Speaker 1 (00:12):
I'm here to serve you.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Sorry, K.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Are you calling any games on Big ten Network anytime soon?

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Yes, sir, December fourteenth. This is this the next game
me and Corey provis Oh sweet, Yeah, I'm super excited
to work with Corey' it here.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
It's a home game against Texas Southern. It's a noon game.
Vikings are a Sunday night football game. So if you're
so inclined, tune into Big ten Network at noon on
Sunday and listen to me and Corey. My first time
working with Corey. He's obviously so great at what he does,
so I'm excited.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
To set the earth guy too.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Right.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I re upped my my Big ten subscription, so I
have some audio.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
Don't we think we made that sneaky thing anymore?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
National Network No plus signs behind the BTN on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
So did we play Galveston in that first one? Or
who was your very first one? Green Bay?

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Green Bay was the first national game? And there are
some plus games along the CE plus.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
The first plus that you know, I asked Webb Gardner Web. Yeah,
there you go, Gardner West, Yeah, close right, CJ. Gardner
Web Cool. Now the with the Golden Gophers basketball team.
Since we're there, upset of ranked Indiana. All right, we
haven't chatted with you since then. Now, Purdue was next
after getting waxed at home by Iowa State. Parker. Uh,

(01:32):
Purdue was number one in the country. Correct me if
I'm wrong here. I think they lost by twenty three
points at home.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Yeah, it's the largest home loss from an AP number
one team since Yukon lost to Villanova in nineteen ninety
five by.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
The same amount of points.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
So, yeah, twenty three point loss for a home AP
number one team is basically unheard of.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
And as here were walking into here.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Well, as you know, Taylor's brother plays for Iowa State,
So I was watching that game pretty intently.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
I did not know that. Oh now you know.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, all I know is that your brother plays in
the Northern Conference.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Well he's in lat vianaw my brother, Oh yeah he was.
He was at Citadel in South Carolina. Yeah, Taylor's younger brother,
her middle brother plays at Iowa State and was part
of that big win. He plays a lot. Yeah, yeah,
he's six man on their team. Sometimes sometimes start some games.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
All right, so let's start banking these n CUAA tournament
guess we have like a Jeni Broom last year. That's right,
because Iowa stay, it'll be in the tournament. We got
a Heizi. Yeah. Yeah, I was.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Thinking about Brevan span four this week.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Oh true, you know, but I don't know what their
schedule is off a Thursday night schedule.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
But let's start banking the Yeah, let's do that for sure.
But yeah, Purdue is a is an awesome team. So
the fact that Iowa State went in there, they really
kind of flex their muscle against Purdue and Matt Painter,
head coach. Purdue really had had no response and they
got their butts whoops.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
So does this mean that we are potentially the short
term slumpbuster for the number one team in the country.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Yeah, I wonder. I've always curious level of frustration.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Yeah, I'm always curious what a coach like Nico Medved
going in there now on Wednesdays is you have to
play the number the former number one team who just
got busted at home by by almost twenty five points.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
So like Purdue, I have injuries or something. No, they
just got ran out of I State really really good
Iowa State.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah, so I listened to some I listened to some
bit and the last twenty national champions. You have to
be a top ten offense, a top ten defense, and
you have to be undefeated going into Thanksgiving. There's only
four teams that were that Iowa State, Perdue, Duke, and Michigan.
Who knows if that holds up. But Iowa State is
as legit as they come. They're led by their point guard,

(03:39):
Taman Lipsey. He's he's an Iowa kid. He's about as
true of a point guard, steady shooter passer as you
can find. He's a tremendous talent. So Iowa State is
definitely a team to keep your eyes on. So what
do we think the pointspread is going to be here
on this thing? Is this like a twenty, like like
a minus twenty. I doubt it gets that high just
because the Gophers beat Indiana, who was a top twenty

(04:02):
five team earlier this week. But this is a Purdue
team at home. It's so difficult to go into Purdue
and win. That's why you also got to give I
always said a lot of credit.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
I bet it.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Opens up around thirteen or fourteen, especially with the fact
that the Gopher's point guard is out for the year
and they're big man who has been out for the
past about three or four games is still kind of
day to day. I don't know the severity of the injury.
It's not really out there, so I would I would
probably err on the side of him not playing, and
that probably kind of raises the point spread as well.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I would imagine mister Medved, let you watch practice, Yeah, okay,
so what do you think of his action?

