Speaker 1 (00:14):
I agree with you, John, you gotta be optimistic. I mean,
look at Donald Trump. I threw everything at him, frivolous
lawsuit after privolous lawsuit, and yes, you still would have
a great day.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
I wanted to give the previous talkback friend of the
show a chance to respond the individual left to talk
back last hour saying nothing's ever going to change. We're
talking with Representative Tom Emmer and everything that should happen
regarding the numerous investigations that Minnesota is currently facing. As
a matter of fact, I got to dig back into
(00:48):
my I got to dig back into my stack. I
made a master list before I started the show this morning.
Let's just run it down really quick, so as we'll
get into Ice is launching extensive immigration raids in minute,
soa could be starting today. You have the Small Business
Administration under Trump is ordering an investigation into further Minnesota
COVID fraud. Earlier this week, you had the Treasury Secretary
(01:11):
Scott Assent saying that they were looking into the allegations
from credible sources of taxpayer dollars going to fund terrorism
through autism fraud. The Department of Justice has officially sued
the State of Minnesota to obtain the entire statewide voter roles,
including all illegal aliens living in Minnesota who may have
(01:32):
been fraudulently registered to vote. We also have the Agriculture
Secretary of the USDA, Secretary Rawins, saying that they are
also going to be withholding funding relating to Minnesota not
turning over snap benefit documents to go and look for fraud.
(01:52):
The Walls Administration is also in the federal spotlight, at
risk of losing some thirty million dollars in funding for
granted illegal driver's licenses to residents who are here illegally
but we're authorized to work, but should not have received
those licenses. So we were talking with Representative Tom Emmer
(02:13):
about this particular issue and we had to talk back
and he basically said, nothing's ever going to change. And
I get these comments a lot, and I just ask, look,
do you vote in your elections, because if you do,
then you must have a different attitude. Then nothing's going
to change, because why would you bother getting in getting involved.
So I'm want to give him a chance to respond.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
And John, this is for you. Good morning. Yeah, I
consider myself a friend. I look forward to meeting you
one day.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
I have I have.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I'm involved in every election. I have run for city council,
I've run for mayor, I've run for county, I've run
for different boards. I volunteer to be on these different boards.
But it's funny my conservative attitude and the things that
I say that I think government shouldn't be doing never
seems to be welcome during the election or when it
comes to board appointments. It's funny how that works.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
That's a bummer. That's a bummer. I'm sorry that that happens.
I don't know all of the different circumstances that are
involved that lead up to that. But to your initial point,
I just personally refuse to just say nothing's ever going
to change, because like, why would I bother? And it's
not even just a matter of me coming into the show.
(03:20):
I mean, why would I bother coming into the show?
I guess I could talk about other things. I have
a lot of other interest in life beyond politics. But
things do change. Sometimes there's slow to change. But it
doesn't mean that you give up. But I'm not saying
you're saying giving up. I just that attitude right now
is unhelpful. In my opinion, but I appreciate you leaving
(03:42):
the comment.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Good morning, John Brandon from the Land of Rocks and Cows.
To address the talkbacker that showed as frustration with nothing
happening even though we bring all these things up and
they are in the media, and I can see that
frustration because we don't see anything happening. We don't see
anyone get arrested, we don't see anyone being held accountable.
(04:04):
And that gets to the point where you can fight
a ward with a certain period and if nothing's happening,
you're not guineing.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Okay, And again, I don't don't take this as my
you know, I'm pushing back on all the talkbackers. That
may be the perception here, but it's not. I genuinely
want to go and share my views and opinions even
if we don't agree on stuff. But to your point,
we don't see anyone getting arrested, that's simply not true. Now,
(04:33):
we may not see individuals getting arrested or held accountable
that we would like to see get arrested and held accountable,
particularly individuals. And I hear this all the time of
people saying walls needs to be locked up. Keith Ellerson
needs to be locked up. I had to talk back earlier.
