Speaker 1 (00:01):
Time now for Fantasy Football Weekly from iHeartRadio, your weekly
source for the nation's best fantasy speculation and advice. Now
here's your host, Paul Jarge.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Welcome to Fantasy Football Weekly.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
I'm Paul Charchy, my co host today Scott Fish and
Matt Harrison.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Welcome back to the show. Guys, we missed you.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
It's good to be back. It's only about a couple
of weeks, but it's good to be back. I love
doing the show.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Yeah, it's nice to be here, and it's nice to
not have weird football this week, like a europe game.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
You're no kidding, no kidding on behalf of somebody who
has done pregame shows at five point thirty in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
I am really glad that.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
We do not have European football, but we've got it
coming down the pike, right. I think next week of
the week after, we've got a Euroball coming, so we'll
be back to talking about some of those early starts.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
And maybe we need a European correspondent.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
I know we have had a Spanish correspondent named Matteo
last year.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yes, that didn't join us, so we we'll have to
track down Mateo.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
You know, maybe Uh, maybe Mateo's out on bail at
this stage, and you know, we'll see we'll see what
his availability looks like coming up later on this show.
We'll give you nine players upon whom you can take
a chance. We'll answer three tough questions. Premature speculation has
got one of the best names in football, and we'll
break down all the games. It's the bipocalypse, so we've
got a couple of fewer games to get to than usual.
(01:33):
But we start here with the Bills taking on the Panthers.
Scott On paper, this feels like a slam dunk, but
the Panthers secondary has been sneaky good.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Can we start with the Bills passing game?
Speaker 5 (01:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
I think we're still starting Josh Allen with a gray.
The Panthers d has has allowed three scores teach of
the last three QBS they faced before that Jets mass
mess last year or last week the yards of down.
But they're still allowing a bunch of scores, and of
course the Jets didn't do much against them last week,
So an a grade on Josh Allen. Khalil Shaki is
(02:08):
the only one I would consider starting, but I do
have a bench grade on him. He's the most consistent producer,
but he never explodes. It's like sixty four yards, forty
five yards, forty five yards, thirty three yards, sixty yards.
You know it's they never explode. And as you prefaced,
Carolina is the fifth stingiest to opposing Fantasy wide receivers,
(02:29):
allowing the seventh fewest receptions, sixth fewest receiving yards, and
just four scores to receivers. Obviously with the quarterbacks that
they allow him to other positions, but yes, the secondary
is holding down, So I have Shakir and Keon Coleman
on the bench. Now, Dalton kin Kana is questionable. He
is likely to go. He of course missed a game
(02:50):
then had the bye week. He's been practicing limited all week,
but he's supposed to return this week. He's got a
top five tight end matchup the Panthers, allowing the ninth
most receptions and fourth most yards. Two tight ends also
bottom ten in scores allowed, much like the QB for
the Panthers. Tight ends have scored in three straight versus
(03:11):
the Panthers prior to that Jets game. So a good
spot for Dalton Kincaid, who I have a C grade
on if he does not go, I might be willing
to give a C grade to Khalil Shakir, bump him
up on that, but otherwise C grade for Kincaid, bench
grades for Shakir and Coleman. I have an A grade
on James Cook three. Hasn't scored or even caught a
(03:33):
pass in the last two games, but he still saw
fifty Yeah, it's very unlike him. Still saw fifteen plus carries.
He shouldn't have trouble finding that volume.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
Again.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
The Panthers allow the seventh most receptions to Bax to Bax,
so that should come back. They've been have been stingy
since that Week one a rushing yard explosion from Travis Etn.
Only Bijon Robinson topped fifty yards against the Panthers since
Week one. But between the volume, the extra passwork, and
the fact that he scores in almost every game these
(04:05):
last two games quite nonomenally, and the game script of
the Bills being famered by more than a touchdown, I'm
still gonna give Cook an a over to the Carolina side.
I have Andy Dalton on the bench. The Bills top
five pass d ranking, top five in attempts completions, and
yards allowed to quarterbacks. They allow the fourth fewest explosive plays.
(04:25):
Dalton played four full games last year. He did have
multiple scores in three of them and two hundred and
twenty plus yards in three of those as well, but
they were much easier matchups than this one. Here in
his past game, I'm still giving Tetrooe mcmill in the
A grade. The last two lead receivers against the Bills
had ten plus catches in one hundred and forty plus yards.
They've been torched by lead receivers this year, lead receivers
(04:49):
averaging one hundred and nine point two yards and point
six touchdowns against the Against the Buffalo Bills, Tetro gets
that level of volume. He averages over to eight targets
of games. So uh A grade on Tedoro McMillan. I
got a SE grade on Exavier Legett had a huge
game last week while TEDAROA McMillan was being shadowed by
(05:09):
Sas Gardner. He scored twice in the last three three games,
and he's led the team in red zone targets in
the last three games. Andy Dalton came in and targeted
him three times for thirty nine yards on the final
drive and last year when Dalton and Lagett were together
for five full games. Lagett scored in three of those
five games with Andy Dalton. Okay, I'm throwing a C
(05:32):
grade on Xavier Legett got Jatavian Sanders on the bench.
Don't need to talk about him. But for the running backs,
C grades for both of them based on last week.
It is just a fifty to fifty splatch. It's Chuber
got more snaps than raw. Chuber got more targets and catches.
Rico got more touches, but all of those were within one,
two three of each other.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
Like the it was.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
You could not get more of a split. Jon Robinson
went for two thirty eight in a score against this
team week Algier also had thirty eight in a score.
Eight Chan had ninety one. Olie Gordon had thirty eight
in a score. Against the Bills, Kamara had seventy two.
His teammate Kendre Miller had sixty five in a score.
There are multiple examples this year of two backs being
able to do it against the Bills, and with a
(06:16):
complete split here, I think they can both find their
way to ST grades.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
And probably only C grades and that's the yes, yea.
This frustrating Carolina backfield. Now it was it was great
for two weeks with Rico Daudo, and now we're looking
at guys that it might be a coin flip on
either one, potentially helping.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
Us on four.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
We have sixteams on by they get C grades, Yes,
they do get C grades. Here, Matt, the Giants take
on the Eagles, And for Jackson dark what I find
fascinating about this matchup. This is the first time that
he will play an opponent for the second time.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
And so the.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Eagles come in, They've already seen him once, right, They've
got film on him, They've got first hand knowledge of
how he works. And I wonder if if the Eagles
aren't able to shut down Jackson Dart in a way
that others have not to this point, let's hear what
you have to say.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
I don't know how you shut him down. He just
keeps putting up fantasy points. I'm giving him a B
grade if you combine rushing and passing scores. He's had
multiple touchdowns and all four of his starts he ran
for a touchdown. In three games, he's top fifty rushing
yards and three of his four. That includes the game
against the Eagles two weeks ago, which I'm going to
reference a few times in this matchup. He ran for
fifty eight yards in a score in that one and
(07:29):
added one to ninety five and one through the air.
So B grade for Dart. Wandale Robinson is Dart's go
to guy. Target totals of seven to seven and twelve
in the last three weeks, six catches eighty four and
a score in the Week six meeting with the Eagles,
six for ninety five last week against Denver, which is
actually really impressive. This has allowed these sixth most wide
(07:50):
receiver receptions and the fourth most yards to the position,
and Wandale was one of only four wide receivers to
score a touchdown against them this year. So should be
a high vardage total and I think Wandale can do it.
Worth noting Darius Slayton has been limited all week with
a hamstring injury. I got a B grade on Wandale.
Theo Johnson scored last week, but only caught three of
(08:10):
his seven targets.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
I think I'd leave him on the bench this week.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
Is Philly's defense versus the tight end has been stellar
all year, only Evan Ingram scored a touchdown on the
Eagles and only Travis Kelcey has topped forty four yards
against them, So that's pretty tough. Cam Scatibo is and
the running game is what I'll reference next here. He's
the running back everybody wants to play, and I'm still
gonna give him a B start in this one, mostly
(08:35):
off of his one hundred and ten combo yards and
three scores against the Eagles two weeks ago. However, Tyrone
Tracy's health meter continues to grow, and in his first
game back in Week six against Philly, he only saw
four touches. Last week he had nine carries, forty six
yards and a touchdown, and Scatabo saw a slight decrease
in touches last week, and I think this still turns
(08:58):
into more of a time split than people want, so
Tyrone Tracy's kind of a bonus take a chance on
me style runner with a C grade. The Eagles have
allowed the eighth most combo yards and the fourth most
touchdowns to the running back position, so I think Scatabo
is in play over on the Eagles side. Jalen Hurts
he finds a way to do it every week. He's
still in A grade. DeVonta Smith had a career day
(09:18):
against the Vikings last week eleven targets, nine catches, one
hundred and eighty three yards, and a score, and AJ
Brown has already been ruled out for this game. So
the problem with the Eagles receivers has been it's just
been a roller coaster of consistency for them prior to
last week. Between AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, each had
only scored one time prior to last week, and each
(09:41):
had only topped eighty yards once on the season.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
And the Giants have been.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Horrible against wide receivers the most yards and second most
receptions allowed. And maybe this is closer to an A
grade for Smith because he's the only big time wide
receiver they have, and he'll be a little bit more
of a focal point, but I'm just gonna give him
a bee because of the inconsistent nat of the Eagles
pass game. Dallas Goddard gets an A grade though week six,
he went bananas against New York nine catches, one hundred
(10:08):
and ten yards in a score. He's already tied a
career high with five touchdown receptions in a season and
He's tied for fifth in the NFL and touchdown receptions
this year, not just tight ends all the positions, so
Dallas Goddard is up there. But the toughest call this week,
and I saved him for last, that's Saquon Barkley. It's
a half decent matchup for him. But something's not right
(10:30):
with Saquon. And maybe it's that Derrick Henry thing where
both of them had over three hundred and fifty touches
last year and both of them are just dead tired
right now. Saquon's only averaging three point three yards per carry.
