Speaker 1 (00:01):
Time now for Fantasy Football Weekly from iHeartRadio, your weekly
source for the nation's best fantasy speculation and advice.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Now here's your host, Paul Chargie. Welcome to Fantasy Football Weekly.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
I am Paul Charchie and my co hosts today are
Scott Fish and Canned why Rock.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Hey, guys, welcome back. Scott.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I think this is six out of seven shows for you.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
You're an iron man.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Yes, yes, uh, slightly less of an iron man than you,
who has done all but one show in thirty one years.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Well, and that I think that might have been a
COVID show.

Speaker 5 (00:42):
As I recall it, I do remember what it is,
but we can move on.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Okay, yeah, oh it was the Herpie.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Oh yeah, right here right, we're not talking about that, Yes.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Not talking about that.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Uh, Kent. Good to have you back as well. We've
got a lot to get to over the course of
this show. It's the first of the bye and that
means there's added importance, especially for Take a Chance on Me,
where we help you unearthed players that can help you
through the bye weeks. This week, we'll also answer three
tough questions. We'll give you premature speculation, which has been

(01:14):
on fire lately what he Marx has come up, a
number of others. We'll talk about talk through some of
the players you want to pick up now, and we'll
break down all the games on the schedule, and Scott,
you are up first this week.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Let's just get this out of the way.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
We'll tear the band aid off this matchup, the Titans
taking on the Cardinals. The Titans are the worst team
in the league by a margin, not close, and any
week now could be the last week for Brian Callahan.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Potentially.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yeah, I don't have a lot of starting grades here
in the run game. I my patented volume C grade
for Tony Pollard. It sounds like Taj Spears is getting
close but not quite ready. They're being really cautious with him,
so he'll not likely not play again this week. Pollard's
averaging nineteen plus touches. The last three backfields have gone
over one hundred yards against this Cardinals team. Other Titans

(02:08):
backs haven't had more than two touches in any game,
so it's gonna be all Pollard. And he's had five
catches in the last two games despite only being targeted
nine times all year. Thirty percent of the fantasy points
running when the cards are in the past game, so
maybe he gets a little work there. C grade on
Tony Pollard. The only other starting grade here is Iomanner.

(02:31):
I'm giving a C two. Ridley's missing practice sounds like
he's not even gonna go missed a lot of last
week with the knee and elbow injuries. Tyler Lockett jumped
in his place and got zero targets. He just ran
around all day, So Iomanner is the one who will
most likely see the benefit. He's had five plus targets
in every game, leads the team in end zone targets.

(02:54):
He's gonna get that tough draw with rookie Will Johnson,
who in the first two weeks was PFF's ninth grade.
Ninth ranked corner missed the last two weeks with the injury,
but he's back this week. Ignored Chicka Konku as well
as they want to get Gunner hell more involved, and
Chick didn't even do that much with before over On
the other side, Kyler Murray's getting a C grade. In

(03:15):
the past game, He's one hundred and eighty five yards
passing a game with just one game over two hundred
yards is rough, but he's adding thirty to forty yards
on the ground. The Titans are allowing a healthy two
hundred and sixty seven yards and one and a half
scores to opposing quarterbacks, and each of the last three
that faced them topped eighteen fantasy points, and you can argue,
you could make an argument Murray is the best of

(03:36):
those quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
So a C grade there. Trey McBride's getting that auto A.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Only Bowers has a higher tight end target share double
digit points every week. Cards are top ten against tight ends,
but really they've only been tested by one tight end
and that was Tyler Warren and he did just fine.
So yeah, Marvin Harrison is getting a B grade. Lead
receivers against the Titans are averaging seventy six. Harrison is
averaging seven for fifty two. They've allowed a wide receiver

(04:05):
score every single week. He's gonna get that Lugarious sneaed shadow,
but Mike Evans and DK Metcalf did okay against that,
and he's not really the shadow corner he was three
years ago, especially after that injury. So B grade on Harrison,
and then we come to Michael Carter and.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Amario de Marcado.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
It's kind of a spot where I'd almost bench both,
but I think that there's enough enough room here in
this matchup to give them both seas. Titans are allowing
the fourth most fantasy points to back. Just last week,
we saw Woodie Marx, Your take a Chance on Me
player from last week just absolutely go off, especially in
the past game, an area where Amari excels. Michael Carter's

(04:45):
also good. Sounds like Michael Carter is the starter and
we'll be first and second down guy. There might be
enough volume, and as ten point favorites, they may be
running a lot late in that game, So I'm giving
se grades to both those running backs.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
What makes you think Michael Carter might be the starter? Scott?

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Oh, maybe because he said it to a Beat reporter.
It's question there because I sussed that one out early
early in the week that Carter could be the starter there.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Yes, and then Carter announced that he was going from
practice squad to the starters, So I guess we've got
that one answered. I still think Amri de Mercado's absolutely startable.
You mentioned Calvin Ridley, Scott, Yeah, we haven't talked about
him enough as one of the epic disappointments of this year.
There are a lot of people that thought cam Ward
was going to be enough of a quarterbacking upgrade, that

(05:34):
Calvin Ridley was going to be substantially better than he
was last year, and he had started to come on
in the second half of last season. It's been a
wreck for Calvin Ridley, fortunately, and it doesn't look like
it's getting any better in this offense. All right, let's
go from that game to a game that should be
a little bit better anyway, the Raiders taking on the
Colts Kent Ashton genty Finally with the big breakout game

(05:56):
that we've been waiting for. Broke, I believe at eleven
tackles in one game, really really impressive performance. Do you
believe he keeps it going here in a Sterner test
against the Colts.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah, he definitely showed up as advertised. But I am
only going to give him a B grade this week.

Speaker 6 (06:14):
You know.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Last week, like you said, twenty one attempts for one
hundred and thirty eight and a score on the ground,
and he also caught two targets and oh both of
those were touchdowns too. I guess that's pretty good. The
Colts allowed the second highest rushing rate excuse me, rushing
success rate in the league, so it's gonna be a
little bit of a nice matchup for him. But they're
also twenty eighth in yards before contact allowed, so it's

(06:36):
kind of an interesting dichotomy there.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
But this Raiders' offensive line is still light ability.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
They are twenty eighth in run block win rate, thirtieth
in yards before contact and lasting stuffed run percentage. Not
to mention, they're also going to be missing their left tackle,
Colton Miller, who is now on IR and I think,
you know, translating that into what we do with Gino
Smith bench him, I mean you don't want to see
him in a starting lineup. He threw three ugly interceptions
against the lowly Bears secondary last week. He has the

(07:02):
third lowest PFF passing grade and is tied for third
with eight turnover worthy plays so far this season. The
Colts allow the tenth lowest EPA per dropbacks, so they're
pretty tight, not not super tight, but pretty good. And
he's only been a top twelve quarterback just once through
four weeks. You do not want to play him if
you have any opportunity. Otherwise, some of his pass catchers,
I guess there's some opportunity Jacoby Myers should see an

(07:24):
uptick in targets. Well, I was gonna say a Bowers
can't go, but it's announced that Pete Carroll thinks Bowers
will play. We'll get to him in a second for
a grade, but I think Meyers should see a little
uptick in targets. The indie slot cornerback Kennymore will be
out within achilles injury as well. Myers runs sixty four
percent of his routes from the slot, so that's an
opportunity there for him. He's quietly twelfth in targets on

(07:46):
the season, has had at least four receptions or sixty
three plus receiving yards in every single game, so.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
He's been quietly okay.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
I haven't really seen the upside on him yet, So
be great, I think is all he deserves. Trey Tucker,
we're gonna bench him despite his Week three explosion. He
just can't be trusted. He fell back to earth with
just two targets last week against Like I said, that
wimpy secondary that the Chicago has been doling out, and
he's likely to draw coverage from Shaveria's ward given that
you know Jacoby Myers will be in the slot, so

(08:13):
he's only allowed forty six yards in coverage so far
this year. Dante Thornton is a bench as well, hasn't
cleared four targets yet, you know, third in terms of
the depth chart on the wide receivers there, and then
Brock Bauers. This was tough because it's such a weird situation.
I'm gonna give him a C grade. I think if
he plays, you start him. But you can't feel that
good about a guy who started as a limited practice

(08:33):
and then did not participate two days in a row
on Thursday and Friday. Even if Pete Carroll says he's
gonna play, that's a rough look. So the targets per
game this year have just been six point eight compared
to his nine per game last year, and his last
three weeks he havn't crested five receptions or forty six
receiving yards.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
It's been a tough look for him so far this year.
It happens to you know.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
The hope here is that is that Bowers is going
to be a bigger part of this offense once the
knee finally gets right. And so I think we're all
ready you know right now, and at least in my mind,
I'm like, well, I'm not ready to say that he's
a bad fit in a Pete Carroll offense yet, because
we don't know how much the.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Knee is really limiting him. Yeah, I totally agree.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
And you know, if he does play, you start him
because you probably don't have much of a better option.
And if he doesn't play, you could maybe throw a
dart at Michael Mayer, but you don't feel good about
that either. On the Indianapolis side of the ball, the
Daniel Jones led offense is going to keep on going here.
We're going to give him a B grade. We saw
a little bit of the vintage Daniel Jones last week
against the Rams. He had two interceptions and a fumble

(09:31):
in that game. The turnover problems has really followed him
throughout his career. He still has not notched a game
with multiple passing touchdowns, which is kind of unbelievable giving
how well he's playing. But the Raiders are allowing the
ninth most EPA per drop back and the tenth most
passing yards per game, so it's a pretty good spot
for him. His two best games were Week one to
two that was against primarily man coverage, and the Raiders

(09:52):
run the second lowest amount of man coverage on just
ten percent of play, so it's going to be an
interesting matchup there. Jonathan Taylor gets a B his two
weekly at Sagan.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
That's it. Just the B grade, Just a B grade.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, he has two weekly running back one titles to
his name and hasn't had fewer than ninety six scrim
yards in a week. But the Raiders are surprisingly stout
against the run, seventh fewest fantasy points per game allowed
to running backs, second in EPA per rush allout third
and stuffed run percentage, and eighth in ESPN's run stop
win rates. So you're playing him, but his upside is
just gonna be a little bit captain. This game doesn't

(10:26):
quite deserve the A. Michael Pittman gets a B. He
gets a B. He's limited Thursday with a hamstring injury,
but it sounds like he is going to play in
this game. He's coming off a ten target game, something
that didn't happen until Week seventeen last year, which is
kind of crazy, and he's had forty plus yards every
single week this year, scored a touchdown in three out
of a four. He's tied with Tyler Warren, leading the

(10:48):
team in red zone targets for the Colts as well,
so B grade for him. Josh Downs, I'm gonna give
a seed two. He's untrustworthy, but you've only got one
game with five targets from him so far. But the
slot corner back Darnay Holmes is allowing the third most
yards per snap, and I believe that Josh Downs pretty
much has to make the most of this opportunity to
make any kind of headway in terms of target chair

(11:10):
on his team for the rest of the season. Alec
Pierce is a bench You hope for a bomb TD
if you are playing him in a pinch, but I
don't want to play him in most leagues.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
And then Tyler Warren gets a B grade.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
He's had five plus targets ever since game seventy plus
yards at three out of four games, and he's fourth
in targets at the tight end position.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Great rookie tight end.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
And he's also got that sneaky red zone rushing TD
that Thor liked to talk about during the off season.
They knew that was coming. So he's getting a B
grade in this game. As well.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
All right, Vikings take on the Browns.

