dot com keyword contest to learn more and entery today.
That's kfan dot com keyword Contest.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
John Bonus, Marnie Gelmer, Marnie Gelner, John Bonas earning good morning.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
You don't all this talk about Rio and Jesus on
the Hill, I'm Jesus. I'm guessing no because your kids
aren't young enough. But have you seen the cartoon and
Corey you are animated movie Rio?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah? H cereo it.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
That actually is a really good movie.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
It has a Minnesota connection after that bird gets stolen
in Rio. But some of the scenery, and I know
it's animated, but the scenery of the birds flying around
Jay on the h and the and the movie, the
music that goes along with it, and just let me
take it a real.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah, that's it's a good one.

Speaker 6 (01:11):
And the the colorfulness of that animated movie does reflect
a lot like there's just a ton of murals.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
There's a lot, just a lot of colorful stuff going on.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
Brazil's I'll I don't know that I would be anxious
to go to seth Hollow again, but Christy has basically said, oh,
we're coming back to real like we're absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Carnival, which is depicted in the movie. Yeah, show a
lot of skin and get back there.

Speaker 6 (01:38):
So I will I will say that when the Vikings
play in Brazil, I'd still recommend people go there in part.
One of the reasons why is because it's also their
off season, is Brazil's off season, so you know, to
get on a tour to go see you know, Jesus
on the Hill. You know, it's real easy to get
tickets to that sore they it's the hotel prices are

(02:00):
not as expensive.

Speaker 7 (02:02):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
Like I said, the dollar is strong right now, give
basically the whole world. And uh, and I'd recommend making
the trip. It's and you don't and you don't have
to deal with the jet lag that you have to
deal with going over to Europe.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
You just I will say this.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
I it was easier to speak English in Japan than
it is to speak English.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
In Nobody speaks English in Brazil. I had my phone
out the whole time.

Speaker 6 (02:27):
You're gonna want to do a lingo for a couple
of weeks, Google translator and yeah, and Google translate to
learn learn a little bit of Portuguese.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
That's exactly what I was telling people to. Like, remote
parts of Japan where almost no tourist goes, has more
English than Rio Dejan. Yeah, I just had to speak
Portuguese everybody. That's right, Sauce, you speak a little Mandarin?
I done?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
How Hello? How about the Portuguese? What did you say? Hello? Hey? Hell?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Hi either so, man, I don't speak any Portuguese. I
barely speak English. You put it out every hour of
every day.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yes, you beatlejuice Zacho. You ready to go?

Speaker 8 (03:21):
This KFA in News with Chris Hockey presented by the

(03:42):
Saints baseball dot Com authorities are searching for a man
who they call a person of interest in a homicide
that happened in Washington County yesterday investigators believe forty five
year old Trevor Wonderlick is connected to the killing of
a woman at a home in Hugo. The local sheriff's
office says wonder Lick is considered armed and dangerous and

(04:03):
anyone who has information on his whereabout should call nine
to one to one. Officials are not sharing additional details
on the murder at this time. A former Minnesota lawmaker
is accused of giving alcohol to an underage woman. Misdemeanor
charges have been filed against forty four year old Jason Metsa.
The Saint Louis County Sheriff's office says Metsa has admitted

(04:24):
to offering whiskey to an eighteen year old woman he
met on Tinder and took to his Beady Township cabin
back in July. Also in July, Metsa was arrested for
criminal sexual conduct, force or corersion and was later released
without charges. Officials have not said whether the two criminal
cases are connected.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Two tough stories, but we were dangerously close to having
the last two names be wonder Lick and Mensa. Yeah,
so close, so close, a Minnesota department, that's the level
that I'm listening, you know what I'm saying. I didn't
hear almost anything that Zach just said because I was
fascinated by the fact that the guy's name was wonder Like,

(05:06):
even though it sounds like he killed somebody, which is terrible.

Speaker 9 (05:08):
Yeah, that's terrible, and it sounds like his mom based
on So there was reports last night, and I've got
friends that were obviously two go and they did a
massive search last night.

Speaker 8 (05:22):
I was hoping this morning that they would have found
him by now, but it sounds like is he abused
his mother for weeks. They finally she called nine one
one and was just moaning on the phone because she
obviously didn't want to alert him. They show up and
then administer all sorts of you know, life saving efforts,

(05:45):
but she apparently died on the way to the hospital.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
So horrible story.

