Speaker 1 (00:14):
Hour two for a Thursday Twin Cities News Talk from
the six five to one carpet plus next day install
studios AM eleven thirty one oh three five FM.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
And if you're listening on the iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
App, be sure to leave us a talkback, and also
make sure that you update the app to take advantage
of all the latest features. And if you haven't done
so already and you're an iHeartRadio app listener, take advantage
of the prect preset function and make Twin Cities News
Talk on number one on your presets. We had a

(00:45):
comment from Foe of the show Phil last Hour rambling
saying that Mom Donnie was like Trump, things of that nature.
We've got several comments that have come in that want
to respond to Phil.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
I figured I play a few of these for you
this morning. Hey John.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
As much as I actually dislike listening to Phil, thanks
for playing him, because I always feel far more intelligent
after listening to him speak.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Good morning, Phil. I don't know why, but I actually
like you. I think you're a little off the wall,
and I believe you're probably a really nice guy, except
you have some really weird friends and you've been brainwashed.
But as far as Trump and Mondani, no comparison. Trump
wants us to be free and to be self reliant,

(01:34):
but go ahead and continue to be brainwashed. But even
though you are a little nuts, I think you're a
nice guy, Phil, and have a wonderful day.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, listen.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I hope that one day Phil and other foes of
the show can do that thing that's so difficult for
people and just admit you're wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Some of what I mentioned on the show may soak
in for you.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Thank you for the talkbacks from the iHeartRadio app Good
Morning John.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
When you get to the Erica side of the story
and her interview with Jesse, I routinely tell my wife
to just pay attention when you listen to people that
are speaking truth and common sense, and just how intelligent
they are, specifically on the right, contrasting those on the left.

(02:21):
But talk about a rock star rising Erica Kirk. Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Yeah, you can also see it in the response from
the left to Erica Kirk. You know, the ridicule of
her that has ensued in the wake of the assassination
of her husband is also as we talk about two
sides of the issue, the dangerous aspect of policies and candidates,

(02:49):
but also the ridiculousness of it. In this case, it's
equally pathetic as it is expected by the same people
who celebrated the assassination of a political figure. In Charlie Kirk,
Erica revealed that she's never watched the video of her

(03:09):
husband's assassination, and contrary to the news report, she was
not there.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
In Utah at the time.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
By the way, talked with a Fox News host Jesse Water,
saying I never saw Jesse Waters, excuse me, saying I
never saw the video. I will never see it. I
never want to see it. There are certain things you
see in your life that you can never unsee. There
are certain things you see in your life that mark
your soul forever. I don't want my husband's public assassination

(03:35):
to be something I ever see. I don't want my
kids to ever go and see that. The night before
Charlie was assassinated, Erica, Erica and her daughter slept in
the couple's bed. Charlie slept in their daughter's bedroom. She
claimed she wanted him to get a good night's sleep
before his speaking engagement the next day. That night, he

(04:00):
Charlie was really excited I mean, he was like, I
can't wait.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
It's going to be the best.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
The next morning would mark the final moments that she
would have with Charlie. He came in, he grabbed that,
pointing to the wedding ring and necklace, and then he left.
I didn't even get to give him a kiss goodbye,
she said to Jesse. Kirk remained in Arizona that day
to tend to will be. Erica Kirk contended to her mother,

(04:24):
who was reportedly experiencing a medical issue. Charlie was like, home, home,
needs you be home. Come with me on Thursday to
the next event we have At the doctor's office, She
and her mother watched a video of Charlie tossing hats
into the crowd at Utah Valley University. Moments later, she
received a call. Mike McCoy called me. She recounted, I

(04:46):
I'll never forget it, him just being like, Charlie's been shot.
Get the kids, get security, get the kids. He's been shot.
I sprinted out of her treatment center and just collapse
in the middle of the parking lot. And Erica said
that she entered an unbelievable nightmare. Here's a couple of
clips from the show, responding specifically to what I mentioned

(05:08):
a moment ago to those who said that Charlie had
it coming. This is what Erica Kirk had to say
on Fox News last night.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
It's because I loved and still loved Charlie.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
Did you watch the news after the assassination, because there
were some people saying that Charlie deserved to die.

