different games, depending on the elements, depending on injuries, depending
on any potential obstacles. We're going to try to find
a way to win a football game by any means necessary,

was our kicking game with will and some tough elements

for us with their performance on Sunday, and we and
we did enough offensively with with some adversity that kind
of hit along the way to win the football game.
Short week, not necessarily looking at a short week, more
so a fast opportunity that we'll be here before we
know it. And our team is really excited to be
back home, playing on Thursday, playing in.

It's a chance for us to continue to put on
display the growth of this team, the mindset of this team,
despite you know, circumstances. These guys want to win every
football game we got left. And it's gonna be really

NFC North football and this game means a lot to us,
and we're putting everything we've got into it, you know,
know when we get a chance to playing in front
of our great fans again at US Bank Stadium here
to close the season. A couple times to give you
guys an update, JJ McCarthy. We did continue to get
further imaging beyond the initial X ray and beyond even

the initial MRI. I got some further imaging and it
was discovered he does have a very very small hairline
fracture that was discovered in his hand. We are not
expecting to have him this week. I do not think
this is anything that will require surgery. You know, similar
kind of recovery is kind of similar to a bone bruise.

But obviously there is a small hairline fracture in there.
And we'll keep you guys posted about his availability next week.

Been really really happy and proud of the way JJ
through the kind of final stands of the season here
has has really really took some big steps and grown
and it's been a blast, you know, being with him
every day and kind of being along that ride with him.

the season and and we're you know, experiencing again here

on a fast opportunity type short week that doesn't take
away from the growth we've seen from JJ. So he's
he's dialed in, he's you know, out, he was out
here for the walkthroughs, you know, being a part of
things and wants to stay one, locked and loaded in
the hopes of returning next week hopefully. But obviously we're
gonna be smart with him and see where, see where.

Ryan knows that just so much, so much respect for
Ryan as a player and just the way he you know,
obviously took the amount of time he did and was
fighting to get back on the field and and felt
ready to go, and we were kind of holding back
a little bit beyond that, and then when he when
he returned to the field, just the impact he's had
on our offense over these.

So we need Jergs to step up and and play
a huge role for us. And and I know Ryan's gonna,
you know, do everything he can to help Jergs get

in regards to the roster management discussions and things like that,

you know that leave that to the personnel department. But I,
you know, Ryan and I will continue to have dialogue.
The most important thing for me has been making sure
that just he spends the majority of his time, you know,
with with the medical folks and making sure he's in
a good place.

he did feel it on that play, just.

I was right there on the sideline and he had
his first real pain, he said he felt when they
were checking certain spots of his hands.

you know, really what it is and everything, it's just
it's one of those things. It's just about his grip
strength and his ability to grip the football and throw

roster last week. It's given us some opportunities maybe elevate

He did everything he could to get to the game.
And what an unbelievable display of leadership and just how
much all of this matters to him and how much
his teammates mattered to him, the fact that he was

into his celebration. So nothing that I even think I
gave him a high five running off the field because
it was I thought it was a massive play in
the game. Another great example of him using that athleticism
on a weighty down to to kind of make it
right for us. So no, I had not you know,

we were really I used the time out with the
defensive stop because I knew the Giants were getting the
ball and wanted to be aggressive. And then you know,
as that next series kind of started, we started off
with a run and then there was a little bit
of trying to communicate via you know, him being in
the middle of the field is not always easy to do,
and you know, tried to call a simple safe play

that we had had some execution on or in the
game to Jets, just a simple receiver screen, and you know,
he was unable to dish that ball out there by
not having a grip.

for us with their performance on Sunday, and we and
we did enough offensively with with some adversity that kind
of hit along the way to win the football game.

NFC North football and this game means a lot to us,
and we're putting everything we've got into it, you know,

guys an update, JJ McCarthy. We did continue to get
further imaging beyond the initial X ray and beyond even

the initial MRI. I got some further imaging and it
was discovered he does have a very very small hairline
fracture that was discovered in his hand. We are not
expecting to have him this week. I do not think
this is anything that will require surgery. You know, similar
kind of recovery is kind of similar to a bone bruise.

But obviously there is a small hairline fracture in there.
And we'll keep you guys posted about his availability next week.

