Speaker 3 (00:44):
A couple thirteen fourteen passed. Hour Number one in the
books has been fast paced, action packed and controversial.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
It's been filtered.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
We've got a filter sort of like having a the
same thing as like you know Teneby. They'll put a governor,
not Ventura but the but a governor on a golf cart,
so it can only go so fast. You want to
hook that governor and that thing will go like a
bat out of hell. If they took the filter of
you think this show is controversial, now for me, just
think if they took the filter office, how controversial will
we be?
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Maybe that'll happen. Always love that.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Right now, it's time for five to three for time
now for.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Five questions, Well actually three, but five sounds like more
than four.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Question number one.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Time Now for an in depth look at the state
of the state of hockey.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yes, per Ball said, is yet to lose in regulation
after making a career high forties. Who saves last night
in the Wild's four to three shootout win over the
Carolina Hurricanes. The Wall of Saint Paul is now five
oh to two on the Did.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
You come up with that? No, Ball Said's nine.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
To twenty six save percentage leads the NHL, and his
two point two zero goals against averages third after back
to back shoutouts. His shutout streak did end at ninety
five consecutive saves and one hundred and seventy five minutes
and twelve seconds. That's the longest by a Wild rookie
and best by an NHL rookie since twenty fifteen Common
Do we have a future superstar goaltender on our hands?
(02:24):
In yesper Vall said, why has he not been playing
more up until now?
Speaker 5 (02:28):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Was that all of them? I think you tried to
explain it to me once before.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
I thought, well, I don't think I tried to explain.
I try to say he should be playing. No, what
I mean you tried to explain. The thinking was that
the guy was the other guy supposed to be our guy.
Right well, there were question marks and Ball said because
he was he was bad last year in Iowa and
it wasn't all on him. He was had a bad
team in front of him as well. But the stats
are not good. He did not have a good season.
(02:52):
So I think there were some doubts going into this year.
But it's early, it's still mid November, but he appears
to be erasing those He's looked terrific and he was fantastic,
but not even the forty some saves, but they get
to a shootout. The first two shootouts happens by Carolina.
Carolina were like phenomenal moves that he just stone could ropped. Okay,
(03:16):
So yeah, he's yet to lose in regulation. He's giving
them a chance to win every single night, and he's
been pretty earn going to the shootout as well, securing those
extra points for them.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
It's interesting. He's very young, right is This is second year.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
He played just a tad in the NFL last year
but did not did not play a lot. I think
he only played two games maybe, so.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Young kid just starting in the National Hockey League.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Brilliant.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, young kid just starting in the National Football League?
Just awful, isn't that's crazy? You know, I'm not why
I shouldn't. They just hast had a couple of moments.
You know, he had the first Bears game that fourth quarter.
Then he had a nice drive. He did set the
Bikes up to win, right, but then we gave up.
Du Verne had a fifty six yard kickoff return and
they were right field goal range and they won the game.
(04:01):
And that was because players were trying too hard, trying
to make the play. According to the coach and all
the others, guys just need to stay in their lanes.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
But so we got one goaltender.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Young kid that's standing on his head, and he's he's
pumped life into the franchise, right, and brought excitement and
brought the team back into you know, they were on
the virgin media irrelevant for this season, right, and it
could still go south, right if you go, hey, why
are we know that? But he's now now the team's
you feel like they're back in the mix.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
I think he's also brought life into Gus gust Buss, Yes,
because since he started playing a little bit more and
started playing well. Gust Bus has turned his season around
a little bit and started to play a little bit better.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
So there you go.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
And meanwhile McCarthy just seems to be if he even
takes one step forward, he's taken my three steps back.
So that could change again, much like the wall from
Saint Paul could go the other direction again, macarthy could
take another couple steps forward. It remains to be seen.
But is uh it's an interesting, you know, comparison.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
It'd be nice to get this kind of goaltending in
a playoff series. I can tell you that I feel
like you. Last night was one of those where Bass
that kind of stole the game, right even though he
gave up three goals that he the amount of saves
he had to make getting making the shootout saves, And
people always do the old while they got out played
pretty badly. And you're going to get out played some games,
(05:28):
and it's okay to have your goalies steal one every
once a while. And I feel like when we've gotten
in the playoffs, our goalies are not necessarily ever the
reason we lose, but they're never the reason we win.
