation via crime Watch
Minneapolis and share with you the details here on Twin
City's news talk I Am eleven thirty one oh three
five FM worldwide on the iHeartRadio app from the sixty
five to one Carpet plus Next Day install studios. Crimewatch
Minneapolis posted that ICE officers were reportedly being overrun and
(10:14):
or assaulted in South Minneapolis. A large crowd was present
and PD being dispatched to assist officers in ICE had
been mased, according to the initial reporting, and PD was
reportedly withdrawing, not assisting them. The location was at or
near the Somali Carmel Mall at twenty eighth in Pillsbury,
(10:35):
where ICE officers were reportedly overrun. Local officers reportedly pulled
from the scene. There were also some images from the
scene that showed state Representative Aisha Gomez in the middle
of the fray. If that's true, not a huge surprise there.
I have further details of this from Bring Me the News.
Also have some audio that I want to share with
you before I get to more details of what took
(10:58):
place here. Okay, I want to go here. I'm going
to share with you this audio first. This is Alex Falconer,
the DFLLER District forty nine A at a recent Democrat event,
talking about operating signal groups and helping to run a
(11:18):
resistance network to foil and impede the ICE operations. Essentially
Democrats helping illegal aliens avoid deportation. I'm want to play
for you some of this audio, and then I'm going
to share with you some data points that, in my opinion,
show that Democrats do not care about this issue. It
is just because Trump is in office.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
I don't know if there's much more I can say
than what Senator Johnson Stewart and Swazinski have both said. Oh, then,
we really do appreciate and love each and every one
of you.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
We're glad that you're here.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
It breaks my heart to know what is going on,
and I think some of the words that were spoken
when one of us is hurting, We're all hurting, and
I'm feeling that.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Sad.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Yesterday we had the young the young man, thirteen year old,
handcuffed by ice, his father taken away. I arrived there
as soon as I could. I talked to some of
the family members.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
It's devastating, so brave, right, so brave.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
No details as too, why those individuals were detained, what
they might have been doing in the middle and leading
up to their being detained. But don't worry. This dfler
is rushing in. He's going to be there to watch
and watch and then stand there maybe blow a whistle.
We found out about that yesterday. Apparently you blow a whistle,
(12:37):
you're in support And.
Speaker 5 (12:38):
I don't know, just going home and talking to my
kids about what happened and how this is affecting our community.
These are terrible times, but we will get through it.
We'll get stronger for it, and we will look out
for one another. Before coming to the state legislature, I'm
(13:01):
a community organizer at heart, and not part of what
I'm trying to bring to the legislature. I'm helping to
lead the communities.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Basically admitting he's an activist and he's trying to bring
more activism to the legislature.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
Need a response rapid response network that we have given
any ice situations, I have a couple hearts here. I'm
willing to stop and to stay around and talk with
anybody that wants any more information. We've got a couple
of groups on the app signal that we would love
(13:33):
for you to join. Whether or not you want to
be a part of the resistance network, I fully understand
you may not be comfortable with that, but you can
help us in a lot of ways by sending an
alert that if you see any suspicious vehicles, any traffic,
if you know of anybody that is being targeted, that's
being detained, we have resources immediately available that we can
(13:55):
send to you. Send to their family, get them legal, help,
help the families if they need food, if people are
afraid to leave their homes to get to get food,
or we're working with the food salves to try to
figure out a way to deliver groceries. I know yesterday
apartment complexes needed their parking lots of plowed and people
were being taken as they were moving their cars. We
can move your car for you, just please anything small, yeah, large.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Here's my question.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Where you guys been in fiscal year twenty twenty three.
All the numbers in the data points someone to share
with you were when Biden was in office fiscal year
twenty twenty three. That was October first of twenty twenty
two through September thirtieth of twenty twenty three. Do you
(14:40):
know how many illegal aliens were arrested by Immigrations and
Customs Enforcement in Minnesota in fiscal year of twenty twenty three?