Speaker 3 (11:41):
This is an early matchup, and boy did people get
destroyed on the Nasei Harris not Nigie Harris, sorry, Jalen Warren.
Surprise inactive last week with the early start, you're on
the West coast, you roll out of bed and find
out out of the blue.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Jalen Warren's not that was a big.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Big contributor to a lot of losses and a lot
of guillotine chops last week. This week, Brown's taking in
the Vikings. I don't think there's as much drama with
any of the players here, except these are arguably the
two best defenses in the NFL playing win. The over
under in this game is just thirty six points. Is
that's the lowest number of the Vikings have been involved
in in twenty years. I've got a B grade coming

(12:24):
on Justin Jefferson, C grades on Jordan Addison and Jordan Mason,
and bench grades on everybody else. And I'm trying something
new because last week I missed grades on like three guys.
So now I'm gonna try something new where I'm gonna
give out all the grades at the beginning and then
talk about the guys in particular. So let's see how
this goes, and then maybe I don't end up dropping

(12:45):
three grades out of nowhere. So let's art with Justin Jefferson,
just the B grade. He always started him, but there's
a lot working against him. Offensive line is gonna be
missing three players, and the backup to one of the
three players. Somebody is gonna be starting at center who've
never played the center position for the Vikings, and I
just don't see deep drops coming for Carson Wentz against

(13:07):
a very good defense with a bad defensive offensive line,
and so it's gonna be a lot of quick reads
for Wentz and short balls don't generate many fantasy points.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
And the Brown secondary has been good anyway.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
No receivers top seventy five yards, and outside receivers have
been especially steinmy by Cleveland, including Jamar Chase who was
held to just twenty six yards. Be great on Justin Jefferson.
For Jordan Addison really for all the same reasons. I
don't like him, and he'll get I don't like him
much here and he'll get even less targets and all probability.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
I've just got the C grade on him.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
It was good to see him run a team high
fifty two routes last week, although he should have scored
a touchdown, did not manage to convert that one. The
other parts of the Vikings passing game are on the bench,
including TJ. Hokinson with three missing offensive linemen, and here
comes Miles Garrett. I'm worried TJ. Howkinson is just gonna block.

(13:59):
With the injuries last week on the Vikings offensive line,
Hockinson's pass blocking snaps doubled, and it's easy to see
him at best like chipping on Miles Garrett and then
going out into his route, and that means you're gonna
get short catches from Hockinson who's now late in getting
into routes. So last week because a dot was just
four point six yards, and that's what I think is
gonna happen here. I've got Hockinson on the bench for

(14:21):
this one, and I don't think I think you know
enough not to start Carson Wentz behind this battered offensive line.
As for Jordan Mason, hard to bench a team's workhorse runner,
but this is his toughest matchup of the entire year.
Offensive line woes will affect him as well.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
And then there's the great Cleveland run defense.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
They're the only team that's posting negative yards before contact.
That means opposing runners are getting hit behind the line,
behind the line of scrimmage. They ranked number one in
yards per carry just two point seven. That's half a
yard better than the second Beast run defense and far
better runners than Jordan Mason, who you know, I love

(15:01):
Jordan Mason. Have been smoked Derrick Henry twenty three yards,
Josh Jacobs thirty yards, David Montgomery last week, You're raced
with twelve yards. Jordan Mason just the C grade in
the hopes that he gets a goal line carry in
this game, brownside, this will not take very long. Dylan
Gabriel is your starting quarterback. Obviously you're not going to

(15:22):
start him, but note that defensive coordinator Brian Flores is
going to put his brain in a blender with pre
snap looks and it could be very ugly here.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
He's going to show a lot.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Of a lot of defensive looks that will probably confuse Gabriel,
and Gabriel doesn't have a big arm anyway, so it's
gonna be a lot of First wed, is your man open?
Throw the ball? If he's not open, look to your
second reader. Just throw it away and that's gonna be
the end of it. For Dylan Gabriel, I don't see
much happening here through the passing game. Jerry Judy moves
to the bench as well. Judy is the league's pre

(15:54):
eminent ball dropper. Four drops already for Jerry Judy. Cedar
Tillman is on IR and that means Judy's gonna get
a lot of Isaiah Rodgers. He is Pro Football focuses
number one ranked coverage cornerback, so he goes on the
bench as well. And then David and Joku and Harold
Fannin are cannibalizing each other a bit.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
They can be on the field at the same time.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
They're gonna get some short passes here, and the Vikings
are missing two linebackers who would normally get tight end
coverage duty. I could see a lot of fast dump
offs from Gabriel, Tune and Joku and Fannin, but I
don't in totality think it's going to add up to
very much S grade. If you're you know, I'll give
him a bye week Sea grade for Ndjoku and Fanin.

(16:37):
Fannin lines up outside and in the slot a lot
and Joko's staying in the block.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
They could both get I guess enough.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
Work in a bye week where you could consider him,
but I don't see explosive upside.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
And then there's Quinn Shawn Judkins.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
He has been very good and the Browns path to
victory in this game is very clear. De emphasize Gabriel
Dylan Gabriel in his first start greatly, and start giving
the ball to quinch On Judkins, who could see the
ball twenty five times in this game. Run Jenkins at
every opportunity. The Vikings lost last week they couldn't stop
Kenny Gainwell, a less talented back. Judkins has been very good,

(17:12):
averaging almost five yards per carry and an impressive four
yards after contacts, second highest number in the league. The
Vikings far easier to run upon than pass upon. Quinch
On Judkins a grade. Isaiah bond temptinks he's gonna get
extra work, but we're gonna wait until we have a
more favorable matchup.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
I talked about him later too.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
By the way, did you know Brian Flora's defenses undefeated
against first and second year quarterbacks?

Speaker 2 (17:38):
That is amazing. That's an amazing stat right there.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
You do not want your novice quarterback going up against
Brian Flores and Joe Flaccos looked bad. But I think
Kevin Stefanski may have pulled the trigger a week early
on this quarterback switch. Find out as we continue on
Fantasy Football Weekly, it's time next segment for take a

(18:02):
chance on me nine players you would not normally start.
You need them in this bye week. Let's take a
chance on these nine guys. When we come back to
Fantasy Football Weekly.

Speaker 7 (18:24):
Take a chance, take a chance on me, nine players
that you would not normally start.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Many of these players available on the waiver wire. It's
a bye week.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
You need these guys, and we're ear to dole them out,
beginning with Scott Fish, who is your take a chance
on me quarterback.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
Weirdly, this guy's owned in like sixty nine percent of
league something like that, which is insane. But Justin Fields
is gonna explode this week. I know he's kind of exploded.
In his two healthy games. The Cowboys are allowing three
hundred and ten yards passing and thirty yards rushing to
opposing quarterbacks. They're also allowing three scores per game two

(19:09):
quarterbacks three full on scores per game to quarterbacks.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
Fields.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
Passing yards has been in the low two hundreds in
his two fall games, but he had a passing score
and a rushing score in each game, and this is
just a ridiculous matchup for him.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Very positive.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
I've got Justin Fields his quarterback five in my rankings
this week.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Kent, who is your take a chance on me quarterback?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Sam Darnold against the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers. I think this is one of the more
obvious examples of the film being better than the stats
so far through this year. Film analists all over Twitter
have said.

Speaker 6 (19:38):
So.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
It's backed up by his fourth in PFF passing grades
so far this year, and he's only had two interceptions
and both of them were actually pretty immaculate defensive plays too,
so weren't really directly because of him. And it appears
that two to three members of the secondary and Tampa
Bay are gonna miss this game due to injuries. Not
to mention, the Seahawks are missing some big defensive names
as well, so could end up in a twenty eighteen

(20:01):
NFL Draft prospect gun slinging showdown.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
I like it Sam Darnold, take a chance with me, player.
I'm going with CJ. Stroud, Houston quarterback. We've sort of
relegated him to sort of second tier, third tier quarterback status.
But man, if you can't do it now, when will you.
Ravens are the opponent. They're missing all three starting cornerbacks.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
And honestly, it feels like they're missing fourteen or like
twelve of their eleven starters at this point.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Yeah, their defense and totality could be missing half the defense.
Six players may not go, including starting safety Kyle Hamilton.
Ravens have allowed the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks,
including multiple touchdowns in three of four games, and the
fifth most passing yards overall plus matchups all over the place.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
For CJ.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Stroud, let's go to the running back position. Scott, who
you got? I'm going with the Dowdler.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
I'm going with the Rico Dowdler here today, Miami has
given up over one hundred and fifty yards per game,
with the lead back going over one hundred in every
single week. That said, it was Jonathan Taylor, James Cook,
Breese Hall, some pretty good ones.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
The fourth was the New York Triplets, but.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Stevenson even had one hundred and forty two yards against them.
Just an absolutely ridiculous matchup. And Chuba Hubbard is gonna
miss this one, leaving Rico Dowdler, ric o'doddell with all
the carries, all the touches.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
I don't want to be called the Dowdler. That sounds
like something you end up in jail for. Happened to you?
All right? Ken, who's you take a chance with me
running back?

Speaker 1 (21:37):
I'm gonna go with Rashad White playing against the Seahawks
in the aforementioned game, Bucky Irving is officially out. Sounds
like he could miss a few more weeks after that
as well. We're not quite sure. But lest we forget that,
Rashan White had fifteen and thirty nine scrimmage yards in
twenty twenty three, Well, Shawn Tucker was on the team.
Mind you, granted last year Sean Tucker did play better
limited action, but even this season with Bucky playing, Rashad

(22:01):
White averages five point eight attempts and two point three
targets per game in a complimentary role, seventy one percent
of long down and distance snaps, and he played twenty
five percent of the two minute drill snaps, and he
also has the best rushing yards over expectation on the
team so far this year, Baker's playing some good football.
The Bucks have been healthy the old line again with
the worst it's back. He's trusted as a pass blocker

(22:24):
and as a receiver. His playing time should be high
and he'll be blessed with all you.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
I believe Sean Tucker.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Also, if you need a deeper, good dive, sure shot
white John Tucker's appsolute a green play here too.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
I'm with ken Kendrey Miller against the Giants.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
We had all written off Kendrey Miller's career, and I think,
honestly for good reason. But then last week he's coming
off his best game as a pro. He looked fantastic.
And if you didn't watch last week's Saints game, and
I don't blame you for never watching Saints games, you
missed a fantastic outing by Kendrey Miller that was far
better than his box score looks. He broke five tackles

(22:57):
in one game to put a comparison, and Derek Henry's
had four broken tackles this year, so five and one
game is awfully good.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
You want a secondary factor that he's got twelve missed
forced tackles on twenty eight attempts this year.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Wow, that's awesome.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
That is an amazing ratio for Kendrey Miller. You know,
his snaps and his attempts were at the highest level
last week that they had been in two years. His
usage is on the uptick. And then there's this little
X factor. Tell me you guys, think if the Saints
think they're going to trade away Alvin Kamara, right, Saints
aren't going to the playoffs, Kamara could be a valuable
asset to the Chiefs or somebody else. Do they wind

(23:35):
back his carries to keep him healthy and keep the
trade value high?

