Speaker 1 (00:00):
Man.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
All right, Devin, big moment for you, first time ever
posting time.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Now for five questions, well, actually three, but five sounds
like more than four. Question number one.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
So, coming into the season, I feel like when we
looked at the schedule of the Minnesota Vikings, yeah, it
was pretty consensual that you better get off to a
hot start before the bye because then after the bye
there's just good team after good team after good team,
and it's gonna be tough to win those games. But
now that we're actually behind the bye and we're in

(00:58):
this quote unquote gauntlet, it's looking a little bit easier.
We already talked a little bit about Philly struggles. And
then after that, the Vikings travel to La to face
the Chargers on a Thursday night. Thursday night games are
always weird, but Chargers are a little banned up in
the last three weeks, they haven't looked as dominant as
they did in the first two. And then you're going

(01:21):
to Detroit. That'll be a tough game. They look to
turn it around after week one, but then you got
the Ravens, and the Ravens are sitting out what one
in five, Yeah, and Lamar could possibly be back but
maybe he's out and that defense has looked horrendous. So
my question for you is what record do the Vikings
need in these next four games for a legitimate shot

(01:43):
and making the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Well, first off, I do want to say that was
a very Dan Burero like question, so very lengthy.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I had sent this text to common and I don't
think he ever got to it a day or two ago.
Through five weeks, do you know who's had the easiest
schedule in the National Football League?

Speaker 5 (02:07):
That would be your Minnesota Vikings.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
That was my guess, only three and two against the
easiest schedule in the Nation Football League. The rest of
the way, do you know who has the hardest schedule
in the National Football League? And this is all based
off of current standings, right, that would be your Minnesota Vikings.
We are going from the easiest to the hardest. I
know you're focusing on the next four games, but even

(02:29):
after those four games, there ain't a lot of easy
spots the rest of the way.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Now, for the next four.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
I had said before the season, hey, you gotta be
four and one after five games, because that is going
to be a challenge. Did not get to the four
and one mark. Now that four game stretch you're talking
about maybe doesn't look as challenging as what it once did.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
Right like four.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Weeks ago, we've thought of Philadelphia Eagles as one of
the best teams in football. I think there's still a
good quality team. I still think it's still gonna be
a tough game. The LA Chargers got off to a
three and oh start. They beat to Kansas City Chiefs
in their first game. They looked like they were one
of the best teams in the AFC. They have fallen
apart since apparently it's playing the Giants makes teams fall apart.

(03:21):
But I still think at LA on a short week,
I think that's a challenge. At Detroit they might be
one of the best teams in football. I think that's
a challenge and I am not ready to write off
the one in five Baltimore Ravens. Part of the reason
they are one in five is the health of Lamar Jackson. Clearly,

(03:41):
their defense hasn't been as good as we are accustomed to,
but there is a big difference between Lamar Jackson and
Cooper Rush leading the way for the Baltimore Ravens, and
that one's still four weeks away. I'm imagining that Lamar
Jackson is healthy by them, and I would not write
out the raven right off the Ravens. By the way,
I don't know what Lamar status is for this week.

(04:01):
If he is one hundred percent ready to go, I
can easily see the Ravens going out of you know,
nine to one in ten game stretch because I think
they are good enough to do that with Lamar.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
So my point being this.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Upcoming four game stretch, I probably one point when it
said we're going one and three, zero to four during
that stretch.

Speaker 5 (04:22):
Now, I think if you go two and two, I'd
be okay with that.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
If you go three and one, I'm going we got
ourselves a legitimate NFC contender on our hands.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
That would be great.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
That's what we're talking We're talking about six and three
teen that just got through that gauntlet. Now, it doesn't
get much easier after that. I mean Chicago and week eleven.
They're respectable at Green Bay is going to be tough,
at Seattle is going to be tough Washington, and Jade
Daniels is going to be tough even at Dallas. As
awful as their defense is, and we should be able
to go up and down the field on them. Dak

(04:53):
Prescott in that offense is good enough that they can
stay in games. So that's definitely not That's not a
gimme at New York. I still think they're going to
be a bottom team in the NFC, but Jackson Dart's
giving them a little bit of a spark, and it's
on the road, and then you finished with the Troy
and Green Bay, so there ain't a gimme the rest
of the way. So I don't know if I answered

