(01:39):
five three four on.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
The fan time now four.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
Five questions, well, actually three, but five sounds like more
than four.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Question number one programming.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
It, by the way, doing the old programming predicament bit
because I would have to find that.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I don't know if you have, like a new show
or something, I'd.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Like to do it. Anyway, it's always a good bit.
If you can't find it, that's okay, hold on.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
So yeah, the Wolves are in New York to take
on Bodega Cat and the Knicks in a preseason game
tonight at six thirty pm.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
You can watch it on NBA TV.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Of course, you can listen to it on the Wolves
station on the iHeartRadio app. The Wild begin the regular
season Tony tonight in Saint Louis.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
At seven pm.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
You can watch it on Fanbuel Sports Network, or you
can listen to it right here on the fan and
on the iHeart Radio app. There's two NLDS playoff games.
The Dodgers host the Phillies at five pm and the
Cubs host the Brewers at eight pm, both games on
TBS and True TV. And then the New York Giants
hosts the Philadelphia Eagles for a little Thursday night football
that's at seven fifteen pm on Prime TV. So common,

(02:53):
what are you gonna do about tonight's programming predicaments.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Let's think about it just for a second. That's long enough.
Here's what I'm doing tonight.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
It doesn't.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Take ninety eight episodes over three years. Deuce calls it
Gigans Island. That's what the kids called anti Jelligan's the Jigans.
Duce out of town. He's in Madison. The company sent
them there on some type of seminar to learn the
electricity business. Nega trama to that whole thing, so he

(03:26):
won't be home. I love I love Bodega Cat, but
it is pre season. I might I might give the
wild a few minutes. See if they can impress me.
I'm not easily impressed in to be as you know.
And uh, the MLB U Philadelphia staved off elimination yesterday

(03:47):
by beating the Dodgers, and then the Brewers or the
Cubs did the same against the Brewers. They're both after
falling behind two games to none, they both were able
to win.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
My Yankees are done.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Yankees lose, and then the Tigers in Seattle that's tomorrow.
That's that's too too. This is somebody Hill will be eliminated.
But I might, how might just bounce around a little bit,
watch a little odiss a little of.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
That, maybe get like six televisions on.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Yeah, well we we do that with the NFL.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
I do have a couple of crossword puzzles I still
have to do too, so I got plenty to keep
me occupied.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I'm guessing the bitterness is worn offor remember last year
in the preseason was it the preseason or regular seat?
That was preseason when the Wolves played New York at
New York and that was right after obviously the big
Meow slash Bodega Cat trade. We had Julius Randam and
Dante ven Devintenda. Wasn't he like talking smack while he's

(04:39):
at the free throw line. Yeah, so maybe maybe that
bitterness returns and gives you a reason.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
To tune in tonight.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
But I would just like to see, you know me,
I just like doing the bit where we didn't need
Bodega Cat because I did.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Like Bodega Cat.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I still do.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
I did like him, And you.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Know, I guess all in all, I mean, we went
to the Western Conference Finals with them on the team
two years ago, and we went to the Western Conference Finals.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Without them last year.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
So I guess you could say to this point the
trade just to push right. It didn't get us any
didn't get us any better than we were the year before.
As far as the final outcome, losing in the Western
Conference Final.

Speaker 6 (05:19):
Question number two and now it's time to go.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
In the trenches.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
The Belichick experiment in North Carolina is off to a
disastrous start, but no one appears ready to pull the
plug just yet. Amid numerous reports that Belichick and North
Carolina were engaged in negotiations to lower the coaches buy
out after a dismal start to his tenure in Chapel Hill,
Belichick and the school released a joint statement last night
Countering those claims, Belichick said the statement quote, I'm fully

(05:52):
committed to UNC football in the program we're building here.
Athletics director Bubba Cunningham added that Belichick had quote the
full support of the UNC administration. Belichick's Tar Heels are
off to a two and three start to the season,
losing all three of their games versus power for competition
by a combined one twenty to thirty three common How

(06:12):
do you how long do you think Bill Belichick will
last at North Carolina?

Speaker 4 (06:16):
My guess is he'll get if.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
It continues like this, he'll get bored in a real hurry.
I want to ask you a question, because I'm not
paying his close attention to Bill Belichick's career as I
once did. Why did he I mean, isn't his girlfriend
like a college student?

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Is that true?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Is I think she's like mid twenties, Yeah, and so
like and she goes.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
To school there? Yeah, baby school or something?