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Like what do you think?

Speaker 3 (04:43):
I mean, you play, You played for Ben and you've
played for a lot of coaches, so you know offensive
and defensive schemes and the action off of it and
everything like with Medved obviously without oversharing, what makes his
stuff unique where you're like, hey.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Well, I think you first look at the fact that
he's just continued to rise, right Like, he's at Furman,
has a lot of success there. He goes to Colorado State,
has a lot of success there, and now he's at Minnesota,
his hometown team, And there's a reason you get to
that point. You have to have done something pretty good.
So then for me, I watch what's the good that's happening? Well,
you watch his offense and it's the most flowing offense
you'll ever. See, it's a Princeton style of offense. It's

(05:20):
basically a five out system where everybody's involved. There's a
lot of cutting, there's a lot of pin downs. And
then you look at Caid Tyson. He's ninety seventh in
the country almost one point seven points points per possession
on cutting type of situations.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
So that's about as.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Elite as it gets.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
I think that's a credit to is IQ, but it's
also a credit to Nico's offense. So now you need
to get the guys right now, you need to get
the nil money so you can get all this elite
talent in there. But when you look at just the
offensive kind of prowess, yeah, Nicos he's got it going on.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Lastly, your Timberwolves of one five in a row, Naz
Reid with a big shots Saturday against the Clippers. Swaggy
p Fox on TikTok was in attendance. They the Wolves
haven't lost since the OKC game with them.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
What are you seeing there? Yeah, they look really good
right now.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
They look like they look like a group that that's
really playing for each other. Aunt was hot for a
while the last couple he's cooled off. But but Jaden
has really stepped up. Nas has really stepped up. And
now this is a game tonight where you had it
wrapped up in Phoenix about two weeks ago and you
lost it down the stretch. So I know this team's
going to be motivated going into this one. Sons are
a really good team. They're kind of a team group too.

(06:28):
They don't really have Devin Booker's your guy, but they
don't really have like this, you know, breakout type of guy.
So I think it's going to be a really really
good game tonight. I got the Wolves in a tight
one though, and then very cool Jim pe chirt. I
saw an X and you took a picture. You took
a picture with Jim Peterson. Where did you get that?
And like why did you get it? Why did you
wear it?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Well?

Speaker 4 (06:48):
I had this company reach out to me, their uniform goods,
and they DM me and like, hey, would you want
this shirt? They know I'm you know, pretty tight with Jimp.
We golf a lot together in the summer, and I
was like, heck, yeah, let me get that shirt. So,
you know, we go back to the bit where I'm
facetiming Taylor. What should I wear to the game tonight.
All right, first thing we both thought of was the
Jim Peterson T shirt, so we rocked with it. He

(07:09):
loved it, his wife loved it, and it got featured
on FanDuel a little bit too. So right, any publicity
is good publicity.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Vah. I wouldn't go that far, but I understand what
you're saying. Great seeing you and we'll see how Wednesday
works out, depending on Finchy and or Heinze and things
like that. But God bless you and your family. Tell
Taylor I say hello and we'll see you soon. Allright,
loing Man, Yeah, love you. Bud Parker Fox at Parker
Fox two four via X nine to noon. Got all

(07:36):
hyper in the Vikings locker room yesterday and ran through
some drive buys from Donovan Jackson through TJ Hockinson. If
you missed them earlier, we're going to play them back
next on KFA. Fried Buys had done him in quite
some time. One of the cobwebs and the dust off
the contraption and your hyper announcer after a thirty one

(07:58):
zero blowout victory over the commanders who were crushed, walked
around the Minnesota Vikings locker room in drive by La
like fashion went right over to the Minnesota moving company
as I want to do. Found Donovan Jackson, and he
went against a spry and very energized to Ron Payin.
So I'm like, when you play against a veteran like that,
you're still a rookie man. You had a really good game,

(08:19):
But are there things to learn when you go against
respected guys like that.