(05:14):
your question, but yes, I am concerned about the schedule.
It is imperative that this team is healthy the rest
of the way. The lineup and the roster we've had
to play the last three four weeks will not farewell
against this schedule. No, But if the offensive line is healthy,
if your key players on defense is healthy, we do
have a chip in a chair, I think in all

(05:35):
of these games.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Question number two.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
So, looking at some preseason odds coming into the season,
the top five teams before the season started were Philadelphia, Buffalo, Baltimore,
Kansas City, and Green Bay. To win the Big Game yep,
and all of those teams at least to me have

(06:03):
some holes.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Philly We've already talked about a little bit. Buffalo.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
I looked at their schedule and it looks like their
only wins are against the Jets, Dolphins, and Saints.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
They might be the weirdest of them all. It's so odd.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
And then the other teams, the Ravens, they could definitely
figure out that defense. I don't want to completely write
them off either. And then Kansas City is just they're
so weird, but they have the winning They're gonna be good,
Yeah they are, But there's there are another team that
they've had a challenging schedule.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
They have, so.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Since all of those teams are have questions, do you
think they're still the favorites in the NFL to make
the big Game? Or do you like someone else, like
the Colts have gone off to a good start, What
do you think about them?

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Like, it's hard to fully analyze the Colts because because
there was zero expectations on Indie going into the season,
they haven't been on one of those nationally televised games. Right,
they haven't been on a Thursday night, Sunday night, Monday night.
They're not playing in that primary three thirty game against
an AFC power. So all of my knowledge about Indianapolis

(07:17):
is basically watching ESPN NFL game day and looking at
box scars.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
Feel like I'm in the same boat too, And you.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Know, I know their schedule hasn't been the toughest, but
they've been dominating their schedule.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
It's not like they're barely now.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
They barely got by Arizona this week, but a lot
of these games when they're playing the Tennessees of the world,
they're punishing these teams. They're putting up forty points. I
still need to like watch a Daniel Jones game in
Indy first before I make a strong conclusion on them.
But I would still think even though Buffalo has been
struggling a lot of these teams, there is not a

(07:53):
clear cut perfect team in the NFL right now.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Every team.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
You can write a flaw on all of them and
explain why they are not going to advance. But Pat
Mahomes is Pat Mahomes. Andy Reid is still Andy Reid.
They seem like they figured it out the last couple
of weeks. They beat a pretty darn good Detroit team
at home. They're getting Rashie Rice back this week, who

(08:19):
is their best pass catcher after getting Xavier Worthy back,
so they were without their two best options in the
passing game for a good chunk of the season. They
haven't been able to run the ball. Defensively, they've been
a little but they were a little better against Detroit.
I still think, and it's the boring cliche way to go.
I'm still pushing chips in on the Kansas City Chiefs

(08:42):
if I can, in spite despite of the three and
three record and Buffalo, I still think I can't imagine
New England Patriots are gonna be better than the Buffalo Bills.
But in the end the year, maybe Drake May and
that crew will surprise me. But the weird right, I mean,
you know, really, as Aaron Rodgers and Pittsburgh, I don't

(09:03):
look at the Steelers as their playoff team. I don't
look at them as big game contenders. I don't look
at the Colts yet. And like I said, I got
to watch them, Chargers and Broncos both at four and two.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
They both have flaws. You know, you'd like to think New.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
England's going to be improved, but are they going to
go from like a five win team to be in
a big game to contender.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
That doesn't happen very often. Usually you're taking steps up.
So I'll still go with the Chiefs and maybe I'm
maybe I'm on my own at this point.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
I think I'm kind of with you for the most part.
If I had to pick the Super Bowl matchup right now,
would probably be Chiefs Lions.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
But just the game we saw last week on Sunday Football,
that'd be a heck of a matchup in the Big Game.
I know, I told you five questions. That's not how
it works on the show. Usually five turns into three,
but today it just turned into two.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
And that's it for today's edition of five questions. Well
actually three questions, but five sounds like more than four.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
The other start of this break before we get to
NFL Spread Swing in about fifteen minutes, will do the
more you know, and let's talk about the Minnesota Wild
a little bit. It's a little early to panic on
the five on five play Fan Tennafitzgerald sails on NFL

(10:34):
Spread Swing in about ten minutes. Devon's with me as well, Devon.
We like to learn something every day. Whenever we're in
the ten of Fitzgerald.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
The more you know.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
You ready to learn something absolutely trivia question for you.
Uh oh, which country in the world has the most pyramids?

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Pyramid?

