Speaker 1 (00:01):
Time now for Fantasy Football Weekly from iHeartRadio, your weekly
source for the nation's best fantasy speculation and advice.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Now here's your host, Paul Chargian.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Welcome to Fantasy Football Weekly. I am Paul Charchian. My
co host today Thor Nstrom and making his first appearance
in two months.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Brian Johnson, you are back, my man.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
What's up? Boys, Good to be here. I've missed you.
You missed you a lot.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I've I've been thinking about both of you a lot
this week because and not to start this offen in
any way a Maudlin approach, because this is a fantasy football,
a game that we love to play, but you have
both lost parents recently. My parents came and visited me
in Utah, and I was thinking of you both. There
is no age at which I'm in my fifties, there

(00:55):
is no age at which you do not crave your parents' approval.
And having my parents come down see me in Utah,
tell me that they love the house and how Utah
is and you know, the scenery, it was just it
meant so much, and I felt bad that you both
have lost parents recently and you were on my mind
this week.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I wanted to tell you that at the outset, we
appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yeah, charge, thanks a lot and the kind words you
said towards the end of the episode a couple of
weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
It means a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
But yeah, Thora's mom was a legend behind the mic,
just like he is. My dad, a legendary fantasy player.
I've taken over one of his leagues with It's still
all pen and paper. It's a huge pain in my ass,
but I'm still doing it. It's a retro. It's retro
as you can get.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
And you know what, this show's thirty one years old.
That's as retro as it gets too.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
And we're going to bring you all the stuff that
you normally get from Fantasy Football Weekly. We'll take a
chance on nine different players. We'll answer three tough questions,
we'll give you some premature speculation players, and will break
down every game FFW style with letter grades on every player.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
We begin with the London game.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Brian no Pooka Nakua for the Rams as they take
on Jacksonville. Let's start with the passing game without the
league's leading receiver.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
More importantly, no Colin mccochney for this London game. They're
just gonna do the old USA accident or whatever it is.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, no Puoka, big bummer.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
But DeVante Adams certainly a viable wide receiver one he
gets an A grade here. Leads the NFL with thirteen
red zone targets. Jacksonville is top three in opponent passing
play percentage, and they have allowed the fourth most catches
and third most yards to wide receivers. So in a
grade for Devonte Adams. Jordan Whittington is gonna step in.

(02:46):
Let's not step in for Pooka Nakua. I'm giving him
a B first, just I was just gonna see it's
Jordan Whittington, but I like, I like the matchup. Devanta
Adams is gonna draw a ton of attention. Sough A
B for Jordan Whittington to to ad Well, he's DFS
start to me, he can't give him a starting grade here.
I am giving Tyler Higbee a see over the last
five weeks of posing tight ends or averaging six catches

(03:07):
sixty yards per game against the Jags, who have also
surrendered a tight end touchdown and two of their last three.
So I like all those pass catchers. So a B
for Matt Stafford. Obviously, no Puka sucks, but the Jaguars
have allowed three hundred plus passing yards endoor multiple scores
in three straight games, and they are a pass funnel defense.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
For that reason, I'm only given Kyron Williams a see
the last ram.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
I'll talk about at least eighty combo yards end or
a touchdown in every game, so he's providing a safe floor.
Does have spike week potential, especially when he's on fumbling
at the goal line, but probably not this week and
not the best spot.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
No.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
One loan rusher has topped sixty yards on the ground
against the Jags. Only one back has scored a rushing
touchdown on them. That was Kareem Hunt, who actually had two.
But opposing backs are averaging six catches per game over
Jacksonville's last three against the Jaguars, so that bodes well
for william You're not gonna bench in he gets a
c over to the Jaguar side, starting with their back

(04:05):
Travis etn A c for him was red hot in September,
but over the last two weeks three point one seven
yards per carry. That's RB thirty six, a zero point
zero percent explosive rush rate.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Zero forced misstackles over the last.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Two weeks, but he Etn did see two tough run
defenses over that span, Kansas City and Seattle. Sadly, this
is not a great matchup either. Zero rushing touchdowns allowed
to running backs by the Rams so far. Just one
receiving touchdown has been surrendered to the position. That was
Christian McCaffrey, who's targeted nine times in that game.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Oh okay nine times.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
So just a c for Travis Etn to the passing
game though. Brian Thomas Junior BTJ he gets an A
posted a thirty seven percent First Street target share in
week six. That is elite. Unfortunately had a touchdown callback
on penalty as well. We should have had a monster game.
He has now posted a first three target share north

(05:05):
of thirty five percent in two of his last three games.
Big games are coming for BTJ, and it's probably gonna
come this week against the Rams. Outside of last week
in Baltimore, and that was with Cooper Rush in bad weather,
opposing number one wide receivers have posted one hundred plus
yards end or a touchdown in three straight. That's Kendrick Bourne,
Michael Pittman, and AJ Brown. I like BTJ the most

(05:26):
amongst those three, so I like him with an A.
I don't like Travis Hunter, especially in this three IDP league.
I'm in where I drafted him in the second round,
where I could play him at cornerback. Think he was
a cheat code wide receiver seventy four in PPR right now,
and you don't get a lot of points from cornerbacks either.
Usually want to play a safety in that spot. So
I got him on the bench. A big game's probably coming,

(05:49):
but when it comes, he's gonna be on the bench
for me. You can't trust him right now. Can't trust
Parker Washington or Diami Brown. They're on the bench. So
is Hunter long tight end with Brenton Strange on IR,
I thought he was the guy last week in a
smash spot saw too much Johnny Munt kind of a
split there. And lastly Trevor Lawrence. This is my stickiest
matchup by the way. Jalen Hurts, Daniel Jones, Mac Jones,

(06:12):
great games against the Rams, CJ. Stroud, cam Ward and
the Baltimore backups.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Bad games. Which group do we put Trevor Lawrence in?
I'm kind of.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Throwing right between. Yes, I'll give Lawrence a C. I'm
hoping for a shootout here in London, so I'll give
him a C. And that is it for this.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
A lot more on Travis Hunter later in this show.
We'll break down what to think about him going forward.
We'll talk that through in just a few minutes. Surprise
C grade for Kyried Williams coming out of Brian. I
don't know if I can go quite that low on him,
but we'll see how that plays out. For Let's go
over to Indianapolis taking on the Chargers. Josh Downs has

(06:49):
been ruled out. Ashton Dulan's been ruled out. That means
we could have some extra passes funneling to some other players,
including Tyler Warren, who I think is sitting on potentially
a monster g. Let's start with the passing offense for
the Colts.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
I definitely agree with that.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Tyler Warren is a must start with an A gray
and already leads the team in targets and first reads.
He's gonna get plenty more targets in this game as well.
Makes him a smash play. One other thing I mentioned
about Tyler Warren. Chargers play zone coverage roughly eighty percent
of the time. Tyler Warren very very good against zone
coverage so far in his young career. Moving to the
quarterback there, Daniel Jones also give him an A. Daniel

(07:25):
Jones has finished as a top twelve scoring fantasy quarterback
in four of six games this season.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
This is a tougher matchup for him. You have to
concede it.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
The Chargers are allowing the third fewest schedule adjusted fantasy
points to opposing quarterbacks, but still bullish in Daniel Jones.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Give him an A.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
I like this offense. Jonathan Taylor is a must start.
Of course, the Chargers their run defense has been struggling
their bottom eight yards per carry en success rate allowed,
so Jonathan Taylor remains must start. Josh Doallins is out
for this game, as Churchy mentioned, because of a concussion,
which means Michael Pittman is also in line for more

(08:01):
targets in this game wide receiver twenty two and fantasy
points per game. Michael Pittman to this point, he was
less involved the last two weeks cumulative receiving line in
those two games seven catches for fifty nine yards and
a touchdown on nine targets. He is going to get
that target bump with Josh Doowns out. So I'm gonna
give Michael Pittman a b Alec Pierce I would say

(08:22):
standard Lee's remained on the bench, but if you are
desperate within lieu of that downs news, he could be
potentially startable, but I'm gonna give him the bench grade
move into the chargers justin Herbert, of course, remains a
must start.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
He's going to continue to carry.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
Your moments part of that offense with Omarki Hampton out
and we'll get to the running back room there in
a second. The Colts also have beat up in the secondary.
They just allowed three hundred and seventy five passing earns
three touchdowns last time out. Kamani Vidal, I'm gonna give
him a bee, my boy, Kamani Vidal final man.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I had to wait for that one, but we finally
got it last week.

Speaker 5 (08:56):
Then we one year later, one year later, Yeah, with
Omar and Hampton and Nadre Harris continue still on ir.
It's gonna be Vidal again here. We weren't sure heading
into last week. You gon to go Haskins, you gonna
go Vidal. Vadal was the clear workhorse there. He finished
with twenty one touches last week, one hundred and thirty
eight total yards finished as Fantasy's RB nine for last week,

(09:18):
ended up playing sixty seven percent of the snaps and
at eighteen of twenty four carries for the running back room.
Now that was against the Dolphins, you know, about as
worse as you can get for a run defense.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Colts a little bit better.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Dy've allowed the eighth few as fantasy points per game
to the running back position. So I settled on a
bee for Kamani Vidal. I also give Lad mcconky a bee.
Finally had his breakout game. We didn't have to wait
quite as long for Ladd mcconkey's, but his first one
at twenty twenty five, he lights up the Dolphins for
seven catches, one hundred yards and a touchdown last week.

(09:51):
With Quinton Johnston out Quinton Johnson coming back here, but
with Lad McConkey establishing himself, I still like him for
a be, especially against the Colts here, who have allowed
the second most schedule adjusted Fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
I give Keenan Allen a B.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
I thought it was interesting the usage with Quinton Johnson
out last week Keenan Allen has continued to get seven
or more targets in every single game.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
These usage didn't change whatsoever with Quinton Johnson out.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
So with Quinton Johnston back to me, that's it doesn't
matter his Keenan Allen's role is what it is. And again,
a pretty good matchup here with Quinton Johnson, you know,
seemingly looking like he is going to play in this game,
but us not exactly knowing, you know, will he play
full snaps everything like that. I'm gonna give Quinton Johnson
a C for this matchup because I'm kind of leaning

(10:40):
some of the other options with Quinton Johnson working his
way back and one of those options.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Maybe boys are gonna think this is too bullish.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
What do you think about a beat grade for Ronda
Gadson in this one?