It's okay to get out shot out chance and still
win the game.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
Well, And we talked about this just the other day.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Earlier this week, we talked about, you know, quarterbacks most
important position in all sports, and I would say probably,
you know, goaltender is probably right behind the quarterback because,
as you say, a goaltender can steal games where you
can be out play. What do they like to say
the ice is tilted a certain tilsa and your goaltender
(06:05):
standing honest said, and I've done that. You know, we
talked about, you know, I am athlete podcast. You and
I should do a podcast about all of our athletic
achievements because I was a great boot hockey.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
What about your golf around podcast? Because I think that
would be on the sixty four last there's that.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
You know, wheel up topic around with commons.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
So yeah, I understand how important the goaltender position is
because I've played it at a very high level. So yeah,
it's great to see. And and that's also demoralizing to
the other team if they're getting chance after chance and
they're getting robbed right.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
It's like, how are we going to score?
Speaker 3 (06:42):
It's at that point you kind of wish you just
keep the game scoreless as long as possible. Question number two.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
It's now time to take an in that look at
the welfare of the wold.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
The Wolves gave up almost all of a twenty seven
point lead before ultimately beating the Washington Wizards won twenty
one to nine last night at Target Center. Julius Randall
finished at thirty two points. Will nas Red added twenty
eight off the bench. The Wolves, who were without Jade
McDaniels because of a risk injury, improved a ten and
five overall and ten and zero against teams under five
(07:29):
hundred common. Let's sticks out to you from last night's
win over Washington.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
They've lost to five teams that are above five hundred.
That's what stands out more than anything. I didn't have
to see the game, and I can tell you what happened.
Tell me this, anybody that watched the game, tim and
what happened. The Wolves were the far superior team going
into the game, playing the game, and coming out of
the game right. They're a two time Western Conference finalists
last two years the CAP no Wizards one in twelve. Yeah,
(08:00):
so my guess as it was maybe not to the
point of globetrotters versus who did they always play? Was
it the Washington generals. Yeah, I'm not saying it was
to that point. It was pretty close. So I think
the Wolves knew right from the outset we can win
(08:20):
this game without any problem, because in the account I read,
it sounded like a couple times, maybe even three times,
Washington cut it to five, and then at that point
I think was just said, oh that's that's enough. Let's
let's let's let's let's ratchet it back up, let's turn
the heat up a little bit in play. So one
of those games where the outcome really was never. Washington
(08:43):
was never going to win that game.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Never.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
They weren't. Anybody thinks that they'll I better watch out.
I mean, if they did, it would be an embarrassment
to the Wolves. You if you really have designs, I'm
getting back to the Western Conference Finals and maybe taking
it that next time and getting the mt foundaid.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
You don't lose your regular season games.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
You play like like Oklahoma Oklahoma City does, where they
they play every game seriously. So nice to win, you know,
I'll tip my cap to him. But it sounds like
it was one of those games where it it's just
non competitive, there's nothing there. It's just one pretty darn
good team and a really bad team playing.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
So rettal question number three, don't put.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Their Washington's roster together. You're play him as they come
up on the schedule. It's time now for it's alt's
a full choice.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Which Week twelve quarterback story is the most intriguing to you? A.
Joe Burrow has returned to practice, and head coach Zach
Taylor said there is no decision yet on whether he
will play this week versus New England. B Drake may
responded to Cam Newton saying the Patriots are fool's gold
by saying, quote, I don't even know what show he's on.
See Baker Mayfield notices difference in slumping Buccaneers after accountability speech.
(10:04):
D Brown's rookie Shoulder Sanders will make the first start
of his career Sunday against Las Vegas. E. Lamar Jackson
missed yesterday's practice with an ankle injury or f JJ.
