Every Friday around 8:15-8:20 a.m. on KFAN 100.3 the Power Trip Morning show plays the Initials Game presented by Wolf River Electric (WolfRiverElectric.com).

The game involves 12 items people, place, things, phrases or anything as long as they share the same initials. All 12 items share the same initials. The contestants do not know the initials until they are revealed shortly before the game starts. Each item has 6 clues. As soon as the contestants know who or what the host is describing, they yell out their name. Their name is their buzzer. If the contestant gets it right, they get a point. If they get it wrong they are out for just that item. The item does have to be pronounced correctly. It is best out of 12 with tiebreakers if needed. Tiebreaker items have 3 clues.

Sorry, sorry, sorry, Trent. Sorry, no money to be given away.
All right, here we go. You did have a letter
in the wrong spots, but that doesn't pay before I
give the initials up. Even though, Derek, it sounds like
you're shelty. It sounds like you have listened to Ryan
Jeffers's game. Let me just walk through the rules one
more time. There are twelve items. It can be people, places, things,
phrases can be absolutely anything. I start reading clues. There

(07:21):
are six clues per item. As soon as you know
who or what I'm describing. Yell out your name. Your
name is your buzzer. If you get it right, you
get the point. If you're wrong, you're out. For just
that item. I have to pronounce it correctly when you
ring and you have five seconds. So if somebody else
rings in and they are stalling because they can't think
of it, if you know it, yell out your name
and kind of wait in line.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
That's about it. Any of the rules I'm missing, I
think that's it. I think that's it. Can I confer
with my bench coach? Yes, yes, seven and we've got
seven eighths eft it's rain and they can all get
under his hat. Sam Tar, you field a turf the

(08:03):

Speaker 2 (16:05):
He's loving this. That's fine. He needs to be working out.
You're a grey Sauce. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you
are a good number two you.

Speaker 7 (16:16):
Uh. Parish has two Hawk, Sauce and may each have
one Shelt.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
You still got seven to go plenty of times at times.

Speaker 7 (16:23):
Here's number six of s L. Clue number one might
have noodles. Clue number two Paul swimming lesson. That's right,
are you kidding me? Sauce hire this man, he's a genius.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
Like?

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Oh you dabbedw spelled great.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
Smell?

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Wow? Are you kidding me? Well, that's all time right there.

Speaker 7 (17:09):
And you love noodles. But you went right to swimming.
You knew the trick. I did not swimming Lessons. Get
Sauce as second fine halftime. Parish and Sauce each have
two Hawk and Marnie each have one. Derek has his
number two. Man Shelter his number two. He's going number two.
Number one is number two. To remind you, it's Shelthy.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Yes, here we go Number seven of s L.

Speaker 7 (17:34):
Clue number one probably still involves money. Clue number two
this is authorized. Clue number three this is sometimes extended.

(18:06):
Clue number four might follow a procedure. Clue number five
this is a period of time.

Speaker 2 (18:29):
I don't clue. Clue number six.

Speaker 7 (18:32):
An absence from work for illness or medical needs.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Marnie sick leave. That's what it is, sick leave three way, man,
I didn't know that. That's actually how you do that.
That wasn't good.

Speaker 7 (18:50):
Yeah, Cheltina, who never takes six sick leave is always
ready to work?

Speaker 9 (18:55):
Is Paul meets us Lambert never never people are watching
the stream. Yeah, you're gonna have to work on your
like action stuff. The TV will be on you, so
it will be beyond me. And if it's me, I'm
all about it. Yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 7 (19:14):
Martie has two, Parish has two, Sauce has two, Hawk
has one. But there's five items to go, so this
is still a very tight game. Here's number eight of
s L.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Clue number one. You can be on this HM. Clue
number two can be created or compiled.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
Mark okay, short list, damn anyone else?

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Come.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
You were just recently on a short and I actually
had a clue on right there, mine mine rhymed with it.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
List, Oh got it? Don't say that's why it's not
going to be the answer. No, No, that was short list. Man, Wow, Parrish,
you're gonna hear it from the crowd.

Speaker 8 (20:02):
Shelty this summer swing the bat, that's what you got.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
That's true. All right, Paris takes the lead. You don't
talk to.