Speaker 6 (05:27):
Charlie had it coming. There's so much beauty in life.
I don't know why you would waste your time saying
somebody deserves to be publicly executed iron of everyone.

Speaker 7 (05:42):
That's just.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
Why would you say that. Can I could have been
your parent, your spouse, you're loved one. Do you think
it's funny until it's somebody you love. I would just
ask them to really reassess their priorities in life if

(06:06):
they get a high off of watching someone be murdered.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
She also revealed that she had talked with Charlie about
wearing a bulletproof vest to his campus events.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
It's no hidden secret that stuff on campus is heating up.
You see people on campus coming on with guns prior
to the event that happened with Charlie. The assassination with
Charlie and so I know that you know you And
I even even talked about how I used to say,
you know, Charlie, have you ever thought about wearing a vest?

(06:39):
He would nod to that and be like, you know,
I've looked into it. But he would always say, if
they're going to get me, they're going to get me.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
He wasn't afraid.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
It wouldn't have mattered anyways, if you were.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Best, if you haven't had the opportunity, It's definitely worth
a watch, and it's unfortunate, but again not surprising to
see so many individuals wanting to tear Erica Kirk down,
framing her as being some grifter or faking the tears.
And so often when you see that level of criticism

(07:13):
is because that's what the left does. They're the ones
that end up faking things so often, the gas lighting
that just takes place time and time again.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
I want to keep on this for a moment.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
I do have an immigration update that I want to
get to, and I have an interesting clip from Charlie
Kirk that I want to share as well as we
move into some immigration related stories and a further update
on that potential Halloween terror plot that was thwarted by
the FBI and yet continues to be ignored by the
legacy media. Before we get to that, though, I do

(07:48):
want to share with you another talkback that rolled in
relating to the filibuster, and this is pretty close, Adam,
is fairly close to where my head is at current
on this issue.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Hey, good morning guys, John.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
I disagree with these talkbackers.

Speaker 8 (08:05):
The Republicans would not be better at using this power
than the Democrats. They would use it once they'd get squishy,
they start fighting with each other. I would be in
favor of one thing. If they were to come out
with a list of everything they We're going to use
it for mandatory voter id no illegals voting ever. Put
that list forward, nuke to filibuster, use it for those things,

(08:29):
and then reinstate it.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
That is the only way.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
So we'll continue to follow this and see where it heads.
I'm convinced though you will. I think we'll have more
clarity on whether or not the theory is correct. The
Democrats are waiting to see where Republicans land on this
because right at the moment, there's no really good reason
now that they had the election victories that they had earlier,

(08:53):
this week for Democrats to continue with the with the
shutdown and case the only logical answer that I have
currently is that perhaps it's because they're hoping that the
Republicans will go in nuke it. But we'll see. All right,
We're gonna talk to some immigration and I want to
get you again updated on this Halloween terror plot. Let

(09:14):
me share this with you though. I found this as
I was going through my prep this morning. And we'll
talk more about zooron Mom Donnie later on in the hour.
But with Mom Donnie becoming the New York mayor, Charlie
Kirk had some rather interesting words to say just two
days before his assassinations. I'll share this with you, and

(09:35):
then coming up, the FEDS ended up arresting two additional
suspects in their thwarted Isis inspired Halloween plot. We'll get
details on that as well here on Twin Cities News Talk.
But here's what Charlie Kirk had to say again two
days before he was assassinated.

Speaker 7 (09:49):
The spiritual battle is coming to the West and the
enemies are Wokeism, re Marxism combining with Islamism to go
after what we call the American way of life and
the American way of life is very simple. I want
to be able to get married, buy a home, have kids,
allow them to ride their bike till the sun goes down,
send them to a good school, have a low crime neighborhood.

(10:12):
Not to have my kid be taught the lesbian, gay,
transgender garbage in their school.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
While also.

Speaker 7 (10:23):
While also not having them have to hear the Muslim
call to prayer five times a day.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
That's important.

Speaker 7 (10:32):
We want the American way of life, which is by
the way Christendom, Christians, our sacrifice, our toil, our vision,
the outgrowth of the scriptures gave us Western civilization. And
this is where I think is a great rallying. Crime
doesn't matter if you're Hispanic, doesn't matter if you're Asian,
doesn't matter if you're black or white, everybody, if you

(10:53):
are Christian and Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior,
these two threats are combining forces to come after us,
and it's time that the Church stands and rises up
against that.