McCarthy on his progress said quote, A cork about to
come off a bottle.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Well, that's the one that grabs me. Sure it has
to A. It's local B.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
From what we've seen, They're gonna have to pry that
cork out with a hammer and chisel, because I just
haven't seen any cork popping yet, any performances that I
would consider cork. I guess the fourth We just talked
a fourth quurt and then the two Bears games. But
what was the Mayfield one?
Speaker 1 (10:56):
He notices a quote difference in slumping Buccaneers after accountability speech.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
If we had one of those, like players only meets
or something, it's unfortnate. If you need one of those,
your team's got no chance. They're done.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
Remember the Vikings did it. They did the captain's speech
before the Lions game and they won. Yeah, and then
they lost the one next week after that, the next
week after that.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
So those those speeches only work.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Exactly. I tend to agree. I like the one where
may said I don't even know what show camp means.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
I agree, I don't know I show he's on either. Yeah,
but you know what, I know one thing he's not
in the sixty four podcast, right, I know that.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Get to the sixty four show.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
Podcast, bracket Cam and get back to me.
Speaker 6 (11:43):
And that's it for today's edition of five questions, Well,
actually three questions, but five sounds like more than four.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
You know, we should do ten to be you and
I should start a podcast called Common and Tend to
be Unfiltered and Unhinged.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
I like it enough, set enough, set absolutely, or.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
We'll do you guys, ever, stop talking, that's another good day.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
We'll break. We'll come back with a little distat lad.
We're fifteen minutes away.

What chance do we have in the sixty four team tournament?
What is the name of that website again? Sixty four
sixty four dot com?
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Yeah, they do.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
You mentioned a couple best sandwich in Philadelphia. They have
sixty four s I didn't know they had that many
sandwiches in Philadelphia and a Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich has
to win, right Is that? What it is is that
is sixty four different Philly cheese steaks, and they're just
battling and battling and battling. If only we can get
(13:21):
the filter taken off. It's kind of unfair, is what
it really is. List radio is lazy radio. You won't
find a lazier host in the country than me. But
I've earned my laziness. I've already gone over a couple
thirteen fourteen times in my climb up the radio ladder
(13:43):
from the very depths to the heights where we are now.
I put in a lot of time, not a lot
of effort, but a lot of time, and so I
earned I'm sorry. I'm not gonna apologize for having a
three hour day and two hours on Tuesdays during the
Gophers college football and basketball seasons.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
With List Radio CBS Sports.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
They have their AFC and NFC playoff projections tend to
be Yeah, number one, see the New England Patriots. They've
got New England at number one, Denver bron because they
will be the East champion, Number two, Denver West champion,
number three, Indianapolis the South champion. They think the Baltimore
(14:29):
Ravens are going to win the AFC North. Would you
agree with that?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Con They're only one game back now, they're up to
five and five after winning four in a row, and.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Yeah, one game back in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Who knows what the I think Rogers is going to
play this week, but I know he had some health stuff.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
He has a broken left wrist is what he has.
Non throwing hand, but still a broken left wrist. It's
advantageous for the Ravens to be in a pretty weak North,
right because the Bengals lost Burrow early and they've they've
lost a bunch of games. Cleveland's terrible, right, yep, and
Pittsburgh solid. But I don't think you know, I put
(15:09):
it this way to me, I don't see Aaron Rodgers
hoisting his second Big Game.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
Trophy at the end of the season. I just don't,
you know. I I think he's he's done well.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
For himself at forty one years of age, building the
record they have for Pittsburgh. But I think I think
that that coach is going to turn into a pumpkin,
not the coach of the team, just at the Cinderella story.
I don't think it's gonna it's going to happen there.
So the Ravens then they have as a wild cards
tend to be Buffalo is wild card number one, wild
(15:39):
Card number two the LA Chargers, and wild card number
three the Jacksonville jagu War Your thoughts anybody else you
think might sneak.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
It in.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
Right now? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:52):
And you know, the Chiefs are one game back of Jacksonville,
but they lost the Jaguars, so they're basically two games
back of Jacksonville. From a tiebreaker perspective, Chiefs are going
to have to go on a run.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I'm assuming they have the.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Chargers still another time and so they can at least
gain a game on the LA Superchargers. And they're currently
two back, but at five and five, they're getting close
to Viking territory where you got to go on.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
You know, six and one run five and two at worst.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
And we all feel like, if any team is capable,
it would be Kansas City. But they need to do it,
I mean because eventually, you know, even happened to New England, right, Eventually,
it just you don't make it.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
And the problem is all the teams they're chasing they
don't have tie breakers on right They're two games behind Buffalo.