Speaker 7 (20:14):
Yeah, you come to me if you got me, Oh,
you know, would be the ultimate ultimate ironies. You hate
that guy, big Dom or whatever his name is. What
if you're that for Chelty? You're just the you know,
the the muscle, the heavy.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
You know. It's funny is when I said that, I
didn't even mean it.

Speaker 7 (20:32):
Yeah, instantly it was I didn't mean that way.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
All right, Parish has three.

Speaker 7 (20:38):
You have the lead with four to Goy Sauce and Marnie.
You're one back hawk you have one and a Shelty.
You still got four shots.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
You can do this. Here's number nine of s L.
Clue number one is part of an unfortunate situation. Clue
number two originally.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
Came from a reference to clouds.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Marnie, go for it, silver lining. That's that was very good,
very nice, bore.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
They're on fire. It's normally not this hard show.

Speaker 7 (21:19):
They're playing well, all right, three to go. Everybody is
still mathematically and second tie at the top between Parish
and Marnie. So you have two hawk, you have one show,
so you can still run the table for the tiber.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Good luck it happens. I mean I've done it.

Speaker 7 (21:39):
Here's number ten of s L Clue number one found
at the beginning of night. Clue number two, you could
argue their skipped h Clue number three found at the

(22:02):
end of a thumb, Clue number four. These might trick
kids and eliminate them from a school competition.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Clue number five.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Don't make a sound, Marnie, yep, silent letter.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
That's what?

Speaker 7 (22:42):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (22:42):
What what is? What's a silent letter? Got it? I
thought you meant like natal I thought you meant like
an actual letter.

Speaker 7 (22:53):
Like found at the end of a thumb would be
the B is silent or found at the beginning of night,
the K is silence.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
I do love the fact that Sauce letting his thumb on.
I love that so much. It was like pizza Sauce,
you know what.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
The reason he'd be a perfect bench coach Chelsey is
because you'd never have to look in your rear view
mirror because he has no aspirations, so.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
He's never coming killing for your job. Think about this
when I get ejected, though, he gets to manage. Yeah, yes, please?
How much can we talk like this? I don't know
what do you guys want to do? I wasn't paying
attention on my phone, well on my video game right now,

(23:41):
I would trade for him. I put in Roger Randy Johnson.

Speaker 7 (23:45):
Now, knowing that I wish I would have had the
thumb clue first, so you would have to spend thirty
seconds looking at your thought looking at it. What were
you thinking when you were looking at your thumb outside
of the pizza sauce joke?

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Were you thinking? What am I missing?

Speaker 6 (23:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:57):
I was like, man, Nail, I don't know. All right,
Marnie the lead with it on that buddy two to go?

Speaker 3 (24:08):
All right?

Speaker 7 (24:08):
Sore, Shelty, that was a good one. Shelta and Hockey.
You're mathematically eliminated, but keep playing. You need both to
come back and tie.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Marnie.

Speaker 7 (24:18):
Mark you're just one back. But Marnie, if you get
either of the remaining two, you are the winner.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Okay, are you ready cheering three?

Speaker 7 (24:24):
Number eleven Marnie going for the win. Here's number eleven
of s L.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Clue number one might feature a few people or a
very large group of people. Clue number two.

Speaker 7 (24:40):
Might be painted or drawn. Clue number three might have blocks.
Clue number four.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
If you we're here, a quick reaction usually pays off.
Clue number five could feature a gun Mark Mark, starting line.

Speaker 7 (25:16):
That's right, that's a starting line, and we have a
tie with one to go alright, that very sauce. You're
also now mathematically.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Out, just like your.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Since there's a tie, I'm probably not gonna answer here.
I want to see who wins.

Speaker 7 (25:35):
Yeah, yeah, you swing all right.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Marnie and Mark answer.

Speaker 7 (25:46):
If Marnie, if you get this right, you win Parish.
If you get this right, you win. If Chelty's sauce
or Hawk gets this correct, and we have a tie breaker,
here we go.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Here we go.

Speaker 7 (25:55):
Mark and Marty playing for the number twelve of s L.
Clueber one commonly features two to four people. Clue number
two involves cable. Clue number three in multiple ways is

(26:23):
adjacent to poles.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Huh hawk ski lift.

Speaker 7 (26:32):
That's right, that is a ski lift and we have
an overtime tiebreaker.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
A time.

Speaker 7 (26:43):

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
