Speaker 1 (00:06):
Wild sounds of hockey.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, pop talk, let's go, let's go and let me
do good morning pop talk.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
We're talking about it, well pot talk.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Let's just say, any days a great day to be
a hockey fan.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
But on the morning of opening.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Night, there's just a little something special in the air.
And that includes today Kevin Falness, Brett blakemore in for
Paul Allen and Eric Nordquist nine to noon on KFA
N And that means we're gonna do a whole lot
of hockey over the course of the next three hours.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
And let's jump right into it.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Tonight, the Wild open the regular season in the Saint
Louis pregame at six forty five right here on FM
one hundred point three. The fan and the head coach
of the Minnesota Wild is John Hines. He's out there
in Saint Louis ready to battle with the Blues. John
Kevin Falnas, good morning, and welcome to day one of
the regular season.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
Yeah, good morning, Kevin, Thanks for having me man.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Yeah, absolutely, what a training camp it was, What a
preseason it was. Uh, you're a guy that loves to teach,
you love the training camp. I heard you just barking
orders yesterday during practice. I mean that in the most
respectful way possible. But I know you enjoy that aspect
of it. But are you happy that day one is
finally here?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
For sure.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
You know.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
I think when you when you go into training camp,
it's it's it's really an opportunity, uh, I think to
instill the structure you want to play with, the mindsets,
the identities, and and it's nice because you have probably
the most opportunity throughout the NHL season where you can
really practice and push the guys and and and you
have the time, uh to able to to to do

(02:21):
those things day in and day out. So I think
we've take we've taken advantage of of our opportunity and
training camp. I think the players have uh, you know,
pushed themselves and have made the camp intense by their
work ethic and their willingness to put the work in
day in and day out. And then now it's really exciting,
right we we we get to the end of we're prepared,

(02:42):
which is a good feeling, but now you get to
go and compete for real. So it's it's an exciting day.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
What's special about Opening.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Night, Well, it's you know, it's uh, you know, yesterday
was like it was like Christmas Eve, and today is
like Christmas Day, right, you know, the the anticipation to go.
It's the start of a new journey. It's the start
of a new seats and uh, you know we're we're
competing for real now, you know, with the standing. So
that's what makes it all all exciting. You put all
the hard work in the off season, in the training camp,

(03:09):
and now now the now the regular season journey begins.
So it's exciting.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I know you're excited for The home opener comes Saturday,
when the Wild open up against the Columbus Blue Jackets,
first of forty one games on home ice.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
But tonight you're in Saint Louis.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Tom Reid's theory is opening on the road takes the
pressure off the visitor, It puts it on the shoulders
of the home team. Do you buy into that? Why
don't we try and redial mister John Hines?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I got you, I got we got you back.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
I got you.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, I was just.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Talking about opening on the road. It takes a little
pressure off the visitor.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Do you buy into that?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
You know?

Speaker 5 (03:55):
I think I think you seem you know, the home
team has a lot of you know, there's a lot
of things that go around it. You know, usually they
have the red that come in on the carpet and
there's a lot of fanfare and things like that. I
think when you come in as a visiting team, it's
you know, it's no different than any other road game.
But you know, I think the the challenge for both
teams in game one is I think there's gonna be
a lot of emotion. There's going to be a lot

(04:16):
of juice in the game. So I think it's having
having the right focus and coming out playing fast, uh,
playing on our instincts and doing the things that make
us a strong team.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
How far into the weed you want to get with
your lineup decisions, but looking at practice yesterday, it looked
like the rookie Hunter Hate will make his NHL debut
tonight in that center ice position on the fourth line
with the absence of Nico Sturm.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Can you declare he's ready to make his NHL debut?

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Yeah, we have. We have just a couple a couple
of decisions to make. Like we're at the rink now.
The players will be over here in a little bit.
We'll have a morning skate, so we just we'll make
a couple of final decisions here, probably within an.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Hour, whether hate debuts or not.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
What did you like about him in training camp and
what have you heard about his his resume coming into
what promises to be a promising career, whether it begins
tonight or not.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yeah, Hunter came in.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
He had a really good camp. I think, you know,
last year, he had a good season in Iowa, you know,
as a as a young player that got twenty year old.
He scored, He scored twenty goals, but probably more importantly,
he played in every situation. He played the power play,
played played on the penalty kill.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
He's got a great competitive nature to him. He's a
smart player and he and he came into camp. He
looked strong, he moved well. We used him in a
lot of different situations and he played well. So it's
nice when you have a player that's you know, his
second year, second year pro as I mean, and pushed
in training camp for an opportunity to play.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Yeah, those young young faces pushing for playing time within
your system. Bill Garon did make a couple of tweaks
to the lineup and bringing in Tarasenko and Nico Sturm.
But for the most part, his busy work was signing
those extensions Capri sav ROSSI plus locking down your number
one guy. I know the future is bright for Yespravolstead
as well. But how important was it to get Philip

(06:04):
Gustafson locked up and how happy are you for him?