He's scored only four times in seven games. He's been
kept to sixty or fewer rushing yards in six of
his seven games this season. Last year, he was kept
(10:52):
to sixty or fewer rushing yards in Week six and
the Super Bowl. That's so the Giants defense allowing five
point three yards per carry, but they held Saquon to
sixty seven conbo yards on fourteen touches in the prior meeting.
I'm still gonna roll out a B grade for Saquon
because the matchup is good. It's the Giants revenge game,
(11:13):
and no one's seriously benching him in a six team
by week.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Saquon Barkley's one of the big mysteries.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
If you'd told me he was going to play all
these games healthy and that there's no reason for him
to have a massive drop off. He's at fifty percent
of his fantasy points from last year, you wouldn't know
what was coming. It's been remarkable Brown's taken on the Pats.
I want to start with quinch On Judkins, who was
great last week, as predicted in a bad weather game.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
We knew he's going to get the ball a lot.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
This is a tricky matchup against the Patriots, and I
know we don't think of the Patriots as a great defense.
Their run defense has been really good. Here's some data
behind it. They're seeing the fourth fewest rushing plays. They're
allowing the fifth fewest fantasy points to runners. They've got
the fifth best run defense EPA and the third best
yards before contact. No runners topped forty nine yards against
(12:03):
the Patriots for almost a mid season. We're talking about
no runner topping forty nine yards against New England Patriots
seven point favorites. If you think this is going to
be a one sided game, there is real downside for
Judkins if the game script tilts away from the running
game in parks. He doesn't catch zero or one catches
in every game, but won this year for winch on Judkins.
(12:25):
Two weeks ago, the Browns fell behind early to Pittsburgh
and Judkins had a scoreless thirty six yard game.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
That's your downside here.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Still a B grade for Judkins, but he is not
the slam dunk play that he was last week. Moving
over to the passing game for the Browns, I want
to start with Harold Fanning. Last week with David an
jok who out he was great and he's posted career
highs and routes, run and target share. This week, we
think Jokho's gonna come back from his knee injury. The
(12:54):
Patriots have allowed big games to pretty much every team
that's focused on their tight ends. Tight Ends with five
or more targets are averaging a very healthy seventy two
yards against the Patriots. But the question is if in
joke who's back, does Fanning get that kind of usage. Again,
it's averaging six targets a game, so maybe he does.
Assuming in Djoku plays C grade on Harold Fannin and
(13:15):
for in Djoku because he does come in with the
knee injury. Even if he plays, I'd prefer to go
another way, just you know, you don't have to play
him here against a middle of the pack tight end defense.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
We'll keep him on the bench.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Let's talk about Jerry Judy, one of the biggest disappointments
of this season. Last week's bad weather game was a
contributing factor to a bad season. But Judy is the
clear go to wide receiver on this team, and the
Browns have simply got to start manufacturing a downfield passing
attack of some kind. The Patriots secondary has been a
(13:48):
lot better since Christian Gonzalez returned from as the cornerback
in Week four. He has yet to allow a score.
Judy runs from all parts of the field. He can
get easier coverage on the side of the field of
Gonzalz does not play, but he's been so bad I
still I think they got to get the ball to
him some. So I've got a C grade on Jerry
(14:09):
Judy in a bye week. I don't like him though,
and Dylan Gabriel not even considering playing here. He brings
the league's shortest dight out. It's just five yards per pass.
He gets a bench grade even in a sixteen bye week.
Let's go over to the Patriots side. Let's start with
Romandre Stevenson, who's getting all the work. Patriots offensive line
still struggling. Romandre tends to do as well as his
(14:32):
offensive line allows. And against the brown that's gonna be Browns,
that's gonna be very very little. Almost every metric has
the Browns as the league's best run defense. They're number
one in ESPN's run stuff win rate, they're number one
in PFF's run defense rankings. They're number one in fantasy
points allowed to running backs. I can only go see
grade on Stevenson. We're hoping for some short yardage touchdown
(14:54):
love for Stevenson, which seems likely. Going over to Trevon
Henderson coming off season lows in everything last week, really
bad news. You know, not to start Traveon Henderson. The
tougher question is do you drop him? Stay tuned for that.
Let's go over to the passing game. Drake May Because
(15:16):
of the Browns great run defense, the way you beat
Cleveland is through the air. Only Ta last week in
the rain has failed to score against the Browns. Whether
it's passing or rushing, May always finds his way to
a great game. The Browns pass rush remains very, very good,
and there is a scenario where Miles Garrett and Malie
Collins simply overwhelmed the Patriots offensive line and put Drake
(15:36):
d on a bad game. And that's why I'm putting
him down to a B grade here. But most likely
Drake May is gonna be fine in this game, like
he has all the rest this year. Stefan Diggs is
still looking for his first touchdown of the year. Fortunately,
his usage just climbed a lot over the last month.
I think it's just him coming off that acl and
getting more confident. Dig helps from every position. The Browns
(15:58):
cornerbacks are just league average guy. They do have that
excellent pass rush, though, and that might mean fewer downfield
passes for Stefan Diggs as Drake May has to get
rid of the ball quickly.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Just a se grade on him. Kaishan Booty hit, He's
just a dart throw here.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
It's a league average secondari as I mentioned, But Booty
still leads Stefan Diggs and the whole team in snaps
and routes run in every game. But one he's gonna
He's getting a decent amount of action on the field.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
He just isn't getting targeted very much.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Just a se grade on Kaishan Booty and honestly, I
hope you don't have.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
To use him here.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
His usage is frustratingly low. He's really just touchdown dependent
at this stage. And when he doesn't score, Hunter Henry
is tight end twenty nine. That is a whin elle.
Almost every week starting on tight end twenty nine. Weirdly,
the Browns have allowed four tight end touchdowns, all of
them to backup tight ends, which is weird and maybe
(16:51):
bad for Hunter Henry. Maybe it's Austin Hooper time here,
but that seems unlikely to UH to play itself out
for very very long. When we come back to Fantasy
Football Weekly, take a chance on me.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
It's a six team five apocalypse. You need some players
to pick up off the waiver wire.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
We are here to help. Take a chance on me.
Comes back after this.
Speaker 7 (17:39):
And take a chance, make a chance on me.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Not players would not only start in this my apocalypse.
You need find some guys off the waiver wire. We
are here to help. Let's begin at the quarterback position
and Scott Fish. Who is you take a chance on
me quarterback this week?
Speaker 6 (18:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:08):
I'm going with Michael PENNOCKX, junior quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons.
Speaker 6 (18:12):
This week.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
He's at home versus a Dolphins team that is seemingly
giving up on the season and really everything. They've allowed
multiple scores to six of the seven quarterbacks they've faced,
with only Dylan Gabriel failing to do that as he
threw the ball just eighteen times in a complete blowout
where Judkins was doing all the scoring. Pennix at home
(18:33):
are pedicks on the road. In three games on the road,
averages one hundred and eighty two yards and he only
has one passing score. At home, where he'll be playing
this week, he averages two hundred and eighty seven yards,
and he has four passing scores and one rushing score,
so he averages over one hundred yards more at home.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
If Kirk Cousins needs to be the starting quarterback, would
you plug Kirk Cousins in as an emergency starter?
Speaker 6 (18:59):
I will I would.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
I was gonna mention it next segment. But if Pennix
somehow doesn't go, Pennick says he expects to fully go
but if he doesn't, Kirk Cousins will still be in
command of that offense with that same matchup.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
See, I don't think they need Pennix for this one.
I think Kirky. I think there's a better chance that
Kirk starts than other people are saying.
Speaker 6 (19:18):
And Kirk think it for free. Everyone.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
You can get him for free off the way for
a wire right now, Matt, you take a chance on me.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Quarterback?
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Is Joe Flacco forty seven pass attempts last week? Forty
five the week before, the Bengals are like, the season's
not going well, We're just going to pass our way
out of this. So this week it's the Jets. They've
actually been better against the pass recently, but it's still
the same team that gave up four touchdown passes to
another forty year old quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. They also gave
(19:47):
up four touchdown passes to Dak Prescott this year. Those
guys like to pass the ball too, and so does
Joe Flacco.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
I take a chance with me, quarterback. Honestly, I think
I like a lot less than yours.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
But that's okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
I like whichever Jets starter is going to be the
quarterback Tyrod Taylor, Justin Field.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
I think it's gonna be Field. I don't know. Aaron
Glenn is keeping it a secret.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Oh you, you can't let the Bengals prepare for that.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Oh no, we never root for injury on the show.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
But the best case scenario is that Tyrod Taylor gets
ruled out with his knee injury, because then Fields can't
get benched. If that happens, Justin Fields becomes a plausible starter.
Remember in Fields his four full games, He's been a
top seven fantasy quarterback in three of those four games,
and the Bengals have allowed the most passing touchdowns in
the fourth most passing yard So even Justin Fields could
(20:40):
get it done. In a contrarian angle, let's go to
the running back position, Scott Fish, you're take a chance.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
On me runner?
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Apparently I like players who have been slightly limited in
practice this week, I might.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
Take a chance on me.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Runner is Tyler Alder, who popped up with a slight injury,
also expected to play, But we'll have other options for you.
If the Dolphins have allowed a league most ten runs
over twenty plus yards and a league most four runs
over forty plus yards, Rico Dado, Kamani Vadal Quinchhawn Judkins
all just destroyed Miami. Atlanta is eight point favorite, so
(21:15):
it might be a lot of Algier late if he's
good to go and playing.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
All right, we have.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Algier's done nothing this year, but this is his best
opportunity of the season.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Matt, you'll take a chance on me runner.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
Well I mentioned that the Bengals are going to try
to pass their way out of things. On the other
side of the ball, the Jets are going to try
to run their way out of things because the Bengals
are the worst run defense in football and it's not close.