They lost to Buffalo. They're a game behind the Jaguars.
They lost to the Jaguars. I'm gonna take you two
games behind the Chargers. Now they can even that out
because they'll get them again. But they lost the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
I'm gonna take your filter off.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
You ready, Yeah, I'm gonna have you guess who they
whose CBS Sports thinks the NFC.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Who will be number one? Do you think they?
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Who do you think they think? I think probably Philadelphia?
Speaker 3 (17:06):
Yes, they have Philadelphia winning the East and being the
number one seed. Who do you think they have as
the number two seed? You're Los Angeles Rams, that is correct,
winning the West? Number three?
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Who do you think they have?
Speaker 1 (17:17):
This is where it gets interesting because the Bears currently
lead the NFC North, but I still don't know if
they would be convinced that the Bears are going to
win that division. Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay's got another tough
game this week. They just had They had to go
to Buffalo last week. Now they got to go to
the Los Angeles Rams this week. That's not easy.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
But they do have cards.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Saints, Falcons, Panthers twice in Dolphins.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Okay, so they have a weaker schedule, so we'll go
Tampa Bay then, and they do have Tampa Baya.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
That's me very good Tampa Bay.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Who do you think as they have the fourth seed,
which would be the NFC North.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Champion, and this could be one of three teams.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Who do you think they say.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
They are going to go with the Green bit Packers.
They went with Detroit.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Oh, they think Detroit even though right now in the
pecking in order to Detroit in third place. Right they're
home to the Giants this week, home to the Packers
on Thanksgiving. I think they're home to the Cowboys as well.
Then they're at the Rams, home to the Steelers, at Vikings,
(18:23):
at Bears. So there's you know, you would think I'm
not necessarily saying that the Giants is a gimme.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
It's a gimme.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
It's a gimme. Is Cowboys a gimme? Is it at Detroit?
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (18:33):
I think it's at Detroit.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Dallas always has the potential to score with you, which
is Detroit can get in those games. They get in
those thirty thirty five times and Dallas can play in those.
But I would take the trait and.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Home to the Steelers.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
That's probably that should be a Detroit win, right it
says the computer might malfunction trying to figure out who's
going to win the NFC North Right now, the kiddies
are given the edge, but just barely. They have a
thirty eight point seven percent chance of winning the division,
slightly head of the Packers, who are at thirty five
point nine. Although the Bears are currently in first place,
the computer has their chances that just twenty five point
(19:09):
two percent. One huge thing working in Detroit's favors the
fact the Lines get to play six of their final
seven games indoors.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Yes, they've always been way better at just indoors. In general,
who do.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
You think they have? As the three wild cards tend
to be five, six, and seven.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Well, let's I think Seattle's going to be one of them.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
They have met number five. Let's go San Francisco. They
have San Francisco at number six. You know what, you
could be the computer. You have a computer like mine.
So it's going to be either the Packers or the Bears.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
For seven. I will go Green Bay. Then they want
with Green Bans. Okay, they're doubting Chicago. So you nailed
or you nailed.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
All four of those are all seven of them of
the picks there, So that's what you have as far
as and again you know it's this is all just
for entertainment. Purpose is only because any team could go
the tank. Any team could go on the run, a
surprise team could jump up, Detroit could injuries could come up.
Detroit loses players, Tampa loses play Rams, whoever the case
(20:09):
may be.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Any of those teams lose a quarterback.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
All bets are off, right. But yeah, the Vikings they
don't have the computer doesn't particularly. I think they consume
the information on the Vikings and then spit it back out.
So there you go. Let's do this take our break
bottom of the hour. Break My favorite segment of the week.
