Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hewitt donn'd know football.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
That's a great set up, Bob.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Time for two more.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Parsonal foul whipping that.
Speaker 4 (00:29):
That's the Viking.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
You lucky suckers.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
You want to change the conversation. Win some games? Oh
my god.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
You think it's funny. Oh yeah, he we go.
Speaker 5 (00:58):
It's nine o'clock, it's nine to noon. Good morning, or
to produces. And I'm Paul Allen. That Minnesota Vikings win
yesterday was the grindiest of all grinders ever to grind
paly cow. There were eight targets to Jefferson, seven first
downs on third down felt like six drops for Nailer,
(01:18):
and five sacks on Jackson Dart. You think the old
Miss rookie Jackson Dart is excited to see Brian Florez again. Hey,
that two and a half yards per attempt by the
rebel that was a rebel without a cause. That must
have him wishing Mississippi College chalk tow chalk tos were
(01:40):
three two. You think the old Miss rookie Jackson Dart
is excited to see Brian Florez again. That two and
a half yards per attempt by the rebel without a
cause must have him wishing Mississippi College chalk tos were
next on the schedule. Jackson Dart good times, bad times
for QB one. There's this McCarthy's out of the shotgun,
(02:03):
Jordan Addison in motion to the left. McCarthy back to pass,
big rush by the Giants. JJ gets out of it,
runs right fifteen, ten to five to the end zone.
Touchdown please. JJ McCarthy with his fourth a rushing touchdown
that came from twelve yards out and Minnesota leeds twelve three.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
And then there's.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
This as Ben Leeber on the sideline mentioned only touchdown
in the game. JJ McCarthy is fourth and rushing touchdown
and he goes back to paclicou w.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
He's buried by Brian Burns.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
And it's picked up by a Giant for a defensive touchdown.
Tyler Newban the former Gopher scores against the Minnesota Vikings
on a Brian Burns sack and it's thirteen to nine Vikings.
Brian Burns, Holy cow sky, you blah with all that
(02:59):
TC Radio studio tomorrow for nine to noon, and we
will see what can be unveiled involving Fingergate twenty twenty
five for JJ McCarthy, because we whipped back into action
Christmas Day three thirty Kfan Motor City Kiddies. Yes, sir, yes, sir.
(03:21):
Number seven finally got a pick.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Cart Shotgun ros A pass to the.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Left intercepted up the fingertips of tight end po Johnson
Byron Murphy Junior finally got an interception. He had gone
eighteen consecutive games without one. But he just picked off
Jackson Dart on a deflection and the Vikings.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Have turned over the New York Giants.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
It'll be first down from the fifteen yard line. Firing
Murphy Junior finally got that pick. Now, yes, sir, yes, sir, Now,
this guy is my defensive MVP for the Minnesota Vikings,
and don't at me. Jackson takes the snap, he gets
away from the pressure, but then Jillen Rudman sacks him
(04:07):
at the fifteen yard line. Klen Redman has six sacks
this year cam the Minnesota Vikings turn over the New
York Giants on downs.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Six sacks Wow.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
Six sacks for Redmond, five sex on Jackson dodge. Jalen
Redmon also has eleven tackles for loss and a batted
ball in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
That was huge. What a wonderful player.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
He's part of the drive bys, the celebratory locker room
drive bys coming up soon, so also part of the
drive buys. Fill in quarterback Max Rosemer. That was the
sky you mom, Tyler Newman was the sky you blah,
Max Brozmer, sky you mom. He connected with Justin Jefferson
in the fourth quarter for a first down on third
(04:55):
and seventeen, And it's absolutely the most coal blooded connection
of young Maxwell's rookie campaign.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
And at a third and seventeen he'll throw.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Left to Jefferson, caught it for forty six and yes,
that's a cold blood of connection. Right, Hash left sideline
twenty two yards Brosmer to Justin Jefferson and a first down.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
All right, Max, sky you mom, my brother.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
And when you need to get the ball back to
close out those ls and close out a game, it's
as easy as one, two three when you count on
AVG giants one of two on fourth down, this is
fourth and three, dark shotgun two receivers left and right.
Minnesota leads sixteen thirteen. Harrison Smith cheats to the line
(05:45):
of scrimmage. Now we backs off Dart on fourth down
back to pass.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Fact by Andrew.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Kick gold.
Speaker 5 (05:56):
And the Vikings have turned over the New York Giants
on downs three in a row, four KO three in
a row, four KO three in a row, four B
flow three in a row, four B flow three in
a row, four B flow.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
I got to hit this for a second. Here gets
on fire, all right, it's enough of that love seeing
AVG get to the QB yesterday.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
Five minutes in, five and a half minutes into the show.
How much have we ignited the six four six eight six?
Holy cal you guys are acting like this is the
twelve thirteen win operation.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
You're dropping in the gink is.
Speaker 5 (06:40):
On fire and ABG and five sacks on Jackson Dart.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
I mean we got season as a failure, kid. QB
should have had three turnovers, big six should have counted. Yes,
we have ignited the six four six eight six. Then
that we know on a holiday the rooms are with
us good times and in bad all that.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
It amen, Happy Monday, Christmas is Thursday. Six in a row,
not allowing the passing touchdown. I mean that's six in
a row for B flows. That's six in a row
for B flow. That's good work right there, boys. Uh,
that's an a for effort on a day. Wearing the
C meant a lot for Duluth.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
CJ.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Ham.
Speaker 5 (07:25):
That's where we start the post game hyperactivity laden locker
room drive bys.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
The Minnesotan truly was touched by the honor of being
a captain.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Oh yeah, it's truly a blessing.
Speaker 6 (07:37):
I mean, being a captain for the previous four years
and obviously the uh injuries and everything enduring at the
beginning of the season, it.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Meant a lot.
Speaker 6 (07:44):
It's meant a lot, and Uh, I'm just blessed to
be on this team, blessed to be with these guys
and have the opportunity to, you know, be.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
One of the be one of the leaders. CJ.
Speaker 5 (07:53):
How about the squad, I mean, non playoff y're not preferred,
But after that Seattle game when you guys got shut
out and then now you've rattled off three in a
row into the Lions game on Christmas Day, the resolve
and the galvanizing nature of you guys sticking together that
I mean. There are a lot of blowouts with teams
that aren't going to the playoffs we see weekly in
the NFL.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
That's not the case with the Vikings. What do you
think of that.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
Yeah, I mean at the end of the day, we
still have something to play for. I mean, like you said,
it's been a up and down year. We're not making
the postseason. But man, there's so much, there's so much
to play for for this team, for this culture. Every
everybody in here wants to wants to be a great
player and wants to do great things. So and that's
that's because of the culture that uh, you know, Ko
has built And no matter what, if you step on
that field, we're trying to win.