Somebody is saying, every time you mentioned walls relating to
what's going on, you have to mention Keith Ellison as well,
(04:53):
because it's getting off scott free on this. Okay, it's
a lot harder, we know this to go and hold
in individuals in positions of power accountable for a lot
of different reasons. But if you don't have the evidence
in front of you, despite everything surrounding it, if a
(05:14):
case hasn't been built yet, and you can't just go
randomly prosecuting individuals, that's what they tried to do to
Trump last year. We do see people getting arrested on
the issues that we're talking about relating to fraud, which
we'll get to here in just a moment. On the
issue of fraud, you had somewhat seventy eight people that
have now been indicted or convicted under this. I have
(05:37):
multiple stories this morning that I do not have time
to get into of other individuals just this week who've
been busted and charged with fraud. So, yes, people do
get held accountable. Yes people do go to jail. Do
more people need to well, sure, but we need to
have the investigations take place to bring about the evidence
(06:00):
than to go and charge people. It's not as simple
as what some people lead it to believe or get
disparaged over when they want to see something getting done.
Government moves at a snail's pace, regardless of who is
in a position of power.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Good morning, John Say. I just wanted to follow up
on your comments to the gentleman that called in and
said nothing's going to change. If that's the attitude that
we have, and if you're willing to live under full
on communism here in the state of Minnesota, then just
keep talking that way. Get involved in your local politics.
Start at your planning commissions, your city councils. Get in there,
(06:45):
because even if you think you're in a conservative area,
they're coming in to take over those areas. Get involved.
Speaker 6 (06:52):
I'm one of those people.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
That have been just about at the end of my
hope rope, giving up on Republicans, thinking I should just
stop voting. But I've hung in there, and I will
say that I do believe there is hope, and more
now more than ever, with Trump and what's going on
in Minnesota and the national coverage, I believe we have
a chance to move forward and get up that hill
(07:17):
and God willing it will happen.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, listen and thank you for leaving the comment. If
you feel differently, that's fine. I was reading the transcript
and I was thinking to myself, if an individual gets
and I guess there are two different views of this
right and you just agree to disagree. But if an
individual ends up getting cancer, I mean, do you just
(07:41):
give up or do you fight to try to rid
that cancer of your body?
Speaker 5 (07:47):
Now?
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I know there are some people that will be like,
you know what, I'm going to I'm not going to
go through this fight, depending on the severity of the
of the cancer, and that is their choice and opinion.
I think most people stop and go, no, I'm gonna fight.
I'm I'm gonna fight to get rid of this. My
time here isn't done yet, and I hope that more
(08:09):
people have that attitude relating to where we are now
politically here in the country and certainly here in Minnesota
heading into next year, with everything that we're talking about
right now than the latter. Let's go here Fox nine.
Governor Walls welcomes federal probe into fraud allegations. You commit fraud,
You're going to prison walls, talking tough. So he was
(08:33):
asked about fraud in Minnesota, and what we get is
walls in I don't know, little less than let me
look at the clip here. Yeah, a little less than
a little over two minutes he hands up, rattling off
everything button fraud in his response, listen to this.
Speaker 8 (08:49):
When the President of the United States sets up and
tweets one hundred and fifty times after midnight and targets
certain people, it's not a coincidence that they're targeting Minnesota.
We certainly welcome those investigations been done by all of you,
and they've been done here. We certainly want to know that.
But it's also the Transportation secretary who is threatened to
withhold our federal dollars.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (09:11):
Look, that's who they are. This is who they are.
We welcome anybody who wants to help us. We're fixing it.
And I said, Minnesotans know us and our team. We
led us through COVID, we let us through George Floyd.
We've brought our economy to one of the best in
the country, and we'll tackle this. Other governors have dealt
with fraud. I want to make sure I'm the last
one that has to deal with it by putting these
things in. If they want to help us, I welcome them.
(09:32):
I think they do an investigation find out, but I
don't think anybody in here really believes their motive and
their timing is about actually doing something about this. Much
like the legislature, they had every opportunity to do investigations,
they had every opportunity to do their oversight. They chose
not to. The very legislatures that are required to do
an audit have not done their own audit. The very
(09:52):
legislator that has Republican legislators accusing other Republican legislators of
fraud in the PPP of program, the federal program an
entire population, and lying to people about the safety and
security of this state is beneath that. And I will
just add, as a teacher and as a parent, the
(10:12):
absolutely pathetic usage of a slur not to me. I
don't care what he calls me. He calls me many things.