Speaker 5 (10:59):
Egypt?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
You're going with Egypt, who We've been fooled our entire lives.
And the thing in Egypt was like the king of
the pyramids. Egypt right now has that we know of
one hundred and eighteen pyramids that have been discovered.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
There's another country with over two hundred and twenty pyramids,
almost double what Egypt has. And we're not talking like
fake structures. Now put up, We're done about real ancient structures.
These pyramids get to basically no tourists, no media attention.
They are just ruins that are quietly sitting in the
desert in Africa. They were built by a forgotten empire

(11:41):
named the Kingdom of Kush And now their pyramids were smaller, steeper,
tightly packed, and for centuries they laid buried beneath these
sand and even today many of these pyramids remain unexcavated,
so we still don't know the full story that is
hiding beneath them. The actual pyramid capital of the world

(12:01):
is a country called Sudan. You did not know that,
did you, I did not. The more you know, you
want to talk a little bit of a Minnesota Wild
four games end of the season, they are two and two.

(12:21):
And the panic I'm sensing on social media from Wild fans,
and let's face it, there's constant panic with Wild fans
is they are concerned about the lack of five on
five goal scoring. And the team has not scored a
five on five goal now in three games. Now they've

(12:43):
scored ninth straight power play goals. They're power players. Is
absolutely outrageous. And there's a couple different components of this.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
One.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Are people just now learning four weeks in or four
games in that we don't have scoring depth, Like I'm
just not like flustered by this, Like this is my
expectation was we weren't going to have a lot of
scoring depth. So the fact that we don't have a
lot of scoring depth has not blown my mind to
this stage. And when you complicate that with a player

(13:18):
in your top six and Matt Zucarello's out for a
while and a fourth line center Nico sterm is out
when fully healthy, this team needed more offensively and didn't
have the depth to overcommanders. Now we didn't know how
some of the young guys are going to perform, So
I guess there was maybe still some hope that a

(13:39):
year off or an o grin is going to step
up offensively and fill the void we've been missing.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
I think that eventually they will.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
It's probably not going to happen this season, at least
to a consistent rate at a professional NHL level. But
I never had expectations going into the season that, man,
our second, third, fourth lines are just going to be
rolling and we're just gonna throw four lines at teams
and going to be scoring.

Speaker 5 (14:02):
We knew they were top heavy. Right now.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
They are extremely top happy, and it's in a good way.
And that for the longest time we've been wanting star power.
Here we have superstars. Carill Caprisov is a superstar and
he's playing like it right now. Matt Boldy, I believe,
is going to be a superstar. He's playing at a
superstar level right now. Enjoy that you have superstars. Enjoy

(14:28):
that they're playing an elite level. Enjoy that the power
play which we've been crying about for the last thirteen
fourteen years has exploded to another level.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
And I don't care how the goals go in. I
don't care if they're five on five.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
I don't care if they're power play, I don't care
if they're shorthanded the wild. They're scoring goals right now.
They are a top ten team in the league in
scoring goals. They are averaging three and a half goals
per game. And you know what, they've done that without
one of those fake, cheapy empty net goals to add
on to it. Right, Dallas had two empty net goals
the other night. Looks like they had a great scoring night.
They scored five goals. They didn't. They got three and

(15:03):
two cheapeas. We've yet to add a cheap eat to
our total. And we're still a top ten team in
the league. And if you have concerns to me the
fact that we've given up three point seventy five goals
per game and have not looked the same defensively, that
is more of a concern to me than the five
on five scoring. Now there's equity there. Jared Spurgeon historically

(15:27):
has been a good player. Jonas Brodein historically has been
a good player. He's coming off of an injury he
didn't have a chance to prepare. Brock Faber has looked
a little rough at moments. I've seen two years of
brock favor where he looks like an ascending young NHL defenseman.
I have a belief that brock Faber is going to
turn it around. Maybe the most encouraging player has been

(15:49):
Zee Buoyam very young was he nineteen twenty years old defenseman.
We saw him in the postseason last year and he
was thrown right into the mix out of the University
of Denver without playing a regular season game. Why you
jump right into postseason hockey against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
And was playing a limited role, And there's an adjustment.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Pier there, There's no doubt there's an adjustment, and he
got a healthy scratch after the first couple of games.
He looks different this year, oh yeah. And right out
of the gate in game one, you can tell his
mentality was different than what we saw last year. Last
year was I'm trying not to make mistakes. I don't
want to screw up. This year it's I'm going to