Speaker 9 (11:02):
Hey, Jon, I'd like to thank you and your army
audience for getting me to understand why this is all
taking with so freaking long as I sit and listen
to this conversation, on Erica Kirk.

Speaker 10 (11:25):
What goes through my head is why do you guys
not see how over the top this is. You can't
because once again, it's driven by emotion.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
If I'm misinterpreting your comment here, I apologize, Sheila, and
I welcome you to leave another talk back to clarify
here on Twin Cities News Talk from the six y
five to one Carpet Next Day Install Studios. However, do
you mean to imply that Erica Kirk isn't being genuine

(12:09):
in her emotion over the assassination of her husband and
the father to her children, who was beloved by so
many individuals and was out trying to better the world
and put himself in harm's way. That's what it sounds like.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Now.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Many of you probably aren't familiar with Sheila. She's been
a longtime listener and I dub her a friend of
the show. She's also the most conspiracy minded listener that
I've ever come across on the show, and she probably
would not even mind my saying that. I hope I'm
misinterpreting what you're saying here, because if I'm not.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
It's utterly ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
I mean, maybe if you've lost somebody and didn't react
that way, but buying into exactly the way that those
on the left attempt to go and discredit this good
woman at a time of her grief.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
It was just a few months ago where her husband
was murdered.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
As a matter of fact, let me go to this
comment that came in from Heather prior to my playing
Sheila's talk back a moment ago.

Speaker 6 (13:25):
As someone who's lost their husband to a horrible accident,
I get.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
So angry if people criticize.

Speaker 6 (13:34):
The way a widow or widow weer mourns.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
For me, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, couldn't.

Speaker 11 (13:41):
Cry for a long time.

Speaker 6 (13:44):
And so it's sad that people would criticize the way
a widow is able to mourn.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
And I'm not going to say that losing my best
friend Drew, former host on this show, compares at all
to what Erica Kirk might be feeling. I'm certain that
it did for Drew's wife, Melissa, I have no doubt
about that, and circumstances there were obviously different in his passing,

(14:14):
and people deal with loss differently. Drew was, you know,
as you know, my best friend for over fifteen years,
an individual that I worked with and spent more time
for the six years before his passing here. In the
three years we worked together back in Tucson, I spent

(14:34):
more time with him on a daily basis than I
did with my or on a weekly basis Monday through Friday,
than I did with my wife and family.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
And we were best friends.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
And you know, there wasn't a matter of a few
hours that didn't go by that I didn't talk to him.
And it was devastating, absolutely devastating. I know what that
loss feels like like. And so you know, Sheila, I
know that we agree on a lot of the issues.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
I just.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Sometimes your takes in individuals that go down the conspiracy
trails so often on everything. I just find that to
be lazy and often a way for people to go
and escape their own frustration and insecurity about what's going
on in the world, to just assume that whatever they're
seeing is never on the up and up, that it

(15:21):
can never be genuine or authentic. It's just sad that
people have that particular point of view. All right, let's
go here. We have some other talkbacks that we're rolling in,
but let's I want to I want to get to
this Federal authorities have arrested two more men in connection
with a thwarted Halloween terror plot. Tomas Khan Jimenez Guzal nineteen,

(15:49):
Milo Sederat twenty one, both arrested on Tuesday. Additional accomplishes
still under investigation. More arrests possible and it's border I know,
technically speaking it's not, but this is the way that
I feel like it's almost journalistic malfeasance at this point
in time, that the legacy media is straight up.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Ignoring the story. They were due in federal court yesterday.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
The new arrests in New Jersey expand the suspect footprint
of the alleged to terror cell beyond Dearborn, Michigan, across
a larger swath of the United States. And again, these
were additional suspects arrested in the thwarted Isis inspired Halloween plot.
NYPD's Intelligence and counter Terrorism Bureau played a role in

(16:37):
their capture. On Monday, federal prosecutors announced charges against Mohmed
Ali and Mahjed Mahmoud, both twenty and both from Dearborn, Michigan,
for their alleged roles in the plot, which involved multiple
unnamed co conspirators and a juvenile. According to court documents,
they were accused of stockpiling guns and ammunition, practicing shooting,