Speaker 8 (05:49):
And yeah, it was a massive, massive police presence up
in the northeastern metro last night, so hopefully they can
find him. There's pictures if you got on social media,
there's pictures. Keep an eye out for that very very
very bad person. A Minnesota Department of Natural Resources pilot

(06:11):
is being recognized for rescuing two people earlier this year,
Gray Zeller has been presented with DNR's Life Saving Award.
Zeller was off duty when she responded by helicopter to
a call for help back in May after a group's
canoe went over in Curtain Falls, OH. She was able
to rescue Kyle Sellers and Eric Graham's The two other

(06:34):
members of the group did not survive, but Gray Seller
winning the DNR's Life Saving Award. Up in Curtain Falls, OH,
a group of children has started their own neighborhood newspaper
in South Minneapolis.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
The paper is called the.

Speaker 8 (06:51):
Elliott Avenue Gazette and is led by a seventh grader.
The paper covers local events, politics, and personal stories with
articles written by the cads themselves. The gazette, now in
its seventh edition, is delivered weekly to around twenty local residents,
and it even has an expanded to digital additions behind
them share a paywall. The project aims to highlight positive

(07:13):
news through the children's unique perspectives.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention?

Speaker 3 (07:19):
I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
That newspaper just went bankrupt. They laid off all the kids. Yep,
hey man, tough times. Can you imagine that comments section?
It's probably more adult than a lot of comment sections.

Speaker 8 (07:43):
Minneapolis based Target is looking for seasonal help. The retailer
announced yesterday that it plans to bring on one hundred
thousand seasonal employees this year to fill positions in its
stores and warehouses. Targets application window for seasonal help will
begin Ontember twenty fifth.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
I wonder if that's an average number. Is one hundred
thousand for the season pretty standard? Or is there a
reason it's in the news?

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Good question for mister Target or miss Target? Wow? Miss Target?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Ah hard, It's.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Man that it's an interesting number.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
There's almost two thousand of them, is that right?

Speaker 1 (08:33):
That seems to be a lot per store. Well, it's
warehouses as well. That's true.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Target has about four hundred and fifteen thousand employees, so
that's a twenty five percent.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Jumb damn bus. You're good at it.

Speaker 8 (08:51):
Many Minnesota motorists this week are seeing a drop in
prices at the gas pump. Triple A reports the average
price of regular fuel in the North Star state is
now three zero five per gallon. That's a drop of
four cents per gallon from last week.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Wow. What are we gonna do?

Speaker 4 (09:11):
They don't hear as much scuttle about about gas prices
these days, which makes me think that they're not as bad.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
It's correct or people just got tired of you.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
But can you imagine what the time when we are
happy that gas prices are in the low threes, because
about ten years ago maybe we would have lost our minds.
We did, in fact we did, and now we're like
three oh five eleven.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
That was last week, Corey, Yeah, three eleven The Beatles
of rapp Rock Zacho? Is that it? Sure? Okay? Cool?

Speaker 2 (09:52):
When we come back, we'll do sports sas can ask
Marnie about the links before Rosie gets here.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Nice enthusiasm, Come on, enthusiasm.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
We'll talk about Bryce Young and Kirk Cousins with an
epic drive and the twins are collapsing, John, can.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
You stick around for one more? We're gonna talk about
everyone's collapsing.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Yeah, power trip after this on the fan.

Speaker 7 (10:21):
The Power Hour is ah Live at eight am.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
You can head over to campeon dot com slash watch
to catch all of the actions. How would by quantum
fiber your world unleashed?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Right?

Speaker 4 (10:33):
Zachon?

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Oh, I'm sorry? Is that that we bothering you. Oh
I'm sorry, Paul, Yes, she did, she did, she did.
What were you doing?

Speaker 8 (10:46):
I was just trying to watch ESPN on silence and
then the just had to speak.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
H all right, So alls, are you ready?

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Man?

Speaker 7 (11:01):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Of course I'm ready, Corlis for what it's time for?

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Fan five on the Power Trip, presented by All Around
Property Preservation.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Until around, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
We're gonna bring up the most important thing first. The
Sun hosts the Links tonight at six o'clock. Good start, sorry,
one and a half point favorite. The over under is
one fifty five and a half.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Interesting Mark Minnesota doing Yes, I am, I am. It's
a six o'clock game tonight, and it's a very important one.
As you guys know, there are two games left tonight
and Thursday. If the Links win either of the two,
they have secured the two seedy nice.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
The two seed.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
It's almost surely going to happen, because the only way
the Links won't be the two seed is they lose
both of their games and Connecticut wins both of their games,
and the Links are for sure.