Speaker 5 (08:37):
Lastly, my man McCarthy leaves at the end of the
first half on that big burn tip, Brozemer comes in,
finishes it out, and you guys win. When when when
something like that happens during the course of a game,
and you know, the number two quarterback, who I would
imagine is not taking a lot of snaps with the
ones during the course of the week, Like, like, how
does that adjustment works?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Mean, it's all because of Max.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Max is a pro.
Speaker 6 (08:59):
He he's one of the smart one of the smartest
guys on the team, to be honest with you, and
he knows exactly what to do and how to do it.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
And I'm just so I'm so glad.
Speaker 6 (09:08):
I'm so glad he got the opportunity and made the
most of the opportunity today to get us to get us.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
My man, Merry Christmas to you. I know I'll see
you on Christmas Day. But God bless you and your family.
And it's always a great a winning and be getting
a chance to do a drive by with you. Thank you,
I appreciate you, Mam.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
A CJ.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
Hamm fall back for the Minnesota Vikings victorious today for
a third consecutive time they were able to beat the
New York Giants. Michael, my, ma'am. What's going on? Michael Jerkins?
Nice to chat with you in this dride by. Sadly
Ryan goes down, but you come in and how did
(09:44):
it work out? How you think things went for you?
We got to win, so you know you're happy with that.
Like any game, it's going to be good and it's
gonna be bad.
Speaker 7 (09:51):
You got to acknowledge the good and acknowledge the bad
and correct it and get right for next week.
Speaker 8 (09:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:55):
The Minnesota Moving Company had justin school, starting his seventh
game at left tackle and seemed to play well again
after that Cowboys game where he just went lights out,
and I know Burns had a couple of sacks and
Abdual Carter, you know, he wreaked a little havoc during
the game. But I mean those guys get to do
good things too. Burns and Carter are good and you
guys held up pretty well today. The cohesiveness of the
(10:16):
moving company seems to be improving as the season moves on,
for sure.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
I definitely think so.
Speaker 7 (10:20):
You know, we've had a lot of moving parts this
year and coach, Coach Cooper and Wes and Keith o assisting,
they've all done a great job, you know, preparedness, getting
us ready for every game, and we're all getting reps
in practice, and you know, I think we have a
really tight group, and I think that means something at
this point in the year. We spent a lot of
time together yesterday and yeah, you know, we always say
like it's the NFL. They get paid too, They're gonna
(10:42):
make plays. They get paid to make plays. Yeah, I'm
proud of how we did.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Stu.
Speaker 5 (10:45):
I appreciate you man, great job, and Merry Christmas to you.
Best of luck against the Lions. All right, thank you
Mary Christmas do I appreciate you that's Michael Jergins had
to fill in for Ryan Kelly, who had to leave
the game in the first half, and that obviously was
an unforse in a situation, but Michael came in nicely.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Justin what's going on?
Speaker 5 (11:03):
My man seventh start at left tackle lights out in
the Cowboys game represented very well. Again today, I'm gonna
start here because you played at Tampa Bay and like
I don't follow their penalty counts or anythings in games.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
I mean, it was twenty two excepted today. Holy cow.
You ever been part of anything like that with all
those flags?
Speaker 9 (11:22):
No?
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I haven't.
Speaker 10 (11:22):
Yeah, there seem to be a lot, but not much
we can do about it, you know what I mean,
Just try and clean up our technique and keep moving forward.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
When you go against say Abdul Carter and Burns and
the scheme that they offer a week after you know
the Dallas Cowboys where really, with all due respect, they
don't offer on the edge with the Giants offer on
the edge. What's the approach into the game when you
watch those guys on film, I.
Speaker 10 (11:45):
Think the approach is really just trying to say true
to your technique and trying to play your game they're
obviously really talented rushers, and so if you make a mistake,
you know they're going to capitalize on it. And so
just being disciplined enough to say true to your technique,
snap in and snap out for sixty minutes last thrive.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
By with Justin School left tackle for the Vikings. Brozemer
comes into the second half. All right, he's not taking
a snaps with the ones during the course of the week.
It's not like he doesn't know what's happening. But that's
a big, big move. How was the huddle? How did
he handle everything?
Speaker 3 (12:13):
He handled it phenomenally.
Speaker 10 (12:14):
And that's how Max has been since he's gotten here,
is he's early taken command of the huddle.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Whenever he stepped in.
Speaker 10 (12:18):
It's been impressed as a rookie to see him step
in command the huddle, know what he's supposed to be doing.
And so nothing changed today. We had all the confidence
in the world. And as you can see, that's why
we had all the confidence.
Speaker 5 (12:27):
Yeah, and we're recording this before the Lions are playing
the Steelers, So under the assumption Aiden Hutchinson plays just
another day at the office. Right, You got Burns with
fifteen sacks, one week, you go right into Aiden Hutchinson
the next week.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Holy yah.
Speaker 10 (12:41):
Yeah, he's also a heck of a rusher, so we're
gonna have to have a good game plan for him
and bring our best game.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
A great job, my man. I appreciate Thank you. I
appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (12:50):
Justin school the left tackle for the Minnesota Vikings with
Christian Darisaw being put on injured reserve for a remainder
of the season, and Justin came up big against us
some really good pass rushers, with the Vikings winning sixteen thirteen.
Max Brosmer, My man, Well, when when you jumped on
(13:10):
the bus today? Okay, Spearfish, Sam Newton, Nash, you the
same question every week if you happen to get into
the game, do you have a favorite play? You always
have something today and involved Nailer. What was the pass
to the right sideline to nail Or when he got
twisted up? Was that that favorite play?
Speaker 11 (13:28):
The one that I were threw to the right. Yeah,
it was a good one. I thought it was a
great call. Actually, you know, I thought that the defense
was gonna do something different to me that play, and
I ended up looking over there too long and ultimately
made a throw that was pushing to the sideline away
from a safety in a post safety, so it could
have done a bad job on my end holding safety
and understand that I can, you know, use my eyes
to dictate the flow over the defense going. But Jalen
(13:50):
ran to go to rout and could have a bat
job putting ball on him.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Max.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
How about the guy to your left, Justin Jefferson, I
mean the the I know you had a twenty nine
yard hit in that Seattle game. That's still your NFL
long bro that passed right hash to the left side
line to Justin to catch Justin made I mean that
that has to be as your career goes, as it
continues to develop, that has to be like one of
the highlights.
Speaker 11 (14:12):
Right I think so. I mean I thought, again, come
back to the call, just understanding what we were gonna
get on you know, a third and extra long. I
thought that when he called the playoff, I was like
thinking of the exact same thing in the model, and
you know, Justin ran a great route protection wise on
third and long. We couldn't have protected better. I mean
I didn't get touched and making that throw. It's a
lot easier when the old line's doing their job up front,
(14:34):
you know, getting a great protection. We see you on
the right side there and we get a you know,
a lick by the tight end of the left and
it just kind of all came together and just when
a great route had a great catch at the end.
