I guess I don't know. I wasn't really listening when
Pete talked about it. It wasn't about me. Yeah, he made

It's time for fans on the Power Trip presented by Builders,
Room model Builders.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
And Remodelers The Minnesota Wild host Alexandrovitchkin in the Capital
tonight at seven o'clock Game two for New Wild superstar
Quinn Hughes the Wild of one four straight. They are
in third place in the very competitive, very top heavy
Central I just said that to get Chris's attention. They
are behind Dallas and Colorado, but still they're kicking some ass.

(02:22):
Caps are starting to slide a little bit. They've lost
three of their last four. That was after they were
absolutely red hot. They won nine of ten before that,
so maybe we're catching them at the right time. Alexandrovchkin
is seventy eight years old but has fourteen goals in
thirty two games.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, and he scored his first of the season against
the Wild back on October seventeenth. That was, of course,
in the middle of that October sowon that they had
a completely different team when the Caps beat the Wild
five to one in Washington. So the Wild will hopefully
get some revenge tonight against the Capitals, who they've won
four straight against the Caps at Grand Casino Arena after

(02:59):
the Caps had six straight victories here in the State
of Hockey.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
So it should be a fun night. Zach.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Name all the players in the NHL that have more
or the same number of goals as Caroll Capris off, go.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Can Hawk play too? Sure? I'll go ahead, you go first?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Second?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah, you go first. He doesn't want to steal one
of your guests.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
To steal your guests.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
I tell you, I'm bad with this stuff. McDavid, McDavid,
Now my turn.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah, Benjamin Bratt, Happy birthday, Benjamin Bratt's birthday.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Hmmm, wow, you can't get one. Come on, man, this
is your sport.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Come on man. What's his name? McKennon. McKinnon has the most.
He has twenty six. Yeah, Nathan McKinnon twenty six goals,
first place in the NHL. One other guy has twenty two,
and one other guy is tied with Caprizof with twenty.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I should know this.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Stephen Botchko, Yes, batulism guy. One of the names sounds
like that somebody made it up. Oh, you don't mess
with thelan, just get to it. Jason Robertson has twenty
as well. He's tied with Carrillo and then with twenty two.
Something on Boston called Morgan geeky.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Yeah. Who, I'm glad we got through that because Morgan
Geeky has twenty two. He was in town. He was
right behind Coroll Capriceof with nineteen goals.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
You guys get together.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Connor Berdard has nineteen.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Yeah, and he's hurt, so took us had a shoulder
injury with a second left.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
And now, what's William Shatner doing, Zach. Yeah he's hurt. Oh, okay,
is he he's still with us? Right Shatner? Of course
we would have mourned for weeks.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Yeah, well never mind.

Speaker 7 (04:59):
Is Connor related to Tom Bodard.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
No, no he's not. No, I'm be Gummern, the radio guy. Yeah, yeah,
the same, the same am.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Yeah it's his son, Yeah, it's his son.

Speaker 7 (05:12):
He was on this show once.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah. Yes.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Pravalstaed leads the NHL in goals against average at one
point ninety five. He also leads the NHL in safe
percentage at ninety three point seven.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
I was going to say that, Yeah, that was your guess.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
They're fun, man. I'm excited to watch the game. I
can't wait. I'm super into it now.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
So you went to that one in person on Black Friday, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
That was fun with hot ass Randy Luke Sean Nordo.
So your wife's getting her wisdom teeth pulled. Yeah today
at nine to thirty.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
But yet you're gonna watch the Wild and she's gonna
have to fend for herself and Holie of course not.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Louis goes to bed around the time the game starts.
I'm a responsible father. I know how to father.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
I wasn't questioning your fatherhood. I was questioning your ability
to take care of your wife. I will take care
of her. Does Walstead come before your wife or not?
My son's name is Louis. I was talking about the wild.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Oh no, my family comes before the while. But I
am excited. Yeah, you think it's gonna be fun, Yeah,
it might be.

Speaker 7 (06:15):
How many wisdom teeth?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
I think three? Oh? Yeah, she's afraid. She's scared.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
It's not fun.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Yeah, she'll be fine, though she's tougher than I am.
My memory is so bad.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago,
and the guy actually asked how many wisdom teeth do
you have pulled back in the day? And I go,
I don't know, can't tell. Yeah, he hadn't looked at
the X rays or anything yet. He just asked me,
and I go, I don't know. He's like, was it
one or two?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Or three? Or four? I go, I have no idea.
I don't remember.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
That's the stuff that drives my wife notts. She's like,
how do you not know how many you got pulled?
I go I don't know. I didn't care.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Take out what as many as you want, take out
ninety of them, I don't care. Who were we talking
about earlier this morning? And he knew everything about Tiger Woods,
Mighty Money Boss, Mighty Box Radio, everything about Yes, you
just file those things differently in the old Uh you
know file CA. You know a lot about Dicky? Well

(07:13):
he did.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
I gave him my dentist sword four. I gave him
a little plaque.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Mine died.

