Speaker 1 (00:01):
Time now for Fantasy Football Weekly from iHeartRadio, your weekly
source for the nation's best fantasy speculation and advice. Now,
along with the guys from dat leagues dot com, here's
your host, Paul Chargion.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Hello and welcome to a live edition of Fantasy Football Weekly.
All right, Wow, we are live at Treasure Island Resort
and Casino. It is fantastic to be here in front
of so many of our fans. With me is the

(00:38):
full Fantasy Football Weekly crew, and let me introduce it.
You'd know them by voice, you don't necessarily know them
by face. At the far end, a man who's non
consensual love for Sam Darnold runs so deep his restraining
order does not allow him within one hundred miles of
Puget sound.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Brian Johnson, what up? What up? I hope you hear me, Sam,
I love you.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Next to Brian, a man who is so new, so
green to this show. He's actually contracted genital leprosy.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Can't why rock?

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Actually, I'm just Scott Fish with a lot of hair.
Scott Fish with a lot of hair.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
I like.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
I like the sound of that.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
To my immediate left, a man so deep in JJ
McCarthy's Jock. He can give you JJ's PSA score to
fifteen digits. Thorn Eystrom, you want to turn your mic boo.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
There you go. Do you guys actually want that?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
And a man currently triple dipping government benefits under the
names of Matt Harrison, Dieter von Forst and Goat and
Colin mccochney.

Speaker 6 (01:53):
That's not me. Matt Harrison's not me at all. No,
he's always in the other room. We bring him out.
I just go get him right.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
But that doesn't mean you can't get the Social Security benefits.

Speaker 6 (02:05):
No, the Colin mccochney, they're illegal, aliens and foreigners.

Speaker 7 (02:09):
They don't get those benefits.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Never hear No, no, no, certainly not. We have so
much fun stuff to get to. We are going to
agree to disagree on six different players. You'll find out
who they are and give you two sides of that story.
We're going to talk through some of the vacated targets
that teams have.

Speaker 7 (02:26):
We're going to talk about where's the perfect spot to.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Draft from in the first round and the subsequent players
you can get after that, and help you determine where
in the first round do you want to be and
you the audience will get to make the ultimate determination
on the best spot for that. We'll give you some
data around that. At the end of the show, we
will have our sleepers, we will have our three tough questions.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
But also you know what's coming.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Every year at the van See Football training camp, we
give you the reach around.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
We will give you ten players with whom you should
reach one round ahead to get on yours.

Speaker 6 (03:14):
Did I hear Phonsie? What does Phonsie have to do
with the reach around?

Speaker 8 (03:18):
Hey, I didn't do the Fantasy Fonsi yet, but I
left the lagoon just for the reach around.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
So oh that's why I am.

Speaker 8 (03:26):
Here outstanding, Outstanding, No, the wristband at the lagoon at
Lovely Treasure Island Resort, I can see you know, Yes,
the happiest place on earth where we are.

Speaker 7 (03:35):
Brian's in the kiddie pool.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Again, this is a segment, Garrison, don't get me started,
all right, Let's jump into agree to disagree, and then
at the end of each one of these you, the
audience will get to decide who won the head to
head battle between co hosts. Our first player with whom

(03:59):
we agree to disagree is Jordan Addison Minnesota Viking. We
begin with Brian Johnson. Which side of the coin are
you on?

Speaker 8 (04:10):
I guess I'm playing bad cop with Jordan Addison. There
has been a few of those career, so we'll be
missing the first three games as as we all know,
so that that's not good for old j A.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Then the the Vikings have a bye in.

Speaker 8 (04:25):
Week six, so you get two games out of Jordan
Addison in the first six weeks, one of them against
the Steelers. That's kind of a stopper matchup almost for
most most players. And then the Vikings get the Eagles
coming out of their bye week in week seven, so
a brutal start for Addison. I'm gonna get into JJ

(04:45):
McCarthy with Thor in a little bit. That's gonna go
over great for me, I'm sure, But who has zero
experience against starting.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Save your AMMO for that one.

Speaker 7 (04:56):
You're just Vikings today, But.

Speaker 8 (05:00):
I'm out on Addison. I yeah, Dynasty, sure, Redraft, Nope,
not for me.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
This year.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
I'll try to make the case for Jordan Addison. You
already know this most of you that are listening. Many
times young receivers breakout in year number three. Well, Jordan
Adison's ahead of the curve. He broke out last year.
Last year from in the second half of the season,
Jordan Addison was wide receiver eighteen. That is wide receiver
two on your roster, and he has already done it.

(05:29):
I just heard Dwayne macfarland's new podcast and he talked
about how year two receivers who are already a wide
receiver two. So if you're a sophomore receiver like Addison
was last year, and you're already a wide receiver two,
sixty four percent of the time you improve on that
showing in your third year. Addison likely to get better here.
He's only twenty three years old, Jordan Addison. Amika Abuka

(05:53):
coming into this year as a rookie is six months younger.
That's it. That's how young this kid is. He's going
to get better. You're gonna take your lumps in those
first three weeks, but for the rest of the year,
you've got what should be a good prospect. All right,
Everybody makes you have to make noise. You can't just
like nod or anything. If you think Brian is correct

(06:14):
to avoid Jordan Addison.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Make some noise.

Speaker 7 (06:20):
Ooh more than I thought. If you are on my.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Side with Jordan Addison and you think you should draft him.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
Make some noise.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah yeah, all right, that sounds.

Speaker 7 (06:31):
Like a weird Chargins.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Well done.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Okay, let's go to our next degree to disagree, and
it is Kansas City wide receiver Xavier Worthy, and we
begin with Kent.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
I'm gonna go ahead and kick this off and say
that Xavier Worthy is a really cool, fun player to watch,
but if you're gonna try and rely on him on
a weekly basis, you're gonna run into some proms. He
had eight games with three or fewer receptions last year,
ten games with fewer than fifty receiving yards, and Rashide
Rice was missing the majority of that season. He's seventy
fifth out of one hundred and ten wide receivers in

(07:05):
PFF receiving grade last year. Not a great look, and
forty two percent of his targets are either deep balls
or behind the line of scrimmage. He might not be
like a gadget guy totally, but he's sort of kind
of like a gadget guy and it's not going to
improve much this year, I don't think.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
All right, thor, Let's take the other side of it.
Xavier Worthy, make your case for him. I get this, well,
you could just hold the hole, Mike stand right to
your mind. I think that maybe actually you move yourself
to the mic. There is that option as well.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Is this on?

Speaker 1 (07:35):
No?

Speaker 9 (07:35):
Yeah, okay, you guys hear me. I'm pros. I like
Xavier Worthy this year. So Xavier Worthy down the stretch
last year and then you included to the playoffs went off.
He had It was twelve tds if you count the playoffs,
but ten of those came over the final eight games.
Like if you in the finale the Chiefs played the Broncos,
didn't play any of their starters. You tossed that out

(07:58):
the last I think it was the last five regulars
and games. Then they're three playoff games. Ends up having
ten touchdowns. You saw the manufactured touches for Xavier Worthy
which evoked Tyreek Hill, like the usage. I don't believe
he's Tyreek Kill, but there he's an amalgamation of that
for that offense. Ended up having twenty carries last year.
You see the Jets sweeps with him, Rashi Rice obviously

(08:18):
coming off the injury, and then Rashe Wright's gonna be
suspended in what late September, early October, so it could
be a slow acclamation for him. Travis Kelsey slowing down
Xavier Worthy is gonna get a ton of touches this year,
pro Zaverworthy.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
All right, let's see what you think and who won
this battle. Are you in ken side and you're anti
Xavier Worthy?

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Okay? And are you on Thor's side and.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
You're pro Xavier Worthy.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
That is a win for Thor.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Let's go to our next player, and that is Garrett Wilson.
I'm up again for this one. Yeah, yeah, it is
Matt versus charge. I we use we've been starting with antis,
so I am anti Garrett Wilson. I'll try to make
my case here, and it goes like this. He's a

(09:10):
good player, he's in a horrible situation, and there's a
lot of things that worry me about the Jets offense. First,
they got a brand new offensive coordinator named Tanner Engstrand.
The reason you don't know anything about Tanner Engstrand is
because haven't done anything. His only play calling duties were
in the XFL. He was the passing game coordinator.

Speaker 7 (09:30):
For the Lions.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I mean, that's like the fourth person removed from the
head coach. Right, Wilson is gonna get no help from
the other receivers on the team. And I even challenge
you to name a Jets receiver on the team right now,
Alan Lazard, somebody got correct, Little Josh Reynolds mixed in,
Tyler Johnson Gopher fans also on that roster right now.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
No MALICKI Corley Love over there.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
There is no Malachi Corley Lofoor guy that right last year.
He knew that guy was not going to work out,
and he needs not going to Some defenses are going
to face the Jets in that passing game and simply
say we're going to take Garrett Wilson away and make
you beat us with Alan Lazard, and.

Speaker 5 (10:13):
They'll take their chances.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Justin fields Field's also not an aerial volume passer. Last
year in those six games as the Steelers starter, his
number one receiver, George Pickens wide receiver forty six.

Speaker 7 (10:27):
George Pickens isn't good charge.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Garrett Wilson is better than George Pickotts, So I don't
know if he's good enough. All right, make your case,
Matt four, Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 6 (10:36):
Well, if you heard last week's show I said, Garrett
Wilson's gonna finish as a top five wide receiver, So
we got that going for us. But there's only eight
wide receivers who have topped one thousand yards in each
of the last three seasons. Three of them are aged
twenty nine or older. That's McLaurin, DeVante and Mike Evans.
Four of them are first round picks Chase Jefferson, Lamb

(10:58):
and Aman Ross Saint Brown, and the other one is
Garrett Wilson, who's currently going off as a third rounder.

Speaker 7 (11:03):
And Wilson has.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
Dealt with hot, flaming garbage as his quarterbacks for the
last three years. Zach Wilson, thirty nine year old Joe Flacco,
Mike White, Trevor Simeon, and forty one year old Aaron Rodgers.
Justin Fields is the best quarterback he's ever had, and
by the way, these two played together at Ohio State

(11:25):
for two seasons, there's already that built in chemistry. In
Field's last full season as a starter, DJ Moore was
the sixth best wide receiver in PPR leagues. He had
almost fourteen hundred yards and eight touchdowns on a Bears
team that had no idea what they were doing offensively.
This is the best offensive line that Fields has ever

(11:45):
played behind, with the best receiver he's ever had. And
there's vacated targets all over the place with Adams gone,
and there's no competition for touches.

Speaker 7 (11:53):
Garrett Wilson is gonna be awesome this year.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Don't steal my vacated targets. O. Hell, that's coming in
a few minutes here, Yeah, preview. Right for those of
you that do not want Garrett Wilson on your team,
if you're on my side, make some noise, all right,
those of you that are ready to go to war
with Garrett Wilson, let's hear it.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Oh, you are the winner.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Back.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
I defeated you, but it's been the pro every time.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
It's really hard, it's a very optimistic.

Speaker 7 (12:21):
You are really nice people, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
All Right, let's go to our next head to head
battle and this is gonna be a doozy, right. Yeah,
have you heard of JJ McCarthy. Let's first hear the
anti McCarthy slander coming from Brian Johnson.

Speaker 8 (12:41):
All Right, everyone, you already as to see football show,
the reality football show down the hall.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
We're talking numbers, here. We want points stats.

Speaker 8 (12:52):
Yeah, bring it on, buddy, I was so, I'm a
best ball degenerate. I've done four hundred drafts so far
since January. JJ mccarr is the fourth highest owned quarterback
I've drafted. I believe in him, but the price tag
getting way too steep at quarterback twelve right now.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
We already touched on the Jordan.

Speaker 8 (13:10):
Addison stuff that's not gonna help him by any means.
And look, JJ McCarthy has zero experience in the NFL.
I'm not saying he's gonna be bad thor I can
see him steaming right now. But the identity of his
Vikings team is its defense and his run game. They're
not gonna rely on JJ McCarthy. He is way too

(13:32):
costly at the QB thirteen to fourteen range. Give me
the later value, Bryce Young, my boy, Gino Smith cam Ward.