Before I share that with you, let me also add
currently todate ICE has arrested some four hundred plus people.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
It's the numbers increased a little and.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Over the course of that particular data point coming out
last week, but not a lot. We'll say, you know,
four ten, four twenty estimating, right, okay, because you can
do that. This year, in fiscal year twenty twenty three,
ICE arrested approximately one thousand, six hundred and seventy seven
individuals who were here illegally.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Oh, where you guys been averaging that? Last year?
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Fiscal year twenty twenty four, This was between January and
late June, ICE arrested four hundred and forty one.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
Illegal immigrants here in Minnesota. Oh, gogy average that? Where
were you guys at?
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Now?
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Maybe and Alex Falconer wasn't serving in the legislature yet,
so I'll give him a bit of a free pass.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
But what about all the other yahoos?
Speaker 1 (15:55):
What about all the other organizations, the freedom fighters, Sue Hinture,
the guy that was going around talking about how he
was a citizen being arrested.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Where was Walls? Were any citizens wrapped up in any
of this?
Speaker 1 (16:10):
No, because you know what, nobody was aware, because there
wasn't a political motivation to go and stage these three
theatrics around lawful immigrations and customs enforcement efforts. You have
over two thousand individuals between twenty three and twenty twenty
(16:33):
four when Biden was in office, and you didn't hear
about any of this.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
There was no signal groups, there was no resistance network, nothing.
Trunkeets into office. Ice continues to.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
Go and do their job, and suddenly now they're the Gestapo.
Why was Walls waiting to call Ice the Gestapo until.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
The election? They don't care. They don't care.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
It's all theater, it's all sob stories, it's all make belief.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
They're the ones causing the problems right now. It's not Ice.
Ice is doing their job, holding people accountable.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
ICE was doing their job when they arrested over two
thousand people during Biden's administration here in Minnesota, doing their job.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Nobody batter an eye.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
But now that Trump's an office, Oh, we've got political points.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
That need to be made.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
And there's real threats that our ICE agents are facing
right now, which is why there's so much concern and
why it's so dangerous what the Democrat leadership has done
here in Minnesota, disconnecting the ability of federal law enforcement
agencies to work with local law enforcement agencies. The Democrats
have made the situation exponentially worse than it needs to be.
(17:53):
The activists, these legislators are making the situation worse than
it needs to be. They're the ones that are putting
people in harm's way. ICE isn't putting people in harms way.
It's the activists, it's a Democrat elected leadership. It's Governor
Tim Walls and his rhetoric because they didn't care until
(18:15):
Trump got into office.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Well, I hadn't been a mistake like that in a while.
Vacations how many days away?
Speaker 1 (18:35):
That's count two more shows and whatever time left we
have in this segment here on twin City's News Talk.
Brett Hedges asked me if he wouldn't by he has
to turn my laptop on and off when we do
the when we do the show, because I play the
talkbacks from my Heart from the iHeart Radio app brought
to you by Lindahl Realty off of my laptop. And
so he was like, do you want your laptop turned on?
(18:56):
And I turned my mic on already, and I said, yes.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
You were very You got little real glance into guess
please with a real glance in the John Justice, the
environment I was.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
I was very kind about it. It was very It
was a good one to get on there.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
It was.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
A better one than ones that I could typically do.
Your Trea sure about that. It's a good look from the.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Six five to one carpet plus Next Day Install Studios.
We do need to get to your talkback of the day.
Your talkback of the day is brought to you by
Mini Leaf and mini leaf dot Com. Head on over
to the website and check out their wide variety of
fantastic products. And this here is your talkback of the day.
Speaker 8 (19:38):
John, Where's Katie Pablo's going to be? The news Max
and news Nation? I believe there are two different entities.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Yeah, so when I covered the story this morning, I
had mistakenly I had a Newsmax article in my hands.
As I made the announcement that Katie was going to
be on News Nation, I ended up conflating the two.