Speaker 6 (23:39):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (23:41):
Interesting there.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
I think that's valid because you don't really need to
showcase Kamara anymore.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
We all kind of know what he is, so I
think at this point we're very clear on what he is.
Giants are the opponent.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
They're allowing the fourth most rushing yards one hundred and
sixteen per game, and they've allowed the second most rushing
touchdowns Kendray Miller. All right, let's go to the receivers.
Scott who used your take a chance on me receiver?

Speaker 4 (24:02):
You know I was thinking of pairing up Mason Taylor
with Justin Fields in this segment, but I once I
was doing the matchups, I'm like, I just got to
do my boy Jameson Williams. The Bengals have allowed fourteen
explosive plays this year. James and Williams had a whopping
one hundred and ninety five unrealized air yards last week,
and at third of the targets they keep targeting him deep.

(24:25):
I think that maybe this is the week that some
of those air yards get realized. They're also bottom ten
in yards receptions and fantasy points to wide receivers, and
Jameson Williams himself fourth in the NFL in yards after
the catch per reception.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Not bad, and I guess not a total surprise either.
I like it calling your shot on Jameson Williams. A
quiet start to the season for him, but it could
come together. Here, Kent your take a chance to me
wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I'm gonna go with Jalen Tilbert playing against the New
York Jets. You know, obviously, Ceedee Lamb's out and gonna
miss a couple of games. It's unfortunate, but last year
when Lamb missed the final two games of the year.
Tolbert posted double digit Fantasy points in both games, and
those were with Cooper Rush and Trey Lance starting, so
he's got a little bit better quarterback situation now and
after Ceedee Lamb left the game. This last time he played,

(25:12):
Tolbert ran the second most routes for the Cowboys at
an eighty three percent clip. Well, Cavante Turpin was just
at sixty eight percent. Sounds like he may not even
play in this game. Yeah, is that confirmed?

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Okay? Perfect?

Speaker 1 (25:23):
So even better, Tolbert caught four of six targets for
sixty one yards in a game that really turned into
the George Pickens Show last week, and it's probably.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Not going to be their plan going forward.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Not to mention, the Jets are allowing the third most
EPA per drop back and are twenty six. Then explosive
passing plays allowed. Tolbert's in a good spot.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
So going into Thursday Night's game, one of my guarantine
leagues I needed to start either Tolbert, you take a
chance with me, guy, or.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Kendrick Bourne. Yeah. I was afraid that was coming.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
Yep, and I Tolberg, you better be right, Ken I
need you to be right, I need a big, awesome
and I like Poorn enough to pick him up before
the game, but not.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
To start him.

Speaker 3 (26:14):
My take a chance to me receiver is Christian Kirk
again going up against Baltimore. I already told you Baltimore's
missing all of their starting cornerbacks and includes their slot
cornerback Marlin Humphrey. His replacement is an undrafted rookie named
Keon Martin who has been targeted seven times in light
duty so far and he's given up seven receptions.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
And a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
This is an incredibly plus matchup for Christian Kirk. And
the funny thing is when the Ravens don't use their
traditional slot corner to cover the slot receiver, they use
Rokwan Smith who's out, or they use Kyle Hamilton, who
may not play in this game, so one way or another,
Christian Kirk is very favorable coverage in this one. They

(26:57):
allow the most fantasy points to slow receivers in the league.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Christian Kirk, I love him this week.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
All right, Let's get back to our matchups and the
next matchup is the Dallas Cowboys taking on the New
York Jets. Scott Cowboys have the most yards per game
of any offense in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
They got the highest pass rate there. The running backs
are touching the ball twenty plus times. Dak leads the
league in completions, attempts, and passing yards. There's just a
constant pace of play with those guys. A grades on
Dak Prescott, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson. I'm pulling a
move out of your book from last segment charge. I

(27:38):
like it one of the highest over unders of the week,
and both of these teams are allowing quarterbacks with to
a one nine or higher passer ratings, so there might
be some shootout going on here. The Jets do allow
excuse me, the Jets allow the third most explosive plays
as well. Should be really lights up or lights out
for Dak Prescott and George Pickens.

Speaker 5 (28:01):
That good days.

Speaker 4 (28:02):
Pickens will get the Sauce shadow but two of the
four that Sauces shadowed had double digit Fantasy days. Pickens
is kind of the main guy is going to get
a lot of volume. He should be able to overcome
that and maybe avoid him at times. Jake Ferguson leads
in tight ends and targets receptions, Jets are middle of
the pack, but even Waller scored two touchdowns against them. Yeah,

(28:25):
A grade there. Javonte Williams also gett an A grade here.
He's averaging twenty touches, as I kind of mentioned, for
just under one hundred yards, no games under fifteen touches.
He's had ninety two or more yards in three straight
He's scored in three of the four games. And the
Jets are allowing the third most touches to running backs.
The last three lead backs against the Jets went for

(28:45):
one hundred and one yards, ninety nine yards, and one
hundred and thirty five yards, two of them scoring. And
of course Jalen Tolbert was Kent's take a chance on
me player. Over on the Jets side, Justin Fields was
going to take a chance on me player. And I
have a couple other eight grades here. I got volume
hog Garrett Wilson with an A grade. Cowboys are allowing

(29:06):
over two hundred yards to wide receivers per game and
have given up a wide receiver score nine times in
four games. Times you say nine times, I say the
Cowboys ulto the league being allowing seven pass.

Speaker 5 (29:20):
Plays over forty yards.

Speaker 6 (29:22):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
The twenty eight teams have three or fewer of those
than the Cowboys have allowed seven. Mason Taylor's going to
get a C grade. I could have been talked into
a bee. He's dinged up, but he should go. He's
had thirteen targets in the last two games. He's the
second leading target getter on this team. He's fields number
two option. The Cowboys have held down tight ends, but
even Tucker Craft had five for fifty four, So I

(29:47):
think Taylor should be fine here.

Speaker 5 (29:48):
In the run game.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
With Braylan Allen out, all that preseason buzz of sharing
never really materialized anyway, and it's definitely not going too
for Isaiah Davis. So this is going to be all
Breeze Hall A grade for Hill Hall. In the two
fields games, Hull went for one hundred and forty five
yards and one hundred and eleven yards, averaging twenty touches.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
Yeah, this could be a very good game for Breese Hall.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
I like the prospects here, probably the most optimal matchup
he will have all year.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
Cowboys allow over one hundred and forty yards a game
to running backs, then it's gonna.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Be allbrating, absolutely another Cowboys shootout.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Probably coming when we come back. In Fantasy Football Weekly,
the Bucks take on the Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Buccaneers depleted at wide receiver Baker Mayfield, normally an auto start.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Do you like him this week? Find out when we
come back.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly. Paul Charchie and Scott Fish
and Kent Wyrock with you. You can follow us on
Twitter at Scottfish twenty four, I am at Paul Charchian
and Kent.

Speaker 6 (30:59):
At h.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Just like it sounds, you'll have no trouble figuring that
part out. We think we are thrilling follows on Twitter,
Let's go to the Bucks saying in the Seahawks, Kent,
we already broke down the Bucks running game, so let's
flip over to the passing offense. Short several players, but
Chris Godwin had ten targets in his first game back,
which shocked me.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah, he's definitely got some rust to shake off, but
I would say some of the peripherals are pretty solid.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
I'm going to give him a B grade here.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
He did see ten targets in this game, but only
caught three of them, despite a sixty percent catchable ball rate,
which was higher than Egbuca.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
He total just twenty six yards.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
He had a fifty three receiving grade from PFF, and
his fifteen point one to eight DOT was nearly double
his recent history. His higher air yards than Agbuka in
this game as well. A lot of it was really nice.
It just didn't really materialize in the end. And those
targets are just too valuable, and I trust in Godwin's
ability and play style to persist through that, So I'll
give him a B grade and Mechagbuka or should I

(32:01):
say Machagbuke is getting an A.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Witherspoon is missing this game.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
That should be pretty huge as far as there's gonna
be some other defensive pieces missing as well.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Abuka's targets have.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Increased each week this year, even with Godwin's return, culminating
ten targets for four receptions one hundred four yards excuse you,
a hundred one yards and a score last week. And
Buka also had a higher wide alignment percentage and a
DOT in this game with Godwin back, So it sounds
like they're going to use him a little bit different
way now that we have Godwin working out of the
slot a little bit more. He's tied for third in

(32:35):
touchdowns among all wide receivers, in first in touchdowns twenty
plus yards, and the Bucks have attempted only four total
red zone plays against Excuse me, No, the Bucks only
attempted four red zone plays against the Eagles, and that
numbers should be higher against a hindered Seahawks defense. Excuse
me throwing him the ball is gonna be Baker Mayfield,
who's in a pretty good spot here.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
I'm going to give him a B grade.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
He is doing well with Chris Godwin back in the lineup,
through for two hundred and eighty nine yards and two
touchdowns last week with an interception. He played that Philly
defense pretty tight. But he is tied for fifth and
turnover worthy play percentage despite just one interception on the season,
and he's seventeenth in passing grade. So there's some underlying
concerns with his game right now. He scored above twenty

(33:18):
fantasy points just once in four weeks so far.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
The Seahawks will be down.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Devon Witherspoon ass mentioned Julian Love and DeMarcus Lawrence though,
so he has an opportunity here, but he's get a
B grade. Then let's talk about the run game. A
little bit Rashad Way was might take a chance on me.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
He'll get the B grade. Sean Tucker just a little
bit extra.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
He's only had one rushing attempt this year, but last
year he had a six point two yards per carry.
He's going to get a C grade in this game.
I think he's in an OK spot. If you're in
a desperation play. Looking at the Seahawks side of things,
Sam Darnold might take a chance on me.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
He gets a B grade as well.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
The only reason he's not getting an A here is
because of the Seahawks commitment to their run game, and
for good reason, they are the second lowest pass rate
over expectation right now.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Going to give him the be there.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
Kenneth Walker, speaking of that run game, the tales of
a split backfield were slightly over exaggerated entering this season.
Walker leaves sharps in run grade, rush yards over expectations
for Smith's tackles per attempt, explosive rush rate, yards after
contact per attempt, and red zone efficiency. Because of this,
he outrushed Charbed nineteen to twelve last week, and the
first time the season he's actually done that with both