(20:33):
It's called Spread Swing. The legendary Mark Rose and formerly

Speaker 3 (21:25):
Spread swing a lively discussion of current games and Vegas
lines with legendary guests and plenty of humor, laughter, fierce debate,
and unfiltered analysis. Does that sound like quite accurate? I
wonder if we should turn it into a podcast and
see if we can be a late entry into the
sixty four.
Speaker 7 (21:45):
Podcast turn Have you heard about the I? I heard
you talking about it briefly till we got my car.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
You're in it.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
We're taking on kar is it carch and Anderson? Who
are we facing off in the first round? It looks
like we're the fifteen seed. Oh well no, yeah, karsh
and Anderson.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
We're taking on Carshon Anderson Detroit. They're from the Ticket.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
They're from the Ticket in Detroit. So I'm facing a
show from my hometown. Here's the beauty of it. Depending
upon is as long as we advance, Yeah, and the
power Trip advances, we'd have a showdown in the sweet sixteen.
They're in the same division, the Metropolitan I there see
a way not social.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
They're not actually seed. No, that's what we're assuming.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Yeah, so we just assume we're fifteen, see power Trip. Look,
it would be out of six.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
They'd be in like the Yeah, the either A three
or four and that's.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Waiting and that's way too low for them.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
I think that's the voice of the legendary Mark Rose
and are joining us on the Kinectical Water Systems hotline.
It's uh, none other than my first born Deuce anddus.
Thanks for letting me use your jeep last night to
drive to ma or Shove at one o'clock in the
morning to see if I left my keys in your
mom's car.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
God, you didn't really do that.
Speaker 5 (22:54):
The only person on Interstate four ninety four at one
o'clock in the morning like that.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
No, there were a couple of there.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
There there was a Jimmy Hall and Hogs and a
Kenworth with a reefer on.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Well, yeah, did you find the keys? Well, they were
they were at home. Of course they were.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Well.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
See, I took my wife's car in for service and
dropped it off, and then I thought, when I couldn't
find my keys last night before I went to bed
at twelve thirty, because I wanted to make sure the
car was lock, couldn't win the keys, I tore, tore
the house apartment. I thought, well, maybe I brought the
keys my keys in the car when I dropped the
car off and kept them in the console.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
They weren't there. And I got home the worst feeling
the world.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
And the one thing I didn't tear apart was we
have a big automan for putting your feet on. My
lovely white potato now has like a couple of thirteen
fourteen you know, fluffy blankets and stuff, and you know
comforters and stuff.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
To put on right.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Well, it was I'd folded a couple of them up
because I always fold them up at the end of
the night, and I put them on top of my keys,
and so it was all my fault, and so yes.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
I lost.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
So I was going to go to bed at twelve thirty,
end up going to bed at two thirty.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
I lost two hours last night. God and they still
go out and play golf.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
Of course it did you and I played forty well
until I got to that eighteen people.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
I was still bitter about that. Dude, How you doing?
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Sorry, No, I'm doing I I'm just crunching away at
the spreadsheets and killing time until the weekend eventually rolls around.
The morning runs are really fun. I crossed right over
the six ninety four. I crossed right over six ninety
four on a pedestrian bridge, so I get to be
around some lakes and stuff that are nearby. So everything
(24:26):
is going on, right.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
How many miles did you go today?
Speaker 5 (24:31):
Today? It was eight and uh some, pretty short for
what I've been doing.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Oh yeah, hopefully it.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Sounds like you're getting soft. Come on, if you're doing eight.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
Miles, eight's a warm up kind of day for you
all the time, right.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Yeah, that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
And then you got a hockey game Saturday night, right.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
The lakes Ville North Boys open their season against New Prague.
And what I found so strange about that game is,
I mean, last time I checked, Egg was over in
the check re public. Why are they bringing in a
hockey team from Lakeville? It doesn't make any no, it.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Doesn't, and then you think about the jet lag and
circadian rhythms and time zone changes. I don't think they
stand a chance. I think this is going to be
a laugh or I'll take Lakeville.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
I agree, well, if they can keep it scoreless as
long as possible, I would also back.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Yeah, well that's what you want to do. I mean,
it's always good to get a lead, but keeping us
scoreless as long as possible is always a good idea.
