Jack as someone who's employed by the Dodgers currently, how
great is this for you?

This is amazing.

It's a nerve wrecking feeling, to be honest. It's just
like always it's always so scary because we want to
keep on going. We wanted you for a team, but
at the same time we're like, also, okay, we got
to work. So it's like there's so many emotions, to
be honest.

Not for sure, for sure, are you prepared for a letdown? Yeah,
I'm always fine. I'm not I'm not.

I ever since twenty nineteen. I joined the team in
twenty nineteen. Yeah, and twenty nineteen we just like it
was really bad the way that we exited. Twenty twenty
didn't get a chance. It was COVID year. Yeah, twenty
twenty one didn't happen, Like, so this is a year
that like, I feel like I can really hopefully experience
a world series and hopefully get a ring.

I was always bum jack because I covered the team
for a lot of years over ten, you know, and
like there are a lot of playoffs. We always got
our you know, the Phillies always got us, and I
was always like, you know, it was always real fucking
frustrating and then you know, but I was able to
be a part of some cool celebrations in the locker
room and have all those moments and it was a
lot of fun. But they never got that world series, yeah,
you know, and it was always like, damn it so close.

And I always just really think about the people in
the organization, you know that I worked with, like Yvonne
and Joe and just all those nice people that were
just really great people that never got that experience, you know,
and luckily a lot of them were still there in
twenty twenty to get it, So I was always thankful
that they ended up. But I mean, the city hasn't
had a parade like twenty twenty. We weren't able to

have the parade for them or the Lakers, remember, So
like this would be awesome if they could figure out
a way to do it.

And we all want to see the Yankees, right, yeah, sure.

But at the same time, I would They're a.

Really good team, Like you got to beat the best

So I'd rather play the Yankees than anybody else just
because I just think that'll be such a movie and
not a lot of people have seen that in our
in their lifetime, right, because I think the last time
they played them was eighty yea, if I'm not mistaken,
I think eighty the Dodgers beat them on you Yeah, yeah,
that was like that was when it was you know,
the the you know, uh, Tommy Desorta was the manager.

But that was way back even before like I think
Fernando days, right or was he a rookie in that series?
I have to google it, but that was a long
freaking time of that was a really long time ago,
so it would be great for this generation to see that.
And then you have the stars like you know with Judge,
you know Tani. I mean you couldn't talk about two
bigger stars, Yeah, you know, facing each other in the

this team was stacked, Like we're spoiled, insane, spoiled.

Well you have, I mean think about all the Atanis
want MVP, Mookies want MVP multiple actually yeah, and Fredy
Freeman's won, So it's like you think about from the
top to bottom. It's it's just it's wild man and
we are really spoiled. I think Steve Sachs I saw
a post today I think it probably was on A
five seventy, which is our sister station, and he said,

He was part of one of those great ones, because
I mean he played with the Ron Says and the
Davey Lopes and all those poles are part of those
teams you know, that had Kirk Gibson and all those

at those teams versus these teams, and it's just like
it's insane. But we are about as blessed as we
can be, you know when it comes to teams. Yes, well,

that space for for regional Mexican acts, especially the ones
that are Mexican American to come here, stop buying and
just be able to express themselves. Uh you know, yeah,

generation people here. They you know, in order to you know,
be a part of you know, uh, their their their

friend peer groups at school or whatever. They were into
hip hop, you know, as part of just their daily life,
and that's what they were seeing on social media and
that's what you're seeing on the internet and all that.
So they know what time it is and you're you
guys are right, man. It's a great vehicle. And you know,
hopefully we're going to do some more stuff with them
in the future without giving too much away.

And you know what also maybe like some of them
may be also at some point had like hip hop aspirations,
but maybe they saw difficulty breaking in. That's so they
stuck to till it was like, Okay, well this is
kind of like what we're supposed to do, but let's

to it.

A really good interview with Clave that you know that

and then for them to perform in here, it was
really amazing.

I just know that as long as I keep elevating
to a certain degree, had a boy, it will work

I think, yeah, I think specialities that they were super dope.
I think you could see like their confidence in speaking
in English as opposed to traditional you know, Spanish like
or Spanish stations, like they were really more comfortable. And

I think that was something that Sindy even pointed out immediately,
like it really was a discussion and they were like, yeah,
he loved it. He said that's the most comfortable. He
felt that was like the best interview for him. And yeah,
I mean there's a we need to create keep in
that space for for regional Mexican acts, especially the ones
that are Mexican American to come here, stop buying and
just be able to express themselves. Uh you know, yeah,

give them a space for space, you know, you know,
And I think that's what we're gonna win.

You know, I think their hip hop influence, right, A
lot of it is the corridos and stuff like the models.
All of that is hip hop influence, and I think
it takes us to to to help that and to
give it a space.

You're somewhat of a bridge for sure.

And if you listen to Alex in the interview, he's like,
I don't even like the new stuff. He's like, I
like easy, I like ice cube, Like I mean, so,
I mean he knows what it is. And then you know,
if I believe he said they were first generation right here,
let you know, so, I mean a lot of first
generation people here. They you know, in order to you know,
be a part of you know, uh, their their their

friend peer groups at school or whatever. They were into
hip hop, you know, as part of just their daily life,
and that's what they were seeing on social media and
that's what you're seeing on the internet and all that.
So they know what time it is and you're you
guys are right, man. It's a great vehicle. And you know,
hopefully we're going to do some more stuff with them
in the future without giving too much away.

And you know what also maybe like some of them
may be also at some point had like hip hop aspirations,
but maybe they saw difficulty breaking in. That's so they
stuck to till it was like, Okay, well this is
kind of like what we're supposed to do, but let's
let's let's what we're expected to do, but let's do
our own twist with like a hip hop you know
to it.

it's not like for sure, is that one of the
hotel employees gave him the drugs and the way that
they were able to give him the drugs was when
they were refilling his his bathroom supplies. They hit it
in the does. So they're also saying that because there's

a WhatsApp audio from one of the hotel employees, saying
that one of the employees was going to get fired
by the end of that day. So yeah, yeah Shaker, Well.

And so it sounds like the guys in that was
an addict.

I mean he had talked about before, like his struggle
with addiction with alcohol and like you know, going to
certain other substances.

But I saw a clip where he's like, I can't
be left I can't be left alone in a hotel
room for too long.

Well, see that's the thing too. He had said, like when.

The girls just left right, she went back home.

She had gone home like a couple of days before.
But that's what he had said, like in a solo
interview after like one direction had broke up years later.
He was like, you have to think about it. The
safest way and the quickest way that they were able
to contain us when we got so big was to
just leave us in our hotel room and he goes,
and that's where we stayed most of the time. We
never left our hotel.

They couldn't go anywhere, he.

Like, so we had to like figure out how to do.
And what's in a hotel room a mini bar, He's like,
and that's how my addiction started.
