Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Fantasy Football Weekly, a production of iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Time now for Fantasy Football Weekly from iHeartRadio, your weekly
source for the nation's best fantasy speculation and advice. Now
along with the guys from guete leagues dot com. Here's
your host, Paul Joy.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Welcome to a week one edition of Fantasy Football Weekly.
We are here to bring you all the matchups across
the entire Week one schedule, and I'm so excited to
help you bring home a victory even if you started
aj Brown Thursday.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
We are here to help to Smith. They're both bad.
That is the voice of for Dak Prescott.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Or Dak Prescott. Yes, no, he played good though. Honestly,
it helps.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
When Jalen Carter is not on the field the entire game.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Oh god, that was ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Yeah, in my PPS league, Jalen Carter just crushed last night. Yes, nice, nicely,
nicely done. Also joining me for his maiden voyage for
in season shows, Kent Wyrock. Hey, this is this is
a whole different beast right here. As we break down
every game, letter grades on all the players who matters

(01:17):
we're going to talk through. Take a chance on me
nine players you would not normally start, but you can
this week and some people already in a pinch looking
for help deep dive help yep. Three tough questions coming
up later in this show, premature speculation, and a lot
more to get to over the next two hours. Thank
you for joining us. As we do every show, we

(01:38):
begin with the matchups, right, and we start here with
the Arizona Cardinals and the New Orleans Saints. Scott, this
is a this is a trendy eliminator Survivor pick. People
think it Arizona over the Saints.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yep, it's it's the Arizona is the one I picked
for my Survivor pool that I'm in. So just just
before we start, Kent, just so you know, you're allowed
to say like pluses and minuses, like way, hold on, we.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Do need to establish the rules for new guy, Kent.
What if you do that, you're done, it's over, okay,
Just so you understand, it'll be like your final parting.
Your final parting words will be plus or minus. We'll
be clear on that.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
I hope that I get n F plus today.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Let's go with it.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
You can give yourself all the pluses and minus you want,
all right, but I just can't give players.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
No, absolutely not. We have standards and rules here on
that unlike other places in life. And I know, Kent
people of your generation are used to getting a trophy
for coming in last place. Not here we have. We've
got standards, and you've got four options to choose from
ABC and bench grade. Well, let me the players correctly.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Let me start.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
That will show the way. Yeah, I'll start.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I'll start with one of those four options in A
B grade is what I'll give a few players on
this Arizona Cardinals offense. I'm giving Kyler Murray a B grade.
His season averages from a year ago were two hundred
and twenty five passing yards one just over one score game,
tacking on thirty five rushing yards a game, giving him
a nice floor. He finished his QB ten QB twelve

(03:16):
in points per game. I believe the Saints were bottom
eight in yards allowed to quarterbacks, eighth most passing yards,
six most rushing yards. Kyler does both, so that's good
for him on both fronts. Minimal defensive changes outside of
the acquisition of former chief Justin Reid, who also allowed
a ninety four pass rating in his coverage, So maybe
it's not that big of a change for about average. Yeah,

(03:39):
the concern here may be that Arizona gets way ahead
and they don't need a lot of Murray. But I'm
giving him the B grade. Here his main weapons Trey
McBride and Marvin Harrison. McBride, I'm given the A grade.
I really don't feel like I need to talk about
him much. But tight ends with eight or more targets
against the Saints last year averaged one hundred and seven
yards volume. Tight Ends beat them in. McBride was averaging

(04:01):
nearly twelve targets per game over the final seven last year.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Easy a easy a gy McBride.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Easy a tray. I like it. Marvin Harrison, I have
a B grade on the first half of the year
and the second half of the year were actually pretty
similar in total stats. But the first half stats were
basically six quarters worth of work. He got all his
work done in six quarters. He was a little more
consistent in the second half, but still not a lot
of stats. He came in bigger, stronger, flashing a bunch

(04:29):
in preseason. You have to expect that twenty percent target
share is going to come right back, if not better,
because the guys around him, Wilson, Jones, everybody's the same
pretty much around him. Second year in a.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Growing No changes on the Arizona offense, noah, No eleven
of the same eleven players.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
That's pretty crazy. That doesn't happen very often.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
No second year growing with this offense, and he gets
a full off season with the team this year. Gonna
get a good matchup against koul Aid McKinstry, who allowed
a one h nine point two passer rating against last year.
I could even considering a but it's probably a bee here.
I think that Arizona gets ahead and they don't need
to pass as much late. But how do they get ahead?
That's the question.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Well that's Drey McBride is one answer.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Yeah, and maybe James Connor, who I gave a B
grade as two as well, fifteen hundred yards and scored
nine times last year. Oh you don't say I needed
to get the first one in.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
I im well done. You hit the first nine times
of the year.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Right here, finishing as RB eleven, and he had the
tenth most receptions of running backs. He gets everything when
he's in that backfield. The Saints were six worst against
backs last year, including bottom six in yards and scores allowed,
and is returning six of their front seven, so their
only change is nose tackle. They traded for the Patriots

(05:45):
seventh rounder, so it's not much change at the front there.
Over to the Saint side, I only have two starting grades.
I'm throwing the passing game almost completely on the bench,
and I considered throwing a Lave on the bench too.
I don't know what to make of Ler with Kellen
Moore's offense, how poorly he played last year. Basically everyone's
on the bench except for a Lave. I'm giving a

(06:06):
C grade two in his He only played Week six
and Week eight with Rattler. He went one catch for
five yards in Week six, but it was on two snaps,
so of his two snaps he caught.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
One of the snaps efficiency metrics yes.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
And then in Week eight he only played the first
half with Ratler before he got benched. He went three
for forty one and a half. You know, with Rattler there,
so there's potential that he becomes a safety blanket for Rattler.
Ratlerump pumps him with volume. Cardinals were top five against
receivers last year, so that's not something you like to
see when you got a lava out there starting, but
it's more of a volume play and trailing in a

(06:46):
game script that they'll pass enough to get some to
a lave Kamara, I'm giving a B grade two. In
the three full Rattler games, he averaged eighty nine total
yards over five catches and scored in two of those
three fall games.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
We'll take that.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
So he did he did dump it to him quite
a decent amount. Again, new offense Kellen Moore will see
how that works out. Cardinals were bottom ten against fantasy
running backs, eighth worst against them in the past game,
and last I checked, that's what Kamara is really good at.
So B grade on Kamara.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
All right. The guy that I would consider in best
ball only because it's a dart throw cheap guy, Rashichi. Yeah,
and we'll sty'll be trailing a lot. Spencer Ratler does
have a big arm, so I can see him even
passes downfield at the end of the game. And that's
rashid Shi. He'd specialty way off radar right now, considering
how good he started last year. But Derek Carr was

(07:36):
still there, so yeah, maybe there's a dart throw Darth
throportunity all right, Kent, let's go to the Carolina Panthers
Jacksonville Jaguars. I felt like the single most improved player
in the second half of last year was Bryce Young
and I'm really excited to see the continuation of his
development here against the Jaguars.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
Absolutely, and I think he will develop further. But this
week in particular, I still have to just give him
a C grade. It's year two in the Dave of
Canal systems, so he's still adjusting to all that. The
Jaguars did allow the most passing yards in.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
The week last year.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah, but the problem, well.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
They did add some cornerback help. They got Travis Hunter.

Speaker 6 (08:13):
If he does play cornerback, we're not exactly sure how
much he'll he'll be lining up there. But they also
got Caleb Branshaw and then a free agent Jordan Lewis
as well, so they're trying to at.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Least patch the holes.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
It should be better than last place charge maybe bottom
five still, but you know, after he took the rains
back from Dalton last year, he was quarterback twelve in
points per game for Prince. Yeah, he was doing pretty
good to the end of the season. So and he
quietly has twenty two rushing yards per game, and he
scored six times on the ground last year too.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
I think not enough people are talking about that.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
I agree the rushing aspect of Bryce Young's game is
a is a real fantasy, a tangible fantasy helper. I'd
give him a B grade here, but this is you get.
I was on the border, but you know it's it's
still I mean, but there is no border. It's a B.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Yeah, yeah, we understand, get a joke.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I had to fill that void before we went off
the rails.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
Well, he will be throwing the ball to new receiver
tetor Ro McMillan.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
I'm giving him a B grade.

Speaker 6 (09:08):
He's nursing a hamstring injury, but was not on the
injury port at all for Week one, so he's gonna
be good to go. The Jags used the fourth most
man coverage last year, and in college, McMillan notched an
awesome three point seven yards per route run against man
coverage for Arizona. We'll talk about him a little bit
more in three tough questions.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Yeah, we're gonna we will talk more about Ted McMillan,
and if you.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Want anything here with the teases, baby, that's well done.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
I'm getting rolling right out the gates here, gentlemen. But
if you want any other receivers on his team, I
would just say a void. Zaverly gets the de facto two.
Please do not touch him. Bench bench, bench? Can I
say bench three times?

Speaker 4 (09:44):
Charge? Is that allowed? You? Let it slide?

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Movies?

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Don't say beetlejuice three?

Speaker 4 (09:47):
All right?

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Oh yeah, bench three times. That's the B word.

Speaker 4 (09:50):
We'll allow, all right.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
Well, Swinging over to the backfield, Chuba Hubbard is a
reliable dude. He's getting an A grade today. He averaged
seventeen attempts four targets per game last year, and the
Jaguars out the second most fantasy points to running backs
and did not make any meaningful improvements to their run defense.
Swinging on over to the Jacksonville side of the ball,
Trevor Lawrence, I'm giving a B grade, slightly better opportunity

(10:11):
than Bryce here. The Carolina Panthers allowed the second most
passing yards and fantasy points to quarterbacks in twenty twenty four,
so we got two tough passing defenses here, and he
has a career eighteen rushing yards per game as well,
So a similar kind of floor deal. He's gonna be
throwing the ball to Brian Thomas Junior, coming back for
a second year. He's gotten a grade. You got to
just trust him. You drafted him high. Even with Travis

(10:34):
Hunter here in the receiving room. You gotta trust Brian Thomas.
So he gets that eight grade for sure.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yep.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
Travis Hunter is tricky, but I'm going to go with
a B grade. He was listed as first string wide receiver,
second string cornerback on the depth charts, so I'm gonna
go ahead and trust that blindly.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
And then you know, he scored fifteen.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
Receiving touchdowns for Colorado last year and that's been shown
to be predictive of production at the next level. So
he might actually take a majority of the slot snaps
here and could have a good opportunity against a slot
corner called Chow Smith, Smith Wade someone And I've never
even had a forty nine point six coverage grade for PFF,
so really an opportunity there if he can get going

(11:11):
in the slot and in the backfield's tricky. I'm giving
both Etn and Bigsby a C grade. We're not sure
what the split is going to be here. It's been
back and forth all off season with the coaching staff.
Bigsby was better in run grade, yards after contact per
attempt and breakaway percentage.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
Boom, there we go.

Speaker 6 (11:28):
And then Etn he was a primary pass catcher. But
you know this stuff can change when new coaching staff
come into the fold, So we'll go ahead and keep
an eye on them both with a C grade there
and then you know, base shall tute just bench.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
And then Breton Strange.