Speaker 4 (10:51):
That does seem a little optimistic.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Look, I know there's some there's some gonna be some
good underlying metrics here, but we've seen with will Disley
coming back, we have seen a slightly diminished snap for
Ronde Gadsten.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
We could toggle this one to a see with Quinton
Johnson see you know again seemingly is going to play
this weekend but I do like Gadson caught seven of
eight targets for sixty at receiving yards last week, finishes
tight end twelve in fantasy. You know here against Indian
naw Boys, they've allowed the tenth most receiving yards.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Two tight ends.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
But with Quinton Johnson back again, you have a lot
of moles defeat. So I'll toggle that down to a
sea for Gadson.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
If you bought early on Lad McConkie, who had struggled
through the first part of the season so much better lately.
Johnston goes out last week, McConkie gets.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
A big game.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
What it'll be interesting to see with Quinton Johnston back,
does Lad McConkie stay as active as he was last week?
Philadelphia takes on Minnesota. Let's start on the Philadelphia side
for Jalen Hurts a grade as usual. Minnesota's pass defense
great on paper and maybe in reality, but they've also
faced arguably the easiest set of opposing quarterbacks this year,

(11:55):
So unclear if Minnesota is really a stopper pass defense,
you're gonna start jailing anyway. You get your Jach pushes
and you'll play him anyhow. Aj Brown's fascinating. Only one
receiver has posted a good game against Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
It was DK Metcalf.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Nobody is Metcalf's physical equal, but Aj Brown's pretty close
to that. The Vikings two starting cornerbacks are small, and
then when they go to their third cornerback, the bigger
Jeff Okuda, well, he's just awful in coverage. He's cornerback
one hundred and forty two by Pro Football Focus. In coverage,
he's allowing a one hundred percent completion rate in his coverage.

(12:33):
So Brown can win on size against the Vikings starter cornerbacks,
or they can just he can win on ability against
Jeff Okuda. So one way or another, I've got a
B grade on Aj Brown, who's been fed the ball
more lately for DeVante Smith. This gets really interesting as well,
because you know, here's Smith. He's scored in just one game.
He's top sixty yards in just one game. They'd love

(12:54):
to get him some spike work here, but he's gonna
get a lot of star cornerback Isaiah Rogers, He's Pro
Football Focus is number one ranked coverage cornerback.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Now.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Brian Flores rarely asks his cornerbacks to shadow, but if
there's ever a time to do it, it's right here.
Because he's too small for a J Brown, John Dotson
does is no threat. I'd love to see how Isaiah
Rodgers follow Davonte Smith round, and because of the threat
of that, I'm gonna put just a C grade on
Devonte Smith. Dallas Godder comes in with a B grade.

(13:27):
He leads all tight ends and touchdowns with five despite
missing a game, and over the past two weeks he's
been pelted with twenty targets. Last week, Minnesota allowed two
touchdowns to Dylan Gabriel's tight ends and Gabriel's first ever start.
So I like Dallas Goddard here, who comes in with
a B grade. Saquon Barkley such a disappointing season. I'm

(13:51):
gonna give you some stats among runbacks with at least
fifty carries, so there's like starting running backs. Here is
where Saquon Barkley ranks. Rushing yards twenty second, yards per carry,
thirtieth yards before contact, twenty third yards after contact, thirtieth,
avoided tackle rate thirty first. This is Saquon Barkley we're

(14:14):
talking about. This is the reigning offensive Player of the Year,
ranking in the twenties and thirties and all these key
rushing metrics, it is obviously you're going to start him.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Minnesota's run defenses middle of the pack.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
They've shut The only running back that they've really shut
down has been Chase Brown and in recent weeks, but
John Robinson, Kenneth Gainwell, Quinjohn Judkins big games in three
of the last four. Landon Dickerson may or may not
come back, we still don't know yet. On the offensive line,
b great for Saquon Barkley. Over to the Viking side
where Carson Wentz is your confirmed starter. Justin Jefferson remains

(14:49):
in auto A and he's been far better with Wentz
than he was with JJ McCarthy, so we're just.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Gonna put him right back into your lineup.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
For Jordan Addison, I worry that he's going to be
sacrificed to the side of the field that Quinyon Mitchell plays,
because that puts Justin Jefferson on the other side of
the field where a Dory Jackson is. He's Pro Football
focuses one hundred and seventh best cornerback. Jefferson would just
destroy that matchup. So I'm a little bit worried that
Addison's gonna get hung out to dry on the wrong

(15:19):
side of the field because Quinyon Mitchell's really good. So
just a C grade on Jordan Addison in this one.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
For TJ. Hockinson.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
Vikings offensive line is getting healthier, so maybe we won't
have to stay in and chip quite as much.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Over the last two games, TJ.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Hockinson, who has been forced to chip, has had a
dots of just four yards in one yard. It is
hard to get anything done when you're catching the ball
just four and one yard downfield. The Eagles are the
third best fantasy defense against tight ends. Only one tight
end has scored a touchdown against Philly, only one is
top thirty three yards. It's a tricky matchup. I don't
love Hockinson here, especially if it turns out right tackle

(15:57):
Brian O'Neill can't go, and that's currently unknown, then we're
back to chipping with TJ.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Hopkinson C grade.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
For him and rounding out the passing game for Minnesota,
Carson Wentz's he will be your starter Philadelphia. Overall, very
good pass defense, especially if Jalen Carter can come back.
As of this taping on Friday, that is still unclear.
Four of six opposing quarterbacks to face Philadelphia have n't
even topped to one hundred and ninety six yards, so

(16:25):
I don't see a ton of upside here for Carson Wentz,
but should be good enough that you could start him
in like super flex leagues as your second guy. Bason
another opportunity to be the lead back for the Vikings.
Cam Scattabo just destroyed the Eagles run defense last week,
but again that was without Jaalen Carter in the middle.
We don't know if he's gonna go. Last year, the
Eagles defense was awesome. This year shockingly mundane. When we

(16:48):
come back, take a chance on me nine players that
you can take a chance on. Many of these guys
available on the waiver wire. We'll tell you who they
are when we return to Fantasy Football week.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Take a chance.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
This is your chance to find nine players upon whom
you can.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
Take a chance. I'll take a chance. I mean we
begin at the quarterback position and Trian Johnson.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
I got CJ. Stroud at Seattle, who is top ten
in the most passing yards and passing touchdowns allowed. It's
the bad top ten for Seattle, the good top ten
for CJ.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Stroud.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
The Seahawks also fourth an opponent passing play percentage, and
their entire secondary is questionable. Yet again, both starting safeties
and cornerbacks in danger of missing this game one hundred
percent if they play.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
So I like CJ.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Stroud on Monday Night against Darnold in my Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
All right, let's go over to Thor. Your take a
chance on me.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Quarterback Thor is Dylan Gabriel against oh in.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
The Weather game. No less? Okay, yeah, and you know
Weather Game.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
He's finished QB nineteen, QB twenty seven and weekly scoring.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
But this is a sneaky good matchup.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
To use Gabriel if you're desperate or in a super
flex league. Dolphins defense is horrible as we all know,
and I'm pretty confident Quinn sewn Jukins is going to
keep that Browns offense on schedule. Should pave the road
to multiple trips, several trips maybe into the red zone
for potential TD opportunities. That Dolphins have allowed the second
most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season through six weeks.

(18:45):
They turned Daniel Jones into the QB two, They turned
Drake Mane to the QB three, turn Josh Allen KB
five turn justin fields into the QB four the serious issues.
There one other thing to watch, especially in weather game.
Down there at the goal line. Dolphins defense given up
four rushing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks. Could Gabriel scramble in
for one? Either way, I think he's worth taking a

(19:07):
chance on this week.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
In a few minutes, there is gonna break down that game.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
I'm excited to hear about Harold Fannin with Djoku out
how high it is, throw nice to him?

Speaker 2 (19:16):
On him?

Speaker 3 (19:16):
It's gonna be a letter grade just which one might
take a jats vie. Quarterback Spencer Rattler going up against
the Bears. Guess who's playing good ball? Spencer Rattler.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
He's got the fifth best touchdown to interception ratio and
since a bad opening game, Spencer Rattler completing seventy one
percent of his passes.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
What are we talking about right now? Now?

Speaker 3 (19:38):
It hasn't been like explosive play from Spencer Ratler, but
it could come here against Chicago. Spencer Rattler, your third
and final take a chance at me quarterback.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
Let's go to the running back position. Brian, who you got?

Speaker 1 (19:51):
I'm sticking with the Houston Seattle game. But I've got
Seattle Zach Sharbonay against the Texans. Of course, since week four,
Sharbonay owns a fifty four percent APPS share. Last week,
Kenneth Walker only saw thirty five percent of Seattle's offensive snaps.
But more importantly, since week four, Sharboney has handled thirteen
of the nineteen running back red zone carries for Seattle,
and now Houston owns the third lowest stuff rate with

(20:14):
the fourth highest missed tackle rate. Those are great numbers
for Sharboney. Houston also the eleventh highest yards after contact
per attempt rate owned, and they have surrendered the second
highest success rate to zone runs, which is right up
Seattle's wheelhouse.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
So I like Sharbonay Monday night.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
The way you beat Houston is on the ground or
your take a chance on me. Running back is who.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Titans running back Taj Spears against the Patriots. Spears played
in just twenty five percent of the snaps when he
returned in week five off ir but last week ends
up playing more snaps than twenty Pollard. Taj played fifty
nine percent of the snaps, ends with nine touches for
fifty yards.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
The Patriots are a really, really.