Speaker 6 (12:01):
One of these games is versus Connecticut tonight.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
It's very possible yeah, okay, but I deserve that. I
don't set anybody.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
And then Thursday the Links are home against Los Angeles
and that is a team in a free fall. So
I am very confident and I just hope it happens
tonight because this is the only team in the league
the Links have not yet beaten.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
We're zero to two against Connecticut.

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Lost the first game in overtime by one, Lo's the
second game by five.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
Is there a chance they end up meeting Connecticut in
the post in the playoffs?

Speaker 4 (12:33):
If sure, it's the number two seed, it would only
be in the finals.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
I think I would have to look at the Okay cracket, But.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
You are the potential matchups if we have the two seed,
Like is Caitlin Clark in Indiana one of them?

Speaker 4 (12:47):
No, because Indiana is the sixth seed, we would match
up right now with the Phoenix Mercury. That's probably how
it's gonna go to seven, will be Minnesota Phoenix.

Speaker 6 (12:56):
So you don't get like a first run by or
I think we have to remind me of how the
postseason three rounds.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
First round is best of three it and it is
interesting because it goes two one.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
So if the underdog.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Team forces a game three, it is on the underdog
team's home court. Interesting, that is something that the w
will going forward. But because they've never had they've never
had charter flights. They've always been commercial, so to be
able to fly just look at Minnesota, Phoenix, what if
it was Phoenix, Connecticut? You know, to get those places

(13:30):
back and forth is not easy because the first round
is best of three.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
The home team gets the home team the.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Better record gets the first two games, so the Links
will get the first two games, and if they don't
take care of business in two, they have to go
to the other team's home court.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Never giving the other team a home playoff game. That's
kind of badass. Just end it right.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
Last year the Links played Connecticut in the postseason, and
the Links won a game in Connecticut and forced.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
A game three at Target Center, which they lost.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
But then the second round and the finals are both
best of five, so then you have your traditional two
tube got it all right?

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Eight, it's still your turn. I would you can't do
that if the flights were the problem.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
I would think what they would have just done and said, no,
the home team just gets all three games, or the
higher seed the higher.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Seat just gets all three team that fought and scratched
and clawed and first seventh or eighth and said, we
got in here, We got in here, and you're not
even going to give us a game.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Oh, that's exactly what we're doing.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Last night we had a classic Kirko comeback as he
led the Falcons on a last but a touchdown drive
to beat the Eagles twenty two to twenty one. Kirk
threw for two forty one and two touchdowns in that
final drive. He was five of six and he was
not pressured once, not once, not once. They didn't bring

(15:01):
any pressure. They just went to a prevent defense, and Zacho,
what was your line?

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Prevent defense? Don't prevent nothing? All right? Both goals. Trademark
and the Falcons are one and one.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
The Vikings battle the Texans on Sunday at noon pregame
at ten.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
The Texans and the Vikings are both too and zero.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
The Texans are about a three point to a two
and a half point favorite.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
As of right now. We get our first injury report tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
ESPN has it as a two and a half point
favorite for Houston.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Over under forty five minutes. I still don't believe in
US drafts half as well. You're right, yeah, thank.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
You, but yeah, every coach KOs yesterday said that Dallas
Turner is day to day and he expects Justin Jefferson
to play as well. Awesome, uh bonus, yes, your turn.
The Twins to another game last night as they led

(16:04):
three nothing and then they scored one in the fifth,
and then in the seventh they got another one, and
then they took the lead for good in the eighth
with a two run home run.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
The Guardians took a four to three lead.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
The Twins went silent into the ninth and are in
a full collapse. They are seventy nine and seventy one,
and to make matters worse, the Tigers pulled off a
comeback of their own by beating the Royals seven to six,
so the Twins are now only a game and a
half lead over the Tigers for the final wild card spot.
Twins at Guardian tonight at five point forty. The Twins

(16:35):
have lost three of four and eighteen of twenty seven
or something. It's been a tough.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Rust sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
I almost thought he's your eyes.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
I did too, my heart, just John, I was like,
oh my god, wow to start it off, although that
would be more accurate, to be.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Honest, their squad, Johnny we gotta get it.