Speaker 6 (08:24):
Yeah, you know there's things you see on tape. But
then he's obviously a veteran rusher. He's been in the league
for a long time, so you know there are things
that he'll do that you haven't seen on films, so
you have to learn and adapt from it. And their
whole defense was veteran, so you know there are obviously
savvy vets who you know that can adapt on the fly.
So you know it was for me at least, it
was trying to make the right play, trying to make
the right move and just to this staying to the technique.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
And lastly, that has to be kind of cool growing
up and watching the likes of Bobby Wagner and Von Miller.
I mean, there's a couple of Hall of famers there,
and you got this. She has to play against him.

Speaker 6 (08:53):
Yeah, you know when Voll was at Texas A and
M I live thirty minutes away from there, so I
know I grew up to whom it takes on him
get drafted to the Broncos, and I was like, man, like,
I'm playing against this guy right now, obviously U Wagner.
And when he was on the Seahawks. Man, I remember
I was.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
In like middle school when I was happening.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
So just just seeing that and playing against those guys
and they're still playing at a high level.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Man, it's just kind of cool to see. I'm glad
it worked out this way. After that Saturday night game
of the Big Ten Championship?

Speaker 5 (09:21):
Did did? Did Miles Price give it to you? Pretty good?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (09:24):
I still got it.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
We had a little we had a little something, so
I'd be I had some pent up anger, so I
had to put out on the field.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Man.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
But don't worry.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
The Bucks are gonna be back.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Bucks are gonna be back.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
You're You're fantastic, man. Thank you very much for the chime.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Thank you Kindavan Jackson Brookie left guard for the Minnesota
Vikings part of that thirty one zero victory. More from
the Minnesota Moving company here Will Fries who who stole
the show by the way on Vikings Country earlier in
the week. Uh, and it started all thirteen games and
a thirty one zero victory. Snaps that losing story. How
to work out for you today? You must have had
a good jib.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
It was a lot of fun out there.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
You know.

Speaker 7 (09:59):
When we can the ball like that and we're just
a fishing on offense and like things will start clicking
for us.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
I mean, what else cans for?

Speaker 7 (10:05):
Like putting that preparation all week and it finally starts
to come together on Sunday and like you realize your
potential and there's so much more we can good stuff
we can build off of now going forward.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
So will when the head coach probablicly says during the
course of the week, all right, you know we're gonna
simplify some things and start dealing with all this quarterback
technique and all that stuff in the off season, Like, like,
what's your take on what's simplified today that you know
right now having not watched it back?

Speaker 5 (10:28):
That worked?

Speaker 7 (10:29):
Yeah, I think anytime that you can come off the
ball and play fast and you don't have to think
too much and you know, we're getting the looks that
we're gonna We're practicing all week and you can just
come off the ball, you know, time after time after
time and keep leaning on them as offensive line.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
That's you know, kind of what you dream about.

Speaker 7 (10:43):
Makes a lot of fun and kind of like I
said before, like when you're able to kind of build
off of a team like that, you know can continue
to get more complex and do we need to down
the road?

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Man. Awesome having you on the team. Another dynamite effort today. Congratulations,
Thank you very much as well Fries as the Ryan
as the drive bys. Gen you here from a celebratory
Minnesota Vikings locker room after a thirty one zero victory.
I was going to run over here and chat with
JJ McCarthy with a quick little drive ybe.

Speaker 5 (11:11):
What's going on, buddy?

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Nothing much.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Yeah, that's the fiftieth win today at US Bank Stadium
for the football team, and your first win at home,
your first win in.

Speaker 5 (11:20):
Front of these fans who love you. How great is that?