Breis Hall's dinged up. The bye week is coming. They're
seasons in disarray. The quarterback situation is awful. They're going
to try to win by running it. And it's Isaiah
Davis who's might take a chance on me runner. He
(21:48):
had forty eight percent of the running back snaps for
the Jets last week. The Bengals are bottom ten in
every stat category against the run, but I'll highlight that
they're allowing thirty running back touches per game, most in
the league, one hundred and sixty seven combo yards per game,
second most in the league, and they've allowed ten running
back touchdowns this year. That's also second most in the league.
(22:09):
So you can fire up by Isaiah Davis this week.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Wow, that is some deep stuff right there. I don't
know if you. I don't know how many Jets you
want to add, but I've given a jet, You've given
a Jetwo.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
I don't know why we're back in the Jets right now,
but we are. You want to give one more, don't you?
Speaker 5 (22:23):
I do.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
It might just happen in a minute, but not right here.
Might take a chance to be running back. Is Chicago
Bear running back Kyle Maung Guy fifteen touches last week
in a thirty nine percent rush share that outpaces anything
we've seen from a young guy until a prior to now.
He looks like David Montgomery in a Ben Johnson offense.
(22:45):
Manan Guy looks good, and with DeAndre Swift nursing a
groin injury, Manan Guy's going to continue to see the
meaningful usage that we saw last week, and if Swift
gets ruled out entirely, Manan Guy shoots into like top
ten running back territory for this matchup. The Ravens run
defense has been awful, giving up the second most fantasy
points to opposing runners, and the Ravens ongoing loss of
(23:07):
defensive tackle Namdi Madebike suggests that is not going to
change for the Ravens. Kylemanungai might take a chance on
me running. All right, Let's go to the receivers on
the slate, beginning with Scott Fish.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Who you got?
Speaker 3 (23:21):
I am going with Jalen Noel, a slot receiver for
the wide for the Houston Texans. Last week, Noel was
the main beneficiary of Nico Collins going out and Christian
Kirk being heard. He takes the place of Christian Kirk
in the slot. Went four for seventy seven on seven
targets last week. Four of his seven targets came after
the Nico injury, catching two of them for forty three yards,
(23:43):
and three of those four targets were twenty plus yard
deep targets. The forty nine ers are middle of the
pack against wide receivers. They've allowed fifteen different wide receivers
over forty plus yards. They allow them to spread it around,
and he'll be going up against fellow rookie up in
Stout ranked one hundred and eight among cornerbacks PFF with
an abysmal thirty nine point one coverage grade. Who's dealing
(24:04):
with an ankle injury, so back pedaling and cutting trying
to keep up with speedy Noel might be a problem.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
Jalen Noel, Take a chance on me, wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
That's probably our deepest group of take a chance with
me players all year. All right, man, your take a
chance on yeah. Oh, that'll do it. Matt your take
a chance on me player.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
I've got Troy Franklin, and I'm gonna plant my flag here.
He will score a touchdown in this game. He had
ten targets last week. He only caught three of them,
but he scored in last week's game. Four of those
targets were in the red zone, and in fact, Troy
Franklin leads all Denver wide receivers with ten red zone
(24:44):
targets this year. He's averaging almost seven regular targets per game.
And it's Dallas this week. They've allowed the most touchdowns
to the wide receiver position in the league this year,
twelve so far. Troy Franklin's gonna score one, maybe two.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Courland Sutton should be the big body to Courtland Sutton
he should be the end zone, red zone guy that
they target more often.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
We'll talk more about that. I like him here too.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Obviously, I'm going to give you a tight end to
use in the bipocalypse. Also unfortunately questionable the quad injury.
But Mason Taylor of the Jets. And yet we have
three Jets in this and unfortunately on the Jets. Yes,
if we could change that, we would. But here's the thing.
The Bengals are the opponents of the worst tight end
defense by a mile. They rank thirty first in tight
(25:30):
end receptions. They rank thirty second in tight end yards allowed,
thirty second in tight end touchdowns allowed. They've already given
up nine tight end touchdowns on the season. That's crazy
nine times nine times some years. Garrett Wilson not expected
to play, Josh Reynolds is hurt.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
There's just nobody left to.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Catch a pass except Mason Taylor, assuming the quad injury
lets him play. All right, let's get back to our matchups.
Dolphins take making on the Falcons. Dolphins look like they've
packed it in. In my mind, Scott, there's only one
Dolphin I feel good about starting, and that's Debonni Right, you're.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Probably right on that I have a bench grade on
to a tongue of ioloa against the Falcons pass defense
allowing the second fewest completions, second fewest attempts, second fewest
passing scores, the fewest yards, and the second fewest passing
points are fantasy points to quarterbacks like the passing game
should should all be on the bench. But I do
(26:33):
have c grades on Jalen Wattle and Malik Washington. Somehow,
the Falcons don't allow many explosive plays. They allow the
fewest yards after the catch. Where does it come from? Well, well,
they've allowed a couple big games to the lead receiver,
which Jalen Wattle will be, and Jalen Wattle gets the
(26:54):
target volume that has made Hay on the Falcons. Malik
Washington set a season high in last week in Cleveland
and snaps targets, catches, yards, everything. Notably though he was
only five for thirty thirty total yards with Hill and
now Waller on ir and the Falcons will be without
(27:15):
their slot corner Billy Bowman, who's missed the past two games.
And also the Falcons allow the second most, oh actually
the second most fantasy points to this lot. It might
be an okay spot for Malik Washington, so I have
sea grades there. Devin h Chan, I have an A
grade on season one snaps last week, but still sixteen
(27:39):
touches for ninety eight yards. Dolphins are missing two of
their front seven on defense. Devin h Chan has ninety
plus yards and or a score in every single game
this year. Double digit fantasy points in every single game
this year for BPR. Even though the Falcons are top
six in almost every category, the offense kind of has
to run through him. He still fifteen to twenty touches.
(28:01):
A grade on Devin eight Chan over to the Atlanta
Falcon side Michael Pennix or potentially Kirk Cousins. I guess
is might take a chance on me. Quarterback Bjeon Robinson
is an automatic A grade. Every lead back has ninety
eight or more yards against this Miami Dolphins team and
they average one hundred and thirty two yards then the
(28:21):
lead backs to so it could be a big game there.
Tyler al Jeer, he's might take a chance on my
player in he had ten plus touches and a score
in three of the four games prior to last week.
The game he didn't play the game, he came out
of Nathan Carter came in and was trusted to the
tune of seven carries for forty six yards in that
(28:42):
mop up duty. So if Algier doesn't go, he might
be worth it, but only if Algier doesn't go. B
grade on Drake London. He had a forty two percent
target share in games without Darnell Mooney. With Mooney, it
dropped to twenty two percent. He was having assive games
without Moody and it's pulled back. He's likely gonna get
(29:03):
shadowed treatment from Razul Douglas. Razull Douglas did hold Garrett
Wilson and Ted McMillan under twenty five yards in there
on his coverage, but they slipped away from him and
both had six plus catches and seventy plus yards. We
can hope for that for Drake London. So I got
a B grade there. I'm keeping Darnell Mooney on the bench,
who has been injured all week. They've been managing that
(29:25):
soft tissue hamstring injury and is in his four healthy games,
he hasn't topped ten PPR points in he's only top
He hasn't top ten PPR points at all, and he
has just one game with more than four five targets.
Kyle Pitts Senior is getting a B grade here. Pitts
is coming off ten targets seven for sixty two game
(29:47):
day that Brian and Brian Johnson is probably being about
that somewhere he has. He's been averaging six targets and
about fifty yards per game. And he gets a Dolphins
defense allowing the eighth most receptions and fifth most yards
to tight ends. All four tight ends with five plus
targets against the Dolphins, all four of them went for
sixty plus yards. And that's what Pitts is getting.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
It has turned to in his fifth year, Kyle Pitts
is finally turning into a semi reliable fantasy.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Asset at the tight end position.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
When we come back, Baker Mayfield coming off his worst
game of the year by a mile, is a bounce
back coming find out when we returned to Fantasy Football Weekly.
(30:53):
Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly. Paul Churchi and Scott Fish
and Matt Harrison with you.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
We've got a block of man here.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Three different games to break down FFW style, beginning with
the Bucks taking on the Saints. Matt Rashad White has
been a pretty solid fill in for Bucky Irving, and
he's going to need to start this one as well.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
Yeah, Bucky Irving's still out this week. I got an
A grade on Rashad White at least fourteen touches in
each of the last three weeks. Out snapped Sean Tucker
sixty two to seven last week, and the Saints are
allowing one hundred and thirty two combo yards per game
that almost all goes to White in this case. Baker
Mayfield still in a grade as well, even with all
the injuries to his receivers. Even without all those receivers,
(31:35):
last week, he threw the ball fifty times, and he's
throwing multiple touchdown passes in five of seven.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
The matchup is good too.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
The Saints are allowing multiple touchdown passes to every quarterback
they've faced, except for Caleb Williams, who they played last week.
The injuries are something though, Mike Evans on IR he's
droppable in any redraft format with no IR spots, Chris
Godwin not going to play in Week eight, and Ameca
Agbuka been limited all week with a hamstring injury. He
was able to gut it out last week. And he's
(32:04):
gonna go this week too. I'm gonna give him a
B grade after seeing twelve targets. He hasn't actually missed
a game yet this season, but the last two weeks
were definitely down weeks with his injury. The Saints haven't
yet allowed one hundred yard game to a wide receiver
this season. But the game script actually might not be
an Egbuka's favor to receive twelve targets again, but the
Saints and Bucks games are always weird and never normal,
(32:28):
so this could be one of those eighty point shootout
games for no reason. Ted Johnson worthy of a C grade,
and so is Sterling Sharp in PPR only, though Tes
has scored in two straight and had nine targets last
week in Detroit. Shepard caught all seven of his targets
last week, but for a really low yardage total of
twenty five yards. These are Florida grades, though just barely
(32:51):
a C level. It get it here we go, cade Atten,
he's startable too. This is from Fantasy Football Almost Dailies.
Trevor Jones, and I urge you to, you know, listen
and subscribe to that show. It's got me on it.