(17:00):
and scouting a strip of LGBT nightclubs as potential targets. Again,
you would think that this would be continued commentary relating
to what's been taking place as of late's FBI It
has all of the necessary components for this to be
discussed on the national level, and yet the legacy media

(17:20):
is just ignoring it. This is coming from Fox News
what I'm reading the details from right now. They're accused
of stockpiling weapons and ammunition, practicing shooting. They allegedly codenamed
their plot Pumpkin. We talked about this earlier in the week.
Planned to attack one or more nightclubs on Halloween and
were inspired in part by the attacks on the Pulse
nightclub in Orlando, Florida on twenty sixteen and the Bata

(17:42):
Clan in Paris, France a year earlier. The FBI executed
search warrants on Friday in the homes of Ali and
Mahmoud and a storage unit they shared, seizing multiple semi
automatic rifles, a shotgun, handguns, tactical gear, and more. Than
sixteen hundred rounds and five point five to six ammunition.
I probably said that wrong, So my apologies. Second Amendment

(18:06):
enthusiasts Ali and Mahmoud are being held without bail.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
On Monday.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
They're doing federal court for detention hearings, and it's not
being covered because it doesn't fit the narratives that are
perpetuated by Democrats. And while this story doesn't get coverage,
and you think that it would, especially with all of
the talk regarding gun reforms, and here in Minnesota, by
the way, while still doing those down halls out of curiosity,

(18:35):
or that those just fade off into the ether, the
mainstream media is more willing to push a false narrative.
After authorities announced yesterday that ice officers did not target
a Chicago daycare, but we're pursuing an illegal immigrant who
fled into a building after multiple reports claimed the viral

(18:59):
video shows a teacher being dragged outside. So what happened
was you had this illegal alien in the country. Colombia
national Diana Patricia Santiliana Galliano previously released at the border
under the Biden administration in twenty twenty three. She fled
into the vestibule of a building following an attempted traffic

(19:21):
stop on Wednesday morning, so she ended up going into
the daycare, ICE officials going an arrest her. They ynchor
out activists aware of ICE's activities because this is what
left leaning politicians in these particular areas want to do.
They want to inform the activists to catch footage, and
they see ICE hauling an individual out of a daycare,

(19:42):
and immediately a narrative forms that a daycare worker was
arrested by ICE, and that is not what happened, but
the narratives out there, it gets perpetuated online, legacy media
runs with it initially, doesn't bother following up, and therefore
it's solidified in the minds of ignorant individuals who don't
bother to do their due diligence and do not care
when they end up seeing the truth. Speaking of your

(20:08):
pro illegal immigration narratives, I want to share with you
a quick one from the Minnesota Star Tribune, a rather
touching story, as they would want you to believe, of
a soccer field that becomes a refuge for a heated
immigration debate in Wilmer. That being said, there is no
mention of a couple of very relevant points relating to

(20:30):
this story and the abundance of concern the Star Tribune
lays out. Also, I have some really interesting audio from
Steven Miller talking with Fox News about exactly how the
Biden administration set everything that I was just mentioning up
in what transpired during those years when Biden was in office.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
I'll bring you details.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Next, and then we will return to Jacob Fry winning
a third term as Minneapolis mayor, odors turning out historic numbers,
what does it mean for Republicans here in Minnesota, and
how will the new Saint Paul Mayer be different from
Mayor Carter. It's all coming up on Twin Cities News Talk,
along with your talkbacks from the iHeartRadio app Don't Go Anywhere.

(21:23):
Continuing with a bit of an immigration update, a Wilmer
soccer field becomes a refuge from heated immigration debate. We'll
dive into this in just a moment. Talk a little
bit about the mayoral races in the Twin Cities. I
do want to return to a few of your talkbacks
here on Twin City's News Talk. From the six five

(21:44):
to one carpet Next Day install studios, we were playing
some audio of Erica Kirk. Jesse Waters in an interview
had an interesting comment from a friend of the show,
but conspiracy theorist regarding whether or not that was genuine
what Erica Kirk was saying and how she's been conducting herself.