Speaker 6 (17:09):
Crivin Jacks has turned to melt down in the bullpen.
But you know it's also because Pablo Lopez, you know,
started struggling and that went six strong, and then in
the seventh inning ran out of gas. Bases are loaded,
no outs, They're trying to work their way out of
a gym. They finally do grifven Jacks gets credit for that.
He protected a three to two lead by getting the

(17:30):
last two outs even with the bases loaded. And then
he comes out in the eighth inning and he's having
some success and throws a ball inside and gets driven
to a right field for a home run. And you know,
while the bullpen seemingly takes turns melting down, the entire
lineup is also sort of melting down right now. They

(17:52):
they will get a couple of runs and then they
just shut it down for the rest of the game.
We're just not seeing consistent offensive offense at all from
this lineup. And it's been about a month month and
a half now, and that's after the return of Buxton
that's after the return of Korea.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
You know, we've got a.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
Lot of the young bats that we're carrying this team
have fallen to the slumps, or they're dealing with the
end of a long season, or they're dealing with injuries
and they're trying to play through them. And we've got
just a bunch of cold bats right now in that lineup,
and as a result of it, every game is close,
and every slip up the bullpen does matters.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
So I'll still argue Griffin Jacks is one of the
coolest names of all times.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Agreed.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
It sounds made up, though, Like it sounds like one
of those names that would be a bad guy in
like The Fast and the Furious franchise, right, Like Paul
Walker and Vin.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Diiso are taken on Griffin Jacks like an Air Force pilot,
Like that's his background.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
Gryffin angle, right, Yeah, Sauce, you get that bit right,
because the Griffin is a bird kind of yeah, it's
kind of a bird. It's a mythical British creatures a mens.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
A wonderlick meeting.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
The Panthers are bench the former number one overall pick
Bryce Young and they will start No. He's not dead.
They're starting Andy Dalton, who, as Court mentioned earlier, if
you'd told us he retired in twenty fifteen, I would
have believed you.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
I had no idea.

Speaker 3 (19:18):
He was still in the lease, still slinging at the
red rifle. He was a second round pick in.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Nineteen eighty two. I would believe twenty ten. No, I
don't know. I mean something.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
He's thirty six, so it's got to be closet, right,
thirty six years old.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
He was drafted in.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Twenty eleven eleven, Wow, thirty fifth overall pick in twenty elevenp.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Bryce Young was two and sixteen.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
In his eighteen starts, eleven touchdowns, thirteen interceptions. He's yet
to throw a touchdown this season. Think about what you
just said. Eighteen starts, eleven touchdowns. Yeah, that is just
the worst.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
That's so bad.

Speaker 10 (20:08):
That's really over.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Who else doesn't have any touchdowns yet? And those years?
Number one overall pick? All right? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Yeah, so it's over for him in Carolina, sure is, Yeah,
it is. Deebo Samuel is hurt. He will miss a
couple of weeks. He got hurt on a tackle that
happened in the Vikings forty nine ers game. What so
he is out as well as all the other people
that are hurt. A lot of fantasy teams are beat

(20:38):
up man Cooper Cup is now going to.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Go on on the on the ir out for nine years.
Yeah right yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
The Gophers battle the Hawk guys on Saturday at six thirty.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Pregame at four thirty. Both teams are two to one.
The hawk guys, though, are a two and a half point.
They who want some smoke.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
May not in relation to a bad but yeah you
want to, Yeah, I just want to go in the
parking lot or something.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Absolutely, where's the sensi as? Is that what they say?
Hand us that? OUI? Where's the sticky icky? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Hell yeah, granddaddy per Yeah, Rose knows about it.

Speaker 10 (21:27):
My boys would drug?

Speaker 1 (21:33):
I have no. I don't either. I haven't seen a
second of iowall football though, not that that checks only
second of Gopher football. I've watched a lot of it.
I'd rather see those.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Actually, I mean it's on in the background when I'm
doing other things, but it's technically.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
On the TV. Giving yourself the stranger? What does that mean?
You know? You block about it? About it?

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (21:56):
God? Did I do?

Speaker 2 (21:57):
I write for one of Bonus' websites, straight be subscribed to.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
I'm a good writer.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
I have a journalism degreein Here's what the topic is, hardy.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
I know hogs out here, but you know what Hot
Gloves power ranking? Where do you think the Vikings are
in the ESPN Power ranking?