Speaker 8 (11:22):
It's fantastic, you know, just couldn't wait to get it done.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Obviously. The only thing.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
I remember from a home win that I played was
preseason game, so it's been a while, so it's good
to get it done.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yeah, and you know, I just asked Donovan will Fries
this question about you know O'Connell publicly this week, is like, hey,
you know, there are things that we need to work
on technique wise with JJ. We're gonna put a lot
of that into the off seasons. Go ahead and let
him rip and to simplify some things. And you know,
when you're somebody like me and you hear that, you
don't exactly know what it means. So sharing what you
can share having not watched it back, like what simplified today?

Speaker 5 (11:54):
That really helped you.

Speaker 8 (11:55):
I think just you know, coach o'connelly has such a
beautiful mind in terms of offense of schemes and he
dials up amazing place.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
But you're learning almost.

Speaker 8 (12:03):
A whole new offense with new formations, new concepts going
into each week. On top of one play having two
plays and we just simplified it down, you know, one
play that was multipurpose that had you know, a yes
no answer and the pre snap and then I could.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Carry out through the rest of the reads.

Speaker 8 (12:17):
But yeah, it was fantastic just to simplify things and
everyone played fast and free last one.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Budd quickly three touchdowns to the tight ends. You throw
three for the first time in your emerging NFL career.
Josh catches two for the first time in his career.
TJ got one. Did you come into the game? Is
this a game where you're like, hey, the tight ends
could be live here or was it a process of
the way things develop.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
It's really funny.

Speaker 8 (12:40):
I've talked about, you know, a game like this with
them in the off season all the time, and they're
always like, their words, not mine.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
It's always the games.

Speaker 8 (12:47):
We never think we're going to get the ball that
we show up, So it just as a precedent to
no matter what the expectations are, they always come to work.
They always, you know, strain every single snap and it's
one of the most underrated positions in the sport.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
So I'm happy they got their love.

Speaker 5 (12:59):
And I'm ex extremely happy for you. JJ McCarthy, well.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Done, Thank you so much, brother's.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
JJ McCarthy, quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, got his first
victory at us Bank Stadium, and it was in his
seventh start. As the drive bys along away to drive
bys haven't done these in a little while they're they're underway.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
And it's kind of rolling around the locker room now.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
To see who's available and what we can get accomplished.
After a thirty one zero victory over the Washington Commanders, Hi,
Jonathan Grenard, we're doing great, man, first drive bys in
a month. I mean, you were out for some of them,
but but now you're back, and you guys are back
in the winter circle, and you know it's during the

(13:42):
course and it's a team game.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Man, you know more about it than all of us.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
But during the course of that four game losing streak,
I mean, it's like it's your third down defense that
they were getting first down twenty five percent of the time.
Kat Cashman sitting on like fifteen sixteen tackles every game
you play like fifteen snaps at Seattle, but they were
super meaningful. You took down Darnold thirty eight percent of
the sacks, but you guys didn't win.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
So from a.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Defensive standpoint, not only the shutout today for shutout since
twenty twenty three, but defensively, you have to feel pretty
good about it despite that.

Speaker 5 (14:13):
Losing's rig right.

Speaker 9 (14:14):
No, I define feels good obviously when everything comes right
and comes together. We play off of each other's coming
new ball, take care of the ball offense, and take
the ball away on defense, and limited penalties on special teams.
I feel like that's a good recipe for winning. So
everything just came together. It was a good day and
we're just gonna run with it.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
And I felt really good for you guys, not only
winning the game, but shoot, the time of possession went
the right way. I mean, I mean, you guys were
like twenty seven and change into it like third worst
in the game, and that's just not what this team's
all about.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
So you got a chance to catch your breath.

Speaker 9 (14:41):
Yeah, I mean I feel I was on the sideline
forever for a good bit, which is a good thing
for us, so that we can just get rested up
and obviously just whenever it start, time to go with
fresh got fresh legs and ready to go dominate. So
like I said, man, it was good on all phases.
It's coming new ball all the way around, and that's
why you get the best result today.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Congratulations on the victory, and we'll hear you on the
Power Trip Tuesday.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
I love having you on.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
You're fantastic on the show, and ask Meetzaus about what
his final score prediction was this week. It was ridiculous
this week. It just I think it was like like
one hundred to four. It was something stupid. Yeah, so
get him.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Up that it's pretty normal. I mean, I'm not surprised.