Speaker 7 (07:22):
What happened?

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Orthodon? I didn't put my.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
You believed penny Wise is unkillable, infinite timeline.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
This is my source. Are you watching that new one?

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Bit?

Speaker 5 (07:35):
My dentist asked me do you smoke or drink coffee?
I said, who? Who smokes coffee?

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Sauce?

Speaker 8 (07:49):
We do.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Smoke coffee probably if you.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Probably put the grounds in a do a line of them.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Man, do you snort coffee beans? Probably not. Story stuff
goes straight to your dome. Man, that's not good for you.
I mean it's fun, but it's a lot of storage
space up there. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
They're like squirrels harvesting nuts for the winter. Yeah, yeah,
do you wanted my nuts? Come on, man, I'm asking mhm.
Kids are going to school right now.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Do you hate me? It's the opposite? Yeah? What? Wow?

Speaker 5 (08:27):
What they call.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
You love him?

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Why don't they called teeth X rays toothpicks?

Speaker 3 (08:33):
That's funny, that's good. You look up dentist jokes. Maybe maybe.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
Had my wisdom teeth pulled in college?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
How many? How can you tell? What?

Speaker 7 (08:52):
Four?

Speaker 3 (08:52):
All four?

Speaker 7 (08:53):
I had all four? Yeah? And when I say pulled,
I mean cut out.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (08:58):
And then I got one or two dry sockets.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
Not good.

Speaker 7 (09:03):
That's like the infection. You gotta keep them clean.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
Yeah, man, don't want to dry a socket.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
I'm surprised.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Is her appointments at nine thirty not two thirty?

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Great bit green.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
You know, in the history of the power Trae morning shoe,
almost every dentist appointment is at seven thirty or eight o'clock.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Two Wednesdays or Thursday. Yeah, so it is crazy that
your wife's is later in the of the day. Yeah.
Every flight is also at seven or eight o'clock, or
at least that's when you have to pack. Yeah, one
of the two. Whose turn is it? Oh my god,
it's still sports, isn't it's my turn?

Speaker 5 (09:42):
What time is it?

Speaker 2 (09:43):
It's age twelve brilliant. Let's see, I don't really care
about that. We've talked about that enough.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
I don't know, we've talked about all this. That's enough. Sports.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Yeah, yeah, Greenway coming up or Grenard Way. If Chad
Greenway wants to come on, that's great.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
We like him to have more KOC audio. He talks
about our our quarterback.

Speaker 8 (10:06):
Just simple plays like that that are him doing his
job at a high level, but doing his job and
not thinking he has to try to overcome it by,
you know, maybe stepping outside the realm of you know,
what he's being asked to do on a play. And
I think he's over these last two weeks. He's really
just locked into that mentality.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
ESPN is currently arguing whether or not JJ McCarthy's gritty
dance into the end zone was awesome or awkward.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
And they have a panel of what five guys debating
it nothing to talk about?

Speaker 7 (10:39):
It should be five nothing awesome.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Well, the Cowboys are out. I mean they'll still find
things to talk about. Chiefs are done.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Chiefs are done, the Giants are done. The Yankees aren't
playing for a while.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
I will say this though, will JJ ever win the
approval of Chris Carter.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
My goodness, stuck with this kid? Yeah, geez, way to
be supportive. Yeah, thanks Chris.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
That's our job is to repect Chris Carter. Chris is
a little bit like me, or if it's not about him,
he has no interest.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Doesn't it kind of seem like Chris Carter's the guy
that like.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
The era that he played football is the era that
had all of the good players, and everybody before him
and after him have sucked, right, Like the only good
players is when I played kind of thing, Which that's
the wrong way to look at.

Speaker 6 (11:28):
It wasn't Fran against Farv when Farv was here, because
Farv was doing things Fran was the only other quarterback
to do. Wasn't that the bit?

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Oh? Really? I think so? Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons's house was broken into
on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
How about that It happened while the team.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
Was on the road in San fran Surveillance video shows
at least six people entered the home around seven pm,
smashing the glass windows. Multiple items are stolen. Titans Team
Security and Metro Nashville Police are working to recover the
stolen items.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Ye happens all the time, now does Yeah, they know
your schedule. Yeah, they do, gonna be out of town. Yeah,
how does he know everybody else is going to be
out of town though?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
I mean unless it's like the Wet Bandits where you
you know, case the house and you see the rest
of the family leave because you know, no offense to
these six individuals breaking into the home. But you don't
want any resistance even if you have the wife and
the kids there.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
That's not good. No, you want zero people in the house. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
I have a friend who well, actually began house sitting
for a Vikings player for road games. Is this exact reason?