Speaker 5 (20:54):
Tough matchup opponent when for the opposing running backs on
the ground, Yes, Patriots have given the four fewest rushing
yards per game and yards per carry to opposing running backs,
but the Patriots have struggled against receiving backs. They've allowed
the tenth most receiving yards and tenth most yards per
reception to opposing running backs.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
I think Tad J.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
Spears is a sneaky good play this week, so you
might take a chance on me running back.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Never let it be said I can learn a lesson
on this show because I'm going to the well for
the third straight week for Kendra Miller, the Saints running back,
despite the fact that we've had middling results the last
two times.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
Here's why.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
It's Chicago, same game that I just mentioned a few
moments ago. This is his easiest matchup of the year
so far. Chicago allowing the fifth most fantasy points to runners,
second most rushing yards to runners one hundred and twenty
six per game. And here's Miller having a breakout season
among players. With Kendrey Miller's forty six carries, he is
fourth best in broken tackle rate and tenth in yards

(21:56):
after contact. Kendray Miller's playing really well and this is
his best matchup of the season.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
I'm gonna try him one more time.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
I will not use him a fourth time next week's show.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
I will not mention Kendre Miller. I promise. All right,
let's go to the receivers. Brian, who is your Take
a chance from your receiver.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
My receiver is a tight end Carolina tight end Jatavian
Sanders coming off injury at the Jets. The Jets have
surrendered six tight end touchdowns already.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Five have come over the last three games.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
Fifteen is the number of tight end catches allowed by
the Jets over the last two games. Sanders will slide
right into the starting lineup, putting Tommy Trumble back on
the bench.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
He's should be readily available out there.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
I highly recommend go adding Sanders if you're in need
of tight end this week.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
There's a Jetavian Sanders angle for those people that maybe
have Mark Anders or Dalton kinkaid on by thor your
receiver powers out.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
Anytime you have a seventh thrown rookie that thinks he's
getting MVP chance after he catches a touchdown pass from
a legitimate MVP candidate. You're gonna be might take a
chance let me receiver the next week, So come on down,
Tes Johnson, the rookie Bucks wide receiver. Bucks are playing
the Detroit Lions this weekend. Tes saw his routes jump
from forty nine percent to eighty four percent last week.

(23:14):
He's gonna get the same workload this week with a
mecha Buka. Chris Godwin both out and Mike Evans currently
being designated as a game time decision and seems like
a true game time decision there. So the Bucks obviously
decimated there. Even if Evans plays, it's not going to
affect Test Johnson's role in any way.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Uh, just based on the way the wide receiver hierarchy is.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
Test's post of fifty nine and forty five receiving yards
the last two games, I like him to top both
those numbers in this game against the ravaged Lions secondary.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
The Bucks need him.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
I'm going to give you another tight end you can use,
and that's Tampa Bay tight end Cad Atton, who Mike
Evans out, Chris Godwin out, Amika Ebuka out a unexpected
to play Monday Night over the past two weeks, on
his caught one hundred and thirty two yards a pass. Now, importantly,
last year, there was a stretch of five games where

(24:04):
Evans and Godwin both missed on exploded. Over those five games,
he was tightened two when Evans and Godwin were out.
Last year, that offense went largely through him. He averaged
seventeen PPR points per game. Lions of the opponent their
mediocre tight end defense. They just allowed one hundred yards
to the Chiefs tight ends last week, Kay Dooten, A

(24:25):
nice Monday night pivot for your team. All right, Brian,
let's get back to the matchups. Carolina takes on the
New York Jets. You gotta start with Rico Dowdell talking
this one right, I mean four hundred and seventy three yards.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
We're going to talk more about Dowdell later on the show.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Yeah, Chuba Hubbard is making his return.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
And now there are reports that the Panthers have internally
made a decision on who will start at running back
and get the majority of carries. But Dave Canal's will
refuse is to divulge witch running back.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Well, I have an idea who it might be.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
After reading what Canal said after Rico Dowdle on after
the win against the Cowboys. Rico Dado ran with violence,
a man on a mission that makes that wants to
make yards. He takes our schemes and makes them come alive.
I think they're gonna go with Rico Dawdle in this one.
So I'm giving Rico in a grade. I think Chewba
Hubbard is the backup. Now you have to give Dowdle

(25:16):
the rock. And against the Jets, who have allowed huge
games to James Cook, Devon a Chan, Javonte Williams, they
can't keep their defense off the field. The Jet scan
a grade Rico Dalladle, I'm gonna ride the lightning here.
I will give Hubbard to see though, in a good matchup,
they're gonna run the ball a ton against New York.
For that reason, tedro Ro McMillan, he's the only wide
receiver that gets a starting grade CE. That is, the

(25:39):
Jets have surrender just two wide receiver touchdowns since Week two,
and only Ryan flowerny floor Noy has one hundred yards
against New York all season. So Xavier Leguet and Jalen Kocher,
making his return from ir We'll talk more about him
later in the show. But there on the bench in
this game, Jetavian Sanders is not might take a chance

(25:59):
on me receiver. He's a tight end, of course, But
Bryce Young on the bench as well. The Jets are
the only team with an opponent passing play percentage under
fifty percent. They just get run on all day long.
So Bryce Young is on the bench for the Jets.
Pretty much everyone on the bench except fall. Carolina's run
defense has been very good. Jon Robinson, Devon eight Chan,

(26:20):
Javonte Williams all posted season lows and combo yards against Carolina.
But the usage will be there for Hall, He'll catch
some passes he gets a see. Garrett Wilson has been
ruled out. I'm not going with any other wide receivers
on the Jets in this one. I do like Mason
Taylor a lot, though rookie tight end, giving him a
bee a posting tight averaging more than seven catches and

(26:40):
seventy yards per game against the Panthers, who have also
surrendered a score to the position in three straight games.
So borderline A for Mason Taylor if I'm gonna stick
with a B. And lastly, Justin Fields. I'll give him
a courtesy c. The Panthers have surrendered multiple passing scores
in three straight games. I wish he had Garrett Wilson
with the rushing. You know, the rushing ability gives him

(27:01):
a ceiling. So a see for Fields. I don't think
Fields finishes the game possible. I think Tyrod Taylor ends
up finishing this game. We'll see, I see it.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
We don't want bad things.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Up for players. But this is a very volatile situation.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Speaking of volatility, or here we are, it's only mid October,
Rocket already talking about a weather game in Cleveland where
there is talk of thunderstorms, wins, consistent wins into the
thirty miles an hour gusting if to fifty miles an hour.
This thing could turn very ugly in Cleveland. What do
you think about the opportunities to score? Let's start of

(27:37):
the Miami side. What do you think about the Miami side. Well, okay,
I'm I'm not gonna mow your lawn totally. I'll tell
you what I think is gonna happen. Nobody can run
against Cleveland because of the best run defense in the league.
To noodle arm Tula can't throw through the wind. He
can't slice to the wind. I don't think Miami's scoring
many points, if any, in the well not I'm not
going to predict a shutout, but I don't like Miami
in this matchup.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
I don't really either.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
Starting with Tua Tago bay loa KEP twenty four and
Fantasy points per game right now, he's sort of starting
to remind me Church local flavor here of a point
guard like Mike Conley at the end of his career
to his thirty fifth and a dot right now six
point seven evere depth the target there, Yeah, more that
likely coming against this Browns defense. This game has the

(28:22):
lowest total on the NFL board by a full three points.
This week, Church, you mentioned the weather. I was thinking
of giving him what what ad Brian say is great
was for for Bryce young bench, but I thought you
gave with a see for I'm gonna I'm gonna give
to a bench grade here. I was considering the mercy

(28:42):
see but I'm gonna get Devin auching Is remains a
must start even in a game like this.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
The noodle alarm two are gonna be thrown.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
To him quite a bit, and the targets alone in
bed that you have to keep him in the lineup
type floor for aatching Wattle Jalen, I'm gonna give him
a B wide receiver fifteen fantasy points per game. So far,
since Week five, he's averaging over one hundred receiving yards
per game. The Browns secondary has the third highest rate
of they play the third highest rate of single high
coverage in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Wattle get this.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
Waddle has an observed forty seven point six percent first
read share the last two games against single high debt.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I mean, that's that's who Tua looks for there.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
I'm sure those targets are going to be very close
to the line of scrimmage, but I expect Waddle to
be peppered with them. Darren Waller three games since his
return to the field, Welcome back, Darren Waller averaging fifteen
PPR Fantasy points per game, scored a touchdown in all
three of those games and four total. He's scored a
minimum of nine PPR points in all three of those games,
and tight ends have been able to exploit the Browns.

(29:46):
Browns are nineteenth in the NFL and fantasy points per
game allowed to the tight end position.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
This one I'm.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
Between a low C and a bench with Darren Waller
just because of the offensive offensive environment here. Moving over
to the Browns, I mentioned that Dylan Gabriel was might
take a chance on the quarterb Quinjewn Jenkins strong.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
A here and giving the must start territory.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
Junkins has eighteen plus carries in the three games prior
to last week. This week here is an amazing opportunity
for him to have a big game. The last two
weeks the Dolphins, the Dolphins have allowed three hundred and
thirty rushing to Recoachdwell and Kamani Vidal.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Congratulations Miami.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
They have allowed the most rushing yards in the NFL,
which probably isn't a big surprise after I just said
they gave up three hundred and thirty rushing yards to
two backup running backs.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Quinchan Drukins is gonna have a day here.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
If the only thing that can stop him is weather,
I don't think that gonna be slowing him down either.
Jerry Judy, I give him a ce only twenty nine
receiving yards per game over the last two games. He
does have four red zone targets over the last two weeks,
and the Dolphins are one of the worst defenses in
the NFL. They have a horrible secondary as well. Dolphins
have allowed the tenth most PPR points per target to
perimeter wide receivers. Someone's gonna get the targets if they're

(30:54):
up there, so I'm gonna give Judy a cee.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Keep the rest of.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
Them on the bench, including Isia Bond, David and Yokuo
is out for this game with his knee injury, which
means Harold Fannin I'm giving him ba mister charge. Dylan
Gabriel has targeted tight ends on thirty six point one
percent of his throws in two starts. Harrold Fannen had
two red zone targets over the last two games. He's

(31:18):
earned at least four targets in every game. Harrold Fannon
also ranked seventh at the tight end position in expected
fantasy points. And again, here he's playing this terrible Dolphins defense.
A terrible Dolphins defense that has given up at least
eleven PPR points to Dalton Kin, Kid, Mason Taylor and
the aforementioned around A Gadsen love Harrol Fannon this week.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Harold Fannon sitting on a big, big game.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
Potentially, and you know with the win, if the wind
is as heavy as we think it's going to be,
it's gonna be all short stuff comment.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
That's Dylan throw short anyway fan in the manufactured touch
tight end.