Speaker 3 (06:38):
Is that the reason he took the I mean, did
he not have any offers in the NFL or any
of their college offers?

Speaker 4 (06:44):
What was it that other than hers I would attract?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
My guess is he didn't have NFL offers?

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Yeah, that would be it.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
So, yeah, I took the money and ran once.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
The coach always a coach, I guess.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
I mean, I wouldn't think he's he needs a paycheck
and you know he's got the rings. His legacy is intact.
I guess he just he loves the game of football, so.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Good luck to him. But yeah, I would think I think.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
His legacy though, is what's tarnish starting to go down
and go the wrong way?

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, I would say it's tarnish some, but he's still
you can't take the rings away from unless you do
it at gunpoint. But otherwise than that, he's he's got
the rings. So I would think he would get bored
after a while. I mean, I gotta think you're standing
on the sideline of North Carolina getting it handed to
and you're going I remember when I used to win
big games, me and Tom, and now you're.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Just doing this. I just think after a while, he well,
I ask it, I'm home.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
So question number three and now it's time to go.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
In the trenches.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Let's go to the professional level.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
In the fourteen team NFL playoff era, we haven't had
one division get all four teams in the postseason, but
we have been closed the AFC West and NFC North.
He's put three in the playoffs last season, and right
now then it's North has four teams that are five
hundred or better. The NFC West has three teams over
five hundred with the Cardinals and fourth at two and

(08:07):
three common. Will this be the year that one division
gets all four teams into the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Unlikely, just because of the odds. Yeah, I would, you know.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
At the beginning of the season, I always said, if if
there was a division that would do it, it would
have been it would have been the NFC North. But
I'm not so sure because of the injury riddled vikings,
the lack of any real progress. As a matter of
fact of anything, there's been no progress for McCarthy at all,
and I think he's going to be the guy. So
until we see some progress there, maybe get healthy. I
don't know if the Bikers are going to make the playoffs.
I certainly hope they do. Then you got the Bears,

(08:45):
what I don't you know? The Bears, I'm not so sure.
I you know, the Calibilliams had the one really nice game,
but I don't know which team. Do you say, as
is the other team right now has.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
The NFC West. The Cardinal are two and three, but
the rest of the division is in Those are all
quality clubs.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
I would I guess if I was a betman if
I don't think it's going to happen, but if it did,
I would.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Think it would probably be the NFC West.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Question number three, I still have to put production behind
this open, but we'll play it anyway.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
It's now time to gauge the temper of the Tommys.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Of the Tommy Yeah going into its first season eligible
for the division.

Speaker 7 (09:32):
Is the temperature of the Tommy Temper of the Tommy
tamp of the Tommies going into its first season eligible
for the Division one postseason the same time as men's
basketball team was predicted to finish first in a poll
released on Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
The Tommy has received seventeen first place votes and five
hundred and one points in the Summit League preseason poll
of coaches. Omaha was second and South Dakota State third.
Tommy sophomore guard Nolan Minasal was voted as the preseason
Player of the Year, and Tommy's junior Carter Bierkei was
named to the All seven League preseason first.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Team last season?

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Wasn't he the Berki guy?

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (10:07):
I think he was.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
Last season, the Tommy's went twenty four and ten and
reached the sueven League championship game, where they lost to
Omaha eighty seven seventy five common. Will the Tommies make
the dance this upcoming March?

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Does a summon league get an automatic berth Yes?

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Well then, yeah, they weren't eligible fortnight, but now they are.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
Right, Well, then I think if they're predicted to be first.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
I'm not following Summit League basketball in general and specifically
Saint Thomas basketball.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
We'll see as I once did, so I'll just go
with the experts.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
I'll say that if they're pretty good to win the division,
the conference, or the league, I think they'll win the
league and that means they'll get that burst. So I say,
go Tommy's checking the temperatures of the Tommies.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
We'll come in.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
It's red hum, It's ninety eight.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
That's it for today's edition of five questions, Well, actually
three questions, but five sounds like more than four.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Very controversial, pressure are packed, high intensity, five three four,
Well done, Tennabee A good set of questions for today
other side of the break more controversial vikings news. Right
now though, Tennabee has a keyword in our national cash contest.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Yeah, the fan and two men in a junk truck.
They want to give you a shot to win bonus
bucks with their National Cash Contest and to the keyword
dollar at kiff in dot com now free shadow of winning.
The keyword is dollar under now kiff in dot com.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
In Minneapolis, it's time to put your baggy sweatshirt on
and get ready to comedy. I con Adam Sandler is
bringing is You're My Best Friend Tour to the Grand
Casino Arena on October twenty second. Tell miss out on
brand new jokes, classic bets, all the class, maybe even
a song or two.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Tickets are on.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Sale now get the full details at KFA dot com
keyword calendar.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
In that legendary false settle that he does like you,
Ken Harley, wait, it sounds like he has you know
is you know? Pa has his top ten friends list?
At least he used to be. Yet he actually would
he ranked his friends and maybe you know usually I
I ranked things in which the order they were received,