It's got fishing its great Yeah. Last week without Evans
and Godwin, Aughten led the team in catches and receiving yards.
(33:13):
And in twenty twenty four there was a three game
stretch where Mike Evans got hurt in the first half
of one game. And this is how that three game
stretch went with no Godwin or Evans, eight for one
hundred and one, nine for eighty one and two eight
for seventy seven to one. Jetton is focused on when
there's a lot of injuries, and he was last week too.
(33:37):
All right, let's talk about the Saints running backs. Charge,
can't use Kendre Miller as has take a.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Chance on me anymore. There's a beetlejuice rule.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
If you use a running back as to take a
chance on make me player three times in a row,
he'll tear his a one.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
So it's the beetlejuice rule. Charge, you can't do it.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
Yes, Camara and Devin Neil has topped fifty rushing yards
once in his last five games and hasn't scored since
Week one, and the Bucks allowed the third fewest rushing
yards to opposing backs.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Kamara also nursing an angle injury.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
He's on the bench, so is Devin wow Chris Olave
startable with a B grade in this one. He's had
double digit PPR points in every game this year, ninety
eight yards in both of the last two weeks, and
he scored twice against the Bears last week as well.
He's averaging ten targets per game, and players who've seen
at least ten targets against the Bucks this year have
(34:34):
averaged nineteen point five PPR points, so Olave in a
pretty good spot here. Rashid Shaheed has had exactly four
receptions and six straight games, but with wildly varying results.
Fifty two or fewer yards in five of those games,
and then he went over one hundred and scored in
the other one, so he's touchdown dependent. But the Bucks
have only allowed five touchdown receptions to wide receivers this year.
(34:57):
The lowest possible C grade for Shahid. Juwan Johnson had
five for seventy nine last week, but he hasn't scored
since Week two, and he has had more than four
targets only once in his last four games. I'm gonna
leave him on the bench as Jack Stole and Foster
Moreau and Taysom Hill are eating into his snaps now,
and he was also practicing with an no on contact
(35:17):
jersey this week, So he's on the bench. Spencer Rattler's
on your bench too, only in a super flex league
where you're in the bipocalypse?
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Can you start him?
Speaker 4 (35:25):
Two hundred and thirty three yards is his top performance
this year, and he's only thrown for multiple scores twice
through seven games.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Spencer Ratler had played pretty decent ball and then last
week just disaster. Great stuff from Spencer Ratler, maybe a
bounce back here, but not good enough to start Agreed Bears.
Taking on the Ravens Roma Dunze feels like a slam
dunk here against the defense that's allowed these second most
wide receiver points. But the Ravens secondary is entirely healthy
(35:53):
for the first time all year, and it's going to
be better now than it was before. The Dunday remains
the most bad think of the Chicago receivers by mile.
He's fallen below a twenty percent target rate just once
all year. Top ten and end zone looks B grade
for Roma Dunes eight. The other side of that is
DJ Moore, with an ultra disappointing season, just one touchdown,
(36:14):
and DJ Moore hasn't topped forty six yards since Week one.
He's a utility player, can run from anywhere on the
field and exploits the best matchup available. But the Ravens
secondary again back to full health, so there might not
be a dominating matchup four more in this one. He's
had exactly five targets in every game, but one and
five targets isn't enough to fill a box score C
(36:36):
grade for DJ Moore.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Staying with a passing game, Cole Comet ruled out.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
Maybe this is Colston Loveland's first meaningful fantasy game left.
I think it might be with Commeet left. Last week's game.
Early Loveland saw career highs in snaps and targets. Pretty
Much every opposing team's wide tight end room has posted
good games against Baltimore, including Tyler Higbee in the most
Ravens game. C grade for Colston Loveland, I think he
(37:04):
kind of hits the map here with a decent showing.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Let's go to.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Caleb Williams, who remains very much a work in process here.
Some baffling miscues, some great plays. I've got BC and
C grades for his receivers. Ravens look bad on paper,
but again and keeps saying this, their whole secondary coming
back healthy, They're gonna be better than they were. Williams
probably doesn't scramble from any fantasy points, which he can do,
(37:28):
but I don't think he does here. The Ravens were
only giving up thirteen quarterback rushing yards per game, and
again they're healthier now.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
So just the C grade. I'm Caleb Williams, and that
brings us to the running game.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Kyle mcnunguy was going to take a chance on me
running for DeAndre Swift, and he, by the way, C
grade on him. DeAndre Swift has got this groin injury
that I mentioned earlier, but he's looked great the past
couple of weeks, and the Bears offensive line is opening
massive holes for DeAndre Swift. As I discussed in the
Kyle mcnunguy take a Chance I meet, the Ravens run
defense has been awful at full strength. If DeAndre Swift
(38:04):
was fully healthy, I'd give him an A grade, but
factoring in the groin injury and knowing how easily those
can aggravate, we dropped DeAndre Swift to a B grade
in this matchup over to the Ravens side. Just a
couple of guys. We're talking about Derrick Henry. The Bears
run defense has looked much better lately since coming out
of their Week five by. They've Stammied Stemied, Jacorey krossky Merritt,
(38:24):
and Alvin Kamara and back to back weeks. But Derek
Henry is way better than those guys, and before last
week's by, Henry saw a massive workload and ran at
five yards per carry. I'd like to think we're getting
the old Derrick Henry back. The Ravens always want to
get him going. I think he's gonna get plenty of
carries here, but they do tend to forget about Henry
for stretches if they fall behind. I don't think that's
(38:45):
gonna happen. B grade on Derrick Henry in this one.
The passing game's fascinating, obviously. Lamar Jackson is an A grade.
But this is an especially good opportunity because the Bears
are going to be missing all three starting cornerbacks. Kyler
Murray sorry, Kyler Gordon, Tyreek Stevenson and Jalen Johnson all
ruled out of this game. Zave Flowers goes all the
(39:06):
way up to an A grade. Chicago's allowed four wide
receiver scores in their last two games. Flowers was basically
unusable during the Cooper Rush era, but this is a
great opportunity for him.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Rashad Bateman even hits the mark.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
If you're going to try to find that one time
a month Rashad Bateman game, this looks like it. With
all three of the Bear's cornerbacks out. Chicago ranks thirtieth
in deep ball completion percentage allowed and they've allowed the
second most deep ball touchdowns. And that's what Rashad Bateman's
game is all about. Our deep balls. He comes in
(39:41):
with a C grade. And then lastly, Mark Andrews has
been worse than you think. He's had only one game
with over thirty yards, and if you take away his
two touchdown game, Andrews is averaging out as tight end
thirty eight. There's only thirty two NFL teams, so that
means on average, Andrews performing as badly as sixteen backup
tight ends. And even in the Lamar Jackson games he
(40:04):
wasn't doing very well. Only two tight ends of top
forty six yards against the Bears. Mark Andrews is on
the bench. All right, let's go over to our final
matchup of this segment, Scott. It's the Titans taking on
the Colts. Oh, this Titan offense just looking breadful.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
As far as Kem Ward's concerned. He's had three games
in the mid two fifties for yards, but just four
passing scores all year. It's a friendly matchup, but Ward
couldn't even find garbage time stats in blowouts in other games.
Why should he get them here if he's not done
it yet.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Elk io'manor.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
As much as we all like him on this show,
and he continues to be the target leader, he hasn't
top thirty yards in three weeks and we thought last
week was gonna be the week at least Thordan with
to take a chance on me, so I have him
on the bench. Tamire Dkay is an interesting Darth throw.
I have a bench grade on him. But the Colts
have been susceptible to big pass plays, allowing twenty four
(41:01):
pass plays of twenty plus yards, tied for fourth most.
The Colts allow the most receptions, second most yards, and
seventh most scores to wide receivers. Because teams have been
playing catch up to the Colts. So if you really
need a deep dart throw, Chamira dk might be worthy.
Speaker 6 (41:18):
This week.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
I didn't give him the starting grade, but Darth throw
there gunner Helm, I'm given a C grade too. A
few weeks ago I mentioned on the show how the
coaching staff was trying to get him more involved. When
I said you needed a bench Chicka Konku because they
were trying to ramp this guy up. They actually did.
They've ramped him up over the last three weeks. And
(41:39):
the Colts defense just allowed one hundred and sixty four
in a score to Gadston, one hundred and six and
escore to mcbradon Higgins and they're the fourth best matchup
for opposing tight ends. I have Tony Pollard and Spears
on the bench. They have taken Pollard's sixteen to twenty
touches and basically split them in their flip flopping.
Speaker 6 (41:57):
If you do have to choose.
Speaker 3 (41:58):
One, well, by the way, the Colts. The only players
they have done well against the Colts gotten up to
fifty five yards had thirteen plus touches. Neither are getting this.
If you have to choose one, though, it's Pollard who's
been getting more work on the other side. A grade
for Jonathan Taylor. I got a B grade for Daniel Jones.
He's basically must start now. He averages two hundred and
(42:19):
fifty five passing yards and he has two touchdowns in
every single game. Michael Pittman's getting a B grade. Top
ten in red zone targets, caught four four scores.
Speaker 6 (42:29):
He's scored in five of his seven games.
Speaker 3 (42:33):
Titans are middle of the pack, but that shouldn't slow
Michael Pittman. Tyler Warren is getting an A grade. He's
really entered must star category at this point, and Alec
Pierce is giving a C grade despite Josh Bounce coming back.
Titans are bottom ten in receptions, receiving yards, and explosive
plays allowed to wide receivers, and I think he can
get a deep one in this one. He's had a
(42:53):
deep one in three of his last four games.
Speaker 1 (42:56):

Football Weekly coming up in moments. Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly,
(43:45):
our number two. This is a game we call three
tough questions, and predictably we start here.
Speaker 5 (43:50):
Tough question number one.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Is Alvin Kamara cooked or merely medium? Well, we just
talked about him last segment. We'll try to expand on
that right here. We begin with Scott Fish. Is Alvin
Kamara cooked? Promirely me him well?