Speaker 7 (13:42):
This seems like, damn Donald.

Speaker 8 (13:46):
We'll all outscore JJ McCarthy this year in fantasy.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Put it on Wax.

Speaker 8 (13:51):
And by the way, the Vikings will never win fourteen
games ever again.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Wow, under I heard about Sam Donald. Not on QB.
The Vikings will not win fourteen games.

Speaker 8 (14:05):
One plan for him right now, I'm not a I'm
getting my money as complete silence you go.

Speaker 7 (14:10):
Ryan comes up fort here, all.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Right, thor it is time for a stirring rebuttal.

Speaker 9 (14:16):
Well, before he went into the nonsense at the end there,
I think he was trying to say, McCarthy is twelve
ADP quarterback. Where are you getting your data? First off,
I'm seeing nineteen.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Well that's the ADP is correcting.

Speaker 8 (14:29):
If you do a draft, he's going like thirteen fourteen
right now, and it wasn't the last one you did
or on documented eight pople Well I did like seven today. Yeah,
trust me. You can have to trust me here.

Speaker 9 (14:39):
So in the draft range that he actually goes, which
is like QB seventeen eighteen nineteen, he's still a tremendous value.
Kevin o' but since you said QB twelve, I got
I got stats for you. Since you want to play
real football, Kevin O'Connell. Two seasons with Kirk Cousins QB twelve,
QB five, Sam Donald your boy last year QB seven

(14:59):
in phase. So every year Kevin O'Connell's had top twelve quarterbacks.
McCarthy's gonna add a rushing element that O'Connell's offense has
never seen before. You're gonna see him used around the
goal line, use his legs. They're already doing this in practice.
They obviously fix the interior offensive line. Then you have
Jordan Mason there, but they're they're doing stuff off of

(15:19):
that where you know, give it to Mason. Give it
to Mason. Now we're gonna fake it and pull it
around the side. Seeing this in practice, the bootleg concepts,
he's gonna steal some touchdowns with his legs. Kevin O'Connell's
never not had a four thousand yard team passing team
in any of his years calling plays. McCarthy's one of
the more talented quarterbacks he's ever worked with.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
He's got a bazooka for an arm.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Was one mile prower off.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
The max Velo NFL Combine record high four.

Speaker 7 (15:45):
To four speed.

Speaker 9 (15:46):
He had the six fastest three cone at the NFL
Combine irregardless of position in twenty twenty four. He's gonna
have a big seat obviously the supporting cast and Kevin
O'Connell as a coach. I think he's going to be
a top twelve quarterback. But a good value on the.

Speaker 8 (16:03):
This is not shall, but by the way, better athlete
than JJ McCarthy could have played college basketball.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
This is we can't do the whole show, okay, this
one agreed to disagree.

Speaker 9 (16:17):
Trying to say lead footed Sam Donald's a better athlete
than JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Get out of here all day long, he probably be.

Speaker 7 (16:24):
Let's let's put an let's put an end to this.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Those of you are on the anti JJ McCarthy for
fantasy makes some noise. Also, that's the number of Packer
fans that we have in attendance. It was a packer hat.
Those of you that are on the pro JJ side

(16:48):
arousing victory. Our final agree to disagree is a face
off between Matt and Kent.

Speaker 7 (16:55):
Who's on the anti side of this one?

Speaker 3 (16:56):
That's me?

Speaker 2 (16:57):
All right, Matt, Let's let's have you go first, make
your case. Alvin Kamara thirty year.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
Old Alvin Kamara is about to start his ninth season
in the league. In his first full year, he played
all sixteen games and I had both him and Adrian
Peterson and a roster together. But in the next seven
seasons he has not played a full season. He has
never topped one thousand rushing yards in a season.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
Look it up. Really, he's never done it. That's shocking.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
He is not topped four point two yards per carry,
which isn't great in four straight years, and he's been
limited to four, six and eight total touchdowns in the
last three seasons. It's a new scheme, a new coaching staff.
The QB situation is probably the worst in the league.
With Spencer Rattler or as Shucks A shucks, yeahs Shucks.

(17:47):
I gotta start him.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
That's you know, We've got a lot of nicknames on
the show for players over the year.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
I like as Shucks was on three college teams. By
the way, there's just too many red flags for me
to draft him even in the fifth round, which is
a out where he's going right now. There's other upside
available in drafts right there.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
No, thanks, Ken, We need a short rebuttal here to
keep us on time.

Speaker 4 (18:07):
Yeah, before the show, you guys are touting your experience
and how long you've been doing this for. Well, I
think Alvin Kamaria has experience that he's gonna bring to
the table. And you talk about rushing yards, how about
more than eleven hundred scrimmage yards every single season he's
been in the year in the league. With all that experience.
He averaged a running back six points per game last

(18:28):
year when he was playing, So he's gonna do that
again this year with whatever quarterback is gonna be in.
Rattler doesn't care. He was gonna have. He was averaging
over twenty attempts per game, excuse me, ten attempts and
nine targets per game with Spencer Ratler last year. He's
gonna do it again with whoever starting, does not matter.
Go Alvin Kamara.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
All right, let's see what you think who wins this?
Agree to disagree? If you are on the anti Alvin
Kamara side, makes some noise. And if you're on the
pro Alvin Camara side, Matt, I believe you have gone
to and oh sweep and you are the winner of

(19:09):
agree to disagree sor did you go to and o
oh well maybe yeah, maybe a co title? All right
with an asterisk, Well done, Well done, guys, well done.
When we come back vacated targets, find out which teams
have the most available targets for somebody new to get
What are the teams and who are the players that
can most benefit. Coming up next, Fantasy Football Weekly Live

(19:33):
from Treasure Island Resort and casino. Welcome back to a

(19:58):
live edition of Fantasy Football Weekly. This segment is devoted
to vacated targets. We're gonna talk about the five teams
that have the most available targets and who can fill
that vacuum and perhaps get a lot more usage this

(20:20):
year than last year. We begin with the fifth most
vacated targets and that's the Jacksonville Jaguars two hundred and
twelve available targets for this team. Notable departures are Evan Ingram,
Christian Kirk, and I don't know if Gabe Davis really counts,
but he was next on the list of targeted players.

Speaker 8 (20:39):
I still think the Dan Arnold departure from the Jaguars
is still notable from a couple of years ago.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Right, big void for them. They haven't recovered from fully.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
My heart has not recovered. Yes, So who's gonna benefit?

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Well, obviously Travis Hunter will benefit. You can see his
picture here if you are in per He will get
a lot of the two twelve, but obviously not two
hundred and twelve. But he could get a hundred of
the two hundred and twelve, maybe more Brenton Strange is
a popular second tight end that people could add.

Speaker 8 (21:11):
I just hope that every time he catches the pass,
they play just Strange days, just a snippet from the.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Doors every time he catches a pass. That's all I want.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
When you're strange, that's the song.

Speaker 7 (21:24):
But it's not quite trying and you're sober I trying.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
Sorry, sorry interrupt love Brenton's.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
If you're in a deep league, Diami Brown is an
interesting dude. He's at a great camp. He finally did
a little something at the end of last year for
the first time in his entire career in Washington, and
then leaves and he might actually be an okay, deep
deep stash. There's your three players that could benefit in Jacksonville.
Let's go to our next team. The fourth most vacated
targets are the New York Jets. Somebody mentioned this earlier,

(21:57):
So your available targets here two hundred and fourteen. Your
notable departures are Davante Adams, Tyler Conklin, and there was
nobody else.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
I like, there's that team.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Didn't bother throwing to anybody else except maybe a little
Alan Lazarredi's still on the team. So who's your benefit,
Garrett Wilson, Nobody, it's your benefit. There's no there's no
help here. We're not drafting Allen Lazar. I already won
this argument, Robinson. Garrett Wilson was already peppered with targets.
Maybe he gets a few more here, but you he

(22:29):
didn't get enough last year because DeVante Adams was gone.
So I think you might be right about that.

Speaker 8 (22:34):
All right, gonna lead or second. Garrettilson will lead the
Jets and catches, but Mason Taylor is going to be
your second leading receiver calling the shot right now. Not
a tight end, Mason Taylor. All right, I'll believe like
Mason Taylor Thor.

Speaker 5 (22:50):
I don't think Thor is a big fan, or he
doesn't catch the ball down the field. He can pay
per cut you.

Speaker 9 (22:54):
But Justin Field has never really thrown the tight ends,
and he's not good anticipatory thrower. And that's what Mason
Taylor did with those smirret lsus.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
So I don't know.

Speaker 6 (23:02):
I I love it when we order in Thor and
he just goes exactly exactly.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
This makes me wonder how we did the show for
like twenty nine years without thor Your third team with
most third most vacated targets the Los Angeles Rams the
two hundred and fifteen. Your notable departures are Cooper Cup,
DeMarcus Robinson, and Tyler Johnson won two and three in targets,
So the beneficiaries are DeVonta Adams. We just referenced with
the Jets, who is now obviously with the Rams, and

(23:29):
we'll get a lot of targets. Jordan Whittington kind of
an interesting deep stash if you're if for those in
deeper leagues, if you want to try the third option
on this team and then two two at Well doesn't
do a lot for me. You know, you get like
one great play a month. That's very unpredictable. Whittington, I
think is is going to get a little more time
than he got last year. Potential deep stash there.

Speaker 7 (23:51):
More like one to one at Well.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
I like it.

Speaker 7 (23:55):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
The team with the next most vacated targets and it's
a big jump up the number two team, Cleveland Brown's
two hundred and thirty five vacated targets. Your notable departures
Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, Jordan Atkins. This surprised me because
I didn't think the Browns would have that many available targets.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
They did.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Your beneficiaries, and I'm interested in all three of these players.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
I think they're all being underdrafted.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Jerry Judy, who came on strong once once Deshaun Watson
got off the team.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
He was there. He was very good.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Cedric Tillman is a big bodied young player. You can
see the picture of him right here if you're those
of us that are in attendance. And David and Jokuo's
one of my favorite tight ends to outperform his adp
Love and Joku this year. And we may even talk
about him a little bit later. Yeah, brown super sneaky
the pass game. They were top five and passing play
percentage last year. They were throwing the ball like sixty

(24:48):
five percent of the time.

Speaker 8 (24:49):
And if you're in a deep, deep league, Deontay Johnson
maybe if yeah, you know, going into last year he
was a going in the first eight rounds.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
He refines his mojo.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Kevin Stefanski is a really good coach when he doesn't
have to have Deshaun Watson as his quarterback. All right,
let's go to the team with the most vacated targets,
and that is the Seattle Seahawks.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
You're no.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Two hundred and thirty five available targets. DK Metcalf gone,
Tyler Lockett gone. They had been the main stays there forever.
No offense never quite panned out. So who benefits Cooper?
I see, I don't think it is Cooper Cup immediately
seems like the obvious choice. But Cooper Cupp plays the slot,
so does Jackson Smith and Jig. But who's way better
at this stage of their respective careers.

Speaker 7 (25:38):
That's a that's an issue.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Then there's Tory Horton, the round five rookie thor talk
to me about I think he could be a starter
as early as Week one, but you would know better
than me about his game.

Speaker 9 (25:49):
Tell people a little bit about Tory Horton. Yeah, Tory
Horton can play. He had a ton of catches at
Colorado State. He could have gone up to the power
for last offseason. He turned down a whole bunch of
bags of money in Nile to stay at car out
of state, but he got injured halfway through the season,
and those two things in conjunction is why he ended
up falling down in the draft. He's on the skinny
side as well, but he's productive. He's a boundary receiver.