Speaker 6 (11:41):
He had two games with sixty plus yards at the
end of last year, but he's a bench for now.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Yeah, well, let's watch student and see what happens here.
I think at in time, Privacy tnzyacht Man out of
this thing because I just don't believe we've seen.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
A lot of it. I think that's probably fair.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
That there's not a ton of talent there, and I
think his time's over. San Francisco takes on Seattle. Christian
McCaffrey already with a calf injury. We're gonna talk more
about him later in the show, but just know this,
even if he does start calf injuries notorious for aggravation,
and you know you can't necessarily assume he will finish

(12:14):
the game, you'll have to start him. I've got a
B grade when I aggregate that injury risk plus a
Seattle run defense. They put up one hundred and six
total yards when he played against Seattle one game last year.
He didn't play many games last year, but against Seattle
was one of them. One hundred and six total yards,
did not score. Seattle ranked twentieth and running back receptions
twenty second in running back receiving yards. So McCaffrey should

(12:36):
be able to help us through the air there. If
McCaffrey gets ruled out of this game, I'm team Grendo
because he's been in the system for a year. But
everybody else in the world, every other fantasy expert analyst,
they're all going to Brian Robinson. I don't get it.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
I'm here all right.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Good thanks lest Yeah you are a fan. Your damn
good one too, Scott Fish. Remember Grendo, by the way,
smoked Seattle last year. He ran it ten yards per
carry when he faced Seattle in the game that Christian
McCaffrey did not play in. So Girndo to me would
be my pivot choice there. Going over to the passing game,
George Kittle obvious a played once against Seattle last year,

(13:16):
hammered him for fifty eight yards and two touchdowns. Juan
Jennings his calf magically healed. Isn't that funny how that happens? Oh,
I got this nagging calf injury that only several million
dollars will help go away?

Speaker 6 (13:33):
Does that mean that money will fix all my ailments too?
Because I mean, if we're going there to fix.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
At To be honest, He'll be guarded by Jennings, one
of the best big bodies, physical receivers in the league.
He's gonna be guarded by a similarly big bodied cornerback,
maybe the biggest in the league, Trek Woollan, as he
now goes as Reek Woolan one of the few corners
who can match up his size six foot four. But

(13:59):
when these teams a matchup last year, they couldn't stop Jennings.
Jennings hammered the Seahawks in the most recent meeting ten
catches ninety one yards in a touchdown. He is a
B grade here and Ricky Piersall will be a big
part of this game plan. With Brandon Ayuk out. DeMarcus
Robins is suspended He's going to build on those big
two final games he had at the end of last

(14:20):
year when he piled up fourteen catches, two hundred yards
and two touchdowns across those two games. He's going to
play all over the field, including the slot, which does
give him a tricky matchup against Devon Weatherspoon is good
Seattle's best cornerback in fact, and one of the really
the better slack cornerbacks in the whole league. Yeah, but
Pearsall is going to be better here and a big

(14:41):
part of this passing game.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
And he comes in and weirdly, I think jennings Zer
does actually help Piersol having a little bit of support. Absolutely,
they're gonna move the offense a lot better.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Totally agree. Uh, Rising tide lifts all boats. Let's go
over to Seattle. Kenneth Walker. Look, he's healthy, he's a
good player when he's healthy. You start him here. B
Grade coming in for Kenneth Walker just you know, no
soft tissue injury of the moment, so we'll go ahead
and start him. Walker scored in both matchups with San
Francisco last year, although didn't do a lot in terms

(15:09):
of yard It's just ran for three yards. Per carry
against San Francisco. But I think the San Francisco run
defense takes a step backwards this year. They lose Leonard Floyd,
they lose Javon Hargrave. I think there's a scenario here
where they're not nearly as good, especially in the very
first week, because they're going to be starting first round
defensive end Michael Williams. And I can see Clint Kubiak,

(15:32):
for Seattle's offense coordinator, choosing just run right at that
rookie San Francisco ranked thirteenth and run stuff win rate
last year and way down at twenty eighth, and Pro
Football focuses run defense ranking a nice opportunity for Kenneth
Walker a bee, But I do think Zach Sharbonay figures
in more heavily here as the team tries to keep
Kenneth Walker healthy and Charbona it's also really good.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I think, Yeah, I think he'll split a lot this.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
They'll be a one two punch.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yeah, I think so too. One A I think will
be Walker. I still think it's like a sixty to Walker,
but sharbon he will be involved in enough to get
him at a sea level here. He looked great last
year and tore up the preseason in limited action. Scharvoney
looked amazing as well, and that'll keep some miles off
of Scharbonay. And already, as I mentioned with Walker, I'm
a little down on the San Francisco run defense CE
grade for sharbon Ay and Sam Donald's fascinating to me.

(16:21):
People are understandably worried he's gonna take a big step
back from what he was last year in Minnesota. No
Kevin O'Connell, no Justin Jefferson, worst offensive line, and those
things are all true. He really struggled when under duress
last year, and this Seattle offensive line is not as good.
But they did put a first round picking to guard
Gray zabel Key will help, but maybe not Week one

(16:41):
as much. I've just got a C grade on Sam
Donald here. Jackson Smith and Jigba draws a tough matchup
in the slot against cornerback Diamador Lenore. He gave up
zero touchdowns in his coverage last year. He is a
tough matchup for Jackson Smith and Jigba. I only get
had a passer rating of seventy two in his coverage.
I also worry about Cooper Cup and we've talked about

(17:04):
this throughout the offseason. Cooper Cup's natural position is slot,
Jackson Smith in Jigba's most productive spot is the slot.
So does this mean they're going to push in Jigba
outside more where he hasn't been as productive. I struggle here,
but I still think Jackson Smith and Jigba's too good
to give lower than a B grade, and I'm keeping

(17:24):
Cooper Cup on the bench for the reasons I just
mentioned this logjam at cornerback, plus the tougher matchup with
Diamador Leonor Rookies Tory Horton and Elijah ar Arroyo are
worth watching but not worth starting in week number one.
All right, let's take our first break now that we
are in the regular season Cadence a Fantasy football weekly,

(17:46):
and we come back take.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
A chance on me time for nine.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Players you would not normally start. Three quarterbacks, three running backs,
and three receiving options. Find out who they are when
we return to Fantasy football week. Oh, doesn't feel good

(18:33):
to hear this again.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
It's so good, it's so good.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Take a chance on me, nine players not normally in
your starting lineup. You know it's regular season time when
it's take a chance on me time, and we begin
at the quarterback position. Scott, give us a quarterback we
would not normally start, but we should this week.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
For possibly the first and only time this year, because
he's going to start bawling out before anybody realizes. It
is all about eleventh or twelve round pick who we
have significantly highly ranked compared to others. Drake May averaged
nineteen Fantasy points per game in full games last year,
has more weapons this year. He was on pace to
be a top twelve quarterback if you extrapulate those full

(19:16):
or near fall games. He gets a defense that allowed
the fifth most passing scores last year. This is a
Raiders defense that has almost a completely new secondary. Most
of their secondary has changed from last year, so it's
kind of tough to judge. But it's also a lot
of journeyman pieces on one year contracts. Mostly Max Crosby
is back as well, but this is Drake May also

(19:38):
averaged forty yards per game on the ground, so this
is a nice floor there too.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
I love Drake May. Yeah, it's just I've built whole
rosters around Drake May. Starts this week against Raiders, and
you're right, he's not going to qualify for take a
chance with me for very long. Yeah, I agree, all right, Kent,
your first ever take a chance on me player is who? Well,
this guy didn't used to be considered one, but now
for some reason, he has two a toung Valiloa.

Speaker 6 (20:00):
It's been drafted pretty late in a lot of my
drafts this year. But you know when his Dolphins offense
was healthy last year from weeks eight to fourteen, meaning
he had all his weapons, he was on pace for
forty eight hundred yards, thirty six touchdowns, and two interceptions.
That's a pretty good ratio, it is, and this dolphinse
Dolphins offense is still the fastest in the league. Between
Tyreek Waddle and a Chain. They're going to slice and

(20:20):
dice these cornerbacks on Indianapolis. The starting ages for those
cornerbacks are twenty nine, thirty two and thirty two, So
they've got speed going against some of the older guys here.
Mike McDaniel's starting to get a warm seed underneath him
a little bit, and so I think both him and
Tua need to be on their game in an increasingly
tougher AFC East Division.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Both of these coaches on the hot seat. Either one
Shane Steichen or Mike McDaniel could be first coach fired.
This game is going to give us, I think false
optimism for the Dolphins.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
Might try.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
I think the Colts are one of the three or
four worst teams in the league this year. We'll find out.
Might take a chance with me quarterback Joe Flacco again. Cincinnati,
for the most part, head coach Kevin Stefanski has had
shockingly good offenses when he isn't anchored to Deshaun Watson.

(21:11):
Last year, in those seven Deshaun Watson starts before he
blew out his achilles, they never topped eighteen points, and
then they lose, They get rid of Watson, Jameis Winston
rolls in, and now the Browns just going twenty four,
twenty nine, thirty two points. It's all different when you
don't have to put up with Deshaun Watson at quarterback.
And the last time we saw Flaco and Stefanski together

(21:32):
two years ago, Flaco went berserk for five games, averaging
two three hundred twenty three yards and two and a
half touchdowns per game. That would have made him quarterback
one on the season. Flaco's got I think competent and
maybe even good receivers. We'll talk more about them a
little bit later in the show. And the Bengals allowed
the fourth most passing touchdowns last year, and this thing's

(21:53):
got shootout written.

Speaker 6 (21:54):
All over all big time. That Bengals defense is exploitable.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
It's very exploitable. Let's go to the running position, Scott,
who is our take a chance on me running?

Speaker 3 (22:03):
I'm gonna go with a guy. I think it's a heavy,
heavy workload, a heavy volume seed. Potentially this week in
Tony Pollard, he's facing off against the Denvers, who were
a pretty dang good run defense last year. They're good
this year as well, but without Tajay Spears. Pollard was
an absolute volume hog with touches of twenty eighteen, twenty five,

(22:23):
thirty one, twenty seven, and twenty two. Yeah, you add
two three four catches on top of that. Granted, he
doesn't get a lot of receiving yards with those catches
he averaged nine point six per game, but he gets
ninety two to one hundred and two rushing yards in
those so he should get enough volume even in a
tough matchup, and with a rookie quarterback under Cender they
might lean on him a little bit there.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
Tony Pollot's going to be a guillotine savior for these
four weeks, just into your volume. I think he's going
to weigh outpace his.

Speaker 6 (22:51):
His He's going to James Connor route almost where it's
like you just can't get rid of him. He's going
to be there just providing volume.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
You're in year out and we'll take that, all right, Kent,
your take a chance running back?