(34:23):
played the Seahawks are third in EPA per excuse me,
the Buccaneers a third and EPA per attempt allowed and
lowest rushing plays allowed. However, they did allow the most
receiving yards to the excuse me running backs in the league,
so that's gonna be a good spot for Walker. Zach Charbone,
I'm just gonna give a ce He's getting work, but
he's not doing much other than getting the touchdowns. He's

(34:45):
got a two point five yards per carrying a negative
one point three rushing yards over expectation per attempt. His
receiving work is capped a little bit due to Kenneth
Walker's involvement there, and he does get third down in
two minute drill snaps, but it's kind of hard to
bake on that efficiency against the stout Seahawks defense.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Jackson Smith and Jigbug gets a B grade here.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
His targets have dipped slightly, and that correlates with him
moving outside. Games one and two he was seventy one
percent wide with twenty two targets, and games three and
four he was eighty four percent wide targets with eleven targets.
He's still playing great, though, third among all receivers with
three point nine yards per route run. He's getting a
B grade here in this game, and then Cooper Cup
gets a C. He's just been kind of rough overall,

(35:24):
only one game with more than five targets and thirty
one yards running only slightly fewer routes in JSN, but
the nineteen percent targets per route runches isn't gonna get
it done. With a very low six point six to
eight dot. Tory Horden, I'm on a bench. She's got
low volume. The two touchdowns are nice, but they're unsustainable.
And then aj Barner and Elijah Arroyo are a bench.
They're split almost perfectly even you just can't trust either

(35:46):
of them right now.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
And I looked at making a move at one of
those Seattle tight ends, and that's what the same conclusion
I came up with is that's a split used tight
end situation, and you can't.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Have half of a tight end.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Look at John Husmith and Bat Pryormouth as examples of
guys that used to have value until they ended up
on the same team. All right, let's go to the
Texans taking on the Ravens. Here's your grades for the Texans.
A grade for Nico Collins and c. J. Stroud, who
might take a jansome quarterback, B grades for Nick Chubb,
Woody Marx, and Christian Kirk who is might take a

(36:17):
chance of receiver, and a C grade for Dalton Schultz.
In this game, let's go to Nico Collins obvious A grade.
He is my number two overall player at every position.
This week elite start against a deeply battered secondary as
described earlier. As for Dalton Schultz, the Ravens have allowed
the fifth most tight end receptions. Four different tight ends

(36:40):
have tops forty yards against them. And then the loss
of linebacker Rokwan Smith is going to help Shultz, although
they should get back linebacker Kyle van Noy who can
help defend Sheltz. Sheltz is a very pliable, plausible by
week helper this week, and so if you're if you've
got tight end issues, I think Dalton s Sheltz is
the guy to go get off the waiver wire. And

(37:00):
then that really just leaves us with the running game,
which has got a great opportunity. I love Nick Chubb
and Woody Marks I both get bees in a split backfield.
Marx made his move last week. We talked about him
on this show. And this is definitely I think it's
a peacock worthy because last week at this time we
were saying, hey, you're gonna have to spect you to
put in Woody Mark. This is such a good chance

(37:20):
right here, and he paid off last week. And Marx
is a very smooth, agile receiver. Last week's Mark saw
five targets, he got fifty yards through the air, and
he scored through the air.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
That is possible here too.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
And contrary to the larger fantasy community, Nick Chubb is
not dead. He remains the starting running back against a
defense that's allowed the most fantasy points to running backs
and a league were seven rushing touchdowns and they and
the Ravens loss defensive tackle NMDI not a BK and
that is a huge loss for them. To remember, we

(37:54):
are two weeks removed from the Lions runners rolling up
two hundred and sixty yards on the Ravens. So both
Nick Chubb and Woody Marks excellent starts here. Going over
to the Ravens side, I've got no A grades. I've
got a B grade on Derrick Henry, C grade on
Za Flowers, Justice Hill and Mark Andrews. Everybody else is

(38:14):
on the bench. Cooper Rush is your starter for this one.
Lamar Jackson has been ruled out with his hamstring injury.
This is a crippling blow for a team that if
you start one in four, I believe your chance of making.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
The playoffs is one percent.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
And that's what the Ravens are looking at with Cooper
Rush as their quarterback. So let's go to Derrick Henry here.
Despite playing all four games, Derrick Henry ranks seventy sixth
in broken tackles.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
He has four on the season.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
Kyle Mnung Guy has five broken tackles and he's carried
the ball seventeen times in his NFL career. Also, Henry
fumbled in three or four games Cooper Rush at the helm.
So I think you can safely say the Texans are
going to work extra hard to take Derrick Henry out
of this game. But the Ravens' best chance for victory
is to get a signature classic Derrick Henry game going,

(39:06):
and I think they're gonna run him a lot. Houston's
pass rush and secondary excellent, their run defense is middle
of the pack. Henry here, I think gonna see twenty
ish carries hopefully can break some tackles. I've got a
B grade on him in a game where they just
have to get him going at all costs. As the
passing game with Cooper Rush at the helm, everybody goes
down a letter grade or two.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
In this one. Jay Flowers some slumps to a C grade.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
He's posted seven receptions in three or four games, which
has always been a limiting factor for Jay Flowers not
getting enough targets. But here I think he They've been
working to get him more and hopefully that'll be the case.
The problem is Jay Flowers, who runs from all parts
of the field. Normally they can find good matchups for him.
But Houston's entire secondary is good. They're cornerbacks Jalen Petrie

(39:53):
and Kamari Lassiter, Derek Stingley all good. So I can
only get to a C grade on Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews.
So I went back to Cooper Rush last year and saw, like,
how much did Cooper Rush use Jake Ferguson last year.
Ferguson exploding with targets this year. Last year totally overlooked

(40:15):
in Cooper Rush's starters starts and he started half the season.
Remember Cooper Rush did Jake Ferguson did not score one
touchdown in that half season, and he was tight end
thirtyty one under Cooper Rush. That worries me about Mark
Andrews quite a bit. The Texans are only giving up
thirty two yards to opposing tight ends per game.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
That's not good.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
And if Isaiah Likely's gonna get a couple of catches
that would further eat into this.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
I can only get you to a C grade on
Mark Andrews.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
And then last guy to talk about Justice Hill without
Lamar Jackson and this batter defense. If you believe the
Ravens are gonna be playing from behind like I do,
that puts the Ravens in Justice Hill mode. That's like
last week his usage exploded when they got behind by
a lot. He's the pass catching back ten targets the
last two weeks. Is a viable PPR by week flex

(41:07):
starter with a C grade.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
All right, our.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
Final matchup of this segment is Dolphins taking on the Panthers.

Speaker 4 (41:15):
Scott, Yeah, I don't love the Miami passing game here.
Tua Tagovailoa is getting a Panthers defense that is sixth
best against fantasy passers. No QB has over two hundred
and twenty passing yards and just four passing scores in
four games. That's doing part to j. C. Horn and
Mike Jackson both being top thirty corners per PFF and

(41:38):
it being the second toughest matchup for Fantasy wide receivers,
allowing the second fewest receptions, fewest yards and just two
wide receiver scores. Really tough matchup for the pass game here.
So I have Tua on the bench. Those four scores,
by the way, three of them came from Drake May,
who's on a different level from Tua.

Speaker 5 (41:56):
If you ask me, so that is true.

Speaker 4 (41:59):
Jalen Wattle will give a C grade too, though he
should get a slight uptick without Hill. He's got five
plus targets in all games. He should just get enough
on volume. Malak Washington I have on the bench. There's
a chance that Dolphin could splash. He's a great yards
after the catch guy, sixth in the league in that metric,
but I'm not starting him this first week. I think

(42:20):
he has more, you know, more value going forward. Potentially.
Carolina's been against qbs and wide receivers. They've led up
a little against tight ends. Brenton Strage had a good day.
Trey McBride a good day, Mike Kyle Pitts a decent day.
Even Higgins, backup tight end for the for the Cardinals,
had a good day. Hunters Long and Henry both scored,

(42:41):
so C grade there. Devin h. Chan is gonna get
a grade. Running Backs have dominated Carolina for two straight
years here basically the Panthers allowing nearly six yards per touch.
If a Chan gets his average of seventeen, that could
be a huge day for him. Ali Ollie Gordon's kind
of like a He's a bench grade, but he's a

(43:01):
desperation dart throw only fifteen snaps each the last two weeks,
but fifteen touches of those thirty snaps, and he gets
goal line work, so if you're really really desperate. But
I got a bench grade on him. Over on the
Panther side, double was my take a chance on me player,
so I got a grade on him. Only the Cowboys
allow more fantasy points to quarterbacks than the Dolphins, so

(43:23):
I do have a C grade on Bryce Young. He
might get more closer to the blowout blow up game
he had a couple of weeks ago than he does.
His other duds McMillan got an A grade on him.
Phukainakua and him are the only two tickets in every game,
and the Dolphins secondary is pretty banged up. And last,

(43:45):
but not least, I have a C grade on Tommy Tremble,
who gets the thirty easiest matchups for tight ends and
without Jatavian Sanders. Last week he had five for forty
two on eight targets. Great spot a lot of tight
ends doing work on that matchup.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
That is Tommy Tremble is a great deep dart throw
that nobody else is gonna have it. Talk about a
DFS difference maker as well, Tommy Tremble could very well
be that guy. That is a great call out. Love
love that Tommy Tremble angle right there. Our number two
Fantasy Football Weekly coming up, including three tough questions.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Play along see if you can go three and zero.

Speaker 3 (44:22):
With our panel of experts as we tackle some of
the toughest topics in fantasy football, including what in the
world are we doing about Drake May Can he possibly
continue at this level? Find out when we come back
to Fantasy Football Weekly. Welcome back our number two Fantasy

(44:54):
Football Weekly. Paul Charchie and Scott Fish and Kent Wyrock
with you. Thank you for joining us. We've already broken
down on six, seven, seven matchups. You've still got a
handful left for you. But before we do that, it's
time for three tough questions.

Speaker 2 (45:09):
We begin with.

Speaker 6 (45:10):
This tough question Number one.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
Drake May is currently quarterback four in fantasy scoring. Is
that a trend or a mirage? We begin with Scott Fish.

Speaker 4 (45:22):
Come on, man, this is a trend. We called this charge.
We called it in the preseason. We both had him
ranked as a top ten quarterback. I believe before the
season it's what we thought. This week's matchup is a
little tougher, but so we'll see how that fares. But
we talked about he was our double digit round target.
The rushing is a thing too, that helps helps the floor.