Speaker 3 (44:03):
Kamara is second worst this season in rush yards over expectation,
behind only Traveon Henderson, who we might talk about next.
He hasn't had more than eleven rush attempts since Week four,
and Kendrey Miller was really digging in. The catches have
still been there, but he's averaging a career worst three
point six yards per carry and a career worst by
(44:26):
a mile four point nine yards per reception. He joked
about retiring if they try to trade him. I don't
think anyone's desperate enough to trade for him, and he's
half retired out there on the field already. He's making
fantasy days viable on volume season PPR catches. But other
than that, he seems pretty cooked.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
So is that a yes cooked or is that a yeah? Okay,
you said pretty cooked. I just want to.
Speaker 6 (44:52):
Nice in there.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
No, you didn't say anything die in there, which is
hard for you to do.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
By the way, describe a player ten different ways negative
Matt Harrison.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
Is Alvin Kamara cooked or merely medium? Well, he is cooked.
Speaker 4 (45:05):
I mentioned some stats about him in my matchup where
I gave him a bench grade, but I'll add that
he's scored two touchdowns in his last fifteen games. He's
had two one hundred yard games in his last fifteen games,
and he's had eight games of fifty rushing yards or
fewer in that span. He's really cooked, not just regular cook.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Yes, I'm not going to shovel dirt on Kamara's grave,
but he's cooked. You guys have already hit a bunch
of the stats that I was going to hit on,
as in top seventy rushing yards this year. You know,
Kendrey Miller was eating into his his workload in a
big way, and I think at some pointy Kendrey Miller
was going to take that job. Now, Devin Neil has
(45:52):
got the opportunity to do that, and we're going to
talk a little bit more about him down the road,
rock Chuck Tough.
Speaker 5 (45:58):
Question number two, Should.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
Listeners drop New England running back Travion Henderson? Scott, you
just alluded to this, but you don't get to go first,
Matt Harrison. Should listeners drop Traveon Henderson?
Speaker 4 (46:10):
No, I've got a couple of reasons. First, Mike Vrabel
has a track record of not giving up on guys
Enter Stevenson Comma Remandre, who fumbled twice on the goal
line against the Steelers this year, Vrabel went back to Remandre. Second,
The stretch slash fantasy playoff run for the Patriots running
(46:31):
backs is so juicy since he in Week twelve, the
Giantston thirteen. They got a buy in week fourteen, but
then they have the Bills in week fifteen, their tenth
easiest against the run, Baltimore in Week sixteen, their fiftiesiest
against the run, and the Jets in week seventeen. They're
middle of the pack, but they might have just completely
given up at that point. If Ramandre gets hurt or
(46:51):
fumbles one more time, Henderson might be a late season hero, all.
Speaker 1 (46:56):
Right, Scott Fish should listeners drop New England running Henderson.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
At first, when I read this, this question confused me
and it's phrasing and should they drop Henderson? I wasn't
sure how to answer it because the way you worded
it makes it sound like people still have them on
their rosters, are currently debated dropping him off the roster,
that they somehow still have him on.
Speaker 6 (47:21):
But I guess if you yeah so.
Speaker 3 (47:23):
McDaniels has said for weeks on end that he was
going to get Henderson more involved, more involved, and he
hasn't done it, and the coaching staff continues to say, well,
Stevenson's running well later in the season with those great matchups.
What if Stevenson is still running well in those great matchups,
they might just keep it with him. This is a
long roundabout way to actually say. I probably the offense
(47:47):
is pretty good, Trivion Henderson will be the next man up.
Those are good matchups, and running backs are a mess
this year. You might be starting guys like Woody Marx.
A lot of weeks are Tony Paul and guys like that.
Travion Henderson probably should be on a roster. I know
I made a joke at the top, but I don't
think they. They probably shouldn't be dropping him just yet.
Speaker 2 (48:10):
All right, so you're a hold on. We have a
hold in a hold.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
The only reasons to roster Travon Henderson is hoping that
Rmandri Stevenson fumbles away the starting job or gets hurt.
So he's really just a handcuff. And here's the thing,
He's not even a good handcuff. Travan Henderson is dead
last in Pro Football Focus is running back rankings as
a runner. He's also dead last in Pro Football Focuses
(48:35):
past blocking rankings as a runner. I mean, those are hard.
It's hard to get on the field. I'm not saying
Travan Henderson will never be good. I am saying he
hasn't been good. His past blocking is terrible. And there's
so many handcuffs that are better than Travian Henderson.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
The versions of Travion Henderson.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
We've seen Ray Davis, Oli Gordon, Jerome Ford, Kenneth Gainwell,
Base Shelton, TYJ. Spears, Woody Marks, Tyrone, Tracy will Shipley,
Tank Bigsby, Chris Rodriguez, Emanuel Wilson, Blake Or and Brian
Robinson all better running backs. And what we've seen that
are all handcuffs. I don't need to be tied to
Trevon Henderson reliving his preseason That was a bad read.
(49:19):
He's not ready yet and I'm not just rostering a
handcuff for the sake of rostering a handcuff.
Speaker 6 (49:25):
I did drop him in the league this week.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
I think you answered your own question better than you
answered your own questions Scott.
Speaker 5 (49:33):
Tough question number three.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Are you buy and low on Isaiah Pacheco or are
you just glad you don't have him? And we may
have actually asked a version of this question earlier in
the season. I believe we're gonna circle back to it
now with Scott Fish.
Speaker 6 (49:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
I took down what you said, and I'm just going
to recite it verbatim now, Okay, No, I'll be short
and quick. Probably just glad I don't have him. Britchard
Smith had a bunch of touches at the end of
a blow, so I don't really think he's fully working in,
but they want to work him in a bit more.
They don't seem to love or trust their run game
at all. They're having mahomes throw a ton more this
(50:09):
year than last year, especially when they get down near
the goal line and having Mahomes run it in at
the goal line instead instead of having a running back.
Pachecko has failed the top sixty yards this whole year
and he does just two scores. I'm just glad I
don't have him at this point.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
Matt Isaiah Pachecko. Are you buy and low on Pachecko?
Are you just glad you don't have him?
Speaker 4 (50:34):
If I can get Pachecko for basically nothing and use
him as a bench player as a depth piece, I
think that I'll acquire him right now. Fifteen carries last
week his first rushing score since Week one of twenty
twenty four. There's a handful of games coming up that
he's going to get starting grades too. Dallas in week thirteen,
Chargers in week fifteen, and Titans in week sixteen stick
(50:56):
out as very startable games. So if you're not having
to start him and he's just a bench guy, I
don't mind grabbing him and using him in a few spots.
Speaker 1 (51:05):
That is the correct answer for what you have to
pay to get Isaiah Pachecko. I'm buying and part of
its eye test watching Pachecko, he is running with the
vigor that we saw pre injury that he did not
show for the first four or five games of this year.
Box scores don't tell the whole story, but he's getting
(51:26):
He's coming off his two games with the most attempts.
That looks like they're starting to finally realize that Kareem
Hunt shouldn't be carrying the ball, that he's awful, which
he is at this stage of his career. And yes,
Richard Smith is working into the back more, but that's
primarily as a receiver, which has never been Pacheco's game anyway.
So right now, for what it'll cost me to go
(51:46):
get Pichecko, I think he is a flex guy through
these remaining bye weeks, of which we still have I
don't know whatever five weeks left with bye weeks. Pachecko's
the kind of guy to be happy to flex in
those situations, and I think it's the time to buy low.
All right, Let's go to our final matchup of this segment,
and that is Jets taking on the Bengals Matt Harrison.
Somehow we managed to use three Jets in our take
(52:09):
a chance on me segment, and that doesn't really leave
I think anybody left Josh Reynolds is hurt. I can't
believe there's anybody left even to talk about on the Jets.
Speaker 4 (52:18):
Well, I think that there's somebody we need to talk about,
and that's Todd Heap, because it's time for the Jets
version of the Todd Heap Memorial injury report. Barrett Wilson
is out this week. Mason Taylor didn't practice on Thursday
with a quad injury. His backup Stone Smart didn't practice either.
Tyrod Taylor might be the starter, but he's limited with
(52:40):
a knee injury. Breis Hall also limited with a knee injury,
but it looks like he'll play. Sauce Gardner didn't practice
with concussion. So basically all of their best and most
important players are injured heading into the last game before
a bye week in a lost season. So of course
we put three take a chance on me. He's on
the Jets, Taylor, whoever the Jets quarterback is, and Isaiah
(53:03):
Davis will all take a chance on me. Guys, Breece
Hall is the only other guy you can talk about
on the Jets. He's startable with a C grade. Hall
had thirteen touches last week against the Panthers, in a
game that was close, so that's a little disappointing. He
should have done much more than fifty two combo yards.
But the Jets just have diseased vibes right now. The
only way to get out of it is to run
(53:25):
the ball against the worst running defense in the league.
And I tackled some of the Sinci stats in the
take a chance on Me segment. But if Breece Hall
can't get it done today, he's going to be in
three tough questions. Is he drop a bawle next week?
Joe Flacco was might take a chance on me quarterback,
so I must love his receivers. Of course, we love
Jamar Chase. He's seen thirty five Joe Flacco targets in
(53:48):
the last two weeks. That's more targets on the season
than DJ Moore, Jamison Williams, Calvin Ridley, Khalil Shakir, and
Kean Coleman in two weeks worth. Noting Sauce Gardner probably
not gonna play, but even if he does play, Chase
and saus had one matchup against each other in their career.
Chase went for six catches and he did score, but
(54:10):
only had twenty nine yards a grade for Chase Still,
Brandon Stevens figures to be on T Higgins, and he's
allowed three touchdowns in his coverage in a passer rating
of one twenty. By the way, Higgins has seen eighteen
targets in the last two weeks, so Higgins gets a beat.
Noah Fant saw one hundred percent of the tight end
(54:31):
targets for the Bengals in their win over Pittsburgh last week,
caught all four of them for forty four in a score.