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Now?

Speaker 1 (12:37):
He actually just moved in because the butt player got
another house but wanted to keep it.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
So, oh that's nice he just moved in. Yeah, that's
pretty sweet for him. Yeah. Interesting.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
The Los Angeles Olympics Olympics, I should say, maybe over
two years away, but fans will soon be able to
start planning to attend. Registation for registration Jesus for the
chance to buy tickets for all sports at the twenty
twenty eight Summer Olympic Games opens January fourteenth.

Speaker 3 (13:06):

random draw will have the opportunity to buy tickets in April.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
I don't any event you guys can think of that
you'd be like, that'd be really cool to see in person.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Swimming ladies sand volleyball, I sport location.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
I like that really fun. I don't know how they
jump and sand like it was like we timed it. Yeah,
we plan that women's beach volleyball. Yet I like it.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
Do you guys make fun of things?

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I like, yeah, what do you like about it? Hawk?

Speaker 5 (13:42):
I think it's incredible how they jump in sand and
a sport.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
I like that.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
You know the ball was there?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Yes, yes, lost in the shuffle of Chris immediately going
women's sand volleyball. Zach also had a something loaded in
the chap swimming. He said, swimming in point two seconds?
Swimming is sweet?

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Yeah, or you're not making fun of him?

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Circling back, not making fun of you either, to point
out that he was also ready to answer Mary, you
yet to answer.

Speaker 9 (14:15):
It's gymnastics, hands down, women's gymnastics ever since my favorite
athlete growing up Martie lou Rettin. Sorry Mary lou Rettin
stole stole all of our hearts, no doubt about it.
I would love to see women's gym I mean I
have seen women's gymnastics.

Speaker 7 (14:36):
Like when when the Galaxy of.

Speaker 9 (14:38):
The Stars kind of comes through and does the post
Olympics tour at Target.

Speaker 7 (14:44):
Center or whatever. I have seen that.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Well, I was.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
I would like to see the Olympic trials. I was
at last year with some own and it was unbelievable, Like,
you can't you know, it's I filmed it in slow
mo to see kind of how how you do You.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Just can't, right, I got a really good angle.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Yeah, creepy, but honestly, the videos don't even do a
justice see it in person. It doesn't look like it's
humanly possible. Some of this stuff they're doing.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Is that, like you it's like watching a Formula one.
It's like, that's cool to see on TV. But when
you see in a person, you're like, oh.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
My god, I believe exactly.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
You can't believe it, man, So I mean, yeah, shout
out to those gals. Uh, I'm a little surprised. We've
never had.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
A men's team be dominant.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Right off the end of the day, we're talking about
John Roethlisberger, right, Like Roethlisberger made three Olympic teams or something.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
But and I think he did fine.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
But like, has the team ever been good, the men's
team itself? I don't feel like they have.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Have we ever? Like, what's the best to finish we've
ever had?

Speaker 7 (15:46):
Have another male gymnast?

Speaker 3 (15:48):
I can't.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
Cooper?

Speaker 4 (15:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (15:53):
What about Cooper? I don't remember him?

Speaker 7 (15:58):
Art Connor, whoa?

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Whoa?

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Mitch her name? What was the other one?

Speaker 5 (16:08):
Mitch?

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Gaylord, Zachary?

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Are googling the best team finish and men's gymnastics history? Yes,
have we ever meddled as a team? Well, this is AI,
so I don't know if it's true. So what does
it say?

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Though?

Speaker 6 (16:25):
It says the best men's gymnastics gymnastics teams globally are
currently Japan, China in the United States.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
What what did you ask gymnastics? Best team? We were asking.

Speaker 10 (16:42):
Minnesota, I got we were asking best men's US finish
of all time? I wasn't asking have there ever been
good men's teams? There's a goal every four years somebody
wins gold. I mean, has there ever been a US
team that's done well?

Speaker 3 (16:57):
I'm so sorry to let you down. You just started
naming the countries that have won.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
We got the bronze in Paris in what year? Bronz
twenty twenty four, That's what I said.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
I don't think it is.

Speaker 6 (17:11):
Well, Japan got gold, China got silver, and we got bronz.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Okay, but is it and that's our highest finish of
all time or that's just.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
The most Yeah, because we also got bronze in Beijing. Okay,
We've gotten gold and silver and team events, but nothing
in the Olympics, is what I'm finding out here. But
I'm sure some will be like in nineteen thirty two,
who touched like that? Who talks like that? Was that
Andrew Dice play?