(26:12):
He gets off the line. Seattle their top two receivers,
as you guys know, are slot receivers or better in
this slot. Cooper Cupp should not be playing on the
boundary at this point period. So you know, as far
as boundary receivers, Horton is already one of the best
guys in their roster. At that They're going to play
a lot of two tight ends, but when they need
a boundary receiver out there, I agree, he could get

(26:33):
on the field real early.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
And then there's tight end Elijah Royal, who has gotten
a lot of attention to or give me just twenty
seconds on him if you would.

Speaker 9 (26:42):
I'm not good at standard twenty seconds, but Elijah Royo is.
He's a big athletic seam stretcher. That's what he's good
at is going downtown and then in the red zone.
He's not gonna block for you, but we don't really
care about that for fantasy purposes, all right.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
I like it, and real quick, the Seahawks actually kind
of consider a Barner to be their number one tight
end right now. That could change in time. Obviously this
is a high drafted and partner.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Is a blocking title. Maybe almost entirely.

Speaker 3 (27:06):
Yeah, that's coach talk.

Speaker 8 (27:08):
Draft Elijah Royo my sleeper last week, Thank me later
that he's gonna pay off big time.

Speaker 7 (27:13):
All right, Ken, I'm gonna let you take over.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Oh that's right.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
I had some bonus Seahawks stuff for you.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
They've got two thousand, seven hundred vacated air yards. Two thousand,
seven hundred. That is six hundred more than the next
closest team. That's how big the void is. The vacuum
is in Seattle. Somebody's gonna fill that. Maybe it's somebody
from your team.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
All right, got an elite quarterback and they've gott an
elite quarterback and saying goo uh Kent, take us through
vacated targets, right if you would.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
Yeah, we'll talk a little bit about running back targets,
but not too much. Most of the stuff we're gonna
be doing is looking at the rushing attempts that have
been lost and then who's gonna soak them up? So
first up, I'm going top debonm You went fed, Yeah,
I went inside out like that.

Speaker 7 (27:57):
But the Los Angeles Chargers lost JK.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
Dobbins Gus Edwards last year, who combined for three hundred
and eighty thre rush attempts in a handful of targets.
They signed Naji Harris to a one year, five point
three million fully guaranteed deal, which is actually the twenty
first highest running back in the league right now. Surprisingly,
and then they drafted obviously Omaron Hampton from you see
who twenty second overall forty two hundred scrimage yards forty
total touchdowns the last three years with unc very explosive.

Speaker 7 (28:22):
He's going to soak up a majority of this.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
And you know, obviously the stuff that's going on with
Naji Harrison, his eye is a is a mystery to
all of us right now. But the only thing that
could bail him out is if you hit the button
there charge Zivy shows I like that, and then he
might take the job on vibes alone. But this is
mostly gonna be a Marion Hampton, the rookie coming in
taking all those touches up at number two the Pittsburgh Steelers.

(28:45):
They lost Najia Harris, So we'll go ahead and flip
the script there. Two hundred and seventy one rush attempts
forty eight targets. This is when that's a little more confusing.
You know, Jalen warns the incumbent here, but he's not
really your full three down back type of guy. Caleb
Johnson comes comes in as more of a thumper. And
then they have Kenneth Gainwell, who they sign as well,
who's probably gonna soak up some of those targets as well.

(29:05):
So it's gonna limit the upside of any of these
three options. My personal choice is that Jalen Warren is
going to be the beneficiary early in the season, and
then Caleb Johnson down the stretch. If Rogers can carry
this Steelers offense, could garner some touchdown potential down the road.

Speaker 5 (29:20):
All right.

Speaker 7 (29:21):
Number three team the Dallas Cowboys. They lost. Excuse me.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
They have two hundred and thirty eight rush attempts and
fifty one targets that were vacated last year from Rico
Dadell and somehow Ezekiel Elliott those opportunities. I erased that
from my memory personally. But they signed Gravatu Williams to
a three million dollar deal one year pretty much nothing.
He had terrible metrics last year, second worst rushing over expectation,
fourth worst success right third worst yards after contact per attempt.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
He's washed.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
I don't think he's gonna be the guy who's soaking
up a lot of this potential. They signed Miles Sanders,
who apparently looks even better than him at camp, which is.

Speaker 7 (29:57):
Not a high bar to the pass.

Speaker 4 (29:58):
But they drafted jay On Blue out Texas in the
fifth round, who was looking promising, but now he's got
an ankle bruise.

Speaker 7 (30:03):
So my my answer to who benefits from this situation
is woolf.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
Everybody who avoids the Cowboys benefits.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
I have a feeling that Javonte is probably gonna be
like a flex consideration most weeks with low floor until
Jaydon Blue gets healthy and then maybe his talent causes
him to break out, but that's a long shot at
this point.

Speaker 8 (30:21):
I think Miles Sanders is an easy click at his
price tag, He's you take the cheapest running back in
this situation.

Speaker 7 (30:28):
It's an inning click. It's less easy of a production.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
Well, I mean, he's your RB like five, but he's
a good depth, depth choice in my opinion.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
All Right, the team with the fourth most vacated touches.

Speaker 7 (30:40):
Uh yeah, number four.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
This is the Las Vegas Raiders on hundred ninetynine rush
attemps ninety four targets, So it's actually kind of nice
to see that there's some target potential there which has
more fantasy value. Their departures were Alexander Madison and a
mirror Abdulah, which, again, how did they combine for that
many touches on the Raiders last year? But obviously the
beneficiary here is Ashton Genty, the awesome rookie who's coming in.

Speaker 7 (31:00):
Yes, even with his negative.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
Point three yards per carry in the preseason game just
last week, he's awesome. He's gonna be coming in and
crushing right away. I'm not at all worried about what
he did in that preseason game.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
All right, And our final team is the Denver Broncos
with the fifth most vacated targets.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Yeah, and this one again is a little bit tougher.
Is right down the middle between these two guys. For
the most part, we have one hundred and forty five
rush attempts seventy targets. The departure here that caused all
that was Javonte Williams, which we just talked about how
horrible he was. I think both these guys are gonna
have an opportunity to be better than him, and which
one is going to be is the question. I'm going
to hang my hat on JK. Dobbins though. Actually, even

(31:42):
though RJ. Harvey out of UCF had forty five hundred
scrimmage arge forty seven total touchdowns last three years, he's
twenty four years old. He was a quarterback convert from
Virginia Transfer Portal ACL tear in twenty twenty one. He's
kind of had a rocky road in his college career
and JK. Dobbins started last year pretty strong and trailed
down a stretch, but he's still got some pretty good
efficiency metrics. And I think that Sean Payton's rookie treatment

(32:06):
is going to hold back R. J. Harvey a little
bit early in the season. So I'm going with JK.
Dobmonds here for the most part.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
All right, Coming up next after the break, we will
look at the perfect start. Where in the first round
do you want to go? We'll show you the players
who go in the first four rounds from all the
different parts of the first round, the beginning, the early middle,
the middle, the late middle, the end, and you can
help us decide and ultimately vote for who where in

(32:33):
the first round is the best place to draft from.
Coming up next on Fantasy Football Weekly Live from Treasure.

Speaker 7 (32:40):
Island Resorting, Casino.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
Welcome back to Fantasy Football Weekly Live from Treasure Island
Resort in Casino. Yes, segment number three. This is called
the Perfect Start. One of the questions we get asked
all the time is where would you like to draft
in the first round? Where do you want to be? Well,
it's a little bit subjective. Depends a lot on who
you like where you want to be. I've got my

(33:24):
preference with I'll talk about a little bit later. But
what we're going to do to try to help you
make up your own mind is we're going to show
you by average draft position which players typically go at
the beginning, the early middle, the middle, the late middle,
and the end of the first round.

Speaker 7 (33:40):
And then you can make your own you can make
your own call on it.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Each of the host has been assigned a draft position
we're going to do with this four round mock draft,
and at the end you can tell us where you'll
be able to vote by applause and tell us where
you'd like to draft. So Matt, you are first. You've
got pick number one, I've got got four, Brian's got seven,
Kent has picked ten, and Thor has picked twelve.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
Yeah, course Mad got pick number one. Well, I mean,
who set this up again?

Speaker 7 (34:08):
I set this segment up?

Speaker 2 (34:10):
So yeah, yeah, when you make the slides, it gets
to go that way.

Speaker 7 (34:14):
You get to do whatever you want when you make
it up. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (34:16):
So shaking, Garrett Wilson, I wish pick number one. Your
realistic choice is a pick number one.

Speaker 7 (34:25):
Right now?

Speaker 6 (34:25):
Are Jamar Chase, Bjeon Robinson, and Saquon Barkley.

Speaker 7 (34:29):
Who would you take?

Speaker 6 (34:29):
I'm gonna take Jamar Chase. The running backs are intriguing here,
but it feels like I know exactly what I'm getting
from Chase. Eleven or more PPR points in sixteen of
seventeen games last year and top twenty and nine of
those games. That's nine times. Robbie plus Cincy's defense is
pretty bad, so they're gonna be throwing a lot.

Speaker 7 (34:48):
So I'm gonna go with Jamar Chase in the first round.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
There we go, Thank you, Robbie.

Speaker 7 (34:54):
Oh your next charge?

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Oh we're doing I thought we were going all your pick.

Speaker 7 (34:58):
No, no, no, not you okay, right right.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
I've got picked four in the first round, which this
makes sense because how a draft usually goes.

Speaker 5 (35:05):
Yeah, I have it.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
With picked four, I could have justin Jefferson, Jamior Gibbs,
or Cedee Lamb.

Speaker 7 (35:10):
Now some of you may have heard of something.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
I call do the opposite, so you know Jamar Gibbs
is out. I'm not putting the number four pick into
a running back. It's just the position so frail, it's
so fraught with danger. These are the guys who fail
all the time. And I love Jamiir gibbson at some
point i'd probably take him, but not pick four, Ceedee Lamb.
Don't the Cowboys just have the stench of death on them.
And granted, they're gonna behind a lot and their running

(35:35):
game is gonna be awful, and there's a temptation to
go with that terrible running game, they're gonna have to
pass all the time. But defenses then don't also have
to respect the running game. Things that are bad for
the offense don't help anybody. I don't think I think
this is going to be an underperforming team and offense.
So with pick number four, I would choose Justin Jefferson,
but in your mind, you can choose whoever you would like.

(35:56):
Let's go to pick seven, Brian, who would you take
out of Derreck Henry, Aman Ross Saint Brown, and Ashton Genty.

Speaker 8 (36:03):
That was a total homer pick, by the way, charge
But anyway, with this pick, I gotta go Ashon Genty.
I like i'man Ross Aint Brown, I like some other
wide receivers more than Derreck Henry.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
But I'm not gonna.

Speaker 8 (36:14):
Play Sophie's choice with the receivers. I'll hope some come
back to me in the second round. I'm going with
gent The bell cow is a dying breed. But you
know this is something I can feel it in my plums.
You know he's gonna get that usage. We've seen the rookies.
We've seen like it's been Genty, Bijon, Saquan. Those have

(36:35):
been the most hyped rookies in the last ten twelve years.
Saquan hit Bijon didn't. Gent Will behind a much improved offense.
Would have been more improved if they went after Sam
Darnold instead of Geno Smith. But uh, just give me
the He's gonna get twenty five opportunities a game that's
carries and targets minimum.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
If he doesn't, we riot taking genty.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
If Dereck Henry could catch, this would be a different conversation, right,
I mean, GENTI could be sitting on a sixty seventy
catch season is possible, and that changes things for most
of us that get a point per reception or some
part of it.

Speaker 7 (37:10):
Pick number ten.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
As we go down the first round, kent between Puka Akua,
Christian McCaffrey, and Malik Neighbors.

Speaker 5 (37:16):
Who would you take?