Speaker 5 (31:54):
It's why I don't think the weather will affect him
as much as some of these other guys.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Bounder.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
When we come back, Saints take on the Bears. Is
this a smash spot? The Bears coming off, by the way,
the greatest win they've had in years. Caleb Williams love
him this week. Find out why when we come back
to Fantasy Football Weekly. Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly, Paul

(32:31):
Charchie and Brian Johnson thor Nystrom with you. We've got
a big block of matchups, beginning with the Saints at
the Bears. I already mentioned Kendra Miller was might take
a chance on me running back, but obviously like Alvin
Kamara even more. Kendrick Miller coming in with a C grade.
Alvin Kamara. Bears run defense awful last year, worst in
the league. They're only somewhat awful this year. They ranked

(32:53):
twenty fourth in run stuff win raid. The offensive line
here not great for for Alvin Kamara. But fortunately Chicago
giving up the second most rushing yards and receiving backs
like Kamara are having a lot of success. For example,
Ashon Genti's two receiving touchdowns two games ago, Kamara is
still getting two thirds of the running back usage. It's

(33:14):
a great spot against the defense allowing the fifth most
fantasy points to runners. Alvin Kamara comes in with a
B grade. Let's go over to the passing game. Chris
o'lave is number two in targets behind Odly Puka Nakula.
I don't think most people would guess that, and that
kind of volume makes Olave very safe. We haven't seen
exactly explosive output from Olave, but he's coming off a

(33:36):
season high ninety eight yards and as I mentioned, and
take a chance, I me he's Spencer Ratlers playing really
well until the Bear's secondary gets Jalen Johnson back from injury.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
That is a vulnerable secondary.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Last week, they give up scores to Chris Moore and
Luke McCaffrey, two guys are fractionally as good as Chris Olave.
He gets a B grade in this one. And you
got to pick your spots with Rashid Shahed, But this
is it. He is a long ball threat, and the
Bears ranked dead last in completion percentage on deep balls.
Chicago's also last in touchdowns allowed on deep balls. For example,

(34:12):
last week, Chris Moore Luke McCaffrey both scored on deep
ball touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
B grade for Rashid Shaheed.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Juwan Johnson was one of my favorite preseason plays, but
it was in part because Foster Moreau and Taysom Hill
were out. They're both back, and that's really eaten into
Juwan Johnson's time.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
He is on the bench.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
All right, Let's flip over to the Chicago side of
this game, beginning with the running game. DeAndre Swift has
a groin injury, but he's going to play in this one.
Ben Johnson is trying to figure out how to make
DeAndre Swift work. You can't just run him up the
middle to the A gap. They're doing more zone plays,
more stretch plays, more sea gap runs, and it's been
much better for DeAndre Swift lately. And the Bears offensive

(34:54):
line has just been fantastic. They ranked third best and
run block win rate.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
It is weird to.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
See a Chicago offensive line look good. Saints run defense
surprisingly good. They shut down. The Patriots last week held
Cam Scattaboat to three point nine yards per carry the
week before. So blend all that together and it's a
B grade on DeAndre Swift. Roma dunsays entered just a
I like him here at an A grade. DJ Moore

(35:19):
has been cleared from the injury report. His overall usage
though going downhill. His utilization scores, which you can get
at fantasylife dot com, has dropped from fifty six in
September to forty five in October out of one hundred.
With Luther Burden and Colson Lovelan getting a little bit
more time every week, it's just seems like Moore is
getting squeezed for playing time. It is a favorable matchup,

(35:42):
as I just mentioned with Roma Dunes eight with that
Saint secondary. That is a defense that's allowed the third
most wide receiver touchdowns. So Dj Moore is still startable
with a C grade. Olamedie's a chas if you're in
a pinch, you could play him against lot corner Alante
Taylor with a C grade and all that together. I
love Caleb Williams here. He's at his best when he
doesn't have to improvise, and the Saints don't generate much

(36:04):
pass rush. New Orleans ranks twenty sixth in pass rush
win rate and twenty ninth in pass rush EPA, and
the Saints pass rush dead last in time to pressure.
So Caleb Williams will be able to sit back in
a clean pocket, and when he does that, he completes
sixty eight percent of his passes from clean pockets. In
a grade for Caleb Williams. Brian, Let's go over to

(36:26):
Las Vegas taking on Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Not a lot to like for the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Do like Ashton Gent, who should be getting about twenty
carries a game moving forward. According to Pete Carroll, that's
a great idea. Pete Gent can also catch, of course,
eleven targets over the last two games. The Chiefs are
allowing one hundred and twenty combo yards per game to backs.
Not a smash spot, but Gent is an auto start
at this point. Jacoby Myers still a Raider as of

(36:51):
right now, but he's questionable to play, but he's on
the bench.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
No one, not one.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
Wide receiver has topped eighty yards against the Chiefs this season.
I don't think I need to see any say anymore
about any other Raiders wide receiver that for that reason.
Michael Mayer, though giving him a see in the tight
end wasteland, brock Bowers doubtful to play. Mark Andrews had
seventy seven catches thirty yards against the Chiefs in Week four.
Last week, Sam Laporta logged five catches fifty five yards

(37:16):
in a touchdown. So Mayer is serviceable in the wasteland.
Gino Smith not serviceable. He's on the bench. Over to
the chief side. Isaiah Pacheco my favorite play for Kansas
City this week giving him a bee. Saw seventy seven
percent of the offensive snaps last week, handled twelve of
eighteen running back carries, saw a fifty percent route share

(37:38):
among running backs north of that.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
So that's bell Cow territory.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Practically in the Raiders own the seventh highest mistackle rate,
in the fifth most yards after contact per attempt. Plus
the game script should favorite Pacheco big time, So a
B for him. I got a lot of c's in
the receiving game, starting with Rashid Rice. You finally get
to play them. You are gonna start him. How much
will he play enough to play him? The Raiders have

(38:01):
allowed the fourth most catches to wide receivers, so playing
it safe sea for Rice a see even worthy. The
Raiders have allowed the second most receiving yards per game
and the third most fantasy points per game to perimeter
wide receivers. Travis Kelce not dead yet back among the
top ten tight ends and fantasy points per game. Kind
of wrote him off, but just a see for him.

(38:23):
The Raiders have allowed the six highest highest yards per
reception to the position. So with all those seas in
the passing game, given one more to Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
All right, let's go to our final matchup of this segment,
and that is New England taking on Tennis CE. You know,
ramondre Stevenson is just an absolute enigma.

Speaker 5 (38:43):
Thor I'm gonna give ramondre Stevenson C grade in this game.
He's average almost eleven touches per game in almost fifty
two total yards per game. Last week, he played seventy
one percent of the snaps at the running back position
and nearly tripled up Trevion Henderson in routes run, which
is pretty stunning knowing Trevy Henderson's game coming out of
Ohio State. But Lake Church you mentioned great matchup here,

(39:03):
Titans have been atrocious against the run. They've allowed the
second most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs
and the most rushing touchdowns with nine to opposing running backs.
I'm gonna give Remandre a seed. It's just a little
bit concerned about the usage in the way that works
out and not going a little bit higher. And I'm
keeping Trevion Henderson on the bench. There is the thing
if you're in a deeper league of the match up

(39:24):
here with Tennessee's futured run defense, but because of the usage,
I can't go higher on Trevon Henderson.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Drake may is a must start and.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
An a a couple of his receivers, though Pop Douglas
keep on the bench. He had the three catches the
last game, but I'm keeping him on the bench. I'm
also keeping Kishon Butte on the bench. He's been boomer
Bus last week was the wide receiver four in Fantasy,
and he was also good in Week one. But the
other weeks there, weeks two to five, he never had
more than three receptions or forty three receiving yards in
any game, so you just have to pick your spot

(39:51):
with him. I think this is a spot for it
to be a bus. The Titans run a bunch of
two high shell coverage Bouta's target share against too high
drops off a shelf to seven point three percent target rate.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
Stefan Diggs, though, I'm gonna give him a bee. He
had the poor game last week.

Speaker 5 (40:07):
Three catch for twenty eight yards, but he did have
a fifty plus yard reception a race by a defensive
pass interference call. He'd been commanding a team I thirty
three percent of the first reads. I like this match
up here for reasons I've already stated. So I'm giving
Digs a bee. Hunter Henry, I'm keeping him on the bench.
I don't like the way the usages has gone for him.
The first three games.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
He was awesome.

Speaker 5 (40:27):
In the last three games, he has not been hasn't
scored a touchdown last two games. If he needs a
touchdown in this one, I don't like his opportunity. The
Titans have allowed only one touchdown to score. I'm sorry
one tight end to score more than nine Fantasy points
this year. So I'm keeping him on the bench grade
for cam Ward, I also have a bench grade on
Tony Pollard. He's been averaging fifteen plus carries per game.

(40:49):
But I talked before when I was talking about Tajay Spears,
might take a chance on me. Running Back Tony Pollard
is starting to lose the work to Tajay Spears. Last
week he played less than half of the snaps at
the running back position for the Titans.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
He also is averaging less than four yards per carry.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
So ta Jay Spears the guy that I want this week.
With Kelvin Ridley being out, elk aom nor, he gets
a C grade. Yeah, he's going to be the wide
receiver one here and he's going to do you know,
his stats in his points this season.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Because of that Chicken Kong Kuo. I'm also going to give.

Speaker 5 (41:17):
A season averaging thirty six receiving yards per game, not
great U six zero deep targets, zero red zone targets.
I do give him a seed though, because this is
a good matchup and I do think he's going to
get more targets. With Ridley out, New England is allowed
to fit the most receiving yards to opposing tight ends.

Speaker 3 (41:34):
Elk Ao, my man are potentially sitting on a breakout
game this week.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
If I were going to call one, I would call
it right here.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
I like, Hey, I called him in the summertime, one
of my sleepers.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
My boy, you did, Yeah you did. I'm calling the
breakout game right like it. When we come back our
number two Fantasy Football Weekly, we will answer three tough questions.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
You can play along. See if you can go three.

Speaker 3 (41:56):
And oher including Rico dowdles Cross for the rest of
the season. Find out when we come back to Fantasy
Football Weekly, Welcome back our number two Fantasy Football Weekly.