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (06:08):
It was really important. I think I think Phillip's really
grown and I think when you look at the year
that you had last year, he's one of the top
goalies in the league. But you know, I think when
you make a commitment to a number one goalie for
those years, you know he's got the right work ethic,
he's got the right demeanor. You know, you want your
you want your goaltenders similar to like a quarterback, just

(06:30):
they have the you know, it's it's a very important position.
You can't win without them playing at a high level.
But you know, getting the getting the team to play
hard in front of you, and his demeanor and some
of the swagger that he has, the way that he's
practiced like, he's really developed into into a guy that
you know, we believe can win his games night in.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
The night out.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
So happy for him and his family, but it's also
great for a team.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Talking to the head coach of the Minnesota while John
Hines just a couple of more before we get him
out there ready for the morning skate while taking on
the Blues tonight in Saint Louis.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Pregame starts at six forty five.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Puck drops at precisely seven fourteen here in the Central
time zone. Let me go to your top line again. Lineup,
decisions to be made. But at least what I saw
in the preseason with Rossi and between Caprice, Havev and Boldie,
that trio was electric. How excited are you for the
potential of those three and the magic they can put together.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
Yeah, very excited about those guys. I think that all
three have come back in great shape and made strides
over the summer in there in the fitness level and
have come into camp, whether it's in practice or the
exhibition games. You know, they've they've played well. They've got
a great work ethic. I think they're they're offensive threats,
but they're you know, they play a style of game

(07:43):
that they're hard to play against. They're good on both
sides of the puck. They play a lot of key
situations for us, So I'm excited to see those guys
again tonight.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
All right, last one, you're going to Saint Louis taking
on a team from the Central Division. This division is
going to be a gauntlet. Saint Louis is going to
be right there in the thick of things. You just
know it. What are you up against tonight? When you
to look at a Blues team that, if I remember correctly,
you took three or four against last year, including both
games in Saint Louis.

Speaker 5 (08:07):
Yeah, Saint Louis is a good team. I think that
they you know, you see how they finished the season
last year. I think they have some good young players.
They play a quick, fast game. They're uh, they're they're
a good transition team. You know, they're good off the
line rush.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
So it's going to be a challenge.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
You know, we gotta we got to make sure that
you know, we're we're focused on ourselves and ice and
ice in the best game that we can play. And
I think if we do that, it's going to be
a highly competitive game. And you know, we're looking forward
to get started and putting our best game on the
ice here tonight.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
To me, you strike me as a guy that's pretty
flat lined. There's not real high ups, real high lows,
at least not what we see visually out in front
of us.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Uh. Is there something special about Opening Night?

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Will be butterflies even though you're not playing, you're just
behind the I say, just behind the bench. You've got
a pretty important job. But are there nerves going into
game one of eighty two?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
I think every game you get, you know, you get
a little bit excited and you get some butterflies, particularly
opening night because you haven't played a game yet. And yeah,
you're you're you're anxious to see your team play and
all the work in preparation that the coaches and players
put in and we're now we're playing for real. But
I think it's healthy, and you know, that's part of
our jobs. You get excited for games and you get
some butterflies. I think it's healthy. It keeps you on

(09:19):
your toes and I'm certainly excited for tonight as well
as our team.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
John, thanks for doing this on a game day. Good
luck tonight in Saint Louis, good luck this season.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
All right, Thanks appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
There you go, the head coach.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Of the Minnesota Wild John Hines out there in Saint
Louis and we're ready for game number one of season,
number twenty five. Brett the Wild taking on the Blues again.
Pregame at six forty five right here on FM one
hundred point three the Fan, You're home from Minnesota Wild Hockey.
Puck will drop at seven fourteen from Saint Louis, And yeah,
I mean, I know, there wasn't a lot done in
the offseason in terms of tweaking this lineup, but they

(09:53):
bring in a veteran presence like of Vladimir Tarasenko, who
only has upside. You also have Nico Sterm who unfortun
is injured right now. It doesn't look like he's gonna
play any time in the near future. No Mats Zuccarello,
Jonas brodein another one of those question marks going into tonight.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
But I know you, of.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
All people, definitely love the fact that there's young faces
pushing for spots in the lineup starting tonight.

Speaker 7 (10:16):
In fact, I love seeing young faces get an opportunity,
and it's unfortunate that it comes to the price of
Zucarello being heard and Nico Stern being hurt. But that's
your chance, if you're a Eurov or an Ogrant to
get into this lineup. And I really hope, like I know,
they're probably not gonna play yuarroovn Ogran at the same time,
So one of them, most likely Eurov, is going to
be in the press box tonight, which does upset me,
but you know it, it's still is an opportunity, and

(10:39):
I hope that they don't, you know, they get more
than seven minutes tonight on the fourth line between the
two of them, because I mean, I've been I get
the mc beckman when Pat mclaty comes in, but I
think a guy like Eurov who played really well and
showed a lot of promise in a league in the
KHL that's pretty damn good and is against grown men,
you know, it's not college that and Ogren who's been

(11:01):
playing well in the American League. It's easy to root
for those guys to kind of come up and get
because we need depth scoring. It can't just be all
on Caprice often Bowldi in that top line.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
You know, though, I'll say this much, both of them,
and speaking of Ogrin and you're of in particular, they
had an opportunity to grab a spot. They could have
been in the top six on opening night. Now it
doesn't matter even if you were cut like Hunter Hate.
You're cut going into game number one, that doesn't say
anything about game number two through eighty two. You can
be called up at any time, and especially the way

(11:31):
things were on this team in particular, it's a very
fluid situation. So I don't think you cast a spell
upon their entire career based on the fact that they're
not in the opening night lineup. But it's too bad
because you're of van Ogren. They were begging for them
to grab that second line spot.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
They didn't do enough.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
To grab it, and so now you got Marcus Felino
playing in the top six.

Speaker 7 (11:53):
I'm never afraid to be out on a limb and
be by myself with wild talkers, and it seems like
I'm even more so out on a limb for this one. Yeah,
I'm not sure that the preseason games are enough of
a look to give him.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I would have liked watching him in training camp.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
They're watching it's more than just those games that you
saw him in the preseason.