Speaker 6 (23:00):
Yeah, I'm going with Jerome Ford against that exploitable Cincinnati defense.
Even at this point, if Quinnjohn Judkins does sign a
contract and suit up somehow, he's going to be a
non factor. This is a step Kevin Stefanski offense that's
got a little bit of extra layers to it. He's
got to study that playbook and get spun up for
the year. Despite getting Trey Hendrickson back on the Cincinnati defense,

(23:21):
they were tied fifth most rushing touchdowns allowed last year.
So I think Jerome Ford is a pretty good chance
to hit the end zone. And you know what, he's
pretty good. Yeah, he's He had five point four yards
per carry last year and that was one point one
yards over expectation. I mean he was putting up good
efficiency numbers, and then also he had the second highest
rate of twenty plus mile perwer rushes last season.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
I would not have guessed. I didn't think that Jerome
Ford is a speedster, but I do think he's vastly underappreciated.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
Yeah, that true.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Although the team did put two draft picks into the
running back position.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
Yeah yeah, and we'll talk about the other one in
a little bit.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Right, I'm going with a player who might be inactive
on Sunday. Oh, boys might take a chance.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I mean, now that that is the definitition. Yeah, definition
of a chance.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
You're gonna have to pay close attention to this. So
Washington running back Chris Rodriguez as he goes up against
the Giants. Now, the catch here is neither Rodriguez nor
Jacorey Krossky Merit play special teams. So Jeremy McNichols has
to be active, Austin Eckler has to be active, and

(24:26):
one or the other of those two running backs, Rodriguez
or Jacorey Krofsky merrit is going to be active and
the other one's probably inactive for this game. I think
there's I am leaning towards the veteran Chris Rodriguez.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
And he's been good when he showed up for them.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Yeah, he has, He absolutely has.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
This is a third year player in the previous two
seasons four point eight yards per carry, four point nine
yards per carry. And this is a very small sample
sized stat and admittedly so. Chris Rodriguez got thirty five
carries last year among in the highre NFL everybody with
over thirty five carries. Chris Rodriguez ranked number one in

(25:06):
broken tackle rate, very number one. I think Chris Rodriguez
as the veteran is your Week one starter, but this
is you got you got. Obviously you're gonna have to
pay attention ninety minutes before kickoff on this.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
There are a lot of people who are gonna be
happy with a waiver claim on that if.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
That happens exactly all right, Let's go to our receiver, Scott,
who is our taking chance for me receiver.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
I am sticking with the Titans somehow with elick Iominar,
with Ridley likely taken out in this game by Sir
Tan who's gonna shadow him. Fellow rookie are not fellow rookie,
but elick Iominar gets an easier matchup in Riley Moss
in the slot, who allowed nearly one hundred passer rating
against and allowed four scores in his coverage last year.

(25:50):
He also allowed nine point nine fantasy points per games
to wide receivers in his coverage last year. If Ridley's
taken out, Elick might become the quick short safety I
could for rewarden this one.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
I like that angle. And also I don't think his
name is gonna come up in premature speculation, but I
think he's a good premature speculation.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
I considered him for that until Scott snatched him.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Actually, so Scott is going to bring him up later. Yeah,
I'm sorry, I just mowed your lawn. Oh, I apologize.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Yeah, the coaching staff has really talked him up recently too.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Let's go to Kent. Your take a chance with me
wide receiver.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Marvin Mims here.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
You know, last year he was almost exclusively a deep thread,
maybe a couple of screen things, but he was really
low in snaps until the final three games, and he
finally got to forty percent of snaps, which still isn't
a lot. But he seems locked into the second wide
receiver role on this Denver offense for this season based
on the preseason usage. In fact, last year he was
the fourth highest yard per route run only behind Pukinakua,

(26:47):
AJ Brown, Well, rest In Peace, AJ Brown but and
Nico Collins. So he's in a good spot this year
and he's primed for a year three breakout on a
team that feels like they have some pretty solid playoff aspirations.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Should have a functioning offense.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Already mentioned the Browns. We've mentioned Browns a couple of
times here. We like Browns, including Cleveland wide receiver Cedric Tillman. Oh,
I think I'm gonna make a great case here. Cedric
Tillman went undrafted in most leagues, but really promising kid
with some big games already on his resume. Last year,
he was the starter for just five games before he
earned starter status, played five games and then got hurt.

(27:21):
During those five games as a starter, he averaged ten
targets per game, seventy five yards and almost a full touchdown. Unbelievable.
One of his starts was against these same Bengals. He
got targeted twelve times in that game, eight catches eighty
one yards. Cedric Tillman the Bengals secondary pretty bad last year.

(27:44):
Should be again mostly the same secondary, including cornerback cam
Taylor Britt, who allowed a league worst ten touchdowns in
his coverage last year. Cedric Tillman, take a chance at me, receiver.
Let's work in one matchup here, Scott, you've already alluded
to the Las Vegas Raiders taking on the Patriots. Let's
start at the Raiders side this time. Can we start

(28:06):
with Ashton Genty please? But yeah, that's the most exciting
part of this offense. Yeah, I mean, I don't know
what else there is to say. He is awesome and.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
I got an A grade on him now I really
don't have to say much more. Well, the Pats allowed
the second most receiving scores and the ninth most rushing
scores to backs on their way to allowing the fourth
most fantasy points to the position last year, so it's
it's already a good spot. Obviously highly tottered rookie. I
do have an A grade on him. I think the
offense runs through him for sure. In the passing game.
Might as well just go to Bowers, who's the other A.

(28:34):
You're not benching him, You've drafted him in the first
or second round. Pats were middle of the pack against
tight ends, but Bowers was basically matchup proof last year,
So a grade there, agreed, Gino, I do have him
on the bench. You probably didn't draft him to start
him if you even drafted him in your league. Anyway,
the Patriots were is a secondary that was top six
against fantasy quarterbacks last year. Jacoby Myers, I am given

(28:57):
a C grade too, and it's it's a little bit hesitant.
Carlton Davis and Christian gonzaz will be on the outsides,
just taking out the outsides. Deontay Thornton and Trey Tuck
are gonna have a lot of trouble out there, but
Myers is going to get the better match up in
the slot. He saw nearly twenty five percent of the
targets in the offense after DeVante Adams left last year. Yeah,

(29:17):
and I don't see a lot of that changing, honestly,
especially with those really good outside receivers in this one.
So with that amount of volume, I think he can
get there on a C grade.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Agreed.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Over to the other side, Drake May was my take
a chance on me quarterbacks, so May I probably like
his wide receivers a little bit. I guess Stefan Diggs
is apparently looking awesome. We're not even sure what he's
going to do. If he'll be outside or in the
slot where he played fifty two percent of the snaps
last year, but he can do both. In weeks one
through eight last year, Diggs was wide receiver eight in PPR.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Is that good? I didn't remember dead Diggs being that good?

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Like yeah, and that was from the slot. That's mostly
Pop Douglas's role. So we'll see. But if Diggs does
venture in the slot, he's got a good matchup against
Darnay Holmes, who was you know, one hundred and three
rating against last year in four scores, or Jeremy Chan
newly acquired, who also had a fairly rough year why
he was a free agent. But if he does go outside,

(30:11):
he should still be fine as well because he'll match
up against Eric Stokes who had ratings of one and
four and eighty six the last or eighty seven the
last three. But last year he was in limited snaps
and then benched. So what about my guy, your guy,
oh Kaishan.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Budy, I do want set against the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
If you want to espouse love on the booty, you cad.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
I've never heard.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
Of it called espousing love before Bob, I have a
bench grade on him. He does get Kayu Kelly, who
played thirteen snaps last year as and is on his
fifth Teamsin's be drafted, so I mean you do have
I like.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
That last Well, we'll talk more about Kaishan Boody later
in this show cap.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
I also have I also have Pop on the bench.
I'm not exactly sure what his role will be, but
if he does take over this lot, I already mentioned
the poor the poor defensive backs that might be following him,
so I could see a C grade there, But I
do have him on the bench. I have Digs with
my only grade there. I have Hunter Henry on the
bench as well.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Raiders were optimistic of a hero, you know.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
I know, Raider Raiders were not great against tight ends
last year, and Henry was pretty good on both counts.
But now Henry has a lot more competition and the
Raiders secondary is different. You didn't probably didn't draft him
to be a starter, but with Digs there and pass
catching backs two pass catching backs, I just don't trust Henry.
First this week out, I.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Can understand that.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Nothing for Omar Coop, no hold on, no nothing, We're
retired Amari Cooper. But I do have a C grade
on Trevion Henderson. Yeah, should get the passing down work
and more. McDaniels does do a split, so Stevenson's still
going to get work. Otherwise I'd have a higher grade
for Henderson. But I do have rim Andre Stevens on
the bench for now because it's possible Henderson just takes

(32:03):
that roll over for during the game and we don't
see a lot of Stevenson that we've seen that before.
Raiders defense gave up more than their big share of
big plays last year and we're bottom three in miss
tackle raid. So it's a decent spot for Trevion Henderson.
It could be for both of them, but I don't
I don't know that I trust it yet.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Watch the health status of new left tackle Will Campbell,
taken fourth overall and he's been struggling. If he doesn't play,
I'm very nervous about that. Patriots offense and Max Crosbill
lined up right, yes, that that could be a problem
when we come back. Dolphins taking on the Colts. Devon
A Chad It's been all bad news all preseason. But

(32:43):
can you start him here? We'll find out when we
come back. Welcome back Fantasy Football Weekly, Paul Charchie and

(33:06):
Scott Fish and Kent. Whyrock with you? If you want
to follow us on X, I am at Paul Charchie
and Scott is at Scott Fish twenty four and Kent.
You're gonna have to spell You're gonna have to spell
it out.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
Well, it's super German k E N T W E
y R A U c H.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
You gotta get the rock in rock. Yeah, rock chock,
Yes for thor for rock chock for Thor.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
We miss Thor. We go to three matchups into this segment,
beginning with the Miami Dolphins at the Indianapolis Colts. Kent.
We've already talked some about this one. Let's start on
the Miami side. Devon a Chan's adyp slid from the
middle of the first round to the middle of the
second round over the course of the month of August.
What do you think about him here against the Colts?

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Yeah, I'm giving him a B grade.

Speaker 6 (33:49):
He did have a limited participation in Wednesday and Thursday practices,
but the coaching staff did come out to say that
he's absolutely on track to play. So I'm gonna go
ahead and give them a little bit of confidence there
and that he's going to be out there on the field.
He played seventeen games last year, touched the ball twelve
times and all except one game that he left early.
And honestly, his reception floor is great. He ran the
most routes in the league last year. He's gonna put

(34:11):
up PPR points.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
No problem for him going over.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Did you say a grade?

Speaker 4 (34:16):
That was a B grade for him?

Speaker 6 (34:17):
Just the I'm scared a little bit with the calf stuff.
You know, we got that going around, I guess, but
you know, behind him in the backfield if if something
does happen, Ollie Gordon, I have a bench grade on him.
I think we're gonna come to blows over this. But
he could get the goal line work. He was awesome
in his sophomore year college and then fell off a
little bit his junior. He's a great runner. And the Colts,

(34:37):
you know, they did allow the seventh most rushing yards
last year. I'm just worried about the volume.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
But did you hear what Mike McDaniel said about him?
That might change your opinion.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
Go ahead and give it back to me.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
I would give it back to you. Mike McDaniel said
about Ollie Gordon, running back for the Miami Dolphins. He'll
have zero plays or all the plays, zero yards or
all the yards or somewhere in between.

Speaker 1 (34:58):
No, well, he's not gonna feel Oh, he's so cryptic.
The goal line work, if there is any, and sometimes
the ball just doesn't land inside the three yard line,
and that's the goal line work is going to Ali Gordon.
I don't think in my mind there is no question
about that. I just don't know that. Does that happen
to happen happen to occur against the Colts. I'll mention

(35:20):
this the end of last year. The Colts run defense
allowed nine rushing touchdowns in eight games, and touchdowns in
seven of those eight different games.