But don't think that doesn't hurt our children. Don't think
it doesn't hurt people who are dealing with this. And
this is not normal. It's not both sides ism. We're
solving problems, we're making life more affordable. We're talking about
being people in and we're getting this. They need to
(10:34):
focus on the war crimes that are coming up. They
need to focus on making life more affordable. They need
to focus on the issues they're dealing. We just had
a state dinner for the crown Prince of Saudi Arabia,
who is directly responsible for the murder of American journalists.
That seems to me to be something Republicans should be
concerned about because that is factual based and researched and verified.
That's a little different than the speculation.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
But now, Timothy, you know what's not normal? What you
have done to the state billions of dollars in fraud
that you just allowed to go up and smoke, or worse,
you allowed to be sent to terrorist organizations overseas. He's
asked about fraud and what did he do. He rattles
off Trump. He complains about Trump targeting Minnesota. He complains
(11:18):
about the Transportation secretary targeting Minnesota. That's his fault, by
the way. Then he goes off on COVID, George Floyd,
other governors, the state legislature, demonizing of those from Somalia.
Oh yeah, Trump used a word. I don't care about
it that hurts other people, war crimes and the Crown
Prince of Saudi Arabia. I'm ready to get beat to.
Speaker 9 (11:38):
That's sixty five one Carpett's Plus Home. The next day
installs studios, this is Twin City's News Talk. Hey yeah,
eleven thirty FM one to three point five and on
the free iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 10 (11:57):
This is curious. Every time Walks could have Trump is
sounding like he's talking about himself.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
No, you're absolutely right.
Speaker 11 (12:08):
Well, apparently under Tim Walls, Minnesota is a fine tuned machine.
No fraud in the state. The Democrats have done nothing wrong.
Everything that they put together is a ok, a triple
A bond rating. We are the greatest state in the nation.
Does anybody believe that garbage and spots it every single day?
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah, Unfortunately too many people do quick correction. By the way,
Walls is admitted there's fraud in the state, but he
actually he's tried to go and say it's because we're
so successful. Like the idea would be, the criminals are
looking at let's see where do you want to go
and where do you want to live? Let's get the
(12:51):
map out, all right, who's got the bond ratings. I
want the bond ratings for the various states. Oh, Minnesota's
got a triple A bond rating. Let's move there and
commit a bunch of fraud because they're really six makes it,
It makes no sense, and our we don't even have
it for ble a bonerating anymore. Department of Homeland Security
(13:16):
Secretary Christi Nome, we'll spend a few minutes here talking
about the freaking out going on relating to Ice coming
into Minnesota. But Department of Homeland Security Secretary of Christy Nome,
yesterday during that lengthy cabinet meeting, this was probably my
favorite clip from yesterday, and there's been a lot of
(13:37):
clips this week. So let me set the stage. It's
the cabinet meeting, massive table, all of Trump's cabinet. Christy
Nome is with the group of all the other cabinet members.
Trump is on the other side, and Christy Nome is
talking to Trump when she says this, you.
Speaker 12 (13:51):
Told me to look into Minnesota and their fraud on
visas and their programs. Fifty percent of them are fraudulent,
which means that that wacko governor Walls either is an
idiot or he did it on purpose, and I think
he's bold, sir. He brought people in there illegally that
(14:14):
never should have been in this country, said they were
somebody that they're not. They said they were married to
somebody who was their brother or somebody else. Fraudulent visa applications,
signed up for government programs, took hundreds of billions of
dollars from the taxpayers. And we're going to remove them
and we're going to get our money back.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
Oh hell yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
A source tells Fox nine one of his clients called
him from Fort A Snelling after being arrested by Ice
officials Tuesday morning outside his home on his way to work.
The client is seeking asylum with a pending case and
authorization to work in the US. The man arrested had
been in the US for less than two years. If
you're here legally, you have nothing to worry about. It's
(14:55):
that simple cash. Mattel, FBI director was on Fox News yesterday,
and this goes back to the talkbacker relating to individuals,
you know, not being held accountable, people not being arrested.