(16:32):
be a player on this team. And even in the
first game or two, he made mistakes. He was fumbling pucks,
he was whiffing on shots. He would randomly like topiic
and lose an edge and fall over for no reason.
But he is progressively now. From Game one to Game
four this season has looked better every game, and I
thought the Dallas game was the best he's looked. He's

(16:53):
going to add to your five on five offense. Even
if you don't.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
I get it. You're not happy with Marcus Johansson on
the second line. I get it.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
When Marcus Felino started the season on the second line,
you weren't happy with that.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
That is just the way we are built and constructed
right now. There is a reason fans don't want to
hear this.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
There's a reason Bill Garreon and Craig Leopold are basically
a year ago were like, hey, we're in year two
of five year process. They are not through the five
year process yet. This is a building thing. It's going
in the right direction. I like the way it's going.
But this is to me, and I mentioned this have
common yesterday. I believe to me, if you want a

(17:30):
successful extended postseason run for the twenty twenty five twenty
twenty six season, the blueprint for me is caprice a boldie,
Eric Sinek, stay healthy and perform the way they are
performing so that you are you know, I'm not expecting
they're going to be number one in the Western Conference

(17:50):
with that roster, but you just want to be in
the mix where you can be buyers, come trade that
trade deadline. That's all you need to do here is
you don't have to be the the top team in
the West, as long as you're in the playoff mix
or even in the top eight of the playoffs in
the West, be in the mix and come trade deadline.
As we were just talking with Dane Moore about Timberwolves,

(18:12):
will they be big game hunting For the first time ever,
we are in a financial position where come trade deadline,
we can be big game hunting and we can actually
make additions to help our team in areas that we
have flaws. We haven't been able to address that in
previous years. The team we're going into the deadline with,
that's your team going in the playoffs. You're watching everyone
else getting better while you stay the same. This is

(18:34):
finally a different team now. It's on the wild and
the team to be in the mix to do that
with the current roster that is assembled, and they're probably
gonna have to stay healthy to put themselves in that position.
But now you are in a position where salary cap wise,
if we want to make a move before the trade deadline,
we can go get a top six forward somewhere else

(18:55):
that can now supplement the void we are currently missing.
But there's so many people that are like, why is
Johansen playing on the second line? Why is Felino playing
in the second line. I get it, they are not
second line players on a Stanley Cup winning team, on
a team that can make an extend to run. But
I also think like people just think like the coaching
staff is just idiots, like why would you play them there?

(19:17):
They see these guys in practice and training camp every
single day.

Speaker 5 (19:20):
I'm sh it.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
Takes a while for young players to adjust to the now.
Unless you are a complete superstar out of the gate,
there is an adjustment period.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
I've actually the limited we've seen of Europe. I've actually
liked him so far.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Ogrin just looks like another bottom six checking line forward
to me. I do think Bouyam is gonna be able
to add offensively, and we're starting to see that that
is starting to grow. I think he's going to be
winning the Calder this year because he's going to lead
the National Hockey League for rookies in terms of scoring.
He's gonna do it as a defenseman. But I would

(19:56):
just say, like I said earlier, I just want goals scored.
I don't care whether their power player five on five.
And if you're one of those that says, well, they
can't keep scoring at this rate in the power play,
I agree with you. But then I could also make
that same argument for five on five. If they were
out there five on five struggling to get shots on goals,
struggling to get scoring chances, I'd be more concerned. First

(20:17):
ten minutes against Dallas, they were all over them. They
had plenty of chances, ran into a hot goalie that
entire third period when they're trying to make the comeback,
plenty of chances. They put up fifty two shots on
the Columbus Blue Jackets, they scored against Saint Louis. Scoring
is not been an issue. The five on five will
come around, just as the power play is not going

(20:37):
to be clipping at this rate all season long. Do
I think they're going to be a great five on
five team. No, because they don't have the depth to
do it, But to think like Caprice affen BOLDI aren't
going to score five on five here in the next
four or five games, and you won't get occasionally adding
in some other goals from some others, and maybe ze
Booyam's going to add a five on five. I don't
believe that end of it either. I have a little concern.

(21:00):
That's fine, but I think the concern is a little
bit overrated. All right, even though Common is out, he
is joining next segment, so is Deuce, so is Mark Rosen.
NFL spread Swing is back next right here on the fits.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
How are you.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
I'm doing fine? Thanks for asking, even though he's not
here today, even on his off.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Day, even on his vacation when he is resting, probably
playing golf somewhere. He's still willing to join because he
is committed to the NFL Spread Swing segment.