Speaker 7 (12:12):
I understand, And you see him in practice and you
see all twenty two or the All eleven whatever you
want to say.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (12:19):
I just I would have liked to at least see
him get a look in the regular season before you
just cut him off completely. But I get you can't
give up points, and I just don't buy that they
would be such a liability at that spot that you
would be giving away points to start the regular season.
But it's fine, it's not it's not a felony, it's
not a war crime. It's say it's a minor misdemeanor
and you'd let it go.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Things change real quick.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
I mean, I'm sure the plan was for Nicos Term
to be your fourth line center. We know how important
he was going to be to this lineup, and now
instead Hunter Hate gets to make his NHL debut.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
You know you're gonna get to.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
See Liam Ogrin tonight, Danila Eurov's day is coming.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
I just don't know that it's here yet. He looks
really green.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
And it's not even just the hockey, because I think
defensively he's not a liability. He just didn't produce any
type of a spark offensively. But once he gets comfortable
with his surroundings, this is a whole new world. For
this kid, He's twenty two years old, He's in a
new country, surrounded by people speaking weird language, and he's
just becoming comfortable with himself, let alone the hockey, which

(13:19):
he has to add on top of that. I think
at some point it's going to click for him. And
it took a long time for Juel Ricsinek. It took
a long time for Miko Koivu for crying out loud.
It's a different world coming over here from what you're
used to, and I think once it clicks, they're going
to be just fine.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 7 (13:35):
I'm not calling for year Off to activate his europe
clause and go back just because he didn't make the
opening night starting, you know lines, I would argue that
we have a lot of guys that don't show a
lot of offensive spark but are really responsible defensively, so
you fit right in. But still, I understand, I'm rich,
I'm not that hopin mad about it, all right.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
So wrong? No, you're no, You're You're definitely right in
Brett Blakemore's world.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
You are definitely on the money.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
We've got an action pack three hours coming your way,
and honestly, I could do three hours of hockey in
the middle of the summer, and I've done it. But
on Opening Night in particular, we're probably gonna put the
brakes on the football, the basketball, the baseball, the lacrosse,
the soccer. This is gonna be three hours of intense
hockey coverage because we're at Opening Night. We made it,

(14:22):
We made it through the offseason. I know the golfers
have already played. I know that you've got preseason hockey
under our belt, six games of preseason hockey. But now
what we're going to do is turn the page and
get ready for the regular season, because it begins in.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
For real tonight.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
Free game at six forty five FM, one hundred point
three the Fan live from Saint Louis. You're home for
all things Minnesota Wild hockey right here on kfa N.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
A great lineup coming your way.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
If you want to talk hockey, you'll get your opportunity.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Nine to thirty five.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
We've got Pat mcletty ten thirty five, Joe O'Donnell, the
Voice of the Minnesota Wild, ten fifty five, America's favorite blogger,
Michael Russe of the Athletic Intheathletic dot Com. And we're
gonna finish it off the way we've been doing, saluting
twenty five years of wild hockey. I'm calling him our
beyond the Pond NHL insider. Now Pat mcletty doesn't know this,

(15:11):
but this is the way it's gonna be. Cal Klutterbuck
is one of the big names in the history of
Minnesota wild hockey, and he'll join us at eleven thirty five.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
So talk about the state, the state of hockey. So
it should be fun.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
And then on top of all of that, you're like, Flounce,
don't do this to me. I can only take so much.
You're gonna give us hockey overload? Well too bad. So sad,
my friend. Because on top of all of that, I'm
also giving away tickets and that includes for the home
opener Saturday night in Saint Paul Wild Host and the
Columbus Blue Jackets. What an evening that's gonna be at

(15:46):
now Grand Casino Arena. You want tickets, This is your opportunity,
big boy. This is what I want. It couldn't be
any easier. I'm gonna ask for talkbacks. You can do
the texts and those are fun. I absolutely throw those
at me as well, but talkbacks would be my preference,
And we're gonna give away tickets because all you're gonna

(16:06):
do is give me some predictions, predictions for whatever you
want it to be. It can be real, it can
be funny, it can be anywhere in between. What do
you think of corollka Price offseason? What are you expecting
from him? How about the Minnesota Wild? Do they make
it out of the first round for the first time
in a decade?

Speaker 1 (16:23):
What do you feel about Marco Rossi?

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Is Brett Blake Moore ever gonna give up waving the
banner for the twenty twenty eight lineup? And can he
live in the here and now? Lots of things for
you to jump on board with, with your talkbacks and
your text whatever you may got. But we're giving away
tickets and you want to go down there and see
the Wild and Blue Jacket. It's gonna be a fun
night Saturday night in Saint Paul as they hopefully push

(16:47):
that record to to and oh so we got a
lot of great stuff coming your way. Don't go Anywhere continues.

Speaker 7 (16:52):
After a break on the fan before we go with
a fan of two men and a junk truck.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Want to give you a shot to win.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
Bonus box for the National Cash Contest at a cafe
in dot com. The keyword is great and keyword grand
KFA dot com keyword grand.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Hey boulder off up the line of league.

Speaker 6 (17:09):
I believe Forfriesa was going to hit one hundred point
threshold along with surpassing Gabrick by the time of Thanksgiving
for most goals in a single career, as well as
the Wild with the ross that they have, is going
to end up making it out of the second round.
And I'm going to be following Brett Blakemore here and
say that they are going to be needing to add

(17:30):
some youth to the lineup in order for that to happen.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Thank you for those talkbacks.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
Keep them rolling in and we'll play those sporadically throughout
the course of the next three hours. And we'll throw
some random tickets your way. I've got a handful. I
got to check my pocket. One, two, three, I got
a ton. I got a lot of tickets for Saturday
nights home opener in Saint Paul. You can get your
own tickets at Wild dot com slash tickets. Get on
down to except Oh gosh, I already did it, Old Habits.

