Every Friday around 8:15-8:20 a.m. on KFAN 100.3 the Power Trip Morning show plays the Initials Game presented by Wolf River Electric (WolfRiverElectric.com).

The game involves 12 items people, place, things, phrases or anything as long as they share the same initials. All 12 items share the same initials. The contestants do not know the initials until they are revealed shortly before the game starts. Each item has 6 clues. As soon as the contestants know who or what the host is describing, they yell out their name. Their name is their buzzer. If the contestant gets it right, they get a point. If they get it wrong they are out for just that item. The item does have to be pronounced correctly. It is best out of 12 with tiebreakers if needed. Tiebreaker items have 3 clues.

(07:42):
then the letter S b S. Just keep it clean,
ladies and gents, yell out your name. Your name is
your buzzer. When you ring in, you have five seconds
to answer while that person is thinking. Somebody else can
ring it as well and wait their turn. Best out

One of the words means raise, push, or lift. Final

(09:11):
clue clue number six. This offers proper belt positioning oak
oak ah two one anybody else five or three two one?
Rough start? That's all right? What goes under someone offers

(09:35):
proper belt positioning. It's not quite the same as a
baby version. It's backless, raises you up a little bit,
it goes under you.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Marnie, have no idea, Harty, it's a booster seat. It's
a booster seats. Was not quite the same as a
baby seat or a car seat. I like that start,
I like that start. Oh no, they're requesting a slight
volume decrease. Nailed it, not your fault. We're good, all right,

(10:05):
Here we go. Uh, nobody got number one. Here's number
two of BSU number one can be obvious or subtle,
intentional or unintentional. Clue number two often causes anxiety. Clue

(10:30):

Clue number five considered mocking or known to cause humiliation.

(11:02):
Final clue Clue number six making negative comments about someone's

relatively newish term. It's your demo, you nailed it, it's
our demographic. The marker Fox you ever body shamed? Anyone?

(11:22):
Never fantastic answer all positivity, that's right, Harker Fox leads
one to nothing. Here's number three of BS. Clue number one.

number two you might need to call them. Clue number

(11:53):

four often triggered by suspicion. Clue number five This is

(12:16):
a group clue Clue number six. It could be an
absolute blast if they fail. AJ Bomb Squad. That's right,

(12:37):
That is the bomb squad and AJ's on the board.
These are tough there.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
You guys feel like you're swimming a little bit I've
never got a heartbeat coming out of my.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
You played collegiate basketball, correct.

Speaker 6 (12:49):
I took a free throat perdue at twenty thousand people
screaming mean things at me.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
But this is this is more intense.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
That's fantastic.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
I love that. Yeah has one, Parker has one, Nord
O'Brien and Taylor stole A Long Way to Go nine
laps here's number four of BS. Clue number one doesn't
add flavor or aroma. Clue number two is one of five.

(13:46):
selling girl group of all time, AJ Baby Spice. That's right,
that is Baby Spice. Do you know your Spice girls?
Parker and Taylor. All you need to know is posh yep.
That is one of the five. Yes, Baby Spice gives
AJ the second point and the lead. He leads two
to one over Parker. A long Way to Go Here's
number five of BS. Clue number one could be based

(14:10):
on track record or an individual result. Clue number two
often found on the West coast and the northeast. Clue
number three is a simplification and generalization of a result.

(14:40):
Clue number four found on a map clue number five.
These often have large cities and greater population density. Final

(15:03):
clue clue number six, the exact opposite is red Eric
Eric blue. That's blue. Blue. States are west coast and
northeast in Minnesota. Technically, all right, so AJ has two,
Nordo on the board with one, Parker, Fox has one
Brian and Taylor. You guys can maybe get together afterwards

(15:26):
and talk about Oak's voice. Wow, all right, here we go.
Number six of b S. Clue number one might be recorded.
Clue number two might execute synchronized choreography. Clue number three

(15:54):
known to be supportive Oak Oak two one Ryan Oak
out for the rest of number six. Clue number four
not the focal point. Clue number five found behind AJ

(16:25):
backup singer. That's right, Yeah, I'm like this is music.
I was gonna know this. Were you close? Brian? Not really? No,
I was not. I had background but nothing else. Background
singer also would have counted. I had that written down
as well. Background singer back Ean singer. AJ has three,
and we're halfway through the game. Nordo has one, Parker

(16:48):
has won six to go. Here's number seven of BS
Clue number one, A famous one. You could argue the
most famous one occurred January fifteenth, two thousand and nine.
Clue number two this includes impact. Clue number three This

(17:16):
leads to death. Clue number four can cause catastrophic failure.