Speaker 2 (17:37):
All right, So let's let's get some you know, let's
get the man on the level with the ladies because
the ladies have been the dominant force for a long time.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
The ladies kick ass, and Simon Biles is the goat.
No offense to Mary lou Redton, right.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
I think even Mary lout not in tough time. I
think even Mary lou Rettin would say that's the moment.

Speaker 5 (17:55):
Is the best I can help her out?

Speaker 7 (17:56):
Now?

Speaker 3 (17:57):

Speaker 5 (19:10):
I was just reading this really interesting story Corey Yes,
about Jim Carrey and the reason that he almost quit
The Grinch when they were started filming it. The first
day he had to put the makeup on, he got
so claustrophobic he had a panic attack. They had to
call in a Navy seal to talk him through how
to stay in the makeup so he could finish the torture.
Aspect that I was in the past. That's pretty crazy.
I suppose the noses, especially that yes, and apparently the

(19:35):
green contacts were extremely painful to wear. Imagine your eyeballs
hurting all the time.

Speaker 6 (19:40):
Wasn't the bit too that they didn't put one on
that little girl because it hurt too much. That's why
the nose. That's why the little girl is the only
one in the whole town that doesn't have the.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
I never noticed that till right now. Dude, you're right,
she doesn't.

Speaker 6 (19:56):

like that. You couldn't breathe with an on or something.
She is not a little girl anymore.

Speaker 7 (20:06):
She's a goth singer.

Speaker 5 (20:08):

It was on this date, December of December sixteenth of

(21:47):
what year that Dumb and Dummer came out? Came out
on this date?

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Ye?

Speaker 7 (21:54):
Dummer? Is that A was I in?

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Heis?

Speaker 7 (21:57):
I was in college.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
I doubt it.

Speaker 7 (22:03):
Because it was before then or after. I don't know
that I saw that in the theater.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Interesting answer.

Speaker 11 (22:14):
Nine anybody else ninety seven, anybody else ninety five, anybody
else ninety four thirty one years ago today, dumbin Dummer a.

Speaker 7 (22:26):
Plus I was in college exactly.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Okay, great show, fantastic, one of the greatest comedies of
all time.

Speaker 7 (22:37):
Oh it's so good, but yet not on that comedy list.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
You read year than sauce you go first.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
It was on this date, December sixteenth, of what year
the Boston tea party took place. That's a good question
A lot of people are asking, is it. Yeah, eighteen
forty six. You didn't take a backpack to senior year, correct?
I did, not, sir, eighteen forty six. Yeah, seventeen seventy three.

(23:10):
That was my other guess, but I thought eighteen forty
six sounded better.

Speaker 7 (23:15):
It was right after Columbus did his little track.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Yeah, yeah, right, during the building of the Pyramids, made
it all the way to Ohio. Yeah, what that guy said.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
The parent company of Rumba vacuum cleaners has filed for bankruptcy.

Speaker 5 (23:31):
Is that possible?

Speaker 3 (23:31):
Yeah? Those are great, they are I heard they suck.
Yeah he's joking. Yeah, sometimes they do. Mine get stuck
in a corner and the dog likes to bite at it,
and yeah, sometimes it doesn't empty itself. Yeah, dog, it's
the dog excrement spreading that. But they have some of

(23:54):
them that will avoid that. That's good.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
Yeah, yeah, because we've had one before that ran right,
threw probably him up it's dump and drove it.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
All over and blamed it on winning and then blamed.

Speaker 8 (24:05):
It on.

Speaker 9 (24:08):
Yeah we Matt was trying to get one for the garage.
Room for the garage, yes, which I think is genius.
I don't know how you'd get all the cords and
you know, shrapnel out of the way. But can you
imagine being able to just let a room bag go,
especially this time of year when you're dragging in all

(24:29):
that sand salt off the streets and have a room
but just going.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Around your garage, how do you like back it over?

Speaker 7 (24:39):
Well, maybe you run it overnight when you're not driving.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Mind feels like it. That's that's why I said that
said a schedule, Yeah, there's no chance. Yeah, it does.
Sometimes it will turn on.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
It it's you set up next to where the spot
or the left side of the bed where my wife sleeps,
and every once in a while he'll just turn on
in the middle of the night, bottle lights.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
I wish it would suck your soul out of your body.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Did you name it?

Speaker 8 (25:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Wayne, I think the room has got a better chance
of turning her one.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
Yeah, okay, you're worried that a garage room that would
get backed over too often?

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Yeah, he's backing up he hears. Oh my god, Wayne, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Okay, a little public service a notcent real quick. Holidays
are punish, you know. In The United Postal Service says
it's prepared for the shipping rush. There are some important
shipping deadlines to keep in mind. Tomorrow is the last
day to send your items, often time for them to
ride by Christmas Day tomorrow.

Speaker 7 (25:45):
Could I get you guys' addresses for Christmas cards?

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Sure?