Speaker 4 (37:17):
Yeah, honestly, both of these wide receiver choices are really awesome,
but I gotta go with Christian McCaffrey here. You are
avoiding the danger. I lean into it. You gotta risk
it to win the biscuit. San Francisco has the easiest
strength of schedule this year per Sharp Football Analysis. Kyle
shanahand said he's looking really healthy in camps and he
ran twenty five miles an hour.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
That was it's a lot. That is not true.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
The fastest speed of recording games like twenty three. Kyle
Shanahan is a stone cold liar. He's full of it,
but honestly, I've seen clips he's he's looking fresh out there.
It's really bet on health, and honestly, at the tenth spot,
you're getting the first overall guy if he stays healthy all.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
Right, and at the end of the first round and
beginning of the second round, picks twelve and thirteen Thur
these are the players that you have to choose, and
you get to pick two because you're at the turn.
Nico Collins, Devon ah Chan, Brian Thomas, brock Bauers, what
are you doing.

Speaker 9 (38:06):
I'm gonna take Nico Collins and Brian Thomas Junior with
Odd Chane. I'm a little bit concerned about injury. To
be honest, you have a tiny back who had almost
three hundred touches last year. The Dolphins can't help themselves anymore.
They don't have offensive firepower, so they were over using
a change last year. We know you have to cut
down on his touches to keep them healthy, and three

(38:28):
hundred touches. You look back historically, that has always been
the threshold where it accelerates the.

Speaker 5 (38:32):
Injury risk the next year. So I don't want him
at his cost.

Speaker 9 (38:36):
Brock Bauers, He's going to see fewer manufactured touches this
year now, that they have a competent quarterback, and the
Raiders have also added more weapons. Two guys I want,
Nico Collins and Brian Thomas Junior. Nico high floor and
high ceiling. Of course, he missed five games last year
with the hamstring injury, but he finished wide receiver rate
and fantasy points per game the first three weeks when
he was healthy and both Tank Dell and Stefan Diggs

(38:58):
were on the field, averaging those games one hundred and
twelve point seven receiving yards per game. If he had
kept that pace for the whole year, he finishes his
wide receiver three.

Speaker 5 (39:07):
He's healthy. Now Texans are back to full strength.

Speaker 9 (39:09):
They hope that they've their the offensive line, that they've
improved that wall out to see without Tunsil. But and
then Brian Thomas Junior finishes wide receiver eleven in fantasy
last year, but was wide receiver two in weeks thirteen
to eighteen. Now you have Liam Cohen coming in, very
good offensive play caller. Obviously, Trevor Lawrence back healthy, and
now you have Travis Hunter around, so you can't just

(39:30):
double team Brian Thomas on every play.

Speaker 2 (39:33):
All right, let's go farther down the second round back
to Kent. You're at pick fifteen. Do you want a
J Brown or Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
Yeah, with my running back in places, I'm gonna go
ahead and take AJ Brown. He was the second highest
graded receiver per PREFF last year, a wide receiver twelve
in points per game. Even though he had a hamstring
injury that kind of nagged him for most of the season,
He's still performed when he was on the field. Last
year the Eagles and Jalen Hurts threw the ball just
three hundred and sixty one times.

Speaker 7 (39:57):
Hurts three year average prior to that was five hundred
and seven.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
And I think we're gonna see some regression back to
the mean there, and we're gonna see more pass attempts.

Speaker 7 (40:05):
And that's going to AJ Brown.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
All right.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
And that photo it suggests that he's ready to see
the dentist Brian Johnson. We're picka eighteen for you second round.
Do you want Drake London or Bucky Irving? And this
is an obvious one that you're going to get totally wrong.

Speaker 8 (40:23):
I might appease you on this one charge. I said
I was hoping for a receiver to come back in
the second. Drake London isn't one of them.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
He had a incredible close.

Speaker 8 (40:31):
To the season last year, but that was partially because
Darnell Mooney was injured. Yeah, and Darnell Mooney is injured
to start the season. He might miss weak one. But anyway,
I'm going Bucky Irving. Yeah, maybe going in the first round.
I'm not doing this just to suck up charge with
Bucky Irving.

Speaker 7 (40:47):
This is nuts.

Speaker 8 (40:48):
Averaged nearly twenty PPR points per game last season. In
the eight games he saw at least forty five percent
of the snaps YEP. Basically the second half of the
season and his final four games he only saw sixty
three percent of the snaps, but he did handle seventy
two percent of the rush attempts one hundred percent of
the rush attempts inside the five. Only fourteen percent of

(41:09):
his carries failed to net positive yardage all season. That
was the fourth best clip in the league. The word
is the Bucks wanted to work Bucky into the passing
game more before Rashad White got hurt. I know you
all about Bucky Irving. I'm taking Bucky Irving over Drake
quin call ten out of ten times, all right?

Speaker 3 (41:26):
I was.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
I didn't believe in you, but you've restored my faith.
It only talk what how many years back to me?
Jonathan Taylor Josh Allen at pick number twenty one. I've
already got Justin Jefferson. My problem with Jonathan Taylors doesn't catch.
And at the end of the day, I'd prefer my
running backs who can help me out and get that
solid floor that catching three and four and five passes
a game will do.

Speaker 5 (41:46):
Jonathan Taylor won't do that.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Instead, I'll take Jonathan Allen or Josh Allen, the last
year's highest scoring quarterback. If I'm going to invest in
a quarterback, it's gonna be one of the four great
rushing quarterbacks. Otherwise I'm gonna slough that position quite a ways.
But I'm happy to take one of those four. I'll
take Josh Allen. Here, Matt, you're back to the had
you had the very first overall pick and you took
Jamar Chase.

Speaker 7 (42:06):
Now we're coming back.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
You got two choices between Lamar Jackson, Lad McConkie, Kyron Williams,
and Trey McBride.

Speaker 6 (42:13):
Well, you can make an argument after taking Jamar Chase
in the first that I got the best wide receiver.
Now I'm gonna take the best quarterback in the draft
and maybe the best tight end in the draft. With
Lamar Jackson and Trey McBride. I just did the opposite
better than you charge.

Speaker 7 (42:26):
You did.

Speaker 5 (42:27):
Nicely done. I love that.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
And Trey McBride here is a steal. Yeah, good heavens
all right. Now we're into the third round. At this point,
I have a choice being Chase Brown and Jackson Smith
and jaball. You've got cheat sheets in front of you.
You can see rankings. I like Chase Brown more than anybody,
I think any expert in the country. I've got him

(42:50):
as my running back five. I believe the second half
of last year, when they started throwing to Chase Brown,
he was the fifth best PPR back, ranked number two
in utilization, and he's on a great offense. He gets
all of the work, he gets goal line work. There
is nothing not to love about Chase Brown. Love Jackson
Smith and Jigbito. But I have a choice between the

(43:12):
starting running back on the Bengals or a guy who's
kind of log jammed with Chase Brown and has got
Sam Donald throwing him the ball. And with that we
go to pick twenty nine and Brian Johnson, Tyreek Hill
or Jaden Daniels.

Speaker 8 (43:30):
We'll make you eat those words later, CHARGI, You've eaten
a lot of words in the past. I went running back,
running back. I won't be touching running back for a
long time. Quarterback is way too deep. I can get
donald later. So I'm going Tyreek Hill shooting for the
moon twenty twenty three, historic pace cut short by injury.
People were taking him first overall last year.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
It was a disaster. This is a boomer Bus play.

Speaker 8 (43:53):
But in the third round, I'll take my chances with
Tyreek as my wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
One.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
Okay, staying in the third Kent, we are now what
are you middle? Late third round, Let's see what you
do A pick thirty four between Breece Hall and T Higgins.
I already outlined my concerns with the Jets offense, but
maybe you feel a little bit better about Breece Hall
is a work course back.

Speaker 7 (44:13):
No, I'm not interested.

Speaker 4 (44:14):
In fact, he's still got Braylan Allen and Isaiah Davis
both nipping at his heels in terms of efficiency, I'm
going with T Higgins here. In the final seven weeks
of the season, he and Jamar Chase both had seven
touchdowns one per week, and he was averaging nine targets
eighty one yards, and he was wide receiver six during
that period.

Speaker 5 (44:33):
Nine times, nine times.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
Thor we are back to your final two selections. As
we're in the end of the third beginning of the
fourth round. You have two choices among James Cook, Garrett Wilson,
George Kittle, and Omarion Hampton.

Speaker 9 (44:47):
I'm gonna take James Cook and o'mariy and Hampton. I
have no interest in Garrett Wilson. That offense is a joke.
George Kittle. How you really feel, George Kittle. It doesn't
have anything to do with not liking Kittle's game. But
I think I can get sleeper tight ends later too.
In particular, I think we're going to talk about him
a little bit later on. But I don't want to
take a tight end early this year because of that.
James Cook last year eighteen touchdowns, thirty two catches, two

(45:11):
hundred plus carries, twelve hundred and sixty seven scrimmage yards.
Why would any of that change. They haven't added anyone
to that decrepit pass catching course that they have. It's
going to be the exact same offense. They might even
give Cook more touches this year. And then as far
as Omari and Hampton simply put, he is Jim Harbaugh's
what dream. That's the bout that Jim Harbaugh has always

(45:31):
wanted to have on his roster, a big hammerback.

Speaker 5 (45:34):
You can just give him the ball, give them the ball,
give him the ball.

Speaker 9 (45:37):
He's going to touch the ball two hundred and fifty
to three hundred times this year.

Speaker 5 (45:40):
Now, Harbaugh just was no.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
It was Greg Roman this week came out and said,
you know we've got we're gonna have multiple backs and everything.

Speaker 5 (45:48):
But you know what, Oh no, they wanted it so much.
It's gonna be Omariy and Hampton.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
I think I'm with you on that, Kent. You have
picked thirty nine.

Speaker 4 (45:55):
Yeah, I'll make this quick since I already kind of
lead on my case for Alvi Kamara even though you
guys didn't support me in that.

Speaker 7 (45:59):
So okay, I'm gonna put my money where my mouth is.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
And in the early and the fourth I think is
a solid RB two he's gonna probine with PPR Valley.

Speaker 5 (46:07):
Okay, Brian, you've got a choice to Terry McLaurin, Joe Burrow,
and Kenneth Walker.

Speaker 8 (46:11):
In the fourth round, I'm going Terry McLaurin. Last year
was wide receiver thirty. Around this time, I said he'd
finished top ten wide receiver on this very stage he did.
You're welcome now getting drafted outside the top twenty just
because of a contract.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
Dispute that will get settled.

Speaker 8 (46:25):
Easy pick for a guy that went running back, running
back first to Terry McLaurin.

Speaker 2 (46:29):
Okay, and I've got an option here in my fourth
round with Mike Evans Chewba Hubbard, Sam Laporta. You got
I think if you've listened to the show much, you
know I hate sloughing the tight end position. Give me
a good tight end and I can sleep nights. I'm
not rolling into my Sundays going, oh good Lord. I
hope I can get three catches from Cole Comet. You

(46:53):
know it's you can't live like that. How do people
survive that way? I gotta have a good tight end.
Sam Laporta is still in the reliable area, could get
even better in year number three. So I'm taking Sam
Laporta out of this group and Matt as our final
pick of the fourth round, and then.

Speaker 5 (47:10):
We'll turn it over to you studio audience.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
We'll let you decide which is the best place to
draft from. You've got a choice of DeVante Adams, James Connor,
and Rashid Rice.

Speaker 6 (47:20):
Well, I'm gonna I'm not gonna take the old wide
receiver with an injured quarterback or the young wide receiver
coming off in ACL and is going to get suspended.

Speaker 7 (47:29):
So I already did the best do the opposite draft.

Speaker 6 (47:33):
Ever, so it's probably time for me to take James Connor,
who's just super solid and gets me, you know, double
digit touchdowns just about every year.

Speaker 7 (47:42):
I'll take James Connor here.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
Yeah, keep thinking that every year's gonna be the last one.
James Connor, his metrics last year were as good as
any in his entire career. It looks like he's still
got gas in the tank, all right. So let's see
who had the perfect start in which draft position you
want to you want to come go through. So Matt,
run down, run down your selections from pick number one through.

Speaker 6 (48:05):
Four, and I I had picked number one overall. I
got Jamar Chase, Lamar Jackson, Trey McBride, and James Connor.