Speaker 5 (22:18):
He's the common man Dan.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
Call hello, hello, Hello, Hello, hello hello, standing on the
first tea box at Stone Ridge, also known as kill Deer.
That's the name of the whole. We go from kill
Deer to Stone to Trial Bent, to Plateau, to Elm
to Redan Top and then breather. Those here first nine.
We don't refer to them by their numbers. We refer

(22:41):
to them by their names.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Can you explain to me how it is mea weekend,
everyone across state of Minnesota, all the kids don't have
school Thursday Friday off.

Speaker 5 (22:50):
Your kids are adults.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I have kids that are in school that are currently
at home that I am paying a babysitter to watch.
Why are you off on vacation while I'm working today.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
I don't understand. I don't know why you would. That's it.
I guess I was up to you. I just uh. Baby.
Brother Peter came back for fall break. He's got two
days and he wanted to play golf. And because you
know that's the kind of dad I am. You know,
I sacrificed and said, all right, I guess I'll play
thirty six with you other day and thirty six on Friday.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Well, it sounds like sounds like you're well, it sounds
like you're spending a lot of time with baby brother Peter,
but not spending any time with Deuce.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
What's going on, dude, Little of this, little.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
Of that, emphasis on the lat and I'm excited to
get into the week's recap. I was mocked and ridiculed
for some of my predictions, but I gained points. In
other words, the earth has stopped on its axis and
pigs have flown.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
But I'm having a.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
Great day, just chugging along through work and then I'll
be home for the evening. And I'm getting excited for Hosker.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
Oh My Red in the Twin Cities tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
It's going to be played white or blue white combo.
What seems you guys want to play.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
I think I'm gonna I think we're gonna do blue See,
I'll do.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Blue white combo. We're gonna do the blue white combo
bout sixty three hundred yards.

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Dude. They're gonna be at Huntington Bank Stadium tonight.

Speaker 6 (24:20):
I will be at Huntington bank. I think I'm gonna
I still got to take a look for tickets. I'm
hoping that the prices go down, because right now you
kind of have to fork over an arm and a
leg if you want to get into Huntington Bank. But
I'm hoping that the price is.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Some tickets.

Speaker 7 (24:38):
Ask your old man to kind of dig into that
pocket of his and just fork over some hard cash.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
Did he did it for your flight?

Speaker 6 (24:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Con No, I.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Wanted to connection.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
You know, I'm going to see Paul McCartney. I'm not
going to be what I'll be monitoring the score, but
I'll be at the I'll be at US.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
Bank tomorrow night.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
What much like Rose?

Speaker 7 (25:01):
Well, I mean we're having I think we're having dinner tonight,
me and me and Paul. Uh So we're gonna we're
gonna catch up a little later on. Oh I'm just kidding.
Of course, it's quickly before we get to spread swing.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
I don't know if I trust your football analysis to
ask you this, but can you preview Nebraska for US?

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (25:21):
Well, we got miniature Patrick Mahomes yea, but he's he's
not the player to watch on offense. That would be
Emmett Johnson. That's our guy.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
He's one of us from the.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
Academy of Holy Angels.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
And I saw a little video.

Speaker 6 (25:35):
Today with him and a couple other Nebraska players talking
about kind of their journeys to Division one football, and
Emmitt said, the only Power one offer he got, the
only Power five offer he got, was from the University
of Nebraska Lincoln. He wanted to be a Gopher, but
they didn't offer him. They didn't really look his way
too much. So I got a feeling. He's coming off
of a career high one hundred and seventy six rushing yards,

(25:57):
and I think he's going to run rough shot over
the Gophers defense tomorrow evening as the twenty fifth ranked
Huskers pick up a nice victory. I don't think they'll
cover their eight and a half points a lot spread,
but we've eight and a half points is the lost.
But we've seen, we've seen how I do against the spread,
so I don't. I wouldn't. I'd pick Minnesota to cover both.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Oh don't.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
Oh, mine might go and win by thirteen or fourteen point.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
We really wanted you to pick Nebraska, so we cash
in on the Minnesota go first.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
Correct.