Speaker 6 (35:30):
Yeah, I totally get it. It's just worried about the volume.
And it's Week one, you know, I don't know if
I really want to go out on a touchdown or not.
So that's the biggest thing for me. I'm going to
give Tyreek Hill a B grade. We kind of talked
about those old slow, well maybe not slow cornerbacks. But
tyreek Hill is probably faster than them still, and despite
a lackluster twenty twenty four season, he was fourth in
air yard share with forty one percent of the Dolphins

(35:52):
are yards. They just didn't quite connect with the backup
quarterback situation that was happening last year and stuff like that.
So he was also eleventh in red zone targets and
scored five times with only one vintage long tyreek Hill touchdown.
And I think that could change this year, so we'll
see one of those week one, hopefully. Jalen Wattle, I
am also going to give a B grade too. Like
I said, the band is back together, so I'm gonna

(36:14):
go ahead and believe in it until it falls apart.
After to a return from injury, Wattle was averaging sixty
four excuse me, after to a return and before Wattle
got injured, see how bad it is. Weeks eight through
eight through fourteen, he averaged sixty four yards per game
and that's when he scored both of his touchdowns that
he had all year. So, like I said, if they're
all there, I'm believing, and if they get injured, then

(36:34):
I'm not. And then you know, I had a bench
grade on Darren Waller, but they decided to do that
for me.

Speaker 5 (36:39):
Don't have to worry about that, Ye game, it was
starting him anyway. Let's go over to the Colt side.

Speaker 6 (36:43):
Yeah, I mean, we got the Daniel Daniel Jones experience
going on here. He's gonna be grade for me, though.
He's got a better variety of weapons this year. He's
got a rushing floor of twenty six and a half
yards per game. The Dolphins cornerback room is gutted, and
their starters right now are Jack Jones, Storm Duck awesome
name by the way, it is awesome, and Jason Marshall Junior.

(37:04):
So it's a collection of pretty much nobody's right now.
And I think that even Daniel Jones just slinging around
will happen into a couple of good passes along the way.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
I've got so many animal sounds on this button. Bar Oh,
I've got an ard vark. But you know what I
don't have, I'm a duck. Oh we're gonna have to
be that oh duck. I mean, if Storm Duck turns
into a guy. We're talking abut all the time, everybody's
abusing Storm Duck. We're gonna have to get a duck
on the button bar.

Speaker 6 (37:28):
Yeah, And honestly, I was considering an A grade, but
he's just got a deduction every week with the combination
of his turnover problems and then Anthony Richardson's still waiting
in the wings hoping to get his shot. I think
it's done, but you just never know.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
Honestly, it needs to be like thunderstorms with duck sounds
under like.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Going yeah, first storm duck.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
He deserves that much effort for sure.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
All right, any other parts of the passing offense you
want to get to yeah.

Speaker 6 (37:51):
Michael Piman B grade in games with flack of last year,
he averge eight targets sixty three yards and scored a
touchdown in half of his games. Final two games of
twenty twenty four targets both games, fifteen receptions, one hundred
and eighty one yards, and a score.

Speaker 4 (38:03):
So I like him.

Speaker 6 (38:04):
This week, Josh Downs, I am also going to give
a bee too. We got bees across the board here.
He averaged and a half Fantasy points per game last year.
He's going against the slot corner Jason Marshall Junior, where
I mentioned, who was a fifth round pick this year
with almost no slot experience in college, so it's going
to be an experiment on the defensive side of the
ball for sure. Tyler Warren, I want, I wanted to

(38:26):
give him an A, but I couldn't. He's got to
be as well. Like I said, be's across the board.
They have a good coverage linebacker in Tyrrell Dodson who
gave up a passer rating of just seventy three last year,
and he could see him a decent amount.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
So we're gonna go ahead and give him the beat there.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Jonathan Taylor obvious A.

Speaker 6 (38:41):
Yeah, yep, he's an A. He's locked in on volume
he was off. It's awesome down the stretch. Don't need
to worry about it.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
Let's go to Cincinnati taking on Cleveland, and this hoon
take long because the Cincinnati side, everybody you would start
is an A grade.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
Yeah, and it makes sense.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
I don't know to urge you to start Joe Burrow, Jamar,
Chase t Higgins, and Chase Brown. I'm only gonna mention
this about Chase Brown. He was my number five running
back in the preseason, a way higher than most remember.
He caught all those pesses in the second half of
the season. He's gonna be heavily involved in the passing
game here. Brown's were a surprisingly good run defense last year,
but they rebuilt half of their front seven, including two
rookies who are starting this year, Mason Graham and Carson

(39:18):
swetching Her and Miles Garrett's got a hip injury and
he might not play in this game. So it's game
on for all of your Bengals. And then on the
Brown side, Joe Flacco was might take him, take a
chance to me. Quarterback, Cedric Tillman was my take a
chance on me wide receiver Jerome Ford was kn't take
a chance on me running back. I've got him with
a C grade. I've got Flacco and Tilman with B grades.

(39:39):
A grade on Jerry Judy last week went berserk after
Deshaun Watson was gone. His average game including games with
Bailey Zappi and Dorian Thompson Robinson at quarterback.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Now erase that from my memory, right, well he even remembers.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Right, Jerry Judy was still averaging ten targets, seven catches
ninety six yards per game second half of the season,
and as I discussed with Cedric Tillman, and take a
chance with me, the Bengals are not a good pass defense,
allowing the fourth most passing touchdowns David and Joku A grade.
Thing's gonna be a shootout. Last year, the Bengals allowed

(40:16):
the third most tight end yards, the second most tight
end touchdowns, and the most tight end receptions. Even if
they're moderately better this year, it's a great start for
Njoku and he teed off against the Bengals last year.
Get a load of in Joku's two game totals against
the Bengals twenty four targets, eighteen catches, one hundred and

(40:38):
forty two yards, and a touchdown against the Bengals.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
That's wild.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
That is wild. Dylan Samson, We're gonna watch this rotation,
but optimistic about him, but I can't get of a
starting grade at this stage for him, and especially with
a potential shootout and a lot of passing coming. All right, Scott,
let's go to Titans taking on the Denver Broncos.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
Sure we already know that elk iminar is My is
a C grade. Take a chance on me player. I
had Tony Pollard same as far as far as the
rest of the Titans go, I have them all on
the bench first game, cam Ward first game, Top ten defense.
They bring a ton of pressure and blitz is uh

(41:18):
Calvin Ridley is going to be shadowed by Pat Certan.
I'm not going to trust that. As far as I
can throw it, I don't know how I would throw that.
That doesn't make sense to me.

Speaker 1 (41:26):
If those guys had to throw each other, who would win?

Speaker 3 (41:30):
Certain could throw Ridley further.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
Over on the Denver side, uh bo Nicks, I'm giving
a B grade to middle of the road matchup against
Titans D. But they got Lagarious sneedback. They're much better
in that first half of the month last year with Sneave.
But Steed's coming off in acl tair right, So like
that's that's no small thing to come off of. Nicks
ended the year on a tear with multiple passing scores

(41:56):
in seven of his last eight. Showed his rushing upside
throughout the year, despite all four of his touchdowns coming
in like the first five weeks he had. He had
a lot of rushes and a decent amount of yards
later in the year, average seven point five carries per
game over the final month, which is that's a lot
of running by a quarterback. That is yeah, so I
have a B grade on him. I think he's got
a nice safe floor here. I have a C grade

(42:18):
on Courtland Sutton. He does get that shadow treatment from
Lagarious Need most likely, but again coming off the ACL,
so we will see how well that does. You could
talk me into a BEE from Sutton just based on
how how he ended that last year as a top
twelve pace wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
Yes, and a second only to Mike Evans an end
zone target rate.

Speaker 3 (42:40):
Honestly, I'm just gonna move it up to a B
even like I felt it was a bee even with
Lagarious Need, you know, back in healthy he's coming off
in ACL.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
I think Suddon to me, I think Sutton's going to
be one of the players receivers who outpaces his ADP
the most. He's got top ten wide receiver.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
I have him in a place very happy with it.
Me too, Marvin Mims was Kent's take a chance on
me player. I have Franklin, Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant
wide receivers for the Broncos on the bench, but both
have both have looked good in preseason and gotten a
lot of buzz from Sean Payton. Troy Franklin's got some
breakaway speed. Pat Bryant, Sean Payton keeps talking about reminds

(43:20):
him of Michael Thomas, so that's something to keep an
eye on there. I mean, they're not startable yet, but
keep an eye on Evan Ingram. I got a C
grade on supposedly playing the joker role for Peyton, which
has been productive in the past. But Peyton tight ends
are rarely productive unless it's actually a wide receiver miss
labeled on a fantasy platform. So s grade on Ingram,

(43:41):
Dobbins and Harvey. I think they're gonna split. I have
a C grade on both, actually think I think Harvey
and Dobbins both get enough work against a bottom ten
run d this week, and Denver is eight eight point favorites,
so they're going to get a lot of the run
game involved throughout the game. So segrades on both of them.

Speaker 1 (44:01):
Yeah, we're gonna talk more about R. J. Harvey in
a few minutes on this show. If you don't know,
there are tons of great tools at fantasylife dot com,
including the amazing utilization score that pulls together everything we
know about how valuable a player is inside his own offense.
Plus did you know you can get all of your
life scoring across all platforms in one place at fantasylife

(44:21):
dot com. We encourage you to check that out our
number two Fantasy Football Weekly. Coming up next, our number

(44:41):
two Fantasy Football Weekly. Paul Jarchian, Scott Fish, Kent Wyrock
with you. Robbie Rosenhaus helping us out with the technical
production of this show. Appreciate his help. As always, this
is a game we call three tough questions. We encourage
you to play along and see if you can go
three and zero.

Speaker 4 (45:00):
Tough question number one.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
On this show this year, will Carolina rookie wide receiver
Ted McMillan most commonly be an A grade, a B grade,
a C grade, or a bench player. We begin with
Scott Fish.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
Yeah, I wanted to go super bowld here and say
A grade, but I look back at how even guys
like Brian Thomas Junior. It wasn't until later in the
season when we started routinely giving as to them, and
that's happened routinely that it's that doesn't really happen. So
I went B grade. Carolina's ascending gave some very good
teams some fits at the end of last year. Dave
Canalis has made qbs and wide receivers before Bryce long

(45:43):
Young Looks revived the Panthers twenty twenty five strength to
schedule by Fantasy points based on the website Fantasy Boyds
allowed to position above average basically those players again, those
how wide wide receivers did against other teams and then
averaged out second easiest schedule for QB's second easiest schedule

(46:04):
for wide receivers for the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Very nice, A.

Speaker 3 (46:08):
Likely target hog. I don't know that I can trust
Renfro for the first four weeks or more or Cocher
to soak up that feelin's eight targets per game. I
just can't get ballsy enough to say an A. I'm
gonna go a B.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
All right, Ken on this show throughout the entire year.
Will Carolina rookie receiver Ted McMillan most commonly be an
A grade, a B grade, a C grade, or a
bench grade player.

Speaker 4 (46:31):
And no pluses or minuses are allowed in this question either.

Speaker 3 (46:35):
This is a little bit of a gray area when
it comes to three time question how many.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
Times a guy gonna get a plus or minus grade?
When you can't give plus or minus grade.

Speaker 4 (46:46):
I'm gonna go with B grade here as well.