Speaker 5 (48:12):
If you love it, make some noise.

Speaker 7 (48:16):
It's a pretty good start. I'd say that's like a five.
I think people like the number one overall pick funny.

Speaker 5 (48:22):
Yeah, well that helps. Yeah, I had picked four.

Speaker 2 (48:24):
I went Justin Jefferson, Josh Allen, Chase Brown, Sam Laporta.

Speaker 7 (48:34):
They seem to also like like.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
Well, I think they like yours more, Okay, I think
that's like a four out of ten.

Speaker 7 (48:40):
Next was Brian Bryan.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
I undid the opposite retro Ashton gent Gent.

Speaker 8 (48:49):
Sorry, Bucky Irving RB one overall and if Tyreek and
Terry McLaurin returned to for him, this is over.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Make some noise, make some noise for this darnold guy.

Speaker 3 (48:59):
No, no likes me.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
That's drafting out of the out of the seventh spot.

Speaker 3 (49:03):
We'll see in January.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
Drafting out of the ten spot, Kent. Yeah, from the
ten spot.

Speaker 4 (49:07):
I had Christian McCaffrey, AJ Brown, T Higgins, and Alvin Kamara.

Speaker 3 (49:14):
Wow, they didn't like that even a smattering.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
If it weren't for that kid back there in the
Jaguars uniform, you'd had nothing.

Speaker 6 (49:22):
That's a Dolphins. That's it, Yeah, Dolphins, Dolphins, Tyre.

Speaker 2 (49:26):
Sorry, And then out of the twelve spot, Thor.

Speaker 9 (49:31):
Nystrom, your team Brian Thomas, Nico Collins, James Cook and
Omarion Hampton.

Speaker 5 (49:38):
All right, well, I think that's our winner.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
I think people like drafting out of that twelve spot
and they like your execution.

Speaker 5 (49:45):
Thor, Well done, bore Man.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
We encourage you to try a guillotine league. I've heard
good things. You can play three different ways. You can
play for free in a public league, you can play
for with your friends in a free private league, or
you can play for cash and prizes at leagues dot com.
Lots of way to ways to play. You know how
this format works. Just don't be the lowest scoring team

(50:07):
in any given week.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
You can win the whole thing.

Speaker 7 (50:09):
Finishing second to.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Last the chop team's roster goes to the waiver Wire.
Tons of fun beteen leagues dot Com to find out more.
Our number two, including the reach Around. Coming up next

(50:43):
Welcome Back Fantasy Football Weekly, a live in person edition
at Treasure Island Resort and Casino. Our number two. We
only do this segment once a year. It is always
right here in front of a live audience. It is
called the reach Around. The concept of the reach around

(51:04):
is a firm yet loving grip on your fantasy draft
as we identify players that we would take one full
round ahead of where they traditionally go. So these are
second round players that we would take in the first round.
We will go through ten rounds of the reach around,

(51:26):
spread across two different segments, and tell you the players
that we love so much we would reach a full
round in advance to get We begin with round number two.
These are players that we would take in round number one.
We're going to start at the end of the table
at least initially, and work our way this way.

Speaker 7 (51:47):
Brian Johnson will let you go first.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
Who would you take in Which round two player would
you take in round number one?

Speaker 8 (51:54):
Well, I said, I love Bucky, I don't love Drake,
but uh Man, rock Back, Hours and Trey McBride are
gonna be major differentiators at tight end this year, and
I gotta go with Brock. One hundred and fifty three
targets last year. That's fifth among wide receivers, one hundred
and twelve catches, third among wide receivers. One and ninety

(52:18):
four yards that was eighth among wide receivers. The same
exact amount of receiving yards as CD Lamb, the Raiders
offense is vastly improved. Brock Bowers is going to sun
Rob Gronkowski's prime. I like this guy is legit to
think his ADP plummeted last year because of like one

(52:38):
picture where he was just kind of looking a little.

Speaker 5 (52:41):
Yeah doofy next to Gronk.

Speaker 3 (52:43):
Yeah, but we all bricked that one. Man.

Speaker 8 (52:46):
I'm keeping I got Brock in the twelfth round last year.
That's crazy, Like he fell that far from a picture
and all right, must have been a bad pod Kent.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
Who is your round two player you would take in
round one?

Speaker 4 (52:59):
Yeah, I'm gonna go Nico Collins. He's just a focal
point receiver and there's just not many of those in
the league right now. With the Houston Texans, they have
the lack of a dynamic run game going on, Joe
Mixon's dealing with an injury. Nick Chubb doesn't look like
his former self. Everyone else behind them is just kind
of wishy washy. He's got two straight years above a
ninety PFF receiving grade.

Speaker 7 (53:17):
He's a solid dude. I would take him at the
end of the first.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
Rouel thor your round two player you would take in
round number one.

Speaker 9 (53:22):
Brian Thomas, you know, was just mentioning him, but wide
receiver two weeks thirteen to eighteen, and now the offense
is way way better. Now you can double team them.
Now Trevor Lawrence back. Now you have Liam Collin there.
Love Brian Thomas.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
This year, I'm going Bucky Irving. You guys know I
love him. I've said this before and it sounds like
one of these preseason hot takes. I think Bucky Irving
is the most talented running back in the NFL. Here's
the metrics to back up this audacious statement. Yards after
contact last year number one in the league, avoided tackle rate,

(53:56):
third best, yards per carry, fourth best at five even
a half yards per carry, third down conversion rate. Bucky
Irving number one last year. Rushing yards over expectation third
best PFF. Receiving grade among running backs second best. Bucky
Irving is sitting on a monster season. A little bit

(54:18):
nervous that there's no left tackle Tristan Wurf's at the
start of the season, But that's just the start of
the season. This Roghiotine league would be a different story. Regular
leagues love Bucky Irving, and I would take him in
the first round. Matt, you want to wrap up our
round two players we would take in round one?

Speaker 6 (54:35):
Yeah, I got Brock Bauers as well. I just think
he might be the best tight end maybe ever.

Speaker 3 (54:42):
Dan Arnold.

Speaker 7 (54:44):
Yeah, better than Dan Arnold.

Speaker 3 (54:45):
I have to.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Agree that is not impossible. All Right, it is round three?
Which of these round three players would you take in
round two? This time we begin with Kent. Will work
our way down the table here, Kent, who would you take?

Speaker 7 (54:57):
Well?

Speaker 4 (54:57):
I share your love for Chase Brown, and I think
the benk are gonna score a gazillion points this year.
Six of his seven rushing touchdowns last year were between
the tackles and against eight men in the box, So
there's still rushing touchdown juice to be squeezed.

Speaker 7 (55:10):
And I think he's going to explode this year.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
All right, notable juice squeezer Chase Brown in the reach around.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
Funny how that worked out?

Speaker 6 (55:19):
Four?

Speaker 7 (55:20):
What's the round three player you're taken?

Speaker 5 (55:22):
Round two? I'm going with James Cook.

Speaker 9 (55:24):
I just I can't believe how bad the pass catching
core is with Buffalo, and I can't believe they didn't
seriously address it. But yeah, that just means a ton
more usage for James Cook coming this year that the
role is safe. He both catches the ball and they
give him a bunch as a runner. So I'm gonna
go with James Cook.

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Okay, I've already told you how much I love Chase Brown,
so I am choosing Chase Brown.

Speaker 7 (55:45):
Here.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
We just talked about Matt your round three player that
you'd taken round two.

Speaker 6 (55:49):
I'm gonna say Kyron Williams here. He finished seventh amongst
running backs and PPR scoring last season. He scored sixteen
times last year. Wow, you know who scored fifteen times
last year? Saquon Barkley and Bijon Robinson going.

Speaker 5 (56:06):
In the first round.

Speaker 6 (56:06):
Yeah, I kyrone reaching from the third to the second.

Speaker 7 (56:11):
That seems like a no brainer.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
All right, Brian, you want to wrap up our reach
round in the third round?

Speaker 8 (56:16):
Two years ago, here, I touted Kyron Williams as a dude.
No one was drafting charge, and you, you mercilessly just
gave me crap and I wanted that is true. Now
I also got Kyron Williams. I think these stats are
even better than the ones match shared over the last
two years. Third in rushing yards, second in rushing touchdowns,
third in yards after contact, second in first down rushes

(56:38):
among all running backs. He can catch, he can block,
he can pass protect. He just got paid. He has
RB one potential. He's my first rookie ever draft was
Marshall fuck in nineteen ninety four. He has Marshall Fawk
type potential in this ram.

Speaker 3 (56:54):
Yes he does, stop it? Why not? Yes he does.

Speaker 8 (56:57):
I'll see you in January with that one too, Kyen, Willie,
Matt and I agree for once, right pick.

Speaker 2 (57:02):
I don't think it's a bad pick, but let's not
call him Eric Dickerson. That's that's a bit of a stretch,
I think, right there, Kirn Williams, all right, let's go
to the fourth round players that we would fourth round
players we would take in the third round, and this
time we start with Thor.

Speaker 9 (57:17):
I'm gonna go with O, Mariy and Hampton, and I
already already talked about him, so kick it's a charge.

Speaker 2 (57:21):
Oh all right, Well, I also had a Marion Hampton,
but I haven't given my bullet points yet, So Najee
Harris probably gonna be available sooner than later. But I
just think at some point the talent rises to the top.
We know that Harbaugh and Greg Roman love to run
the ball. Greg Roman, in his time as offensive coordinator
of the Ravens was ended up finishing with the fifth
most total running back carries. Back then it was a

(57:44):
lot of Gus Edwards and JK. Dobbins and says this
is They're gonna bring that whole running game back. I'm
I'm I'm excited for a Marion Hampton what he can bring.
The loss of left tackle Rashaan Slater does worry me,
and I did knock him down a couple of spots
on that. But that offensive line is still stacked.

Speaker 5 (58:01):
With first rounders.

Speaker 7 (58:02):
It's still going to be good.

Speaker 2 (58:04):
It's just not going to be maybe one of the
elite offensive lines. So I'm omari In Hampton here as
my reach around player in the fourth round, Matt, who
do you have?

Speaker 7 (58:13):
I'm probably a little off the board here. I'm taking
Kenneth Walker. I'm a big Kenneth Walker guy.

Speaker 6 (58:18):
This year, he's doing some body maintenance in camp and
not playing every practice and he did miss six games
last year, so his stock is kind of down and
it might drop below the fourth round.

Speaker 7 (58:28):
But in the eleven games he played.

Speaker 6 (58:30):
He finished with sixteen and a half PPR points per game,
which is within a point of Kyron Williams and James Cook.
Plus his offensive line looks a lot better, and they
changed toward a more run first coordinator this year. I
think Kenneth Walker is on a really big season this year.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
Okay, Brian, who is the fourth round player you would
reach around into the third.

Speaker 3 (58:52):
I like Kenneth Walker too. He looks great in that
Seahawks throwback.

Speaker 7 (58:55):
How can you not?

Speaker 3 (58:56):
Right?

Speaker 8 (58:56):
But I'm going with Mike Evans' safe play here despite
the age.

Speaker 3 (59:01):
Turns thirty two next week. But that's young to me.

Speaker 8 (59:04):
Topped one thousand yards in each of his eleven seasons
as a pro, did it.

Speaker 3 (59:09):
Twice in college.

Speaker 8 (59:10):
He probably scored or you know, racked up on a thousand
yards per game as a high schooler. It's a it's
an easy pick here, it's safe. Has never failed to
finish the season under thirteen point five yards per catch either,
totally insane, he still got gas in the tank.

Speaker 3 (59:28):
Safe pick Mike Evans for me?

Speaker 5 (59:30):
All right? And Ken?

Speaker 7 (59:31):
What was the fourth round player taking the third round?

Speaker 4 (59:33):
I'm gonna join man, take Ken of Walker, Dal just
had one stat here. He evaded sixty one tackles on
just one hundred and eighty attempts last year, which led
the league in forced miss tackles per attempt.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
Kenneth Walker's just great. I just I'm tired of the
soft tissue injuries, that's all. I think a lot of
us have been burned on that. I'm tired of those
two honestly my own.