(45:43):
He got more weapons in Diggs and Henderson, and as
dig snap snaps increase, and once we see Henderson finally
explode and be a better pass catcher, I mean, I
think this is legit. I think he's the top twelve
quarterback for the rest of the season.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
All right, Kent May currently quarterback four in fantasy scoring?

Speaker 2 (46:03):
Is that a trend or a mirage? Yeah? I think
it's a trend.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
He may not maintain exactly QB four, but like Scott said,
top twelve is certainly in the realm of possibilities. You know,
he's been beating up on some easier teams, but I
think that's okay. You have to beat up on the
bad teams if you're a good quarterback. That's part of
your resume. And he's fourth in EPA per drop back,
fifth and completion percentage above expectation.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
Those are stats that I put a lot of stock into.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
For passers, his twenty six percent pressure to sack ratio
is a little concerning, and if he cleans that up,
I think there's definitely.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
More room to grow for him on the upside, even
without a start receiver.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
Drake may doing this what happens when they actually get
some receiving talent on that team. You know, the rushing
has been very helpful. He doesn't get a lot of
designed runs, but may extends a lot of plays, and
he's a very willing scrambler. He'll just go and turn
up field and then that's very helpful.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
Get this, I bet nobody listening knows this.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
Drake May leads the NFL in completion percentage.

Speaker 4 (47:02):
It's in my notes for my next matchups, so now
I don't have to mention any more.

Speaker 3 (47:06):
Percent You did, no, and it's not dump off stuff,
So this is not a TUA high completion percentage thing.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
Get this.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Drake May is throwing the sixth deepest pass and as
a seventy four percent completion rate, Drake May tangibly better
this year than last year.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
Coming up against the Bills.

Speaker 3 (47:23):
We'll we'll see what Scott thinks about him this week,
but I think he's got some prospects here and we'll
talk more about Drake May in just a minute.

Speaker 6 (47:30):
Tough question Number two.

Speaker 3 (47:32):
Chargers wide receiver Quinton Johnston is currently wide receiver four
in PPR scoring. Will he finish as a top ten
Fantasy wide receiver?

Speaker 2 (47:43):
For this one? We go to Kent Wyrock. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:46):
I was on the fence for this one, but I'm
gonna go with no. I just don't think that Lad
McConkey is down and out for this offense. He's still
running more routes than Johnston is, and he's averaging more
separation per target. Thirty one percent of Johnston targets have
been contested catch which do tend to be streakier as
far as them producing, and Joe Alt just went down
for this offensive line. He's fourth in the past blocking grade.

(48:09):
The rest of their line is very suspect, so that
could lean into shorter eight out receivers like Keenan Allen
and Lad McConkey in the future.

Speaker 2 (48:15):
Here all right, Scott.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Chargers wide receiver Quinston Quinton Johnston is currently wide receiver four.
Is he going to finish as a top ten receiver?

Speaker 4 (48:25):
I think it's I think it's very possible. Here, Kent
on your contested catches stat That's what he came out
of TCU known for is his deep play contested catch guy.
That was his He came out a little bit raw
and that was the thing he was super good at.
So it's not surprising that's the thing he's super good at.
In the NFL, Ladd has become a bit of a

(48:50):
third wheel and I am waiting for that shoot at
drop where Ladd starts taking more. But the Chargers are
throwing the ball so much, even since the end of
last it is kind of an air raid off. They
are throwing the ball in absolute fun and like I
steal a little bit of the Vinton Jackson, Mike Williams
when healthy, Clinton Johnston the when healthy versions. So hopefully

(49:14):
he can stay healthy, but just for fun, because I
wanted to be let's say yes, let's say he's going
to be a top ten wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (49:23):
The lead story here is that Quinton Johnson is no
longer the league's preeminent ball dropper, as mentioned earlier in
this segment. Just one drop so far through four games,
So you can't be the league's pre eminent ball dropper
at that rate. He does fill that valuable role as
the big, physical receiver.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
Where it gets hazy is this.

Speaker 3 (49:41):
Part of being a great fantasy manager is being able
to rewrite your mental narrative. I think we had given
up on Quinton Johnston. Didn't want it. We thought the
player we had seen through two years was the player
he was going to be.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
When a lot of receivers it takes three seasons.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
You know, he's got a lot of touchdowns. It's tempting
to take those touchdowns away goal for if he weren't
for the touchdowns, but this is what he does with
the big body. He should be a good end zone target.
Now they haven't targeted him in the end zone yet,
which is a little weird. I think they all have
of opportunities to do that and that should provide some
extra safety for him. His metrics, Quinton Johnson's metrics are good,

(50:17):
not great.

Speaker 4 (50:18):
You know.

Speaker 3 (50:18):
He generally ranks between like wide receiver fifteen or riseiver
twenty five and in a lot of different metrics, which
is a huge improvement for him.

Speaker 2 (50:26):
But here's why we're gonna say.

Speaker 3 (50:27):
No on a top ten finish for Quentin Johnson. Lad
McConkie's in the mix. As Quent adroitly said, top ten
receivers are almost always alpha receivers on their team, and
I don't know that Quinton Johnson's going to be able
to be the alpha receiver because there's too many other
mouths that need to get fed. With the two other
receivers Keenan, Allen LADDI McConkie, we will say no.

Speaker 6 (50:50):
Tough question number three.

Speaker 3 (50:53):
There are two rookies who have been good in every
game this year. That's Amika Buka and Indianapolis tight end
Tyler Warren. Who would you rather have for the season
in a standard re draft league, and then who would
you rather have going forward in a dynasty or Empire League.
So a two part answer is what I'm looking for
here Scott between Amika Egbuca and Tyler Warren.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
We start with Scott Fish.

Speaker 5 (51:16):
Yeah, this one's rough.

Speaker 4 (51:18):
So the tight end position is kind of garbage a
lot of the times, and people are strong, people are like,
should I pick up Tubby trouble to throw in? Should
I a lot of weeks? Right, So I do like
having that tight end and not worrying. Matt Harrison before
the season Fantasy Football almost daily is back, and right
before the season, he asked me my two dynasty by
lows and I said, they're not exactly by lows, but

(51:40):
they're by lows based on where they will be at
the end of the year. And my answers were, Tyler
Warren and Tucker Kraft are going to be top five
tight ends at the end of the year.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
Oh well, nice, nice peacock for you.

Speaker 4 (51:51):
Yes, yes, So I want that tight end, that top
five tight end long term, I don't have to worry
about tight end. I I can figure out wide receivers.
I can pick stuff off the waiver where to figure
out wide receivers If I don't have a Mika, but
Tyler Warren just stick him in. I don't even need
a bench, just stick him in my tight ends spot.
I like that's the way I like to build a roster.

(52:13):
So I'm going with Warren.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
I'm both so Warren and Warren correct redraft and dynasty.

Speaker 4 (52:20):
Sure, redraft, it's a little stickier wicket there, but I
will go with Warren on both.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
Okay, Warren on both.

Speaker 3 (52:26):
Kent, there are two rookies that have been good in
every game this year and only two a meekeag Buka,
Tyler Warren. Who would you rather have in standard redraft leagus?
Who would you rather have in dynasty leagues?

Speaker 1 (52:37):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with the split answer here, and
I'm gonna go with redrafting Buca Dynasty Warren. I think
in season, especially this season, there's a lot of top
wide receivers that are injured or have their quarterbacks injured
right now. In the scarcity of having to start two
to four wide receivers depending on your league settings, it
really favors having a good receiver leg Bukra on your team.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
True.

Speaker 1 (52:57):
In dynasty, however, Warren's are locked in in one for
the next decade, it seems right now, based on his
performance as a rookie. So I really hate trying to
dig through the bargain bin on dynasty waivers to figure
out tight ends. So I'll just take Warren there and
lock it in forever.

Speaker 3 (53:13):
Yeah, I've got Warren and Warren as the correct answer
for this one, you know, and let's assume they're both
gonna be similarly great and they both look like they
are headed for stardom here. Most years there's about forty
wide receivers that you can just set it and forget it.
You know, this year wide receiver forty gives you Chris Olave,
DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir. Those are guys you just start

(53:34):
every week. You don't even have to think about it.
At tight end, there's about six of those guys most
years that are set it and forget it.

Speaker 2 (53:42):
There's only six. You're in a twelve team league.

Speaker 3 (53:45):
That means there's your half of the league is scrambling
to try to find a weekend and week out starter
at tight end. If you've got Tyler Warren, you've got
a huge advantage over half of your league. He is
the answer for me on both sides of this thing.
Because I don't want to go to war every week going,
Is this a Kyle Pitts week?

Speaker 2 (54:05):
Nothing?

Speaker 7 (54:06):
Right?

Speaker 4 (54:06):
Now?

Speaker 2 (54:06):
It seems like many of those weeks are yes.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
Coup of the weeks are yes for Kyle. But does
he have a touchdown yet this year?

Speaker 2 (54:13):
Yes? He does. Listened last week he did? There you go,
all right? We got one touchdown on Kyle Pitts.

Speaker 3 (54:18):
All right, let's go back to the matchups Kent. We
go to the Giants taking on the Saints. Jackson Dart
broke his maiden last week. We got a chance to
get to see him up close and personal. As expected,
it was all short passing and a lot of running.
That's exactly what we expected from Jackson Dart. But now
there's no Molik Neighbors talk us through the passing side

(54:39):
of this game against the Saints.

Speaker 1 (54:41):
Yeah, Molik Neighbors going down really took a lot of
the glimmer off the Jackson Dart upside case. I will
give him a c in this game though, just basically
because of the rushing floor and I think he could
make something to work through the air. But in his
first start he only attempted twenty passes for one hundred
and eleven yards in a touchdown but he did rush
ten times for fifty four yards and had that score
on the so that was pretty nice. And six of

(55:01):
those were designed runs, which is worth noting. The Saints
have allowed the fourth highest EPA per drop back, but
have allowed only the sixth least explosive passing plays, so
teams are marching up the field on them but not
really giving up big stuff. So I'll give him a
C grade. Camp'skataboo. He's got a B grade. Started debute
twenty five rushes only for seventy nine yards, but he

(55:23):
did catch both his targets for eleven yards.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
At three point two yards per carrio.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
It's a little disappointing, but it was only point two
below expectation. He just kind of got stuffed up at
the line pretty often. It wasn't really much of his
fault Tyrone Tracy not gonna play this next week, Probably
gonna be back next week.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
We're not quite sure there. But he's at least startable
for this week, So why not take the volume play
and give him a bee Wandell Robinson, I'll give a
B grade two.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
He should be the target leader going forward.