Speaker 6 (46:48):
You know, he ran about twenty eight percent of his
UH snaps from the slot last season. He'll probably do
a little bit more early in the year here with
Jalen Cocher out hunter referral, I'm not too super worried about.

Speaker 4 (46:58):
He's six'.

Speaker 6 (46:59):
Five he is the potential to be the tallest slot
heavy receiver in the league this. Year he LED fbs
last year with four and a half yards per route
run from the.

Speaker 4 (47:07):
SLOT i don't am he's going to.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
Run from the. Slot mind he's.

Speaker 4 (47:09):
GONNA i bet you he's around thirty percent snaps from the. Slot,
WELL i.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
Could see, thirty but that's still predominantly. OUTSIDE i just
think it's.

Speaker 4 (47:16):
Going to be a situation where they scheme them up
against someone especially it's easier against slot cornerbacks for.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
SURE i think they're going to move Le get to the.
Slot but that's just. Me we'll see as a, heavy
as a deep you know, It i'll.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
Play the slot all do? It?

Speaker 4 (47:29):
Ready there you?

Speaker 1 (47:30):
Go, okay your answer was be, yeah. Yes you have
to have some core beliefs to understand this. Question. First
Bryce young is. Good there are a lot of people
listening right now that don't believe THAT i. Do Dave
canalis is an elite level quarterback. Coach, ye what he
did with uh liqu what.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
He did With smith And baker may you.

Speaker 1 (47:47):
Know, Smith Baker mayfield and That bryce Young, ian it's,
UNDISPUTABLE i. Think and you have to agree That ted
McMillan is going to be a target. Hog you used
that exact, Phrase, scot target hog in this. Offense somebody's
got to catch, balls and he's the obvious guy with
feeling traded Away cocher on. Ir this off the whole
passing offense goes through. McMillan i went through the schedule

(48:10):
you alluded to this, Earlier. Scott, yeah there's no stopper
games on the entire. Schedule there's no tough ones except
maybe The jets With Sauce gardner week, seven.

Speaker 3 (48:20):
And he plays all on one side.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
Exactly he only plays one side of the. Field you,
know they don't HAVE Dj reid. Anymore he's In. Detroit
SO i didn't see anywhere this year where A c
or bench grade is. Coming and Like scott, SUGGESTED i
don't Think i'm quite ready to give him a. Seat
i'm not ready to Put tech McMillan in The you,
Know Jamar, Chase Justin Jefferson AUTO a. Grade he's going

(48:43):
to get SOME a, grades, yeah BUT i THINK b.

Speaker 6 (48:45):
Grade NOW i had an advantage on this. QUESTION i
got degrade him this, week SO i got out to
an early.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
START i already got one in the.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
House tough question number.

Speaker 1 (48:53):
Two we haven't played a game, yet And christian McCaffrey's
already questionable with a calf. Injury now eleven out of
twelve listeners right now don't have him on. Rosters so
we're talking to those eleven right. Now should you try
to acquire him to capitalize on the panic that his

(49:14):
fantasy managers currently have and to further hone down on
this and WHAT i think you'd have to give. Up
i'm suggesting you'd have to give up a running back
two to get, Him so that means somebody that you
would have drafted as your second starting running back to
go Get christian, McCaffrey who three days ago was going
in the middle of the first. Round we begin With

(49:36):
kent for this.

Speaker 6 (49:37):
ANSWER i, MEAN i think my answer, is, obviously if
you can get him for a, discount go do. IT
i think the people who drafted him have already kind
of baked in the injury risk a. Bit the forty
nine ers are dealing with a lot of other injuries as,
Well So i'm, hoping maybe more than, anything that this
is precautionary and that he will be on the field week.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
One all, Right, scott should fantasy managers try to trade
Four christian McCaffrey at the now reduced cost of a running?

Speaker 3 (50:04):
Back? Two do you agree that time is? Valuable heck,
YEAH i? Do do you do you agree it's it's
good to get? SLEEP i love.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
Sleep sleep's the.

Speaker 3 (50:15):
BEST i like, sleeping and AND i like not having
to check my rosters and the news every other day
to try to figure out what's going on. Here i'm
just gonna. Pass i'm just gonna. PAS i, mean it
has to. Be everything always depends on. Price BUT i
don't know if any McCaffrey owner currently is willing to
go to the price THAT i would take on that

(50:37):
that amount of checking my lineup and checking the news
and sleeping at night to have McCaffrey on my.

Speaker 5 (50:42):
Roster you hit right on my key talking. Point did
you like HOW i presented that very well, done very well.
Done so the correct answer is. No this is an aging,
player And christian, McCaffrey with a long history of soft tissue,
injuries who's already hurt In week, one playing the position
that is most vulnerable to. Injury THAT'S i can't sleep
nights like. THAT i can't be on pins and needles

(51:03):
for seventeen weeks worried about whether or not this is
the week That christian McCaffrey ends up ending his.

Speaker 1 (51:09):
Season if he's gonna play This. Sunday you, Know i've
Got we've set this up as AN rb. Two WOULD
i GIVE rb? Two so we're talking About Chewba, Hubbard Omarion,
Hampton James, cook Maybe David. Montgomery i'm Not i'm not
laying awake nights worrying about those. Guys not every.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
Week.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
Now McCaffrey may play On sunday and he might be,
great but you know, what one week from, Today i'm
still Sweating christian McCaffrey's soft. TISSUES i don't want to
think About christian McCaffrey's. Tissues the correct answer is.

Speaker 4 (51:40):
No tough question number, three in.

Speaker 1 (51:43):
What, week if ever DOES. R. J harvey become the
ongoing starter for The. Broncos And i'm looking for a
specific week, number BUT i will give you a correct.

Speaker 4 (51:56):
Answer i'm gonna give him the business with a deviation
of one.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
Week we begin With Scott.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
FISH i think it's if, ever that's, fine you can.
DO i am not giving you a week. Number i'm
honestly not sure it fully. Happens it takes a while
for rookies to get good at the part that he
has issues, with which is past. Protection he didn't play
third downs or passing downs in the. Preseason he played
a ton like thirty four of forty four first and second.
Downs he absolutely played those that it was close to

(52:25):
that stat that's it's very. Close it's it's been stated
as an. Issue if they split enough to keep, both
they might split enough to keep both healthy as. Well
peyton has a long history of using multiple backs a
ton in his. Career in, fact he's had two top
thirty Six fantasy backs seven times in his. Career you
might think back to like The Ingram kamara days and

(52:46):
things like. THAT i know That dobbins is listed one
on the depth. CHART i know That harvey needs to
work on. PAS i just think it's a one two
punch most of the. YEAR i think they. SPLIT i
don't think there's a, takeover all, Right ken unless.

Speaker 1 (52:59):
Injury what, week if, ever does OUR J harvey become
the ongoing starter for The. Broncos?

Speaker 6 (53:05):
YEAH i mostly mirlat of What scott. Said if we're
going by fifty one percent touch majority week, Eight but
if we're going for like sixty sixty five, PERCENT.

Speaker 1 (53:13):
I think the phrasing was exactly. Right i'm not going,
Starter so this is the guy on the field for
the opening series of. Plays start ongoing. Starter oh, Now
i'll go.

Speaker 4 (53:25):
Later Then i'll go like week.

Speaker 1 (53:26):
Twelve all, right so you're putting a week on. It scott, said,
never you're going week. Twelve there is a very specific
answer to this that will become.

Speaker 3 (53:34):
Correct the week after our. Bye it is week.

Speaker 1 (53:37):
Six, well their bye's. LATE i looked at that as a.
Possibility the week their bye is, LIKE i don't, know
week fourteen or.

Speaker 4 (53:42):
Something, oh, no is a? Twelve? Dang, well, okay, THIRTEEN
i changed my thir.

Speaker 1 (53:45):
Thirteen, okay there you go in week. Five so listen
to this setup for week six for OUR J. Harvey
in week, five The broncos faced last year's best run,
defense The Philadelphia, eagles even Though philly looked mortal On
Thursday night WITH i think once they Get jalen carter
back and this defense is you, know they got a
lot of moving parts and, DEFENSE i think when they
they're still probably very very. GOOD. Jk dobbins Struggles week

(54:10):
five against The. Broncos then it's a short week with
travel To london the next week for an early, morning
Early sunday morning game In. London Sean payton brings in fresh,
legs just like he did in twenty seventeen With Alvin

(54:32):
kamara as a. Rookie camara was very quiet Until Sean
payton played In Wembley stadium in front Of colin mccockney
And peyton unleashed his rookie running back In Wembley stadium
with fifteen, touches ten receptions at ninety six yards and a.
Touchdown and history will repeat itself in a week number

(54:56):
six AS. R. J harvey gains the confidence Of sean
pay for the new starting.

Speaker 4 (55:01):
Role time as a flat circle six boom.

Speaker 5 (55:04):
Baby week six is the correct Answer' Sean Payton wembley.

Speaker 1 (55:09):
Theory, Yes i'll forgotten about this In week. Six i'm
count of, you and you guys remind me when this
all comes. True Tampa bay takes on The Atlanta. Falcons,
kent let's talk through this. Matchup Tampa bay is going
to be without starting left Tackle Tristan. Wurfs that worries
me a little bit, here but OTHERWISE i feel like
it's wheels up for Our. Buccaneers what do you?

Speaker 4 (55:28):
Think, Yeah i'm going with A b grade On Baker.

Speaker 6 (55:29):
Mayfield wurfs is a big missing component of this, offense
And Chris godwin is obviously going to be out as.
Well think The falcons have made efforts to improve their.
Defense four of their first draft picks we're all defensive
side of the, ball including linebacker Edge Jalen, walker and
then they made their top three agent free signings free agent,
signings Including Letard. Floyd so they're working on. It if

(55:50):
it's going to be, Something so we're expecting some regression
from that touchdown percentage of seven eight point two percent last.
YEAR i think this is a barometer game For, baker.

Speaker 4 (55:59):
So we'll get him a be.

Speaker 6 (56:00):
There, okay he's gonna be throwing the ball To Mike.
Evans i'm giveing him A b matchup as. Well he's
going probably mostly AGAINST Aj, terrell who's a very solid
player six, one so we can handle the size Of.
Evans last, Year Mike evans suited up for one of
the Two falcons. Games he caught five to six targets
for sixty two yards and two, scores but neither were
IN Aj terrell's. Coverage he was mostly on God win that,

(56:21):
game SO i don't know.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
Why they Were, well got, okay god he was not
a slot. Guy godwin is run of the. Slot that's
a weird.

Speaker 4 (56:27):
Matchup, yeah and Then Mecca.

Speaker 6 (56:29):
Buka i'm giving him AN a grade coming out of
the gates with AN a. Grade he's got the opportunity.
Here he's going against a slot, Cornerback Billy bowman. Junior
he was a fourth round pick out Of oklahoma and
allowed a passer rating of a one to twenty five
in slot. Coverage last year At buka ran eighty one
percent of his college routes from the slot For Ohio.
State he's getting welcome to the show level targets here.

Speaker 4 (56:52):
Today.

Speaker 1 (56:52):
YEAH i like It buka quite a. Bit i'm with
you on THE a. Grade it's polled and.