Speaker 9 (15:20):
I'm not surprised, not at this pointment. When you throw
one crazy take out there, you're kind of capable of
a lot of crazy takes.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
So uh, we'll hear about it on Tuesday. For sure.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
That it is great having you, great seeing you smile
like this, and everybody in this locker room.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
So happy, Thank you, Thank you all. Mascal.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
That's Jonathan Grenard, edge guy for the Minnesota Vikings. As
the drive bys continue here in a victorious Minnesota Vikings
locker room, where uh let's go and I got to
go over here for one second just uh hey, Harry, quick,
just quick. A little drive by that that was interception
number thirty eight put you in a fourth all time

(15:54):
in Vikings history, passing Joey Browner. Uh, Mariota kind of
made it easy for you, but you're still closed on it.
And overall, man, that defensive effort today was fantastic. But
like I just shared with Jonathan Bernard. I mean, it's
a team game.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
But during that four game losing strick defense was playing
pretty pretty well. Good to see that time of possession
go the right way today, Old people like me man
got a chance to catch the breath.

Speaker 10 (16:18):
Yeah, that's that's one of those things you look back on.
Time of possession, turnovers tend to tend to point to
the outcome of every game.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
So things things went our way today.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Yeah, plus three, you know, plus three.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
I mean that that mine is fifteen obviously is a
ridiculous Glad you worked on that today. But you know,
to end this because I got people waiting for you,
and you know, people got things to do on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (16:41):
This was goodball. This was good ball. That's a good
way to put it, right.

Speaker 10 (16:45):
Absolutely, it was. It was you know, it's what you
talk about. It was complimentary football. I think I think
the pivotal point was us getting that fourth down stop
early at the goal line in our offense going all
the way down and scoring. I kind of established what
the game was going to be.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
See you next week. Thanks, but thanks be Harry the
hit Man.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
He's football in Biking's immortality and I had had an
interception today as first of the season. That was a
thirty eight in the career of Harrison Smith, which once
again put him past Joey Browner for fourth all time,
and in fact, if Harrison can get a sack over
the course of the final four games, then he'll joined

(17:27):
Ronde Barber is the only two players in a National
Football League history with at least thirty eight interceptions in
twenty one and a half sacked Jonathan I'm doing these
drive bys real quick. I've done him in a month.
Man missed him badly. Eight with Washington. You know, of
course you're going to want to beat him today, fus
you played with your hair on fire, quite honestly. But nevertheless,

(17:48):
you know, Washington, whether it's Redskins, WFT, WTF, whatever it was, Commanders,
that place will always hold a special part, special place
in your heart, right, Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
I mean I went to high school in there. You
have spent eight years of my career.

Speaker 11 (18:00):
You're there, So I love those guys over there, but
you know, as always, it's always good to beat them.
And right now I'm just so excited to be a
Minnesota Vikings. So definitely an old chapter of my life.
But I still have so much love for those guys
over there.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
John, you're trying to get out of your last one.
I don't know if you've seen a back or not,
but I know you'll watch it probably today or tomorrow.
Jaybond on the force fumble and the fumble of recovery
by the sideline, And that's a very hard play. I'm
not gonna say hard play for big people. I'm just
gonna say that's a hard play. So he needed that, man,
that was very good for him. One of my favorite
players since he came into the league. And you know,

(18:33):
likewise for you and you know just the way they
orchestrate defense here. For somebody on the outside like me,
I'm just kind of like, hey, you knows tackle, defensive tackle,
the splitzing and everything.