(17:58):
That's four times now through the preseason that I've I've
made that slip up. It's hard to get used to
a Grand Casino arena. I think it will happen. The
problem is, you know, twenty five years of saying the
other arena name, it's hard to get out of your brain. Well,
you still sponsors the power play, can't.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Say the sponsor.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
Yeah, the big save of the game in the postgame show.
But yeah, it's hard to break those habits. So anyway,
keep those coming in. We've got to. We'll throw those
at you as we go throughout the course of the program.
Also got a couple of tickets from Monday Night game
number two on home ice when the Wild host the
La Kings. Great schedule to start the season, So again,

(18:37):
get on down to Grand Casino Arena, Wild dot com
slash tickets get your yours. Today I was thinking, I
love listening to common Man Brett, and he does a
great bit with the the Wheel of Topics. It just
feels like that thing always stops on his golf game,
and I think what needs to happen is I took

(18:59):
it upon myself over the last few days to get
in there and tinker with it and I'm not the
most handiest of people. Like when I deal, I can't do.
I did change the light bulb on my car, which
I'm actually very proud of. Yeah, I had to disconnect
some stuff and put some things in and press this
button and I got it in there, and I can
do real minor repairs. But I got If there's a

(19:20):
YouTube tutorial, you're in I actually yeah, I mean that's
the best thing that ever had.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
That and GPS, Like.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
I couldn't drive anywhere without GPS, and I can't fix
anything without YouTube, So I've definitely used that stuff. I
got in there and I looked up some directions on
his wheel of topic and I messed around with a
little bit. Why don't you see what you come up with.
I hope I fixed it right because I love hearing
about commons golf game. But you want to hear about
that from nine to noon or maybe you do. But

(19:48):
let's hear what the wheel of topic sounds like. Now, yeah,
we can spin it. What if it just lends on
commons golf? Oh I got to talk about weren't there?

Speaker 8 (20:01):
We'll have to ask him Minnesota wild Oh, oh.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Really funny, And it weren't to see and I didn't
even use YouTube for that. I got out my ranch
and my plier's thingy and I got in there and
I were slot all right, So Minnesota Wild, I'm excited
about the season.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
I'm going to.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
Predict third place and we'll get into predictions later as well.
But when I think about predictions and that guy was
talking about Carell capriceov, I want to see seventy games
from number ninety seven, and if he gets there, he'll
break the one hundred point mark, no doubt about it.
If I put his over under at forty five goals,
you've taken over or under.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
It's seventy games played. I feel like you have to
go with the over. I think you do too.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
Yeah, he was so electric that I mean, I think
people forget because that you know, you see the Texters.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Go he's injury prone.

Speaker 7 (20:51):
Oh so, I'm like, did you watch the form that
he was in at the beginning of last year.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
It was electric. It's hard to bet against him. He
was an MVP candidate in December before he went down,
and you know, ultimately this half the season, he very
much was And you talk about a guy that was
for the most part carrying a team, I mean Carell
Caprice Off, and that's I think another reason why John
Hines should have been a candidate for a Coach of

(21:17):
the Year without Carill capriceof jul Rik Sinek. You know,
look at the guy Jared Spurge and Jonas Berudin. Without
those guys in the lineup, he still managed to get
him into the playoffs. I know it took down to
the final seconds of the regular season literally to get
exactly to get that those that X by their name,
but he got him there, and I think that says

(21:37):
something for what they were able to accomplish. But again,
back to the point of Carell capriceoff, I think forty
five goals on hundred points is not fairy tale at all.

Speaker 7 (21:46):
Do you think I feel like Boldy and him need
to split at some point, probably when Zucarello comes back,
because you can't have that. You can't put your eggs
all in one basket for that long. You can to
start like they will now, and I think it's fine.
Don't you think they need to split up eventually?

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Most likely?

Speaker 4 (22:04):
And they probably will because you're you're going to have
most likely you get again, we're talking in theory, but
when Matt's Zucarello is at full strength. There's something special
about that bond between Caprisof and Zucarello that said, this
can be a real impressive trio with Caprisof and Boldie.
I get what you're saying, spread the wealth and all

(22:24):
that stuff, and Boldi and Ick play very well together
as well. But there's something special between Zucarello and Capriceof.
And if Zukearella can get back to one hundred percent
and they can get that chemistry going, I think that's
great to talk about again in theory. But if something
sparks here and you're able to ride the twenty three

(22:45):
ninety seven twelve train, I think you read that all
the way home. How much did you fix the wheel?
Can we spin it again?

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Spin it again? Okay? I tried.

Speaker 4 (22:53):
I think I did my best, But like I said, I'm.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Not the handiest.

Speaker 8 (22:55):
All right, Let Tapia second pop Kirol Kaprizov's contract extension.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
Oh my god, I can't believe I got this thing
to work. Common's gonna be I hope I didn't break
it for Common, because that's kind of a thing. If
if he doesn't get to talk about his golf game
I'm gonna be in some serious drug. It's going to
be a lot more puck talk to three. Apparently that
was an interesting pronunciation of Carill Caprisov. Yeah, but uh
full proof. Let's start with you. You handle this one.

(23:32):
The Carill caprisovs contract. I know it's been a hot topic,
hot button topic here the last few days, especially with
Nickdavid signing for twelve and a half, Michael and Kyle
Connor both coming in well under the seventeen million for
Carill CAPRICEO.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Did they overpay for number ninety seven?

Speaker 7 (23:49):
I don't think they did, because you have to think,
and this is purely speculation. You have to think some
other teams were talking in theophanos as he are, saying,
hey we'll pay you nineteen. Hey we'll top that. We'll
go even more pure speculation. But that's just what I'm assuming,
because that's how good capriceof is.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
You have to play.