You know that Josh had been talking about that balls
either from out of bounds or complete on the sideline,
and Justin made it right, which is really cool and
being they gotta throw that ball to him is really cool.
Feeling feeling too.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
Last one bud for Max bros Brozemer with a drive by.
Kind of a rough day for some Gophers today. Nuban
gets knocked out of the game, but then he comes back.
But Nuba also had the have the only touchdown for
the Giants John Michael Schmidt's he goes down you you
are part of your very first victory. When when when
it comes to what you do during the course of
(15:14):
a week as as the backup quarterback and then you
come in and play, like like how does that work?
I mean, how much work with the ones do you
get during the course of the week, And like how
can you come in and be so secure when you're
coming in.
Speaker 11 (15:26):
Call yeah, you don't. You don't get any work, to
be honest, as the backup. Sometimes you might get one
or two routes, you know, if you know JJ needs
a break, and that's kind of your job as a
backup is like if he needs if he's good on
the route and he needs we need a route to
be run, I'll be you gotta throw it. But you
know everything is mental. It's it's behind behind the ones,
watching them, watching them take the reps and try to
(15:47):
put yourself in that in that space and having great
guys around you too, help your pair is what's important
to Josh and j T and John Wolford. I mean,
the it's a truly a room. It's not just a
one man show.
Speaker 6 (15:58):
You know.
Speaker 11 (15:58):
Throughout the week it's the Prepper with the other quarterbacks
and the coaches. And then on the field it's the
same thing. It's like, you know, we saw this, this
and this. They're changing up this look. They're giving us
more of this look than we saw in film. And
it'sconsin communication and I felt, you know, with the structure
of that system, it's it makes it easier to go
in and play, not easy, but easier than it would
be so we got a great, you know, structure around us.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
That was a beautiful explanation.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
It also includes center Michael Jergens who had to come
in and play and school starting to left tackle for
a second consecutive game.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
It takes a village man. Congratulations, Yeah, thanks man.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
That's a Max Brosmore quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. A
quick little drive by here with the game changer Jarvis Landry.
Are familiar with them, right of course, a pretty good
wide receiver for many, many years. Now, Randy Moss Hall
of Famer, you're quite familiar.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
With him, right of course. All right, well, Randy's next.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
We got Jarvis today with justin securing the most receptions
by anybody in the history of the NFL through their
first six seasons.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
It's a non playoff. Yere Man. I know that bugs you,
and I know there have.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
Been some things that have eaten at you during the
course the year because you're a high end game changer.
But today had to be one of the most different
games you've ever been involved in. I'm talking high school LSU.
The whole thing with all the penalties. Uh, you got
offensive lineman, lineman getting replaced court new quarterback in the
second half.
Speaker 12 (17:14):
What you think, Yeah, it's definitely one of those you know,
difficult games just to you know, embrace all of the
different stuff that's going on. But I'm just proud of
the guys just from uh staying in in intact and
you know, of course keeping their head up and continue
going forward. So definitely shout out to Max from finishing
(17:36):
the game uh in the second half and leading us
to this victory. And then of course defensive defensively, they
always been doing good making plays and you know, putting
us in great positions to go score to you know,
change the game. So it was a great team.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
Effort justin you know, it's with these records that you
break every single year or you set them. I mean,
that's football immortality. It's not arrogant to be proud of
those records. Man, you work really, really hard. You've had
some non playoff years, You've had some playoff years, but
I mean, to have the most receptions and eventually the
most yards, you know, assuming you pass MOS's next game,
(18:11):
how do you feel about all that?
Speaker 12 (18:13):
It's so you know surreal, you know, just to really
think about the work that I put in and just
from being you know, doubted and not really being looked
at the same as other top receivers. I felt like
I was in the same boat with Uh. So it's
just an honor, a blessing to be in this situation,
to have the the yards, have the catches. Uh, you know,
(18:36):
just to be the person that I am today. Uh,
it's very very I'm very grateful for that, grateful for
the life that I get to live every single day.
So uh, it's it's definitely a blessing.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
I'll preach. That was fantastic.
Speaker 5 (18:48):
Lastly, I'm just gonna give you just I don't want
to say advice, but just something to start thinking about
now with a Christmas Day game Lions trash talkers, I mean,
you've gone back and forth with the Meek Robertson and
a bunch of the people in the secondary for the Lions,
so you got to kind of get your mind right
for that now, right.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Oh yeah, it's a quick turn around, a quick week.
Speaker 12 (19:06):
You know, play Thursday, so you know really just of
course focused on this win for for twenty four hours
and then you know, once that hit and then it's
onto something new and something better, which we play in
front of our home fans.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
On Christmas Day.
Speaker 12 (19:22):
That's a blessing that you know in disguise. So it's
just an honor to be back on this field, to
be healthy after this game, for us to go back
into the week on Thursday, quick turn around to you know,
get a good win.
Speaker 5 (19:37):
Merry Christmas, Man, you're fantastic. Congratulations on cracking that receptions
record today. God bless you and your family and can't
wait to call the next one, sir, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas.
Justin Jefferson, you got to justin thank you very much.
The vikings A b. O'Neil Brian O'Neil man. I mean,
you know, not that it matters to you or anything.
You're a tough guy. And you know, when I see
(19:58):
players out there before the game two two and a
half hours for the game, it's a fifty to fifty
at best, and you know, I don't know, I don't
know what you're playing through. I don't know how badly
it hurts. It's not my business, but it was sketchy
as to whether you were going to play today. It's
important to you, I can tell, and always has been,
to push through injuries and be that guy that's there
for the rest of the team, isn't it.
Speaker 8 (20:19):
Hell yeah, if you can play, you play. You know,
there's there's a reason why this is so special. There's
a reason why so many people want to do this.
This is the reason why it's the best job in
the world. There's a reason why so many people miss it.
If you got a chance to play in the NFL,
you do it. And so if there's a chance, I'm gonna.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Be out there.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Lastly, Jurgens has to fill in for Kelly. Feel bad
for Ryan Kelly. You know, daris O's done for the
rest of the year. School starts a second consecutive seventh
to seventh here for the Vikings.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
How about those guys man jumping in there? Oh yeah,
you know.
Speaker 8 (20:51):
It took everybody, and it's taking everybody this year, you know,
And kudos to those guys stepping in and being able
to communicate well on the road. I thought Jergons did
a really good job at the line of scrimmage. Coupled
with having to do two different quarterbacks, you know, the
communication between JJ Ryan JJ Jerks, Max Jerks. The whole
(21:12):
thing was very seamless from us standpoint. So credit to
the coaches, credit to those guys for staying ready and
realizing that you know, over the course of the NFL season,
you know, when your numbers called, you gotta be ready
to go.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
One of my favorites, man, just seriously, I mean that
Merry Christmas ce on Thursday, Marry Christmas.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Can't wait, guys.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
Ryan O'Neil right tackle for the Minnesota Vikings. Victorious by
three points today over the New York Giants, who have
lost nine consecutive games. And the Vikings next get the
Detroit Lions on Christmas Day, that one that begins about
three thirty. I'm gonna roll over here with Eric Wilson,
(21:49):
real quick, quick drive by. You're having a really good
arm day today? Is this different than like any other day?