Speaker 5 (18:42):
But it's good to see you guys play as well
as you played today.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
And man, thank you. I really appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Dallas, next game, good luck, thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
I appreciate you. Excited. That's Jonathan Allen.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Eight years with the Washington football program, first year with
the Minnesota Vikings, and he really really had himself a
good game today, all right, just one of the dry buys.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Man.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
It's nice to have these dry buys. Bier Murphy Jr.
I mean, Biro Murphy Jr. You know, if I'm doing
dry buys, which it feels like I haven't done in
a year, you know, I'm gonna find you and it's
your one hundredth game. So you and I, you and
I chat more so off the microphone than we do
about God's blessings of choosing. You get to do exactly

(19:24):
what you want to do for a career, as long
as you have put the money to the side, with
the interceptions, everything to the side. One hundred games, man,
that's quite the accomplishment.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Well done.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
How do you feel.

Speaker 12 (19:36):
I'm glad you told me that because that definitely feels good. Obviously,
you know, reaching this goal obviously being in the league,
you know obviously you know some people say two to
three years just to get to this point. I'm thankful
every single day. Thankful for the guys around me. I
always say in this locker room, you know, we just
you know, we've been through some stuff this year, but
obviously you know, we got each other's backs.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
That's a that's a wonderful thing to be around.

Speaker 12 (19:55):
And obviously my family shot on my phone, I always
just stuck to my size, supporting all those types of things.
So I'm just thankful to keep playing this game that
I love.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
And you're a very physical player, specifically in the tackling game,
And tell me what you think of this take that
I had into the game. It's like, hey, you know
when you're four and eight and the other team's three
and nine, these can become human nature games, you know,
where you just got to watch make sure everybody's on
point for every single play because it's a violent game.
The reason I bring it up is when I started

(20:22):
watching The Commanders this week, I was like, Terry McLaurin, Deebo, Samuel,
the way Jeremy Tunsel's playing this year and Jeremy McNichols,
I mean I've watched a lot of him. Is that's
a bruising, pounding, super physical team.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Did you know that coming into it? And like, how
do you handle that?

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (20:39):
Definitely, we know this was a team who also catches
the ball against yours after a bunch of yet guys,
you know, once you're just trying to get the playmakers
of ball obviously go make plays. So we knew that
about Deebo obviously going in we knew he was gonna
be a screen guy and all those type of things.
But everybody else we knew they were going to run
hard and just play physical. So we just got to
go out there and master physicality and then obviously, you know,
go make those tackles.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Hey, man, it's great to see you smile, and I
know you're smiling because you're a team first guy. Man,
you guys won thirty one zero. It's hard shutting now
teams in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
It definitely is.

Speaker 12 (21:07):
But you know, we got to do something that happened
to us, So we got to come out here and
then everybody will worry about But I just I'm just
thankful we got the Winns today. Obviously it was a
team a team game today and we both sides of day,
all three phases did theirs to job today.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
Now.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Now, I mean, whether it's a tip pass, block shot
as O'Connor will call it, route, John, somebody throws at you,
I don't care what it is. I know how badly
you want an interception, and I'm just gonna just lay
it out for you. Man. Into the game. You know
you've gone sixteen consecutive without one. I think your longest
shrink was nineteen consecutive back when you were a Arizona
So you've looked at that, I can tell. And but
but that's the wonderment of how you play and what

(21:40):
Flores preaches, where yes, you want it desperately, but you're
not going to compromise other teammates trying to do something
dumb to get it right exactly.

Speaker 12 (21:48):
And as you know, you just got to think about
how teams are coming in and playing. The guys are
coming in, you know, trying to you know, run the ball,
get quick stuff, not take shots down in the field,
all those types of things, you know, but you know,
opportunity to still there. We've still got games left and
I'm still trying to go get multiple So I'm gonna still.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Go get that ball somehow. But we're gonna figure it out.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
One hundred games for Byron and one big win today.
Congratulates yes, sir, thank you. Bira Murphy Junior. That's my
main man right there. He's absolutely fantastic. And uh, let's uh,
let's wrap up the uh. The drive by is rolling
over here, TJ Quick drive by. It feels like I'm
done in about five years. But first and foremost thanks
for the wonderful chat at Toys for Tots at Ayton

(22:24):
Prairie Shiels and the crowd is so engaged with you man,
and just just your giving and putting others first.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
Thank you very much for that.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
No, I appreciate it.