Flacco has thrown a tight end touchdown in both of
his games as a Bengal, and the Jets have allowed
the second most tight end touchdowns in the league this year,
with six against them in seven games. If the volume
was higher, this would be a B grade, but we'll
stay with a C here and Chase Brown he gets
(54:53):
just a C grade. The Jets have actually done a
decent job against opposing runners in the last two weeks.
They basically stuffed the Broncos run game, and Rico Dowdell
and Chewba Hubbard piled up some yards but didn't score
last week. Brown hasn't scored since Week one, but he
did put up one hundred and eight rushing yards last week,
which was the first time he topped the fifty yard
(55:13):
mark on the year.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
So there's a glimmer of hope. But it's just a
C grade for Chase Brown.
Speaker 1 (55:18):
What do you think about buy and low on Chase
Brown right now? He looked resurgent.
Speaker 2 (55:25):
Man only in Dynasty.
Speaker 4 (55:26):
I think I think that offensive line is so diseased
right now that we gotta wait till next year for
Chase Brown to bounce back.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
I'll take the other side of it. I think I'm
buying low on Chase Brown. Pennies on the dollar. I
loved him going into the season. I overranked him, didn't
think the offensive line would be as bad.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
As it is.
Speaker 1 (55:42):
But Joe Bolflaco bringing competency to the quarterback position might
just unlock some productivity and Chase Brown we have not
seen to this point. When we come back Bo Nicks
coming off the best game of any quarterback all year
four touchdowns, can he go back to back when he
(56:03):
takes on the Cowboys this week? Find out when we
return to Fantasy Football Weekly. Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly.
(56:30):
This is a block of matchups and a lot of
letter grades coming, Beginning with the Cowboys taking on the Broncos.
Speaker 6 (56:36):
Let's go to the.
Speaker 1 (56:37):
Cowboys side first. I don't know if you guys have
heard this stat you probably already have. The Cowboys have
the number one offense by yards allowed, the number two
offense in the NFL. Is whoever's playing the Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (56:54):
Yes, unbelievable stat.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
I'm gonna start with the Cowboys passing game and George Pickens.
You know, even with Ceede Lamb returning last week, Pickens
remained heavily involved in the offense as an outside runner.
He's got a brutal matchup against Patrick Sirtan and Riley Moss.
Sir Tan, you know, is awesome. Riley Moss, you probably
don't know, has the lowest catch percentage in his coverage
(57:17):
of any cornerback in the NFL. This is the best
secondary in the NFL. The Broncos have allowed just one
wide receiver touchdown all year, and they're giving up the
fourth few s yards of the position. Pickens can always
win on contested catches, but other big bodied receivers have
struggled against Denver, and I'm including like Michael Pittman. AJ
Brown did very little, so I've only got a rare
(57:40):
C grade on the otherwise, very good George Pickens ceedee lamb.
I'm keeping him with an A grade because he can
run from the slot.
Speaker 2 (57:49):
Now. In fairness, he's only running.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
About one third of his routes from the slot, but
he can run from the slot a lot, and I
think they're going to run him there so they can
avoid Patrick Sartan and Riley Moss. Those guys don't travel
to the slot very often. A grade on CD lamp
ah ah. A grade on CD lamb.
Speaker 6 (58:08):
Wow, how's that?
Speaker 5 (58:11):
Not?
Speaker 3 (58:11):
Very convinced? If you had a plus or minus? Would
you throw it on there?
Speaker 2 (58:16):
I don't even know what that is. What do you mean?
Speaker 4 (58:17):
You don't know what pluses and minuses are never heard
of it? You never did like rudimentary math and school.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
They held me back in kindergarten. Okay, thirteen years That's
exactly what happened. Jake Ferguson is Dak Prescott's best route
to passing success.
Speaker 2 (58:35):
Last week, Giants tight.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
Ends combined for one hundred and fifty four yards against Denver.
Every opposing tight end with a pulse has posted a
Fantasy relevant game against the Broncos, and Ferguson leads all
tight ends in receptions and he has scored a whopping
six touchdowns in the last four games. Get this, Broncos
are seeing the deepest average tight end pass against them yards.
(59:01):
That would be great for Jake Ferguson, A grade for him.
How about Dak Prescott. Tough game against the defense that's
allowed the fewest passing touchdowns, but still think there's some
opportunity here. Jackson Dart and Jalen Hurts have thrown five
touchdowns over the past two weeks against Denver. Daniel Jones
Justin Herbert top three hundred yards against Denver. So we're
(59:22):
gonna keep Dak Prescott in our lineups with a B grade.
For the running game, it's all about Javonte Williams. The
Cowboys would love to simply run the ball for most
of this game. It's a pass of least resistance against
the Broncos, and Williams have been great just one dead
game all year, touchdowns in five of seven games. He's
averaging five point three yards per carry that is second
(59:43):
only to Bijon Robinson. The Broncos are a good run defense,
but they're not elite. Three different runners have topped fifty
receiving yards against the Broncos, and Javanti Williams can catch
a little bit, not a lot. He can catch a
little bit. He might chip in a few receptions for
you as well. We'll go be grade on Javonte Williams
in this matchup over to the Broncos side. Troy Franklin
(01:00:07):
was Matt's take a chance on me wide receiver. I've
got a B grade on him. I like him that much,
I alluded to Courtland Sutton. Everybody's feasting on this Dallas secondary,
but in particular, physical body control receivers have killed this
Dallas secondary.
Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
That includes Ted McMillan.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Two weeks ago, we called his first ever touchdown on
this show, and he actually rang the bell twice with
that one. So I'd love to know what's going on
with Dallas cornerback Trayvon Diggs. They said he had something
happen at home and he's in the concussion protocol, but
he's not like practicing and he's not with the team
this very There's something weird happening with Trayvon Diggs. Some
(01:00:49):
people think that this is a soft benching that he
has not accepted, and they've told him to stay home.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
We don't know what's going on there.
Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
Courtland Sutton's going to feast on this defense with without well,
it's gonna be without Treyvon Diags. Reminder, Dallas has allowed
the most wide receiver touchdowns, fourth most wide receiver yards.
As you were told to take a chance on me.
A grade for Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims even checking in
here is a deep dark throw for all the same
reasons that Matt gave for Troy Franklin.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
You could use Mims. He sees less time on the
field than Sutton or Franklin, but still usable here because
the Dallas secondary is so bad. Evan Ingram getting on
the field plenty. He's actually getting targeted plenty. But here's
where Evan Ingram is killing fantasy managers. It's all short receptions.
He ranks fortieth among tight ends in depth of target
(01:01:40):
at just three yards. You just can't fill a box
score on three yard catches. Dallas is an average tight
end defense. Ingram's lack of upside limits him to a
C grade in this matchup. And staying with the passing game,
let's go to Boonix. As I mentioned earlier, biggest game
of any quarterback all year for bon Nicks was last
(01:02:03):
week and it came on one.
Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
Quarter for a touchdown game to rushing to receiving. He
faces a Dallas defense that ranks dead last and passing
yards allowed, dead last in passing touchdowns allowed, dead last
in quarterback rushing yards allowed, and dead last in quarterback
rushing touchdowns allowed.
Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
That is an astounding level of ineptitude against quarterbacks.
Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
And Scott Fish has got a little bit more detail
on bon Nix.
Speaker 6 (01:02:28):
I like that throw.
Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
I was simply gonna mention that when at home like
he is this week, bon Nicks is averaging over two
point eight touchdowns per game. That's that's passing plus rushing combined,
but nearly three touchdowns a game at home. That's that's
an incredible amount.
Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
That is a fantastic for bon Nicks and an a
grade for Bone.
Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
If you take out his first two games as a rookie,
it's over three per game since.
Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
And you know he was just getting acclimated in the
league at that point. Yeah, jk Do is the last
Bronco to talk about. He's rushing at five yards per
carry and he's absolutely pinned r J. Harvey to the bench. Also,
the Cowboys have allowed the second most running back receptions
and the second most receiving yards and Dobbins he doesn't
catch a ton, but he could chip in a little
more help through the air.
Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
Here for you as well, B grade on J. K.
Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
Dobbins, Scott, let's go over to the forty nine ers
where Brock Purdy has been ruled out again. We've got
another mac Jones start on our hands.
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
Yeah, Mac Jones starting this game as one of the
lower over unders of the week. Mac Jones has had
a couple of decent games, but last week when he
faced Atlanta, who is the second toughest against fantasy passers,
they held mac Jones to one hundred and fifty two
yards and no scores. The Texans are the only team
ranked above those Falcons that they just played Houston, allowing
(01:03:48):
the fewest completions, attempts, passing scores, and second fewest passing
yards to opposing quarterbacks. I have Mac Jones on the bench.
He's going to be without Ricky Piersall as well, which
isn't gonna help his case. Kendrick Bourne and Juwan Jennings,
I also have them on the bench. Kendrick Bourne had
those two monster games. Then last week in the tough matchup,
(01:04:10):
followed it up with a complete two target dud. Juwan Jennings,
who's dealing with five broken ribs, a high ankle sprain
in a low ankle sprayed at shoulder injuries. It play
eighty five percent of the staffs a thirty percent target
chair last week, but he's been under thirty five total
yards in all but one game. He's just not getting
(01:04:30):
the yards, even though he's running a done of routes
out there, so he's on the bench. George Kittle last
week was the first time in his career that he
was fully healthy for a full game and went catchless.
He apologized to fantasy owners. Maybe there's a bounce back coming.
It's a tough matchup. The Texans have allowed the third
fewest receptions and yards to tight ends and have only
(01:04:51):
allowed one score to the position, and that was all
the way back in Week one. If there is upside here,
Kittle is light years better than any tight end the
text to have faced this year, and the two tight
ends that had five or more targets, which Kittle generally gets,
went four for forty two and six for sixty one,
which I'll take on six bye weeks from the tight
end position. So I'm gonna give a B grade to
(01:05:14):
George Kittle here. He might be the lone bright spot
in that pass game other than the past game work
that Christian McCaffrey does. Because the offense basically runs through him.