Speaker 3 (21:55):
You know, ARM day gets juiced up after I win,
for sure.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
So for the boys, let me ask you this, whether
it's well, it's not here because I've called all your
games here, Green Bay, Cincinnati, wherever you played high school
football in Michigan. Have you ever been part of a
game with twenty two accepted penalties like today? It was
twenty two total men And I'll tell you this, it
just didn't stop.
Speaker 9 (22:19):
You know what I mean, Well, honestly, we knew that
they were like the most they threw the most flags
to this point. But at a certain point it gets
a little ridiculous. It is what it is.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
You got to play on.
Speaker 9 (22:31):
Can't let it get to you and just go out
there turn that rage into physicality and violence.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
So you're from Redford, Michigan, Is that what it is?
Speaker 6 (22:39):
Yep?
Speaker 3 (22:40):
Okay, cool.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
Now you went back and beat the Lions with your
family and friends there and everything. Now they come to
town on Christmas Day? Is it another division team? So
of course that matters beating division teams. But like, when
you get a chance to beat the Lions, does that
feel a little extra special because you're from Michigan.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Yeah, I honestly, I wouldn't say so. I wouldn't say so.
Speaker 9 (23:01):
I think me being in the league and you know,
in this division for as long as I have, it's
a little you know, division game gets a little chippy.
It's like, you know, they're like rivalry games. You play
each other so much. It's like, you know these guys,
you played against them. So it's a matter of going
out there and put it all together. Man, We're we're
doing some good stuff. It's a matter of being consistent
(23:22):
six and a half sackspy Man. Congratulations on the victory.
Thanks man, appreciate that.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
Eric Wilson one of the best defensive players on the
Minnesota Vikings and he came through today before Jaalen Redmond.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
Lee's got to do a drive by with them.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
The sack for number six, fantastic, the right the block shot,
as Kevin O'Connell would call it, the pass defense near
the end of the game.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
I mean, that was big, man.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
And you know a lot of teams we're getting those
block shots against the Vikings for a while, and you know,
you could tell it was an emphasis here with Marcus Dixon,
your d line coach and Floras and everything to.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
Start deflecting some passes at the line. And you've really
come through with that. That's stuff's important, man, Right.
Speaker 13 (23:59):
Yeah, it's just uh, it's really is drilled every day.
So it's drilled on the daily, and it's just ingrained
in me. When you can't get there, the best thing
is do is get your hands up. Never know, Hey,
lastly here with those drive bakes, everybody wants to leave.
It feels like we've been here three weeks.
Speaker 5 (24:13):
Uh but uh but nevertheless, uh, with with with you
week by week, I mean physically mentally. We're near the
end of the season, man, and you play a lot,
and you've you've been you know. I mean, I could
argue you're the Vikings defensive MVP. How do you keep
yourself fresh? How do you keep yourself mentally and physically fresh?
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Physically?
Speaker 13 (24:31):
You just you know, get in the training room and
do everything you gotta do, you know, spend spend money
on your body. So mentally, man, I'm blessed to be here.
So I'm just I'm taking it, you know, day by day.
I'm just happy to be here, happy to do my job.
You're fantastic man. Congratulations on the victory.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Yes, sir, Thank you man, Jalen Redman, Yes, Sir Murphy.
Speaker 5 (24:54):
Byer Murphy got that interception. I felt good about that
for Biyer Murphy. Eighteen consecutive without an interception. He had
six last year, the most since ninety eight for a
Vikings corner. Jimmy Hitchcock in the house at seven that
year and three went to the house. Thanks everybody for
acquiescing and accommodating the hyper announcer with.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
The drive bys.
Speaker 5 (25:15):
I missed Bier Murphy Junior and I'm sadden that I
missed Bira Murphy Junior, but who knows, maybe we'll catch

the game winner to Dj Moore, Well, those are about
(28:48):
the best two throws I ever have seen, Young Caleb

two consecutive dirty losses, Jordan Love got knocked out of
this one, and Romeo Dobbs is facing the wrath of
some fans perturbed to completely blew it on an on

(29:08):
and one was on the wrong side of the two
biggest plays of the game, and the Bear snapped a
nasty losing streaking home to Mattie Lafleur and are in
the driver's seat to win the NFC North. Meanwhile, Colorado
came to town to skate with our beloved while you
know the power.
Speaker 15 (29:25):
Play Grips went home right off the draw short side
one timer and the NHL is leading point gutter now
officially with sixty eight on the ear makes it too.
Speaker 13 (29:37):
That don't like that.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
No, we don't like that.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
We don't like that.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
To morning po NFL Jacksonville went make that. NBA the
Minnesota Timberwolves after a Finchy went ballistic on Friday in
the OKC victory. Hey we beat OKAC. By the way,
it's not too late to give copany claps for that.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
That's hard.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
Then Milwaukee came to town last night and here was
part of the action. Day's open to.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
The corner, far side. He swims it up top to Randall.
Speaker 14 (30:06):

Speaker 1 (30:30):
That's they're looking to stay hot.
Speaker 5 (30:32):
Tomorrow night at Target Center, here comes Kiddy, Here comes
Cat Karl Anthony Towns and his New York Knicks. That's

Speaker 14 (30:50):
Daguarth have a four man front shotgun for nicks Hey
twelve to play in the ball game. Ready mix drops
four man rush fires downfield and uphol can.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
Be picked off to Jagon shut The Jorian Jones went
up and got it.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
You're the thirty yard line of the Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Want to play by Jorian. The defense takes it away
in a huge moment.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
How good is that?
Speaker 5 (31:18):
Quite good if you're a fan of the Teal, the
Jacksonville jagu Wars, who are playoff bound. And finally, the
Minnesota Vikings host the Detroit Lions Christmas Day and the
Lions took the l yesterday at home to the Black
and Gold of.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
The Pittsburgh Football Steelers.
Speaker 16 (31:35):
Fourth and goal for the Lions from the nine ball
game on the line right here, they need the end
zone for the win.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Jared leans in.
Speaker 16 (31:44):
There's the snap on fourth down, Jared back, Jared stepping up,
Jared LOOKI throwing end zone.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
It is caught by Amen.
Speaker 16 (31:51):
Rash Shy at the end zone. He flipped it back
to Goff who ducked it to.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
The end zone for the touchdowns. All right, there's a
flag that came in, so listen to this. Okay, and
there's like forty seconds left. I want you to listen
to when the referee explains comes to culmination. So it's
fourth and goal from the nine. I know you got
travel terrorism back. They need the touchdown to win, and
it is complete. Dom and Ra who flips it to
(32:16):
Golf who goes He jumps into the end zone, gets
knocked around almost you know, Sage rosenfels the Rosencopter style
a little bit. But there's a penalty on the play.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Did they rule him down?