Speaker 7 (25:49):
Yeah, I already have his.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Well, he'll throw his, he'll throw years away anyway. No,
I won't. I won't.

Speaker 7 (25:56):
I got I got yours. Yeah, and iung it up
with the others. Yeah that's what you do.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Yeah, I put yours on the fridge. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Do you ever get a Christmas car from somebody and
you're like, how in the sweet hell did they get
my address?

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah? You know what I mean, Dob is your brother. No,
but do you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Like once in a while, you're like, oh, I even
like these people, but how the hell did they get
my address?

Speaker 3 (26:21):
They didn't ask me. Well, they don't talk, you know
what I mean. It's like a little bit weird. Yeah,
how did I get one? Last year?

Speaker 1 (26:28):
And I don't want to get into specifics because it
was it was nice. It was a nice gesture where
it was like, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
Is it someone from the radio station?

Speaker 3 (26:35):
No, No, I don't I don't get one Hockey World.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
Yeah, yeah, I only get one from one person who
works here at the station, Brandon. Yeah, you don't send
me one.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
No, it's gonna get thrown away. No it's not. Did
you make it this year? I haven't seen it. Man,
it's the sixteenth.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
How do you not?

Speaker 3 (26:57):
That's right?

Speaker 5 (26:58):
Something like frosted the snowman right then?

Speaker 9 (27:03):
Or how do you know when to fold them or
hold fold them? Take some question and or take someone
off the Christmas list? Where like an old friend from
high school that you really haven't kept in touch with,
don't really care about, not trying to be cold, but

(27:23):
just like you keep sending the card.

Speaker 7 (27:25):
Because they keep sending it to you. Which one of
us is going to blink?

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Yeah, I think whenever you feel like it.

Speaker 6 (27:34):
It's not you don't owe any but you don't owe
anybody a Christmas card, even if you haven't talked to
him in like I think ten years, and it's like,
I don't know you a Christmas card?

Speaker 3 (27:44):
Yeah, we had a couple of those in it out
every year.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
I feel like you have to update the list m
h and check it twice.

Speaker 9 (27:52):
Yeah, well I'm gonna be adding you guys. I even
wrote I got the sheet of paper and I wrote
cove because I was going to ask you, and then
the commercial break ran out, So yeah, you just tell
me now your address.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
I already kind of know what Gerdi and Farli are
up to anyway, Like why do I need an update? See?

Speaker 9 (28:09):
Now, that is not the right attitude. But you make
a good point because it wasn't the point of a
Christmas card, especially a photo, was for this is what
we look like, this is what we did. Here's a
letter about our years.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
The only time you would see what people look like,
especially if you have relatives out of state or something.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
They send the Christmas cards. You're like, oh my god,
that kid is growing up. Strange.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Yeah, now, it's just a nice little gesture with you.
It's not about updating. That's what social media is for.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
That's what I don't know.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Texts or phone calls are for updating people's lives. Like
in a second, Jonathan Grenard is going to call an
update us. He doesn't need to send us a Christmas card?

Speaker 7 (28:46):
Would be cool?

Speaker 3 (28:47):
Maybe he will, ask, can you imagine? In fact, should
we start with that?

Speaker 4 (28:51):
Go?

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Hey, if we give you our addresses, will you send
us Grenard family Christmas cards that won't be creepy at all?

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Or you just send it to the station.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:00):
See, well, said Zach.

Speaker 7 (29:02):
I'd like mine hand delivered.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
Yes, okay, right to the call to sac.

Speaker 7 (29:08):
Yeah, you would know if you had come to my house.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
With white gloves.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Uh. Disney is making a live action movie about Gaston
from Beauty and the Beasts.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
He's gonna have his own standalone movie. Why, I don't
know how? Hello?

Speaker 4 (29:25):
Why not?

Speaker 3 (29:25):
I mean you know who cares?

Speaker 4 (29:26):
Right uncle?

Speaker 3 (29:28):
See it?

Speaker 7 (29:29):
Yeah, it's a spinoff.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
What do you think he does? Just goes around town
and drinks at pubs and yells at his little like
short friend smokes cannabis.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
Yeah he smokes weed. Yeah, that'll be fine. Who's gonna
play Gaston?

Speaker 5 (29:45):
You should cheap trick.

Speaker 9 (29:50):
Birthday a collab somehow with the Karate kids. You could
have a gust on. Okay, take the rest of the
show off.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Yes, I think that's very Yeah, that's funny. I was
very clever, Marty.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
You go first, all right, eighty percent of the pretzels
in the United States are made in what state?

Speaker 7 (30:11):
Eighty percent of the pretzels.

Speaker 9 (30:14):
So pretzels is dough and that is connected to a
specific state.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
No, I don't.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Eighty percent of the pretzels in the United States are
made in what state? Dakota?