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Seven nine? Well, the reason why power rankings are dumb
is almost always is just based on whatever their record is.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
And they're two and oh so they're probably right out
right around the top ten of teams, even though they
probably shouldn't be yet.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
But we'll see. I'll say eleventh, eleven. It's eleventh alone.
Too easy, too easy. They don't believe who's three? Whose three?
Why are you asking who's third? Well, risy bat number one, Saints,

(23:02):
number Saints, Saints.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
The top two are Kansas City in Buffalo, Houston four
the Saints are I.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Mean it could still be the Niners.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
It is that, Yeah, as you can tell. That's all
I've got.

Speaker 5 (23:27):
Is that just for this segment, or is.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
That it doesn't mean it doesn't be in radio? It's
for life. The wild Player preseason game on Saturday. Zach Crazy,
I think I think it's on Cool.

Speaker 8 (23:42):
Wait, that's correct, because of the the golf football game.

Speaker 1 (23:47):

Marnie Gilner, Marney Gilner, Mark Rosen, beautiful.

Speaker 11 (26:14):
Morning, Good morning everyone. Marny in particular, you guys have met.
Thank yeah, I said hello to you, but you weren't listening.

Speaker 10 (26:23):
You had your head shuts on.

Speaker 11 (26:24):
Sorry, that's right, he was getting work done in particular
part I understand.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
He was getting work done.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Getting worked over, both work done and worked on. All right,
let's do Vikings news because I have a couple of
things I would like to discuss. It's time for Vikings
us on the Power Trip presented by heck you.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Twelve hours ago, sauce You tweeted it would be great
if we could hear more from Jason Kelcey.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
H Let me see, how do I word this without
sounding like a douche bag? The Jason Kelsey trap. This
Kelsey thing is horrible, horrible. It's overcooked.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
It's overcooked. And I know I am too. My bit's
tired and old and just put me out to pass here.
I get that I'm just as boring and dumb and
stupid as they are. But like, imagine if next week
they had like a Bills player on the whole third
and half of the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
Are they gonna do that?

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Like having Travis Kelcey on everything or Jason Kelcey is
just awful. It's just not like it's stupid at Rex
Like Falcons fans are pissed about it. How do you
have an unbiased Arab excuse me, A biased guy in
the booth cheering for the other team. That's dumb. It's overcooked,
all of it. It's too much. It's too much. Jason Kelcey,

(27:44):
he's not that interesting. He's an offensive lineman, future Hall
of Famer.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
Shut up about it. They make it seem like he
invented the game. It's it's it's it's too much.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Eleven hours ago, you tweeted a picture of Jason kelce
in the bottom right hand corner of the TV screen
and it says Jason and Kelsey joining the booth in
the third quarter, and you tweeted, my TV will be
on mute.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
I stand by that. I don't want to hear it.
I didn't mute it. But you can flip over to
ESPN two watch the mannings.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Oh no, I'd rather watch half my family be put
down in the firings you have, Oh yeah, yeah, Pete
Sauce would be front and seven.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
So you said my TV will be on mute, and
something called at Brian five three zero two six nine
four zero tweeted, so will my radio from five thirty
to nine am weekdays whenever you're on Kfan, and you tweeted, no,
not that.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Please listen, Brian five to three zero, two six zero.
I stand by that.

Speaker 11 (28:41):
Yeah, you understandably, so anybody with that many numbers in
his name. And then you start reading his thread you
go no, yeah, good call.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
There's a couple of well, ten hours ago, you tweeted
ESPN is making it seem like Jason Kelce invented the
sport of football.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah, they do. And you capitalized football. Well, football needs
to be capped. It's cool. Stand by that.

Speaker 10 (29:05):
Well you know their motivation?

Speaker 11 (29:06):
Well, yeah, Ben, I know you do, because I mean
I know, you know, you know, because number one, they're
in Philadelphia, he just retired. He's, you know, for an
offensive lineman. You're right, he gets a lot of attention.
And he's related to the guy who's dating Taylor's which.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Is which is it's all overkilled? Let me ask you this.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
You know how weird it would have been on Sunday
who did the game CBS? And it was Harlan Right,
and I love the guy, literally loved the guy. Think
if they just had John Randall in the middle of
the broadcasts for a quarter and a half, people be pissed.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
It's stupid.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
It's just overkill and Joe buck thinks he's the greatest
thing ever.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
It's just it doesn't work. It's annoying.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Ten hours ago, you retweeted Ryan Donaldson, who tweeted Jason
Kelsey is a nice guy and all, but that's enough.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Yeah, I agree with Ryan. See Ryan and I get it.
Ten hours ago.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Ten hours ago you tweeted exactly what you just said.
Two minutes ago. So next week is he is going
to have a former Bills player in the booth?