Speaker 13 (22:33):
I appreciate you guys having me in such a great
event to be able to do that every year and
then be able to share with the kids in the affairs.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
So okay, So now from the giving nature of t
J Hawkins and he had a touchdown today to the
punishing nature of TJ Howkinson. You took on two with
the goal line, one of them laid there for thirty
seconds after you were done, I mean, four game losing streak.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
It's kind of like.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
You took it all out right there, trying to pound
to get into the end zone.

Speaker 13 (22:59):
Yeah, no, you know, it's a it was I knew
it was gonna be a bang bang play and I'm
not sure if I was in on the first one
or not, but uh made sure to define it. So
you know, it was such a great team win, a
lot of complimentary football, and it's it's just great to
be on in this locker room on the side of
the ball and I love I love all these guys,

(23:19):
and you know, there's a lot of a lot of
excitement in this room and and it's deserved.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
So last one, how about Josh Oliver. You're tight in rooms, mate,
first a two touchdown game of his career. Good for
Josh Man, that's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Oh, it's so much fun. I love seeing it. Love.
You know, Josh is one of.

Speaker 13 (23:36):
Those guys that does a lot of the dirty work
and for him to be able to to get up
and be able to, you know, score a couple of
times is a lot of fun to watch and be
able to celebrate the end zone with him on the
first one was it was fun too. So you know,
we'll we'll we'll hopefully enjoy some more of those and
keep this thing moving.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
And you get used to these two hour and forty
minute games. Dang right, Thank you, Jet, appreciate you.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
The Sultan and your face Milwaukee his neck and lockutit
guait until the moth tight in what side of the eye?
Him jacobs up the middle, burs he yes, touch down,
shut up, chickens, good lucky he died.

Speaker 6 (24:21):
Hello packers Ley twenty seven to twenty one.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Conelico Order Battle, David Sennecim the Sultan of smug at
TC head Cheese is where you can follow him v
X big time wins, any big big win. Congratulations. How
how do you think Wobble is handling it all right now?

Speaker 14 (24:44):
I hope he's still just among us. He was very
chirpy leading up to the game. I haven't heard of
Peep six, so maybe a welfare check for Lobble might
be a play.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Very fair.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
Did you happen to notice young Caleb miss Cole Comet
for that big touchdown at the end.

Speaker 14 (25:00):
Yeah, he just threw it a bit late, a bit short.
He did have DJ Moore across the middle there too,
if you had seen him. But yeah, you know, Caleb
was outstanding in the fourth quarter. Man, That dude is
very hard to bring down and he's good on the run.
He brought them to the precipice. I got to give
him his props after a terrible first half. But good
to see the Packers defense stand tall to make the

(25:21):
big play at the end.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
Salton, what do you think of Ben Johnson's approach to offense?

Speaker 14 (25:27):
Well, I mean he says he's a genius. I'm gonna
believe him. I think he gets a little too cute sometimes.
I think he got a little too cute on that
final play. I thought, you just run the ball at
that point. That's what you do, That's what your offensive
line is paid to do, with all those veteran stars
you brought in. So I think he tries to show
everybody how smart he is. There's no denying he's a

(25:48):
great play caller, and I think he's got a lot
of really nice tools in Chicago that are going to
grow with him. But I'm not quite sure they're ready
for prime time just yet.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
After the bad pick, early Love was in charge big time.
The pass and the play called a Melton oh Ly cow.
That was the thing of beauty.

Speaker 14 (26:06):
Yeah, you know, the interception was a real head scratcher.
He hasn't thrown a ball like that in about eight
or nine weeks. But you know, he ends up with
a perfect passer rating against the blitz in this game,
nine for twelve for a bucks seventy and three touchdowns.
He just can't blitz him, and he gets time because
the offensive line is really good at pass protection. So
it does put defenses in a bit of a pickle.
It was the first time Green Bay had had its

(26:28):
top five preferred wide receivers healthy in a game, although
two of them Wix and Golden, only played a handful
of snaps. They're not healthy. But he's got Christian Watson back,
pa and eleven months ago he tore his ACL on
that field against that opponent. And what he's done over
this last more game win streak three against the division
FOS has really lifted up this offense. Along with Love,

(26:50):
having Watson back in prime form changes everything for this offense.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Watson looks good and has pop. Now how much does
it help your cause having slot Machine and Jaden Reid back,
Oh man, I.