Speaker 7 (24:09):
This is the price of superstars and keeping them on
your team. And I get the obvious. Come back to
that book and what Nick David did, and he took
a team friendly deal. I promise you if they don't
win a Cup in those two years or three years,
he's getting paid more than Caprice off and.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Someone might find a coup.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
He gave him hisself an opportunity to bail out of
Edmonton in two years if he doesn't like the direction.
I can't speak on behalf of Caroll capriceof and why
it took seventeen million at eight years and seventeen million
to get him locked down. I can speak from what
I think the philosophy is for Bill Garren, Craig Leopold,
and the rest of the group that made the decision

(24:48):
to pay him that much he couldn't afford not to.
I mean, that would have been catastrophic for this franchise
if they don't lock him up at whatever price it took,
just because of the fact.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
That he's a once, not even a one.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
He's a generational type of talent, and we see that
here in Minnesota. I love me some Marion Gabrick. He's
heads and shoulders above Marion Gabrick and what he can do.
He's a top five player in the game today and
you don't just if God forbid he walked, that would
have been catastrophic. That would have been a wrecking ball
right through the franchise. But even if you trade him,
you're not going to get anything in return in what

(25:25):
he can do for your team.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
They had to do it at whatever cost it took,
and it could have been worse.

Speaker 4 (25:31):
Seventeen million is not an easy pill to swallow. But
now he's locked up for the next eight years, and
who knows how the salary cap structure is going to
go over the next few seasons. It's going up, that's
the best part about it. And maybe this will be
a little easier to swallow in year two, three and four.
You want to spend one more time, you better hurry. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
I really don't know where.

Speaker 4 (25:59):
Brett's golf game'd be right.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Obviously I didn't fix it well enough. Tell me about
your golf habits.

Speaker 7 (26:08):
I got to tell you we're not with common last week,
I have the common yeps, Okay, I can't. I'll shoot
mid eighties to low eighties. Ye by myself or with randoms.
I get out with Common. Yeah, try to too much pressure.
Try to get out on it and try to like
I'm telling you, I've improved. I'll go after it, start
duck hooking it, and then it all goes it all
goes to hell.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Does he make fun of you or does he have
fun with it? Oh?

Speaker 7 (26:30):
If I could golf like you, I wouldn't. Yeah, and
then the pressure builds yep, and then it's over. Yeah,
I'll tell you this much.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
I got invited out to Minneapolis golf course about a
week ago, and I engulfed there in like thirty forty years.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
It was fine.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
I played well the front nine, in the back, and
then I fell apart. But I will say, I think
it's whole number four, number five on the street that
aligns the I think it's Texas on your way to
the sing Lois Park Middle School. I hit my iron
as perfect does I could. I thought I was short.
I was two feet past the pin. I mean, but

(27:05):
the problem is and again yawn sound effect. My my
backspin took me six feet to the right. I missed
the birdie putt. That was really annoying. So I tried.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
I was gonna fine. I'll hear this. Yeah, it's Suckt's.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Pat Mcallty being very patient as we wait to kid
him a call.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
National Hockey League predictions.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
Oh okay, I can't believe it. So I go in
there night Tinker. It's supposed to be all wild stuff,
and they threw in some NHL. I'm really good at
fixing these machines.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Your predictions, how about your prediction?

Speaker 4 (27:46):
You know what, I watched a couple of games last night,
and I was so excited for you know, I know
Opening Night was two nights ago, but last night the
Battle of Alberta I got to see, uh the other
game two I sat and watched.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
I think it was Kings and Vegas.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
If I'm not misting, two really good hockey games, Both
go to overtime, both end up in the shootout. So
I'm up til almost midnight watching these games come to
their conclusion, and one of them went like seven rounds.
I think it was the Calgary Edmonton but just phenomenal hockey.
Seeing these teams back on the ice, it's hard to
pick against Florida and it's hard to pick against Edmonton.

(28:20):
The problem with Edmonton still, I'm not sold on their goaltending.
Problem with Florida for me is Barkov's out half the season,
if not more than, probably nine months out of the year.
But that's still a loaded lineup through the two time
defending Cup champs.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Hard to go against Edmonton Florida. How about you?

Speaker 7 (28:36):
I feel like you gotta go with the Oilers. I
mean they it's the third time the charm. It's just
when you make a deal like that. If you're McDavid,
you're you know, putting your you know what on the
table and saying this is the time or else. Basically,
So it's hard to go with either of them. Unfortunately,
even Colorado could be in the mess. Colorado's gonna be
so good.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Yeah, and then honestly, McKinnon mccarr, I mean they still
got the same like they don't have rant, but Natchez
had a couple of goals on their opening night. I
mean they're going to be the Central Division. And then
you look at the teams that are coming up from
the bottom, and that includes in the Pacific. Now, I
don't know that I would think of San Jose as
a world beater yet Anaheim. But Anaheim's an up and
coming team. San Jose still has Maclin Celebrini. I mean

(29:18):
there's something I guess the salary captus doesn't apply to them.
If they go get Mitch Marner and they understand Jack Eicel,
I don't know how where their money comes from. Yeah,
you know, another team to think about is Utah Utah
is another team that's bubbling out there, so we got
to get to break.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
We're really late.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
I don't I hate keeping Pat mccletty waiting, but that yeah,
I know, keep those talkbacks coming though, we're going to
use them throughout the course of the show. We've got
tickets that we're giving away to opening the home opener
come Saturday, when the Wild hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets.
You'll catch all the action not only then, but also
tonight when the Wild traveled to Saint Louis to drop

(29:52):
the puck on game number one of eighty two. Talkbacks
and Pat mcletty when we continue on the FANN.

Speaker 9 (30:12):
It will be say ball and I appreciate you guys
doing the hockey cock. So as far as this season goes,
I mean, last season, we had one of the most
electric playoffs efforts I've ever seen.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
I honestly thought we were winning it.

Speaker 9 (30:22):
Parksy was doing incredible. I just can't believe we're niquist
put away from probably winning that series.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
So the fact that that.