Speaker 16 (32:30):
Are they going to say pass interference against dom and Ra?
There's no time left on the clock. Here comes Carl Scheffers.
The officials have finally broken. We're gonna get the call
right here? Is this game over or nine?
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Pittsburgh's staying on the field. There really on the field
is a touchdown.
Speaker 17 (32:43):
However, hurts ferit number fourteen on the offense. My rule
that penalty is not enforced and there is no replay.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
The game is over.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Wow, there is hell is that.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Under the fourteen negates the penalty.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
There is no replay. The game was over.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
There is no store, there is no score.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
Well wait a second, I mean, did did Carl is
Carl cheffers Cheffer's tray Blake reincarnate with that explanation. The
call on the field is a touchdown. Ah, but now
we got all this stuff nobody understands.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Wow. Well yeah, and that's why it took him forty
seconds to spit it all out. And he kept making
the mistake of saying that the penalty was not going
to be enforced. But there is no touchdown. And then
the OPI as in the penalty negates the penalty.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
There is no score. The game is over.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
It was an interesting sequence. But the kiddies man oo
tough beat for them, and you know what that means, pa, hmmm,
guarantees the under ten and a half tickets are Beam cash.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
That play by play voice you heard Dan the man
on the fan, Dan Miller. He joins nine to noon
tomorrow at about nine five, and I guess we'll be
talking about that a little bit. That's the weekend rap
courtesy of Scott Hendricks and Hoffman Cooling and Heating. It's
Hoffmanheating dot Net talkbacks around the corner. But first, it
is now post time for vikes bites, Bikes bites, Bikes bites.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Vikes bites, brought to you by Thousand Hills, Lifetime Grazed,
grass fed beat Reader, Vieve Now yesterday, Pa, I want
to start with with a Vike bite amid you know
we got we got the hand injury to the QB.
QB's gonna come up in conversation today, I'm sure of it.
But justin, Jefferson signs a life right and six catches
(34:38):
eighty five yards still quite pedestrian for what we've known
in totality of what Jefferson can do. Yep. But given
that I think you had thirty seven yards the previous
three games combined six and eighty fives feeling good now
in a season that won't include the playoffs, those six
catches yesterday make him now the record holder for the
most catches in the history of the NFL through six seasons.
(35:01):
I believe he passed Jarvis Landry as part of that.
The eighty five yards Operation one sixty eight in terms
of getting him to one thousand yards, Operation one sixty
eight is now operation eighty three over the final two games.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
And this is something Why don't we just do this
on Christmas, and it's this nice little Christmas gift. He
is justin Jefferson twenty seven yards, shy of passing Randy
Moss Super Bowl home Boy for the most receiving yards
through six seasons. Trials and tribulations, ups and downs, injuries galore,
number eighteen silver linings. We don't want them, but we're
(35:41):
going to lean on them. A good possibility of ending
the season with a few records in his pocket to boot.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
Where did we go wrong?
Speaker 5 (35:49):
I mean, he got all the offensive line combinations and
three quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
And the kid plays and leaves and plays and leaves
and plays and leaves.
Speaker 5 (35:57):
And yeah, I know you've had injuries all over the place,
but I mean you got Jefferson Craken records in the
most nondescript year he's had. Jalen Redman moved up to
six sacks. Eric Wilson never has played better. Isaiah Rodgers
has two touchdowns granted in one game, you scored thirty
in a couple of games in two of your last
(36:17):
three games. The defense hasn't allowed a passing touchdowns since November.
And Baltimore and okay, there was Jackson Dart, Jaden Daniels
and Marcus Mariota. Terrorism in there, I include Daniels, you know,
with all due respect because he was coming off a
dislocated elbow. But you also got Dak and you got
(36:38):
Jordan Love and Caleb Williams and Sam the man who
used to play on the fan.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
I mean, where what happened?
Speaker 5 (36:44):
I mean six consecutive games without allowing a passing touchdown.
The kicker hits the longest field goal in the history
of Minnesota Vikings football, rarely misses from fifty and beyond
and never has missed an extra point in his career.
The punter never has played better right where.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Oh he is? And by the way, when's the last
time we got six sacks from an interior defensive lineman? Wow?
Great question, Tom Johnson six and a half?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Maybe?
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Well's that's the thing is we used to I used
to talk about in laud Tom Johnson, of all people,
No offense to Tom. He had a nice career, but
certainly a veteran journeyman, kind of gun for hire at
that stage of his career. I think he was twenty seventeen.
But we used to talk about three techniques, like can
we just find a guy that can do what Tom
Johnson was doing prior to that would be Ka, would
(37:30):
be k dub Kevin Williams. But what Jalen Redman has
done this year so impressive, Like where did we go wrong?
Where did we go wrong? Oh?
Speaker 5 (37:38):
And tomorrow at twin Citi's Orthopedics Performance Center, general manager
Quasia Doopho Mensa joins about eleven thirty five short weak
terrorism head coach Busy and Jalen the Jalens. Jalen Redman
and Jalen Naylor both have their contracts up at the
end of the year. Redman is an exclusive restrictive free agent,
(38:00):
so he'll be back. Nayler's unrestricted, Eric Wilson unrestricted. Old
GM's got some He's got some big decisions to make
at the end of the year, doesn't he.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
Yeah, So I think if they if the Vikings were
to finish this out, and I know we got kiddies
and packers and people will immediately scoff at this, But
you're right. There is Jackson Dart, but there was Caleb
Williams and Jordan Love. There were some players as part
of this defensive streak. I think we tie the modern
era record if we were to get to eight it's
like the seventies Packers or maybe the eighties Browns or
(38:32):
something like that.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
And see, here's here's what I did yesterday during the
game call, because all I could with true media, all
I could do was go back to two thousand. Okay,
the twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen Patriots went six in a row,
and part of it was six in a row with Bflow.
Six in a row with Bflow, he would have been there. Yeah,
one game in twenty eighteen, that counts. The restaurant in
twenty nineteen when he went to Miami.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
But he set the table though.
Speaker 1 (38:56):
He set the table up.
Speaker 5 (38:58):
So those are the two teams to go six consecutive
without allowing a passing touchdown. I think I think somebody
may have done it in eighty eight and then they
you say that.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
Was the Browns.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
Then in the seventies it was the Packers.
Speaker 6 (39:14):
Damn man.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
So we're sitting on some good stuff and all jokes aside.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Though, if you keep the Detroit Lions out of the
end zone with a passing touchdown, I don't know who
the Browns were stopping. I don't know who B Flow
for one game and the Pats in twenty nineteen were stopping.
If you keep those guys out of the end zone
with passing touchdowns, holy cow.