They're giving him I should look it up. I think
they're giving him about forty seven touches per game at
least that's what it feels like when I watch the games.
Speaker 6 (01:05:33):
It's constant to him.
Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
The Texans aren't allowing much through the air, allowing eighteen
yards per game through the air to bas but no
one they faces anywhere near McCaffrey's pass catching level, though.
But you should temper expectations because this is a tough
matchup here. It is an automata that I'm giving him.
But only Bucky Irving top seventy rushing yards and he's
(01:05:55):
the only one also to top seventy five Comboy yards. Again,
McCaffrey better than all the other running backs the Texans
have faced so far on the Houston side c J.
Speaker 6 (01:06:07):
Stroud.
Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
Teams have been able to get to Stroud disrupt his game,
and he's had a lot of game out bad games
because of that. But the forty nine Ers have the
lowest pressure rate in the league, fewest QB knockdowns, fifth
lowest hurry rate, second lowest splitz rate, and second fewest sacks.
They're getting no pressure on the quarterback and they just
lost Fred Warner. That Texans o line is terrible, and
(01:06:29):
they're so bad that the forty nine Ers might accidentally
stumble into some pressure.
Speaker 6 (01:06:34):
But c J.
Speaker 3 (01:06:36):
Stroud has been mid two hundreds for over the for
the last three games. He has seven scores in that span. Similarly,
in the last three games, the forty nine Ers have
allowed an average of two hundred and ninety five passing
yards and two scores per game over the last three.
So I'm gonna give c. J. Stroud a C grade,
even though he's missing his top two receivers. I think
he'll spread it around just enough to get some work done.
(01:06:59):
Xavier Hutchinson, I'm throwing on the bench. He doesn't have
more than four targets in any game. He's playing a
ton of stamps, but he gets the tougher matchup against
Diamadoor Lenore Jenden Higgins also on the bench. He's getting
that Ronaldo Green matchup. One of them might hit Hutchinson,
might get a touchdown. I think there's some points to
be had here. I just don't know where it's gonna
come from. Jalen Noel is my top pick. He was
(01:07:22):
might take a chance on me. Player Dalton Schultz has
been limited in practice all week. They think he's gonna go.
He played hurt last week. Five of his ten targets
came after Nico left. He caught nine of his ten
targets last week. He has at least five catches in
four straight but hasn't scored all year. Tatum Bethune, who
is replacing Fred Warner in the middle of that defense.
(01:07:45):
That linebacker when he covers, when he covers apponysing tight ends,
He's allowed to catch on every single target this year.
Speaker 6 (01:07:54):
Wow, Dalton yep.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
But Tatum Bethune is very good against the run, bad
against the so there might be room for Ted. Dalton
Schultz C grade there, and finally a C grade on
Woody Marx. I'm keeping Chubb on the bench. Marx has
led the backfield to the last three weeks, and the
one he didn't was that thirty point blow where Chubb
got more work and just was super inefficient with it.
(01:08:17):
He also gets more receiving work. Forty nine Ers middle
of the pack, middle of the pack against running backs,
but again lost Fred Warner and their bottom five against
receiving backs. And that's more of Marx's game than Chubbs.
So if they look to exploit the running game, it's
gonna be through Mark. So just barely a C grade there.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Final matchup of this segment is Packers taking on the Steelers.
Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
Matt.
Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
You know, we rolled into the season hoping that we'd
have a little more clarity on the Packers wide receiver situation,
like somebody would emerge as the go to receiver. That
really hasn't happened this year, and once again it feels
like the most reliable Packers receiver is their tight end
by a fair margin right now.
Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
Yeah, Tucker Craft is getting an A grade in this
one for me. Pittsburgh allowing the eighth most receiving yards
to tight ends and they've allowed four different tight ends
to top ten PPR points and that includes Hunter Henry
having a massive eight catch, ninety yard two touchdown game.
That seems like a legit ceiling for Craft in this one.
(01:09:19):
The other a grade. On the Packer's side, Josh Jacobs
was limited with a calf injury all week. They expect
him to go. He scored twice in three straight weeks
and has scored a touchdown in fourteen of his last
fifteen games. It's a tougher test this week against the Steelers,
but Pittsburgh is allowing four point five yards per carry,
so Jacobs is still an a. Let's talk those wide
(01:09:40):
receivers now. Matthew Golden and Romeo Dobbs are the guys
you want to play. Christian Watson told reporters that he
plans to play Sunday night, though, and he'll just replace
Dontavian Wicks, who will not play on Sunday Night. The
Steelers have allowed the fifth most receptions in the eighth
most yards to wide receivers, so how does this shake out.
Dobbs has been and the clear wide receiver won this season,
(01:10:02):
and he's led the wide receiver room in targets each
of the last three weeks. But I got a gut
feeling here. We haven't seen the Matthew Golden game yet.
He hasn't scored yet. He catches almost everything thrown at him,
and he's seen eight designed runs in the last five games.
Plus wouldn't it be cosmically correct for Golden, the first
(01:10:22):
round wide receiver draft pick which Aaron Rodgers sorely wanted
to have his coming out party against Rogers on Sunday
Night Football.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
I'm still gonna give Dobbs a B.
Speaker 4 (01:10:32):
Golden gets a seed, but I've got a good feeling
about him. Now, let's talk the two quarterbacks, which is
really the story of this game. Jordan Love has his
first matchup against Aaron Rodgers, and I got to think
Matt Lafleur and the whole organization are keenly aware that
it's pretty important for Love to look dominant in this one,
because frankly, Rodgers has looked pretty good this year. Love
(01:10:53):
hasn't thrown a ton this year, though four of his
six games have seen him throw twenty nine or fewer passes.
The two games he's thrown thirty or more passes have
turned out very well for him two ninety two and two,
three point thirty seven and three. The matchup, forer Love
is good. It's easier to pass on the Steelers than run.
Pittsburgh opponents average thirty nine pass attempts per game and
(01:11:16):
two hundred ety two yards, So it's an A grade
for Jordan Love. Now the other side, Aaron Rodgers. He's
totally a guy who wouldn't want any kind of revenge
on this team that let him walk, even though he
stated earlier this week that he intends to sign a
one day contract at the end of his career and
retire a Packer. But he's had this game circled all year.
I mentioned Rogers has been good. Only Matthew Stafford has
(01:11:38):
more touchdown passes per game this year than Aaron Rodgers.
A lot of his passes have been the short variety, though,
but that works pretty well against green Bay. The Packers
have seen the eighth most passing attempts and the sixth
most completions against them this year, and they only have
two picks. It's a lot of short, dink and dunk stuff.
Five of the last six quarterbacks to face Green Bay
(01:12:00):
have had multiple touchdown passes. It's an A grade for
Aaron Rodgers too. Dk Metcalf gets an A grade as well.
He's had double digit PPR points in every game but
won this year, and have scored a touchdown in four
or five and Alpha wide receivers have done well against
Green Bay. Jamar Chase Pickens without CD Debo without Terry
all had huge games. By the way, Calvin Austin was
(01:12:22):
seen practicing this week and he might play. I wouldn't
start him, though, It's gonna be tough in a night
game to trust that.
Speaker 5 (01:12:29):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:12:29):
The tight end position, Darnell Washington, John new Smith, and
pat Tyermuth all get C grades.
Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
Oh, Howard Board, I'm not a coward. They're almost equal.
Speaker 4 (01:12:42):
The Steelers play the fourth most twelve personnel in the league.
That's two tight ends, and they play the most thirteen personnel.
Sixteen percent of the players have all three of their
tight ends on the field. Each of these guys had
at least sixty three percent of the snaps last week,
and each was targeted five or six times.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Each scored a touchdown.
Speaker 4 (01:13:01):
Friarmuth was the one with a huge day, but Washington
has led the tight end room in Fantasy points in
the prior two weeks, and John who did the prior
three weeks before that, laporta Ertz, Ferguson McBride all put
up great days against this defense in a six team
bye week with a bunch of good tight ends out.
I feel like you can throw a dart at any
of the tight ends. Here's how I like him though,
(01:13:21):
Friarmuth first, Washington, next, John U.
Speaker 6 (01:13:25):
Last, what grade did you give to Connor Hayward?
Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
He did not get one. But we do have to
talk about the Pittsburgh running backs. This is a thorny matchup.
Jalen Warren gets to see Kenny Gainwells on the bench.
Warren was a belcow last week with twenty touches, and
the Packers have been tough against the run this year,
but running backs who've had at least nineteen touches against
them have gone pretty well. Judkins had ninety five combo
yards in a score. Javante had one hundred combo yards
(01:13:50):
in a score. End of list. So if Warren gets
the volume, he's a pretty decent play in this game.
Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
I think Warren has looked really, really good.
Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Yeah, I've been shocked at his level play, really solid
output from.
Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
Him so far.
Speaker 1 (01:14:04):
Darnold Washington is my new move over John new Smith.
Darnold Washington is so much fun. Brumbleedrodd six foot seven
three and forty pounds.
Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
Oh man, he is a blast to watch. Love that guy.
Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
When we come back, we've only got one matchup left,
Commander's taking on the Chiefs on Monday Night Football, but
will also give you three players premature speculation. Will jump
into the Fantasy Football Weekly time machine when we come back.
Speaker 2 (01:14:32):
After this.

Speaker 1 (01:15:49):
We'll identify three players you should pick up now that
other people will be trying to pick up later, but
they're already on your team.
Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
We begin with Scott Fish.
Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Devin Neil. Can do everything, pass, catch,
pass block. He was a real well rounded pat prospect
coming out. Immediately jumps into that backup role. With Kendrey
Miller's injury, coaching staff said they do want to work
him in, get him some get him some more work.
Miller had touched. Kendre Miller had touchcounts of nine to eleven,
(01:16:19):
eleven and nine in the four games prior to his injury.