And my guess is on a trip like that, their
players will lose hundreds hundred hundreds of pounds. Hey, why
don't we do it? Go ahead and let's play spread
swing spread swing.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
Things are starting to bunch up a little bit in
the old NFL spread swing standings going in it that sounds.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Like it didn't bote, it didn't go well for me.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Didn't go well for the town guys, and it went
well for the bottom guys. So things are bunching up
a little bit. Common You were in the lead going
into last week with fifty seven. I was ten back
at forty seven deuce and third to twelve, and Rosen
was in last at minus seventeen.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Are you minus seven nine anymore?
Speaker 1 (26:15):
But Mark rosen is back in black. Oh yeah, because
he had the San Francisco forty nine ers minus three
against Arizona and he doubled down that and they won
by nineteen points.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Oh yeah, that was my pick of the week.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
So you got your sixteen points. He doubled that down.
You get thirty two out of it.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Holy yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
You did have a small loss in your other one.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
You had Houston minus six and a half against Yo
what up Tennessee. They only won by three, so he
lost three and a half there, But you do vault
up to eleven and a half points, right. Deuce made
some progress as well. He had the Rams minus three
and a half against Seattle. They only won by two,
so he'd lost a point and a half there. But
in his other matchup, he had Pittsburgh minus five and
(26:59):
a half against the Bunk and they won by twenty two.
Oh my gosh, so he gained sixteen and a half.
So on the weekend, Deuce improves by fifteen. So he's
now up to twenty seven points. Not too far back
from me. Now, I'm still in second place. I had
two minor losses. I had the Minnesota Vikings minus three
against the Bears, and they lost by two, so I
(27:22):
lost five points there. I had also had Baltimore minus
seven and a half against Cleveland. They won by seven,
but I lost a half point there, so I dropped
back to forty one and a half points. And Common
you also dropped back with two losses. You had Detroit
plus two and a half against Philly, they lost by seven.
He lost four and a half there. You also had
(27:42):
KCKC minus three and a half against Denver and they
lost that one by three. He lost six and a
half there, See lost eleven. So here's where we're at. Common,
You're still in first with forty six points. I'm now
just four and a half back, even though I lost
both of mine, I'm at forty one and a half.
Duson striking distance at twenty seven, and Rosen not too
far back out eleven and a half.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
So we're all in the positive.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
We're all about can you say that again about Deuce,
because that those words have never been not too far
back at twenty seven points.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
It's just amazing.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Typically he's at this point, I mean, think about this
is the world still rotating on his access I don't
even know it's it's amazing, but I'm proud of you, son,
I'm proudy.
Speaker 1 (28:21):
So the order will stay the same. It'll be Rosen deuced,
Tenna and then Common. But I have a feeling we
might see some shuffling of the order next week.
Speaker 6 (28:27):
Let's going, well, I'm gonna go one more time.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
It's like being at the roulette table. Is one more
roll the dice on k C k C. You know,
I just I got again the Colds and Danny Donne.
Speaker 7 (28:54):
They're playing. They're playing at Kansas City. Yeah, they're five
and five still on field. If they have anything less
than the tank, uh, they're gonna make any run at all.
This is the time they have to do it. And
I you know, I'm Indianapolis was exposed one time already.
I think the Chiefs are gonna be ready to roll
at home. Very tough place to play desperation not this year,
(29:16):
well no.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
But I think it will change.
Speaker 7 (29:18):
I know they playing your quality about it, but I'm
gonna go with my gut here as they say, and
go with Kansas City k case.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Okay, that's all ry Kansasity Chiefs minus three for Mark Rosen.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
Definitely definitely by the way you did, because I would
not have known that.
Speaker 5 (29:39):
By so you don't need me or any other football
experts to say that this Sunday's game is a big
one for the Minnesota Vikings. And I know that J. J.
McCarthy was saying that his progress is similar to that
of a quirk about to pop out of the Boss
said that you would need potentially a and its chisel
(30:01):
to get the quirk out. I don't even think that
says enough about J. J. McCarthy's playing. I think you
need a jackhammer of some sort to get the quirk
out because he's not been great to say the very least.