Speaker 3 (39:33):
Well, and you have to give them credit whether it's
one game, all jokes aside. Think about the fact that
Brian Flores last quarter century of defenses that you were
able to look up on true media. Yeah, he was
affiliated with both squads who are on this type of street.
So impressive work for Flores.
Speaker 5 (39:51):
With the twelve days of a vikings Christmas tomorrow, which
we will cut today or hear it tomorrow when we
get to three, one of the threes will unfurl is
let's see four tds for Oliver, three more years for
BEFO please, I want you, I want you to fix
the alliteration. But how about three more years for bflow
(40:11):
Paul Lee's.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
Well, that was part of the fanline conversation yesterday was
basically love the last two and a half games that
we've gotten for McCarthy, But it's two and a half
because he had to leave the field again, so we
gotta we gotta see what's going on there and hoping
he plays on Christmas. Yeah, but you know how the
NFL records work. If you start the game and they
win the game. Mm no, no, no, no, hope, sorry,
(40:36):
m But to the to the side. Other than that,
one thing popping up is his contract. Brian Flores, his
contract is up, and so is the NFL going to
give him a head coaching job. We got the legal
stuff going on, all of those things. I still I
go back in time. I thought him becoming the assistant
(40:58):
for uh for for Tomlin and that was the eventual
baton handoff. But then he comes here. It just there's
a lot of wondering about what flores His future is.
I believe that if the Wolfs want him here, they
have the ability to get it done and to keep
them here, but that he'll have head coaching opportunities in
such this offseason.
Speaker 5 (41:19):
Yeah, I mean, as he's had X amount of off
seasons over the last x amount of years.
Speaker 3 (41:25):
Well, I thought it was two years ago he didn't
even interview for one.
Speaker 5 (41:28):
I'm pretty sure last year he didn't. Last off season
he did an interview for one either. I'm not sure
I'd have to look that up. I mean, I'm very,
very fond of Brian, not only professionally but personally. And
you know, I mean, with all due respect he's involved
in two lawsuits against the NFL. Yeah, and you know
we're not making this things seem like NBA ref fix
(41:51):
game terrorism or anything. But the NBA wields, the NFL
wields the hammer. Now, if the Las Vegas Raid are
thoroughly board with Pete Carroll, Mark Davis, doesn't care, Mark,
Dad Al and Mark, they don't care what the NFL
says and where win or why. They'll hire who they
(42:12):
want when they want.
Speaker 14 (42:13):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (42:14):
Would you want to go to Vegas and coach the Raiders?
Speaker 5 (42:16):
I wouldn't, But head coaching jobs are hard to get, right,
I don't envision it. I wish nothing but the best
for Brian, and that would include maybe getting a head
coaching job. But if the Wilfs want him here and
he ain't getting a sniff for a head coaching job,
he ain't leaving.
Speaker 3 (42:33):
I mean, I don't think it's like some elite cabal
related bit where all the owners are sitting in a
room somewhere and they're like, let's all actively go against
Brian Flores. But I think there is a natural protectionist
aspect of it. When the guy does have two lawsuits
going against the league. Man he's a good coach, so
it's like, I want what's best for him, but what's
(42:53):
best for my favorite football team is that he's the
def and coordinator. Yeah they're not.
Speaker 5 (42:57):
I mean it wouldn't be obvious, and maybe it wouldn't
even be, but like say he were head coach of
the Raiders from about seven games into the season.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
Holy cow.
Speaker 5 (43:07):
The Las Vegas Raiders have the most penalties by any
team in the history of the NFL through through seven games,
and most of them are found in penalties a man
officiating in the NFL and the NBA.
Speaker 3 (43:21):
Right now, Holy now might be at an all time low. No,
it's crazy. And you got Pookin Nakua getting loose on
social media immediately after game I went after the refs. Yeah,
you went after the refs. That was what Pad McVeigh
last last Thursday night with the podcast being stuck with
We'll hold on the turns to the side. Wait a minute,
let him hear that that streaming crew was was in
(43:42):
the building.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
Who said yes?
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Interested? Somebody said the boss, the boss, well, and then
suddenly the special teams coordinator got fired out there.
Speaker 5 (43:50):
Well the we we we have somebody involved with the NBA.
I believe his name is Joe Dor. Yes, Joe dor
was strictly NBA, super popular, TikTok and a friend of
Parker Fox's. So they'll be here about an hour from now.
And one thing I'm going to bring up with him
is David Adelman, coach of the Denver Nuggets. Well, he
(44:12):
basically did the same thing Saturday night Chris Finch did
in the Oklahoma City game that he had to be
restrained by security assistant coaches. He wanted to go after
the ref. All right, So we got two consecutive nights.
I think this has been reported, but I know a
fair amount of head coaches around the NBA texted Chris
(44:32):
Finch Friday night and we'll just leave it at that, Yeah,
we got you dog. Well, then the next night, one
of them, who I wouldn't be surprised if he texted, well,
he went ballistic and he went off Adalman, Okay this
is the thing. Yeah, Okay, they are they they are
laying the they're laying the groundwork for something to change.
(44:53):
And Finch got Finchy got fined thirty five thousand dollars. Yep,
that's paltry for what happened in that incident. Yeah, that's
the NBA's way of saying, we kind of have to
do this. I mean, you're bleeping bee, you bleeping bleeping Yeah,
everybody saw it. The NBA security got involved. So thirty
(45:16):
five grand that's it. That's the NBA's way of saying, Yep,
we know we have a problem.
Speaker 3 (45:20):
Well especially I mean Ant, you know Aunt himself, wasn't
he fined like half a million dollars so the season
last year?
Speaker 5 (45:28):
Yeah, but it is those players love I know this
is Vike spies, but those players love Benchi.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
Some of that stuff.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
Ant said after the game, Wow, that was cool.
Speaker 3 (45:36):
Well, they not only do they love their coach, but
I will say it's illuminating to see how the coach
thinks about the refs and how that trickles down. And
so we're thinking, man, you know, some of our players
get chippy with the refs, and you can you can
look league wide and find this. This is not isolated
to the Timberwolves, and it's like, you know, it's it's
kind of well, just hand the ball to the ref
and move on with the game. Why do you get
(45:57):
so up and he why are their technicals? Why is
their chirping? Are those things? I think everybody in the
league just freaking hates the refs. That's bad, and the
league's not clearly not doing enough to change the problem. Yeah,
here's the deal, just quickly, and this is the deal.
Speaker 5 (46:11):
I am hitting you with a Here is the reality,
because I've been told it's the reality in these leagues.
Speaker 3 (46:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (46:18):
The hiring practices for officials in the NFL, Not the refs.
All right, chefer's cheffers. He does a good job. He
blew it on the microphone. Yeah, all right, Not the referees,
the white Caps, the officials that are being hired side judges,
back judges, stuff like that. The hiring practices for a
lot of them, and a fair amount of these NBA
(46:40):
refs that are skipping levels.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
It ain't it. It's not working.