(12:33):
like phone calls. Apparently Pa ranks his friends. It sounds
like Adam Sandler says everybody's his best friend. He doesn't
even my ranking system. Everybody's there, so good for Adam Sandler.
You might remember ten to be I think it was
back in August. Took a couple of days off to
do some golfing, and I received that phone call that
was to change my life.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
I know somebody, I'll.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Get a call in which I don't know who it's
coming from, when it's coming to, what it's going to
be about, but it's going to change my life. And
this is the one where, if you remember, the guy
said that I had been selected to win eight point
five million dollars five hundred thousand dollars in cash in
a new twenty twenty five Mercedes Benz, and he wanted
me to call.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
And what I did.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
All they wanted from me tenant to get all of
that was my bank account number at a pin number.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Nice, and so I did.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
I still haven't received the eight point five million dollars,
the five hundred thousand dollars, or delivery of the Mercedes Benz,
though I will say my checking accounts down a sixty
five thousand dollars now, so I'm not sure if I
made the right choice, But I don't know how many
How often do you get spam calls that.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
You know?

Speaker 3 (13:40):
I think I averaged probably averaged one a day, because like,
I can go a couple of days without them, and
I'll have a day where I'll get two or three,
and I just assume they're spam when they're numbers that
I don't recognize, even if they're twin cities. I don't
know why that person would be calling me, And oftentimes
they don't leave a message, but now they'll even do
test ones. Can you yeah, can you google seven seventy

(14:03):
three area code where that's from? Cause this game I
forgot to get to this. This is a couple of
weeks ago, but I'm going to read it. I got
back to back texts at ten twenty six am and
ten twenty seven am back on Thursday, September eighteen.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
It's in Illinois, Okay, there's the outer areas of Chicago,
outside the Loop and the innermost neighborhoods.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
I think when I looked that up before, it said
it's known for a spam area code. There's a lot
of spam, a lot of people trying to trick you
out of your money coming out of there. But anyway,
this is what this is what the first text said
that came over at ten twenty six. Sorry that cut off,

(14:44):
but I would still like to see you. I'm just
concerned that I'm not going to be giving you the
time and energy that you were looking for in a relationship.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Yeah, baby, And then a minute later it's dear Lord Dan.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
She knows my name. If it's a she could be
a heat. Who am I to judge dear Lord Dan?
If my phone could get the Dan in my life straight,
I am mortified and apologize now. And then I didn't respond,

(15:19):
of course. But my guess is this scam is they're
thinking some gal likes me, how does she know about me?
And then I'm gonna call her, and then she's gonna say.
She's going to say, I want to get you into
my life and I want to give you the time

(15:40):
and energy that you're looking for a relationship. Why don't
you send me airfare and I'll fly here, I'll fly.
That could be the same call I've been waiting for.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
So that's a very popular scam on social media, is
that it Yes, okay, they try to slide in your DMS. Okay,
So when it's pretty clear that's they're not a real
human being, that's fake.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
So that's probably what this person was doing, right, Probably
try to get try yeah, and maybe respond to them
and say, you know, I'd love to meet you.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
Sometimes you're exactly what I've been looking on my life.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Where they say, sure, send me air Fair, I need
eight hundred dollars or whatever the case may be. I
think that's probably what they're looking for. But I did
not budget. And there's two or three others that I've
gotten that I just find I don't even say that
I'm I'm annoyed by it. I was I used to

(16:33):
get annoyed by Now I find I use them for
entertainment purposes only. I just get a kick out of it,
especially if they leave message. My favorite was the guy
that wanted to give me the eight point five million
dollars five hundred thousand cash in Mercedes bands. All I
have to do is return a muone call and it's like,
and you and I have talked about this. I've read stories.
There are people that especially it seems like the elderly