(17:37):
Clue number five. This can involve one animal or a

Clue number six most commonly occurs during takeoff or landing
five or three two Eric Eric bird strike is that
Sully bird strike exactly on the Hudson cars by a

(18:14):
massive bird strike that took out both engines. Lots of fun.
Bird strike. That's a fun phrase. Uh Nordal gets his
second point. A j has three, Nordal one back with two,
Parker has one. Brian and Taylor, you got five items
to go, plenty of time. Here's number eight of BS
Clue number one. Often protective. OK, well, go for it,

(18:40):
big sister. I was gonna do it. I've done it.
I had it too, Damn Brian, that was very good,
big sister. With two words often protective and you were
all over it. That is a big sister. I know
I should have swung hesitation man. Hesitation took a free throw.
All over again. AJ has three, Nordo has two, Oak

(19:03):
and Parker on the board with one each. Four to go.
Come on, Taylor, you got this. Here's number nine of BS.
Clue number one can highlight more than one person, but
most commonly features just one person. Clue number two could
potentially generate media attention. Clue number three often causes a

(19:34):
line to form AJ yep, book signing. That's right, that
is a book signing guarantees you moving on because you
already have four that guarantees at least a wildcard. But
everybody can still try to catch you and win the game.
But yes, that is point number four for AJ. Books
signing gets you point number four. Taylor, keep going even

(19:56):
though AJ now cannot be caught by you. But Parker
and Brian, you guys need to run the table to
time and force overtime. Okay, Nordo, you're two back with
three to play, So AJ, if you get any of
the remaining three, you are the winner. Here is number ten,
AJ going for the win Number ten of VS. Clue
number one, the goal is to eventually lead to an

(20:16):
anabolic state. Clue number two could feature a level of
improv Clue number three is calling and soothing. Clue number

(20:45):

(21:10):
Final clue. Clue number six might feature a fairy tale
or a picture book Eric Eric bedtime story that is
a time story in Nodo is not nice every freaking
time with its Alright, it's tough, Nordo. You have three.
So here's the situation for you, Nodo. If you get

(21:31):
one more, you're moving on because you would secure the
third wild card spot. So you need at least one more.
But you're only one back of AJ. So if you
get both of these you can just win. Parker and
Brian mathematically out. But keep going, keep trying to get
on the board. Same thing with you, obviously, Taylor AJ
one point away from winning, two to go, AJ going
for the win, Nordo trying to tie it up. Here's
number eleven of BS. Clue number one might offer some

(21:54):
protection from weather. Clue number two probably requires some level
of patience. Clue number three the goal is to have
a predictable schedule. Clue number four. This could display a

(22:24):
simple diagram or map. Clue number five found along a
designated path. Final clue Clue number six. This is where

(22:49):
you get off or aging. Yeah, the bus stop. That
is that bus stoppingly j woms and is moving on
to the semi finals. Victorious, the goat moves on to
the semis. We're all hapving for him, all right. So
here's the old situation for everybody else. We're down to
number twelve. Taylor, you need this one or you are
mathematically out of next year's tournament. Break your heart, Parker.

(23:13):
If you get this, you guarantee a spot in next
year's tournament. Brian, if you get this, you guarantee a
spot in next year's tournament. Nord If you get this,
you get wild card number three and move on to
the semis as well. Number twelve of BS. Clue number
one is circular or oval shaped. Clue number two is

(23:37):
sometimes partially yellow. AJ Banana split opens the door for
everyone else? All right, AJ out for twelve. Clue number
three first appeared in February of nineteen forty two. Clue

(24:01):
number four this uses a large light. Clue number five
This is used to summon summon someone special Oak park
ok and ohlocks up a spot in next year's tournaments.