Speaker 5 (59:50):
Yeah, I don't blame you.

Speaker 2 (59:51):
All Right, we're gonna go to the fifth round. Which
players would you take from the fifth round? In the
fourth round? And now I get to go first, and
it is Courtland Sutton. I love alpha receivers on their team. Guys,
I don't have to worry about another receiver taking a
bunch of targets away. That's Courtland Sutton on a vastly

(01:00:13):
improved Denver offense.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
After bo Nicks started cooking.

Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
In Week six of last year, Sutton averaged nine targets
nine times.

Speaker 10 (01:00:22):
Nine times, nine times, six catches per game, and from
that week six forward, he finished his wide receiver twelve
despite bo Nicks in his rookie season.

Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
What if bo Nix gets better as a sophomore. Courtland
Sutton's gonna be that much better. And who else is
gonna catch past it? De Von Vley Marvin Mims are
not the threats. He's a big, physical frame. He's an
end zone target. Only Mike Evans averaged more end zone
targets per game last year than Courtland Sutton. Wow, Matt

(01:00:55):
your reach around player, round number five.

Speaker 6 (01:00:57):
I'm gonna make this quick because I'm gonna gush about
him later in the show. Spoiler alert, it's Travion Henderson.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
M okay, that's that was really short. It was extremely short.
All right, Brian, which fifth round player? You're taking a
round four?

Speaker 8 (01:01:12):
I'm with the charge, Sutton. Way too cheap. I'll pile
on some good stuff. I'll make it quick. Third in
the league last year in explosive plays, behind Justin Jefferson
and Jamar Chase. He had career highs and catches yards,
receptions of fifteen plus yards and a career high and
contested catches. It's only going to get better for Sutton,
the true Alpha not getting treated as such.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Reach around on Courtland Sutton.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
All right, Ken your round five player, You're taken round four.

Speaker 4 (01:01:37):
I'm gonna go with Devona Smith for a lot of
the same reasons I talked about with aj Brown earlier.
He was wide receiver seventeen points per game. He was
working out of the slot for the most in his
career last year, in which case he was graded seventh
highest in the league last year and receiving.

Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
Great Okay and Thor's wrap up.

Speaker 9 (01:01:53):
Round five, I'm going with Trayvon Henderson. You know we
were talking earlier about how Devin Ouchain the Dolphins are
overusing him despite themselves, and how they're probably gonna run
him into the ground. Travon Henderson when he first went
to Ohio State, who was a five star recruit out
of Virginia, they gave him an enormous workload that first season,
put up enormous stats. Sophomore year they tried to do
it again. He got injured for most this season. Last

(01:02:16):
year they bring in quinnch On Junkins so they could
split the workload. That's where Travion Henderson could be most
effective because you're gonna guarantee you gonna be healthy. I
think the Patriots that are not gonna be able to
help themselves this year, I think they're gonna give him
a bell call usage, which you're good for fantasy players.
We'll we'll find out how long that ends up going.
But yeah, I think he's gonna overtake ramondre Stevenson totally.

Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
All right, Well, we'll be talking more about that subject
quite a bit later. We've got one more round of
our reach around to do. In this segment, it's which
round six players would you take? In round five, Matt,
you were up first.

Speaker 6 (01:02:47):
I got TJ. Hockinson here. People are writing him off
after missing most of last season with an ACL.

Speaker 7 (01:02:54):
He's fully healthy, and the last time we.

Speaker 6 (01:02:56):
Saw him fully healthy in twenty twenty three, he was
rocking Nick Mullins and Josh Dobbs as his quarterback and
had the second most PPR points per game amongst tight
ends point one point behind Travis Kelcey that year. He
was basically tight end one with Nick Mullins and Josh Dobbs.

Speaker 7 (01:03:17):
For the second half the year.

Speaker 6 (01:03:18):
Rookie quarterback, He's going to be the nookie. Addison gone
for three games. Hockinson's gonna have a big year, all.

Speaker 2 (01:03:24):
Right, DJ Hockinson, Brian your reach around player in round six?

Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
Do you just call him the nookie?

Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
The nookie, Yeah, nookie, So you can take that cookie.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
I did it all for the Nookie. Last week. I
said Calvin Ridley was going to be a top ten
wide receiver, so easily easy pick for me. Here.

Speaker 8 (01:03:41):
One of fourteen receivers with at least one hundred and
twenty targets in one thousand receiving yards last season with
Will Levis and Mason Rudolph at quarterback, cam Ward is
a big upgrade, even though he's a rookie. Ridley also
led all wide receivers in total air yards nearly nineteen hundred.
Only fifty six percent of those were catchable. That clip

(01:04:01):
was far below anyone below him on that air yard list.
Sky's kind of the limit for Ridley. He's a He's
an easy reach around for me, all right. Round six,
Ken your reach round player.

Speaker 4 (01:04:11):
In round six, I am joining Brian here with Calvin Ridley,
and I just tack on one thing. Cam Ward comeing
into the fold was the fifth highest pass grade on
twenty plus yard throws totaled over on thy yards and
twelve touchdowns last year. On deep attempts, Calvin Ridley's gonna
get a lot.

Speaker 7 (01:04:24):
Of those this year.

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Let's ethn go.

Speaker 5 (01:04:28):
Boy.

Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
The crowd really energized by that Brian.

Speaker 8 (01:04:31):
Yeah, he's not on the vikings, but you can still
get excited about him.

Speaker 7 (01:04:35):
Man, there's so many Titans fans here this fantasy.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
Football show, Remember all right, Thor, who is your round
six reach around player?

Speaker 5 (01:04:43):
TJ.

Speaker 9 (01:04:43):
Hawkinson been banging the drum for TJ. Howkinson for months now.

Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
TJ.

Speaker 9 (01:04:46):
Howkinson very his game reminiscent of Colson Loveland, who won
the twenty twenty three national title team for Michigan. JJ
McCarthy went to over and over and over again. JJ
McCarthy the best part of his game as a thrower
ten to nineteen yards down the field between the hashes.
That's the thing that Hawkinson's the best at. We have
already seen this this movie once before Michigan won the
national title. McCarthy to Loveland McCarthy going to be targeting

(01:05:10):
t J. Hawkinson over and over and over again.

Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
This year I also had TJ. Hockinson, So this will
go table.

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
TJ.

Speaker 7 (01:05:16):
Howkinson, Love, are you enjoying.

Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
The reach around? Would you like more reach around?

Speaker 6 (01:05:21):
That's a lot of guys who say they would like
more reach around.

Speaker 5 (01:05:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
When we come back, we'll do the next set of
five rounds of reach around players coming up next on
Fantasy Football Weekly Live from Treasure Island Resorting Casino.

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
Welcome back.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
It's Fantasy Football Weekly Live from Treasure Island Resort and Casino.
We've got a full studio audience. We get to do
this once a year and we absolutely love it. The
other thing we do one time a year is the
Reach Around. These are players we would take one round
earlier than when they would normally go. And we are
up to round number six. Who would you take in

(01:06:19):
the fifth round among these sixth round players?

Speaker 7 (01:06:23):
And we already we already did this round.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
We're going to round seven. I'm in big trouble.

Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Good We're good though, Well it's because you guys did
so badly in the last round. I thought i'd give
you a do over. Which of these round seven players
would you take in round six? Brian, let's start with you.

Speaker 8 (01:06:44):
I didn't think I was going to be liking the
Tennessee Titans as much as I do currently, But I
like this offense. I'm knowing it's not cam Ward, but
I like Tony Pollard. Here a steal in round seven.

Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Ty J.

Speaker 8 (01:06:56):
Spears is back up, unlikely to be ready week one.
In the four games Pollard played last year without spears,
one hundred and seventeen combo yards. He was on pace
for two thousand combo yards if you extrapolate that over
his career. Tony Pollard's yards after contact per carry starting
in twenty nineteen, number one, number five, number five, number one,

(01:07:17):
number sixteen, number six, and Dallas gave up on him.
So you know he's good. Tony Pollard should be going three.
I've reached multiple round double double barrel reach around.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
All right, Ken, which round seven player would you take
in round six?

Speaker 6 (01:07:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:07:40):
I'm gonna go with Mark Andrews here.

Speaker 4 (01:07:42):
He was in a frigging car crash last year, yesterday,
one year ago.

Speaker 5 (01:07:46):
I did not remember that, Yeah, dude.

Speaker 4 (01:07:48):
It affected him early in the season, the end of
the season on a really hot streak when he had
six straight games with a touchdown, and during that time
he out targeted Isaiah Likely in the red zone eight
to three. And recently Isaiah Likely had surgery on a
fractured foot. So I'm taking Mark Andrews. I think he's
gonna have a huge bounce back here.

Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
All right, Thor which round seven player would you take
in round six?

Speaker 9 (01:08:08):
I'm actually gonna go with Jordan Addison here. Now you're
gonna have to be confident that you can stream the
first three weeks, but you can play matchups for that.
Jordan Addison's developed really really good chemistry with McCarthy. Jordan
Mason very slippery route runner and he's very good at
those timing routes. You know, you can trust him to
be at the spot and to make the clean cut
turn around the balls there. McCarthy loves working with him

(01:08:30):
so far, so I'm super bullish on Addison.

Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
Jacoby Myers is my pick at FFW favorite. We love
Jacoby Myers and we identified him as a talent a
long time ago, and it's worked out great despite some
truly awful quarterbacking throughout much of his career. Myers last
year posted double digit PPR points in nine of the
last eleven games, and that was with the aid and
O'Connell and Gardner Minshew throwing him the ball. The Raiders

(01:08:55):
did draft a bunch of rookies. I don't think any
of them are gonna be factors anytime soon season, and
Gino Smith is the best passer Myers has had since
Tom Brady in New England. You know, Ashon Genti's there,
and brock Bowers is there. But things that help the
offense help everybody. It's more trips over the fifty, more
trips into the red zone, more scoring opportunities, and Jacoby

(01:09:18):
Myers is just super safe. I would take him one
round early. Matt, let's wrap up the seventh round with you.

Speaker 6 (01:09:24):
I think I'm gonna make some history here. And maybe
the correct answer is there is no player in this
round that you should reach around for, Like, no, look
at this, Oh, come on, growing one of these I
do not want.

Speaker 7 (01:09:37):
One of these guys is gonna outperform is eighty. I
don't want any of these guys in round seven. Why
would I reach for them in round six?

Speaker 6 (01:09:44):
No, I'm out Boom boom.

Speaker 7 (01:09:50):
I don't know if they're booing.

Speaker 5 (01:09:52):
There no better.

Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
Advice than not making a pick.

Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
Don't make a pick. I grew up in Minnesota.

Speaker 7 (01:09:59):
I did grow up in Minnesota. I learned from the best.
Mike Tice is the best.

Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Yes, the wrong joy The wrong answer in this round
is Chris Godwin. That's the guy you do not want
to take out of this round.

Speaker 7 (01:10:12):
There's a lot of wrong answers in this round, all.

Speaker 2 (01:10:14):
Right, let's go to the round eight players that you
would take in round seven.

Speaker 5 (01:10:17):
We begin with Kent.

Speaker 4 (01:10:18):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Ricky Piersoll on the forty
nine ers. In the final two weeks of last year,
he totaled eighteen targets, two hundred ten receiving yards, and
two touchdowns. Took a while to get going last year,
but really turned it on at the end this year.
Brandon Ayuk is missing a good chunk at the beginning
of the year. John jennings Is has a calf injury
and a contract issue and he wants a little bit
more money. Maybe that calf injury is money related, who knows,

(01:10:39):
But I think Ricky Piersol is gonna start off high.

Speaker 3 (01:10:42):
All right, Thor who.

Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
Is the round eight player you're gonna take in round seven?

Speaker 9 (01:10:46):
I'm also taking Ricky Piersol. Ricky Piersov was shot shot
by a gun.