(16:55):
fault for these things all the time. You know, there's
also the other one where they'll have they'll actually, you know,
the AI is getting so good, they'll have like somebody
that can that sounds like deuce and says, I'm in
big trouble. You need to send me money. I I yeah,
that's that's kind of happening. And you know, I think
one of those things we've actually talked about that as

(17:17):
a family. Maybe you think we're really paranoid, but we
have a code word. Yeah yeah, and it's I think
it's Finsterwald, I think is what it is. So there's
there's a code word of some so I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
It anymore now because you just what your code word was.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
But you you have a code word so that if
you don't hear that code word, then you know it's
just a it's it's just a scam. But uh, yeah,
you wanted to give me that, And I know that's
what he was looking for. They were going to say, yeah, hey,
like get that money. Okay, well we'll send it to
your bank right away. What's what's your bank account? Oh
and could you give us the pin number two? That's
why we get the money to you right away. That's

(17:50):
what they're looking for. I guess there are people that
that fall for those kinds of things.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
It's gonna ask you about the wild again. I had
a question for you.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Are they a scam? Is that what you're trying to well?
You know, I bet has Bill garn scamming us that?

Speaker 3 (18:05):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (18:05):
I know?

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Did I see who just signed a contract today?

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Was there another any Jack Eikeels? Eight years? Was it
thirteen and a half a year?

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Where does he compare on the caprice Off scale? Is
he better the same hot as good neighbors? I mean,
he's pretty darn good. He's an elite player.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
He you know, plays a more valuable position than Capriceoff,
and that he's a center. I would still think caprice
Offs a little bit another level ahead instead of being
like a complete game changer.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
You.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
No, he's a He's a really really good player, a
guy who kind of took a lot of heat when
he was in Buffalo, because I was when he was
in Buffalo, that team just never made the playoffs, and
he was kind of thought of as he just clinking
like a loser player, right that he can't ever get
the team over the top, and then gets traded to
Vegas and all of a sudden they're very successful and
he's doing great as well. So he's got a great shot.

(19:02):
He's as good a skater as anyone, and it is
also a pretty good, uh you know, responsibly in his
own end. So yeah, he's he's an overall good, very
good center.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
And so as we speak with h the overrated Connor
McDavid just signing a two year deal.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Both Eicele and McDavid gave their team's hometown discount, There's
no doubt.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
And so we did not get one here.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
As we speak, Caprice office still the highest paid player
in the nation, not even close. Yeah, well, is there
anybody else coming up in the near future that will
that needs a deal that won't give hometown or do
you think I have Do you think Caprice U will
stayed the highest paid player for a while now?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
He might for a year or so.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
I mean, when McDavid's eligible again in three years, I'd
have to think that contract is going to be groundbreaking. Again,
I haven't looked ahead at who other potential free.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Agents are going to be in the next year or two.

Speaker 4 (19:56):
So this text message.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
Thinks that that the we assume a woman was sending
me a text wanting to give your time and Andrey relationship.
He says, I'm sure it's real. You are the radio Romeo,
so maybe it is. Maybe she is, Maybe she is,
she's you know, yeah, baby, Maybe my reputation spreads like wildfire.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
Someone else sent.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Me all occasionally have some ladies try to get into
my dms, both on Facebook and Instagram, and they all
just happen to be smoke shows.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
None of them is that funny.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
None of them are just average looking gals trying to
get into I dms. They're all just extremely beautiful.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Delivering your laundry, I says, update your phone explaanation min.
The new iPhone blocks these coming through. It sends them
a text and ask them what they want. If they
don't reply, it gets blocked. I don't want to update
my friend.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
I do put I do? You can report them to junk,
which I do every single time.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
No, I right now, maybe maybe they'll become a time
where I get bored. I want them to leave a message.
I want to hear. I want to see how or
send me the text. I'm very amused by the person
that wants to give me that doesn't feel they can
give me the time and the energy that my relationship
needs and the other one that wanted to give me
life chain. Now it wasn't it wasn't the kind of

(21:12):
money that we get you to the great food, but
it was still.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
Pretty good money.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
We'll take a break, come back when we do. It's
time for spread swing right here on the fan.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
We all remember that one teacher who made a difference,
who believed in us, challenged us, or just made learning fun.

Thank you to the educators shaping our future. Nominate your
favorite teacher now at iHeartRadio dot com slash teachers.