Speaker 10 (30:02):
Are they Thurman Thomas.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Yeah, Andre Reid, oj yeah, eighty people tag yeah, yeah,
this one's fun.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Eleven hours ago, you tweeted a picture or I should say,
a gift of Vince Carter sand it's over. And you
tweeted the twins Bullpen and Kirk Cousins are both cooked.
That was wrong, yep, because then nine hours ago you tweeted,
I've never doubted Kirk.

Speaker 10 (30:29):
That's perfect.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Sauce comes around right rightly.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
The Falcons did come back thanks to former Vikings quarterback
Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
There'll be the Falcons on.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
A game winning seventy yard drive in the final couple
of minutes, scoring a touchdown, throwing it to Drake London
with thirty four seconds ago.

Speaker 11 (30:46):
That locked up the win. Yeah, thanks thanks to drop
by Sakwan Barkley. Without here that drop. Cousins never touches
the football again or right on the clock out, it
doesn't matter. Yeah, it's over and you have credit to them.
But I don't know what the Eagles deve as was
thinking in that last drive, but it wasn't wasn't very
effective considering they had pressure on Cousins all night until

(31:07):
it mattered. And Jack is right and I've seen it
for decades.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Corey, I have a question for you. Go on, this
is a game theory question. Oh so when Marty complains
about things, it's instantly fixed.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Yeah, how about it? He was, Yeah, you're getting ripped rosy.

Speaker 10 (31:28):
On the ear.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
That was Chad Abed. I have a game theory question
for you, Corey. Max and I were talking about this
when the highlights are on ESPN. Throwing the ball is
ridiculous on multiple things. I don't know the situation into
the end of the game. So okay, so it was
third and three, Atlanta has no timeouts, maxim where do
you think the ball.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Was the ten? Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
So yeah, whatever, but it's third and three right, they
throw that swing pass to Barkley and he drops it.
The Falcons have zero timeouts left. How much amazon the
clock minute twenty three, twenty three something like that. You
run the ball right correct, it takes forty more seconds

(32:09):
off the clock. You either a go for it and
if you don't make it, they have to go ninety
seven ninety one yards in a minute less than a
minute with no timeouts, or I just the whole thing
was botched.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
You run the.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Ball in that situation, maybe you get a yard or
two and then it's fourth and one, and then you
can think about it, and then you do the unstoppable
push push right, and you get the first down, and
then what happens then.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
The game The game's over. The whole thing was mismanning.

Speaker 11 (32:38):
Well, or the game is over if you have one
of the top running backs in the league who can
catch a football or that, I mean, there's we're literally
talking about a backyard three yard, four yard pass. I
mean it's he had to turn his body around. But
Barkley has is not a great pass receiver. He's notorious
for dropping footballs. But that you know, they decided to

(33:00):
roll them the ball and he had butterfingers and that
was that was it again.

Speaker 10 (33:06):
So yeah, it's still up to the Eagles defense.

Speaker 11 (33:10):
It's it's you have to you have to have without
any timeout, stop a team that you basically stopped all
night long and you stopped rushing the passer pressure.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
What do you think about the prevent defense because Zach
is really fired up about it this morning and with
a couple of.

Speaker 11 (33:26):
I remember that from the sixties, the sixties. Yeah, they
used to talk about the vikings that the team's going
to the prevent defense that prevents nothing.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
You stole that whole bit.

Speaker 11 (33:36):
Yeah, unbelievable that you see teams put you know, eight
back rush three and quarterbacks. Well you saw even saw
it with on the home situation on Sunday. They have
a fourth and sixteen and they they rushed three. Now,
you take your chances that you're going to have enough
guys to defend, and they should have and they got

(33:57):
called for passing you didn't complete the pass. But nevertheless,
it's still you know, the theory would be I'd rather
put more bodies on trying to chase down Patrick Mahomes
and force him to try to do something that he
doesn't want to do.