Speaker 6 (56:56):
Defensible, Yeah kate on real QUICK c grade ninety percent
of the. Snaps he's like the last girl at the
bar type of a. Player he's just gonna be. There
and Then Bucky, Irving i'm gonna give him A b
grade as, well not quite AN.

Speaker 4 (57:09):
A they got their full stable of.

Speaker 6 (57:10):
Backs you, Know Rashad white worked through his injury, problems
so just limiting him a little. BIT i Expect bucky
to get an uptick in targets and routes this.

Speaker 4 (57:18):
Game With godwin. Out last year he had the second
highest receiving. Grade he's, good so Us i'll.

Speaker 1 (57:22):
Be, great really underrated. Receiver, yeah most of our listeners
don't realize how Good Bucky irving is through the.

Speaker 6 (57:27):
Air the only thing is forty of his fifty two
targets were behind the line of. Scrimmage i'd like to
see that increase a little, bit and maybe we'll see
it this.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
Week. YEAH i like that part as. Well how about
the is that all the? Bucks, yeah that's all for
the bucks go to the. Falcon we can go to
the falcons side of the. Ball B Jon Robinson STARDOM a.
Grade that one's nice and. Easy Drake, London i'll give
an a as. Well he could see fifteen or so
targets With mooney either missing or hampered in this. Game
we don't know that for sure. Yet and then in
the three penic starts last, Year Drake london averaged thirteen,

(57:56):
targets seven point three receptions in one and seventeen are
per game and score. Twice he was looking real. Solid
Michael Pennix. Jr i'm gonna give A sea.

Speaker 6 (58:04):
Grade i'm not quite there on getting him in many
starting lineups. Yet he's a projection and sounds Like vitave
is going to. Play is one of the best pass
rushing d tackles in the.

Speaker 1 (58:13):
Game, yeah run stuff for two for, That, yeah, exactly
great defensive.

Speaker 6 (58:16):
Tackle and then you know, What Kyle PITTS c. Grade
he's got to get in some lineups deeper. LEAGUES i
think he's going to be. Fine he's going against h excuse.
Me the HIGHEST pff coverage grade Among buccaneers non quarterback
defenders was sixty three point three last. Year they have
some really rough around the edgends linebackers and if they're
going to get him an off coverage stuff like, that

(58:37):
and the downside is that there's just really not that
many receivers to, cover so they might cover pits with a.
Cornerback SO i think he's going to have a decent.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
Game, yeah picking The kyle The Kyle pitts spots are
always really want TO i want.

Speaker 3 (58:52):
To throw a flag on the field on, third three tough.
Questions after That wembley, Game Alvin kamara was listed as
the starter and we twelve and week thirteen of that
season after, that, well and that's, it.

Speaker 1 (59:03):
Yes but the usage rammed way.

Speaker 4 (59:05):
Up it did, right, absolutely that was that.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
Mark ingram was they were mark ingram right. There but
that is where that is where his rookie season. Vaulted
was that That it was absolutely.

Speaker 3 (59:17):
Ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
Yep he was so, Good, yeah so.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
Good.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
Yep when we come, back we'll talk about The giants
not so good and The commanders maybe. Good we'll talk
about whether or not which giants you can Start My
lak neighbors pretty, obvious what About, Tyrone, Tracy Russell. Wilson
we'll talk through the giants when we Returned Fantasy Football.
Weekly welcome Back Fantasy Football. Weekly Paul chargi And scott

(01:00:11):
Fish Kent wyrock with you another block of matchups beginning
with an inter divisional clash between a good team and
a bad. One it is The giants taking on The.
Commanders are presumed good and. Bad we'll find out every
season is fresh and new on The giant. Side Mylak
neighbors is an OBVIOUS a. Grade we don't need to
spend a lot of time on. This the foot injury
of preseason appears to be, passed and it looks like

(01:00:34):
he's good to. Go here wheels up in the two
game series With washington last, Year Melik. Neighbors do you
always want to guess how many Targets Malik neighbors had
in two games Against? Washington every?

Speaker 3 (01:00:46):
Time every? Time twenty Seven.

Speaker 1 (01:00:50):
This is Not price's right rules twenty, three twenty nine
targets in two games against going To stick last. Year
it's gonna be starting a rookie at Cornerback Trey. Amos
it's game. On it's game on For Milak. Neighbors the
only other part of the passing game you consider starting
probably superflex. Only Russell wilson Ce grade here look good
in the, preseason really. Good he threw three touchdowns against The,

(01:01:14):
commanders last year as a member with as a member
of The Pittsburgh, steelers of, course but also This Daniel
jones played both of the games against The commanders last
year For Brian dabole two touchdowns and two. TOUCHDOWNS i
think we, could we, might we could get two touchdowns.
Out Russell wilson is not impossible. Here one of. Them

(01:01:34):
lak neighbors one two. Rando so we'll give a seed
grade To Russell. Wilson and then the Last giant you care,
About Tyrone tracy scam Cat Cam, scamcattabo Cam scatovo missed
most of the. PRESEASON i don't think he's gonna have
a significant role because those are a lot of meaningful
reps for rookie to. Get but one of the roles
that he could have is still goal line. Back AND

(01:01:56):
i wouldn't be surprised if Cam Scattago scatabo helps with
a go line. Here but that's so random and we've
seen so little of him THAT i can't give him
a startup. Grade, no BUT i can put A b
grade On Tyrone. Tracy. Sure washington's run defense was bad last.
Year they allowed the fourth most, yards fifth most rushing
touchdowns and a lot of offseason change In washington's front

(01:02:18):
seven in the this, year and mostly not for the.
Better they Lost javon they, well they Gained Javon. Kinlaw
he's a disaster against the. Run they're Starting Von miller
in at least in passing situations that could Be Tyrone
tracy on third. DOWNS i don't love the changes. Here
Tyrone TRACY b grade with everything except a touchdown as
upside for. Him all, right let's go over To. WASHINGTON

(01:02:42):
i talked earlier in the show about this fascinating situation
With Chris rodriguez And Jacory Krosky. Merritt one of the
two probably inactive for this. Game the other one gets
A c grade for, me AND i think potentially. STARTABLE
i outlined my case For Chris rodriguez. EARLIER i can
spend a lot of time on. This Jacorey Krossky merrit

(01:03:03):
was vaulted up one hundred draft spots From august first
To september. FIRST i don't think that necessarily makes him
an auto start, here but If Chris rodriguez is, inactive
that Makes Jacorey Krossky merritt would get enough carries to
make him.

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Worthwhile If Krossky, merritt If Bill Krofsky merritt is inactive.

Speaker 4 (01:03:21):
On, twitter it's.

Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
Executives, yeah it's gonna be on. Fight i'm telling you
this is a real.

Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
Possibility. People you, know Maybe i'm GONNA i will probably
be wrong on this, angle BUT i Think Chris rodriguez
has got a very real chance as the veteran to
be the starter.

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
Here the key point is pick Up Chris.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Rodriguez that is a key, takeaway if not now for. Later,
Also Austin eckler be great. Here Brian robinson gone an
expanded role is very, possible BUT i still Expect eckler
to mostly be the guy we saw last, year which
is going to be change of pace, runner lots of.
Receptions last, year The giants were bottom ten in receptions
to running backs and receiving yards to running, Backs so

(01:03:59):
great out opportunity. Here in the two meetings last, Year
eckler posted eighty five total yards against The giants and
eighty three total yards against The. GIANTS i think that's
right about, here and that is A b. Grade Austin
eckler going to the passing, Game i'm gonna start With
Deebo samuel with A c. GRADE i Think Cliff kingsbury
wants to establish anybody else is a viable receiving threat

(01:04:22):
Besides terry. Mcclaurin SO i think he's Gonna Pepper debo
with some targets here they catch With deebo's always This
In San, francisco at least it was all line of scrimmage.
Targets And Deebo, samuel as good as he can, be
it's just so hard to get meaningful yards after catch
when you're getting the ball at the two yards off
the line of. Scrimmage so he does have a massive

(01:04:45):
size advantage Over washington's slot, corner a guy Named Drew
phillips who's one hundred and eighty. Pounds SO i do
Like samuel in this, game AND i do think he
has an, opportunity AND i THINK i like him IN
PPR c grade On Deebo. Samuel and then that brings
us to the other parts of the passing game that
you care, about including Zach. Ertz last, year one good

(01:05:05):
game against The, giants one bad. Game giants were a
shockingly good tight end, Defense like the one thing they
could do last year was stop tight. Ends they allowed
the second fewest, catches fourth feust, yards six few of
touchdowns to the. Position i've got Zach ertz preferably on
your bench if you're in a. PINCH i startable just
because he's got a fairly high, floor but ideally you,

(01:05:26):
start you do not start Zach ertz in this.

Speaker 6 (01:05:29):
Game catch, ball fall, down that's what he. Does, yeah
that's a.

Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
Little bit of who its As, ertz who Zach ertz
is at this late stage of his. Career and that
brings us to TWO a grade Players Jaden daniels And
terry McLaurin obvious, starts OBVIOUS a. Grades last, year The
giants were bottom ten and fantasy points allowed to, quarterbacks
And Pro Football focus Ranked New york twenty eighth in.
Coverage so like both of those guys a. Lot New

(01:05:54):
york's first round Rookie Abdul carter looks like he might
be an amazing pass. Rusher but It's week, one and you,
know we're not exactly carving a bust From canton For
Abdual carter, yet AND i don't think he's going to
be a game wrecker. Here The giants quarterbacks cornerbacks are
pretty Shaky Deontay, Banks. PAULSON aedabo ranked His pro football

(01:06:15):
focused cornerbacks one hundred and twelve and fifty seven last. Year,
So Jaden, Daniels terry, McLaurin you're gonna start him, anyway
And i'm not going to give you any reason not.
To all, Right, Scott let's go over To pittsburgh taking
on The. Jets this is a Rebuilt pittsburgh offense with
a lot of new, parts AND i don't like most
of them in this.

Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
Matchup most in this. Game it's the lowest projected game
total of the week and The steeler lowest projected game
total of the, week and it's really two. Qbs he
probably didn't even draft, anyway unless he Drafted fields for the.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
FEE a lot of people Drafted fields as a starter
because of the rushing upside that he. Brings BUT i
don't like him in this.

Speaker 3 (01:06:51):
Catjob, No, No let's stay on The pittsburgh side side for.

Speaker 4 (01:06:54):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
Though The, jets despite LOSING Dj reid and replacing With Brandon,
stevens who had two good years in two not so
good years with The ravens three, years thirty six million
dollars deal last, year The jets were allowed the fifth
fewest yards and second fewest scores to. Qbs they're tough
against qbs and wide. RECEIVERS i have a bench grade On.
ROGERS i have A c grade On metcalf Because rogers

(01:07:16):
gets tunnel vision, sometimes and especially later in his, career
he gets totally tunnel. Vision SO i Think metcalf's gonna
get quite a bit of. Work he's faced off against
The jets and Mostly Sauce gardner twice. Before in those two,
games five catches for sixty nine scoreless yards on fourteen.
TARGETS i think he does more than that seven target,

(01:07:37):
average and they can scheme him away From Zaas gardner
very very. Easily so just go to the other side
of the. Field that's all you have to.

Speaker 1 (01:07:45):
Do that's all you gotta. Do it's not that.

Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
Hard, Yeah SO i have A s grade On, Metcalf
John neu And friarmouth in that Sharing Arthur smith SPLIT
i have on the bench in the run, Game Jalen
WARREN i have A c grade. On he'll be first
in line, touches but this is a guy who's never
had more than fifteen carries in a game in his.
Career he always splits like in, FACT i think it's
only three games over twelve carries in a game like

(01:08:09):
he just he's not a workhorse. Back he's the best
patch pass. Catcher he's arguably the best pass catcher of
the Three pittsburgh, Backs so that that could help keep
him on the field and keep him with THAT c.
Grade he's also the veteran. There they Got Caleb, johnson the,
rookie and they Got Kenneth gainwell from The, eagles who
are both on my. Bench over to the other, side Justin,

(01:08:30):
FIELDS i do have a bench grade on. Him they
just Lost Elijah Vera tucker for the, year their right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Guard huge, loss the best lineman they. Had, yeah that
is a monumental loss for The.

Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
Jets, yeah and he's getting A steelers defense that they
don't allow rushing yards to. Quarterbacks, oh thirteen point five
rushing yards per game to.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
Quarterback that's it fourth best in the. League So fields
doesn't even get necessarily gain rushing help.

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
Here Lamar jackson had sixty eight yards in his two
games versus The steelers total sixty eight, yards which is
that's low For. Lamar it's great for a lot of.
Quarterbacks but it's low For. Lamar he Only fields only
averaged one hundred and seventy six yards passing per game
in his, career even last year In pittsburgh with a new,
team it was one hundred and eighty four yards per.
Game he doesn't pass a, lot so fields on the.

(01:09:17):
Bench Garrett. Wilson i'm giving A b grade, too because
if there's anything going, anywhere It's. Wilson you could talk
me into A c, grade, honestly BUT i got A
b grade on. It if The jets do anything and
it's going To. Wilson wilson's been a target hog since
entering the. League i'm gonna credit no film analysis a
guy on blue. Sky that's a that is a person's

(01:09:38):
that's his handle on blue. Sky listen, now listen to
how Inefficient wilson has. Been wilson is one of seven
wide receivers with four hundred plus targets since the start
of twenty twenty, two so since he came. Out he's
first in routes in that time four hundred. Targets he's
last in, receptions, yards, touchdowns open target, rate first down,
rate touchdown, rate target. Rate among those seven target, hogs

(01:10:02):
he's last among all of. Them, like he's not efficient
with all those, targets but you should get he should
get enough volume.

Speaker 6 (01:10:10):
Well justin fields that stat's gonna even be better after
this entire season is.

Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
Done a whole lot of targets and a whole lot
of inefficient for the run. Game the only GRADE i
have Is Brice. Hall i'm not going to buy The
Braylan allen splitting camp talk UNTIL i actually see, it
because we have not seen them actually do that in games.
Yet SO i have A b grade On. Hal it's
a top Ten steelers run dy from a year, ago
But Brice hall went for one forty one and a

(01:10:35):
score on that d last year with six, catches SO
i got A b. GRADE i think he's very startable IN.

Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
PPR i think The jets have bottom four team where
you know THEY i think they're at the top of
the draft taking a quarterback next.

Speaker 4 (01:10:49):
Year the vibes are.

Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
Bad the vibes are, very very bad with The. Jets
Hope i'm. Wrong you, know we always want we want
good things for every, team even The. Jets detroit takes
On Green, Bay kent and we get our first look
at new offensive Coordinator John morton In, detroit And i'm
anxious to hear what you think about their opportunities against
hated Rival Green Bay.

Speaker 6 (01:11:07):
Packers, YEAH i, MEAN i think a lot of the
scheme is still gonna come from That Ben johnson style of.
Thinking Jared, goffo why change? It, yeah Exactly, So Jared
GOFF i have A c grade on The packers allowed
the third least fantasy points to quarterbacks last. Year goff
against them last year had one, good one bad, Game
So i'm kind of leaning a little bit more towards
the bat on this one week. One they have some

(01:11:28):
offensive line. Woes Kevin zeitler And Frank ragnow are now.
Gone it's gonna be tough sledding from. There So Jamior
GIBBS i have AN a. Grade you're gonna start. Them
he can overcome those problems just through playmaking. Ability David,
Montgomery i'm downgrading to A sea. THOUGH i think that
could affect him a little.

Speaker 4 (01:11:43):
Bit more Than Jamiir cobbins line.

Speaker 6 (01:11:45):
Loss, yeah And Micah parsons obviously is going to improve
their d line.

Speaker 4 (01:11:48):
Situation he's listened as.

Speaker 6 (01:11:49):
Questionable he's got that bad thing they're dealing with But
i'm treating him as though he's playing for.

Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
Now he insists he's going to Play Micah.

Speaker 6 (01:11:55):
Parson, yeah The packers have allowed the eighth least rushing
yards last, year so it could be a little bit
harder For montgomery Than. Gibbs i'm On Rossain brown THOUGH
i have an A he's just a reliable floor guy
in terms OF ppr five plus receptions in fourteen games last.
Year The lions will want a, shorter higher tempo passing
offense with those offensive line, problems SO i think they

(01:12:16):
go to him a. Lot Jameson, Williams i'm gonna give
a CE i like his opportunity this, year but not this.
Week he is going against the toughest part of The
Green bays secondary is their safety, tandems so he's gonna
deal with them a lot in the deep. Zone and
Then Mike parsons is going to make it tougher for
deep plays to.

Speaker 4 (01:12:32):
Develop So i'm giving him a. Scene totally agree with.

Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
That and we all Know Jamison williams all about these
deep ball connections and That's packers are a tough team
to get those. Against. That, yeah that's a good, call
AND i think there's a reason to be hesitant with.

Speaker 6 (01:12:44):
HIM i hope he flushes out his rout tree a little,
more but certainly it's his calling.

Speaker 4 (01:12:47):
Card So Sam, laport on the other, HAND i have
A b.

Speaker 6 (01:12:49):
Grade last year after returning from, injury he averaged seven
point three targets fifty one yards and scored four. Times
The packers second year linebacker Edgarn cooper is the sixth
highest coverage, grade, though so we got to be a
little bit careful about. That he's really good in. Coverage
so that's it for The lions. Side over on The, packers.

Speaker 1 (01:13:08):
Do we Get Isaac?

Speaker 6 (01:13:09):
Tesla oh excuse, me, Now i'll all have the bench
grade on. HIM i got to see it BEFORE i
put him in any.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Lineups If thor were, here he would be handing out
doling OUT a grades To Isaac tesla right now on.
Promise but, well well minimum.

Speaker 6 (01:13:24):
Minimum well he's got two a's in his, name so
that's For.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
Thor oh you know who he's got when he gets
really Good isaac.

Speaker 4 (01:13:31):
TESTS i like.

Speaker 1 (01:13:36):
That, yeah all, Right so for that, matter you know
what he really should. Be Isaac testlaw with the two
a's should be the fantasy.

Speaker 4 (01:13:44):
Ard bar right leans right into, it.

Speaker 3 (01:13:46):
It does right Into it's. Perfect it's like a before
and after put the words, yep.

Speaker 4 (01:13:52):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
Okay so we've been doing the Ard bark as the
DOUBLE a. PLAYER i think we should start Considering isaac
test as the fantasy yard.

Speaker 6 (01:14:01):
Park, well let's see what he does on the. Field
then maybe he's got to earn. It BUT i liked
the JUST i love the. Idea maybe like.

Speaker 1 (01:14:10):
A DOUBLE a battery The Energizer Bunner rede, Matchup, kip
we were done with The detroit side going over to The,
Packers So i'll side track this.

Speaker 6 (01:14:18):
Significantly i'll get us back on track. Here Jordan love
gets A c. Grade even if he pays out his
healthy games last, year he would have thrown the ball
one hundred fewer times in his twenty twenty three breakout
campaign after The week ten by he threw for two
hundred and fifty plus yards just twice in eight, Games
so a little bit tougher. There and the once Deep
packers wide receiver room feels pretty shallow for A week

(01:14:39):
one with some of the injuries and the footstuff That
Jayden reid's dealing. With, who by the, way if he does,
play gets a bench grade for. Sure Matthew, goldan on
the other, Hand i'll give him a. Bee he's gonna
be the top guy. Here he, is, however gonna likely
see the newly acquired CORNERBACK Dj, reid who had a
seventy plus coverage grade every year since twenty, nineteen so
he's very. Solid or if he does move outside, him
it's gonna be twenty twenty five first Rounder terry And,

(01:15:01):
arnold so a little bit tough for him. There Tucker,
Craft i'm given A c, grade though he's a little
bit lower because The lions allowed the least fantasy points
tight ends last year by a decent, chunk like second
place was half a point, sipparate so it's gonna be
tough lending for. Him Jack campbell's great in, Coverage alexanderloni's
great in. Coverage they're both top ten, linebackers so tough sledding.

(01:15:22):
There and Then Josh. Jacobs i'll give A b grade
to him if you Ignore week eighteen when they were
arresting their. Starters he had fifteen plus touches every single
game last, year so he's. Solid, well he's very. Dependable
he probably doesn't have the huge, upside but be great for.

Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
Sure, yeah all, right let's uh when we come Back Premature.
Speculation for those of you who don't, know we're gonna
jump in The Fantasy Football weekly Time. Machine, yes we
give you guys to pick up now that everybody else
is going to be trying to pick up next. Week
but they're already on your team because The Time, machine
The Fantasy Football Weekly Premature speculation Time. Machine coming up,

(01:15:58):
Next Fantasy Football Weekly final Segment Fantasy Football Weekly Paul

(01:16:22):
jarchi And scott Fish, kent whyrock with? You we begin
this segment with a trip in The Fantasy Football weekly Time,
machine as we give you guys to pick up now
that everybody else is going to be trying to pick
up next.

Speaker 3 (01:16:37):
Week, Scott, Yeah i'm GOING i thought About. ELK i
am an, art BUT i decided to go with slot
receiver for The Houston, Texans Jaylen, noel who is going
to take the place Of Christian kirk this way this.
Week super, fast super explosive cuts on a dime wide.
Receiver kirk's going to be out this. Week i'm not
sure it's a great start this. Week we'll talk about that.

(01:16:59):
Soon but they are on. It next week was bottom
five against the slot next. Week oh so all, right, Yeah. Dalen, No,
well if he does show up this, weekend you'll have
him for next week for the better.

Speaker 1 (01:17:09):
MATCHUP i like it he'll get a letter grade next.
Week the way things are shaping up right, Now, kat
who's your premature speculation.

Speaker 6 (01:17:15):
Player, Yeah i'm going With Cleveland browns running Back Dylan.
SAMSON i Think jerome for is the better start this.
Week Dylan sampson is probably not going to get a
lot of, run but like we, said This cincinnati defense is.
Exploitable he should get some fun opportunities to showcase his.
Talents At, tennessee he ran for fifteen hundred yards and
score twenty two. Touchdowns he had some really good. Numbers

(01:17:35):
he was tied actually With Trevon henderson And Bashall tutin
for the highest top end speed at the, combine meaning
the last thirty.

Speaker 4 (01:17:42):
Yards he's.