Speaker 5 (46:45):
They're bad, they're unqualified, and it's it's harming.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
Two of the Core four and pro sports.
Speaker 4 (46:53):
It is.
Speaker 3 (46:54):
We'll just leave it at that. That's all I got
for Vikes Bites brought to you by Thousand Hills, Lifetime
Grazed Grass.
Speaker 5 (47:00):
Ali McNeil talkbacks around the corner, followed by the analyst.
Then nine to noon rolls into the second hour, you're
listening to FM one hundred point three Kfan your Vikes
Bits Leader talkback Time, a couple of spots for talkbacks
(47:26):
now and following a Ben Lever Justin Jefferson interview about
twenty five minutes from now talk back time nine to noon,
and here they are.
Speaker 18 (47:37):
Hey, Pa, I just wanted to say up until McCarthy
got heard, I thought he was looking really good and
he was showing some real progress out there. Obviously, he
still has some things he needs to work on, but overall,
I feel like he's been improving each and every week. However,
now that he's heard again, I just feel like there's
this dark cloud that continues to hang over the Vikings
(47:59):
when it comes to quarterbacks. Talk me down from the ledge, PA,
tell me the Vikings aren't going to give.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
Up on him. Then give up on him. I don't.
Speaker 5 (48:07):
I mean, you've invested so much into him time wise
and eventually financially. I don't anticipate giving up on JJ
McCarthy talking somebody off the proverbial plank. A reminder, Thursday
is these seasons penultimate game. Then you close with Green
Bay either on a Saturday or a Sunday.
Speaker 1 (48:27):
The week after that.
Speaker 5 (48:29):
Then the season's over, you recalibrate, and you start anew
in late July and August with training camp, so that
that that should eliminate whatever dark cloud is hovering over
hovering over you right now. Uh.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Secondly, I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (48:47):
Uh. And I went back and watched watch his plays
this morning. I think JJ was sitting on a big
one yesterday because there was a lot more justin Jefferson
inclusion with different plays than maybe Brosemore put him on.
Owner Kevin called, I think I think joh JJ was
sitting on a good one yesterday. Now when Burns, when
Burns crushed him, you know, they're trying to run a
(49:08):
screen right and therefore Brian O'Neill, you know, heads to
the left to block his guy, and you got b
Theaters running down the field to get in front of
get in front of the screener, and McCarthy needs to
throw that ball at the foot of the intended receiver.
A mistake was made, he got crushed. We have a
hurt finger. It's all part of raising kids.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
Pa and Nordo.
Speaker 19 (49:31):
I know the Vikes have to make some tough decisions
in the offseason, but one thing that's increasingly becoming clear
to me, is Jordan Addison versus Jalen Naylor. We would
have thought that we were obviously going to try and
keep Addison, But what if we keep Naylor instead? I mean,
what about all these Addison drops this year.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
It's just ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
Roll I hadn't even thought of that.
Speaker 5 (49:50):
Yeah, because Naylor's unrestricted at the end of the year,
and Addison will be heading into his fourth.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
Year, which means you can do the you can do
with your option the fifth year option. Bit.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
Wow, Jordan's dropping the end zone yesterday just can't happen.
Speaker 5 (50:06):
Are you kidding me with that? It's been kind of
a common thread. I don't think Naylor played well yesterday either.
I mean, Brosemer, I think it was through to the
right sideline. It was a fantastic pass. Naylor just got
himself all twisted up. Well, He's also that was off
a Naylor with the interception. I think McCarthy threw as well, right,
(50:28):
which is a pass that you also have to catch.
Speaker 3 (50:30):
Wow, that's right.
Speaker 5 (50:31):
So, I mean neither one of them at the stage
seemed to be finishing with a plumb. Maybe they have
the off season on their minds. I got to think
that went out. I hadn't really looked at it that way.
But see, you're gonna have Addison next year, it's guaranteed.
Then you can do the fifty.
Speaker 12 (50:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
I just wonder what Jalen will get on the open market.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
Now.
Speaker 5 (50:56):
Jalen Naylor fits the LA rams like a proverbial love
with the way he plays.
Speaker 3 (51:01):
He'd probably have to move. I mean that the answer
would probably come they have to move Addison, maybe in
the next couple months, right leading up to the ability
to sign Nailer in the free agency period, and you.
Speaker 5 (51:13):
Still would be void a high end receiver. And that's
considering Nailer a high end receiver. And with respect, I'm
not sure I'm willing to take that leap either. Yeah,
Addison has some high end to him, all right, Addison
when Jordan's all squared away. I mean, I think we
got twenty two touchdowns receiving through three seasons, so twenty
(51:35):
four with that rushing touchdown at Lambeau.
Speaker 3 (51:38):
Yeah, nineteen into this season. Yeah, So so he's uber talented.
But whether it's the and he's paying for past transgressions
with the three game suspension that took about a year
to adjudicate and all that. Yeah, but then the missing
bid in London kind of just the enigmatic part of
this makes it very difficult, I think to judge. I
(52:00):
think he's he's a better receiver than Jalen Naylor. Yes,
I just think he's he's more talented and when and
you used to be able to say, he's absolutely more
reliable and more game in every situation. But the drops,
I think he's got eight of them this year. That's
among the most in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (52:17):
O'Connor would lay on the sword for Naylor, but there's
only so much you can do depending on what the
market offers.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
That's a very interesting, tricky talker. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (52:29):
I mean, maybe Nordo's paying Lebron and I'm paying Dwayne
Wade the BK in Texas. All right, not all talkbacks.
You know, we're we're we we love it when our
team feels success. Not everybody feels the same.
Speaker 20 (52:47):
What an awful game that was yesterday. I didn't start
watch until.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
Well, that's the guy.
Speaker 20 (52:52):
I think it's the guy in the second quarter. I
went Christmas shopping yesterday morning. I don't ever miss a
Boka's game. I knew that would be terrible, and it was,
Oh gosh, recipe for a disaster of football season.
Speaker 3 (53:06):
Let's go with J. J.
Speaker 20 (53:07):
McCarthy over Sam Donald. Let's go with Ryan Kelly over
Brad Burry, and let's get rid of Cambindam and put
whoever back there.
Speaker 5 (53:16):
Wow, pKa and Texas went off. Enough football, Yeah that's
the guy. Enough with the Donald stuff, thanks for listening.
Enough with the Donald stuff, enough of it, okay, because
it it. Yeah, Sam's better than JJ McCarthy at this
stage of the equation. All right, I think only a
fool would say it wasn't. I mean, what are we
(53:36):
looking at a one hundred million dollar deal here? All
that guaranteed money, and and and hey, I know he
came through for the most part against the La Rams
in the most recent game. All right, that's great, and
and and Seattle very well could be the one seed
if I own the Minnesota Vikings and Nordo's the general
manager or whomever makes the in house final decision on that.