Here's what Patel had to say yesterday on Fox.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
Progatory a criminal information or terrorist ties and we are
going to do that mission.
Speaker 13 (15:15):
And mister Director, another big issue that is concerning Americans
and involves the refugee community, but in Minnesota is the
Treasury Department's investigation of that massive fraud there in the
Somali community. So how is the FBI working that and
what can you tell us tonight given the plethora of
(15:36):
reporting and the defensive posture of both the Mayor and
the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walls, what.
Speaker 6 (15:44):
I can tell you is the FBI let out on
an investigation and we publicized it months ago. We've got
seventy eight people that have been arrested pursuing to our
investigation along with the Inner Agency, and that investigation is
very much ongoing. We are not finished. It was one
of the largest fraud scams ever committed in the state
of Minnesota history, and we are going to continue to
interview and subpoena anyone involved with this case.
Speaker 14 (16:05):
It is very much ongoing.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
In Live, there are a lot of we're gonna get into.
I have some audio to share because the borders are
Tom Holman was on Fox yesterday and there's an interesting
juxtaposition between what Tom Holman was saying regarding ice enforcement
here in Minnesota. And then what you'll hear from the
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara, Minneapolis Man Baby may or
(16:29):
Mom Jeans at Jacob Frye. So we will get into that,
but first we're going to talk with Liz Colin from Alphanus.
It's got a couple of different stories we'll cover that
are available at alphanus dot org. A conservative professor speaking
out on the importance of the First Amendment. Also a
small town grocer calling out local media for twisting his
words on the snap a shut down impact. Will also
(16:50):
get to your talkback of the day. It's all coming
up on Twinsday's News Talk Am eleven thirty and one
oh three five FM. All right, before we get to
Liz Collin from Alpha News, we do have to share
your talkback of the day. It's brought to you by
(17:11):
Minnie Leaf am I at any l eaf dot com.
As we continue the show on twin City's News Talk
from the six to five to one carpet Next Day
Install Studios and appropriately enough, and there was a lot listen,
there was a lot of talkbacks that rolled in today.
My apologies, I am, but one man did not have
the opportunity to go through all of them, but I
will spend some time with them and maybe try to
(17:33):
sneak some of those on that didn't get on the
show today on tomorrow show. This one just came in
and it's appropriate to the next conversation we're about to
have to your talk back of the day.
Speaker 14 (17:42):
Good Morrin. Lizzie Collins had a match lit a fire
on the Democrats hatch. Once she'd seen what she had done,
she lit one under ellasun Hey, have a great day,
Rick from Annandale.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
That is your talkback of the day, brought to you
by Many Leaf. First time you've been called Lizzie Collins,
Liz Colin. Rick.
Speaker 15 (18:06):
That was great, John, thank you, thank you for sharing.
Actually it's funny as my dad calls me, I thought
I thought for a minute, but then the voice wasn't
wasn't matching up, But my dad calls me Lizzie.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
I love that. Good morning, Good morning. All right, we
got some items to talk about from ALFHA News before
we get to that. Though you and I have not
had a chance to talk since. For lack of a
better way to describe it, all hell is broken loose
regarding oh my god, national news coverage of Minnesota. It's insane.
I I mean, listen, it's it's all bad from the
(18:39):
perspective of what is being covered in why Minnesota is
in the national spotlight. At the same time, you know,
we also need to identify the fact that it's also
what so many of us have been wanting to see
happen now for years. What's your perspective on on just
you know, how Minnesota has become the epicenter of the
national news conversation right now? Yeah, what a whirlwind.
Speaker 15 (19:01):
I've seen you everywhere, John, and I've done a lot
of national shows as well. Thankful for your program, but
but yeah, is it sort of like Hollylujah? It's depressing,
I mean, to be a national embarrassment on an hourly basis,
not even daily. But you know, it's a little something change,
(19:21):
I guess, is the question. But you know, it's a
lot for us to have whiplash. And I definitely feel
like like we do right, Like it's really hard to
keep up. And I thought I felt that way before,
but this is unlike anything I've ever seen as far
as the national news cycle. And again, I mean, you
have the mainstream media in town sort of peddling just
(19:42):
a tiny fraction of it, or the way that they're
they're twisting it, But it does seem to see that
the floodgates have opened up, and just the way that
that new media and independent journalism has worked here, it's
winning as far as the information flow is concerned.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
What I'm going to be curious to see because this
is usually how the cycle goes. I don't know how
long we're going to remain in the spotlight. There are
so many different issues right now, and especially with these
pending ice raids that should be taking place, which I'll
also be kind of curious to get your thoughts on.