(22:06):
And let's get to a few of your thoughts on this.
Come arn John conspiracy theories.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
I followed all the q Andon stuff.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Back in the day where that I'll go by the way, I.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Don't know, live and learn people, And if I'm gonna
listen to any of this stuff, I'm gonna need to improve.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Some people.

Speaker 10 (22:25):
You can listen, but you need to go validate it.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
And just because some random.

Speaker 12 (22:29):
Person claims they're an expert on hollistics or something like that,
you better look into what they're actually telling you.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Thanks for I love looking at the parallels between pop
culture and politics. Human behavior doesn't change. People act the
same way in both. One is entertainment, the other one
is policy and way of life. It makes me laugh
though in pop culture, and I've done this in my
pop culture, you know, commentaries and podcasts and whatnot. Respect

(23:00):
on future storytelling and what you believe is going to happen.
Based off of a trailer, and nine times out of
ten all that speculation is completely wrong.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
But there's never any follow up.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
There's never any going back to the breakdown of entertainment
material and the speculation attached to it. For people going, oh,
I was wrong about that, I was wrong about that,
I was wrong about everything. The same thing rings true
when it comes to so many of these conspiracy theories,
all these things that were supposed to take place that
just never ever come to fruition. Not to say that

(23:35):
some of the conspiracy theories aren't right, and there's certainly
a host of them that I'm hesitant to even go
and put into the conspiracy theory category, but things that
people will go and label as such of viewpoints of
conservatives and Republicans that ended up coming true. A lot
of that is just truth that were spun differently or

(23:56):
called conspiracies by Democrats that ended up being the reality
all all along. It's a lot different than speculation and
assumptions of baseless and wild speculation of what's really going on,
as it's every little thing that you watch and see
really isn't true and it's just all part of some
other bigger grand design.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Hey, guys.

Speaker 11 (24:16):
I'm sorry about this talk bag possitive being late, but
I lost my wife and slowly watched her past for
a year doing COVID. The fact that Charlie Kirk's wife
has people there that surround her with positive energy and
help hold her up as a God blessing. It's a
blessing from God that people are there for her, and

(24:40):
the fact that other people would think otherwise is absolutely disgusting.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
No, I agree, you know, and Erica Kirk is an
incredibly emotional, emotional individual.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
I don't want to wipe out too hard on this,
but you know, everybody has their quirks, everybody has a
personality doesn't align with everybody. I mean, we're crying out loud,
look at Donald Trump, I mean Sarah Palin, Christy Nome.
I was having an off air conversation about Christy Nome with.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Max Rymer.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
I think it was last weekend and he wouldn't mind
me talking about this, but Representative Max Rymer, we're talking
and I were talking about this off the air, and
you know, she's been lampooned a lot, and she's been
a good sporter about it because she has a look
and a personality that lends itself to that, but despite
all that, she's actually done a really, really good job.

(25:31):
It's not a negative, but people use that against him.
And it's not a surprise that Erica Kirk is as
emotional as she is and carries herself the way that
she does, especially when you consider Charlie Kirk.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
I mean, they really did make the perfect couple.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
It's just tragic that this is being used against her
the way that it is while she continues to mourn
and spread what Charlie Kirk and continue the legacy of
what Charlie Kirk was doing in this country.

Speaker 13 (25:56):
Hey, good morning. I think eric should be able to
mourn in private what people witness seeing her doing and
what she says the news is her business. The rest
of us just need to leave her alone, including on

(26:20):
this show there is, and let her go through her
grief process without us commenting on it.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Now, I disagree.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
You want to know why I disagree, Because Erica Kirk
is going on in public and talking about this on
national publications. I think that she or national news outlets
and publications. Also on the list of my favorite types
of talkbacks doing nothing with my fingers, favorite are those
that go and make a point. We want to get

(26:47):
a jab in there to this show as well. Special
Guy likes to do that a lot. If Erica Kirk
was mourning the loss of her husband and completely outside
of the media spotlight, I would give it to you,
but there also wouldn't be anything to comment on. But
she's not doing that. She's trying to continue the legacy
of her husband. She spoke with Fox News in a
lengthy interview. She agreed to go on national television, and

(27:10):
I would believe that it would be incredibly hypocritical for
her to go. I know I'm going on national television,
but you guys on the radio shouldn't be talking about it.
I give me a break already. It's completely irrational. And
as Donald Trump says after last.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Night results, the decision facing all Americans could not be
more clear.