(54:00):
The four Michael, we got to have this guy. I
look at them and say, we all watch the Lions
game together, right, okay, so we know exactly what happened
there right, yeah, because players like that are the absolute worst.
They get your right to where you need to be
and they don't come through ever. Yep, maybe Sam will
(54:21):
So I look at GM Nordo and be like, all right,
I'm signing that check. But if that happens again at
your job, right, that's it. If that happens again, it's
all duckies and bunnies and glory and joy and everything.
And then that happens again, you're out. So you want
me sign it or not. So enough of the Donald stuff. Secondly,
and you knew it was going to be a step back.
(54:43):
I mean the entire purpose of this exercise in drafting
a QB tenth overall two years ago. It was a
step back to step forward.
Speaker 3 (54:50):
Oh of course for the long term. And so the
revisionist history involved in getting you to that point where
you're saying, should have kept Donald? I just I'm over
that as well. I don't.
Speaker 5 (55:03):
I don't know, man, I mean, Cracy can pay Lebron,
I'm paying Dwayne Wade one more, one more talk back.
Speaker 3 (55:09):
And the Garrett Bradbury thing, oh yeah, that's the second one,
and the Bynum thing.
Speaker 1 (55:12):
Yeah, uh, the the second one has merit.
Speaker 11 (55:16):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (55:17):
The third one with Bynum, I think I think Cameron's
coming back to the pack a little bit for the
Indianapolis Colts like you did with the Minnesota Vikings. And
I like cam binam, but he has his limitations, uh
Kelly with the concussions and off the season ender at
Indianapolis last year.
Speaker 1 (55:35):
And I mean brad Berry.
Speaker 5 (55:36):
I don't know how brad Berry's playing, but I know
he's playing, and I know he's part of a team
that could advance through the postseason. So I think that
I think that debate right there absolutely has merit.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (55:48):
The Donald the Darnald bit does not the Bynum bit.
I'd have to think out Harrison Smith. Harrison, I mean,
this probably is Harrison Smith's final year. He is finishing
so well. Holy cow, the way he got things squared
away with the cat and Mouse game with Dak Prescott.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
I mean, he had Flores, had Dax flummoxed.
Speaker 5 (56:11):
Harrison Smith had him staring at a ceiling fan after
the game, questioning his professional A lot in life. Yeah,
that's how good Harry was in that game. Harry off
the Edge and the Giants game. Wow, he had some
popp He's still running.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
Well, I think that just a tackling finishing the tackles
for number twenty two at the stage of his career.
Just it isn't the same. Yeah, I've heard that and
I need to watch that back. But he is from
a coverage standpoint and just still I mean, just the
the the mental side of the game. Yeah, he's basically
smartest guy on field most times. I mean, I like,
if I had a dollar Maun, I bet eighty percent
(56:45):
of it that year fourteen is the end. I can
just tell by being around Smith in the locker room
after games. Old people get exhausted.
Speaker 5 (56:55):
But Harrison has a dark side to him that I
kind of have to where like we like, you know,
certain dark things with music and stuff like that. Because
he was what we were walking to the buses outside
of Met Life yesterday and I'm like, damn, man, yeah almost.
Speaker 1 (57:10):
Got that sack.
Speaker 18 (57:11):
You know.
Speaker 5 (57:11):
That means he and Rende Barber are the only two
with at least thirty eight picks and twenty one and
a half sacks. And he goes, I didn't want it
to be that way. I'm like, bro, you're darker than me.
Holy cow, Old people are dark. I didn't want it
to be that way, the helmet to helmet thing. You know,
the I didn't see the replay.
Speaker 3 (57:29):
Was it a good call?
Speaker 5 (57:30):
It's it's message freaked out, but he freaks out on
every bendal letter of the rule. It's a good call, okay,
but but it's it's frustrating because it's a whata are
you supposed to do? And I actually, I actually think
the other sack on Wilson would be more of the
Wilson going full speed darts trying to evade and adjust
you get helmet to helmet. This was kind of again
(57:51):
based on the letter of the law. I think it
should be a sack. Now we got body weight things.
I mean, the way they're they're the way they're refing
this thing is preposterous.
Speaker 12 (57:58):
But it was.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
It was a legit call.
Speaker 5 (58:01):
You I mean, we could talk this thing out so much,
and we got to pause because the analyst is at
the analyst he's en route from TCO Radio. But Mike
Kafka and the New York Giants, because of their offensive
line situation, they had a replacement at left guard cat
named Stinny, and he's not very good. But then Thomas
goes down and they got to bring in this Purdue
(58:21):
rookie with the last named Bo and the guy's inn
l and but even with Thomas and the luminar the
right tackle, those tackles are massive. He they crafted a
game plan basically hoisting the white flag, not to purposely
lose and commit a felony and fix a game.
Speaker 1 (58:39):
But I like, there's nothing we can do with this.
It comes from all over the place.
Speaker 5 (58:45):
It's a floresa meba, and we're not going to get
our kid killed because he always gets concussions.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
I think he had fifteen runs with like eight minutes
that the team had fifteen rush attempts with like eight
minutes left in the second quarter.
Speaker 5 (58:56):
Dark, didn't I know his first completion was to the
other team. Well, I know you probably mentioned this on
fan line. Jackson Dart, who's a he's a fine quarterback
with twenty touchdowns into the game seven with his legs,
didn't have a completion until the second quarter.
Speaker 1 (59:12):
Yeah, I mean, that's unbelievable. It is. That's a that's.
Speaker 5 (59:16):
A coaching staff crafting a game plan saying we just
need to get out of here alive. Correct, probably going
to be nine in a row. Four B flow nine
in a row four b flow, Yeah, the gloss nine.
Speaker 3 (59:25):
In a row, Brian Burns and have dual carter Like
if a duels got something, If this new if the
last couple of weeks tell you what the future is,
they got something, that duel is going to be unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (59:34):
By the way, when I saw Tyler Newban week one
last year, I was like, all right, he's a rookie,
he belongs, but mistakes happened.
Speaker 3 (59:41):
Dynamited Sky.
Speaker 5 (59:42):
You Ma didn't think he was really anything's about He's really, really,
really improved. And that's more so than just off yesterday
Dexter Lawrence. He's let himself go a little bit. I'll
just put it that way. Let himself go a little bit,
and the old eight consecutive losses a little sexy DEXI
with a half sack through fifteen starts. I talked to
(01:00:04):
Will Fries about him. I don't think it was a
drive by, you know, And I'm Turks and Caicos is calling.
It doesn't matter what I said to Will. But Will
was like, he's still a load to block, yeah, because
he's so twitchy and big. But big people might have
let themselves go a little bit for the holiday. Yeah,
maybe maybe the three second burst is now a second
(01:00:24):
and a half. I'd still take him, all right, The
analyst joins Nine and Moon around the corner.
Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
Okay,