Speaker 6 (26:29):
I couldn't do that to my almama.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
All right, let's talk about last week's scores and an
NFL spread swings. So going into the week, Common was
in the lead with forty nine and a half points,
Rosen in second with thirty and a half.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
I was in third with one and.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
A half, and Deuce was in last with minus fifty six.
We'll begin with the common man, Dan Cole. Common, you
had Detroit plus one and a half. They did not
fare too well in Kansas City. They lost by thirteen
of the Chiefs, so you lost. You lost seven and
a half points there, but you did gain a bunch

(27:02):
of it back. You believed in Aaron Rodgers and the
Pittsburgh Steelers. They beat the Browns twenty three to nine,
so fourteen point win. You had a minus sixty against
eight there. So on the week you lost three and
a half. You dropped the forty six and a half points.
Rosen you also split just like Common. You had Tampa
Bay minus three against San Franz. They won by eleven,

(27:23):
so you gained eight, but you took the opposite side
of Deuce and lost.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
I don't know how that's possible. Possibly happened that you had.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Buffalo minus four and a half against the Falcons and
they lost by ten.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
So you lost fourteen and a half points.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
So on the week you lost six and a half points,
you dropped down to twenty four. I'm the I actually
gained points even though I split as well. I had
Las Vegas minus three and a half against Tennessee. Tennessee,
they won by ten. I gained six and a half.
I also the Chargers minus three and a half against Miami. Well,
they only beat by two points, so I did lose
a point a half. I gained five on the week.

(28:01):
I'm now up to six and a half. And yes,
Deuce was correct. For the first time ever Deuce has
gained points in NFL spread swing. He had Atlanta plus
four and a half.

Speaker 5 (28:16):
I'll be I'll be honest.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
At the time when you pick that one, Deuce, I'm like,
they are not going to win this game, and they
won by ten. See you gain fourteen and a half
points there. You also had Indianapolis minus seven against Zona.
They won the game, but only by four. See, you
lost three points. But Deuce did improve from minus fifty
six to minus forty four and a half. So comm

(28:40):
Commons in first Rosens in second, I'm in third, Deuce
is in fourth. So our order today will be deuce TENA,
Rosen and common. Let's do NFL spread swing for spread swing.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
A bit bit bit bit bit bit a bit of it.

Speaker 6 (29:01):
So what we've seen so far in this twenty twenty
five season is that any team can beat any team. Really,
the Eagles and Bills seem to be like two of
the clear cut contenders in their conferences, and they still
very well could be, but they both looked pretty bad
in the past couple of weeks. Any team can beat
any team on any given Sunday or Monday or Toys Day,
doesn't matter what day they play them. But one team

(29:22):
that I don't think will lose this weekend is the
Chicago Bears. They're at home against the New Orleans Saints.
And while I don't think the Saints are necessarily the
worst team in the league, they're certainly among that bunch
down with maybe there may be a half step above
the Jets or the Tennessee Titans. But I think the
Bears are coming off of three They're coming up three

(29:44):
straight victories, I believe, and they look solid. And I'm
not saying that Washington is by any stretch the best
team in the league or the best team in the NFC.
But going on the road to pick up a nice
victory like that in prime time, even if it was
by the skin of their teeth, it's impressive. And I
think the Chicago Bears are starting to come into their
own and I will take dub Bears to beat Dem

(30:05):
Saints at Solderfield. I'll give up the four and a
half and take the Bears.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
I can't believe that my top choice was sniped by Deuce.
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
I don't know how I should feel about that. I'm
now starting to questioning question how I was viewing this week.

Speaker 6 (30:18):
I think I saved you rather than probably.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Spread swing.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
All Right, I had Chicago's. I had Chicago's my top choice.
I'm gonna have to pivot here, and I'm going to
stay in the NFC North. I'm going to stay with
your Minnesota Vikings. There plus one and a half against
the Philadelphia Eagles. This Eagles team is not the same
Eagles team that we saw last year. Their offense has

(30:52):
been bad. They are twenty eighth in the NFL and
yards per play. Minnesota's defense, by the way. On the
other hand, second in e PA and they get cash in,
cash out back. They maybe get Van ginkelback. Their offensive
line looks like they're gonna get four of their five
starters healthy and ready to go. Historically, if you take
the Minnesota Vikings that under as underdogs at home, that

(31:15):
usually pays off for you.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
I'm gonna take the one and a half points. I'm
gonna say Skull Vikings, good pick, and I am taking
the Minnesota Vikings plus one and a half.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
That spread swing, well, I'm gonna go.