Speaker 7 (01:10:50):
Last offseason, by a gun.

Speaker 5 (01:10:52):
By a gun. He had to come back for that.

Speaker 9 (01:10:55):
Like there's a reason that he didn't get going to
later on in the season. But like Kent was mentioning,
he was with targets the last couple of weeks, and
Deep deebo is also gone right, So so everything Ken
said and then Deebo is also out of there. Grant Cohne,
who's one of the forty nine ers top beat reporters.
He's been reporting over the last couple of weeks. Ricky
Pearsaw is the best receiver out here, is the most
explosive receiver out here. He is this team's wide receiver one.

(01:11:18):
There should be a bigger gap between Ricky Pearsaw and
Juwan Jennings in my opinion.

Speaker 7 (01:11:22):
Hey yeah, let's go peppered with targets and peppered with bullets.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Wow, wow, no, no charge, don't skip me.

Speaker 8 (01:11:32):
Just because I was gonna say everyone's favorite former Viking,
Stephan Diggs is who I'm reaching.

Speaker 7 (01:11:37):
Oh, that's who I'm going for too. Ill even got.

Speaker 3 (01:11:40):
Oh I thought you over there? My bad, We come
back to you, but no, go ahead, free to jump
over mat Go.

Speaker 7 (01:11:48):
Ahead, Brian, you got it.

Speaker 8 (01:11:50):
You love Diggs, Stephan Diggs the end that Wow, I
was missaking that, Stephan. Okay, we'll want to do a
step on Diggs wide receiver three right now. That's way
too cheap. That's the end, isn' you looks fine? Drake mays.
I'm sorry for.

Speaker 7 (01:12:08):
You're just eager to reach around man. That's allid Yeah,
we all.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
I am taking Cleveland tight end David and Joko, who's
got these cool zebra dreads.

Speaker 3 (01:12:19):
That's awesome.

Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
Look at him right there, lack one stripe charge, well
that got he needs multiple stripe It's of a zebra
right there.

Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
Last year, once they finally got rid of rid of
Deshaun Watson and Joko was great. He was tight end
six in PPR scoring, tight end four utilization rank, and
tight end one an end zone target percentage and for
in Joco. Remember, Joe Flacco's is probable starting quarterback unless
it turns out Shugar Sanders is so good that he

(01:12:49):
has earned the job, and then we'll be talking about
how rookies love their nookie tight end mad and we'll
give me to get back to that anyway. But a
reminder that Flacco was in Cleveland two years ago. Go
at the end of the year for those six magical games.
Here is what David and Joku averaged in those six
games with Joe Flacco nine targets nine times, six receptions

(01:13:15):
eighty one yards and point seven touchdowns per game. How
good is six receptions eighty one yards point seven touchdowns
per game. That would have made him tight end one
last year. That's David and Joku.

Speaker 7 (01:13:29):
All right, Yeah, you.

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
Can certainly applaud for any of my selections. Totally cool
if you're on board with that, Matt, who is your
pick in round eight?

Speaker 6 (01:13:40):
Surprise it's Stefan Diggs and and really my theme for
the next couple of rounds is going to be get
the wide receiver one with quarterbacks I like, and I
like Drake.

Speaker 7 (01:13:50):
May a lot, so we're gonna take Stefan Diggs.

Speaker 5 (01:13:53):
I'm with you on Drake May. I think you're sitting
out a great year. Brian.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
We would have normally gone to you right here, but
you know, step On, Yeah, that sounds.

Speaker 5 (01:14:00):
About it, right exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
Let's go to the round nine players we would take
in round eight, we begin this time with thor Oh.

Speaker 5 (01:14:07):
I'm going with Tyler Warren for sure.

Speaker 9 (01:14:08):
I don't want the early tight ends because I want
Tyler Warren wherever I can get him. Tyler Warren is
this year's brock Bowers. They got him because they don't
have other people give the ball to. They're gonna manufacture
all kinds of touches for Tyler Warren. Tyler Warren. Last
year at Penn State, they do ender rounds for him.
They'd have him in on gadget plays. As a former
quarterback from the State of Virginia, he transitioned to tight

(01:14:29):
end when he got on campus at Penn State. Took
him a couple of years to bulk up and everything
like that. But obviously last year he had the enormous
breakout season. They again manufacturer touched it within five yards
of line of scrimmage. They're gonna use him around the
goal line as a runner. I think Daniel Jones is
gonna be runner as a runner.

Speaker 5 (01:14:45):
Tyler Warren.

Speaker 9 (01:14:46):
Tyler Warren, Yeah, like the short yarded stuff. The reason
Tyler Warren wore forty four at Penn State is because
he and his dad grew up idolizing John Regans. And
if you watch that kid run, that's how he runs.
That's how They're going to try to manufact actually yards
this year in Indianapolis.

Speaker 5 (01:15:01):
So I'm gonna take Tyler Warren.

Speaker 9 (01:15:02):
Especially for PPR leagues, like he's gonna get over one
hundred targets this year.

Speaker 8 (01:15:06):
Tyler Warren, Wait, he plays quarterback, who he did, He's
probably the best quarterback on the Colts too, might be Actually,
I like that eligibility multi eligibility.

Speaker 5 (01:15:15):
More accurate than Anthony Richardson. Certainly.

Speaker 2 (01:15:17):
I don't hear everybody applauding for you.

Speaker 3 (01:15:21):
Oh okay, well there it is, all right.

Speaker 5 (01:15:23):
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
So the reason I picked Amika Agbuka is because you
talked me into him, for you loved him. And he's
got a wide open opportunity in Tampa because Chris Godwin's
gonna start on the pup list, he's gonna be I
think he's permanently lost his job to Amika Agbuka, who's
the most pro ready receiver in this rookie class. Hyper
productive for years at Ohio State. He ran eighty one

(01:15:45):
percent of his routes from the slot last year at
Ohio State. That's a four number I'm stealing from him,
and that puts him right into that Chris Godwin role
last year where Godwin was going berserk running from the
slot in this offense. I love Amikaa and I think
he's sitting on a really good season because you told
me so, Thor, and now you turn your back on him.

Speaker 7 (01:16:06):
He's super polished too.

Speaker 9 (01:16:07):
And by the way, Baker Mayfield you watch his offseason interviews,
Baker Mayfield's been going nuts about him a mech egg Buka.
You can tell, like when the guy's for real, when
the teammates are like, no, trust me, this guy's a stud.
Baker Mayfield's doing that with ag Buka.

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Yeah, they always say good things, but you can tell
when players go like way over the top. Ye, And
that's what we're getting here, all right, Matt, you're gonna
pick a guy this round or are we just gonna
kick back and say not applicable?

Speaker 6 (01:16:34):
Speaking of turning your back on people, you've turned your
back on Khalil.

Speaker 7 (01:16:39):
Shakir with me. I love fitting right here.

Speaker 6 (01:16:42):
Yes, Khalil Shakiir the number one wide receiver in Buffalo. Now,
granted they don't have a lot of great wide receivers
in Buffalo, but it's the Josh Allen offense.

Speaker 7 (01:16:50):
I'm gonna take that in the eighth round all day long.

Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
Absolutely, He's uh, we love Khalil shaki around here, Brian,
who is the ninth round player you're taking in the
eighth round?

Speaker 8 (01:16:59):
Seaking of turning your back, you turned around yesterday and
showed me your Jordan Mason tramp stamp on your.

Speaker 3 (01:17:04):
Back and you're not taking They're like, what's going on here?
All right?

Speaker 5 (01:17:07):
Technically I didn't have to turn around to show you that.

Speaker 6 (01:17:10):
Charge wants to do lots of reach rounds in the
In round eight here.

Speaker 8 (01:17:14):
I'm uh, I mean, I like Mason, but I'm gonna
go Quinn Shawn Judkins time to you know, reverse course,
he's not gonna face legal charges.

Speaker 3 (01:17:25):
He's the most talented running back on the Browns.

Speaker 8 (01:17:27):
It's gonna take him a little while to get rammed up,
but by week three or four he's gonna be getting
twenty opportunities a game.

Speaker 3 (01:17:34):
So I'm taking Judkins here, all.

Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
Right, Kent, and your round nine player, you're taking around eight.

Speaker 4 (01:17:38):
Well, I can't believe I'm gonna be the one to
take Jordan Mason here. I'm surprised more of you didn't
do it because he was third in rushing yards over
at temp over expectation for attempt last year, behind only
Barkley and Henry, which are two pretty good running backs.
And he's at a career five point three yards per
carry on two hundred and thirty six rushingttempts. If that
were a season, he'd be on a list of about
forty people, and most of them are Hall of famers.

Speaker 7 (01:17:58):
He's gonna be awesome next year.

Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
Let's go to round number ten. I think this is
I think I am up for this one.

Speaker 7 (01:18:07):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
I know Thor is not gonna like this selection, and
that's just fine. It's Ramandre Stevenson is the round ten
player I would reach four. In round nine, everybodys sign
about Trevion Henderson, and rightfully so. He looks fantastic. You
saw the hundred yard touchdown. You saw the one carry
he had where he zipped down the sidelines for eighteen yards,
the three catches, Henderson's gonna be good. Stevenson is going

(01:18:29):
to get a ton of work here in this offense,
and he's gonna be the inside between the tackles runner.
He's gonna get a lot of use. He's gonna get
goal line use. And here's the real clincher in this
thunder and lightning offense that I want you to remember
about Stevenson. Josh McDaniels, as an offensive coordinator or head
coach for eighteen years, has had a workhorse back in

(01:18:54):
one of them, and it was his first year in
an offense he inherited that had Steve even Jackson for
you old timers, and Stephen Jackson was already a star
war horse back. Since then, seventeen straight seasons as offensive
corner head coach, it's always been a split backfield, and
it's gonna be again here with Romandre Stevenson. All Right,

(01:19:16):
I didn't you with me on this? All right, I
don't think that I didn't sell it.

Speaker 8 (01:19:22):
Let's get a big round of booze one time charge.

Speaker 2 (01:19:27):
Yeah, just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean
it's wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
Welcome to the party, pal Matt.

Speaker 6 (01:19:35):
Uh, this is where I usually start taking quarterbacks and drafts,
and I think it's uh Ramondre Stevenson's teammate. It's Drake
May rushing upside. There's avenues to protect him now with
a with some good draft picks, they've invested in the
offensive line.

Speaker 7 (01:19:51):
The offense is way better offensive line.

Speaker 2 (01:19:53):
Speaking of which, Will Campbell we've only seen one preseason game.

Speaker 5 (01:19:56):
God was he good?

Speaker 7 (01:19:58):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
Don't read too much in but as good as Trayvon
Henderson was, Will Campbell might have been better.

Speaker 5 (01:20:04):
It was. He was awesome.

Speaker 6 (01:20:06):
The Patriots are a team that everybody in the country hates,
and they're going to make a big leap this year
because I've taken three of them in the reach around.

Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
Now, because you've taken yes, absolutely, all right, Brian, who's
your round ten reach around player.

Speaker 8 (01:20:20):
I'm not leaving the draft without Zach Sharbona right now.
Averaged over nineteen PPR points per game as a starter
last year. It was a small sample, only three games,
but that clip would have made him RB two on
the season in eight games in his career without Kenneth Walker,
who always seems dinged up with soft tissue issues, Charbone's
average over seventeen PPR points per game and yes, madd

(01:20:43):
had a great stack stat about Kenneth Walker leading the
league in avoided tackle rate last season.

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Zach Charbona was right behind him number three.

Speaker 8 (01:20:52):
He's the cheaper option for the Seahawks, who bolstered their
line over the offseason. They brought in Klint Kubiak, whose
own scheme buried running back friendly. Zach Sharbine is a
smash pick right now, reach around for.

Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
All right, Kett, you're a round ten player, you're taking
round nine. Yeah, I'm also gonna go with Drake Mayn
just to add to that a little bit. In games
where he played eighty plus percent of snaps. He was
pacing for six hundred and fifty three rushing yards on
the year. Quarterbacks that use their legs are just inherently
more valuable in fantasy and at the value. I'm just
loving it right now. Okay and Thor, I think you
were the last one for this round.