Speaker 1 (01:17:43):
FAST i already Mentioned cleveland wide Receiver Cedric. Tillman he
is my one a, choice BUT i already talked about
him a. Lot so let me just throw one other
dart throw guy on your, radar and that's Kay Sean,
Booty oh, boy the starting receiver for The. Patriots. Nobody
most people don't eve know who's Opposite Stefan, diggs but it's.
Him if you Think Gray may is going to get,

(01:18:03):
better this kid started to splash at the end of the.
Year he had two of the last three games of
The patriots seasons were Big booty. Games he had a
ninety five yard with one touchdown game in week, fifteen
then in week, seventeen ex excuse, me week eighteen he
had a one hundred and seventeen yard game with one.

(01:18:25):
Touchdown he's your starter And Keayshawan. Boody nobody talking about
him deeper. LEAGUES i think he's an intriguing premature speculation.
Player all, right let's go to our final set of,
matchups including The vikings taking on The. Bears the ONLY
a GRADE i have between both TEAMS.

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Tj.

Speaker 1 (01:18:42):
Hockinson there's a ton of issues with The vikings wide.
Receivers all of them have got some kind of tumult to,
Them BUT. Tj hawkins, Sorry Also Justin, jefferson who's an
obvious a and does not require. Elaboration The bears allowed
the sixth most yards to tight ends AND i am
going to elaborate On Justin jefferson for just. Second chicago's
eleaite Cornerback Jalen johnson has got this groin. Injury he

(01:19:02):
may have a play in this. GAME i, mean if
he doesn't go. Out Justin jefferson turns into the conversation
as wide receiver one overall for this. Week the Other
vikings wide receiver is going to Be Adam. Thielen been
in this offense now and back with this team for
about ten. Days he should have enough of the playbook
to be on the field pretty often here and he'll
get coverage From Tyreek, stevenson who's just a, guy and

(01:19:23):
in the Slot Kyler, gordon who's pretty good as a slack.
Corner and that's enough to Get Adam thielen as a
STARTABLE c grade for your. Team FOR jj, McCarthy this
is a Bad bears run defense and a really good pass,
defense and they're not going to ASK jj McCarthy to
throw much in this. Game they want to establish the.
Run we're gonna talk About Jordan mason just a, second

(01:19:45):
and that's WHY jj McCarthy is on the bench due
to low. Volume and even Though i've GOT a grades
On hockinson And Justin. JEFFERSON i don't see volume games
coming from either, guy AND i can only GET i
can't GET jj McCarthy to a letter grade. Here you
could probably Twist iron into a, seed But i'm If
Jalen johnson does not. Go let's talk about The vikings

(01:20:05):
running game and WHY i Love Jordan. Mason kevin O'Connell's
repeatedly said he's going to usher in a more balanced rushing,
offense and it starts right. Here chicago ranked thirty first
in rushing yards allowed last, year one hundred and twenty per,
game and they gave up the most rushing. Touchdowns And
Jordan mason is going to be the goal line runner

(01:20:27):
for The Minnesota. VIKINGS i think he scores a touchdown.
Here he's got two touchdown upside if things break right for.
Him The vikings happen to get the ball inside the
five a couple of. Times Aaron jones just that's A
b grade On Jordan. Mason Aaron JONES c grade because
he's going to lose half the carries To. Mason he'll
lose one hundred percent of the goal line work To,
mason and The bears while being an easy run, defense

(01:20:49):
and that is going to help him. Here they're really
good against receiving, backs where we Think Aaron jones is
ultimately going to be very, helpful but maybe not. Here
only three runners topped twenty seven receiving yards against The
bears all of last, year and neither Were Aaron jones
in the two. Games let's go to The bear. SIDE
Dj moore is your highest Graded bear with A b.

(01:21:12):
Grade The vikings rebuilt their secondary almost from scratch in the,
offseason and they may be without star veteran Safety Harrison,
smith and that looks very promising FOR Dj, moore and
all of that change in The vikings secondary should produce
some opportunities take advantage of that tumult and some probable
miscues in The viking. Secondary two OF Dj moore's last

(01:21:33):
three games Against minnesota have been gigantic, games including the
last year's game In chicago with one hundred and six
yards and a. TOUCHDOWN i like him here a, lot
AND i like him more Than Roma, dunese who comes
in with A c. GRADE i think in, Time Ben
johnson is going to unlock the potential Of Roma. Dunze
BUT i don't think it's going to Be week one
against a great blitzing, team not Only Caleb. Johnson they're

(01:21:56):
gonna Ask Caleb johnson to hold the ball more than
like one to two, tick make a, read get rid
of the. Ball it's going to be fast timing stuff From,
caleb AND i don't think that's going to Help Roman. Williams,
yeah thank, You Caleb. WILLIAMS i don't think that's going
to help.

Speaker 3 (01:22:10):
Him.

Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
Here Colton, Loveland Luther, burden a Little olamedia's a chaos
all run from the. SLOT i don't want to start
any one of them here BECAUSE i think they cannibalize each.
Other AND i just want to see and learn more
about what this usage rotation is going to look. Like
and then, lastly in the passing, Game Caleb williams c.
Grade AS i, mentioned the priority here is to stay

(01:22:32):
on script For Caleb, williams and that means one, read two,
reads get rid of the, ball quick. Stuff it doesn't
add up to a lot of fantasy points in all,
probability just to s grade for. Him and Then DeAndre.
Swift Ben johnson roasted The vikings last year with The,
lions but they Had Jamir, gibbs And gibbs was awesome

(01:22:53):
against The, vikings And swift just isn't that good last
year amongst starting running backs dead last in rushing yards over,
expectation dead, lasting yards after, contact second from, last and
yards per. CARRY i can only get you to A
c grade For DeAndre. Swift let's go to our next,
game which is The texans taking on The. Rams.

Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
Scott, yeah we'll start with the passing, game WHERE i
have A c grade ON. Cj, stroud probably a low
END qb two this. Week The rams were bottom twelve
and a bunch of categories versus quarterbacks in the back
half of last, season but they also faced a few
high powered. Offenses they kind of tilted that a little.
Bit it's a vaunted pass, rush it's a TERRIBLE o.
LINE i don't know THAT i can Trust stroud with

(01:23:33):
how he played last year to get athing more than A.
C BUT i do have AN a grade On Nico.
Collins let in a ton of categories before his, injury
and that was and The rams do get a ton
of pressure they but they allowed the fourth most wide
receiver touchdowns And collins is Still stroud's like would be
his safety. Blanket he doesn't care if he's. Covered he'll
still throw it to it that so he's still going

(01:23:54):
to get those. Targets Jayden higgins And Jalen nowell my premature.
SPECULATION i don't have enough to give them a starting grade,
here but you do want to watch them for the.
Future they could be assets later on in the running.
GAME i am not starting any of these four, Runners
chubb Or pierce or A, Goomba wally or any of
them against against This rams defensive. Front i'm just not

(01:24:17):
going to do. It they only allowed nine rushing touchdowns
last year, too SO i have them all on the.
Bench it is interesting to note That Damian pierce might
be the best run scheme fit for that new, offense
so that's WHAT i purposely did. That oh, again over
to the other. SIDE i have A c grade On
Matthew stafford and his back. Ailments The texans defense is.

(01:24:37):
Stout stafford has spent the offseason dealing with, that but
he's not on the injury. Report they do bring a
high rate of pressure at the, quarterback But rams are
solid at all three. Levels but The stafford The rams
end of the, year Hut stafford had multiple scores in
seven to the last. Ten the offense was really starting to.
Cook and now they Got DeVante, adams WHO i give
A b grade. To we watched him way better Than

(01:24:59):
Garrett wilson most of the last. Year he still had
every bit of the. Stuff but he Gets Kamari laster
who had a forty nine percent catch rate against and
a forty six percent passer rating as some.

Speaker 1 (01:25:08):
Numbers he's really.

Speaker 3 (01:25:09):
Good, yeah so it's a tough. Spot only A b grade.
THERE i got an AUTOMATIC a On, nikoua who had
ninety five plus yards in seven of his nine full.
GAMES i don't even talk About NIKOUA a grade. There
Kyron williams gets A b. Grade consistently fifteen plus, touches
gets the catches every. Year we hear rumors of lightning
the load and it never. Happens so until it, Does

(01:25:30):
i'm just gonna assume it. Doesn't still a tough defensive,
Matchup so he gets A b.

Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
Grade all, Right, Kent let's go to The ravens and The.
Bills this is a Superstar leyden roster.

Speaker 6 (01:25:42):
Here, yeah this is a huge over under fifty one
and a half. Total Lamar jacks And Josh allen are
both going to BE a grades there obvious starts in
drafting them. High Derek henry's and a you just run
him out. There Zay. FLOWERS i have A c grade
On lamar just has a twenty eight career attempts per game,
Rate so it's just it's tough to get him the.
Volume he only had four games with ten plus targets last,
year none After week, eight so it's. Tough like he was.

(01:26:04):
There he's a good, player he's just not getting the
volume THAT i think he. Deserves the other receivers on
The ravens are a bench and Then Mark. Andrews i'm
giving AN a. Grade isaiah likely is ruled. Out he's
likely to not, play so we're going to extend that
touchdown streak That Mark andrews ended last season.

Speaker 1 (01:26:20):
With, yeah he was so good at the end of
well really after About week five last.

Speaker 4 (01:26:24):
Year, yep. Yep So.

Speaker 6 (01:26:25):
Buffalo you, know LIKE i, Said Josh allen's a. Start
Khalil shakir he's dealing with some injury. Stuff sounds like
he might, play But i'm still not excited about. It
The ravens have one of the best secondaries in the.
League they added Jay Or, alexander who has his injury
stuff when he, plays he's really, yeah. Exactly they got
tons of good players, there So i'm not super confident
On shakir Or Josh. Palmer he's a bench either, way

(01:26:47):
even If sekire, sits so Can't, Caleman i'm not touching.

Speaker 4 (01:26:50):
Either he's a.

Speaker 6 (01:26:51):
Bench donkin, Kid i'll give him a bee just simply
because of the tight end.

Speaker 4 (01:26:54):
Position you gotta have guys like.

Speaker 6 (01:26:56):
Him in four full games prior to A, Pcl sprainy
is averaging six seven and a half targets per, game
forty two yards per, game and he let all tight
ends and targets per route run but had a low catch.
Trade AND i think that'll bounce up a little bit this.

Speaker 1 (01:27:08):
Year, Yeah, FREKINCATE i think there is there is some
opportunity for improvement this. Year Dawson knox is.

Speaker 4 (01:27:15):
Just a storm in his. Side, yeah, Later, darsy it's
got to fall off For.

Speaker 6 (01:27:18):
DAWSON i, mean it's a GREAT nfl tight end Combo
its just went.

Speaker 4 (01:27:21):
Fantasy it's it's a. Stickler how About James?

Speaker 6 (01:27:23):
Cook, Yeah James cook is an obvious start as, well
a great just any.

Speaker 4 (01:27:27):
Great, yeah he's.

Speaker 1 (01:27:28):
Plugging the eighteen touchdowns last year were way out of the.
BLUE i don't, KNOW i don't.

Speaker 3 (01:27:33):
Know he had three the first, year six the, next
so he doubled and then he had, eighteen which.

Speaker 4 (01:27:37):
Trip he's on an, Exponent so what's.

Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
What's eighteen times? Four, like what's the on phase?

Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Four?

Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
Now seventy two seventy seventy, two seventy, two that's a big.

Speaker 1 (01:27:49):
Year on, added that would be a very big.

Speaker 3 (01:27:51):
Year.