Speaker 9 (30:23):
Vela Velva's finest dots pretzels, Vulva the best.

Speaker 7 (30:31):
There's a small town by Mina. It's like twenty miles away.
Its name is Velva.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
So good. Not Volva me.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Somewhere in Pittsburgh. I was gonna say, Pennsylvania sticks out.
I was going to say Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania West Virginia area.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
That's what I was thinking. God, you don't have to
look so disappointed.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
The talk what state somewhere in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is the
right answer? You said Pittsburgh. That's the only wrong way
to say the right answer. Somewhere in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Jesus, he's a reason for the season. Pennsylvania is correct,
I'm not exactly sure why. I don't know what companies
are based out of there? Is that where like rold
Gold is based.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
I have no idea. I bet yeah, I bet you.

Speaker 8 (31:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
It was probably Hershey who started the whole snack craze.
Maybe Pennsylvania Damn why Yeah, Road Golds are good. Oh.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Not sure how I feel about this, But a Point
Break TV series is in the works at AMC, and
it is going to be set in the same universe
just thirty five years later. So I doubt Body and
Johnny Moore Body's dead. I doubt I doubt Johnny Utah
is involved. But either way, it's going to be in
that same universe just thirty five years later. Is it

(31:56):
wrong of me to say? If this had been AMC
from two thousand and ten, like Breaking Bad mad Men era,
I'd be like, oh, hell yeah. Now that it's twenty
twenty five, I'd prefer if it was an HBO series.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Yeah, I think you might be right, yeah, or I
don't know, maybe Apple right, something like that. I don't
know Point Break is gonna go on AMC. I don't know.
I'm gonna have a low expectations and hope they nail it.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
The UFL has three new teams.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Who watches the UFL Baby.

Speaker 5 (32:32):
Columbus, Ohio, Louisville, Kentucky, Orlando, Florida?

Speaker 3 (32:36):
Do we have TV? Going back to Orlando?

Speaker 5 (32:38):
The Columbus Aviators, the Louisville Kings, and the Orlando knucklebeeps
Gees Real Storm storm Storm Sorry, different team.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Yeah, that's a terrible name. The uh.

Speaker 5 (32:57):
It's the third season since the USFL XFL merger, all
in non NFL markets, which is important.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
Hold on.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
Jonathan's called keep talking.

Speaker 3 (33:08):
By the way, nineteen eighty four are US gymnastics men?
One call? See there we go. There we have done something. Connor,
well done, Bart Connor, ot BC.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
You know where you know where they should put a
UFL team, Somewhere in Pittsburgh.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
Yeah. See, you know what I'm saying. That's kind nobody's
to react. Jonathan, Hi, Jonathan, what's what's up?

Speaker 4 (33:31):
How we do dood?

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (33:32):
If if the five of us send you our addresses,
will you send us Grenard family Christmas cards?

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (33:39):
I'm glad you said that because we're literally just send
our first batshop. We can't.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
I'll say that. So sim Simmons. Okay, y, thank you.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
No, Marny, Marnie wants hers hand delivered. Will you drive
to Chaska and give it to her at her door?

Speaker 4 (33:52):
Yeah, Look, Marnie, I can come down to the studio
or something like that. I can get it to you
our personally.

Speaker 7 (33:56):
All right, thank you, no, dog appreciate you.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Man.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Well, unfortunately, I you know, obviously we want to see
you back in the studio at some point. It'd be
great to have you, but man, hopefully not under these circumstances,
because it sucks that out for the year. Shoulder surgery.
Can you tell us about the decision to do that
and when are you going to have that done?

Speaker 5 (34:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:13):
Man, it's been, like I said, been working on it
for a bit. Happened back in Baltimore when the first happened.
You know, try to gut it out, you know. I
definitely know that I could, you know, play through certain
things and obviously strengthen things around it to make it
where it's comfortable. I said, no, it's not something I
was gonna have to make a decision eventually about the shoulder.
But as we've seen on Sunday night late that last
little moment was kind of like the final strong for
me where I feel like, I mean, I just couldn't

(34:35):
do anymore, just reaching out, trying to grab a guy
and it you know, and I still deal with it.
So it's been a long time coming. I'm trying to
gut it out. Guys know that. And I think now
just this time after I had this injury, just say
I have to go and get it fixed. So I'm
just going to continuously deal with it. So I'm trying
to put it behind me, man and just get your
taken care of.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
So just to clarify, even if you guys were still
mathematically in this, you were in the playoff hunt, you
were in the division hunt. This is a season ender,
no no matter what. Or is this just because you're
mathematically out.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Well, when you ask it in that tone, I'm not.
There's no I'm not taking any easy way out because
there are a lot of people could think that I'm
just the season's over. Trust me, if I could play,
I would play. I just obviously couldn't do it anymore.
So anybody out there, obviously you got people with the
speculations and obviously worded that question in that tone. Now
it's none of that I just got to get it
taken care of because I wasn't going to be able

(35:24):
to protect myself, you know, on the field.