Speaker 11 (27:29):
We have a choice between communism and common sense.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
Does that make sense to you? Common sense? It's common
sense or communism?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Yeah, yeah, exercise some common sense there, Special Guy. Every
year or two, goes the article from the Minnesota Star
Tribune from earlier this week. A player on Wilmer's boys
varsity soccer team drops out midyear, leaves the country head
coach Jeff Winner, knows exactly what happened. It's one of

(28:00):
the many challenges of coaching in this diverse west central
Minnesota town of twenty one thousand. All but two varsity
players this season are children of immigrants. Some are players
who are US citizens, some are permanent residents, some are
undocumented immigrants. Winter, the head coach, doesn't ask the best
players get playing time period. That's good, that's the way

(28:22):
it should be, but he constantly worries about the boys.
This year, Winter's worries have been even more stark as
a cloud of increased to immigration enforcement under the second
Trump administration hovered over Wilmer. National news world around them,
executive orders to halt illegal immigration, more ICE detentions than
ever before, massive rallies nationwide supporting immigrant rights. But in

(28:46):
this town and on this team, lives, lives are anxiously
moved forward. So this is a lengthy piece that I
spent some time going through. I'm not going to share
more from it except to make this point. I want
to play this clip from Stephen Miller. There's never any
mention of accountability in all of this. The article isn't

(29:08):
needlessly biased, it's actually a pretty well written piece, points
to the facts, pulse quotes from the relevant people, talks
about the varying issues, doesn't really take a stance either way. However,
there is no and I believe it would have been fair,

(29:30):
There is no cover of the issue. From the perspective
of all of this would be avoidable, all of this
concern in this article in and of itself if people
didn't break the law, or from the angle of maybe
more specifically, if you're legal, you have absolutely nothing to fear.

(29:51):
And while it's not blatant, and I actually will give
it a bit of credit for the way that it
was written by Reid forgrave.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Hill, is a glaring omission.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
That once again there is just no lack There is
just a complete lack of mentioning the accountability aspect relating
to this issue of illegal immigration. And when it comes
to children that are brought into the country illegally by.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Their parents, that's a family issue. Is it sad.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
That a child who was brought here with their parents
illegally is also subject to what their parents did?

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Well, sure, that's a family issue.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
If that child who then ends up growing up is
going to get mad at anybody, they should end up
getting mad at their parents for putting them in that situation.
That is the case when it comes to any child
that ends up being swept up in the actions of
their parents that ends up having a negative impact on
their lives. A single father or a single mother drinking

(31:02):
and driving, gets busted, thrown in jail, that child ends
up having to go to child protective services. You don't
see the articles written about that. You don't see the
cause of concern on the left of those children and
what's happened now it's not politically advantageous to do so.
People understand there's consequences for your actions, and children get
swept up and their parents' poor choices all the time.

(31:25):
But when it comes to immigration, no, there's a political
argument that can be made, and so the Democrats will
rush in to go and talk about that particular issue,
and articles will be written, and all of what we're
talking about here relating to immigration, it was all by design.
Steven Miller went on Fox News and laid out what
again was thought to be conspiracy as we continue to

(31:48):
sort of bring that topic up by those on the left,
but turned out to absolutely be the reality of what
the Biden and Harris administration did while they were in office.

Speaker 14 (31:59):
It's it for your audio is perfectly Sean. This was
not a loophole. The bid of the administration. Secretary of
Homeland Security Alejandro Majorkis devised a scheme to fly illegal
aliens into the country and then to escort them in
mass across the board by the millions, and to give
them something known as parole, which gives them a work permit,

(32:21):
which gives them which gives them a Social Security number,
which gives them access to the voting booth. This was
the plan all along to get them here illegally so
they can get free government benefits, get hooked to welfare,
and be able to participate in American elections.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
This was an attack.

Speaker 14 (32:38):
On democracy by the Democrat Party. It's the same attack
that we see, Sean, when you have California a sanctuary
stay that is refusing to turn over even illegal alien
criminals and gang members.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Two ice.