Speaker 1 (55:48):
He saw thirty one percent of the target share after
Neighbors went down in this game.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
The problem was that was only five targets.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
You know, based on that twenty attempts that I saw
from Jackson Dart and his yard yardage totals from the
past two we're just fourteen and twenty six yards. Really
uninspiring stuff. And in fact, it's been super weird. He's
had two games with an eight out above sixteen yards
and two below four. It's just a quagmire of a
receiver right now. So he's startable for sure. You're probably

(56:14):
gonna get targets, but it's not a super huge upside.
Darius Slayton, on the other hand, you know, I think
he's worth picking up. He gets a C grade just
because you got Jackson Dard, who did like the deep
ball in college. We talked about that a few episodes ago,
and I think that if you could get one or
two good throws to Darius Slayton, that's all it really
takes for a good day for him. So if you're
in a dire spot between buys and injuries, you can

(56:34):
throw him into flex and just pray for a deep.

Speaker 2 (56:36):
Connection and then THEO Johnson. I'll give him a C grade.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
He did also have thirty one percent, but we're gonna
talk about him a little bit more in premature speculation
and then looking over on the safe side of the ball.
You know, Spencer Ratler, he's still benching him. He's got
multiple offensive line injuries. Not worth playing in any format.
Alvin Kamara, I'll give a C grade to him. He
has three straight games with nineteen plus touches, but only
one game with more than seventy two scrimmage yards this year.
It hasn't been very pretty. Hasn't scored a touchdown since

(57:01):
Week one. And we talked a little bit about Condray
Miller coming in taking a little bit of his red
zone duties. That's been a big problem for Alvin Kamara
as far as this last week when he out touched
Kamara in the red zone, and that should be a
big worry for Kamara going forward.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
So I'm gonna give him a C grade.

Speaker 1 (57:19):
Condriy Miller, like we said, charge was take a chance
on me player.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
He had eleven rushes.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
That was cool, but still low target percentage or excuse
me, the offensive snap percentage. Chris o'lave gets a C grade
in this game. He finally scored his first touchdown of
the year long waiting, but he also had his lowest target,
reception yardage and receiving grade of the season, so it's
been kind of a rough outlook for him. The Giant
secondary is all around pretty solid. None of their cornerbacks

(57:44):
have a passer rating above ninety three so far this
year went targeted, so there's a chance that he could
have a decent game, but it's pretty low upside. Rashid
shied you bench, it's more of the same from him.
He's at consistently four receptions forty two yards roughly, but
it's just not much and there's not much of a
deep out for him anymore. Juwan Johnson I will give
a C grade two. It's unfortunately he's questionable for a

(58:05):
Week five with an ankle injury and had a low
target outcome this last week. So I think he's gonna
be fine. He's playing ninety percent of the offensive snaps.
But you just got to dial back the expectations a
little bit, you know.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
For Juwan Johnson, who was one of my favorite players
going into the season as a deep sleeper, Austin Moro
coming back, and Taysom Hill, there was talk Taysom Hill.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
May never play again.

Speaker 3 (58:28):
He's coming back soon too, true, John Train might be
coming to an end. Unfortunately, we'll have to see how
that one ends up playing out. When we come back,
Commanders take on the Chargers. Jayde and Daniels back for
the Commanders.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
Is it start? Everybody? Who's left to start among the Commanders?
Find out when we came back. Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly.
Paul Cheargie and Scott Fish can't wyrock with you.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
A big block of matchups here, beginning with Commanders taking
on the Chargers. Jayden Daniels returns. That is great news.
We'll get to him in just a minute. No Terry McLaurin,
No Noah Brown in this game, so it's gonna be
more of Chris Moore and Luke McCaffrey and rookie Jalen Lane.

Speaker 2 (59:21):
We don't love that part.

Speaker 3 (59:22):
Good news is yeah, Deebo Samuel is going to play
in this one. He's got a heal injury that kept
him out of practice Wednesday Thursday, so do note that.
But with McLaurin and Deebo out, sorry McLaurin and Brown out,
Deebo last week migrated all over the field. Normally he
plays very much the slot, but they used him all
over the field last week and that helps him. Because

(59:44):
the Chargers have been great against slot receivers thanks in
part to Derwin James, who is great against slot receivers.
This should break Deebo out into the outside. He'll still
attract plenty of defensive attention no matter where he lines up,
but because this passing game will largely go through him now,

(01:00:06):
we will give Deebo Samuel a B grade for this one.
As for zach Ertz, he will play an important role
with these receivers out. With all the wide receiver injuries,
Commanders are gonna need Ertz. But that was the case
last week as well. And you only got four targets
and who catches last week? So there's no guarantees here
on Ertz at all. I worry he's going to see
a lot of star safety Derwin James, and especially if

(01:00:28):
Deebo can't go, although he should go, Chargers have held
the last two opponents to nine tight end yards and
thirty tight end yards as a team.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
That's it. I don't love this matchup, so C grade
on zach Ertz and that's all I can do. For him.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
So let's get to Jade and Daniels. Now luke warm
on the receiving situation here, and I'm worried. So with
this knee injury, he's gonna be wearing a knee brace,
and I've got a lot of worry that dan Quinn
is going to try to protect that knee and not
dial up designed runs for jad and Daniels. I'm worried
about that. Then you don't have two of the starting receivers.

(01:01:05):
That's not great. Deebo Samuel's going to be limping with
a heel injury.

Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
I don't know. This doesn't feel good.

Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Charges rank number five in passing yards allowed, number two
in passing touchdowns allowed. I've been between it being a
C grade for Jaden Daniels. I think I've talked myself
down to a C grade on Daniels because I don't
think the rushing is going to be there with the
knee brace.

Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
But you know, he's.

Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
Jaden Daniels, and I can understand if you may feel
like you can't possibly sit him. That brings us to
the Washington running backs, and what a mess this is.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
Yuck. It's a three man rotation.

Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
It's you know, everybody's doing okay, but nobody's doing great
and nobody's taken the job for themselves. They opposing runners
have been bottled up by the Chargers, including Ashton Genty
and Cam Skataboo the last couple of weeks, and the
Chargers have allowed the fewest fantasy points to runners. They're
seeing the fewest total rushes against them of any team.

(01:02:03):
So all three of the Washington Runners are on the bench.
That's just the sad reality of that situation. Let's go
to the Chargers side. The offensive line is missing three
players Joe Alt, McKai Beckton, and Rashaun Slater, and that
is a major bummer and makes everything harder for the
Chargers and it really puts some disaster scenarios on the table.

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
We saw the team unravel last week.

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
As a result, everybody dips really a full letter grade
in my mind because of the state of the offensive line.
For Omario and Hampton particular, he's getting a ton of usage.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
You can't complain about the volume.

Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
The backup running back Son Haskins hasn't seen the field yet.

Speaker 5 (01:02:44):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
We love that kind of rare, workhorse runner that we're
getting out with Mariy and Hampton, and he seems to
be getting better every game.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
I love that part. But Commanders are a good run defense. Now.

Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
They did get destroyed by John Robinson last week, but.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
He's pretty good. He's pretty special.

Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
Everybody else prior to Bajon averaging just three point one
yards per carry and even quality volume runners have been stymied.
So Omarion Hampton just a B grade in this one.
Let's go over to the passing game. Quinton Johnson we
talked about extensively earlier. I'm not gonna spend a ton
of time here, but note this. Usually he wins with

(01:03:22):
his physicality. He's going up against arguably the most physical
cornerback in the league, Marshawn Lattimore, and that could be
a great battle worth watching. Latimer did give up a
touchdown to Drake London, another big bodied receiver, last week,
so Latimer can be beaten. But this is not the
easier matchup against smaller cornerbacks that Quinton Johnson's used to.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
So Johnston comes in with a B grade in this one.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Ladd McConkey, Huh, you're too good to keep ignoring him.
I gotta believe Jim Harbas feeling like we need to
get lad going, But that's total speculation. I could have
said that in week two. I could have said that
week three. I want to believe that they're going to
force some passes into him. He runs from the slot
a lot, he'll draw slot cornerback Mike Sandrastill the most.

(01:04:09):
He has been torched for an eighty one percent completion rate,
and he has given up a touchdown this year.

Speaker 2 (01:04:14):
Had McConkey.

Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
I can't get him above a C grade, but I
do want to believe this is going to be the
game where he steps forward. Keenan Allen also historically had
a slot player, but they're using him outside on sixty
percent of his routes, which is really a big difference
for Keenan Allen this year, and he's been good. He's
had at least seven targets in every game. He's scored
touchdowns in three of four games, and only five teams

(01:04:38):
have allowed more wide receiver scores than the Commanders have.
So Keenan Allen remains a shockingly safe B grade in
this game. The tight end position for the Commanders is
a little bit up in the air right now because
Ronde Gadsden, the rookie, had been getting extra playing time
because everybody else is hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
But Will Disley looks.

Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
To come back this week, and that might nuke Geton's
playing time or put him into roughly an even time share.
But if he does not go, if Disley does not go,
Gadsden becomes a bye week pivot guy because the Commanders
have allowed the third most yards to tight ends. As
for Justin Herbert, I've given his his receivers BB and

(01:05:17):
C grades. I've got a B grade on Herbert, but again,
there is some big downside with this offensive line, and
there's this scenario here where he's just ambushed and running
for his life this whole game, and it never quite
comes together. So consider it a high risk, high reward
B grade on Herbert. All right, Scott, Let's go over
to our next matchup, and that is the Lions taking

(01:05:39):
on the Bengals last time.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
The Lions had a brutal match up last week against Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
The week before it was super easy with the Ravens
and they would completely berserk and we had two hundred
and sixty rushing yards. This seems like an easy matchup
on paper, as this say start everybody for the Lions
pretty much.

Speaker 4 (01:05:56):
The Bengals have allowed the second most scored and third
most yards to quarterback, including multiple scores in three straight.
Like you said, it's a lot closer to that highest
over under of the week shootout type type situation, except
for this might be.

Speaker 5 (01:06:09):
More of a blowout.

Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
And Goff had five scores in that Ravens game you mentioned,
So I have an A grade on Jared Goff.

Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
I have an A grade.

Speaker 4 (01:06:16):
I'm on ro Saint Brown, who has six scores in
the last three weeks, seven catches for seventy plus yards
in all three of those. A grade there I had.
Jamison Williams was my take a chance on me player.
Over to Sam Laporta C grade. It's really weird what's
happened to Sam Loporto. Over the last year or so.