(42:24):
Paul Chargy and Brian Johnson thor Nystrom with you. If
you want to follow us on X you can do
so at Paul Charchian, at b t x J and
at thor k U Rock Chalk, Rock, Chock Baby. This
is a segment we like to call three tough questions,
and we begin here.

Speaker 6 (42:43):
Tough question number one.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
The Dowdler just posted four hundred and seventy three total yards.

Speaker 2 (42:53):
For the rest of the season.

Speaker 3 (42:55):
What letter grade will Fantasy Football Weekly host most often
give Rico on this show?

Speaker 4 (43:01):
Is it an A grade, a B grade, or a
C grade.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
We begin with Brian Johnson.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Well, it's not an A, even though I gave him
an A this week. I do believe he is going
to be the guy moving forward. I love Cuba Hubbard,
but you know he was somewhat overachieving. He was never
he was never drafted to be the guy he was.
Right now, Rico looks legit. You got to ride the wave,
and I think as long as he stays healthy, we're
going to be seeing a B grade from Rico on

(43:29):
a Panthers offense that's only gonna get better now that
Jatavian Sanders Jalen Cocha are back there. They're starting to
gel at the right time, and I think Rico is
the lead back there. So B moving forward, all.

Speaker 3 (43:41):
Right, thor Rico Dowdell going forward? What letter grade will
he get on this show? The most often an A,
B or a C grade.

Speaker 5 (43:50):
I have to say first that I really appreciate Rico
Donald because a couple of weeks ago, my girlfriend she
she's in a fantasy football league and she needed an
injury replacement, and I was through the waivers on there.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
I was like, you gotta sign Rico.

Speaker 5 (44:02):
I have gotten an enormous amount of credit from her
for my Rico Donald recommendation, and maybe because of that,
you know, I was almost leaning A here. I was
like a b A, I am gonna toggle it to
the be. Even though I agree with what Brian says.
I think it's gonna be Rico this week. Cuba will
bite into his usage a little bit, So that's why

(44:23):
I toggle it to be. But shout out to you,
uncle Rico.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
Appreciate you when you say that you've gotten an enormous
amount of credit from your girlfriend. Can we just assume
take a very liberal interpretation on what that credit means?

Speaker 2 (44:37):
You could? Yeah, okay, I need to first.

Speaker 3 (44:40):
I got a peacock scott Fish two weeks ago on
this show. Prior to the four hundred and seventy three Yards,
he urged everybody to pick up Rego Dowdell. Both Rico
Dowdell and Chuba Hubbard likely regressed to the meme, meaning
Hubbard is going to get better than he has been
this year. He hasn't performed well. Dowdell probably gets worse
like has been historically. I mean, Dowdell's a five year backup.

(45:03):
These guys almost never break out into a long term
success rate. Not impossible, but it's unlikely. Cuba Hubbard meanwhile
weirdly bad after being really good last year he's thirty
eighth and avoided tackle rate twenty ninth, in yards after
contact thirty six and rushing yards of expectations. Is not
the Chuba Hubbard we saw last year. Maybe he's been
playing hurt all year and now it's still not one

(45:25):
hundred percent. But we'll play this week. I do worry
a little bit that we're gonna get the dreaded hot
hand effect from Dave Canalis, where it's gonna be like, oh,
we're gonna give it. You know, he's gonna defer a
bit to his veteran He's gonna see who's doing better
and then give the ball to that guy.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
More.

Speaker 3 (45:42):
I thatt we hate the hot hand effect in fantasy
because you can't predict it.

Speaker 2 (45:46):
E grade for Rico.

Speaker 3 (45:47):
Dawdell going forward most commonly, hopefully it'll hold here.

Speaker 6 (45:52):
Tough question number two.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen says he's going to get
Travis Hunter more involved in the offense.

Speaker 4 (46:00):
Should you believe him?

Speaker 2 (46:01):
We begin with thorn Eistrom duvall.

Speaker 5 (46:05):
I was just kidding. Yes, I do believe mister Cohen.
Hunter is basically already a full time player on offense.
They could Jacksonville could get him more involved as a
first read on plays and with design targets. So although
I will say initially when I during this season, I
thought the Jaguars were misusing him by trying to force
him manufactured touches near the line of scrimmage as opposed

(46:26):
to sending him deep, the most encouraging thing about Hunter's
usage is that in the past couple of weeks Jacksonville
finally started to use him downfield. That's Hunter's special sauce
with his ball skills down there.

Speaker 3 (46:37):
Ryan Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen says he's going to
get Travis Hunter more involved in the offense.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
Should we believe him? Yeah? We should.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
I know, I said to bench Hunter this week, I'm
kind of wavering on that. He did see an eighty
eight percent route rate last week, Travis Hunter. That was
a season high. It's probably gonna stay along those numbers.
So I'm going to retract that benching and say, see,
and I will believe Liam Cohen that they get him
more involved, they better. The only reason I think they
might not is just to screw with that IDP team.
I told you about where I drafted Travis Hunter in

(47:06):
the second round playing him at defensive back and he's
still not adding any value there. So but no, I
believe in Travis Hunter.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
Let's go.

Speaker 3 (47:17):
When we think about the Colorado version of Travis Hunter,
we think of those big downfield catches, him weaving through traffic,
making slappies, miss breaking tackles.

Speaker 4 (47:26):
We haven't got any of that, guys. Here's stat of
the day for you.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
Here we are heading into week seven, Travis Hunter has
two catches deeper than nine yards.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
He ranks in the bottom ten percent of wide receivers
in depth of target. Travis Hunter totally misused, and the
fact that he hasn't been able to just house Diammy
Brown and Parker Washington is a major bummer.

Speaker 4 (47:55):
I do believe Liam Cohen wants to get him going.

Speaker 3 (47:57):
We know he can because he's done it with other people,
did in Tampa. But I have some skepticism because the
usage has to change dramatically. I'd like to believe Liam
Cohen's going to do that, but I'm not gonna believe
it until I see it. I believe the correct answer
at this stage, right now, at this point of the
season is no.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
And by the way, coaches lie all the time.

Speaker 6 (48:20):
Tough question number three.

Speaker 3 (48:23):
Rashi Rice returns from suspension this week for the rest
of the season. What letter grade will Fantasy Football Weekly
hosts most often give to Rashie Rice.

Speaker 4 (48:33):
Is it going to be an A?

Speaker 3 (48:34):
Is it going to be a C, A B C,
or is it going to be a bench Brian? I
think you gave him a C earlier in this show. Correct,
I did.

Speaker 1 (48:42):
I was just being a little little conservative there here.
We haven't seen Rashid Rice since Week three of last season,
or maybe Week four when he got injured. But his
first three games of last year one hundred and three
yards on nine catches, six catches, seventy five yards a touchdown,
twelve catches, one hundred and ten yards a touchdown. Then
he we lost him to injury, so I kind of

(49:03):
forgot that he's coming off injury.

Speaker 2 (49:04):
So I'm I'm not too worried about coming off injury.

Speaker 1 (49:08):
Might be a little slow to ramp up, so I'm
just gonna I'm gonna go with B because Zavier Worthy
he's certainly gonna soak up some targets. Travis Kelce proven
not to be a dead cat just yet, so I'll
go B. But it's borderline A went healthy. Rashid Rice
is elite. But I'm gonna go B thor what.

Speaker 3 (49:23):
Letter grade most often will Fantasy Football Weekly hosts give
to Rashi Rice and A A B.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
Or A C or A bench. I'm gonna go with
an A grade here.

Speaker 5 (49:34):
I think Rashie Rice is gonna be Kansas City's unquestioned
wide receiver one right from the get, and he's gonna
get poundered with targets as Pat Mahomes is. I'm on
Rasaint Brown, So yeah, I'm gonna go with an A
here for Rashid I.

Speaker 3 (49:47):
Also am gonna go with an A. I'm gonna give
you some unrelated stats though, for just a moment here.
Yahoo published some data. Sixty eight percent of the teams
that drafted Rashi Rice have zero.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
One or two wins at this stage of the season.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
We talked about this in the preseason and I was like,
I'm not I'm not drafting a guy who's playing three
games before Week eleven. That is not cool. And if
you look that certainly suggested. Get this, four percent of
Yahoo leagues for players people who drafted Rashi Rice have
five or six wins right now.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Only four percent at five or six wins.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
That guy, it was what you had, the price you
had to pay in Rashi Rice was too high for
what he ended up being worth to this point. Now,
last we saw Rashi Rice last year weeks one through three.
He was Fantasy Football's highest scoring receiver during that stretch.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
And what makes him so special?

Speaker 3 (50:40):
In those three games, Rice averaged sixty two yards after
the catch. That's insanity. And granted it was a small
sample size just three games. But still, and again another
side note here, what happens when Rashi Rice erased his seven, eight, nine,

(51:00):
to ten targets from the other Chiefs receivers. One guy
in particular is going to struggle Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
Rashi Rice is.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
So good over the middle of the field that is
typically Kelsey territory. Get this, those three games that Rahi
Rice played last year, Travis Kelcey did not score. He
had thirty four yards, zero yards and thirty yards in
those three games for Travis Kelcey when Rashee Rice was healthy.
Get out of the Travis Kelcey business right now, by

(51:32):
the way. Correct answer, As I mentioned earlier, a great
for Rashi Rice. He's awesome and he'll pick up right
where he left off. All right, there's three tough questions.
Let's go, hopefully you in three and zero. I didn't
keep tracking what rate you guys went at. But let's
zip over to the Giants taking on the Denver Broncos.
I don't think the Giants are going to fare nearly

(51:53):
as well here as they did a couple well thursdays ago.
Let's Jackson Dart, who is on the bench, No Malik Neighbors,
Darius Slayton not expected to play a brutal matchup against Denver.
Look what they just did to Justin Fields last week.
You can't even count on Dart getting you rushing yards
because the Broncos are insanely good against rushing quarterbacks. They're

(52:14):
allowing seven quarterback rushing yards per game, that's it. And
they have faced Daniel Jones Jalen Hurts justin Fields, and
you certainly don't want to count on Dart passing into
the face of the league's number one pass rush defense.
Lots of short passes incoming that are not going to
equal fantasy relevancy for Jackson Dart, he is on the bench.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
What about Wendelle Robinson.