Speaker 7 (31:31):
I go with the road teams ros my turn. Yeah,
go with the road team and a hot team right now.
I think this is gonna be the revenge I'm gonna
call it a revenge game. Mike Vrabel against the Tennessee Titans.
Drake May against the Tennessee Titans. They just fired Brian Callahan.
Tennessee is kind of a hot mess, and New England
is a legitimate playoff contending type team right now. Uh,

(31:54):
They've turned things around with their young quarterback and a
nice supporting cast, and I think Ray is going to
have those guys wound up the players old team and
it's a lot of points to give but I'll give
the seven and and and because I don't think Tennessee's
going to score much. So I'll take the Patriots, the revivee,
the reborn Patriots.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Sometimes teams get inspired by the coaching changes, though they
might want to play for the new game.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
Sometimes it works out that.

Speaker 6 (32:19):
Good luck with that win one for the gipper.

Speaker 5 (32:22):
Yeah, mister coach though, who knows, I don't even know
some interim guy. Yeah, of course. All right, spread swing
a bit bit bit of a where'd you hit it
on one?

Speaker 7 (32:38):
Well?

Speaker 1 (32:38):
I hit it right up to got then I funk
a wedge and it's here's a computer, fire it up.
I thought it was my turn on spread swing. Oh
no no, but now I just hit a brilliant little
sand wedge. The gimme rang. So I'm going to make
a four on the first goal. I'm on pay used

(33:00):
to shoot seventy two.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
Nice, incredible, well done. Uh oh, joined to fire the
music for you. Hold on, I wasn't prepared for that.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Hold on, we don't have to fare.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
We know what I'm going it.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Anyway, Yeah, all right, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Oh there is no I did hear I could hear?

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Okay, yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
I you know My team is is they've had four
wins in which they look really good against some competition
that left a lot to be desired. They played two
pretty good teams, well one I think Kansas City might
be back if they were ever gone anywhere.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Green Bay was gooder.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
So we've lost the two good teams one for Mayfield
that I this is dangerous. The only reason I don't
feel too bad about taking the kiddies is because it
is at home, so I got to stick with it.
I'll have to take the kiddies at home against Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay for field up.

Speaker 6 (34:04):
Bread have we've taken a look at all the games
that we've taken a look at so far, they feature
at least one team that you know has some playoff
aspirations or it's got potential to be an exciting matchup.
And I'm going to take a look at one of

(34:26):
the least exciting games that we've just seen in the
twenty twenty five season. We're going to look at the
Cleveland Brown on the Miami. First of all, they're playing
the game at Huntington banks Field, and I'm.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Real confused by that.

Speaker 6 (34:40):
I don't know why they would have a game at
a neutral site in the middle of the NFL season.
Why are they playing at the Golfers.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
Stadium College that.

Speaker 6 (34:50):
Yeah, it's really bizarre. I don't know why they would
do it the day after Yeah, it's the literally just
leave a full day Saturday. I guess that's probably why
they're doing the Friday game. Is thought they have all
of Saturday to prepare the stadium for the Browns and
the Dolphins. But I don't think this neutral site will
have too much of an impact on the game. I

(35:11):
think that these are two terrible teams with terrible cities
and terrible fans, but Miami is much has a much
worse defense. The Browns defense is going to impose their will,
and I like the Browns running back duo of Judkins
and four mostly Judkins even real solid during this season,
and I think the run game is going to be
easy key to the brown success. Again, it's not gonna

(35:33):
be a very exciting game, but I think with a
low point spread, this one has some routes potential. I
think the Browns will defeat the Dolphins and I'll give
up the two and a half points.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Wow spread swing.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
I do have interest in another really bad game Carolina
New York. But I'm gonna avoid that one. I'm gonna
go to the other game that involves a New York team.
That would be the Giants at plus seven at Denver
the Denver Broncos minus seven. The Giants coming off a
game in which the biggest win they've had in quite
some time. Right, Jackson Dart leads them to a thirty

(36:17):
four to seventeen victory over their division rival, the Philadelphia
Eagles and the defending NFL Super Bowl champions.

Speaker 5 (36:25):
You know what that means this week?

Speaker 2 (36:27):
Letdown game, emotional let down from the New York Giants
plus common.

Speaker 5 (36:32):
Guess what they gotta do. They got to travel from
New York to Denver.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
You got two hour time zone difference, you got jet
leg and you've got altitude. Jackson Dart hasn't played in
the altitude. The Denver Broncos are going to route the
New York Giants because the New York Giants played their
Super Bowl last week and now they're going to be
let down. I'm going to go Broncos minus seven against
the name.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
You're about to say something controversial.