And I think at lambeau Field, the Packers are going
to be tough to be at six and a half points,
that's a fair amount to give up. It's right between
six and seven points. But I think that roll over
(30:25):
the Vikings. It gives me pain back in the pack
But I'll go Green Bay minus six and a half
at home against.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
The Purple Great news for Vikings fans, Yeah, not this year.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Spread swing.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
You know we're going to be hearing after Sunday's tilts.
Oh oh, come on.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Michael Penns junior out for the season, Kirk Cousins in
and I get Kirk Cousins has not looked great in
his small done not the.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Best quarterback for football name of the best quarterback on
the roster, that is your injured guy, Michael. I would
still play Michael Pennock's injured before.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
I think generally speaking, though, Kirk Cousins should be one
of the better backup quarterbacks in the National Football League.
And this is a big opportunity for Kirk, who's been
kind of cast away now here over the last year
and change, a chance to get back on the national radar,
maybe get another job next season. And it's all gonna
start with taking on the one of the worst teams
(31:31):
in football, the New Orleans Saints. And to me, if
one of the worst teams in football is favored, I'm
going to go the other way.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I think.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
I think we're gonna hear a lot of like that,
like that for your Atlanta Falcons. I'm gonna take Atlanta
and Kirk Cousins plus one and a half at the
New Orleans Saints this weekend.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Just give me an ear.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Spread sway.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Before I get to my pick. What can't you tell
me about Kirk Cousins.
Speaker 5 (32:06):
Well, I know he's a man First off, he's a man.
Second of all, he's a human being, and third of all,
he's a quarterback. That's all I need to know about.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
Yeah, how I.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
You know, I'm forced to take it now because it's
how are they at ten point?
Speaker 7 (32:23):
Did anybody watch that offense they're playing the Giants?
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Well, it doesn't matter that choice different at home they
are They can blow teams out home, especially bad teams.
Speaker 3 (32:32):
Yeah, well that's what we thought.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
One.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
You know, they don't take them. I'd love to take them.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
I have to take them.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
You don't have to skip them. I'll take him on
the way back. You wouldn't take that, kid, I sure would.
Minus ten, they can win that game by.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Twenty eighth, you've been unfiltered. I'll go with the Lions,
even though I think it's it's a dangerous game. I
they I don't know, they're they've gotten not cats have
nine lives, and I think they've just about run out
(33:11):
of them. But I'll tell you I don't know what
else to say. It was they looked so discombobulated last week,
and this is when they've played quality teams. They haven't
played I mean, they've kept games interesting, but I don't
know I'll take them, though.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
I love how you're taking a minus ten and then
ripping them.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Well, I have to take them, joy spread swing.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
Man.
Speaker 7 (33:44):
I'm so tempted to take the Vikings because the Packers
are three and seven against the spread this year. Take them,
come on, because honestly it's between the Viking and the Bears.
And but the Bears.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Yeah, Walks about to come out of your guy. The Bears.
There's when they they win by three, you know what
I mean? They don't.
Speaker 7 (34:03):
I don't ever beat anyone by seven to ten points,
so I can't take him against it.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Half is a lot of points.
Speaker 7 (34:08):
It is when the Vikings Packers series, you know, anything
can happen. And I think the Bikings defense is is
good enough to keep a Packer team that's struggling at home.
Like I said, they're three and seven against the spread,
So I'll go against it.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Have some fun. I'll take take the purple. And JJ
is better on.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
The road than he is at Ole.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
You like this kid, don't you? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (34:31):
Well maybe next year at this time I will. Yeah,
So I'll go with the Purple one more time.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
You were just on the air yesterday talking about how
you don't have the same feeling in JJ McCarthy. Thet
your opinion changed down.
Speaker 7 (34:44):
Does mean their defense is any You know that Green
Bay's offense is anything right home about. And I don't
know if Josh Jacobs is going to play, and.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
He is sounds like he made some progress today. I'm
sure he'll he's going to play. He just runs straight ahead.
He's a tough guy.
Speaker 7 (34:56):
He is a tough guy, tough runner. But I'll go
with the Bikings. That's a lot of points. The Green
Bay doesn't cover you.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
Spread swing.