Speaker 3 (52:38):
You might be thinking, because he had an awesome game
last week against the Eagles. He will avoid past trick
Sirtan in this because he runs from the slot a lot.
That's the good news. The only two wide receiver touchdowns
the Broncos have allowed were to slot receivers. And importantly,
last week, the Giants let Dart throw downfield for the
first time and that helped unlock that big game from
Wendell Robinson, who had been shackled by short passes before that.

(53:00):
But Dart is going to need to throw fast in
the face of the league's best pass rushing defense, so
it's gonna be a lot of short stuff again, and
Wendell Robinson's not great in that scenario. Just to see
grade for him. THEO Johnson scored touchdowns three touchdowns in
last three games, but he is a low volume touchdown
dependent player, and since the switch to Jackson Dart, it's
all short passes to Johnson. Only Tyler Warren has managed

(53:24):
to top forty six yards against Denver. Only Dallas Goddard
has scored a touchdown against Denver among tight ends.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
So bench great on Theo Johnson.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
Let's talk Cam Scatibo.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
One of the best stories in football last week, Scatibo
proved that Tyrone Tracy is totally irrelevant.

Speaker 2 (53:40):
Scatabo is the workhorse back.

Speaker 3 (53:41):
He's looked terrific, and if you're going to beat the Broncos,
you'll have to run the ball because their pass defense
is amazing. The broncos two losses this year came against
teams that ran the ball twenty five and twenty five
times with their running backs. Scatabo should get eighteen to
twenty of the those twenty five rushes that the Giants
are going to want to get to. Here, Broncos run

(54:03):
defense pretty good. They shut down Saquon Barkley two Thursdays ago.
They're getting dingd two weeks ago. They're getting dinged through
the air, though, and Cam can catch, so I think
he cobbles together a pretty decent game.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
Here. We'll throw a B grade on Cam Scatabo. Let's
go to the Broncos side. I want to start with
the running game and JK. Dobbins.

Speaker 3 (54:23):
He remains the workhorse back with R. J. Harvey mostly
getting action only in garbage time. The Giants have a
middle of the pack run defense better lately, but on
the season they rank thirtieth in run defense success rate,
Dobbins remains pretty darn safe and he comes in with
a B grade.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
I mentioned R J.

Speaker 3 (54:39):
Harvey only is only playable and blowouts here, and maybe
this is a blowout game. Denver is a seven point favorite,
but I can't count on that, and I can't count
on RJ.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Harvey, who I've got a bench great on.

Speaker 3 (54:48):
As for Courtland Sutton, he remains the alpha receiver here,
but we're starting to see Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims
eat into his production a little bit.

Speaker 4 (54:57):
Still, Sutton is the only weekly.

Speaker 3 (55:01):
Reliable target on the Broncos, and big body, physical receivers
like Cortland Sutton have fared well against the Giants. George Pickens,
Quinton Johnston scored last week and well they have scored
and last week k A j. Brown had eighty yards
against New York. So I like court and Sutton with
that big frame as a B grade. As for bow Nicks,

(55:24):
it's been a disappointing season. Not a bad one, but disappointing,
and it's mostly because he's not rushing. We're not getting
that big dual threat game from bow Knicks that we
got last year as a rookie.

Speaker 1 (55:35):
Based on where he's getting drafted. It's a huge disappointment.
I'd say that to Yeah, he's QB thirteen right now.
For Bo Nicks, I think that's fair to say he's
been disappointing. The Giants have a good, not great pass rush,
and the Broncos offensive line has been terrific. Nicks has
seen the second fewest quarterback pressures, so he's standing tall
in the pocket delivering passes, and he should have time

(55:57):
to do the same here and deliver downfield. He comes
in with a beat, right, but again, the rushing just
isn't there to give us a grade upside. Troy Franklin
and Marvin Mims super difficult to guess which guy could
put up a good game, but it's safe to say
it won't be both because they never do it in
the same game. Franklin running about ten more routes per game,

(56:18):
which gives him the advantage here, but Mims has outperformed Franklin.

Speaker 4 (56:22):
Lately. We've seen deeper depth chart Blazers do well against
the Giants like Rashid Schahat and Taekwon Thornton and Cavante Turpin.
We're all super fast, and that's Franklin and Mims. They're
super fast downfield guys, so both startable in a pinch
Sea level guys, but again I don't think they both
do well.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
Last guy to mention.

Speaker 3 (56:42):
Evan Ingram meaningfully involved in this offense seven to six
and six targets the last three weeks since returning from
injury and a very healthy twenty four percent target rate.

Speaker 4 (56:53):
What has killed Evan Ingram so far?

Speaker 3 (56:55):
It's all a bunch of short passes and they haven't
given him any end zone looks yet. Giants have been
a good tight end defense. Only one tight end his
top forty six yards. Only one is scored C grade
for Evan Ingram. When we come back to Fantasy Football Weekly,
another block at matchup for you, including green Bay taking
on Arizona. At Arizona running back situation is always gross

(57:20):
and now a very tough Packers run defense will tell
you if there are any Cardinals runners you can scramble
too off the waiver wire. When we return to Fantasy
Football Weekly, Welcome back to Fantasy Football Weekly. Baul Chargie

(57:54):
and thornis from Brian Johnson with you. Brian green Bay
is taking on Arizona and what should be a one
sided game I could see Green Bay getting ahead early
and just running Josh Jacobs a lot in this game.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
He's been a work course of late.

Speaker 1 (58:08):
No doubt, he's been a work course as of his
last thirteen regular season games, where he has seventeen touchdowns
during those Yeah, Jacobs just has been a machine.

Speaker 2 (58:19):
A grade for him.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
The Cardinals have surrendered a running back rushing touchdown in
three straight games. Jonathan Taylor just at one hundred twenty
three yards on the ground alone against the Cardinals. Jacobs
could certainly replicate that. So a for Jacobs over to
the wide receivers, just to see for Matthew Golden, who
is starting to heat up now ranks ninth in the
NFL and catch over and catch rate over expected. He

(58:42):
just needs an uptick in targets and it's in a
good spot against the Cardinals, who are fifth in opponent
passing play percentage of allowed the fifth most catches to
wide receivers. So I'll also give a seat of Romeo
Dobbs for that reason. But Tucker Craft and a grade
for him. Craft averaging nine point nine yard after the
catch per reception that is first among tight ends. The

(59:03):
next closest is Tyler Warren with seven point nine. That
is a huge delta, and Warren is elite too. That
is an elite number for Warren, but Craft like almost
on another level. And then speaking of Tyler Warren, he
had six catches sixty three yards in a touchdown against
Arizona just last week, who have been getting flamed by
tight ends over the last three weeks. Over the last

(59:25):
three weeks, twenty catches, two one hundred and thirty seven
yards and two touchdowns totaled by opposing tight ends. So
in a for Tucker Craft, So an easy c for
Jordan Love because again I like Jacob's a lot in
this game, almost a bench grade for Love if not
for Craft, because it's gonna go all through Jacobs.

Speaker 2 (59:42):
So just to see for Love over to the cardinal side.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
You alluded to the running backs charge, I got him
both on the bench Bam Knight and Michael Carter. If
you're absolutely desperate, go ahead and grab one. But an
awful matchup for both. Green Bay allows the fewest brushyards
per game, the second lowest explosive run rate, and the
sixth lowest yards after contact per attempt. But I love
Trey McBride in this one. He's the first receiver I'm

(01:00:07):
going to talk about. Currently seventh in targets among wide receivers,
now first and targets among tight ends. Matchup doesn't really
matter when it comes to McBride, but this is a
great one on paper. Packer's allowing eight catches sixty yards
per game to opposing tight ends who have also scored
in three of five games played by Green Bay, So
a for McBride, just to see. For Marvin Harrison, who

(01:00:30):
has cleared concussion protocol, the Packers allowing just thirteen catches
one hundred and thirty seven yards per game to wide
receivers as a whole. Those are not great numbers, So
a very soft sea on Marvin Harrison. The only wide
receiver getting a grade for the Cardinals because we don't.

Speaker 2 (01:00:44):
Know who's playing quarterback yet.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
But Jacoby Prissett looks like an update for Kyler Murray
last week. But Friday, Prissett still working with the starters,
Murray off to the side.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
He's looking real dicey.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
But even if Murray plays, I got him on the
bench and perset if he starts, defense is legit, even
though they had some holes lately.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
Yeah, it's Marvin Harrison could be sitting on a dud
game here. I've got a lot of concern about him,
and he is fully capable of dud games as we've seen.
Thora Let's go over to Washington taking on Dallas to
Corey Krosky. Merritt was part of that key fumble, but
in the exchange that was on somewhere half the blame
falls halfway between Merit and halfway between between jayd and Daniels.

(01:01:28):
But possible bounce back game for him against a bad
Dallas run defense one.

Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
Hundred percent, and I don't put any blame on bellcou Bill.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
I'm going to absolve him of all that.

Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Last week you mentioned that he plays sixty seven percent
of the snaps even with Chris Rodriguez active. Bill got
seventeen of the nineteen running back carries in that game.
Also had a team high forty percent route share, and
this is a solid matchup. Of course, Dallas's run defenses
allowed the fourth most rushing yards per game.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
I'm going to go with a B for Bill in
this game.

Speaker 5 (01:02:01):
I think Washington's going to have a lot of success
moving the ball, and I think a lot of that
offense is going to come through. Jaydon Daniels. What I
expect to be a shootout? Jayden Daniels obviously a must
start A. This is the highest total on the NFL
board this week. We are going to get a shootout.
Now we have to talk about the Commander's receiving core
Terry McLaurin is out with his quad injury. Deebo Samuel

(01:02:23):
is the hard one to parse. He is a must
start A if he starts. But let's get into the situation.
Deebo did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday. On Friday,
he was spotted doing quote unquote light movements before the
Commander's practice. Then the media asked Deebo Samuel on Friday
if he thought he was going to play on Sunday.
Quote We'll just have to see end quote was Deebo's response,

(01:02:46):
and then Deebo added that his heel injury has been
quote aggravating for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
End quote. If Deebo plays, you have to have him
in your lineup.

Speaker 5 (01:02:55):
It's a bad defense are going up against in an
expected shootout. And by the way, Boys cornerback Trayvon Diggs
is out due to mysterious concussion symptoms, something he suffered
at the house, So this would be an awesome a
smash spot for Deebo sim if he plays, but again
up in the air.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
If Deebo does not play.