Speaker 5 (36:55):
That's interesting, that's interesting. Romney got in a couple days
in advance.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Yeah, I just thought I really needed that's all.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
That's brilliant, all right, you're up. I was also going
to go with Denver. You like Denver, We like that
Denver club I like that Denver Clubs.

Speaker 7 (37:18):
We have a we have a wager they're going to
beat Kansas City, and I don't know if I feel
that good about that. I'm going to go stay in
that in that division though, And I think that the
Colts bubble is going to burst a little bit. Uh
traveling to uh Sofar where the Vikings play next Thursday,
by the way, as we all know, against the charge
same Chargers team. The Chargers are point and a half

(37:38):
favored against the hot Indianapolis team with Danny Dimes. But
I like the Chargers team. I think the Colts may
have a little bit of a rude awakening this week,
so I will go with the Chargers. It's only a
point and a half, so I kind of like the
opportunity to potentially.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
Gain some points here. So I'll go with the La
Child Superchargers.

Speaker 7 (37:57):
Superchargers at home one and a half point favorites against
the Colts.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
Spread swing.

Speaker 5 (38:12):
All right, comedy at the last pick about.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
How are they?

Speaker 1 (38:21):
How are the Bears only their favorite body?

Speaker 3 (38:24):
What five and a half, four and a half.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Only four and a half points against the Saints.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
That you already picked the Bears. You're probably taking a
shot at the Oh I was hitting the ball. Oh no,
well yeah, he he took him first, and then I
complained that that was my number one choice. So I
got sniped.

Speaker 6 (38:45):
Either are welcome. I've probably saved both of the Saints
will most likely pull the upside.

Speaker 5 (38:50):
The Bears still keep that.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Well, now, I don't know what to do it on
the games in front.

Speaker 5 (38:55):
Of me, you're going to go through them all for you.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Uh, just just rattle off a couple of grab one.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
Pittsburgh is minus five and five and a half at
Cincinnati tonight to get the Rams minus three versus Jacksonville
at London, Carolina minus one at the New York Jets,
Kansas City minus twelve and a half at Las Vegas.

Speaker 5 (39:15):
It's at home.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
I'm sorry I said that wrong. Yeah, they're at home
to Las Vegas. You can take the Miami side plus
two and a half against Cleveland. You can take the
Tennessee side plus seven against New England. Sounds like you
don't want to take the Saints. So you could take
Philadelphia minus one and a half against the Vikings, Indianapolis
plus one and a half against the Chargers, Giants plus seven.

Speaker 1 (39:35):
Against the Vikings. I'll take the Vices.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
No, they're gone to That's why I said, you can
only take the Philadelphia side.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Who took the Vikings I did.

Speaker 5 (39:42):
No, you haven't listened to a word in this segment,
have you?

Speaker 1 (39:46):
I can't. I'm playing golf. I should have just the half.
I payed my picks. This just gave me like rolls,
and that's a smart thing. I just typed it up
the middle on Stone, just a gorgeous drive.

Speaker 5 (39:56):
What do you take Sam Donald?

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Sam Donald and the Seahawks three against the Houston Texans
like the Packers.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 5 (40:05):
I will take that absolutely.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Old sham Donald had in.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
I'll take that.

Speaker 6 (40:12):
Yea for sure.

Speaker 3 (40:14):
All right.

Speaker 5 (40:14):
We'll keep hitting them straight and strong.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah, fun, Yeah, yeah, thanks guys, I'll see you soon.

Speaker 5 (40:20):
I was gonna give credit.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
I was going to give credit to him for taking
the time out of his day, even on vacation, to
spend time with this segment, and he didn't listen to
what I.

Speaker 5 (40:27):
Was going to say.

Speaker 7 (40:28):
That comments seemed distracted, but pretty much that's every day.

Speaker 5 (40:31):
Yes, it's basically yeah, me and doing five questions with him.
That's it.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
Yeah, dud, Just enjoy the game tomorrow night, but expect
Drake Lindsay Gopher's update tomorrow night or up upset tomorrow night.

Speaker 6 (40:44):
Yay kay, thanks for having me, guys.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (40:47):
Yeah, take care of all right.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
That's it for NFL spread Swing Mark Rosen in studio
for the next hour, and I do want to talk
about UH are starting to get a little bit of
clarity on maybe the quarterback situation for the Minnesota Vikings.
We'll talk about that next with Rosie