So Katie Pavlich announced yesterday Friend of the Show, that
she has a brand new show dropping early next year.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
She is going to be the.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Prime time ten pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday host
on News Nations. So I am incredibly happy for my friend.
I know this is something that she has wanted to
do for a long time. So again, starting early next year,
you can check out Katie nine o'clock at our time
on News Nation as she is the primetime host on
(20:28):
that network.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
That's great news for her. So she is leaving Fox
News With all of this, I need to make that clear.
Speaker 6 (20:32):
I think you're setting a dangerous precedent though, So well
you play the talkback. I didn't award it as a
talk back of the day, which is basically saying a
stickler for details, which is good because we want to
promote Katie. True, but you could encourage that going forward.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Well, I also rewarding my own incompetence as well. I
certainly didn't say, yeah, you know, you try to do.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
A show and let me know how you guys do so,
all right, local police at DHS agents were being attacked
by agitators working off of a version from bringing me
the news here a moment ago.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
And like I said, the Democrats didn't care.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
When Biden was in office, between the fiscal years of
twenty three and twenty four, before Trump won his second
non consecutive term, there was over two thousand arrests of
illegal immigrants by ICE here in Minnesota, and there were
no groups out there stopping and agitating and getting in
front of everybody, Nobody out there collecting food.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
None of it was going on. They didn't care.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Immigrations and Customs Enforcement yesterday did arrest several people and
clashed with protesters near the Carmel Mall in South Minneapolis. Now,
DHS claimed the agents were being attacked by agitators, but
when they arrived, they said they didn't witness any attacks
or any agents needing medical attention.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
You know, it's really comical too.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
The left calls everything an attack, especially what ICE does,
and yet when you have altercations like this, the attitude.
It is, Oh, this is ICE just being dramatic. You
watched the footage and I'm I'm waiting to see what
further details come out from this event, because ICE agents
(22:12):
did have to use some non lethal means to disperse
the crowd that were blocking them from what they were doing.
And as a matter of fact, here is a bit
of the phone call that was made yesterday at approximately
one thirteen pm, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Emergency Communications
Center received this call for immediate assistance from the Department
(22:32):
of Homeland Security. This was the call that was released
by the Hennipen County Sheriff's Office.
Speaker 9 (22:38):
Yes, we need assistance immediately.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
This is a.
Speaker 9 (22:42):
Homeland Security I got officers getting attacked. Were on West
twenty ninth and Pillsbury. I got barded in Minneapolis and
they're not againsting their phone twenty nine on the streets
from Chicago Lake Liquors. Yeah, West twenty ninth and Pilbury Avenue. Oh,
gurrounded and there're be an attacked. How many really, we
(23:06):
only have a few officers, but we have what do
they say, sixty to seventy educators that are fighting them.
They're not answering their phone out, so I don't know
if they got knocked out or what do we need help?
Speaker 1 (23:17):
Okay, and who's calling.
Speaker 9 (23:21):
Supervisor with Department of Homeland Security. I'm in the Joint
Operation ConTroll Center, the jock here for this operation.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Okay, Okay, we'll be in rather right, thank you. Now.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Apparently again there was some looking at the circumstances and
the MPD was pulled back, and there was some reporting
yesterday that it may have been Katie Blackwell that had
pulled MPD back. So I said there we need more
to the stories because the footage, in my opinion, doesn't
match the lack of concern coming from the Minneapolis Police Department.
(23:56):
But to add on to the commentary, I said a
moment ago the policies relating to Minnesota not being officially
a sanctuary state, but adopting these types of policies, it's
put people in more danger. Not having local law enforcement
involved in these matters is just making it worse, because
(24:16):
they should be involved in these matters. Like I said before,
the arrests that were made during the time that Biden
was in office, and I just went back to twenty
twenty three, I didn't look at the years prior. I
didn't look at twenty twenty one or twenty twenty two.
I bet you're going to see similar numbers in terms
of the arrests. But you heard nothing from the activists.
But now they're engaged. They're in getting in ICE's way.