Speaker 10 (34:10):
And rush the rush his past.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
But you know, right, and that's that's what the Falcons
did on the Eagles drive down the field to try
and get the game. When he field goal, they pressure
him and he and they picked it off.

Speaker 11 (34:22):
Yeah, everyone, every coach has different theories about those things.
But more times than not, I've seen it happen to
the Vikings tons of times, and they put eight guys
back and they get burned by it.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
So not with this defense. We can send four or
five and they all get.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Bernard's everywhere, Cashman's everywhere, Van Jankles everywhere, Pat Jones is everywhere.

Speaker 11 (34:41):
For two games, this is the most impressive defense I've
seen in a long time. Yes, I mean just in
terms of exactly the way you described it, swarming and
and just being there for each other, and and it's
uh playing it looks like I've been playing together for years.
I mean, it's I know, it's just two games. I
understand that, but it's still is a very encouraging thing.

(35:02):
Thinking about how Porus is Viking defenses looked in the
last X number of years, especially against the pass, against
the Daniel Joneses of the world and others no name
quarterbacks that have burned him. They look like a totally
different team. And Brock Pritty is one hell of a
quarterback that I mean, we've watched him before. I've watched
most of it on TV, some play here a year ago.

(35:23):
But I'm so impressed with him, and the Vikings still
managed to beat him here I kind of against all
odds on Sunday. So that's that was, you know, obviously
a huge win, and now they're going to get another
one on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Yeah, you think they're going to win? Yes, Yeah, I
do too. I think they're going to get the victims.

Speaker 11 (35:39):
I'll see if Mixon's playing, and yeah, they're back up.
I mean it may be our old guy cam Acres
might be starting for them. Yeah, who signed with the Texans.
So it's going to be And we get to talk
to Glennard here in a little bit. With Neil Hunter
coming back in particular, it's.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Going to be an excellent atmosphere. Oh, it will be.

Speaker 11 (35:57):
It'll be terrific. What a fun team to watch the Texans. Yeah, absolutely,
But yeah, I'm I'm very impressed with his Vikings team
so far and Sam Darnold and everything they're bringing to
the table. This is going to be a team that's
gonna be in contention. I think all year long, he's.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Only made one mistake and that was that interception to Fred.

Speaker 11 (36:14):
Will Well call a mistake. That's that's Fred Warner too great.
There's not many linebackers in the league that you know,
have that ability to kind of twist and turn like
that and make that play.

Speaker 10 (36:24):
He's he's so good.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
So how about how about Purdy's all time record against
the NFC undefeated except for Owen two against the Vikings,
Like credit to Brian Flores. Right, whatever he's doing is
giving the Niners trouble because the Niners made the Super
Bowl last year and the Vikings beat him in the
regular season. The Niners are the favorite to come out
of the NFC again this year.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Right, and the Vikings beat him.

Speaker 11 (36:48):
Pretty acknowledged that the Flora's after the game, when they
shook hands at midfield, he said, your scheme just kind
of shook his head.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Man.

Speaker 11 (36:54):
That's he understands that. It's something he doesn't see very
very often. For whatever however they mix it up. Yeah,
I never imagined. I mean, again, I'm talking about Greg,
we're talking about rock party. But from my Iowa State.
That kid is just I mean, for think, well, he
might be a flash in the pan. No, he's that.
He's that good. He's got a great head on his shoulders.

(37:16):
But Sam Darnold's proven a lot of his credits wrong
as well, So that's.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
One of them. Well let's look at pretty versus Bryce Young.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
One of the craziest things about how did every team
miss on Brock Party right, because he was the last
pick in the draft, the absolute last pick in the draft?
How did every team miss on him so many times?
And how did essentially the Panthers get the Bryce Young
things so wrong?

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yeah, scouting is crazy.

Speaker 11 (37:41):
Yeah, it isn't a lot of it can be organization wide,
coaching and everything else that you know that you know,
Party has the advantage. I would Purty be the same
in Carolina as he is in San Francisco.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Better than Bryce Young. Well, probably he's super accurate.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
That's something he can't quote as fast as Brock Partty
is learned.

Speaker 10 (37:59):
And that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Believably accurate we've.

Speaker 11 (38:01):
Seen Bryce Young miss Why look ask Adam Feeling. I
mean wide open receivers. Yeah, like you're playing in a
backyard game. And so that that kid's got a long
ways to go to get his confidence back at this point.
When he when he has that opportunity, it's going to
be a while mentally.