We'll talk about that at the tail end of our
conversation because I have a couple a couple of audio
clips I want to sneak in before the end of
(20:17):
the show. But what I'm interested to hear now that
this has been going on for the few days this week,
is what's being said behind closed doors. We're going to
we'll have our we'll have our our freedom Friday. Guests
in ak Kamara will be here and actually Walter Hudson's
going to be here as well. But I have not
(20:39):
had the opportunity to talk with some of our elected
officials to kind of hear what is being said beyond
what we're seeing in the headlines right now and specifically
relating to Governor Tim Walls and how you know, vulnerable
he has become, I mean more so than the last
time that we that we spoke. Are you are you
hearing anything about what people are saying internally about the covering?
Speaker 15 (21:01):
Yeah, we've talked talked quite a bit about it. I
guess that's the question. Can well he even continued to run.
I mean, I know you made the comment before, but
you know it would be something even smaller than this
that was on the national news that would people would
resign over. But especially if you have the FEDS looking,
I think they're going to find something, and you know
(21:25):
we've certainly found a lot over over the years along
along the way. So will it Will it be enough?
Will they swap him out? You know, you still have
a year yet before that that election. But you know,
so far we haven't heard anything concrete. But every time
the guy talks, it seems to get worse for him.
Speaker 16 (21:45):
But I guess we will stay tuned.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Well in timing for Attorney Chris Maddel to make his
announcement of run for governor. I don't know if he
planned it that way. I mean, I don't know how
you could have. You could have planned it to timing,
but his timing and making the announcement earlier this week
was was spot on in the middle of everything going on.
And it does make me wonder if there any any
other prominent individuals that will also be adding their name
(22:08):
to what is a rather lengthy list of potential GOP
gubernatorial candidates.
Speaker 15 (22:16):
Yeah, I think you know, Chris is certainly a friend
and it's done so much for ELFA News and helped
us defeat our our lawsuit and get that that all dismissed.
And came to know him through that and the Ryan
Laundrgan case and whatnot. And you know, he definitely has
a plan and laid that laid that all out. It
was very timely on on Monday, after you know, Minnesota
had made the national news over the holiday weekend and
(22:40):
even even before that, and.
Speaker 16 (22:41):
It's you know, stretched out. And I think that that
was sort of the message that he.
Speaker 15 (22:45):
Hammered home on Monday that it just doesn't have to
be this way. And and here is my plan. I
think it was more than an hour that he laid
out his PowerPoint, encouraged people to check that out over
at Alpha News. We were streaming it there, just as
we have other candidates announcing candidacy as well. But it's
good for people to just see what is the plan,
you know, when people do announce, and Chris did a
(23:06):
phenomenal job laying that out on Monday. There's a lot
of problems to solve, but I think that is the
message that he hammered home that just you know, changes
possible and doesn't have to feel like this.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
All right, let's run through a couple of items at
alfhanews dot org as we continue our conversation with Liz Colin.
Outspoken conservative professor has been taking on the woke in
doctor Nation ideology at a Wisconsin college campus. I knew
you had the opportunity to speak to this individual in
your podcast this week. Talk a little bit about this,
(23:40):
doctor Trevor tomesh Am I saying his name correctly.
Speaker 16 (23:44):
Yeah, that's right, doctor Trevor Tomash. He made he made
some news. He was on Fox and so did some of.
Speaker 15 (23:50):
The national media. In the week of Charlie Kirk's assassination
and put out a payment that went pretty viral, just
kind of saying.
Speaker 16 (23:57):
You know why I haven't college campuses, you know, put
out statements about this.