Speaker 3 (35:25):
So yeah, awesome.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
When you're talking about your shoulder injury, are we talking
about impact pain? Are we talking about like you were
saying reaching? So is it more of that situation where
you can't like lift your arm all the way or
is it because when I think shoulder injuring football, I'm
thinking about making contact with people with your shoulder making
a tackle, you know.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
Yeah, well, you know my first initial when I first
heard it, I ended up landing on it back in
Baltimore with all my body weight. So just picture that
when you put all two hundred and fifty pounds whatever
I did on that morning of eating, so probably to
fifty three landing all that weight on there. That's where
initially started. So, you know, having to deal with that
off of impact initially and then playing through it weeks

(36:04):
you know after that, and then obviously for it to
happen like this too, I just reach and it comes out.
It just basically shows you that you know it. I
wouldn't say it wasn't ready because we're all dealing with
stuff and it's not going to make it seem like,
you know, guys aren't dealing with things, and you know,
you know these things, these types of things happen, So
for it happened in this fashion, it kind of made
sense just because you know how it happened the initial

(36:25):
time means you think about the angles, how my arm
was out, how initially heard it, it all makes sense.
It's kind of consistent with how the injury and you
know the symptoms and things leading up into So I
wasn't I'm not gonna say I wasn't surprised. I always
know that it's a possibility because you know those things
can happen again. But like I definitely wanted to with
the mindset of just playing, I wasn't worried about it.

(36:46):
That's at least it was one thing I was I
can say going out there. I just wasn't really truly
thinking about it the entire time. So certain movies I
think I still have it, and you know it'll remind
you really quick. So but yeah, man, I'm just trying
to put it past me. Man, this this thing has
been going on long enough. I feel like I definitely
could be more of an impact if I get this six.
So yeah, definitely that one. It's a lot to make

(37:08):
that decision.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
So when is the surgery and then what's the projected
recovery time? What do you got to deal with?

Speaker 4 (37:13):
Yeah, I don't I don't know about the recovery time.
I'm definitely trying to get the surgery done this week.
I can't remember exactly. I know they tell me, but
it can just vary. But I just know that sooner
I get on top of this, as soon I can
get back to having a full off season and really
come back stronger than ever.

Speaker 6 (37:26):
So now, like after you get the surgery, like do
you go to the games or you like a set
of eyes on the sideline helping the other guys out
as they go, or do you stay home?

Speaker 5 (37:35):
Do you want to come in and do Mooring radio?

Speaker 4 (37:37):
I mean no, literally, I honestly, guys, it's all new
for me. I mean, I haven't done with this that
would have shoulder injury at all to kind of know
like how they handle it moving forward. Me and kle knows,
my heart definitely knows. I would love to be out there,
but I know sometimes they have different plans for guys
for rehab and all that stuff. But they know I
want to be out there, So if I get a
chance to be out there after this is done, I

(37:58):
definitely be looking forward to that.

Speaker 9 (38:00):
Jonathan, Outside of this shoulder injury, what is the worst
injury football related that you have had to deal with
in your career.

Speaker 4 (38:10):
I had a bad risk injury in college at Louisville
my last year there, and it's I mean I got
hurt the first year and it literally I mean the
first game, sorry, and I literally missed the entire year
for a risk injury. So but the way it happened,
how I fell on it, and you know just how
I look afterwards, end up disokaying my wrist, so like

(38:30):
literally falling and doing that. I just literally looked down
to my wrisk in college and realized, yeah, I got
to get out of here.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
So it was crazy.

Speaker 4 (38:37):
But that between that and obviously this one the show
of deal that I'm dealing with. Yet I was a
definitely top two and they take the cake for sure.
It's probably one A and one D, not even the two.

Speaker 5 (38:47):
Some very very nice comments from coach O'Connell about you
yesterday and the season you had and being a leader.
I heard that I thought, well, that doesn't surprise me.
We love you on the show and great player on
the field. But then I brought to mind this question.
He is an offensive minded coach, but he's the head coach.
How much interaction do you have with him on a
daily basis when you're around the facility?

Speaker 3 (39:08):
Do you talk to Kale a lot?

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Yeah? I taught some pretty much every day. But yeah,
as you mentioned, he's the offensive guy and he kind
of lets flow to his thing, and you know, during
the week we hardly will see him as far as
meeting wise goes. He's not in our room. He's mainly
in the office room, you know, breaking down the game
plan and stuff, and flow just t takes over with
the defense. So yeah, I mean they have a good relationship.
Obviously they relay things off of each other, but when

(39:32):
it comes down to it, I'm pretty sure that they
just go to their separate socks.