Speaker 5 (01:03:12):
I would upgrade Luke McCaffrey to a see just based
on the status of the Commander receiving cored. Luke McCaffrey
has been scoring touchdowns and he will be getting more
targets here.

Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
If Deebo is out. If Deebo plays.

Speaker 5 (01:03:25):
I would downgrade that to a bench plus, although I
know I can't do that, mister, charge team, but no,
you can't. Yeah, so what we'll say bench If Deebo
ends up playing. Zach Ertz is the other guy I
want in the Commander's offense in my starting lineup this week.
I give him an A even though he's only tight
end sixteen to this point in Fantasy points per game.
Awesome match up here. Dallas is bad defense. They play

(01:03:45):
a ton of too high coverage. Washington's scheme uses zach Ertz.
They feature him against too high. They use him kind
of like a paper cutter, sort of. Zach Ertz has
a thirty five percent first read share against too high
this season, and Dallas has also allowed the twelfth most
receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends. Ertz, I

(01:04:07):
love the matchup this week, so again giving him an
A and then a whole bunch of a is on
Dallas's side, and again what I expect to be a shootout.
Dak Prescott to must start A. Javante Williams is a
must start a full blown bellcoll in the two games
without Miles Sanders, Davonte Williams eighty percent snap rate and
eighty one percent snap right Jaydeawn Blue.

Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
I mentioned this before in the show, Jada Blue is
not good.

Speaker 5 (01:04:28):
Yeah, I mean that it's gonna be Bellkow status for
Williams going forward. George Pickins has become a must start
A and then Ceedee Lamb. I'm gonna give him an
A as well. Ceedee Lamber returned to practice on Wednesday.
I opened up hot the first two weeks of this
season before he got injured in Chicago. Sixteen catches two
hundred twenty two yards over those first couple of games,
and Washington allows a league high one hundred slightly over

(01:04:50):
one hundred yards per game to opposing slot receivers. Obviously,
that's where Lam's gonna take back over and I'm gonna
keep Jake Ferguson with a must start a as well,
just based on the precedent up until this point. A
lot to see how his usage changed with Ceedee lamback.
But I'm giving Jake Ferguson a nay as well.

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
So let's go back to Pickens for a minute.

Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
If you know Pickens has been great while Ceede Lamb
has been out, Ceedee Lamb comes back, what do you
think about now or as a cell high moment if
you've got Pickens knowing Lamb's coming back.

Speaker 5 (01:05:21):
Yeah, I would definitely listen to offers for George Pickens
if if I was his owner. I mean, you have
to have them in your lineup this week, of course.
But yeah, with Lamb coming back, in the amount of
targets that we know get funneled to Ceedee Lamb, some
of those are of course going to come out of
the the pie of George Pickens's usage to this point.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
So yeah, I like that call.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Church Atlanta takes on San Francisco Bijon Robinson's the hottest
player in football right now. Basically do any There's nothing
I could or would say to suggest you should not
start him. He is a clear a grade. Let's go
over to the passing game. I want to start with
Drake London. Consecutive explosive games with over one hundred and
ten yards and touchdowns in both and both are wins

(01:06:01):
by Atlanta, So I gotta believe Atlanta is looking at
this going. We got to keep feeding Drake London. Let's
get our WS. It's a plus matchup all over the
field for London. None of the Niners starting cornerbacks have
a PFF rank of higher than fifty nine.

Speaker 4 (01:06:15):
Two of them are lower than ninety fourth. This is
a nice spot for the physical, big body Drake London.
A grade for him. Darnell Mooney is a good guy
to pick up in stash right. Michael Pennix is getting better.
Darnell Mooney's missed this entire season so far with injury.
He's on waiver wires everywhere. He's probably going to play
in this game. We're not gonna start him. We're gonna

(01:06:36):
let him knock some rust off before we start him.
But this might be a good spot to pick up
Darnal Mooney. This actually he's turned into my premature speculation
players just as I'm talking right now. But we'll keep
Mooney on the bench, but this is the time to
go get him now, Kyle Pitts, you're only deploying Kyle
Pitts Brian in great spots, and the forty nine ers

(01:06:57):
might actually be one. Four of the niners last five
opponents have had a tight end score or top fifty yards.
It's the rare C grade coming from me for Kyle Pitts.
Brian would tell you a grade. I'm gonna go just
with the C grade.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
Michael Pennix getting the ball into the hands of his
superstars and letting them go be special, and that is
helping him statistically. But what keeps Pecks in check is
a conservative Falcons offense that ranks twenty eighth in passing
play percentage. It's just hard to fill a box score
on that low of volume. The Niners are middle of

(01:07:33):
the pack secondary. They have a lot of passing touchdowns
in every game since the opener, five touchdowns the past
two weeks, although to much better and more accomplished passers
than Michael Pennix. He comes in with a C grade here.
Going over to the San Francisco side, it's another Mac
Jones start, but we do get George Kittle back, and
they say is not on a snap count. So we've

(01:07:54):
got a full force George Kittle coming in now. He
is coming off a hamstring injury. Those are always tricky
and they do aggravate easily. But I can't go through
life assuming somebody's going to reinjure their hamstring, and with
all the other Niners injuries, I think George Kittle's just
got to have a major role here. The bad news
is the Falcons are the best tight end defense in

(01:08:15):
the league. They rank number one in yards allowed to
tight ends, number one in touchdowns allowed to tight ends,
and number one in fantasy points allowed to tight ends.
Roll all that together, I can only get you to
do a B grade on George Kittle. We might still
see some Jake Tongis in the mix here as well,
but I think you can drop Tongus out right here.

(01:08:36):
As for the receivers, Ricky Pearsall is not gonna go.
So Kendrick Bourne back is a plausible start. And by
the way, back to back one and forty two yard
games for Kendrick Bourne.

Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
I don't know how many times that's ever happened in
the history of the NFL. Kendrack burn again. Kendrick Bourn again.
Was he ever born in the first place? He showed up?

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
Yeah, just show that exactly, Patriots, The oh.

Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
Yeah, Falcon secondary has been great. No receiver has topped
eighty one yards against Atlanta. Only two receivers have scored
since the opening week, and they just dropped the hammer
on the Buffalo receivers. Still with everybody else, hurt Bourne's
high volume keeps him startable. We'll say C grade on
Kendrick Warren.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
And Kendrick Bourne identity exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
How about Djwan Jennings right now?

Speaker 3 (01:09:25):
He revealed last week he is playing with five broken ribs,
a high ankle sprain, and a regular ankle sprain.

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Who does that?

Speaker 3 (01:09:35):
I mean, God blessed her playing through it, but any
hit could be his last. I've dropped to Juwan Jennings
in my leagues, and you can't start a player playing
on five broken ribs, a high ankle sprain, in a
regular ankle sprain.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
He's out.

Speaker 3 (01:09:47):
Mac Jones is your starting quarterback, but he comes in
with two different injuries. There's a risk of reinjury here.
You've got all the injuries to the receivers, You've got
the quality of the Falcons defense, which is excellent. Atlanta
ranks number one in passing yards allowed, number five in
passing touchdowns allowed, and number four in fantasy points allowed
to opposing quarterbacks. This is a tough spot for mac Jones.

(01:10:10):
I can only get you to a C grade on him,
and then Christian McCaffrey. I am giving him a B
grade despite a tough matchup and shockingly bad rushing production,
which we're gonna talk about in just a minute. But
his volume is bizark. He's got one hundred and sixty
eight opportunities that is rush's plus targets. That's twenty seven

(01:10:33):
more than any other player. That's like a whole extra
game of extra usage from Christian McCaffrey. By the way,
I consider selling Christian McCaffrey now while you can do so,
name your price on him. He is an overused, underproductive runner.
In particular, his receiving has been great. But get a
load of some of these rushing stats for Christian McCaffrey.

(01:10:54):
Yards per carry, thirty fourth, yards after contact, thirty second,
avoided tackle rate twenty fourth, and rushing yards over expectation.
Christian McCaffrey is fortieth. The Falcons have only allowed one
rushing touchdown all year to opposing running backs and none
to starters, and no back has topped eighty seven yards,
and they've given up the fewest receptions second fewest receiving

(01:11:18):
yards to running backs. It's a brutal matchup for Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
Mostly on name.

Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
I'm giving him a B grade, but the reality is
he might be closer to a C grade in this matchup.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
All right, we'll take a break.

Speaker 3 (01:11:32):

Speaker 4 (01:12:58):
Guys, Let's jump into the fantasy week.

Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
I'm gam who identify some players now, and everybody else
is me trying to pick up next week.

Speaker 4 (01:13:08):
Let's find out who they are.

Speaker 3 (01:13:10):
We begin with Brian Johnson, who is your premature speculation player.

Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
I got Raiders rookie wide receiver Jack Beck, who was
competing with fellow rookie wide receiver Dante Thornton for playing time. Beck,
though drafted in the second round, Thornton drafted in the fourth.

Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
Now, I should preface all this with the Jacoby Myers
trade rumors swirling around him, so if that were to happen,
serious playing time will open up. But uh, there already
is playing time for a wide receiver three.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
In this offense.

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
In weeks one through four, it was Dante Thornton who
had a sixty eight percent route share percentage compared to
to Beck with nine percent. Then in week five nearly
evened out Thornton fifty eight point five percent target share percentage.
I'm sorry, route share percentage, Beck thirty six point six percent.
Last week Beck eighty percent route chair percent Thornton zero.

(01:14:03):
Jack Beck is totally taken over, or at least you
surf Thornton in the in on the depth chart for
the Raiders. So and if Jacoby Myers were to get traded, uh,
they like Jack Beck. They took him in the second
round fifty eighth overall pick go grab him now on
Pyahu one percent owned.

Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
Uh, Jacoby Myers Steelers would look good. Giants help Hatriots
need help. Buffalo as a potential spot. There's some nice
landing spots for Jacoby Myers that could really arc his
his value. And Trey Tucker and Jack Beck, let's go
to thorn Eistrom. Your take it, not take a chance,

(01:14:40):
I mean, your premature speculation.

Speaker 5 (01:14:41):
Player is Kolkhead's stand up Jalen Cocher, Panthers wide receiver.
He missed the first six games with a hamstring injury.
He's making his season debut against the Jets this weekend. Coker,
at present is owned in only sixteen percent of Yahoo leagues.