(24:38):
They're putting themselves in harms way, They're putting the rest
of the community in harms way. And if you had
local law enforcement involved, perhaps setting up a perimeter, letting
ICE go and do what they're going to do, then
maybe the incentive would be diminished a bit. That's emboldening
these activists to go out and do what they're doing
(24:59):
because right now the the ICE agents do not know
what they are going to be up against. You don't
know what somebody is planning to do. We had a
shooter that went and took shots into an ICE facility,
murdering individuals. The rhetoric posed by Tim Walls only after
Trump wins election, des Ice become the gestapo, not beforehand,
(25:20):
doesn't care, doesn't say anything about him, even though arrest
are being made all the time during his time in office.
And yet just yesterday federal authorities announced the arrest of
four alleged members of an extremist group suspected of planning
a coordinated bombing attack on New Year's Eve across southern California.
Here's the coverage from Fox News on this story.
Speaker 7 (25:43):
The four defendants are Audrey Carroll, thirty years old, the
pictures I think we have them somewhere. We'll put them
up here. Audrey Carroll, thirty years old, Zachary Aaron Page
thirty two, Dante Gaffield twenty four, and Tina La forty one,
each from the Los Angeles area. Each is charged with
conspiracy and possession of an unregistered destructive device in violation
(26:05):
of Title twenty six United States Code, Section five eight
six one D. We intend to file additional charges in
the coming weeks as we finish reviewing the evidence. The
defendants are all radical anti government members of the Turtle
Island Liberation Front, which, according to their own social media
is an anti capitalist, anti government movement that calls for
(26:29):
their associates to rise up and fight back against capitalism.
One of the leaders of the organization, defendant Audrey Carroll,
helped organize an even more radical faction of the group
called the Order of the Black Lotus. Each of the
defendant's charge today was also a member of the Order
of the Black Lotus. Carroll described this group to her
(26:50):
co conspirators as everything radical. As detailed in the federal
complaint which we will now make public. In November twenty
twenty five, defendant Carol created a detailed bombing plot to
use explosive devices to attack five or more locations across
southern California on this upcoming New Year's Eve. Carol and
(27:11):
her co defendant, Zachary Page led the effort to obtain
and build the bombs and to recruit others to join
in their plot. Carol's bomb plot was explicit. It included
a step by step instructions to build IEDs or improvised
explosive devices, and listed multiple targets across Orange County and
(27:32):
Los Angeles. Carol also made clear her desires. She said,
quote what we are doing will be considered a terrorist act.
Carol and Page also discussed plans for follow up attacks
after their bombings, which included plans to a target ICE
agents and vehicles with pipe bombs. Carol stated that those
plans would quote.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Take some of them out and scare the rest.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Ice has no idea what they're up against when you
have lunatics like this planning plot like this, and think
about how bad it's gotten when you have Democrat representatives
Democrat leadership aiding in these agitators keeping law enforcement from
(28:16):
doing the job that they are tasked to do, this
being immigrations and customs enforcement. Order the Black Lotus sounds
pretty cool, although it's not original. For those that don't know,
because I've watched all the documentaries, Order of the Black
Lotus was actually the original Order sixty six for Revenge
of the Sith, but George Lucas found that it was
too wordy.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Execute the Order of the Black Lotus.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
This does roll off the tongue like Order sixty six,
and so we changed it to Order sixty six.
Speaker 6 (28:45):
No problem there, just making that wordy how we're using
it now, that's fine.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
That's not true at all. By the way I made
I made. I made all that up, all right. While
your top backs come in, I want to review some
of these and try to sneak him in before the
end of the show. I have another audio clip I
want to play. This is making the rounds this morning.
It's a little longer, it's almost three minutes. Here, but
it's worth it. A lot of people are saying that
(29:11):
this may be one of the most powerful moments we've
seen yet. From Borders are Tom Homan laying out the
difference as I was talking about earlier, the difference between
Americans living through Joe Biden and what President Donald Trump
has been doing regarding tackling illegal immigration here is the
(29:33):
borders are, Tom Homan.