(01:06:36):
The Bengals have allowed the fourth most receptions and ninth
most yards to tight ends. However, but since the opener
where Laporta was targeted nine times times, yeah, Sam Laporta
is over four targets per game one in the red zone.
So the most I can get to is a C grade.
He did catch ten of those twelve yards, though, so

(01:06:57):
ten of those twelve targets, so secret there. Jamiir gives
auto automatca grade. He gets about twenty touches a game
and nine of those being catches. This is the second
easiest matchup for running backs, and sixteen touches has basically
guaranteed ninety in a score against this Bengals team that's
bottom five in several categories. I have a B grade

(01:07:19):
on David Montgomery, who I think may get a little
special treatment here. This is the second best matchup for
fantasy backs. As I mentioned, the matchup's awesome, great, and
Monte Montgomery is number one in the league in rushing
yards over expectation was that's great, But this is a
little narrative driven. It's his first game going poop back
to his hometown of Sincy, and we talked about home
games on AH, but this one's a little special. His

(01:07:43):
whole family's going super excited. His sister was paralyzed from
the neck down in a car accident last year and
her son built leukemia and this is the first time
they get to see him play live and he wants
to show up for them. And Dan Campbell feels like
the a coach that would lean into that and push

(01:08:04):
for David Montgomery to have a huge game. Yeah, so
it's not stat based, it's very narrative base. But I
think a B grade, maybe even an A might be
possible here for David Montgomery on the Bengals side. Man,
this offense has been rough. Browning's gonna be on the bench.
He's under one hundred and fifty yards in each of

(01:08:24):
his false starts, and the Lions get a lot of pressure,
which which really made Browning look bad against the Vikings.
I'm still giving Chase a B and a Higgins a C,
though might be a little squeaky wheel game for a
frustrated Chase. He had five for fifty last week. Robot
Dunes was able to explode on the Lions. They're gonna
be behind all games, so they're gonna have to try

(01:08:46):
to pass more, and wide receivers are averaging ten for
one hundred and fifty and a score.

Speaker 5 (01:08:51):
On the Lions.

Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
If you split that up in a decent way, because
it's so centralized to two players, you might get two
decent games out of that. And for Chase Brown the
best I can get as a volume C. You're going
to hope for a fifty to seventy five yards, maybe
a couple of catches, maybe you get lucky with a score.
Three of the four backs to face the Lions did score.

(01:09:12):
Brown only touched the ball thirteen and fourteen times in
the blowouts. The two closer games he touched it five, six,
seven more times, So it's not good for him. The
game script's not going to be good for him. He's
got the second worst yards per carrying the league, but
he's still getting that volume.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
C That all makes sense. That all makes sense.

Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
Let's go over to Broncos taking on the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
Can't for the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
We got a much better game from bow Knicks, who
had been languishing, But now he goes against the Eagles,
and I think it's not a certainty that we're going
to have back to back strong starts for bow Nicks here.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Absolutely. It's coming off his best game of the season.
He was QB five with twenty six points, seven Fantasy points.
A really nice game for him, and he has seemed
to clean up some of the rougher parts of his game.
He's had just one turn of worthy player in the
last two weeks. He's been QB six and passing grade
then during that stretch and fifth lowest pressure to sack grate.

Speaker 2 (01:10:05):
So he's looking better.

Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
But that Eagles defense is the fifth lowest passing success
rate allowed.

Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
They are tough, like you said, but you.

Speaker 1 (01:10:12):
Know what, Nick started slow last year too, so maybe
that's just who he is.

Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
I'll give him a C grade here. On the rushing attack,
we kind of got a two headed dragon going on
here with JK. Dobbins and RJ. Harvey.

Speaker 1 (01:10:23):
I'm giving them both seas because of this matchup and
because of the split work.

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
JK.

Speaker 1 (01:10:28):
Dobbins is coming off his best game in terms of
rushing yards and he's fifth in rushing yards over expectation
on the season, but he is seeding the red zone
work to RJ. Harvey, who in Week four had three
rushing attempts at a target where Dobbins just had the
one rushing attempt, so there's a lot more red zone
work for him.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
And then r J.

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
Harvey is playing played forty one percent of the snaps
last week and his workload is increasing, but it's still
just not enough to really get a whole lot done.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
Beyond that C grade as well.

Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Courtland Sutton is getting a B grade here, he's just
a lunch pale, high end wide receiver. Two five plus receptions,
sixty one plus yards and touchdown in three games this year.
He's doing his best work, but he's upside his cap
playing against Quinnon Mitchell, who's a very tough cornerback allowing
just a forty four percent catch rate. Troy Franklin, I'm
giving him a C grade. I was on the bench

(01:11:17):
to bench him as excuse me on the fence to
bench him as well. But he's had a couple of
rough drops the last two weeks and will be playing
against Cooper Dijon in the slot.

Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
It's pretty tough matchup for him. But if you do need.

Speaker 1 (01:11:28):
A dart throw, he's got a lot of targets so
far and he's running eighty one percent of the route,
so he's worth a shot.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
Marvin Mims, on the other hand, he's a bench.

Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
Yes, he caught all six targets for sixty nine yards
last week, but he only ran fifty one percent of
the routes and only had nine percent of the air yards,
which is kind of supposed to be his deal. So
for him to be that low is pretty restrictive. And
then Evan Ingram. If you're even thinking about playing him, don't.
He missed a week with a back injury, but he
had seven targets, but he only turned it into twenty

(01:11:54):
nine yards. He's not worth starting right now. If we
look at the Eagles side of the ball, A Jalen Hurts,
I'll give it B grade two. He's quarterback five on
the year. He's got some real glass cannon vibes right
now with one hundred and fifty two passing yards per game,
and all five of his passing touchdowns were just in
the last two weeks. The Broncos our bottom five in
both explosive passing and rushing plays allowed, so it's a

(01:12:17):
tougher matchup and we'll cap him at a B. Sakwan Barkley,
I'm gonna give him a C grade. He's our running
back thirteen on the year. Hasn't scored more than sixteen
point four fantasy points, hasn't had a single game with
one hundred plus scrimmage yards.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Yet it's just.

Speaker 1 (01:12:32):
Not coming to him, and I don't really see much
of a reason for that to happen against the Denver
defense either, So we're just gonna give him a C
and hopefully jump bound a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Yeah, go for it.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
I disagree in that Barkley has struggled. He's barely three
yards per carry. But the way you beat the Broncos
is on the ground. You know, you've got they have
the best pass rush in the NFL, they've got the
most quarterback orrees, they've got the elite cornerbacks, Patrick Sartan,
Riley Moss. The way you beat the Broncos is you
run the ball. And I see a huge volume game

(01:13:01):
coming from Saquon Barkley.

Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
Hopefully, yes that all.

Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
You know, that all ends up, it ends up coming
together from here. I think I think it does, and
I think Barkley is gonna have a game that's more
like what we saw last year.

Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
Totally fair. I mean, obviously you're playing him, so there's
not much you can do about it. But uh yeah,
it's just been a rough start to his twenty twenty
five season for sure. AJ Brown, I'm gonna give a
C grade two as well. They say the squeaky wheel
gets the grease, but he's taking the grease and just
kind of using it as a hand cream. It seems
like he only caught two of his eight targets or
excuse me, of his seven targets this last week, and

(01:13:36):
he's had some really rough weeks with a lot of targets.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
So two of his three.

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
Weeks with eight plus targets were twenty seven yards and
seven yards last week, so really really ugly stuff from
AJ Brown. Right now, he is second in the league
in target chare, but it's just a low volume passing
attack and he's getting the patricks Artan experience, so he's
getting a C grade and you don't feel great about it.
DeVonta Smith, I will also give a C grade too.
He had two just two targets last week, but he

(01:14:02):
actually has more yards than AJ Brown through four weeks,
and he has the lowest excuse me, he has the
lowest yards per route run receiving grade a dot of
his career so far through four weeks, so he's off
to kind of a rough start of this year as well.
Dallas Goddard, I will give a B grade to the
tight end experience, as we all know, can be kind.

Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Of restrictive, so he gets a good starting grade here.

Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
He's coming off a two touchdown game against the Bucks
and he runs eighty four percent of the Eagles routes,
which is good for fifth most in the league. So
he's just going to be a solid starting tight end
for you.

Speaker 2 (01:14:32):
Be grade.

Speaker 3 (01:14:32):
When we come back, it is time for premature speculation.
We're gonna give you three players you'll want to pick
up now, but don't people will be trying to pick
up extra find out whose they are when we come back.
Plus our final set of matchups including Chiefs versus Jaguars.
Is Travis Kelcey a safe start to find out when
we come back to Fantasy Football Weekly, final segment Fantasy

(01:15:15):
Football Weekly, thank you for joining us for a week
five edition. If you want to know where we get
all these esoteric stats, where do we find a lot
of our data? So much of it available at Fantasy
atlife dot com A tons and tons of deep dive
data utilization scores. You want to get all kinds of tools.
You want to get all of your life scoring in

(01:15:36):
one place, on one screen for all of your leagues,
across all sites. Fantasy atlife dot com, Trade Analyze, There's
so many different tools and ways to bring extra data
and enjoyment to the game that you love.

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Fantasylife dot Com.

Speaker 3 (01:15:50):
This is a segment we call premature Speculation, where we
give you three players that normally.

Speaker 2 (01:15:56):
People can be trying to pick up next week.

Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
Ready on your team because you're listening to this show.
Begin with Scott Fish who was your first premature speculation player?

Speaker 4 (01:16:05):
Yeah, I'm going with Isaiah Bond, wide receiver Browns. It's
a little bit of a tougher matchup this week, but
he's not going to see Isaiah Rodgers. He'll be on
the other side. His route percent has jumped thirteen percent
each week. He has ten targets in the last two
games till Mint will be out Dylan and Dylan Gabriel
is making his first start, so is Bond. He runs

(01:16:26):
a full rout route tree can be used on screens, RPOs, slants, four, three, nine, speed,
just and last game great diving catch, quick pass, broken tackles.
He looked, he looked like a legit player out there. Also,
he's currently getting one hundred percent of Dylan Gabriel's targets.

Speaker 5 (01:16:46):
And if that.

Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
So, if Dylan throws it thirty times a lot Isaiah Bond.

Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
I don't have a lot high expectations for Bond in
this particular rack. Coming up with Minnesota but you might
want him down downstream anyway.

Speaker 4 (01:17:03):
It's kind of like my respect of Woody Marks two
weeks ago. You didn't want him as much.

Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
To have that right exactly exactly, I kent your premature speculation.

Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
Player, Yeah, I'm going with THEO Johnson tight end on
the New York Giants. You know, obviously it's unfortunate that
Elik Neighbors went down, But after he went down, THEO
Johnson was tied with Wando Robinson in target share with
thirty point eight percent of the targets. And so he's
got an interesting opportunity here. He's a nine point nine
to nine RAS player. He's the second highest tight end

(01:17:33):
since nineteen eighty seven, and we know that tight end
athleticism correlates to production better than any other offensive position.
He's a high school Canadian football convert. He's got a
fun backstory. He played behind Brenton Strange and Tyler Warren
in college. He's got a breakout opportunity. He might not
be a huge play this week, but certainly could be
playable in.

Speaker 2 (01:17:52):
Future weeks for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:17:53):
All Right, THEO Johnson gigantic, absolutely huge on field even
though by NFL, and he is massive my premature speculation
players Miami wide receiver Maleik Washington. Tyreek Hill's leaving behind
seven targets per game, twenty six routes twenty eight percent
target chair. It's got to be more than twenty six routes.
My notes have to be wrong there. I'm gonna guess

(01:18:15):
that's like forty six routes. He's got experience running from
all parts of the field, just like Tyreek Hill. You know,
Tyrek Hill ran from left right slot. So does Malik Washington,
so we can walk right into those Tyreek Hill routes.
We Malak Washington's been used almost entirely on short passes,
but I think his route tree's going to expand as
he at gets asked to fill in for Tyreek Hill.

Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
So you know, we don't like what happened to Tyreek
Hill at all.

Speaker 3 (01:18:39):
We never root for injury, but sometimes there are players
who can take advantage of the opportunity and the leak.

Speaker 2 (01:18:43):
Washington is going to be that guy.

Speaker 3 (01:18:46):
All right, Let's go to our final two set of matchups,
beginning with Scott Fish.

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
Patriots are taking on the Bills. Scott. You we had
earlier talked about Drake May and how much we love
what he's doing.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
The Buffalo Bills are giving up the most quarterback rushing
yards league.

Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
Yes, that's gonna happen when you face Justin Fields, Lamar
Jackson and even Spencer Rattler getting in on it. Drake
May is adept in that area, so he should be fine.
He's put up eight hundred yards and eight scores in
just the last three games.

Speaker 5 (01:19:18):
Drake May has Bill's.

Speaker 4 (01:19:20):
However, allowing the fewest passing yards and just six scores
and only five explosive twenty plus yard completions. So our
league leader in completion percentage, as we mentioned earlier, has
got a tough job. But there will be four Bills
players out for this one. They're missing at Oliver on

(01:19:41):
the line, Matt Mlano and Dorian Williams in the middle,
and Dorian Strong in the back end. So maybe there's
some room here for Drake May to get a B grade.
I moved him all the way up to the B
grade with all the injuries. R C grade on steff
On Diggs. He's really the only wide receiver in New England.
He is the only wide receiver in New England with
more than six catches since Week one and I don't

(01:20:02):
mean six in a game. I mean all the other
year wide receivers have six catches combined since Week one. Wow,
he's only playing fifty or sixty fifty to sixty percent
of the snaps, but it's ticking up. He's second in
the team on targets and the Bills have allowed five
different wide receivers to score three of those. Three of

(01:20:23):
those five were the team's top target wide receiver, Hunter Henry.
I'm only going to C grade. I know that he's
a top five tight end right now. It was one
giant week on. It was one really really big week
so far, but he is still holding down that twenty
plus percent target share and red zone share, which is

(01:20:45):
it's what you want. Bill's do rank second against tight
ends and their only real test was Joan Johnson last
week who went three for twenty eight. So will we
will see how that fares. But I had to give
a starting grade on him. He's scored a two straight games.
Ramandri Stevenson and Trevion Henderson. I'm gonna split and give
C grades to You're not starting Antonio Gibson even though

(01:21:08):
he's getting seven to ten touches. You'd need like Serrano,
Jobu level Cojones to throw him on in the lineup.
Can't wait for all the people that you'll get that
reference all three of them, Stevenson and Henderson. This is
a really tough one. Henderson is he's got the fourth
worst rushing yards over expectation. It's just been bad for him.

(01:21:32):
He's averaging just forty six yards per game, but he's
adding two to six catches. But the Bills top five
against pass catching backs. But on the running side, the
Bills are allowing nearly six yards per attempt, Like they
just allow a ton of ton of yards per attempt.
So if you can get seven to twelve touches out

(01:21:53):
of each of them, maybe they're looking in fifty to
sixty yards, maybe a couple catches, maybe they can get
a score or And with all those injuries, especially three
injuries in the front seven, I think there might be
just enough room for some c grades there over on
the Buffalo I am.

Speaker 3 (01:22:10):
I am not with you on Henderson on this one.
I just think he hasn't been good enough. I could
have Yeah, yeah, I think.

Speaker 5 (01:22:18):
A lot of reasons to bench him.

Speaker 2 (01:22:20):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:22:21):
Noted is coming off his best rushing yards over expectation.
Game of the Year one one point one above.

Speaker 5 (01:22:28):
Which which that's fair.

Speaker 4 (01:22:29):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I thought I thought long and hard
about benching him. I I don't love him, but honestly,
you got four teams on by you're struggling.

Speaker 5 (01:22:38):
I can see starting him over On the bill side.

Speaker 4 (01:22:41):
It's an A grade for for Josh Allen, especially against
the past team Pats team that has allowed multiple scores
and or three hundred plus yards UH to three of
the quarterbacks they faced. The only wide receiver grade I
have is Khalil Shakir because Kean Coleman's probably gonna get
Christian Gonzalez.

Speaker 6 (01:22:58):
UH.

Speaker 4 (01:22:59):
Doesn't sound like Gonzalz is gonna shadow Shakher. So the
Pats have given up a bunch of explosive plays, but
those were all in the first two weeks, and since
Gonzalez's it was back last week that disappeared. Playing seventy
two percent of the slot. In the slot, he's going
to be able to avoid Gonzales. So I have a
C grade on Shakir, B grade on Dalton Kincaid. It's

(01:23:20):
a good spot for Kincaid here after being held to
just one one catch. That one catch went for a
twenty eight yard score and he ran the most routs
on the team though, so he was out there.

Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
It was just one play.

Speaker 4 (01:23:32):
Last week, Panthers tight ends went ten for eighty two
and two scores in this matchup. Earlier in the year,
Bowers and Mayer went nine for one hundred and forty
one yards in this matchup. Tan O'Connor of the Dolphins.

Speaker 5 (01:23:44):
And John O.

Speaker 4 (01:23:44):
Smith both got held down, so like that was to
be expected, the suitable tight ends did well. And then
we have a straight up A grade on James Cook.
I don't really need to go much into it, but
he averaged twenty two touches and three catches.

Speaker 5 (01:23:59):
The Pats is a little bit tough.

Speaker 4 (01:24:01):
Hasn't allowed a running back over fifty yards, but they're
allowing forty five receiving yards per game to the position,
so that's where they give it up, and James Cook
can do that too.

Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
Our Monday night game is Chiefs taking on the Jaguars.
I've got an A grade on Xavier Worthy a B grade,
and Patrick Mahomes a C grade, and Travis Kelce everybody
else is on the bench. Let's start with the running game.
Isaiah Pachecko and Kareem Hunt. It's been a miserable season.
It continued last week and that was one of their
easiest matchups of the year, and neither Pachecko nor Hunt
top thirty five rushing yards last week. The Jaguars are

(01:24:34):
a sneaky great run defense. They've allowed the third fewest
rushing yards. They've allowed zero rushing touchdowns. They've been dinged
through the air by running backs, but hunted Pacheco don't
catch much. They're each averaging one catch a game. If
you're feeling brave, you rollout for Shard Smith on the
presumption that he's going to get a bunch more work

(01:24:57):
here and again, Jaguars have been hit through the air
by running backs and that's for Shard Smith's game, but
it would take some What did you call these khanes, Scott.

Speaker 4 (01:25:08):
Serrano JOBU level khones? It's from Major League. Serrano's the
guy with the job.

Speaker 3 (01:25:19):
Yes, bench grades on Isaiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt. Let's
go to the passing game. Xavior Worthy love him this lot.
Last week. He resumed his alpha role immediately upon coming
back to the lineup, and he got peppered with eight
targets deep downfield too, we averaged seventeen yards per pass.

Speaker 2 (01:25:34):
Jaguars middle of the pack pass defense.

Speaker 3 (01:25:37):
Opposing number one receivers against the Jaguars have fared well,
including explosive games for Nico Collins and Jamar Chase, and
the Jaguars in particular getting killed by outside receivers. They're
allowing the second most fantasy points to outside receivers, and
that's Worthy's game. He rarely runs from the slot A
grade Xavier Worthy. Not so much, Hollywood Brown and do

(01:26:00):
Smith Schuster. They do run from the slot, and the
Jaguars are allowing the fewest fantasy points the slot receivers.
The Jaguars slot corner is a guy named Jordan Lewis.
He ranks his Pro Football Focus's third best cornerback. Lewis
is so good right now he is allowing a passer
rating in his coverage that's the same as spiking the
ball on every play. He's allowed one touchdown in his

(01:26:21):
last ten games. So Brown and Smith Schuster on the bench.
As for Travis Kelcey, he continues to get used, but
the problem is he's not getting used downfield.

Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
His ad out is sitting.

Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
At a career low five point seven yards per pass.
It is very hard to fill a box score on
five point seven yards per pass. The Jaguars have been
pretty good against tight ends, but Jake Tongas did get
a score against him last week. Travis Kelce has scored
in five of his last twenty five games. That's it

(01:26:52):
C grade for him and Patrick Mahomes. With the return
of Worthy, gets to be pretty safe. Mahomes posted his
best game of the year last year, probably not as
in an easy game with Worthy back. Jaguars are an
average pass defense every opposing quarterbacks from one or two touchdowns,
and he's a B grade for the Jaguars. Travis Etn
comes in with an A grade. C grades on Brent Strange,

(01:27:12):
Brian Thomas, Travis Hunter, Parky Washington, Baschal Toutons on the
bench for Etn, he's completely rewritten the narrative around him
and the Chiefs run defense hasn't been nearly as good
this year. They rank thirty first and run stuff win rate.
They're seeing the tenth highest run play percentage, and over
the past three weeks they're giving up five point seven
yards per carry. A grade for Travis Etn, Brian Thomas

(01:27:34):
hasn't provided the results we wanted, but he remains the
only real Jacksonville wide receiver to get consistent usage, you
gotta use him here. Tough matchup against a Kansas City
secondary that has not allowed a wide receiver touchdown since
Week one and only a C grade for him. Travis
Hunter is startable in a pinch because he runs from
the slot and the worst starting cornerback on Kansas City

(01:27:56):
is their slot cornerback Tamari Connor, allowing a one hundred
percent catch rate.

Speaker 2 (01:27:59):
He gets C grade.

Speaker 3 (01:28:00):
And Parker Washington playable if Diami Brown misses this game.
That put him on the field enough to perhaps be
startable in a pinch. And lastly, Brenton Strange heavily utilized
with six catches and back to back games, but that
could end here. Chiefs have been an elite tight end defense.
Only one opposing tight end his top two catches and
that was Mark Andrews. Last week C grade for Brenton Strange.

Speaker 2 (01:28:22):
A somber and ernest not to end the show.

Speaker 3 (01:28:25):
Rest in peace, Keith Johnson, Brian Johnson's father who passed
this week. Keith was a devoted fantasy player, installed a
love of sports into his son Brian, who all of
our listeners know and has been instrumental to this show
and also the Chop podcast. Keith was a fantasy player.
He loved listening to his son and Fantasy Football Weekly.
Brian is taking his dad's place in his leagues. Keith,

(01:28:48):
you raised a great son. Happy trails, Keith Johnson. Best
of luck everybody. Next week we'll be back for a
week six edition of Fantasy Football Weekly.

Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
Then in the meantime, best luck this weekend. Bye bye, everybody.