Speaker 4 (22:00):

Speaker 3 (22:02):
He's tend to be no Mark Rosen today, though we
will hear from got to be kidding me sort of
kind of in a different sort of way. But joining us. Okay,
there we go, joining us now via the telephone. It's deuce,
which means is time now.

Speaker 5 (22:22):
For spread swing, spread swing.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
Now, Deuce, I don't know if you've heard that vibe
that tend to be was worading about nominating a teacher.

Speaker 4 (22:37):
That's meant a lot to you. I bet you nominate
your father. Yay.

Speaker 8 (22:42):
Yeah, well you you. You've taught me probably some of
the lessons on how to be a you know, a
gad fly, how to get people going. But let's be real,
who taught me the more valuable lessons? That would be
Mom with with Without Mom and John, I'd be a
I'd probably be a low level loser, much like Jack Ruby.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Yeah. Well, oh, who says you're not a low level loser?

Speaker 8 (23:06):
Well, there's that. I'm particularly low level and spread swing.
It's been a it's been a brutal season for me
thus far.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Yeah it has.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Well, it's been a typical season.

Speaker 4 (23:15):
It's been a typical season.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Yeah. It's what you are is that you're the company
sent you on some type of a fact finding mission.
You're on a state right now. How did you get
out of your are you are you supposed to be
in a seminar right now? Or what's what's going on?

Speaker 4 (23:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (23:29):
I'm just taking a quick step outside because there's classes
all day. So I'm just taking a I'm on top
of the I'm on the rooftop of a pile center here.
I'm overlooking Lake Mendota and Madison. Oh okay, I just
stepped out to take the call, and as soon as
it's done I'm gonna get back in there and get
to take in some notes and whatnot.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
Very good tann to be spread swing. What do we have?
What happened last week?

Speaker 2 (23:51):
Yeah, So if you remember going into last week, com
and you were in the lead with forty points, I
was in second place with twenty two rosen and third
with seven venteen and a half, and deuce in last
with minus forty one. We did have some changes in
the standings this week, but it was not at the

(24:11):
top with the common man, Dan Cole, because you had
two wins this week.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
Common.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
You had Detroit minus ten against the Bungles. The Bungles
did come back to make it relatively close, but they
still lost by thirteen, so he gained three points in
that one. And then he had Tampa Bay Tampa Bay
plus three and a half against Seattle on the road
and they won that game by three, so he gained
six and a half. You went from forty to forty
nine and a half. You are now in first place, beautiful.

(24:37):
Now in second place, that would be Mark Rosen. He
had two wins last week. He had the homer pick
of the Minnesota Vikings minus three and a half against
Cleveland Carson wentz Sa that saved as Bacon. They ended
up winning by four, so he gained a half a
point there. And then he also had Dallas minus two
and a half against the Jets. They won that one
by fifteen. Wow, so he gained twelve and a half points.

(24:58):
Rosy now in second place. He moves up to thirty
and a half points. I am now in third place
because I had a very deuce like week. I had
Buffalo minus seven and a half on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Football and they lost.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
They lost the Patriots by three, so.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
I lost ten and a half points there.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
I also had the Giants plus two at New Orleans
they lost by twelve.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
I lost ten points there.

Speaker 4 (25:27):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
So I went from twenty two points and now I'm
just at one and a half. Okay, Well we're on
a deuce. No surprise here, Douce, still in last place.

Speaker 5 (25:39):
Deuce.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
You had the opposite of common on the Tampa Bay
Seattle game, very very smart pick by Common to just
take the opposite side of you. You had Seattle minus
three and a half against Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay they
lost by three, so you lost six and a half
points there. And then one of the most epic collapses
in NFL history went against Deuce. Last week, the Arizona

(26:00):
Cardinals were favored by seven and a half against Tennessee.
Where were they up by? Were they up like almost
twenty point six points? And they just lost in unbelievable
fashion twenty two to twenty one to the Titans.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
You lost eight and a half point there.

Speaker 5 (26:15):
Deuce.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
You are now at minus fifty six. So through through
five weeks we've made ten overall picks. Deuce is one
to nine against the spread, and like literally you could
flip a coin and you'd be more likely to be
right than Deuce. And my favorite part now is every
week on Twitter or x I have people sending me

(26:37):
actual betting slips that they are betting against Deuce's picks, and.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
They're all cashing in. They're all cashing in.