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
That needs to change.

Speaker 5 (01:15:00):
He is about to give Carolina a legitimate number two weapon.
In six games, playing at least sixty eight percent of
the snaps with Bryce Young last year, Cocher averaged fifty
six receiving yards per game, also average eleven plus PPR
points per game with three top thirty six Fantasy.

Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
Finishes twelve team plus league.

Speaker 5 (01:15:20):
If you're in a twelve team league or higher, I
think he's startable this week. The Jets secondary has allowed
the ninth most PPR points to slot wide receivers. Either way,
get make sure that Jalen Koger is not unowned in
your league.

Speaker 2 (01:15:31):
I tipped my hand on this one already.

Speaker 3 (01:15:32):
I was just talking about Christian McCaffrey as a cell
high guy at here. You know, we know he is
an injury time bomb. Somebody has already made it through
this stage of the season. Maybe it's you with him.
We know he's frail. We know he's been overused. He's
number two in rushing attempts, number one in targets. I
have mentioned the last segment one hundred and sixty eight

(01:15:53):
opportunities already. I think I would go get Brian Robinson.
Rostered in thirty percent of league. That's it, seventy percent
of league's he's available, Brian Robinson. Even Isaac Grendel could
make sense. I get the feeling this that CMC is
a time bomb. Don't and I don't. I don't love
to say that, I just but I feel like that's
where we are right now. Consider him also a name

(01:16:15):
on a throat there. Emmanuel Wilson's running really well for
Green Pay. If anything were to happen to Josh Jacobs,
he's a ninety eight percent available player, and he would
be the new starting running back. Jacob's popping up on
the injury report this week. Our final two matchups, Brian,
we begin with Houston taking on Seattle. You already told
us C. J. Stroud was your take a chance on
me quarterbacks. So there's got to be some players you

(01:16:36):
like for him to throw to.

Speaker 1 (01:16:37):
Yeah, you gotta like Nico Collins and basically any matchup,
but this is a pretty decent one. The Seahawks have
surrendered five wide receiver touchdowns over the last three games,
and I mentioned earlier their secondary just ravaged by injury
right now, So Nico a grade for him. I'm gonna
give Christian Kirk throw a Sea dart at Kirk. Seattle
has allowed the ninth most PPR points of per target

(01:17:00):
receiving yards per game to slot receivers this year, and
Kirk is a slot receiver, So a Sea grade for
him and a sever Dalton Schultz. The Seahawks have yielded
solid games to opposing tight ends in recent weeks. Juwan
Johnson Jack Stole combined for eight catches seventy plus yards
in a touchdown. Trey McBride caught seven balls for fifty
two yards the last week. Kay otten four catches for

(01:17:23):
eighty one yards. Not last week. That was a week five.
I'm sorry, but good games for tight ends against the Seahawks.
So Schultz gets to see. But I got a bench
both Nick Chubb and Woody Marx. It looked like Woody
Marx was about to take over the lead rollback prior
to Week six, but it was all Nick Chubb in
the first half. He didn't do much, but the Woody
Marx didn't do much either, neither. We'll probably do anything

(01:17:45):
against Seattle, who was allowed the second fewest rushing yards
per game and the lowest explosive run rate and yards
after contact per attempt to running backs so far. So
I got Chubb and Marx on the bench over the
Seahawks running back. Zach charbone Is might take a chance
on me running back. I listed all the reasons there.
It's a solid matchup for running backs. I was gonna

(01:18:07):
bench Kenneth Walker. I'll give him a ce because, like
you said, charge that the path least resistance is through
the ground against the Texans. So but man thirty five
percent snapshare for Kenneth Walker last week, just nineteen of
fifty five snaps played for Walker. I'll give him a
sympathy see here, just in the event he goes off,

(01:18:29):
and I'll get you know, hate tweets thrown my way.

Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
But I like sharbon Ay more than the two.

Speaker 1 (01:18:34):
He's clearly the goal line back among among this you
know split, and he's playing more snaps as of late.
So strong sea for Charbonay, sawt for Walker, strongest of
a's for Jackson Smith and JIGBA League winner right now. Essentially,
I don't care about the matchup. You got to start

(01:18:55):
him regardless. I'm not starting Cooper Cup though he sawesome
vintage Cup last week, beautiful touchdown catch or Sam Donald
put it on the button. My pants are sliding off
right now just thinking about it. But I'm leaning on
sitting Cup this week. Houston has allowed the six a
fewest PPR points per target and the eleventh fewest points
per game to slot receivers so far. So Cup is

(01:19:17):
on the bench as his tight end AJ Barner, who
has been an absolute beast to start the season. But
Houston allowing the fifth few was receiving yards per game
to tight ends Elijah Royo is still a threat to
steal some targets.

Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
So I got Barner on the bench. And even though.

Speaker 1 (01:19:33):
It's obviously not a great matchup for the passing game,
I do have to give my boy Sam Donald to
see he's got JSN to throw to. Here's one stat
for you. I could give you twenty stats on Donald
that are incredible so far, not surprising to me, of course,
but nineteenth in pass attempts he has thrown fewer passes
Sam Donald has than Mac Jones. But guess who's third

(01:19:56):
in passing yards in the whole league, Sam Donald?

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Sam Donald? Yes, my boy, C grade should be a B.
I'll given a B just for the hell of it.
I can't go with you on Donald on this one.

Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
This is the toughest matchup of his season against Houston.
They've allowed the fewest passing touchdowns just three all year,
the fifth fewest passing yards. I just I think this
is a tough matchup and you are Donald drunk, my
man that I can't trust your B grade on Sam Donald,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
We'll see, yeah, thor.

Speaker 3 (01:20:28):
Let's go to our final matchup Monday night, Tampa Bay
taking on Detroit.

Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
Is Brian done talking about Sam Donald yet? Can I start?

Speaker 6 (01:20:36):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:20:36):
Not yet.

Speaker 1 (01:20:37):
You're gonna give me a crap about talking about a
quarterback too much?

Speaker 5 (01:20:44):
Lines quarterback Jared Goff. He's a must start aide. Despite
some disappointing performances over the last month. He had fewer
than two hundred five passing our three of his last
four games. But this is a projected shootout big time here.
This is second to only that Commanders game. We were
just talking about. With a total on the NFL board
over fifty points. The Buccaneers ranked twenty third fantasy points

(01:21:06):
per game allowed to opposing quarterbacks and a group that
Brian just got torched by the aforementioned Sam Darnold in
Week five, where Sam through for three hundred and forty
one yards and four touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
I like Jerry goff to get back on track.

Speaker 5 (01:21:19):
David Montgomery, I'm gonna give him a se He's eclipsed
thirteen fantasy points in three of only Detroit six games.
Those were the three games where he was a startable
fantasy running back. I did find it interesting that the
Lions themselves seemed to acknowledge that that some ownership in
that for the inconsistency. Head coach Dan Campbell and assistant
head coach Scotty Montgomery both told the media this week

(01:21:40):
that they want to get Montgomery the ballmore, but Tampa
Bay run defense top ten in most metrics. That plus
needing to see the increased usage before I can believe it,
leads me to only a C grade on David Montgomery,
Jamier Gibbs, and Amanras Saint Browner obvious must start a's
Jamison Williams.

Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
I gave a B in this matchup.

Speaker 5 (01:21:59):
He had a season high six catches in Week six
at Kansas City and he scored only a second touchdown
of the year. Williams had five catches for seventy nine
yards on eleven targets against Tampa Bay in Week two
last year. This is going to be a high scoring game,
like I mentioned, so I bump him to a be.
Sam Laporte is a must start A. Moving over to
the Buccaneers, Baker Mayfield is obviously a must start A

(01:22:21):
and those MVP chants were for him. Rashad White gets
a B grade in this one. With Bucky Irving out,
White was excellent Week six against San Francisco with eighteen
PPR points. He's actually at forty points seven PPR points
you combine the game before that, the two games win
Bucky Irving's been out with that shoulder injury. White has
seven catches for fifty one yards on seven targets.

Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
Those last two games.

Speaker 5 (01:22:42):
And with a mega BUCA and Chris Godwin appearing to
be out for this game, and Mike Evans right now
a game time decision, Rashaw White's gonna be plenty used
in the passing game. The Lions are number six and
fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. But again
because of the usage here, I give Rashaw White a B.
Mention in a Mechaic book and Chris Godwin both appear
to be out for this weekend. Neither practice on Friday.

(01:23:06):
Evans with his hamstring injury. He was limited in practice
on Thursday, then he didn't practice on Friday.

Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
There are disparate theories for why that is.

Speaker 5 (01:23:14):
Some people think, you know, step back, he's not going
to play on Sunday. Some people think he was just
given a maintenance day after working it out on Thursday
because he's going to play on Monday. What we're just
going to have to see on that. I would give
him Mike Evans a B, though if he plays in
this game. We know that Sterling Shepherd's gonna play in
this game, and I'm gonna give him a C. He's
going to be in the slot there obviously has a
ton of familiarity with his former Sooner boy Baker Mayfield.

(01:23:37):
Shepherd's seen at least four targets in five of the
last six games, or five of the six games played
this season. Double digit fantasy points in two and especially
if Mike Evans isn't playing with that depreciated wide receiver
Corp Shepherd's gonna get plenty of targets. Mentioned before that test,
Johnson is might take a chance on me player, and
Kate Dotton was charge hits.

Speaker 2 (01:23:55):
Yes, who the heck is Cameron Johnson?

Speaker 3 (01:23:59):
At first, when I sucked Cameron Johnson's name pop up
Tampa Bay wide receiver like, oh, that's Tess Johnson's real name.
But it turns out Cameron Johnson's a totally different guy
who went to some school called Barton.

Speaker 2 (01:24:11):
Buccaneers don't know what Barton is.

Speaker 5 (01:24:13):
They have so many receiver injuries that the Madden Madden
is generating them players for their receiving cord this week
when when Sterling Shepard like, very well, could be your
your clear number two option. You've got some injuries there,
and Tess Johnson gonna he's gonna be spotlighted again here,
isn't he charging Tess Johnson a fun rookie?

Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
That's that might very well be the case here.

Speaker 3 (01:24:37):
Thanks for all your help, guys, Brian Thor Robbie Rosenhaus