Speaker 5 (35:11):
Well, I'm going head to head not once but twice
this week, and it's with the same person because Mark Rosen.
All the Chiefs are done. I like Indianapolis. Yamma can't
stop Johnathan. Daddy can't stop Johnathan. The police can't.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Stop John Taylor.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
The Colts are going to not maybe not destroy the Chiefs,
but get three points to take the better team in
this matchup. I think the Chiefs are extremely overrated. I
don't know how I've consistently seen them as high as
they are on Super Bowl odds and power rankings. To
(35:51):
go in and beat the Chiefs that arrowhead. So we're
going head to head. We're going to see this shake
up a whole heck.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
Of a lot.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
I'm going with the Indianapolis called I like him in
this matter.
Speaker 7 (36:01):
They're both noon games on Sunday, so I think this
first time has ever happened.
Speaker 1 (36:05):
And Spread Swing, Yeah, like it, Man Rose, You're gonna
arn a lot of points this week. Congratulations what.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
We'll see you right, spread Swing?
Speaker 2 (36:22):
No sniping for me today?
Speaker 1 (36:23):
And they get two games that I really really like,
So just a matter of deciding which one I want
to go with. Uh. I was actually surprised Rosen didn't
go back to this team again this week because he
earned thirty two points in them last week, and San
Francisco is minus seven against Carolina. San Francisco now seems
to be healthy and looking like the forty nine ers
that we've seen in previous seasons, where brock Party was back,
(36:45):
their number one receiver Ricky Pursall was back last week,
and Carolina just came off an emotional overtime win at Atlanta.
They got let down written all over them, especially once
he had to travel all the way across the country.
So I'm gonna go with these San Francisco forty nine
ers minus seven against the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Why don't you double down.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Spread swing?
Speaker 2 (37:17):
How does Mike Tys spell Eagles g E? That was
the one I was deciding between.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
Yeah, yeah, I'm going to take the Eagles. I am.
I know they're they're on the road, it's three, and
they're favored by three. But I just I still I
don't like Dallas to begin on like Philadelphia either, But
I've never liked Dallas at America's team things, so part
of it is it really doesn't even it shouldn't factor
(37:47):
into my pick. But I don't like him, and I
don't think they're very good. I think they're overrated. I
think I know they they can score a little.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Bit, right, score a lot, score a lot. But but
Philip def is as good as it gets. I think
that front four is as good as any of the league.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
And they are like they're they're looking like the rams
a against the Vikings the playoff last year. Week can
just rush four and get to the quarterback every time.
And because so much easier to play defense.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Detroit's defense had just come up. They switched play callers.
They took John Morton out. Campbell put the headset on
and the readers two weeks ago and they put up was.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
It forty four? Who do they play again?
Speaker 3 (38:27):
I remember wor Yeah, they put they put forty and
I know the commanders aren't e good, but they put
up forty four and everybody's talking about Bob.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
I just needed to do.
Speaker 3 (38:34):
And then against you saw what happened against Philadelphia. They
were three of something on you know, three or thirteen
on third downs. They they they were zero for five
and four downs. It couldn't they couldn't they had they
moved the ball on a couple of possessions at best.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
The last two weeks, Lines and Packers have combined for
sixteen points against Philadelphia.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
Yeah, sixteen exactly. So those are quality offenses. So I
think I think Dallas will struggle to move the ball
and I'll take Philadelphia and I'll give the three points.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
That's it. There we go, There we go. Good luck,
they carried deuce. We'll see you when you get home.
Speaker 5 (39:10):
Yeah, that sounds great. Thanks for having me, guys, I
appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
Do you know do you know where your keys are?
Speaker 5 (39:16):
Probably they're right on my desk. I won't have to
rifle anything or move a couple thirteen fourteen blankets to
find them. I know right where they are.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Gotcha, all right, I'll see you tonight. Thanks, my boy.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Be careful coming home.
Speaker 5 (39:26):
Yep, sound greats you bet.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
There's a deuce, Well, there's spreads. Swing will take a break,
come back. I would to go with the legendary Mark
Rosen right here on the fan.