Speaker 14 (32:52):
So these are illegal aliens in California who have been
arrested by California police, by California law enforcement for serious crimes,
for crimes against children, for felonies, for crimes that threat
in public safety, and they are refusing to hand these criminal,
illegal aliens over to ICE. Instead, they're freeing them back
into the cities to offend and offend again. By any definition,

(33:16):
what California is doing is criminal. It is a violation
of our laws. It is one of the most caenous
things that I have seen in my.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
Entire and just to sort of reinforce the point of
what ICE is doing and the lack of bias within
our government, this comes out of the Independent UK. A
Trump themed burger chain that I was completely unaware of
until this point, became infamous after its owner was arrested
by ICE, forcing it to shut down. It's now being

(33:45):
replaced by a pizza joint. Trump Burger in Houston, Texas
was opened for just over five months before it closed
its doors following a series of legal battles. The chain
closed in October after its Knees owner, Roland Beanie, was
arrested by ICE. He had reportedly overstayed his twenty nineteen visa,

(34:08):
which was set to expire in twenty twenty four. Beanie's restaurants,
which are entirely themed around the US President and billed
as a patriotic haven for burger lovers, and sold the
Hamburgers stamped with Trump on them have now all.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Closed, according to local news.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Khou an I spokesperson said Beanie did not have any
immigration benefits that would prevent him from being arrested or
removed from the country. Beanie is a twenty eight year old,
a legal alien from Lebanon, said ICE in a statement,
who entered the United States in twenty nineteen as a
non immigrant visitor. He failed to depart by the twelfth

(34:49):
of February twenty twenty four, as required under the terms
of his admission, apparently alluding to whether Trump Burger's patriotic
theme would affect Beanie's immigration proceedings. A spokesperson said that
all individuals entering the US would be held accountable.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
That's right, Oh hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Under the current administration, ICE is committed to instoring integrity
integrity to our nation's immigration system by holding individuals accountable
who illegally enter the country and overstate the terms of
their admission.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
This is true regardless.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Of what restaurant you own or political beliefs that you
might have. Beanie was also sued by the landlord who
owns the property where his Trump Burger is located, who
aleds the restaurant had breached its lease agreement and owed
him almost to forty thousand dollars. Also a really good example,

(35:46):
as if you needed it. But why illegal immigration is
bad because you're starting off with a bad precedent, Your
constant state of illegality leads to a continued series of
bad choices, not unlike one live but gets a lie,
but gets a lie, that kind of thing. So if

(36:07):
you're already breaking the law and you're overstaying your visa
with regard, then you know what else are you willing
to do in order to go and stay in business. Now,
thankfully we have Ice and the Trump administration that's taking
care of everybody, regardless of who they may align with
politically or what is stamped across their burgers.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
All right, let's go back to local matters.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Jacob Frye, we'll have another four years to continue with
the fall of Minneapolis, because those are my words, not
the words of the Fox nine story in my hand
they wrote. So we'll have another four years to pursue
his vision of a rejuvenated Minneapolis. After being declared winner
of the winner of the city's of Wednesday may oral race.

(36:53):
Well because the winner of Tuesday's race yesterday on Wednesday.

Speaker 12 (36:58):
Hike John, Sure if you listened to Fry's press conference
after the election where he's thanking everybody, but I thought
it was ironic. While he's talking, there's sirens blaring in
the background after letting the city burn down, not doing
anything to support the police. Just tyronic tyrans are blaring. Thanks,

(37:21):
enjoy the show.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
A second round of vote tabulation in the city's rank
choice voting system pushed Fry over the fifty percent to
vote total needed to call the race. Under ranked choice voting,
fifteen candidates were vying for the mayor's office. Only Senator
Omar fat came close, garnering forty six, six hundred and
fourteen votes to Fry's sixty four and forty four.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Jacob Frye.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Was ahead by ten percent of the vote on the
first ballot. The people spoke, and yet they had to
go through this whole procedure of a second run through
of the tally based off of ranking of three candidates,
which ones you prefer.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
I mean, in what world is a candidate winning by
ten percent and you gotta go, oh, nope, not at
fifty I guess we need to go tabulate again until
we get the answer that we want.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
People are so incredibly ignorant on this too.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
I put did a post online regarding Jacob Frye and
ranked choice voting, and the commentary from individuals tried to
make the claim that this is a better way, a
better This is a better and fairer process to make
sure that all voices are heard. Voices being heard, by
the way is like the biggest priority that Saint Paul
Mayor elect Kohuli Herr has. We'll get to this coming

(38:44):
up in just a moment on Twin City's News Talk.