Speaker 10 (38:16):
He's beaten up already.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
So are you in on this Viking squad or what?
Are you a believer?

Speaker 10 (38:22):
I'm I'm a Yeah, I'm a big You're all in hell?

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Yeah, Rosie, I really believe?

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Yeah, great, there goes five K. What do you mean
she's just saying, share five out of your show share cash.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
I like when you do that again over under six
and a half to start the year, and you already
have two wins. If you have the Vikings over, you're
unbelievably the rest.

Speaker 10 (38:47):
Of the year, I'd say, so yeah. Yeah, And they're
still underdogs this week.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
I don't slight dogs.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
They've they've never lost to the Texans, so I think
I saw five and oh is the all time record
against the Texans. Not that that matters, but it is
one of those weird They also haven't lost to the
Niners since what ninety two in Minneapolis correct something like that.
I think the eighth straight dates back to ninety four.

Speaker 10 (39:10):
Yeah, they're just yeah, they're they're feeling it.

Speaker 11 (39:12):
Right now over there, they really are and that's that's
you know, it's confidence is so much in sports, as
we all know, no matter what sport it is.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
And at a professional level.

Speaker 11 (39:20):
They're acting like you know, college kids over there, and
they've messed you know, a bunch of new faces that
we weren't quite sure how.

Speaker 10 (39:26):
It was going to end up.

Speaker 11 (39:27):
And yeah, again, September football is not the same as
December football. But you got to you got to be consistent,
you got to maintain it, and I think you got
to just keep getting better and keep in mind, you know,
they're doing this right now without Jordan Addison, and they're
getting TJ. Hockinson back there excellent tight end when they
play the Jets in London. I mean, by all accounts,
he should be ready to go, which is really going

(39:48):
to be good news for Sam Darnold to.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Have a target like that. Absolutely.

Speaker 11 (39:51):
I mean, they that one drive at the end of
the game when they were without Jefferson, without Addison, without Hockinson,
and I think in the momentum its switched to San
Francisco went oh this is this is going to be tough,
and Darnold did a marvelous job. He threw that pass
over the middle to Naylor, and it was a great
throw because there was coverage everywhere and he doesn't put it,

(40:13):
laid it right in their great call by koc but
uh that won the game for him, which set up
the field goal and then you know, the forty nine
ers were chasing the rest of the game. But that
that that drive to me was the most impressive one
of the game because they were without basically the third
receiver their top receivers that they have signed up for
this team. So kudos to them for having the depth

(40:34):
and having the right people in requisition.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
What a story Mark.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
We will will talk to Jonathan Grenard in about yeah,
five minutes, will be on this show.

Speaker 11 (40:43):
That's great now, he's we love that kid. He's a
great talker, very enthusiastic, and he's got I'm sure a
lot to talk about getting ready to play his old
team this week. It'll be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Our goal should be to make national news again.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Last week, his commented out feeling a little bit bad
about the Giants fans booing Daniel Jones right, made like
Sports Illustrated dot Com some other website.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Picked it up.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
They did call us the Power Hour, not the Power
Trip that got confused in the eight o'clock hours called
the Power Hour.

Speaker 10 (41:08):
Let's get let's get them they Stroud today.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
That's what I'm saying is we got one of us
has to ask a question that gets Grenard to say
something that makes news.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
Otherwise we have failed.

Speaker 3 (41:16):
Okay, all right, Saw Race is on you.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
You we have the pro here. Yeah, you're a pro.
What's the one?

Speaker 3 (41:23):
Yeah, be better than Jason Kelcey. Ask a question that
is going to make national news. All right, I will
all right, any ideas?

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Yeah, I have a few. Okay, give us a preview. Ah.
Do you think.

Speaker 3 (41:38):
That Trent Williams needs to work out more?

Speaker 1 (41:43):
Kelly? Yeah, we're going to ask a question about last
week's game. Yeah, I want to know about it. When
you talk, I feel like you're an idiot. No, you're right.
Whoever that man is? Fan five is next. We'll get
to headlines in the.

Speaker 3 (41:57):
Eight o'clock hour, and Jonathan Grenard of the Minnesota Vikings
joined in about forty five minutes or so.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
This is the Power Trap Morning, Joe on the Fan