(24:25):
All right, AJ, well done, AJ's moving on to the
shop with shot Nordo gave him a run. Ajum bumpum
bum bumm Right, rad Co uh ten off if either
AJ or Taylor win, and of course you did a
AJU won, So you'll receive ten percent off your entire
order now through Monday in store or online at radco

(24:45):
dot com when you use the promo code initials. Discount
does not apply to toppers. All right, well done, you're
moving on, thank you. So the situation is is this
for you, AJ. You will square off against Frank Vassaliro
and the Roupe Glenn Schmidt. Alexis and Muss are the
wild cards. We're going to randomize which groups they go

(25:07):
in because there's three semi finals. So we'll figure that
out maybe on Monday, but we'll spin it and Alexis
will go with one group, must will go with one group,
and then one group will just have three players. Oh
so it'll be three, four and four in the semis
wow a j Yeah yeah, no, Russ, there not at all.
I mean a lot of them went six, but like

(25:28):
there's a long run.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
Yeah, it's crazy though, because a lot of the goats
have had a hard time this year. You know, Tom
Belisarera didn't get any you know, Yep, it happens. It
is how you feel, Brian.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Oak, great, how about you?

Speaker 2 (25:45):
That's exactly how Nodo seemed.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
No, you know, I didn't expect to do anything, and
unfortunately I manifested improperly. Instead of manifesting championship David versus Goliath,
what I manifested was I just want to get into
next year, and unfortunately that's what what I'm left with,
you know, But again, it'll be fun to be back
next year.

Speaker 5 (26:05):
And I do.

Speaker 7 (26:06):
I get up every Friday morning earlier than I need
to and go out and sit in my truck and
smoke cigarettes and listen to the initials game.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Wish I could do that anytime.

Speaker 5 (26:15):
Life goal.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
When you rang in for a backup singer, what were
you thinking and then change your mind on I?

Speaker 7 (26:20):
Well, I had to think because a couple of other
clues sounded like it might work, and then I remembered
it might be recorded.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
I'm like, no one's going.

Speaker 7 (26:27):
To record ballet issues. No one's going to record ballet issues. Okay,
that was the choreography and yeah no, And so that's
what popped in and I got excited and yeah, I
hadn't had a point yet and I really really wanted one.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
When you uh, Corey, I think it was the last
one when you make a clue bat signal ed. It
ended up being did you purposely have like banana split
in your head just started with those first two?

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Nope?

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Circle or oval could be yellow, Nope, it just happened
to be that way. Yeah, I definitely try to trap
people sometimes, but it was an accident. I thought that
one was like set the trap. Yeah, walked right into it. Parker.
Do you remember like six hours ago you got body
shaming and were in the lead with one.

Speaker 6 (27:04):
I know, I was putting I felt like just this
cloud was going over a j and I was just
putting this energy out.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
I'm making him nervous.

Speaker 6 (27:10):
Third, I smiley face, making his face, and then I
had big sister too, and I just like wanted to
hear one more clue. And that's the mistakes I think
I learned. I learned that from this year is just
just rip, it just fire.

Speaker 7 (27:22):
And that's what I because I had it after the
first clue, I'm like, I should really listen for one more,
and I'm like, no, then it's going to be a
four way tie show.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
I just pulled the trigger.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
Yeah, no, that's the that's the way to go.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
But I was happy.

Speaker 6 (27:31):
I kind of put a little pressure on you. I
don't know if you felt it or not.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Yes, really really slowed down.

Speaker 6 (27:36):
My vision is right to Marty's face, and she seems
to know every one of them.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
So she was she was.

Speaker 6 (27:41):
On her on her phone probably that's gracious, No wonder
Marty's good at this gave she was like putting this
like intimidation factor.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Out of it. I don't know what was going on,
all right, So semi start next week. We got to
schedule them based on the now eleven people that are
moving on. Yeah, going Fridays probably based on everybody's schedule.
But again, like I think even you next Friday are
out right, Chris. So we just got to figure out
everybody's schedule. It most likely will be Fridays, but if
it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, we'll figure
it out.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
You want to do the wheel spin right now?

Speaker 1 (28:12):
We can if you want.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Oh my goodness, we wheel spin right now.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Let me pull it up on the old KF and watch.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Like Mustman's on pins and needles, right now and a gain.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
All right, So Alexis is moving on, muss is moving on.
Those are the two. Hey, this isn't working.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
There, he goes, okay, all right.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
So you're spinning the names, Zach or the spaces games,
right or however you want to do it. Sure, however
you feel.