Speaker 15 (38:48):
Hey Sean, as someone who lives in Minnesota, seeing Jacob
fry win for a third time is actually really embarrassing
for Minnesota. In my opinion, Jacob Mayor fry is he's
a failure. He failed to quell the riots in twenty twenty,
he failed to dispel the homeless, and we're gonna burn

(39:12):
like New York if we don't do something. Thank god,
he says, this is his last turn.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
First off, it's a john.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
Just to clarify, Hey Sean, I don't think anybody disagrees
with you.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
I just don't know what your better option was.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
I mean, if you look at the front runners and
the alternative, it was Omar Fat and that would have
been much worse. So I agree with you, he is
a failure. I don't dismiss that at all. Unfortunately, this
is what the people of Minnesota ended up voting for. Now,
before we get to the city of Saint Paul, I

(39:48):
want to stay here just a moment. There's a lengthy
article on a Carolevin.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Minneapolis.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Saint Paul voters set new benchmarks for turnout in municipal
elections on Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
They weren't alone.

Speaker 1 (39:58):
Across the country, vote turned out in force and a
variety of local and statewide races. Democrats were the biggest
beneficiaries of the increased turnout. The voters sent, according to
this article, messages to the leaders of both parties. One
political analyst, Brian McClung said, I think one of the
lessons to be learned is that people are concerned about

(40:21):
pocketbook issues. The Republicans, I think, kind of lost sight
of the fact that inflation in the economy really brought
them into office in last year's election. It's almost always
the economy that is the party that can best harness
that and convince voters that they're on the side when

(40:41):
it comes to better jobs, better pay, inflation rising costs,
that party pretty much wins. Trump went on to say
that one particular reason economic issue may have played it,
and that would be the shutdown. If you read the polsters,
the shutdown was a big factor negative for Republicans. Listen,
all of this is make it way, way, way too complicated.

(41:02):
I know, and I know what it's like to be
in this position. You have, you know, an outlet common
They want to ask you for your opinion, and you
want to give them a thoughtful answer and it's probably
your view. But often you end up over complicating things
because in reality, like I mentioned yesterday, Trump not being

(41:22):
on the ballot, millions of outstate dollars in multiple races
that the Democrats won and it mostly blue states ended
up contributing to those election victories. But because there and
there isn't and I'll explain, because there isn't like a
ton going on right now because of the shutdown, the
media has to gravitate towards something and create narratives. And

(41:44):
so the popular narrative, after all the Republicans winning, is
to jump on board with this all.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Look at this blue wave that took.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
Place, incredible, such a comeback, as I mentioned yesterday on
the show see Empire strikes.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Back, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
And yeah, there should be some thoughtfulness put into the
outcome by Republicans moving forward. But it is hardly a
political sky is falling moment for conservatives. As I talked
about earlier in the show, it hasn't been discussed at
all that Abigail Spanberger ran a relatively bi current modern

(42:21):
day Democrat standards, a moderate campaign. She shunned Democrats during
the entirety of her run on racial issues, on transit issues,
saying that it wasn't going to go and get Democrats elected,
So she was appealing to the more moderate voters that
are still out there, and because of that, she's the

(42:43):
one that ended up dragging Jay Jones across the finish
line because people didn't want to go and split their votes.
So this is not a sky is falling moment by
any stretch whatsoever. And as a matter of fact, is
we'll get into here in just a moment. I got
a couple of clips to play. John Solomon was on

(43:05):
The Real America's Voice Talks a bit about Zohron Mom Donnie,
because I want to move him into the mix here.
And I have a clip of Mom Donnie as well,
already begging voters for money, because I want to bring
clarity to that too, because he's not going to be
nearly as effective and moving forward on his socialist plan

(43:25):
as most people who voted for him believe he's going
to be. And when you get into the race in
Saint Paul, Cohouli her I mean, I think the Saint
Paul residents are going to find out quickly whether or
not they actually voted for change or whether they just
simply went and gender swapped their mayor.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