Speaker 8 (26:45):
So I provide a very valuable, unique service to the show,
and I'm happy to do it week after week. If
it means my suffering and that people are laughing at
my expense, so be it.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Yeah, and we're laughing and they're laughing all the way
to the bank train.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Now it's hashtag fade deuce is what's trending on X
as we speak. The order is gonna be deuce myself,
Rosen and then common.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Spread swing.

Speaker 8 (27:14):
Better look at these games, assuming that means it's there
we go, my turn first up, as per usual, and
I like the primetime games. I've taken a lot of
primetime games up to this point in the season, and
I'm gonna keep that trend, keep that train rolling. The
Buffalo Bills travel to the A this Monday night. I

(27:37):
think it's a Monday nighter and it's a doubleheader that evening.
But the Bills are taking on the Falcons in the
first contest of Monday evening, and the Bills are reeling
from an atrocious loss to the New England Patriots. I
don't really think the Patriots are a whole lot better
than anyone thought they were before Week five. I think

(27:58):
the Bills just played kind of a bad game. Josh
Allen even set himself some sloppy football, and I think
they're going to struggle against Atlantas, They're going to play
one of the best defenses in the league. The Falcons
have I believe, the best rushing defense or no, best
passing defense, like a top five rushing defense. So the
Falcons are gonna be able to stop Josh Allen's offense.

(28:22):
And the Bills have a pretty good defense through the air.
But when it comes to stop in the run, the
Bills defenses look like it's shares all year and they're
gonna have to stop Jon Robinson, who's the best running
back in the NFL not named Sakuon Barkley or Jamior Gibbs.
So I like the Falcons in this one. I get
four and a half points number a home team, I'm

(28:44):
taking Atlanta. Give me the Falcons plus four and a half. Now,
what do you think?

Speaker 4 (28:50):
What do you think that I think it's gonna be
a counting in Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Think a lot of people are heading south and east
of the border to go bet on the Buffalo Bills
as we speak.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
I think you're probably right.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
Spread Swing.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
I think I'm probably the only one that would pick
the Las Vegas Tennessee game as part of my pick
for Spread Swing but Vegas three and a half point
favorites at home against Tennessee, and Vegas is coming off
a game in which they got spanked by the Indianapolis Colts.
They gave up over forty points, and I think they're
going to be mad. I think they're gonna be upset,
and here comes the bounce back game from Vegas. On

(29:30):
the other hand, you have Tennessee coming off that comeback
that went against deuce and spread swing. But I mean,
let's face it, like that was the luckiest comeback in
the history of the NFL. Like Arizona's running back let
go of the ball before they crossed the goal line.
They Tennessee scored a touchdown in which they threw an

(29:52):
interception and then the guy fumbles it and it's recovered
by Tennessee and the end zone.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
That was all luck.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
Tennessee is not a very good team, and I now
think and on top of that, Tennessee is playing their
third straight road game.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
They've been on the road quite a bit.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Here, I think they're going to get exposed big time
by a Las Vegas and a bounce back efforts. I'll
go Raides minus three and a half versus Tennessee.

Speaker 5 (30:17):
Spread swing.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Let me guess Rosen's taking the Vikings.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Well, they're off this week, so that would be hard
to take them, but he'll take them. Rosie is going
to go with He must like Baker Mayfield all of
a sudden because he's taking Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay funny
minus three versus the San Francisco forty nine.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
Yeah, after he saw.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
It is crazy because I took Tampa Bay. I told him,
I think I said in these very airwaves, and I
think Mayfield I'm seeing it all over too. I think
I said this to you the other day ten to
be one of those questions on the ESPN, was.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
It Baker Mayfield a top five quarterback in the league?
And then they just had.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Foreign packer coach Dallas coach Jimmy Johnson, Mike McCarthy and
they had him on the uh Seth Rogan, No, what's
the guy that does the groom that stole my grum bit?

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Oh? Pat mcamcafee on the.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
Mcabee Show, he listed his top five quarterbacks and he
had Baker Mayfield.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
You could argue, you could argue Jared Goff is there.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
So Roseen has jumped all over the Tampa Bay Tampa
Bay Band, Well it is.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
It's an issuing.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
I don't know how to read San Francisco because they
are just decimated with injuries. Right, They're going without brock Purty,
They're going out without their top two wide receivers. They're
still able to pull it all together and beat the
Rams last week. I think a lot of it is
their coaching is so good yep, But I don't know
how long the coaching can take you if you're still
playing your backups NonStop. So that does have that does

(31:46):
have potential to get.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Out of hand. So I don't mind that pick by
Rosie very good.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
Spread Swing.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
Someone just texted and says, Deuce being as bad as
spread Swing has to be a bit, right. Nobody can
be this bad at picking NFL games.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Deuce is it a bit?