Speaker 15 (24:02):
They do for basically everything else. And he's kind of
been fighting the conservative cause on the college campus. His
personal story, backstory is pretty interesting and talks about that
on the podcast with He refers himself as a as
an angry atheist socialist when he was in his younger days.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Then he moved to Canada, John.
Speaker 15 (24:22):
And he saw the light, came back home to a
stern Wisconsin and where he's working out River Falls. But
his personal story is interesting and also I think important
his messages that you know, we do have to talk
to each other. Minds can be changed. It's how his
mind was changed. And he's been able to see the
(24:44):
light and talks a little bit about the media and
you know what he faces on college campuses, and there's
definitely sounds like a lot more like him. But he's
you know, out there in academia able to speak about
this all publicly, and I.
Speaker 16 (24:59):
Think his has done so well.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
That is available and I encourage everybody to go check
it out at alphaanews dot org. Let's move over to
the story of the small town grocer, and I certainly
thought of you this individual having some frustration with a
local news media outlet, something that Liz Colin is certainly
familiar with. But give us some of the details on
what happened with this particular small town grocer here in
(25:25):
Minnesota and what he had to deal with with Caro Levin.
Speaker 16 (25:29):
Yeah, this is interesting. Somebody pointed this out to us.
Speaker 15 (25:33):
Jordan cuck is his name, and has a grocery store
out in western Minnesota. His family has has owned it
for years. So Caro Levin calls.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
The family up.
Speaker 16 (25:42):
Basically, you know, it's difficult.
Speaker 15 (25:43):
You have to kind of go to the small mom
and mom and pop places. It's hard to get corporate
approval for such a such a thing. But the reporter
goes out to the grocery store and kind of twists
his words, basically makes it. Goes on the news to
say that if you know, people lose their snap benefits,
this grocery store is going.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
To be out of business.
Speaker 15 (26:03):
It makes it sound like they're going to be in
dire straits. And Jordan goes on TikTok.
Speaker 16 (26:08):
It says, it's absolutely not what I told this reporter for.
Speaker 15 (26:11):
This Caroline report, and they twisted my words and you know,
explains how they used one sound bite in a place
that it shouldn't have been in the story. It is
just sort of angered at the local media. But I
really applaud Jordans for coming forward and you know, setting
the record straight. But you can see, I just thought
it was a really good example of how the news
is manipulated. You go in with the narrative a lot
(26:32):
of these reporters do, but this is going to be
the story before they actually even talk to anyone, and
the way that the story is filled out does not
reflect reality. So yeah, that story is right there on
our homepage on Elpha News.
Speaker 16 (26:45):
Just so.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
I mean, these days, people have the ability like Jordan
does to go out and have a platform to let
everybody know what really happened, and yet this type of
ridiculous reporting still takes place. It's just you know, some
people never let some people.
Speaker 15 (27:01):
While exactly I'm pretty telling too, John, is that I
think Jordan's post on TikTok has more views than carol
Le Evan's report. Oh sure, what does that tell you
about the world we're living in?
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Media wife let's let's move here. I hadn't seen this
yet until you shared it with me right before our conversation.
But this individual who was charged with multiple felonies one
hundred and twenty thousand dollars jury bribe relating defeating our
Future and they are out of custody again. What in
the what in the what in the world is going
(27:35):
on with this one? Oh do we lose list Colin?
This we lost you? So I'll pull up since uh
when we wait to get her to get her back,
I'm gonna go ahead and bring up her post online
so that I can share it with you. It looks
like it. So it looks like what happened was we
lost the internet on our end, so I don't think
(27:57):
that's on a deva, that's on you. We lost the
internet on our end over here, so that's why. So
this is Ladon Mohammad Ali. According to the Scott County
Attorney's Office, she was ended up being ordered to do
thirty days in jail with credit for time served. So
after being charged with multiple felonies, including again one hundred
(28:20):
and twenty thousand dollars jury bribe, related to the massive,
massive Feeding our Future scandal, this individual is now out
of custody again. According to the Scott County Attorney's Office,
the revolving door of criminality is just absolutely ridiculous, and
this is another example of that. Liz, I think our
(28:40):
internet is back. Are you back? Yes, I'm here. Okay,
I just did the recap for you. No, it's sorry,
I don't think. I don't think that was on your
own I think it was on our end. So I
just did the recap of this individual who was out
of jail again. And as I mentioned, it's another example
of the revolving door of criminality that we're faced with.