Speaker 3 (39:36):
Jonathan.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
One of the sneaky stats for the Vikings in this season.
This is a passing league. Everybody knows that the Vikings defense,
you guys have not given up a passing touchdown in
five straight games.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
That's extremely difficult to do.

Speaker 4 (39:53):
Yeah, No, I think it's a testament, you know, but
you got to look at definitely how these games are
being played and how guys are attacking us this year.
Like last year, you know, we guys were trying to
figure the players out on the flock kind of like
if you look at that, you know, the other night,
he was pretty much trying to dissect everything and call
the certain checks and do everything like that, you know,
which is very rare. We hardly see teams that come
out there and just you know, hold the ball and

(40:14):
try to do that. Even in our all blitz looks
and stuff like that. You know, other guys were playing.
They're just dinking and duck and taking checkdowns and taking
run game and you know, playing a slow game and
obviously just trying to let offense you know, beat us
in that point. So you know, JJ and them boys,
they had a hell of a game on Sunday, But
obviously we know what the result was, you know, weeks prior,
you know, we just it wasn't getting the same results.

(40:34):
So you know, teams come in with a different game
plan and they're gonna run that ball and they don't
want to assorb any risks of trying to throw a
deep shot and possibly get sacked picked. You know, all
of these things that caul possibly happen when you're playing us.
So they take the conservative route and they just run
the ball and don't try to give us those passes
because they're as fred of the negative place.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
Going back a.

Speaker 5 (40:51):
Couple of weeks the zach Ertz tackle, I'm sorry, what's
the young man's name who made the tackle? Our defense
of our kward Yeah, Jay Ward, I I gotta bringe
up because I thought this was something. It's a gruesome injury.
Terrible for us for that to happen. But the response
from the tight end to the young player who was
obviously heartbroken to have caused that injury. Really, I mean,

(41:13):
it puts the love of my third to even talk
about it. I thought that was such a classy move
for somebody who was in that situation, for urthe to
react like that, didn't you.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
Yeah, And I met zach at one of a commo
a former teammate Kamo's wedding last year with a year prior,
and you know, just just understanding how he is man,
how he operates is a vet.

Speaker 7 (41:32):
He's a legend.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
Everybody understands who knows what he's about. For him to
do that understanding what the mindset of a young player
like jay Ward is or any defend in this league. Man,
they make so many rules nowadays where you can't really
hit the guy a certain way. Like if Jayward was
just ran in there and just cleaned him up and
hit him in anything waste above, it could have been
a fifteen year penalty and multiple finds were a big

(41:53):
find coming into that. So Jayward just played football. Everybody
knows Jaywarden and the lockero know he has not a
dirty soul, a dirty ounce of blood in his body.
So he's just a competitor. And for him to do that, man,
and we know his intention, and obviously he's a part
of the game. You know, these low hits I don't
personally like.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
I don't like that.

Speaker 4 (42:11):
I don't like that. There's so many things going on anyways,
but you know, when you're only left with to make
a low hit, you know, these things naturally happen, and
it's unfortunate that it happened, but these are the things
that they kind of want, you know, they don't want
us end up high, so the next thing is to
go down lower and then obviously factor in him jumping
for the ball. So now the angle that jay Ward
is that seems like he's going for a complete low blow,

(42:33):
but he's not. He's just trying to get a guy
hit him lower to make sure he doesn't, you know,
make a crazy catch. But these are the things that
we signed up for, man, And I think you know,
physics is inevitable at times when he's playing this game,
and you know when you try to maneuver and make
different tackle aguas all the time, you know these types
of things can happen. But for him to do that
and come out and so that knowing the type of
things he's going through, knowing the backlash and ridicule that
everybody's given jay Ward throughout the country and throughout the

(42:56):
whole world. Man, it's it's pretty good man, And I
know Jay Water appreciates that.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
It up.

Speaker 2 (43:00):
We're heartbroken for you, man, it's already hear about the shoulder.
But the best of luck And like Chris said, open
door man, if you want to hang out in the
next couple of months, give us a call, and you're
always welcome here.

Speaker 5 (43:09):
And you had a great season to say that as well, dude,
well done this season to watch you play, Yeah, thank.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
You all man. I appreciate. Like I said, I'm go
go ahead and get the sacred will never I've finished
business for sure.

with him, but I don't think.

Speaker 3 (43:28):

Speaker 5 (43:32):
I wanted to ask him if, because he went to
u of L for a year, if you thought the
UFL team in Louisville would work, but then on you
guys would make fun of me.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
So I held that back.

Speaker 7 (43:41):
That had been a good question.

Speaker 3 (43:42):