Been really really happy and proud of the way JJ
through the kind of final stands of the season here

on a fast opportunity type short week that doesn't take
away from the growth we've seen from JJ. So he's

gonna be smart with him and see where, see where.

Ryan knows that just so much, so much respect for
Ryan as a player and just the way he you know,
obviously took the amount of time he did and was
fighting to get back on the field and and felt
ready to go, and we were kind of holding back
a little bit beyond that, and then when he when
he returned to the field, just the impact he's had
on our offense over these.

So we need Jergs to step up and and play
a huge role for us. And and I know Ryan's gonna,

in regards to the roster management discussions and things like that,

with with the medical folks and making sure he's in

Know, on his last play of the day. He said
he did feel it on that play, just.

The fact that he didn't could not grip the ball. Yeah,

he really felt it was when after that play.

I was right there on the sideline and he had
his first real pain, he said he felt when they
were checking certain spots of his hands.

Curely, just you know, with with this injury and the
you know, really what it is and everything, it's just
it's one of those things. It's just about his grip
strength and his ability to grip the football and throw
the ball.

What about Jordan Mason and how he's doing.

Yeah, he's uh, he's still feeling it.

roster last week. It's given us some opportunities maybe elevate

He did everything he could to get to the game.
And what an unbelievable display of leadership and just how
much all of this matters to him and how much
his teammates mattered to him, the fact that he was

through a similar process, a little bit expetited timeline and see.

he got up, gave a you know, gave a pretty

significant high five to Jets, and then got into got
into his celebration. So nothing that I even think I
gave him a high five running off the field because
it was I thought it was a massive play in
the game. Another great example of him using that athleticism
on a weighty down to to kind of make it
right for us. So no, I had not you know,
there was no there was no feeling there. You know,

we were really I used the time out with the
defensive stop because I knew the Giants were getting the
ball and wanted to be aggressive. And then you know,
as that next series kind of started, we started off
with a run and then there was a little bit
of trying to communicate via you know, him being in
the middle of the field is not always easy to do,
and you know, tried to call a simple safe play

that we had had some execution on or in the
game to Jets, just a simple receiver screen, and you know,
he was unable to dish that ball out there by
not having a grip.

You know, just when do you think you've heard it all?
It's not a short week ten to be it's a
fast opportunity.

just talk one in the Vikings who are playing for contracts,
playing for for a one more two more times to
try to press the ball to take the ty Feltons

If not the Vikings, other teams who are looking, you know,
to fill their rosters. So you know, obviously Max Brosemer
wants to play well. I mean it's uh, there's such
a dearth of backup quarterbacks in this league right now.
It's stunning, honestly, when you look at the front line
quarterbacks that roam the NFL and rule the NFL. Then
you look at many of their backups and you just

kind of starting with the guy who had to come
in we played last night, when you look at forty
four year old Philip Rivers. But y, so, I don't know,
I mean I think that, Yeah, generally speaking, you know
at this point, you know they're gonna. I don't think
it matters once the game's over, They're not gonna they're

they ended up winning by six in overtime, so I
gained seven on that one. So I'm in the lead
with eighty eight and a half. Common, you're in second

would say I'm out, but they're not.

short he could call it a fast opportunity for the
Dallas Cowboys in this one. Dallas' offense is good, Washington's

defense is bad, so Dallas' offense should put up a
lot of points here. On the other side of the ball,
Washington already shut down Jaydon Daniels for the year, and
it sounds like Marcus Mariota might not go in this
one because he heard he hurt his throwing hand in
the last games. That means something called Josh Johnson could
get the start for Washington. So uh, if there's one

team that could run up the score here, especially now
that the pressure's off for him a little bit, I
think it's gonna be the Dallas Cowboys. So I'm gonna

more glamour and glitz to it. I'll take the Buffalo

Bears are the best team in pro football. I think
the Bears are going to win the big game. I

where the the Superchargers are favored by two and a
half points at home. But I mean the Houston Texans,

They got the best defense in football, and the Chargers
have both of their tackles on ir for the rest
of the year. And one thing Houston can do is

they can rush the passer from the edge with Danielle
Hunter and Will Anderson. So I think they are going
to be getting to Justin Herbert all day long, and
I'm going to be getting two and a half points
on it. So I'll take Houston plus two and a
half on the road at LA.

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three).