As I don't have the audio this morn, but Mary
Moriarty doing another video at yesterday acting all all tough
(29:04):
and concerned about you know, federal law enforcement coming into
Minnesota to actually hold individuals who are breaking the law accountable.
I know this is a different county, but it is
another example of that revolving door of criminally that we
talk about so often. Liz.
Speaker 16 (29:18):
No, And that's a great point.
Speaker 15 (29:20):
I think crime Watch did a great, great job yesterday
encourage people to check that out.
Speaker 16 (29:25):
You have Mary Moriarty who says basically that these.
Speaker 15 (29:29):
Smaller gangs are not terrorizing residents in Minneapolis, and crime Watch,
I think, gave four or five examples of just recent
stories of in fact Somali gangs terrorizing people in Minneapolis,
very current, just different things that have happened at the
University of Minnesota, carjackings, etc. This is these are all
things that have happened recently. But I think that the
(29:52):
story you were highlighting really hits that home. You have
this woman now now convicted hundreds of thousands of you know,
in fraud and she was held for just a little
over I think it was two three weeks in the
Scott County jail, still a waiting sentencing for the feeding
her future case. But has yeah, do you y this
(30:14):
the jurorbribe she wrote a thirty thousand dollars check to
herself from her boss where she was working at this insurance.
Speaker 16 (30:21):
Agency in the cities. Here, people are just fed up,
and thankfully I think that they're finally speaking.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Out about lits Collin Alpha News. Everybody head on over
to Alphanus dot org and check out all the latest
reporting there. Liz as always, thank you so much for
the time this morning, and I'm sure that there will
be a lot to talk about again again next week.
Speaker 16 (30:42):
Remember when we used to make jokes about like the
Burger review, and that.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
Was I know what we were talking about. Somebody actually
miss those days. I know somebody left to talk back
and they were asking about the Bob and Tom Berger show,
and I was going to bring it up, but time permitting.
They did say though, that they were offering up prayers
to you and the Alpha News team. They recognize the
national attention you're getting, but they also note that there's
you know, stress that comes along with that. So they
(31:06):
were just offering up prayers to you and your team
over at Alphinous, so just wry to share that with you.
Speaker 16 (31:10):
We appreciate that very much. Thank you, and Persue.
Speaker 15 (31:14):
And well John Kee fighting the good fight and we'll
talk to you again next week.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Sounds good. All right, let's go here. Minneapolis Man Baby
mayor mom Jeans. Jacob Frye says that there are credible
reports that as many as one hundred federal agents will
be deployed in the Twin Cities with specific focus on
targeting the Somali community. Again, they're the ones that are
making that claim. It's the media, it's the elected officials,
(31:37):
it's the man baby Mayor. It's police Chief Brian O'Hara.
They're the ones that are making this specific claim. I
know that Trump has made his comments, but essentially, you
have ICE enforcement coming in to hold individuals, regardless of
where you're from, accountable for breaking the law, which is
what they should do. Let me share with you some audio.
We'll start off with. This is Tom Homan on Fox
(31:59):
News yesterday talking about what is coming.
Speaker 13 (32:01):
When do you expect ICE to make its presence really
known in the Twin Cities? Tom Approximately, I can't.
Speaker 10 (32:11):
I can't. I can't forecast out of wanting like I
don't want to give up operations, but I can tell
you that, you know Secretary gnomes all over it. I
know ICE and CBP and other federal agencys, FBI, d A, ATF.
The President Trust's been the genius on this. He brings
the Ali government to.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
These I'm going to stop this here because I want
to make sure we get through the audio. So that
was Tom Holm, and I have another clip of his
to share yesterday being asked on how soon these operations
could start, and they could start as early as today.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara yesterday basically siding with individuals
who may be breaking the law over law enforcement efforts.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Listen to this, folks that are masked that they're not
sure if they're law enforcement, that they may be kidnapping
people like we have had those reports. I want to
be clear to the community. The community should know that
if you see something like that that is legitimate, that
you don't know if someone is law enforcement, you should
call nine one one, and you should provide as much.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
In By the way, this is the first I've heard
of anybody faking to be law enforcement and kidnapping individuals.