Speaker 4 (32:12):
Yeah? I can promise you that too. It was.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
It's pretty sure my five year old daughter could pick
make picks better than Douce.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
It's so much fun sitting on the couch in the
man grotto. As the games I'm progressing watching deuces. It's
just the Cardinals.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
One was just priceless.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
It was sold. You can't make that up.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Why is Kansas City favored over Detroit. I don't understand
that they are right.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Is that they are by point and a half?

Speaker 4 (32:38):
How is that?

Speaker 8 (32:40):
I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
There Pat Mahomes at Arrowhead, I guess he's going to
tell you have they ever been underdogs in Arrowhead?

Speaker 1 (32:46):
I don't know Mahomes era.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
I will say this, I'm not saying that Mahomes isn't
the best quarterback on his roster.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
He is. Indeed, I'm not saying he's done either.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
But he doesn't.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
It's actually been pretty good the season.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
He doesn't have a lot to work with right now,
right and Rashi Rice is still.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
Think Mahomes is their leading rusher right now.

Speaker 8 (33:05):
That's huh.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
You know, I know things can change in a hurry,
and I know on the road and Kansas City's got
the you know, they had the pedigree. I think a
lot of that one and a half is disrespectful what
they've been able to accomplish. They've been the most dominant
team in football for ten years. But I'll take that
point and a half. I'll take Detroit on the road.
I think Detroit moves to five and one. Most power

(33:28):
rankings have the best team in Pro football, and for
good reason. I like the way they play now defense. Defensively,
they're getting beat up a little bit.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Again.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Their secondary is is not real sharp, so maybe this
is where Mahomes can take advantage of that.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
But I'll take the kiddies.

Speaker 8 (33:55):
The Arizona Cardinals are coming off of a collapse that
was so horrific. But if I had just not picked,
if I had not picked them in spread swings, their
dopey dope running back would have crossed the plane with
ball in hand, the score would have gone to twenty
eight to six, and the Cardinals would have won by
two touchdowns. But I wheeled a curse and I'd bestowed

(34:15):
it upon the Arizona Cardinals, and they lost in the
most dopey dope fashion that I can remember in a really,
really long time. And figures are going to go from
bad to worse. I don't know how you can get
much worse than what happened last week, but I think
Arizona's gonna find it when they traveled to Indianapolis this week.
The Colts are a really, really quality football team. Daniel

(34:39):
Jones is playing excellent quarterback, playing excellent at the quarterback position,
and I think the Cardinals are just going to get
destroyed straight up. The Colts are just going to overmatch
the Arizona Cardinals. I think seven points is even I'd
to give up seven, but I think that's even being
a little bit generous. I think the Colts are going
to the mallege the Arizona Cardinals. But I am one

(35:02):
and nine the season. But that one victory I had,
the one time I did game points, it was picking
the Indianapolis Colts.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
So hopefully they.

Speaker 8 (35:10):
Can hopefully they have a little more magic and they
can help me out of this jam that I've been working,
and so I'll take the Colts minus seven.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Also in this one, Kyler Murray didn't practice yesterday. I
think it was a foot related injury. So it's possible
they're going to their backup, which is Jacoby Brissette, which
he might have he played for the Colts at one point.
Did he not know he's been He's been all over
the place. I don't remember anymore. But spike game coming
for Jacoby Brisette. Maybe very good spread swing.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:49):
The LA super Chargers are favored by three and a
half at Miami this week, and I will be taking
the Chargers minus reetawb. It's been a couple disappointing weeks
for the Supercharges and losing two consecutive games for the
Giants in Washington. But I guess I'm I guess I'm
all about bounce back games this week because they are

(36:10):
playing a Miami team that is awful. They don't have
Tyreek Hill. They lost at Carolina last week. The Chargers
three games into the season, looked like one of the
best games in football. They have to recapture it against Miami.

Speaker 1 (36:24):
Here.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
I know I'm giving up three and a half points,
but I'm gonna take LAC minus three and a half
against the against the Fins.

Speaker 5 (36:33):
Spread swing.