Speaker 9 (01:21:20):
Yeah, I'm gonna take the least sexy name on this list.
I'm gonna take Javonte Williams, who I would forward to
you is actually a sleeper this year. And the reason
why Miles Sanders stinks we all agree not usable anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:21:33):
And then the other thing. The Dallas Cowboys, in one
of the most loaded running.

Speaker 9 (01:21:36):
Back classes that I've draft classes I seen in the
last twenty years, managed to take two of the grenades.
Jada On Blue is not good. I see Jada Blue
hype out there. Jayda On Blue couldn't start for the
Texas Longhorns last year when they only had three scholarship
running backs on the roster all season that we're healthy.
He was immediately overtaken by Quintavius Weisner. Steve Starkeys, one

(01:21:57):
of the best play cars we had in college football,
did not want to use Jade on Blue and then
film Off is just a big plotter. They don't have
another competent running back. Javonte Williams barely qualifies, but he's
far better than the other three.

Speaker 5 (01:22:08):
Javonte Williams.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
All right, our final round of Reacher round players and guys.
We gotta go quickly on this round to keep ourselves
on time. We begin with Matt Harrison. Who is the
round eleven player you would take in round ten?

Speaker 6 (01:22:21):
It's JJ McCarthy. Sam Donald was a great fantasy player
last year. The Vikings obviously think that JJ McCarthy is
a better player than Sam Donald, or Sam Donald would
still be here in KOC we trust.

Speaker 2 (01:22:39):
And for rebuttal, we go to Brian Johnson.

Speaker 8 (01:22:43):
I sorry I made the round reason that was easily
the worst fantasy football take I'd ever heard of my
entire life.

Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
Worse than not picking a player. No holler at the
guy in the tank, bigspea Jersey over here. I think
he was here last year? Is Tank Bigsby? Yeah? Baby?

Speaker 8 (01:22:57):
Fifth and avoid to tackle rate last season? Heat Travis
etn back to lead back. It seems like that ain't true.

Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
It's Tank. It's a tank show, right.

Speaker 7 (01:23:05):
Church it's Tank Bigsby time.

Speaker 5 (01:23:07):
Yeah, it is Kent.

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Who's your round eleven player you're gonna take in round ten?

Speaker 7 (01:23:10):
I'm ready to be hurt again. It's Kyle Pitts. It's
the value.

Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
You're the guy. Oh no, I'm too good.

Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
You're the one that hasn't drafted him yet, so you
haven't been hurt yet.

Speaker 7 (01:23:21):
No, I have been hurt.

Speaker 4 (01:23:22):
But he's going seventy to eighty spots later than last year,
and he was tied fifth in deep targets. Last year,
Pennis had a deep rate of fifteen percent compared to
Cousins nine. So I'm just gonna see a little bit
more upside of Frome this year.

Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
All right, thor can we don't need to even spend
time on who you're selecting here, obviously, that's right, J Yes,
And that wraps up the reach around.

Speaker 3 (01:23:46):
Do you all feel satisfied?

Speaker 7 (01:23:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:23:49):
Whoa, They're way more satisfied than I anticipated.

Speaker 2 (01:23:56):
Wow, that's fantastic. The speaking fantastic. The Final Round the
final segment of this Fantasy Football Weekly, in which we'll
recap all of my wrong picks over the years. Coming
up next, including our sleepers and three tough Questions stay tuned.

Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
Welcome back, final segment of Fantasy Football Weekly Line.

Speaker 7 (01:24:35):
This has been an awesome crowd today.

Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
This has been a fantastic crowd, so much fun. In
this segment, we're gonna hit on our sleepers. We'll get
to as many tough questions as we can, and for
our sleepers, we begin with Brian Johnson.

Speaker 3 (01:24:48):
I want to pronounce it right.

Speaker 8 (01:24:49):
Uh again, I love the Titans more than I thought,
so I'm going with rookie wide receiver elick I Jomannor,
who was drafted in the fourth round.

Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
Has looked great in camp. Very good chance he wins.

Speaker 8 (01:25:01):
The opposite the starting job opposite Calvin Ridley. I don't
I'm not worried about Tyler Lockett. But one thing that
stood out to me other than his good size six
two two oh five bass Travis.

Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
Hunter in college.

Speaker 8 (01:25:14):
Yeah, thirteen catches, two hundred and ninety four yards and
three touchdowns. Wow for la ga Io Manor, Yes, draft
him a couple of round Thank me later.

Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
I'm with you on that all right. Kent your sleeper
of the week.

Speaker 7 (01:25:28):
Yeah, I talked about him earlier.

Speaker 4 (01:25:29):
Drake may is gonna be my sleeper here and so
the rushing upside is obviously there. He's got more weapons
around him this year, and it sounds like he's cleaned
up a lot of his accuracy and Aaron throw problems.
Last year he had sixteen turnover worthy plays, twelve of
which were early in the season. He only had four
from Week eleven down to the end of the season.
They have the second easiest strength of schedule.

Speaker 5 (01:25:49):
All right, Drake may I'm with you on that one.

Speaker 9 (01:25:52):
Four.

Speaker 7 (01:25:52):
Who is your sleeper this week?

Speaker 9 (01:25:54):
I'm going with Lions wide receiver Isaac Teslaw. He's too
talented to keep off the field. Tim Patrick, gonna be
keeping this kid off the field. You're gonna be starting
right away. Six foot four, two hundred and fourteen pounds,
ninety fifth percentile vertical, ninety fourth percentile broad rump, ninety
fifth percentile, shuttle and three cone eighty third percentile, ninety
ninth percentile.

Speaker 5 (01:26:14):
Size of justed athlete Isaac Tesla.

Speaker 9 (01:26:17):
He was caught in a bad situation at Arkansas, but
he can both get down the field and get off
the carpet and go and get the ball. And you
can also manufacture touches for him, which you're already starting
to see in the preseason.

Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
My sleeper this week is New Orleans tight end Juwan
Johnson as great option for your second tight end. Yeah,
you can, you can. You can feel free to cheer
that if you want. Just signed a three year, thirty
million dollar contract, because clearly the Saints believe that he
is going to be somebody that'll use.

Speaker 7 (01:26:42):
Taysom Hill will not play this year.

Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
Johnson's coming up career highs in targets, catches, and receiving yards,
and that depth chart in New Orleans gets real thin,
real fast. They got a lave, they got Shaheed, nobody else.
Young quarterbacks love to dump off to their tight ends.
Juwan Johnson I believe will be a ren lmatively safe
weekly starter.

Speaker 7 (01:27:02):
Matt, You're and our final sleeper of the week.

Speaker 6 (01:27:05):
I feel like it's the last possible moment to use
Traveon Henderson as a sleeper. As most diehard fantasy fans
have already figured this out, but for those of you
who haven't yet, he's a rookie, he plays for the Patriots,
and he's an absolute stud. He averaged seven point zero
yards per carry last season, including four point four yards
after contact, eleven yards per catch. He's a great pass blocker.

(01:27:30):
He holds onto the ball too, only two fumbles in
his whole college career, and he hasn't fumbled the ball
since twenty twenty two. This guy's gonna be awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
All right, there you go, five sleepers of the week.
You normally only get three, but this week we get five.

Speaker 7 (01:27:46):
Let's go to.

Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
Up to three tough questions. I don't think we're gonna
have time for all three, but we'll start here.

Speaker 7 (01:27:53):
Tough, wait, tough question number one.

Speaker 3 (01:27:57):
One one one.

Speaker 2 (01:28:02):
What is the biggest mistake commissioners can fix at this
time of year in advance of your fantasy season?

Speaker 7 (01:28:10):
Kent, We're gonna begin with you for this one.

Speaker 4 (01:28:12):
Yeah, so maybe not a mistake but an improvement. If
you're drafted in front of a computer screen, that's fine,
that's fun. But planning in person draft it is world's better.
You get the banter, the jokes, you can make fun
of each other's picks.

Speaker 7 (01:28:25):
It's what we're here for. We're here live, Why not
draft live?

Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
Yeah, I'm flying to my drafts to be in person.
Absolutely true. Thor, what's the one thing commissioners can fix
at this time of year for me?

Speaker 5 (01:28:35):
It's clarifying league rules.

Speaker 9 (01:28:37):
You know, like it's the biggest pain in the butt
if you're the commissioner to like write out all the rules.
But it's the thing that avoids you know, people going
at each other and sit better on friendships end over there. Yeah, Like,
if you have clearly written out league rules, it saves
you a lot of headache.

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
Matt, What is the biggest mistake commissioners can fix at.

Speaker 5 (01:28:56):
This time of year?

Speaker 6 (01:28:57):
Change to an auction. It's so much much fun. No
one ever goes back if you're afraid to do it.
And that's why people don't do it, because there's three
or four people who are just afraid to do it.

Speaker 7 (01:29:07):
Here's what you do. Set up a dummy auction.

Speaker 6 (01:29:10):
Just set up a strange league with just your your
teams in your league, and say we're just gonna do
an auction. It's a fake league. Do it on sleep
or do it on Yahoo whatever, and they'll be hooked.
Everybody in twenty minutes will figure it out. They'll be hooked.
You'll never go back.

Speaker 2 (01:29:25):
I've always I've always said, just tell your tell your league.
If you've got you'll you'll have a couple of hesitant owners,
tell them we will try it one year, and if
we don't.

Speaker 5 (01:29:32):
Love it, we'll go back.

Speaker 7 (01:29:33):
Nobody goes, nobody goes.

Speaker 4 (01:29:34):
Nobody's gonna go, and we can combine our ideas to
get a real auctioneer up there.

Speaker 7 (01:29:38):
Yeah, wouldn't that be nice?

Speaker 5 (01:29:40):
Wouldn't that be nice?

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
The correct answer is what about Brian oh Brian, I'm sorry, Brian.

Speaker 7 (01:29:47):
Oh Man, You're gonna be in trouble now.

Speaker 5 (01:29:48):
Answer is, Sam Darnold.

Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
It is. It is that you should draft in super Flex.

Speaker 8 (01:29:54):
If you're not playing super Flex with your friends and family,
unless your league is sixteen teams or something, ditch the
one quarterback because that is a incredibly stale for it.

Speaker 7 (01:30:04):
I don't think we've got any wrong answers here, Church.

Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
There are no run answers, but it is not the
best answer all said, if you are awarding free agents
in any fashion other than free agent blind bidding, you
are doing it wrong. Is that is the only fair
way to award free agents is free agent blind bidding.

Speaker 7 (01:30:23):
I save that one.

Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
That is the best system. I don't know we yet
how much time we've got for tough question number two.

Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
Tough question numbers. We'll give me a.

Speaker 7 (01:30:35):
Try in auctions.

Speaker 2 (01:30:36):
Would you rather spend your dollars to create a roster
of stars and scrubs, expensive players and cheap players, or
a full roster of middle tier guys or we start
with you.

Speaker 5 (01:30:47):
I'm going for the ladder.

Speaker 9 (01:30:48):
Like I'm always the guy that will trade down in picks,
I want to accumulate more middle round picks.

Speaker 5 (01:30:53):
That it's the same philosophy with auctions.

Speaker 9 (01:30:55):
By it helps me to stream in the season, also
gives me more bullets to potentially run into someone. That
way all plays their adp So that's.

Speaker 7 (01:31:04):
What I do this week.

Speaker 6 (01:31:06):
Roster is sixteen players or fewer ghost stars and scrubs.
If it's seventeen or more, go middle tier guys.

Speaker 2 (01:31:14):
That's a very specific answer, and unfortunately we have run
out of time. I want to thank everybody. I know
it's a very abrupt ending, but this is just the
reality is. We're out of time. Thank you so much
for coming to Fantasy Football Weekly Live. This has been awesome.
Thank you Treasure Island for hosting this wonderful event. And
we will talk to you all next week for more