We're talking about federal law enforcement officials exercising the rule
of law to execute warrants against individuals who are broken
the law. And you have the police chief and elected
(33:33):
officials like the man baby mayor and other council members
siding with individuals that are breaking the law. That's essentially
what they're doing.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Information as possible, because let's not forget we're very recently
had tragedy in this state by someone who is purporting
to be law enforcement. So please let's be clear that's
something everyone should report and that we will immediately respond
to and we will document whether it's somebody's not sure
if there's a kidnapping happening. Somebody's not sure if that
there's law enforcement president or not.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
And that's something else.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
Additional policy requirements that we are implementing that we will
document and report these types of things anytime that we
hear it, and reminding our officers of their duty to intervene.
So if there is anything that is a violation of someone.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
You know what this is. This is really similar to
the seditious six of the you know, don't obey illegal orders.
He's just basically crafting an argument that doesn't exist, relating
to concerns that aren't there, putting people in a position
to call authorities and waste law enforcements time for ICE
(34:40):
officials coming and conducting the rule of law. Tom Holman
was asked about this also on Fox News, specifically about
the Minneapolis police chief yesterday.
Speaker 13 (34:48):
But they're Sam, we're not working with you. Doesn't matter
what you uncover.
Speaker 7 (34:51):
I guess.
Speaker 10 (34:54):
Look, I'll say the same thing I said to other chiefs,
the police, the sanctuary city shame mind you. I mean,
your number one responsibility is the safety and security of
your communities, and ICE is targeting criminals criminals. So for
you not the partner with ice to make your community
safer is shameful. He ought to put his badge in
the desk drawer walk away because he stopped being a
(35:16):
cop become a politician. If a true law enforcement official
would work with us, Okay, look, I don't want to
be an immigration officer. I'll leave that to you guys.
But when we have an illegal airing public safety threat
in the community, I want to be shoulder to shoulder
with you. I want you to I want to help
you make my community safer because the chief of police,
that's my number one responsibility.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Minneapolis Man Baby mayor mom Jeans Jacob fry once again
almost crying on cue, talking about his concerns of again
law enforcement officials going and enforcing the rule of law.
Speaker 17 (35:51):
Good afternoon. My name is Jacob Frye. I'm the mayor
of Minneapolis, and we are here to respond to a
number of the credible reports from several media outlets.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
It may possible the quick this talkback rolled in regarding
O'Hara and I just I'm going to break my own
little protocol here, but I want to share this because
they make a great point.
Speaker 16 (36:12):
You notice how you said.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
We've had reports, as in people making claims, not we've
had cases that have been.
Speaker 17 (36:22):
Confirmed, relaying that there are as many as one hundred
federal agents that will be deployed to the Twin Cities
with a specific focus on targeting our Somali community. To
our Somali community, we love you and we stand with you.
(36:43):
That commitment is rock solid.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
Minneapolis, the next line should have been and if you're
here legally, you have nothing to worry about, and then
just step away from the podium. That's not what happened, though.
Speaker 17 (36:56):
It is proud to be home to the largest Somali
community in the entire country. They've been here for decades
in many instances.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
All right, I'm gonna stop there with Frau. He ends
up getting to a point where he almost breaks out
in tears. Governor Tim Walls tweeted about this. He says,
we welcome support and investigating, investigating, and prosecuting crime, but
pulling a PR stunt is not a real solution to
the problem. So, according to Governor Tim Walls, upholding the
(37:30):
law is a PR stunt and it's not a solution. Okay,
that tracks for Walls, if you miss any portion of
today's show. You can check out the podcast that's available
up on the iHeartRadio app. Be sure you update the
app if you haven't done so recently. They're always making
advancements to enhance your listening experience. Take advantage of the
(37:53):
preset feature and make Twin City's news Talk number one
on your presets. Thank you so much hanging out today,
Looking forward to talking with you again tomorrow, and everything
that may transcribe over the next twenty four hours. Have
a great one.