Speaker 4 (36:38):
Legendary one. He got.

Speaker 5 (36:41):
One.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
No, I did have this as one of my backup
picks in case I did good snipe. And little did
he know when he gave me this pick on a
sheet of paper that it was going to be opposite
of a current pick that's already been made by one
of us.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
And luckily for him, it's opposite Deuce.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
He's going on the other side of the Buffalo Bills
Atlanta Falcons game the Falcons or Falcons Falcons. He is
going to take the Buffalo Bills minus four and a half.
I liked Buffalo in this one as well. So the
fact that Deuce was confident made that his number one
overall pick made me extra confident. I almost decided to
go with that strategy anyways. But he'll go with the
Buffalo Bills minus four and a half at Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
Yeah, I think Buffalo.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Bounces regretted itself, but we'll see spread swing.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
There are a handful of games I could select.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
First of all, how is Green Bay a fourteen point favorite?
What over Cincinnati? Well they have Joe Flacco now, then
he's going to start this week.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Yeah, I don't know if that's much. He just got
a bench for Dylan Gabriel, so I don't know if
that's not. I mean, it's an upgrade for Jake Browning, but.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Joe go throwing the veteran wide receiver throwing to maybe
the best wide receiver combination of pro football.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
Joe Flako was going to be the AFC Offensive Player of.

Speaker 3 (38:10):
The Week this week, but I don't know if I
still I still I I don't know if I'm ready
to because it is at Curly.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Then there's another game that I think is.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
That I like a lot, and that would be, uh, Pittsburgh,
because now what is Cleveland doing for?

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Are they going to go with the Kiddigainners?

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Oh yeah, okay he didn't, No, he didn't, but I
I just I know that people want should do or.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
Sanders, including you. You're a huge Sanders guy.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
So and and I like the way the Steelers are playing.
I like the way Rogers is playing. And then there's
also den were on the road against the Jets. I
don't mind giving up seven points there. I think Denver's

(39:04):
a real.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Defensively that's right yesterday London. Yeah, so.

Speaker 3 (39:12):
There there's just and I know I'm gonna pick the
right one in each case.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
Just which one?

Speaker 1 (39:17):
The way in London they're playing the game at eight
in the morning, what are they doing?

Speaker 3 (39:20):
I don't know with with all of these these games,
I I just got to decide which one I can
make the most points on because I'll pick it correctly
either way.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
I think I'm going to take a Rodger.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
And the Steelers and I'll give up to six points
go ahead, and I think I think I'll take pitt
minus six.

Speaker 5 (39:38):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
I think Rogers is feeling his oats. I think he's
really comfortable with where he's been, where he's going, where
he's at. I think Pittsburgh likes where they are. Cleveland
is and then the new kid was he was fine.
But I think I think Tomlin and company will come
up with a few tricks. I think Pittsburgh wins, and
I'll win comfortably. I'll take the Steelers and give the
six points.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
The only other game I would considering was Washington minus
four and a half against Chicago. That's the uh, the
rematch of the fail Mary from last year. Remember that play,
yes by Terry Stevenson. Well, the ball is being snapped
is looking out into the crowd. Yeah, they got themselves
a rematch.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (40:15):
Dude, When are you spread swing?

Speaker 4 (40:18):
What are you heading back?

Speaker 8 (40:20):
I'll be on the road at about twelve forty five
one o'clock tomorrow and then roll back into town like
four hours later.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
And then you've got uh Mankato East against Apple Valley Football.

Speaker 8 (40:33):
Yeah, I'm filling in for the legendary Robbie Rosenhouse. He's
out of town for a wedding, so I'm I'm taking
a spot covering the game. Man Cato East coming off
of a win. Apple Valley also coming off when it's
going to be played at Burnsville due to the auscree
issue that has been happening at Apple Valley. But so
you'll be a good matchup. I'm excited. It'll be the
first football game up.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Don Yeah, you'll be on the call. That'll be on
game time mn dot com. I'll be listening to my friend.

Speaker 4 (40:59):
I will see you. Please drive carefully when you come home,
and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Speaker 8 (41:02):
Okay, yes, well do sounds great. Thanks for having me guy,
I appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
There's deuce and there's a spread swing here on the fan.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
We'll take a break another hour to go.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
Remember no Mark.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
Rose and he's out.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
But we got a little adds a little of that
with the emphasis on the lap more controversial vikings news
the other side of the break