Speaker 9 (30:30):
Effort was incredible should showed me that this season is
going to be a fun one.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Guys.

Speaker 9 (30:34):
We got KK signed, We had a great top line.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Our depth is a little questionable.

Speaker 9 (30:38):
We need the young guys to step up.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
Let's go. Man.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
I love that talk back, except for the fact that
they picked an old scab that off sides by Gustav Nyclist.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
You really had to bring that up once again.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
Man, that wound had just healed and you just took
a fork and you just stabbed it open once again. Unfortunately,
that's not a great memory. Great memories from last season.
Hopefully lots of great memories coming from this season as well.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
Keep those talkbacks coming.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
Giving away tickets get your own at wild dot com,
slash tickets to the full mines we go, and my
buddy Pat mcletty, my co host, I'm beyond the pod,
nice enough to.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Give us a little bit of his time.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Patrick, Hello, good morning, and welcome to the regular season.
In terms of the National Hockey League.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
Finally right, it's about time. Watch that Los Angeles Vegas
game last night and a lot of goals scored.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Kevin there was.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
Yeah, it's very interesting to watch these teams compete, I
was telling Brett, I sat up and I watched both
of the late games, including the Battle of Alberta. Phenomenal
hockey back and forth, the Flames battle back from a
three zero deficit. Both games go to overtime and we
end up in a shootout. In both contests, one of
them went seven rounds.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
Yeah, Edmonton is up three to nothing in that game. Also,
you know, yeah, phenomenal go figure.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
Right, Yeah good. I do want to get to the NHL.
I want to talk about the Minnesota while but I
have to since we got you on and a lot
of this is going to be the National.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Hockey League over the next two and a half hours.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
I did want to talk about the Gophers as I'd
flip on my level television this past weekend and I
see you and the great Frank Mozaco on my television screen.
I know it culminated in a split with Michigan Tech,
but how fun was it to not only be back
on television calling your favorite hockey team, but working alongside
the phenomenal mister Frank Mozaco.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
Yeah it was a break half Frank, and you know,
Jim was on assignment with the with the Vikings, and
and you know it's like Frank didn't miss the beat.
He had he had all the TV game in eight years.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Amazing And you know Frank and.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
I have worked on the radio side together and so
you know we kind of had some camaraderie and rhythm
and all of that. But yeah, it was, uh, it
was it was great. He did a great job and
you know, it was.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
A it was a fun weekend that was behind the
TV screen on the ice we see the go for
split with Michigan Tech.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
What'd you take from the series?

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Well, you never know going into the season, Kevin, what
you're going to get. You know, you've got, you know,
a bunch of new kids coming in and you look
at their stats and you look at you know, you
just read read, read, and it's all on paper and
it looks good, but you don't know until you see it.
And so excuse me from for Minnesota. You know, they're young,

(33:41):
they're gonna they're gonna take their lumps, and they're gonna
give their lumps, and so this early in the season,
it's really you know, you have to be patient, uh
with with their progression. They may take two steps forward
one step back, but by that's the case in college

(34:02):
hockey throughout you know, every team, to be quite honest.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
Well, but for Bob Motskow, the best part about it,
and I know they lost a ton of firepower. I've
seen the numbers and it's crazy to think about the
amount of firepower that left this team from last year
to this year. But when you're the Minnesota Golden Gophers
and you have the ability to pull guys in like
Bob Motskow does, you don't rebuild. I mean, I know
it's a cliche, but this is what the Golden Gophers are.

(34:28):
You don't rebuild, you just reload. So how good will
this team be? The latest polls have them at twelfth
in the nation. Do you buy into that? Are they
too low? Is it about right? Or should they be higher?

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Well, again, if you asked me that question in January,
I'll give you a definitive answer. Right now, it's just unknown.
The good thing is their schedule starting tonight with Boston College,
North Dakota the next weekend, UMD the following weekend, and

(35:03):
then Wisconsin on the road. We'll tell you something and
it's gonna make them grow up in you know, quite
a hurry, if you will. So, you know, we're just
gonna have to see how these guys develop. I mean,
they're a solid team. There's no question they've got good
goaltending a little young on the decor, but you know,

(35:29):
we're just gonna have to wait and see how it
all plays out.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Again.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
It might be pretty early then to talk about the
conference as a whole. But again, going by the polls,
Michigan State ranked number two behind Western Michigan, Penn stayed
up to number four, Michigan at ninth. The conference obviously
has evolved into a national power How do you see
it breaking down? And I feel like the Big Ten
is to the Gophers what the Central Division is for

(35:53):
the Minnesota Wild I'll tell.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
You what I did. I could give my power rankings
for the Big and Network beautiful couple of days ago,
and I went Michigan State, Penn State, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, Wisconsin,
and Norre Dame in that order. Now come January, that

(36:16):
could be flipped. I think the Big Ten conference this
year is going to be so tight. I don't think
you'll see if any suites on the road this year
by any team. I just think the parody throughout the
conference is going to be It's going to be really difficult.

Speaker 4 (36:36):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to that schedule you alluded to it.
I was just checking that out. I didn't realize how
big it is coming up the home against Boston College
and that's tonight, right tonight, and tomorrow followed a series
at North Dakota, then home against Minnesota Duluth and you
get to see your buddy Scott Sandlin before heading into
Big ten play. That's three weeks of really exciting hockey,

(36:59):
whether you're in Graham or at three and Marine at Mariucci.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Uh, for sure. And you know, I think Bob said
the schedule up thinking he's gonna have smatterod Renzell, uh,
Connor Kurth or more. You know, those guys all could
have keep back and they all signed good for them.
So it's going to be a test. And but but
you know what, to beat the best, you got to

(37:24):
beat the best. You gotta beat the best, and you
will learn what you got to do. He'll know more
about his team, and you know, so uh, they can
win them all and you know you'll be happy they
could lose them all and you learn a lot and
realize what you got to work on to get better.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
Of course it's the voice of the Great Pat Mcaletty
joining us here, filling in for Paul Allen on nine
to noon. Thanks for listening. Lots of hockey talk, and
of course, uh we're getting back to the NHL. But
since Ron the Gophers here, Patrick, I got to bring
up Jackson look home. I mean, a lot of these
Gophers are gonna get paid as they turn pros. But man,
oh man, Jackson Leacombe is a beast and he got paid.