Speaker 8 (29:34):
You know, it's always an honor for me to be
in the Oval Office with the greatest president of my lifetime. Yes,
I said it, and I meant it, you know, I
was just I just got home last night. I toured
a border in California, Arizona, and Texas. I did it
in a forward drive. I did it on the river.
(29:55):
I did it from the air. Hundreds upon hundreds of
miles of border. I didn't see one illegal alien, now,
a single one. I've done this since nineteen eighty four.
I've worked for six different presidents. None has done more
than President Trump. What he has done has gave us
(30:16):
the most secure border in the history of this nation.
Hard to stop. I went hundreds of miles of boarder
and didn't see one illegal alien. Incredible, considering a Biden administration,
we had ten twelve thousand a day, most released in
the United States. I'm probably be with these patriots behind me.
(30:38):
I'm already probably being the overlolps of president, but being
with these heroes. I met some of these soldiers down
on the border and actually a shout out to Fort Dum,
New York. We got some Tenth Mountain division here, so
at least to find it, Claudia Attennant, we all love
Port Drumm and the Tenth Mountain. So look, this is
a game change. I want to make something perfectly clear.
Can we get attacked all the time being inhumane? The
(31:00):
Biden administration is much more humane. It's just it's a
bunch of crap because there's been studies done that thirty
one percent of women to make that journey through the
cartails get sexy assaulted. They get rapedep and not just women,
children too. Have done numerous investigations in that sex trafficking
was the historic eise with that open border. Fat nah,
(31:23):
historic hys killed a quarter many Americans, no inspected terrorists
that came across the border. Record historic. What happened under
Biden administration was the most inhumane thing I've seen in
my lifetime. Now that the border is ninety six percent decline,
ninety six percent, less people are coming. How many women
(31:44):
aren't being raped? How many children I'm dying making that journey.
How many women and children aren't being sex trafficked into
this country every day? How many no one suspected terrorists
aren't just walking across that border. President Trump in this
administration is saving thousands of lives every month. Heart stop,
that's just a stone cold fat I'm just probably a
(32:05):
part of this. I wrote with Steve Miller every day.
Steve Miller is one of the most brilliant people I
met in my Itiran life. Cousident Trump bought together one
hell of a team here, and the success proofs we
all working together, one team, one fight. We're not done yet.
We're gonna keep going, and I guarantee you we can
continue to saving thousands and thousands of lives. Secured border
(32:26):
means strong national security. Secured border saved lives. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (32:31):
And I don't need to tell you he's one hundred
percent correct going back to two thousand and eight and
two thousand and nine, and I've told this on the year,
but it's relevant to what Tom Holman was saying, there's
a movie called Border and an individual who actually went
and toured the Southern border. So this will go back
to the early the early two thousands and then heading
(32:52):
into you know, through the through the Obama years. And
he's right, he went on our southern border. He went
through the the well traffic to trails they're there in
which individuals would cross into the country illegally.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
You have families, you have women.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Paying thousands of dollars to cartels, to the coyotes as
the name of the individuals that carry that take them
across the border. Individuals who became ill, broke bones, they
were just left behind to die. And I know it's
a little bit sensitive, and he mentioned it there, but
he's right about the rapes that were taking place. There's
(33:32):
documented footage in that particular movie. But even beyond that movie,
this is not a secret. But they have these things
they're called rape trees, and there are trees within the
southern border where individuals would come across illegally. But the
women would be raped and then the men responsible for
the raping would take their underwear and they would hang
(33:52):
out like a trophy on a tree. And there were
trees that they're just covered in underwear is the most
one of the most discussing things I've ever ever seen,
and that was going back to a time when we were,
you know, doing some enforcement of the border. The bigger
issues that we had back then were loopholes that were
being taken advantage of. That actually came from the George
Bush years regarding trial child to trafficking, wherein if an underage,
(34:16):
if a miner came in across the border, we had
to take them into custody protection because of a law
that was in place stating that we needed to do
so over concerns of child trafficking into the United States.