Speaker 14 (27:03):
Mean leading receiver the last two years, and they put
him right into action early on. He had two catches
in a end a round run in the first series.
I mean they instantly wanted to show what he can
bring to the offense. And you know, when Tucker Kraft
went down, that really put a void over dangerous weapons
across the middle for this offense until he came back.
So again, didn't play a ton of snaps to get

(27:24):
four targets a couple of catches, but I think the
sky's will limit now that he's back He definitely brings
some juice this offense does not have without.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Him border battle any from a hypercritical standpoint over Archer excellent.
Having this many wins definitely a chance of the one
seed in the NFC. But if you're going to fine
tune things and get into some of the details in
the minutia second half defense probably needs a little work.

Speaker 14 (27:53):
Yeah, I mean, they hold Chicago to seventy one yards
in the first half and then I think it was
one hundred and fifty in the second. They were on
the field for twenty minutes in that second half. Couple
of long drives. They were worn out. Man, you try
to chase Caleb Williams play after play. Those guys were
for gas. So I'm a little concerned about the run defense.
They didn't give up any run longer than nine yards
against that rushing attack. That's encouraging. They've brought in two

(28:16):
nose tackles during the week, one off a practice squad,
one off waivers that have played in the NFL just
a bit, so you know that they're looking at the
schedule ahead with Denver, Chicago, Baltimore. You guys teams that
want to run the football and in the playoffs. You know,
whether it's the Rams, the Eagles, the forty nine ers,
they're going to have to have some beef in the middle.
So I'm gonna be watching over these last four weeks

(28:37):
how they attack with these new guys stopping the run,
because that seems like the one way you can kind
of attack Halflee's defense with a really good back.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
Well, i mean, let's go back a couple of games,
and I'm glad you said that. Your squad wins at
Ford Field, you beat Ben and and Donnie Brook, You're
at Denver Sunday, then off to Soldier Field. I mean
that's a gauntlet right there.

Speaker 14 (28:58):
Yeah, I mean you were making front of our schedule
early on. I'm saying, dude, it's just meatil Thanksgiving, because
everything changes now. You know, three out of the final
four on the road. You got to go play a
team on a ten game winning streak at their place
on Sunday and then deal with the Bears. It's tough
to be the team twice in thirteen days. You know,
it's going to be a challenge. So I'm going to
learn a lot about these team over the next two weeks.

(29:18):
But even Baltimore might be playing for their playoff lives
in week seventeen, and you guys, you know, may not
have a lot on the line, but obviously you have
a chance to wreck any postseason positioning potentially. So no
layoffs the final four weeks for my squad.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
When lastly, when I think of that football school Indiana
in Bloomington, you're Hoosiers. When I think of the Hoosiers,
I think of Zach Royce with the Vikings social media
team and Vikings Entertainment network.

Speaker 5 (29:44):
He's from the area. I think of you, and I
think are Courtney Cronin.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
So when the Hoosiers win the Big Ten and they
beat Ohio State in that fantastic game, how great is
that for you?

Speaker 14 (29:56):
Pa? It's so surreal. I got two kids in the
Diana right now. Remember when I set them off to school.
My biggest hope was got I hope the basketball team
can rise up so you can see what it's like
to be at Indiana when they play basketball. That hasn't happened,
But never in my wildest dreams that I think they'd
see an Indiana team number one in the country heading
into the playoffs Big Ten champs. It's such just a

(30:17):
real thing and they had such a blast in that
city on Saturday night. I'm so happy they had to
experience that. I don't really care what happens the rest
of the mona. That was just an indelible, unforgettable moment
on Saturday night.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
You're the best, my brother.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
Congratulations on your squad's victory and we'll talk soon.