(38:04):
How he squeezed that much money out of Pat Verbek,
I don't know. But he's going to be a force
along the blue line for the Anaheim Ducks.

Speaker 3 (38:12):
And you know, the thing is, there were a lot
of question marks about him his rookie year. You know,
they were not sure that he was going to be
able to play, you know, at this level, at a
high level, and they just stuck with him, and you know,
sure enough, he played. You know, I think it was
just a matter of him getting comfortable. And once he
got comfortable, did he ever take off? He was He

(38:34):
was just fantastic a year ago for the Ducks and
now he's a cornerstone of that franchise. Then, you know, Kevin,
I think back when we were doing Beyond the Pond,
and you know, I was touting brought favor maybe for
the Holy Baker, and Faber interrupted me and said, hey,

(38:55):
you know you're talking about me, you better start talking
about Jackson. Look home, because this kid is unbelievable and
sure enough, good for.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Him, yeah, no doubt about it. Good stuff.

Speaker 4 (39:08):
He gets a giant contract, but it looks like peanuts
compared to what Caroll caa Priceoff got. As we make
our way over to the National Hockey League and the
Minnesota Wild Opening night coming up tonight in Saint Louis
for the Wild game number one of eighty two, and
that's the big talker around NHL circles, certainly here in Minnesota.
The worry is put to rest. Carill caa Prisov is

(39:30):
here for the long haul. But the Wild had to
pay the tookst contract in the in NHL history, seventeen
seventeen million dollars a year for eight years, while McDavid, O'Connor,
icel they all signed for significantly less. What do you
say to those who say Bill garn and the Wild
overpaid for Caroll Caprisov, Well.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Look at it. McDavid signed for two years, right, so
he's really given Edmonton two years to win the Cup.
They were close and they're right on the doorstep. And
for I believe Minnesota had to do this. I mean,
there's no question. Because they don't sign them, then they're

(40:11):
going to trade them. And typically what happens you end
up losing in the trade.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
They would have got pleaced.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Go back, go back to the Gretzky trade from Edmonton
to lau. You know that was not a good trade
for the Edmonton Oilers. They and what they got in return.
You know, I go back, I can look it up,
but I know Jimmy Carson was one of the guys,
and you know a few others. But you know to

(40:37):
me that that didn't make sense. They they had to
sign Carill the priests offt It's unfortunate the amount, but
they had to do it. They had to do it.

Speaker 4 (40:49):
Yeah, it would have It would have destroyed the franchise
if they saw at number ninety seven God forbid leave
like Gabrick did. But even if you trade them like
you said, I thought the Fialla for a favor and
ogre In trade ended up working really well for both teams.
But I mean, Caprisov is on a on a on
a different stratosphere, and to think that you're going to
get anything close to Carol Caprisov in return for in

(41:11):
a trade, You're just you're you're out of your mind.
So I do I. They had to do it. They
got it done, and that's the best part about it.
So you come into a new season.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
Go right, what's done is done, and and I'm sure
you know Bill Garon and his staff have a plan
going forward. And then thank god, it's with Caprisoft.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
It is.

Speaker 4 (41:32):
And he had one hell of a year last season
before he left with injury. Uh MVP caliber season up
until he got injured in December and then this half
the year. But that said, he looks fantastic in preseason hockey,
look great through training camp.

Speaker 1 (41:47):
He's ready to go.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
Unfortunately, two or three other key pieces are not. No
Matt's Zucarello, Nico Sturmps. Say whatever you want about him
being a fourth line center, he was going to provide
a very valuable role within this team in winning face
offs and on the penalty kill and then the Jonas
Brodein probably in the lineup tonight, but still a question
mark throughout the course of most of training camp. That's

(42:08):
kind of the cloud of the silver lining here. Going
into the regular season, the injury bug is already prevalent.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
Yeah, and they started out the year relatively healthy last
year and had a great start and you know which
really I didn't want to say solidify their playoffs, but
but really put them in a good position to make
the playoffs. And they did always critical to get off
to a great start, Kevin, And unfortunately, you know it's

(42:39):
gonna be without three regulars. So what does that mean.
You know, these young kids are going to get a chance,
and you know everyone's been begging for these young kids
to get a chance. Well now they're now, they're going
to get it, and let's let's hope that they provide something.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
It's too bad.

Speaker 4 (42:58):
I was talking with you with your buddy Brett blakemore
Nick Michael during the course of the first track he
got He did get a heck of a contract. But
we were talking about the fact that Ogrin and Europe
had an opportunity to steal their fate as a member
of the top six in this lineup.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
It didn't come to fruition.

Speaker 4 (43:17):
They didn't show enough in the in training camp or
during the preseason action. So unfortunately, it looks like eurov
is going to be the odd man out tonight, Ogrian's
going to play on the fourth line, most likely with
Hunter eight, and instead it'll be Marcus Felino elevated to
a top six role. It's too bad. As much as
we want to see these young faces, doesn't sound.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
Like they were ready to make that leap just yet.