And because of that, word went out. The activist groups
spread the word, and you had families that were sending
their minor children, their underage children through the border in
(34:40):
hopes that they would be detained by Immigrations and Customs
enforcement granted that status while they were here and then
their families could come and go and take advantage of it.
It was nothing near what the Biden administration was doing
and did do during the four years when they were
in office. Immigration, illegal immigration just absolutely exploded. There was
(35:02):
no enforcement. You saw the footage I saw the footage
the moment that you had border officials going and trying
to do anything about it. The circumstances were mischaracterized. They
were blown out of proportion, villafied and demonized. You had
groups of illegal immigrants coming in pushing back against gates
(35:26):
and enforcement, and you couldn't do anything about it. No,
we've changed the game. And this is why the agitators
and the Democrats have taken these extreme measures that they
have here to try to go and continue to perpetuate
these false narratives, because to not do that would, in
their minds, almost be an admission. And we said this
a lot on the show this morning, consciously or subconsciously
(35:48):
that what Biden's administration did was wrong. The reason why
we have so many arrests and ICE operations taking place
here in Minnesota is because Joe.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Biden led in.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Millions upon millions of people illegally that have flooded across
the country and many of them landing right here in Minnesota.
So to take the attitude that the Democrats did, that
the activists did during the time when Joe Biden was
in office, of not paying attention at all to the
ICE arrests because they didn't want to draw attention.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
To what was taking place on the border at the time.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
But now that Trump is in office and he's doing
something about the disaster and immigration policy under Joe Biden,
they must push back on it, even though they they
do not care about the immigrants. The most compassionate thing
that we can do is what Donald Trump did securing
our southern border and bringing it down the ninety six
percent of control. That's compassion taking away the incentive of
(36:44):
individuals to be able to go and make that decision
to come into the country illegally. Oh in regarding the numbers,
great point here from DN and the talkbacks on the iHeartRadio.
Speaker 10 (36:56):
App regarding the numbers of illegals deported from Minnesota during
the twenty three twenty four fiscal years. One thing Dems
don't like to talk about, and especially the voters here
in Minnesota, is that at that time local authorities were
cooperating with ICE. So a lot of these exchanges were
(37:19):
probably happening at the jails and things like that. But
they don't want to talk about that either.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Nope, No, when Biden was in office, it was just
law enforcement. They ignored, it didn't matter I'll leave you
with this, just a quick one. Remember yesterday we talked
about that principle he died in a high school warning
in a recent email to families that students who are
caught making light of immigration threats or referencing ice in
ways that cost fear or humiliation could face suspension. The principal,
(37:47):
Paul Patezl, said, this type of language is a serious
offense and not representative of our core values. According to
a copy of the email obtained by Crime Watch Minneapolis,
working off of the story from Alpheus, yesterday, you had
over one hundred students at Apple Valley High School walk
out of class to protest to federal immigration actions in
the Minnesota metro area. They're stating a political stance. Are
(38:11):
they going to be held accountable for skipping school? I
know it's Apple Valley, not Dynah. I just wanted to
make the example here when you have several students at
the protest saying they were worried for families amid the
intensified federal immigration activities so ignorantly going by what their
parents are telling them. So this type of political action
(38:34):
by students thumbs up.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
You can walk out of class.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
Probably better than the quality of education they're getting.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Inside the classroom. Be the as it may.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
This is all fine and hunky dory, but heaven forbid
you make light of immigration threats or be in support
of what Ice is doing.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
That'll get you thrown out of school.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
If you missed any portion of today's show, be sure
to check out the podcast. It's available up on the
iHeart app. Thank you to Brett. We'll see you again tomorrow.
We'll be back at it tomorrow starting at six o'clock.

tomorrow morning.
Speaker 2 (39:15):

Have you heard about that problem?