There has been room for a second back as Kamaras
load has gotten lighter, as he's been really, really inefficient
and just pretty much bad this year. It wouldn't shock
me if Devin Neil starts to work into that ten
plus touch role here at the end of the season.
Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
I'm a big fan of Devin Neil.
Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
I talked about him in the preseason because I thought
he was going to bypass Kendrey Miller and he was
going to be the number two. Turned out, Kendry Miller
was putting together a career year. Devin Neil the footwork,
he's slippery, he can catch, He might be better than
Alvin Kamara right now, based on what we were talking
about earlier in this show about Alvin.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
Kamer cooked status.
Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
Yeah, all right, let's go to Matt Harrison, your premature
speculation player.
Speaker 4 (01:17:06):
My guy might have been dropped, but you might have
to trade for him. I don't think it's gonna cost
you very much to get him, though. It's Kyle Pitts.
He's tight end number eighteen right now. I don't think
there's very many true believers in Kyle Pitts left. He's
only scored once this year. He did get targeted ten
times last week seven for sixty two against San Francisco.
(01:17:28):
But I want you to pick him up because the
next six weeks Kyle Pitts plays a bottom eleven tight
end defense six times jeez. After that he's got two
neutral matchups, and then in your fantasy semi finals in
week sixteen, he gets a terrible Arizona tight end defense.
(01:17:49):
So seven bottom eleven tight end matchups in the next
nine weeks. The matchups are just groovy for him. So
I think you should go try to get Kyle Pitts
right now.
Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
The beauty about trading for Kyle Pitts right now is
half of the league's already been burned and burned badly
on Kyle Pitts and want nothing to do with him,
vowed to never roster him again, so there's never an
expensive market on Kyle Pitts. Yeah, I'm also giving a
premature speculation.
Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
Tight end.
Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
My guy was mentioned earlier and I was surprised. He
even came up tip of the hat to Scott Fish
gunner Helm. Who is gunner Helm that you're asking? He
is the tight end for Tennessee. This is probably a
dynasty stash play. Really, I think this is somebody you're
gonna have to be patient with. This is the rookie
tight end Titans. He will grow into this role with
(01:18:43):
rookie quarterback cam Ward. His playing time is starting to
pull even with chigakonk Wu. Over the past three weeks,
gunner Helm is within ten percent of Chiggs playing time.
He's coming off a game with career highs in targets,
catches in yards like that little gunner action in the background,
and since week five, gunner Helm is sixth among all
(01:19:07):
tight ends in targets per route run and he's fourteenth
and eight out. They're using him downfield Plus, gunner Helm's
got the best NFL name since Mac Strong for him,
Lynn Dickey, this is a it's a great I just
want I just want gunner Helm, a guy named gunner
Helm on my Dynasty team.
Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
Yeah, we'll consider him. All right.
Speaker 1 (01:19:30):
We've got one matchup left, and that is the Commander's
taking on the Chiefs. This is the Monday Night game.
Let's talk it through. There's some moving parts here we'll
have to work with, as mondays, we'll have some time.
Let's start with to Corey Krofsky Merit. I think this
game script turns against Bill really quickly. He doesn't catch
and if the Commanders are down early JA Cory Krofsky
(01:19:50):
Merritt could have a serious volume problem. And we've seen
this happen a lot in recent weeks. Ashton genty just
six carries against the Chiefs, Travis Etn just twelve carries,
Derrick Henry just eight carries. Cam Scattabu just ten carries
against the Chiefs. None of them scored. If there weren't
(01:20:11):
six teams on buy, I'd be giving Bill a bench grade.
But as it stands with the six teams on by,
I'm gonna give him a seat in the hope that
he's productive early in the game before the Chiefs run
away with this one, or that maybe Bill gets a
goal line carry, although Chris Rodriguez got a goal line
carry last week, so we don't know for sure that
he'd even get that goal line carry. C grade on
(01:20:31):
Jacorey Krossky Merrit. Let's go over to the passing game.
No Jaden Daniels. Unfortunately, it's gonna be Marcus Mariota. In
Mariota's two full games, he's been quarterback six, which is good,
quarterback seventeen not bad, and he gets a C grade
here even with a dearth of healthy receivers because he
can run. In those two earlier starts, Mariota ran the
(01:20:53):
ball sixteen times for one hundred yards and a touchdown.
I expect him to have very little success to the Frankly,
the Chiefs just obliterated Geno Smith and the average quarterback
output against Kansas City since Week two, average game horrible.
One hundred and fifty eight passing yards and zero point
seven touchdowns against Kansas City. This defense is rounding.
Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
Into super Bowl form. That is nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:21:19):
So Mariota's got to run a little bit. He probably
will C grade for him. All right, Let's go to
the receivers, beginning at the tight end position and zach Ertz.
He has scored in consecutive games, undoubtedly aided by the
fact that Washington's out of these wide receiver injuries. But
I think Deebo, Samuel and Terry McLaurin are gonna come back.
And Ertz is really not all that productive for the
(01:21:39):
past five weeks, averaging just twenty eight passing yards. Kansas
City's a really good tight end defense. Only one is scored,
none of top fifty five yards, barely a C grade
for zach Ertz in this game. Let's go to Deebo Samuel,
expected to play through his heel injury. If you're counting
on Samuel, pick up Chris Moore is your emergency pivot
(01:22:00):
Eamiel might get some shadow coverage from Trent McDuffie, who's
one of the few cornerbacks who travels left, right and slot.
Almost nobody does that. Trent McDuffie does, and he's really good.
He's allowing an average of just three catches for twenty
three yards per game in his coverage. If he's going
to pick up Deebo Samuel, which is exactly how I
would use him, by the way, that would be trouble
(01:22:21):
for Samuel. Just a C grade with Marcus Mariota throwing
him the ball. Terry McLaurin should return from his month
long quad injury. He runs more than any one player.
He runs on one side of the field, the left side.
He faces an excellent cornerback there that goes on the
right side of the Kansas City defense. That's Jalen Watson,
who hasn't allowed a touchdown all year, and he only
(01:22:43):
gave up one all last year. Watson's giving up a
tiny fifty six percent catch rate in his coverage. The
commander is going to have to pass a lot because
they're going to be trailing in this game, and volume
can help McLaurin. But I can only give you a
C grade with Marcus Mariota at the helm. All right,
let's go over to the lee side. As mentioned, possible
slaughter incoming here. Kansas City's a twelve and a half
(01:23:04):
point favorite. I'll note that they will probably be without
left tackle Josh Simmons, who's expected to miss this game
due to a family issue. Jalen Moore is the fill in.
He did find last week in that role. I want
to start with the running game and Isaiah Pacheco. We
talked about him earlier in the show. I said he
was a bi low candidate. Still think that here we
are an hour later. Still agree with myself. He's been
(01:23:24):
playing a lot later, including scoring his first rushing touchdown
of the season last week. He's back to running with
his trademark aggressiveness, which is hard to quantify metrically, but
just eye test, he looks really good and he's getting volume.
His two highest volume games have been the last two weeks.
The last two runners to face Washington, Javonte Williams and
(01:23:47):
DeAndre Swift, both had huge games. Isaiah Pacheco be great.
I this is the most confidence I've had on him
all year.
Speaker 6 (01:23:55):
So you're gonna have to buy him low now.
Speaker 2 (01:23:58):
You might want to buy that's right immediately, Do not wait.
Speaker 6 (01:24:01):
On y We have it there too.
Speaker 3 (01:24:03):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:24:04):
Burshard Smith saw a huge uptick in usage last week,
but it's unclear how much that was because Kareem Hunt
got injured in that game, but hopefully it's going to
continue to get playing time and if this is a slaughter,
like a lot of people, think there's some garbage time
prospects for Smith. He caught five passes last week. That's
a career high. He has notched at least three catches
(01:24:24):
in four straight games and Bershard Smith gets a C
grade in this game. Rasie Rice, as hoped last week,
right back to being the focal point of the Chiefs offense.
I see no reason to believe that's going to change.
He is an easy A grade. Xavier Worthy with Rice
back last week, saw a small box score. It was
(01:24:45):
likely because of the Chiefs blowout over the Raiders, and
this could be a blowout too, and so there's a
little bit of concern for that with Worthy. But know this,
even with Rice back, Worthy did not see any downtick
in terms of snaps or usage starting him, especially against
a very inconsistent Washington secondary E grade for him. As
(01:25:05):
for Juju Smith, Schuster, and Hollywood Brown, they are drop candidates.
Those two are the guys that suffered from Rashee Rice
coming back last week. Their snaps routes were basically cut
in half. They both have bench grades here. And then
there's Travis Kelcey. In the past two years, Kelsey and
Rashi Rice have played four games together. And here's what's
(01:25:27):
happened to Kelsey. Three catches thirty four yards, no touchdowns.
That's a first game. Second game, one catch, five yards,
no touchdowns. Third game for Kelsey four catches thirty yards,
no touchdowns. And then Kelsey re catches fifty four yards,
no touchdowns. Kelsey gets court by Rashie Rice vacuuming up
(01:25:51):
all those high value middle of the field receptions that
Kelsey normally gets.
Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
That was good in this game.
Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
And then Patrick mall is my highest graded passer out
of the entire slate this week, obvious A grade.
Speaker 2 (01:26:05):
I love him here, as I mentioned, I like all
of his receivers quite a bit. All right, guys.
Speaker 1 (01:26:11):
That leaves us with this as with just about one
minute left, Jordan Mason three absolute clunker games with Aaron Jones.
How do you feel, Scott fish about his prospects Jordan
Mason with Aaron Jones in this duelback.
Speaker 3 (01:26:30):
I'm not liking either of those backs prospects. The way
the offensive line is banged up and injured right now
and the way the team is playing, I think they're
gonna be at best flex plays for the remainder of
the season until things shape back.
Speaker 7 (01:26:45):
Up at best.
Speaker 1 (01:26:48):
I think we're looking at a lot of C grades
for Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones, and maybe even convention
grades sprinkled in there as well.
Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
Unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (01:26:56):