Speaker 3 (43:38):
Yeah, you know, I think you know the case with
ear Off. I think you're just going to bring them
along slowly and let him get used to North American
hockey and you know, put him in situations where he
can succeed. That's my guess. I don't know their thought process,

(43:59):
but that's what I'm guessing. You know, it's a lot.
This is Game one and he's sitting out game one.
It's not the biggest thing in the deal in the world.
I think ultimately he will get his chance, and we
know what injuries Kevin and you know, there's just a
lot going on. So I wouldn't uh, I wouldn't worry

(44:21):
too much about that.

Speaker 4 (44:22):
How about on that blue line, you've probably seen as
much as Zebuiam as anyone around here. Uh A star
for the University of Denver or Denver University, I should say,
d u Uh and then of course, you know, on
the world stage doing great things for the Red, White
and Blue. Comes in, makes his NHL debut during the
playoffs last year and now will make his regular season
debut tonight in Saint Louis, and it looks like he's

(44:43):
going to be paired with the captain, probably quarterbacking the
power play. You talk about a guy with huge upside.
They are very excited about the new number eight.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
I think we all should be. I mean, he's got
he's got a lot of talent, he believes in himself.
U I will say, Kevin, if there's one area that
concerns me going forward with this team is they have
to stay healthy on the blue line because there's not
a lot of depth there. There's a lot of youth there,
and you know that scares me a little bit. I

(45:18):
would not rush Rodin back in the lineup until I
know he's one hundred percent healthy. Uh. You know, we
saw what happened with Spurgeon last year and and so
but yes, back to William, He's going to get his
opportunity and you know, we got we have to live
with some of the early mistakes he might make, but

(45:38):
his upside is very High.

Speaker 4 (45:40):
Give me your predictions for the while this season. I'm
on record saying I think they finished in the top
three in the Central Division. I think they make it
into the playoffs. I think they u and then who
knows what happens from there. This is going to be
just a ridiculous Central Division. The Western Conference is going
to be a monster as well. And then to ultimately
win the Grand Prize, man, it's it's going to take

(46:00):
a monumental effort. But at the very least I think
the Wild get to the third spot in the Central
behind Dallas and Colorado.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
What about you, Patrick, what are you what are you
predicting for the home team?

Speaker 3 (46:13):
Well, my prediction is if with a healthy team they
make the playoffs, any type of significant injury to any
of their defensemen or even a you know, a top
forward like a Bowl the year for Presoffer Actor uh any,
they're they're they're just too thin there in my opinion,

(46:36):
So you know, they stay healthy, they're in any any
type of injury.

Speaker 4 (46:40):
They're not putting the over under for Prey. Yeah, yeah,
I think that's very fair. I mean, look at what
it did to him last year. And again I.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
Make the the.

Speaker 4 (46:50):
The argument that John Hines should have been a candidate
for Coach of the Year for what he did in
the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
One one one thing, and and and and this is
regarding John Hines and his staff and their ability. If
you think of some of the games that they played
last year, how shorthanded they were and battled and won.
They don't quit no matter who is in the lineup,

(47:18):
so you have to take that into consideration. Also when
kind of looking at this team, they play hard all
the time.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
Last one for you, well, actually two more. I want
to get back to Caprisa for a second. We put
the over under at forty five goals and one hundred points.
I think we're both Brett and I are leaning towards
the over in both categories. How about you forty five goals,
one hundred points if he plays at least seventy.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
Games, Yeah, absolutely, yes.

Speaker 4 (47:46):
Okay, what about tonight they get to open up in
Saint Louis Again, I talk about Colorado, I talk about Dallas.
To me, that's the class of the Central Division. But
that's not a slight to Saint Louis. We know how
tough they are night in and night out, and I'm
sure it'll be no different tonight. What should we expect
tonight as the Wild drop the puck on Game number one?

Speaker 3 (48:06):
Well, Saint Louis might have the best coach in the
league in Jim Montgomery. He is he is, he is
fabulous as a head coach. That team they're playing tonight
is a very very solid team. Not a great team. Uh,
you know it's it's a They're a lot like the Wild.

(48:27):
To be quite honest with you, I think it's going
to be a good game. I hope Jimmy snuggerud gets
two goals, but I hope the Wild get three.

Speaker 4 (48:37):
I like it and if I can make one more,
if we're gonna make, please, I would really like to
see Ryan Hartman and Jordan Bennington finally go toe to
toe and just get it out of their system, don't
you think?

Speaker 3 (48:48):
Sure? Why not?

Speaker 5 (48:49):
You know?

Speaker 3 (48:50):
Have some fun?

Speaker 4 (48:51):
Absolutely, Patrick, It's always fun to hear your voice. I
can't wait till we get back on the air for
Beyond the Pond. Who knows, maybe we'll have some Wild
fan lines coming up. You know what, anything's on the
table as we open up the new regular season.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Whatever you need, Kevin, I'm here for you.

Speaker 4 (49:06):
Are you on the radio tonight. I should have asked
you that with the another match.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
I am off tonight and we will be on Fox
nine plus five point thirty three game six o'clock start
tomorrow night.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
I can't wait. I will be in front of my TV.

Speaker 4 (49:19):
I will have my eyeballs next to the TV screen,
listening to and watching every word that comes out of
both you and Jim Rich as we watch another season
of Golden Gopher Hockey. Thank you, sir, thank you. That
is the great Pat mccletty joining us here nine to
noon on FM one hundred point three The Fan. We
got one hour in the books, but a whole another

(49:40):
couple of hours coming your way, including it more trips
to Saint Louis the Voice of the Minnesota While Joe
O'Donnell joins us next hour. Michael Russo joins us about
one hour from now, and we'll wrap things up with
Cale Clutterbuck and for'm remember of the Minnesota Wild now
working for the New York Islanders and on their television broadcast.
So he's going to be our NHL in But when

(50:00):
we continue, we're going to talk about the World Juniors.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
Dave Fisher next on the Fan
